Last night, I finished reviewing my mistakes from the last topik exam, especially the ones from the ์ฝ๊ธฐ part. After that, I studied three grammar lessons from TTMIK. The first one covered the multiple ways to say "I mean" in Korean such as ๊ทธ๋Ÿฌ๋‹ˆ๊นŒ, ์ œ ๋ง ๋œป์€, ~๋ผ๊ณ /~๋‹ค๊ณ , ๋ง์ด์—์š”. The second lesson was how to ask "What do you mean?" which is ๋ฌด์Šจ ๋ง์ด์—์š”? And lastly, the word builder ๊ณผ which means surpass or go over, so there were many new words and some I've been recently learning so now I understand them better.

Yesterday was a national holiday so I took the advantage of studying in the morning like I used to do, therefore this naturally illuminated picture, and thankfully I did because after it I felt a bit sick. In that study session, I studied grammar from TTMIK and I learned how to say "I'm not sure if..." with ~(์œผ/๋Š”)๋‚˜์ง€ ์ž˜ ๋ชจ๋ฅด๊ฒ ์–ด์š” which I enjoyed a lot because it's so used in daily conversations! After this, the second lesson was ~(์œผ)ใ„ด/๋Š” ๊น€์— to say "while you're at it..." meaning that you take the opportunity to do something else along with the primary action. At the end, I just studied a sentence building drill lesson that was useful to review a couple of recent grammar points that have been learned on this level.

Last night I had my Korean tutoring number 18 and it was very productive. I learned so many new words that could probably be in a topik test related to subways and accidents. Then, I learned a new connector which is ๋Š๋ผ๊ณ  meaning "because" which is similar to ~์•„/์–ด/ํ•ด์„œ and ~๋•Œ๋ฌธ์—, but implying that a negative result occurred because an action was done. I understood better this word with examples. After this, we took a close look to my mistakes in some topik answers and along with it more vocab was learned or at least written down haha

Last night was time to practice the TOPIK with a mock exam. I did the 60th TOPIK exam where I got 173 points but in reality it was 153 points which is still amazing! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ But why's that you might ask. Well, since I've been practicing for a long time with the ones available online, I'm now left with only three exams to practice, including the one I did yesterday. So, I'm trying to use them wisely so I can continue to have my mind ready for the TOPIK in November. However, I knew that one of those was the one my Korean tutor picked to practice and review some vocab with a couple of questions in the last class, so I knew I would knew the answer to some of those questions. Therefore, I was careful to mark the ones I knew beforehand during the exam and then just answered the rest normally. I'm telling you all this so you can know that today's results had that factor included which it doesn't take away my merits in getting a higher score than the last mock exam and that makes me happy.

Last night, I studied three lessons on TTMIK. The first one was ~๋Š” ์ค‘์ด์—์š”, which I already learned with my Korean tutor so it was just a small review. Then, it was the word builder for ~๋‹˜ which I was already familiar with but I still learned a few new titles. The third one, and the one I enjoyed the most was ์–ด์ฐจํ”ผ because it means "one way or another, anyway, any case" and also because its pronunciation. I then wrote a couple of sample sentences with the last grammar and I'm waiting to see if I used it correctly. After all this, I had enough energy to review and do my homework for my Korean tutoring this week. I'm glad I'm feeling more energetic to study. Let's hope it keeps up.

What a week! Last night, I decided to review both the ๋“ฃ๊ธฐ and ์ฝ๊ธฐ parts of the topik I took last week. I understood better the paragraphs or audios where I had wrong answers. I also picked some vocab which I need to put into my Quizlet account but not today, I'm tired. After doing all that, I felt I had a better understanding of Korean than a couple months ago, so even if my study method isn't perfect, I guess it's good enough for me to advance little by little and I love feeling that kind of progress.

Last night, I studied two lessons on level 6 which were ๊ฐ€์žฅ ~์ค‘์˜ ํ•˜๋‚˜ to say "one of the most..." which is kinda easy to remember as well as the second lesson which was ~๋„ ๋ผ์š”?, ~๋„ ๊ดœ์ฐฎ์•„์š”?, ~๋„ ๋ ๊นŒ์š”? for "do you mind if I..." and so ~์•„/์–ด/์—ฌ ์ฃผ์‹ค๋ž˜์š”? meaning "do you mind if you..." but since there are so many to remember things can get messy in my head ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ I also have been very unproductive reviewing my Quizlet decks to study vocab. Yesterday, before having dinner, I practiced some of them but I still forget to do them every day. I hope I can adapt.

Last night, even when it was my birthday I decided to take a topik mock exam. This time was the 41th and I got almost the same score as two weeks ago, since I only got one more point. I have to be honest and I was very stressed while answering it because there was a lot of noice at home, so many people talking so it was really difficult to answer and concentrate. So, I'm happy I got a better score than before considering the circumstances. Although, I'm a bit worried that if I keep so close to the score limit then I'll lose the exam with one or two wrong answers. But I'm going to keep going and be positive about it, which it's not much my forte.

STARTED LEVEL 6! โœจ๐ŸŽ‰
From now on, I'll be studying at night which means the lighting will be bad and also my posting schedule will change, so probably the appearance of my posts in your feed too but anyway! I'm posting because I want to keep myself accountable, so it's okay if I don't post pics with natural lighting and all that.
Last night, I started level 6 and studied the first two lessons. The first one was ์–ด๋•Œ์š”? and ~๋Š” ๊ฑฐ ์–ด๋•Œ์š”? to say "how about...?" while connecting nouns and the verbs respectively. The second lesson was ์–ด๋–ป๊ฒŒ ์ƒ๊ฐํ•ด์š”? / ์–ด๋–ค ๊ฒƒ ๊ฐ™์•„์š”? both meaning "what do you think about...?" plus the use of ~์— ๋Œ€ํ•ด์„œ for the specific "about" when using the first one, which at the end all the sentences end up really long compared to ์–ด๋–ค ๊ฒƒ ๊ฐ™์•„์š” where it doesn't have to be added.
Also, today's my birthday. I'm turning 25 ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Send good energy ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŽ‰โค

Today I reviewed the ์ฝ๊ธฐ part of the 37th topik mock exam because I had 18 wrong answers. I was more worried about the six last answers because I was really lost when answering them and I know it's because the lack of vocabulary. So I focused on understanding their meaning and highlighting the unknown words in those wrong answers. Today I'm also going to reorganize my study routine for the last 2 months I have left before the TOPIK date, so maybe I can have a better method to force my mind to remember the vocab I so desperately need.

Today I did the last three lessons + dialogue from level 5. The first lesson was ~(์œผ)ใ„น ์ˆ˜๋ฐ–์— ์—†๋‹ค meaning "to have no other choice/ it's obviously expected to be". The second one was ~์•˜/์—ˆ/์˜€๋‹ค๊ณ  for quotations in the past and ~(์œผ)ใ„น ๊ฑฐ๋ผ๊ณ  for quotations in the future so in english it'd be "they said that they did/ had done..." and "they said that they would" respectively. Last lesson was sentence building drill to refresh the structures of Korean sentences. At the end of the lesson I tested myself with the level 5 dialogue and let me tell you they speak fast! After hearing it a couple of times, I understood around 60% of the dialogue and then I listened to it again but with the Korean transcript and understood 78% of it. The rest of it was because either they used unknown words or that the grammar sequence was difficult for me to understand. But overall I did pretty good.

I'm so damn happy!! I did the 37th TOPIK mock exam today and I got 141 points! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ That's exactly one point above the passing mark for level 2 and honestly if I get this score for the real exam in November, I'd still be happy. During this exam, I was way calmer than the other ones which is kinda uncommon, although I was really confused with the last paragraphs of the ์ฝ๊ธฐ part and you can see I got them all wrong. Besides this, the highlights in yellow are the ones I was between two answers and precisely the one I chose was the wrong one and the other was the right one, so that got me close to get 154 points if I chose the other one haha. Anyway, I still need to practice with more mock exams and that one is in 15 days, so I can see if this score wasn't out of luck, although that's what I thought in the last one a month ago where I got 127. I still need to practice and study so I can see the next scores around the same to this one or even better.

Today I studied three grammar lessons and I'm so happy because I completely understood them, although I had a bit of confusion with the first one which is ~์— ๋น„ํ•ด์„œ/๋น„ํ•˜๋ฉด ~ใ„ด/์€/๋Š” ํŽธ์ด๋‹ค quite long, huh? And all that can be translated to different meanings but in general it's "compared to/ relatively" and I had lots of fun writing some sample sentences. Then, I continued with the second one which was ๋Œ€์‹ ์—/~๋Š” ๋Œ€์‹ ์— which means "instead of" and in some cases "in return for". The third and last one was ~์ž–์•„์š” which I already learned with my Korean tutor and it's also pretty fun to use because it means "you know, isn't it, you see, come on" plus the verb. I'm about to finish both level 5 and my notebook this week! And that makes me happy.

Today I had my Korean tutoring number 14 and we covered a few grammar points, some simple like ์ค‘ which is kinda the same as ~๊ณ  ์žˆ๋‹ค and more complicated ones like ~๋Š”๋ฐ์š”. And I don't mean complicated because it's hard but because it has multiple uses. After that, I also learned some expressions and had a bit of listening and speaking practice. I also told my ์„ ์ƒ๋‹˜ to focus our future tutorings on the TOPIK exam that I'm supposed to take in November and I'm really nervous thinking that maybe I won't be able to pass level 2.

Today I studied three grammar lessons for level 5. The first one was the word builder ์‹ for food or to eat. The second one was ~(์œผ)๋ ค๋‚˜ ๋ณด๋‹ค to say something similar to "It seems like/I asumme... going to" although if the verb is descriptive then the word changes to ~์ง€๋ ค๋‚˜ ๋ณด๋‹ค and the meaning as well, changing to "I assume... become". It's also important to remember the difference it has with ~(์œผ)ใ„น ๊ฒƒ ๊ฐ™๋‹ค because the last one is stronger or more secured about the supposition. The third one was to say Not A but B which between nouns it's used ๋ง๊ณ  and for verbs ~์ง€ ๋ง๊ณ .

Today I did half of the third week for Korean vocabulary with the keywords ์ง€์ž‘, ๋Š๋ฆฌ๋‹ค, ์š”๋ฆฌ and yesterday I did ๋น ๋ฅด๋‹ค, along with their sample sentences. I love that I don't need to translate the whole sentences anymore, although sometimes I write one or two because their translation is confusing. But in general, I write just a few unknown words in blue and verbs and grammar points in red, plus I underlined in yellow the sentences I find more useful in my daily conversation.
