My daily pain is maybe a nine in a normal person's scale, but my pain scale goes up to about thirteen. I am in pain that would put a quarterback to tears and crying on the floor for his mama, pain that makes me want to throw up from just adjusting how im sitting, pain that makes everything feel like I'm being stabbed and burned alive, but I just have to push through it. I'm not a miracle, I'm not tough, I'm just living.

I wish I could cry and lay in bed all day, but I can't. Life goes on, and I wish the pain would stop just so I could eat a bowl of cereal without my jaw feeling like it has sand and firecrackers in the joint.

Chronic pain patients hide it so well, you can’t go by how they look on the outside. They have to learn how to function with the pain, you can’t just roll around on the floor all day screaming in agony. Medical personnel in hospitals don’t even realize this. A chronic pain patient can function with a pain level that would incapacitate any other person.
