Maria's First Snow (A Fluffy/Mildly Angsty Castlevania Nocturne Drabble)
Summary: It snows in Machecoul for the first time since Tera fled from Russia. 5-year-old Maria is excited for her first snowfall, while Tera has mixed feelings; she's reminded of her beautiful homeland but heartsick for what she had to leave behind. But she does her best to make sure her little girl has a fun day with her first snow. Pure fluffy drabble
Author's Note: I just realized that I never posted this lil drabble on my Tumblr, so here it is! I want to try to write more fluffy fics featuring Tera. I love that woman so much. Hope you enjoy!
It was early morning in Machecoul, but you could hardly tell with the dense clouds covering the sun. 5-year-old Maria’s eyes fluttered open and she yawned. She pushed herself away from her mother’s sleeping form as she sat up in bed, still blinking the sleep out of her eyes. Her eyes were drawn to the window, and the sight fully awakened her; soft fluffy snow was falling outside and had already blanketed the ground.
“Wow,” Little Maria said in awe, mouth hanging open. She started to shake her mom awake in excitement. “Mama! Mama, wake up!”
Tera stirred and turned over. “What is it, Masha, is everything all right?” she asked, still half-asleep.
“Better than all right! It’s snowing, mama, it’s snowing!!”
Tera slowly sat up and looked out the window. Her eyes snapped open when she saw that it was, indeed, snowing.
“See, mama, see??” Maria asked, her enthusiasm only growing.
“I do,” Tera started, a small smile forming on her face. “It’s never snowed in Machecoul since I’ve been here. This is… extraordinary.”
Maria snuggled into her mother’s lap. “Is this what the snow looked like in Russia?”
Tera felt a small ache in her heart at the mention of her homeland. She hugged Maria close and kissed the top of her head.
“The snow in Russia is unlike any other snow in the world,” she answered wistfully. “But this does remind me of home.”
Tera hadn’t even noticed that tears had gathered in her eyes.
“Mama, are you crying?” Maria asked, suddenly concerned for her mother.
“Oh, no, no dear,” Tera blinked the tears back. “The snow is just bringing back memories.”
“Happy memories?”
Tera closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She locked eyes with her daughter and put on her brightest smile. “This is your first snow, is it not? How about you and I play outside? I’ll show you the games we played in Russia.”
Maria’s eyes sparkled and gave her mother an open-mouthed smile. “Yes yes, I want to play in the snow, let’s go right now!” she jumped off the bed and started running towards the door.
Tera laughed at her exuberant and adventurous daughter. “Hold on, Maria, we need to make sure you’re dressed nice and warm so you don’t catch cold.”
Tera grabbed a coat from the foyer and buttoned Maria up. She also took a scarf and wrapped it around Maria’s neck a few times. When Tera was done, she slid her hands to Maria’s shoulders and looked at her daughter lovingly. There were so many similarities between Maria and the sister Tera had to leave behind, but Tera pushed those thoughts out of her head.
“There we are, that should keep away the chill,” Tera said, caressing Maria’s face one more time. “Are you ready to have fun in the snow?
“Yeah, let’s go, let’s go!” Maria got on her tiptoes, opened the front door, and rushed outside. Maria was growing happier with each second. “Wooooow this is amazing!! I can see my breath, look mama I can see my breath!”
Tera stepped outside, wrapping her own scarf around her neck and smiling at her daughter. “Yes, I can see, Maria. You can see your breath because it’s so cold.”
Maria started spinning in circles, giggling with pure joy. Her laughter was infectious and Tera found herself laughing too. She knew one day she would have to tell Maria the truth about her past, about her sister, about why she really needed to leave Russia. But for now, Tera wanted her little daughter to enjoy being a child experiencing her first snowfall.
Maria fell backwards on the snow and continued giggling. Tera walked over and laid on the snowy ground next to Maria. “Well, this looks like a good place to start. I’m going to teach you how to make a snow angel.”

I Miss Mum: A Castlevania Nocturne Fanfic
Summary: 10-year-old Richter Belmont is having trouble adjusting to his new life in France. Auntie Tera comforts him after a nightmare and reassures him that she is there for him. Pure hurt/comfort domestic fluff
Author's Note: Oh boy, it's my first fluffy Castlevania Nocturne fic! I'm very interested in Richter's life after he moved in with Auntie Tera and Maria, I might write more if inspiration strikes. Enjoy!
Two weeks. It had been two weeks since Richter had arrived in France and moved in with his Auntie Tera and her daughter Maria. Tera welcomed Richter with open arms, immediately treating him as if he were her own son. She radiated kindness and warmth, which Richter immediately gravitated towards. Although he wasn’t fully conscious of this, he was craving comfort and a mother’s touch. He was still in shock over the death of his mother after all.
Although he felt very comfortable with Tera, Richter was still getting adjusted to his new life in France. He was very withdrawn. He stayed in his room most of the time, only coming out to eat and use the privy. 7-year-old Maria tried to get him to play with her a few times, but Richter wasn’t up to it. He was never unkind to Maria, but he made it clear that he wanted to be left alone.
“Mum, why doesn’t Richter want to play with me? Did I do something wrong?” Little Maria would ask her mother, hurt and confused.
“No, sweetheart, you haven’t done anything,” Tera would answer comfortingly. “Remember, Richter just moved here from far away. He’s still getting used to us. Just give him some time and have patience. He’ll open up when he’s ready.”
***
“I’m sorry, Richter. I’m so sorry.”
Richter watched helplessly as his mother’s shield of ice was worn down by Olrox. The dragon vampire raised his tail and plunged it into Julia Belmont’s heart.
***
Richter’s eyes shot open and he woke up, gasping for air.
The same nightmare. He’d had it almost every night since his mother was killed. But something about this one was different; it had felt so real, almost as if it was happening again. Richter got out of bed and quietly walked through the halls, not entirely sure what he wanted to do or what he was looking for.
Auntie Tera’s bedroom door was opened halfway and Richter peeked in, being as quiet as possible so she wouldn’t notice him. The light from the full moon cast a silvery glow through her window. Tera was laying on her side in bed, Maria fast asleep next to her. The little girl was on her back, mouth open and breathing softly. Tera watched her daughter lovingly, gently resting the back of her hand on the little girl’s cheek. Richter stared at mother and daughter and felt a pain in his heart, a deep sadness that he couldn’t shake. Tears ran down his face, and before he knew it a loud sob escaped him.
Tera looked up at the sound and saw the bereft young boy outside her door. Her heart dropped at the pain and sadness emanating from his whole being. So much sadness in such a little boy. “Oh Richter.” She said sympathetically.
Richter rubbed his arm quickly over his eyes, trying to stop the tears. Tera patted the free side of her bed. “Come. Sit with me a while.”
Richter hesitated a bit, but he listened to his aunt and crawled into her bed. Tera wrapped an arm around Richter and hugged him into her side. Richter buried his face in her chest and continued to cry.
“I’m sorry, Auntie Tera,” he said through his tears. “I didn’t mean to bother you and Maria.”
“Shhhh, it’s all right, my dear, you’re not bothering us at all,” Tera said reassuringly, tightening her hug. She glanced at Maria and smiled. “Maria’s a deep sleeper, she’s not likely to wake up anytime soon.”
Richter and Tera sat in silence for a few minutes, Tera gently rocking Richter as he continued to cry into her chest.
“I miss mum.” Richter said plaintively. Tera kissed the top of Richter’s head.
“I know.” Tera felt tears prickle in her own eyes, memories of her own trauma returning to her. “I know how much you must be hurting.”
Tera felt Richter nod against her.
“It hurts so much that you can’t even find the words to describe what you’re feeling.”
Richter nodded again.
“Sweet boy, you’ve been through so much in such a short amount of time. You lost your mama, had to travel to a new country, move in with people you never met. You’re exhausted. Not just in body, but in spirit.”
Richter sniffed, not really knowing how to reply.
“But Richter, you still have people who care about you. Maria and I, we’re here for you. We’ll never be able to replace the family your mother gave you, but we can still love you. You can come to me anytime, Richter. If you want to talk, play, or cuddle like we’re doing right now, you can come to me. Please don’t feel like you need to carry all of this pain by yourself.”
Richter took his face out of Tera’s chest and looked at her. Tera ran a hand through his hair and wiped his tears away with the edge of her nightshirt
“Can… can I sleep in your bed tonight?” Richter asked quietly, almost sounding embarrassed. Tera smiled.
“Of course you can. Maria still sleeps in my bed every night. The more the merrier.”
“Th—thank you, Autie Tera.” Richter answered as he yawned. “Maria’s been asking me to go to the creek with her. Maybe… maybe we can do that tomorrow?”
“I think that’s an excellent idea. Maria will love it too,” Richter’s eyes were drooping. “And now I think it’s time for sleep. It’s very late after all.”
Richter laid down in the bed and cuddled up to Tera again. The crying absolutely exhausted him, and before he knew it, Richter had fallen into a deep, more peaceful sleep. Tera looked at the young boy and saw that his breathing had already evened out. His face was smoother, no signs of distress. Just calm. The last thing Richter felt before falling into his slumber was Tera’s comforting arm around him, keeping him safe and secure.
Maybe life in France was going to be all right after all.

Thoughts After Castlevania Nocturne (MAJOR MAJOR SPOILERS)
So Richter thought Alucard was a myth. So that has me thinking, what happened with the Belmont family history records in the last 300 years? Were Belmonts bad at record keeping? Was there a fire in the Belmont Hold that wiped out the history books? Did the story of Dracula’s defeat pass down but somehow the details were distorted? How is the town of Belmont remembered? Does is still exist in 1792? Did Alucard have children with Greta and watch as he outlived them? WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST 300 YEARS????
Also I have a headcanon that a portrait of Alucard (looking very sexy and homoerotic) was found in the Belmont hold with no context/description, so future Belmonts just assumed he was a sexual fantasy of one of their ancestors. Thus, a myth
I’m still very much on a high from Castlevania Nocturne, season 2 when?

Precocious Magic (A Fluffy Netflix Castlevania Fic)
Summary: Trevor and Sypha's youngest child is cranky and they can't figure out why. Turns out the answer is something he inherited from his mother
Notes: I'm inspired again baby!! I started this fluffly drabble about 2 years ago and I finally felt inspired enough to finish it! For context, Trevor and Sypha have 3 kids; Sonia's 8 and hasher father's hair and mother's eyes. Christopher's 5 and looks almost exactly like Trevor. And Mateo is 6-months and looks exactly like Sypha. There are connections to my other fics as well. Enjoy!
***
Trevor was sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast with his son and daughter. He heard a small wail from the bedroom and raised an eyebrow.
“Sypha? You and Mateo okay in there?” Trevor called.
“We’re fine, Trevor, we’ll be out in a few minutes.” Sypha called back. Trevor hummed and continued eating.
“Dad, can we train more today?” Sonia asked eagerly. “I’ve been practicing with the whip every day, I can hit all the targets you put out now!”
“Is that so?” Trevor asked with a smirk, fatherly pride in his voice. “Sure, kiddo. Finish your breakfast and then we’ll go to the training yard.”
Sonia made an excited sound and shoveled food into her mouth faster. Christopher pouted.
“It’s not fair, I’m plenty old enough to use a whip. I want to train too!” Christopher argued.
Trevor sighed. “Christopher, we already talked about this. It’s Belmont tradition that our children begin training at 6. That’s when your sister started, that’s when I started, and that’s when you’ll start. You’re almost there, it’s only a few months until your 6th birthday.”
“My 6th birthday is forever from now! I want to train now!”
“Stop being such a baby, Christopher,” Sonia snapped. “Dad already said he’ll teach you when you’re 6, so stop whining and wait. That’s what I did.”
“I’m not a baby!”
“Then stop acting like one!”
“You’re mean, Sonia!” Christopher hit Sonia on the shoulder with an open-palm.
“Cut it out, Christopher!” Sonia exclaimed as she hit her brother upside the head. This led to the two children grabbing and wrestling each other.
“Kids, KIDS!” Trevor yelled as he stood up and yanked his children off of each other. “What did I tell you about fighting at the table?”
“What is all the shouting about?” Sypha asked in an agitated tone as she entered the kitchen holding a cranky-looking Mateo.
“Christ, why did we have 3 kids, Sypha? They outnumber us now.” Trevor asked. It was then that he noticed how exhausted Sypha looked. He softened his tone. “Hey, are you and Mateo all right?”
“Mattie’s having a rough morning,” Sypha responded as she bounced her sad baby son. “He’s cranky. I do not know why he is cranky, but he is cranky. Maybe some breakfast will cheer him up.”
Sypha placed the baby in the high chair and got him a small bowl of porridge. She scooped up a spoonful and brought it towards Mateo’s mouth. He pursed his lips together and turned his head away from the spoon.
“Come on, Mattie, it’s porridge. It’s your favorite,” Sypha coaxed as she tried to feed him again. Mateo turned his head the other way. “Please, baby?”
Mateo’s bottom lip began to tremble and he started crying. Sypha sighed and picked him up again.
Trevor frowned at the sight of his tired wife and inconsolable son. He reached out his arms. “Sypha, let me hold him. Maybe he needs to be in another pair of arms. That worked with the other 2 when they were babies.”
Sypha, willing to do anything to see her youngest child happy again, handed the baby to Trevor. Trevor adjusted the baby in his arms. “Good morning, little man. What’s going on, huh? You’re normally so happy when you wake up.”
Mateo kept whimpering as his father bounced him. The baby took an open palm and patted Trevor’s shoulder a few times.
Trevor suddenly felt a burning sensation on his shoulder. He looked down and saw that his tunic was on fire.
“What the…” Trevor stood up in alarm. “Shit! Sypha!”
Sypha’s eyes widened. “My god, hold on!” With a twist of her hand, the flame on Trevor’s shirt disappeared. She rushed over to him to inspect the damage.
“Are you all right? What happened?” Sypha asked as she examined both Trevor and Mateo.
“It was Mattie!” Sonia said excitedly. “I saw it! Fire came out of Mattie’s hand and set Dad’s tunic on fire!”
“Yeah, I saw it too!” Christopher said with just as much excitement. “That was amazing!”
Trevor and Sypha looked at each other in astonishment before looking at Mateo. The baby was now smiling and giggling, all signs of distress gone. Sypha beamed.
“Mateo!” She exclaimed as she took the baby from Trevor and held him close. “You used magic! You’re 6-months-old and you can use magic! I knew it! I knew I sensed magic power in you when you were still in my belly! Oh baby I’m so proud of you!” Sypha peppered the baby’s face in kisses, which made Mateo giggle even more.
“How is that even possible? Didn’t you say that children with magic powers don’t start showing them until they’re older?” Trevor asked. He felt the pain from his burn and hissed through his teeth. “Ah fuck, he really got me.”
Sonia and Christopher giggled. “Hehe, Dad said ‘fuck.’” Sonia stated through giggles.
Sypha tempered her happiness just a little so she could use her “stern mom” voice. “Trevor, don’t curse in front of the kids. And Sonia, don’t repeat your father when he swears.”
“Come on Sypha, give me a break on this one. This is a pretty extraordinary circumstance.” Trevor responded. He stood up and walked over to the bucket of cool well water so he could treat his burn.
Sypha’s lips turned into a smile again as she looked at Mateo. “Well, it is pretty extraordinary. The Speakers’ memory stores don’t have any records of a child younger than 5 being able to use magic. And do you know who that child was?”
“Was it you?”
“It was me!” Sypha beamed again as she hugged Mateo. “Mattie inherited precocious magic use from his mama!”
Mateo gurgled in happiness before reaching his hand out again. Another burst of flame shot out of his hand and towards the window curtains, mere centimeters away from Trevor. Trevor barely had enough time to jump out of the way.
“Jesus Christ this kid’s trying to kill me!” Trevor exclaimed. Sonia and Christopher couldn’t stop laughing. Sypha reached her hand out again and extinguished the fire on the curtains with a quick hand gesture.
“Guess that’s something I’ll have to get used to,” Sypha said as she ran a hand through Mateo’s thick red curls. “Magic is very hard to control when you’re young. And it’s uncomfortable. I remember setting my caravan’s wagon on fire when I was 5. It was an accident of course. Before it happened, I felt bad stomach pains. I felt like I was going to burst from the inside. Before I knew it, fire shot out of my hands and the wagon was on fire.”
“Hmm, you think that’s why Mateo was cranky this morning?” Trevor asked. Sypha’s eyes widened in realization.
“Yes, that must be it!” she exclaimed. “Look how happy he is now. I didn’t even notice in all the excitement! Oh my poor baby, you must have been hurting this morning from all the magic inside, weren’t you?” Sypha snuggled Mateo even more.
“So what’s next? You said that there’s no record of a child younger than 5 using magic. What should we do with Mateo then?” Trevor asked.
Sypha looked at the ceiling in thought, now looking a little concerned. “That’s the question isn’t it? This was new territory when I first started using magic. I have a few strategies, but not many. Do you think the Belmont Hold has any books that can help?”
“Definitely worth a shot,” Trevor replied. “It’s been almost 10 years since we first went down there and we’re still finding new material.”
“Uncle Alucard’s library too!” Sonia exclaimed. “He has books about everything.”
“And the Danesti library!” Christopher added.
“Ah, what smart children I have,” Sypha said proudly as she bent down to kiss her 2 oldest children. “We have a lot of options. I’m sure to find something out.”
“I’ll walk you to Alucard’s then,” Trevor said as he finished bandaging his shoulder. “It’s on the way to the training yard. Sonia, are you still up for whip training today?”
Sonia nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah, I can’t wait!”
“Mum, can I go with you and Mattie to Uncle Alucard’s?” Christopher asked. Sypha ran her free hand through Christopher’s hair.
“Of course, mi amor. I’ll spend the day with my 2 favorite boys.” Sypha said fondly. “You and Sonia go wait for us outside. Your father and I will be right there.”
The children ran outside, leaving Trevor, Sypha, and Mateo alone. Sypha walked over to Trevor and put a gentle hand on his shoulder.
“You’re not hurt too badly, right?” Sypha asked. Trevor shook his head.
“Nah, this body’s put up with more pain than that,” Trevor answered. “I felt it though. If Mateo’s magic is already this strong, he’s going to be a powerful magician when he’s older. And he’s got the perfect teacher to guide him along the way.”
Trevor and Sypha leaned their foreheads together and smiled. Sypha’s smile slowly turned into a devilish grin.
“And Mattie has a perfect subject to use as target practice,” Sypha said as she pat Trevor’s cheek.
“Hmm… wait, what was that?”

Morning Sickness (A Fluffy Netflix Castlevania Drabble)
Summary:  Sypha has morning sickness and Trevor frets over her. Short and sweet. MAJOR SEASON 4 SPOILERS
Sypha was awakened early in the morning by a wave of nausea. She sat up and groaned. As soon as she blinked the sleep out of her eyes, she vomited straight into the bucket beside the bed.
“Sypha?” Trevor asked groggily, awakened by Sypha’s heaving. He realized what was happening and his eyes snapped open. He shifted closer to Sypha and began rubbing comforting circles on her back. “Hey, Sypha, you ok?”
Sypha lifted her head after retching once more to give Trevor a weak smile.
“It’s fine, Trevor, just morning sickness,” Sypha assuaged. “Alucard said this would happen about 2 months in, remember? I’m just glad I left the bucket beside the bed last night, or else-“
Sypha was interrupted by another wave of nausea as she put her head back down to vomit again. Trevor continued to rub circles on her back. When Sypha was finished, she lay back down and took a few deep breaths.
“Hang on,” Trevor said as he reached for a rag on his nightstand. He dipped it into a bowl of water and gently began to wipe Sypha’s mouth.
“There we are. Are you sure this is normal?” Trevor asked as he returned the rag to his nightstand. He placed the back of his hand on Sypha’s forehead. “You’re a bit too warm for my liking.”
Sypha smiled again. “Such a worrywart you are. Yes, this is normal. I’ve seen many other women in the Speaker tribes go through the same thing. It’s not the most pleasant feeling in the world, but it will pass.”
“Regardless, I’m going to take care of you.” Trevor said as he brushed the bangs out of Sypha’s face. “What’s usually good for upset stomachs? Toast and tea? I’ll bring you some from the kitchens.”
“Trevor that’s not necessary. Just give me a few more minutes and I’ll be fine. I’ll be up and helping the villagers with the town-building efforts in no time.”
“Ohhhh no you don’t,” Trevor disagreed. “You’re staying in bed until I say so. I won’t have you overexerting yourself.”
“Trevor-“
“Please, Sypha,” Trevor asked softly, cupping her cheek in his hand. “I just want to make sure that you and the baby are ok. I was gone a whole two weeks while you fended for yourself. I’m here now. Please let me take care of you.”
Sypha looked at Trevor and saw such sincerity shining in those icy blue eyes. She had to admit that she was moved by Trevor’s genuine concern for her well-being. So she sighed and relented.
“Very well. Toast and tea sound good this morning. The baby has a taste for it too,” Sypha replied as she put a hand on her barely visible baby bump. “Alucard has that tea from Paris that I really like. Could you make me some of that please?”
Trevor chuckled softly and kissed Sypha on the forehead. “Anything you want, love.”

In Daddy’s Arms (A Fluffy Netflix Castlevania Drabble)
Summary:  Trevor comforts his crying baby in the middle of the night. MAJOR SEASON 4 SPOILERS.
It was the middle of the night and Trevor and Sypha were sleeping peacefully, Trevor’s arms wrapped around Sypha’s stomach. They were soon awakened by Sonia’s wails in the adjoining nursery and both parents stirred.
“Your turn.” Sypha mumbled as she pushed her elbows into Trevor’s ribs. Trevor groaned at the physical pressure.
“OK, I’m getting up.” Trevor replied groggily as he reluctantly unwrapped his arms around Sypha and got out of bed. “Hang on, princess, your papa’s coming.”
Trevor turned the doorknob and entered his daughter’s nursery. He was greeted by the sight of the baby sitting up in her crib, tears running down her face.
“Hey there, Sonia, what’s the matter?” Trevor asked softly as he shut the door behind him. He approached the crib and reached in to pick up the baby. “What’s all the crying about, hmm?”
Sonia’s cries turned into whimpers when she was in Trevor’s arms. Her big teary blue eyes, the eyes she inherited from her mother, looked into her father’s. Trevor smiled lovingly and wiped Sonia’s tears away. He was so in love with his baby, he knew that she had him whipped (no pun intended) the second she was born. His heart swelled even further when Sonia pressed herself against Trevor’s chest.
“Is that all?” Trevor asked incredulously. “You just wanted to be held?”
Although she still had tears on her face, Sonia smiled and nuzzled into her father’s chest.
“You’re lucky you’re so goddamed cute, Sonia,” Trevor laughed as he walked over to the rocking chair in the corner. “Err, don’t tell your mother I cursed, ok?”
Sonia gurgled in response and wrapped her tiny hand around one of Trevor’s fingers. Trevor raised his eyebrows in surprise.
“I never noticed what a strong grip you have,” he started. “That’s really going to help when you start learning how to use a sword and a whip. Heh, a solid grip at 4-months-old. You’re a true Belmont.”
Sonia kept a tight hold on Trevor’s finger, causing Trevor to look at both his hand and arm. The redness had started to fade, but the scars from his battle with Death were still there. He sighed.
“I should be able to teach you proper combat when you’re older,” he started wistfully. “I can’t really use this arm to fight right now. Alucard said it would take at least 2 years to heal enough for me to fight again. I hate not being at my full strength, but I guess I should be thankful I didn’t lose the damn thing.”
Sonia looked up at her father curiously, appearing as if she could understand his every word.
“But I suppose my arm can still do some important things,” Trevor said with a smile. “It’s still strong enough to hold you. Although I wish you didn’t need it in the middle of the bloody night. Let’s try working on that starting tomorrow, shall we? Can you let your mama and papa get a full night’s sleep?”
Sonia smiled in a way that seemed to say “I’m going to keep you and mommy up all night for at least the next year.” Trevor rolled his eyes but kept a smile on his face.
“In all honesty, I think I like these late-night comfort sessions,” Trevor started. “Father/daughter bonding and all that. I… I keep forgetting that I came so close to never even meeting you, let alone getting to hold you.”
Trevor slowly began to rock in the rocking chair. Father and daughter’s eyes were locked on each other and Trevor felt tears prickle in his.
“Now I get to see you grow. God, I didn’t think I’d ever get to see another Belmont. But you’re here. And I’m alive,” Trevor sniffed and tried to will his tears back into his eyes. “Don’t tell your mother I teared up in front of you either, ok? I want her to keep thinking that I’m the tough, manly hunter she met back in Gresit… ah who am I kidding, she already knows I’m a sap. And she hated me when we first met each other in Gresit. It’s a wonder that you’re here today, Sunny. Life is a funny thing I suppose.”
The gentle rocking motion was beginning to make Sonia drowsy. She kept her grip around Trevor’s finger, but her eyes began to droop and she audibly yawned.
“There we go, back to sleep with you,” Trevor said fondly. “But don’t worry. I’ll keep holding you. I’ll be right here. I’ll always be right here for you, Sonia.”
And he was.
