Okay, okay, hear me out… how about a Ripper Street and Succession crossover?

Victorian London: Logan Roy intends to buy The Times of London but his greatest adversary isn't beneath murder to keep that from happening. After an attempt on Logan's life, Connor is tapped to take part in the expansion of his father's newspaper empire. While trying to be everything his father expects, Connor pursues theatre owner Mimi Morton. Edmund Reid and the officers of H Division, including Captain Jackson, investigate the circumstances of Greg's death while trying to protect the remaining Roys from further harm.

This could be the worst or best thing we have ever come up with, but like it or loathe it, myself and @houseocats have completed the first chapter and it is ready to read… enjoy 😉

To kick off the Succession S3 finale weekend, the fourth and final chapter of mine and @houseocats’ Tom and Shiv fanfic is now up!

Tom and Shiv decide to give things a go in a slightly... different... setting. Sweet, maybe even sickly sweet, cheesy cheese-off of things said between them both and perhaps the perfect Tom and Shiv ending every Tomshiv shipper could wish for. Apologies were said, cheese was spread, and love was made - a lot.

There is a ‘beach bed’ involved in this particular chapter, and just to help visually, the photo below is the exact one I walked by in order to inspire this chapter 😂

Proof that Matthew MacFadyen and Keeley Hawes are two of the most beautifully humble people on the planet:

At 23 it would appear I am still unable to turn down a free holiday with my parents… so this story takes place on one of the Canary Islands, Tenerife. We were walking from Costa Adeje to La Caleta, it’s about a 20/30 minute walk once in the centre of Costa Adeje. We started walking up this slope and I happened to look up and this couple was coming towards us… and it immediately registered in my brain that that was Matthew - IT WAS HIS EYES - but I convinced myself that it was just a lookalike 😭🤣 and then I looked to the side of him and there was KEELEY, so we walked passed them and I was like screaming IN MY HEAD and mum and dad were in front of me and I said “MUM THATS MATTHEW MACFADYEN AND KEELEY HAWES!!!” trying to keep it as subtle as possible and mum was like “nah it’s not” and I was like “TRUST ME IT IS PLEASE COME WITH ME” - an ‘I’ll never get this opportunity again’ kind of thing, and mum was like, “nope, not a chance what if it’s not them?!” so dad asked mum what I was talking about and mum told him (BARE IN MIND THEYRE WALKING AWAY AT THIS POINT - Matthew has very long legs and when I tell you he STRIDES) and he said “come on, I’ll come with you” and we started to catch them up and I genuinely couldn’t feel my legs 😭😂 and dad tapped him on the shoulder and said “excuse me mate, have you got the time?” (EVEN THOUGH MY DAD WAS WEARING A WATCH) And Matthew turned around and was like “sure mate it’s…” WHATEVER BLOODY TIME IT WAS, and oh my god just hearing his voice made me want to DIE and I said “you’re literally in the back of my phone, and look who else is” and showed him Jackson (Adam Rothenberg’s character in Ripper Street) and he was laughing like “omg, haha! Look at that!” And that’s when I squeezed his arm while saying “I was literally talking about Ripper Street this morning and watching it on the plane yesterday!” and he was like “What, no way!” grinning from ear to ear 😭 so then I turned to Keeley and said completely out of panic because I was genuinely lost for words “I work with a pharmacist who’s fiancé worked with you on Finding Alice” and she said “what’s her name?” So I told her and said “you posted a photo of her on Instagram” and she immediately remembered “Oh my god, yes!!! I loved her, she was so lovely!” 😭 and I said “would you mind if I had a photo?” And Matthew hardly even hesitated and said “Absolutely, yes, of course!” In his stupidly handsome voice and wide grin about his face, and I said to Keeley “you can both be in it, you’re both as well loved as each other!!!” And Keeley took my phone instead and said “Aw, but it’ll be nice with just you two and the palm trees in the background!” and Matthew saw the photos of him in the back of my phone and was like “oh wow look at that, I’m there!” 🤣😭 then after the photo, I turned to him and just blurted out “you’re SO tall…” to which he just let out this hearty chuckle (and I died there and then in that very moment, this is now a ghost speaking) and then I thanked them both and we both walked away…

I’ve met so many people thanks to my love of Matthew and am in awe of the talent both he and his beautiful wife have, so this really was the definition of “right place, right time”! What a stunning, humble couple 🥰

To say that Reid and Mimi have become ✨close✨ after the end of season 5 would be a little bit of an understatement, and with the help of two more incredible illustrations, chapter one shows Reid once more failing to sleep because of his past regrets. Trying to blow away his broken sleep with a cigarette, he instead unintentionally wakes Mimi who was sleeping beside him, and she certainly gives him a reason to be exhausted in the end… 🤭🤫
