Why I Kin Yukiko Amagi

Hello freind! Welcome to a new series of me explaining my kin list!

If you don't know already, kins are when a persona relates a lot to a ficticious characters. This can be because of looks, personality, backstory, anything that the kinner relates to really. People usually kin more than one character, so they have lists (it's a not brainer really).

The kin for today is Yukiko amagi! The quiet, sometimes silly heiress to the amagi inn. She's one of the founding members of the investagation team, and was the first victim to be rescued by them.

Reasons why:

1. Sense of humour

One of the mainthings i've noticed is that we share the same kind of humour. Yukiko's sense of humor is oddly childish, sometimes flat out absurdist, chashing with her traditional and mature image. Any silly coincidence makes her roar out in hyena like laughter. She seems so genuinly happy when she laughts, and i'm usually laughing along with her.

I would gladly put make my freinds wear a Stache and glasses, to burst out laughing at how rediculous it all is. I often find myself making stupid jokes that dissapoint my freinds. (like garlek bread, to be shown in another post). I'm often lose my shit at the most mundane things, or that which others find mundane, and am the only one doing so.

2. Genral demeanour

i do acknolege that i'm not the heiress of a historic inn, how ever, I've often felt like i'm the most aloof of all my freinds, while simulaneously being the most mature.

we have very similar personalities

- can often seem cold or off without meaning to

- seems quite aloof, but had a more sadistic side (like when she suggests to cover hanako's nose and mouth, and isn't phased when chie says it would most likely kill her)

-general intrest in cooking (i'm not mystery food x bad, but i want to improve just like she does in her social link)

3. feels like a helpless princess

okay this one is a biggie

Yukiko's shadow reveal a lot about how yukiko feels as if she is helpless in her situation. Her fruststation is that she can't seem to get any real control over her life, feeling as if it's all on rail and she's unable to say or do much. Her shadows entire thing is finding a prince who can save her, a role which she seems to place on chie

It's nearly a 1:1 parallel for my own life

I can feel helpless and trapped in my own mind due to anxietty, adhd and possible depression. I live very far away from my freinds in a small town thats not to much unlike inaba. I feel as if I'm not allowed the freedoms i should have to go places I want. It's feels helpless, like there no exitement. I can't seem to feel close to anyone, which makes me feel even more helpless.I feel like i need someone, or something to come and rescue me. i want to be able to go places and do things.

There was this one girl who served the role of chie, at least in my mind. She bought me life and wonder and was this ray of sunshine, that, just for one fleeting second, made me feel more alive than i'd ever felt in my life. I loved her, but she didn't love me, and now i'm starting to become disillusioned with everthing that stemed from that. Without her i feel like some useless princess in a castle.

But now i look at yukiko, who after the events of her dungeon and social link, realises that she wasn't really trapped at all. All she needed was strenght to push forward. she became her own prince, in a way, fighting for herself, not sitting on her ass waiting for whoever to come and rescue me. And i feel like thats a lesson a lot of us, myself included, can learn from.
