Star Trek Femslash Week!

Welcome! This is a blog dedicated to the relationships between the women of Star Trek. This blog is run by two queer women who love femslash and everything Star Trek. Whether you ship Saffi, Jola, Cha’an, B7, Kiradax, Troisha, Borgnes, J7, or T’Lyndi and the many more amazing femslash couples out there, we invite you to follow us and consider participate in Star Trek Femslash Week!

On 1st May 2023 we will be releasing a participation survey to see how many people are interested in the event. This will be open for 2 weeks.

On 15th May 2023 we will open up prompt suggestions for 1 week so we can gather all your ideas.

On 22nd May 2023 voting will be open for the prompts for 1 week!  The prompts with the most votes will make it through.

On 1st June 2023 the prompt list will be out!  Start those plot bunnies up and begin typing and drawing!

3rd – 9th of September 2023 we will post daily and reblog all of the amazing works produced. 

Please tag your work as startrekfemslashweek2023 and we also will be opening up a collection on AO3 if you would like to add your fics to it.

AFoD could never work as anything other than a Voyager story, and that's a good thing.

actually, no, i do have something to add. if your work of fanfiction can be easily rebranded and sold as original fiction, then it was never good fanfiction in the first place—and, in all probability, it won’t make for good original fiction either. i have a lot of love and respect for all kinds of derivative works (unsurprisingly, considering my perennial love affair with postmodernism), but i also believe that the superior fics are the ones that actively and continuously engage with their source material (and so it wouldn’t be possible for anyone to scratch their serial numbers off without damaging their integrity). something something mutualism (the derivative work deconstructing and expanding on the source material and so keeping it alive) as opposed to parasitism (thinking you can simply lift your blorbos wholesale and run but failing to realise that uprooting them from their respective stories will render them but a shadow of a reflection of their original selves).

Round 2 is off to the races, and Seven/Samantha are still in the fight after crushing the runoff. With all of 2 votes, but still ;)

Round 1 ended with a tie between Seven/Samantha and Cornwell/Georgious, but there’s a run off going now. It ends in 2 days.

Of course, whoever wins the runoff will be going up against K’Ehleyr/Deanna so I don’t like our chances going into Round 3, but still. Getting past Round 1 with a pairing that hardly anybody seemed to think of pre-2015...

A while ago I commissioned @starfleetspacecadet​ and they did this fantastic piece of Seven hanging out with the Wildmans! (Or, Seven assisting Samantha with some xenobiology research and Naomi doing her best to also assist). It’s wonderful, please gaze upon it.
