MAY 2020 (part1/2) - Dreamland KIDS 🤪

We started the implementation of Dreamland Kids.

Intention: Test new education models. Create a place for kids from all cultures to grow, physically, emotionally with nature and with the community

After engaging with the community and with the people that are passionate about working with kids, we all met together to implement the first action: one month of experiences.

APRIL 2020 - Back in town 🚴‍♀

Back in town for local co-creation projects. Focus on communication tools and money-raising. Meetings with:

community leaders to better understand the reality of Puerto Viejo, listen to the needs, and the stories.

Tirza from the indigenous tribe called Bri-Bri.

Armando from the Afro Caribbean community.

We definitely want to use our gifts to co-create with whoever wants. It’s why we are creating:

MARCH 2020 - Live at SEED* + covid-19 🦠

Regarding the actual world situation with the Covid-19, we decided to focus 100% of our energy on the development of the Dreamland Campus in co-creation with “SEED eco-village”, an off-grid solution to living sustainably. We started renovating a learning center, working on the garden to plant food, having meaningful conversations together, and for sure celebrate 🎉.

The beginning of a beautiful co-creation process! 🙌

Intention: To transform the existent structure to be able to host people to create experiences and start learning about sustainable living.

Dreamland Days experiences.

Intention: Organize events in town to share with the local community the gifts of our artist’s friends that come visit us. We are coordinating some events to share what we discovered on our Dreamland journey.

It was really challenging with the global world situation.

We learned a lot about community life and the importance to define with each other our:

FEB 2020 - trip to Guatemala & Sport retreat organized 👟

Trip to San Marcos de la laguna in Guatemala - Hub of community and alternative models development. Intention: Meetings with artists and leaders to communicate and engage with like-minded individuals and projects.

Sport retreat organized Event organized by 2 members of the team with the support of others. Intention: Share our lifestyle in connection with nature. 8 female athletes were present during one full week of activities: jungle expedition, training on jungle/beach, yoga, gong bath meditation, etc.

NOV 2019 - 🇨🇷 - Opening of the basecamp 🤙

Starting our Co-living MVP expérimentation

The intention: Live, learn, create, and celebrate together. A first “non-official” co-living model in town. A basecamp of co-creation at Miraflores for the core team and visitors that want to experience and discover Dreamland:

4 months in total.

5 residents - The core team.

10 - 12 visitors average/month.

Test of Sociocracy & Holocracy as a model of governance and decision making.

Plenty of mistakes and learnings about community living, conflict resolution, etc.

SEP 2019 - 🇨🇭: We are spartans 💪

Our goal with Dreamland Campus is to create synergies. Bridge different universes to reproduce the same diversity that we can find in nature 🌿 This time, we were in the athlete's circle from Spartan through Miguel Labranche's journey with the Spartan Nomad family in Switzerland 🇨🇭

We also magically met in a Spartan Race our third mentor Claudio Alessi, visited him in Switzerland and discovered his work with his association “No difference”.

We also worked all together thanks to our local partner WE WORK in Paris on the sponsorship proposal and media content strategy.

AUG 2019 - 🇫🇷: Share the “Dreamland Experience” 🤗

When we left Costa Rica in the summer 2019, we decided to go back to our roots in France with the intention to share what we experienced during our travels ❤️ Experience a simple life based on trust, vulnerability, joy, and hugs too.

This is the reason why we are doing Dreamland Campus. To connect people from 3 to 80 years old and showing that we are all the same. We all deeply need to reconnect and feel a sense of belonging! This is how we will co-create a new way of living together ✨🚀

This first gathering was very special to us. Sharing it to the most important people around us, the ones that saw us grow and always supported us since the beginning.

JULY 2019 🇫🇷: New team members 💓

LUCILLE DESCAZAUX  Living between france and Costa Rica, she was dreaming about applying her passion to an intentional project for a positive future. We quickly realised that we shared the same vision. She became part of the team to create media content to show our story.

MICHAEL HARRIS We worked with Mike 2 years ago in Nicaragua for Carpediem eco-project. His dream is to build a playground where we can learn and experience together. 

After quitting his furniture company in London he went to the Costa Rican jungle 5years ago and became a jungle expedition leader. 

Dreamland was the perfect occasion for him to combine his 2 passions: building tree houses and living in the jungle and have positive impact.

JUNE 2019 🇺🇸: first mentors 🤝

We landed in California 🇺🇸 to experience dance events.

We met our first partner “Cocrea” and our first mentors “Arjuna Adah” and “Carolyne P. Anderson”.

We also discovered a community-driven town with art as the main culture for people to gather and build relationships: the beautiful Nevada City.

We met incredibly talented artists capable of creating a transformative and conscious experience for community building.

MAY 2019 🇨🇷: Where the magic started 😍

Myriem and Miguel arrived to Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica 🇨🇷  and met Thomas and Florent. 

We quickly realized that we had the same vision for the future and that we were all ready to act, to create a new way of living together. A place where we can educate ourselves and our children.

Thomas and Florent opened “Puerto & Co” the first Co-working space and vegan café in Puerto Viejo whitch became our office of co-creation.

Myriem and Miguel just came back from their co-creative community project called CarpeDiem eco-project.

We all decided to team up and write the vision together.

We created a video for a call of co-creation.

We created a quick website to communicate the vision.

We visited SEED*  and realize that it was the perfect place to create the campus and that we shared the vision with them after meeting them all.
