yelling from the rooftops: I love Shuji Ikutsuki and his lost potential as a villain

Imagine if he had a social link event where everytime you spoke to him, his card rank would never go up. A literal indicator for how this man struggles with finding bonds, as an antithesis of the story's core message. In addition to this, it'd be fascinating if MC would mention their own trauma and experience, as an attempt to connect (unlike every other social link), and for Shuji to give empathetic answers like the team dad should. Only... your social links with him suspiciously never grow.

Hhh I have so many thoughts about this man. Have some headcanons about his youth and upbringing that hurt the heart to think about. Adapting it into my dad Shuji au lore lol, only that dad Shuji does end up forming the bonds he wish he had when he was younger
