Is there a reason Catherine changes her uniform so much in her 3rd year? She looks so mature!!!

Oo yes, I've been waiting for someone to ask 👉👈

So, head details:

Finally having matching piercings

The crown in her hair, since she is "king"

Also mom hair of death as a reference to her possible death (default ending)

Deeva noticed this 👉👈 but, the sword is a reference to the vorpal sword, its the form Catherine has it take (aka finally acknowledging that its hers)

Still keeping with the half and half vest as she doesn't see her self as one thing or another, rather she's both

Her cape is much simpler than Riddle's and she often takes it off if she needs to do anything

Still keeps Riddle's bell

She doesn't have the socks (because shes finally wearing pants) so she has the two belts

She's wearing both of her cards, both her fake card (Joker) and her true card (Jack/Knave of Hearts)

Unlike Riddle who has the heart, Catherine has roses on her boots, with the leaves on the bottom showing how she's more grounded now

So: Why does Catherine change her uniform?

Out of all my ocs, Catherine is the one who loves to stand out, but why was her uniform the default(save for the black and red)? Well, she adores Riddle. Who, in my opinion would be strict about the uniform dress code. So, Catherine sticks to uniform even if she doesn't like it all that much (she's all over the place so the skirt it the worst).

Its their 2nd year when he overblots and becomes less strict, so I feel like Catherine finally will change her uniform to better fit her as an individual.

Now, this will be in the binary (male-female, yes clothing has no gender but based on old roles), Riddle has a very feminine version of the uniform with plenty of light colors(white) and his "skirt"(I know there's a word but I'm drawing a blank). And so Riddle is the Queen of Hearts. In contrast I wanted Catherine to have a darker look, one more easy to move in. A uniform befitting on a king. Riddle has a cape, Catherine has a simpler one. Riddle has boots, Catherine has similar ones without heels for practicality.

A total tease to his S/O, will constantly appear behind them or in trees. A big flirt who will only go further if his S/O gets shy. Mischievous cat. 10/10 will say "That's my girl/boy/kit", expect sudden kisses and hugs from behind

Nathaniel Blanc

Prim and proper, prepare to be out dressed. Initially cold (calls his love interest "a weed") but will eventually warm up and call them flower pet names. Not the most PDA focused oc but will steal kisses when no one is looking

Jasper Wocky

Himbo jabberwocky, a total sweet boy/"boy next door". Slightly oblivious to feelings and romantic gestures. Will use his wings as shade for his S/O or to bring them closer. If his S/O is fine with it, night flights

Xander Arripio

Soft boy, very awkward in affection and when he's flustered he will talk in 3rd person (since everyone called him by his name growing up he just took it as he has to say it). Soft spoken, hides his teeth to not scare people so expect kisses through the mask until he's comfortable (and only in private)

Jensen Byrde

The cold shoulder lover, no PDA but will also glare at whoever tries to make a move on his S/O(will pull them in with a wing). A man of few words, expect awkward pet names. He's terrible with feelings and affection but he is sincere. May take his S/O on flights and jokingly drop them before quickly catching them

Viorel Tempus

Another prim and proper, but he will show PDA just more old fashioned. If he's flustered the ticking of his clock gets louder. Will make small creations for his love. Expect old fashioned poetry and afternoon strolls

Slowly but surely, I’ll write about the history between Trein and Catrina

‘I-I can’t….’ Catrina trembled as she stood before Dante, her brother taken over by his overblot. She had been fighting him for a while, panting in exhaustion ‘I have to go all out here… but if I do…’ Her eyes widened in realization; her brother was too far gone at this point. She would have to kill her own flesh and blood. She held back cries as she dodged one of his attacks, faltering a bit as she almost tripped. She had to do this, there was no other choice.

“Dante… I’m so sorry….” Her voice cracked as she readied her attack. She took a deep breath, eyes glowing gold as she readied, aimed and – “AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!” a scream erupted as the magic hit Dante. Slowly the darkness faded off of him, Catrina almost fell to her knees in exhaustion but as she saw her brother’s body fall towards the ground, she pushed herself one last time. A yelp caught in her throat as she caught him, tumbling as she was cut up in the process.

“Dante?!?!” She cried out as she held his head on her lap “No… No… No….” her movements were frantic as she tried to find a pulse “heh…” Her eyes widened as she turned to him “Dante?!” Her brother chuckled dryly before coughing, black ooze trailing down his chin “Oh Catrina I’m sorry…” he smiled weakly “No, I’m gonna get us both out of here, you’ll see I-“ “Cat, we both know I’m dying.” he smiled sadly, reaching up to touch her cheek “Don’t say that…!!” she shouted as tears streamed down her face “So my sister can cry? Of course, the first time I see you cry has to be over me…” This only made Catrina cry more “I’m a failure of a big brother...I love you Cat.” He gave another smile as his eyelids grew heavier.

“No… no…!!! You can’t leave me alone!!!” Catrina sobbed, begging as she put her hand over his. Her eyes widened as she felt the hand against her cheek go limp “No… No…” The realization hit her as she looked at his face, peaceful behind all the marks of their battle and his overblot “Dante… No, big brother I love you… Come back please! Don’t leave me here all alone!!!” A sob tore from her throat, despair ripping through her. The wail was of complete and utter despair, her body moving with her cry as she hugged his head. The tears that streamed down her face were slowly turning black. Her brown eyes returned to their golden glow, skeletal markings appearing on her body as all she could do was screech as she held her brother’s corpse. Darkness began to surround her, as the dangerous mix of emotional despair and magical exhaustion lead her to overblot. Those who could hear her wailing would start to cry, golden tears falling as no one could find the source of their sadness.

Before Catrina could completely overblot she was hit with a spell, making her go unconscious. Slowly Trein would emerge, golden tears on his face as he looked at the siblings, children he saw as his own. Silently he walked to Catrina’s sleeping form, he closed his eyes momentarily as he removed Dante’s body from her lap. The professor would pick her up, tears falling from her closed eyes. He looked one last time at the corpse of the young man he saw as a son before walking away, holding Catrina as he went back to the mirror that lead back to NRC “If only I had come sooner…”
