Settlers and Teenagers
We’re pros at settling.
Whether they be our grade or our relationships or our classes, settling with what we have is a skill only few can master and teenagers, supposedly talentless in other streams (ahem...looking at the articles that continuously blame us for their problems), settling seems to be what drinking wine out of a bottle is for Kris Jenner — a talent.
Taking a test and realize that you might just fail and you’re actually (sort of) okay with it? Settling. Tired of studying and accepting that you might be barely get over a C? Settling. Looking at your transcript and realizing community college isn’t all that bad? Settling.
Didn’t I tell you? We’re practically pros at this.
