Something Within You (Part 1)
A/N: First of I seriously want to apologize. I’ve been gone for so long and I feel terrible about it. In fact, I have so many ideas and so many things I actually really really want to write and it frustrates me that I haven’t written any of them. If you are somehow reading this, I want to thank you; honestly. Thanks for sticking around even if I suck at keeping up my schedule. Really, thank you. I appreciate you, so much.
Word Count: 2542 Words Warnings: Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think there’s nothing.
Summary: Laszlo is scared of many things but on the top of that list is getting too attached. Not because of the actual attachment but, the fear of losing what you’ve grown attached to.
“But, you have to try!”
“Why? What would be the point?” A young man questioned the small winged humanoid on the desk next to him. His long hair faded from a dark color to an intense blue while his eyes were tinted in differents tones of hazel and green.
“What?” A woman with short light brown hair and dark skin spoke up to the male as he walked around the simple living space. “What is she talking about, Laszlo?”
“A ‘prophecy’, Essie,” Laszlo made quotations with his fingers as he rolled his eyes smoothly “apparently, someone or something has been created. It’s said that it gives the person in possession the ability to teleport through locations and through alternative dimensions. Somehow, someone managed to find a list of the places where it or they show up and, mysteriously, everyone everywhere has their own copy of the list. Now, everyone is looking for that and Forsythia wants me to join in on the treasure hunt.”
“So, is this potentially dangerous?” Essie asks, her eyebrows rising at finding that Laszlo wasn’t looking at either her or Forsythia in the eyes as he spoke.
“No, not really. It might be the most dangerous object in the universe but, an object can’t use itself. I guess it could be dangerous depending on who manages to find it. But, otherwise…”
“Laszlo! You’re not seeing it completely! You’re certain that what they’re all looking for is an object. What if it’s a living being? What if someone takes a living, breathing, aware individual against their will for the promised ability? The prophecy does say it could be something or someone.” The tiny winged female allowed her eyes to look between both friends. “Don’t you agree, Essie?”
“How could it be someone though?” The brunette spoke up again. “How could someone grant a power if they’re in ‘possession?’”
“Just try will you?” Forsythia turned to look at the silent male in worry. He was never silent and the fact that he was worried both girls immensely. “Please. What bad could it do? Even if someone tried to get in your way, you could do it.” He remained quiet for a moment, his eyes still not leaving the carpet floor of the living room until he managed to respond.
“Fine. I‘ll enjoy a challenge, I guess. Let’s find that list now. Come along, Essie.” His mood and attitude completely changed in a few seconds. He rushed out of the room in a smooth manner. The two remaining individuals in the room looked at each other in confusion and worry, before Essie attempted to catch up with Laszlo.
The female walked through the dimly lit corridor, a slightly opened door catching her attention as she walked passed. She placed her hand delicately on the wooden surface, pushing it opened softly only to find her friend sitting by his desk, his hand in his long hair. His computer screen lightened the room slightly as she quietly walked towards him and gently placed her hand on his shoulder.
“Hey,” she whispered gently “are you alright?”
“Yes, just thinking, is all,” he answered, sitting up straight and placing his hands on the keyboard “we should get started on this, now. I managed to find the list. It wasn’t too hard, to be fair. It seems to be everywhere.”
“So, where are we going?”
“Well, they’re three locations, apparently. There’s a lot of activity in the second location. I’m guessing they’ll be heading to the third one after, due to psychology so, to avoid all that: let’s go to the first location.”
“But, haven’t they checked that place?”
“Yes! But you never know how well they actually checked!” He jumped up from his seat, running through the hall and down the stairs. “Come along, Essie! To The Comet!” Essie runs down the steps too, being greeted by the familiar messy basement and the medium sized, strangely-shaped vehicle inside it. The metal ship had a door on one of the sides which was only accessible by walking up a metal staircase. Laszlo was standing on top of said staircase as he took a key out of his coat pocket and inserting it inside the keyhole before swiftly opening the door, allowing Essie to go inside before him.
The cream colored walls contrasted the light gray metal mechanical machines that held intense blue lights and painted spots. A bright rock shaped, blue light sat further into the room. The light changed between different shades of blue every so often. Different staircases and other areas were lined with orange rails. The whole place was brightly lit and dotted with decorations. Random levers and buttons were placed on different desks and walls, while most were on a rounded desk where Laszlo was standing. He flicks and clicks different controls until a car-like steering wheel and a chair appeared from the floor and desk. Laszlo sat on the chair and pressed the button on the centre of the steering wheel after yelling in excitement. The floor shakes bellow Essie’s feet as she held the railing closer to her, her hair falling in front of her eyes. A few moments later, the shaking came to a gentle stop and Laszlo stood up from his seated position.
“We’ve made it! We’re here!” Laszlo screamed. “Let’s go!” He quickly made it to the door, opening it in a split second. Essie stood next to him to catch a glimpse of the outside. Her attention is immediately taken by the quantity of blue colored rocks and stones around the different bright green hills. The sky is lined with clouds that were tinted with a pastel purple color. The sun shines through them and shines lightly on the reflecting river starting by a castle-like structure. The building looked pretty old with huge cracks that could be noticed even from so far away.
“So, where should we look?” The female asks, looking around at the earth-like landscape. “I mean if it’s an object it could be anywhere but, if it’s a living being, they’ll probably be inside that house, right?”
“Yes! Of course!”
“Then, where will we start? We don’t know what we’re looking for?”
“Well, we’re hoping for non-living, object so, let’s rule out the other option, shall we?” His words were so cheery and excited but his hands were stuck by his sides as his eyes remained unfocused and foggy. His expression was neutral but he fought to make a smile grow by his lips. All of this was, of course, noticed by Essie so, as they walked to the structure, she brought up his strange behavior.
“Why are you acting so strangely and cold towards this whole prophecy thing?” She question as she walked by his side. Laszlo still almost motion and expressionless beside her.
“What do you mean?” He began, acting like nothing was wrong, that fake smile by his mouth again. “I’m fine!”
“You’re not. You never act like this.” This time he didn’t answer, his lips sinking into a frown. Essie continued speaking. “I’m not asking to bother you. Nor am I doing it to prove myself correct or embarrass you. I’m asking because I’m truly worried. You’re never like this and seeing you acting so differently scares me since, I don’t know how I should act. Who knows how you’ll respond to different actions while you’re like this. I can’t read your mind, so, the least I can do is ask.”
His silence didn’t last long after that, his voice cracking slightly as he spoke again. “You’re right. Of course, you’re right. I’m sorry,” a hesitant chuckle left from his throat as his walk came to a stop “it’s just, I’m not extremely comfortable with this, I guess. Of course I had noticed the ‘someone’ possibility, I just, I-I… I wasn’t comfortable with the idea, I guess. I didn’t want to think of the possibility of someone being trapped because of an ability they got that they didn’t even want. So, I didn’t want to think about it because… I don’t know. The thought scares me.”
“It scares you?” She wondered, whispering mostly to herself. “What?” Laszlo questioned back, his eyebrows rising. “What’s confusing about this?”
Her lips joined in a straight line while her eyes looked at him with focus. “I just, I thought nothing scared you.”
“Oh…” he hesitated for a moment “then, there’s where you’re wrong: I’m scared of many things.” His hazel eyed stare lingered for only a moment. Laszlo struggled to create a new sentence as he coughed unnaturally. “Let’s just go.” He resumed his walking towards the architectural structure in the distance. The rest of the walk was shared in mostly silence as the cracks on the wall got clearer and clearer as they got closer to the slanted wooden door. Essie stood next to Laszlo as he pushed opened the door, being extremely careful since he was trying to make the smallest amount of noise possible.
The old wallpaper inside the house was cracking and coming off the wooden walls and the space between the wooden planks forming the walls made it able for light to reach the inside. The floor was covered in small rocks and pebbles that were covered in the thick dirt that formed with long years of abandonment. Dust swam through the small area, accumulating in certain small spots of the room. The two friends walked slowly, carefully placing their boots on the messy ground with every step.
“It looks abandoned.” Essie observed while running her hand on the dusty walls. “I don’t think there’s anything here.” The multi colored haired male hummed in response and thought, his neat eyebrows rising.
“I’d agree,” he began, his eyes focusing on one spot in the gloomy room “if it wasn’t for that bed sheet.” He pointed towards one of corners, where a white sheet was hanging from the wall, covering some of the wall. The fabric was still a little dirty but it couldn’t compare to the amount of dirt and dust elsewhere. “It’s way cleaner than the rest of the place meaning that it’s been here for less; someone placed it there.”
He slowly walked towards the loosely hung fabric, lifting it up partially to find a hole in the wall. He finished lifting the sheet, completely revealing the tunnel-like space. “I think my fears are coming true.” The male whispered into the air before feeling his friend’s comforting hand on his shoulder.
“Are you alright? Are you ready?” She whispered while she moved her hand to give him a slight squeeze by his side.
“Yes, yes, I’m ready.” They both ducked down towards the hole, carefully squeezing through. Dust filled their vision, mixing with the strangely longer tunnel’s darkness. Laszlo was in front of Essie so, he reached the end first. He stood up slowly, his mouth slightly opened and his hazel eyes wide as a strange surprised feeling flooding him.
A bright room was where the pair now stood. The walls were still wooden but way cleaner than the room where they were before. A small mattress laid on the floor with a pale blue blanket and white pillow but, that wasn’t what surprised the adventurers. A small figure sat upon the mattress, fiddling with their hands. Long, messy, light brown hair flowed down the individual’s back. A torn apart, white and loose dress covered their body comfortably. Their hands and face were covered in a thin layer of dirt.
The figure turned as the sound of steps scared them. Laszlo stared intensely as the person turned and was met with bright blue and green eyes. The two just stared at each other for a while. The figure was in fact a young girl; no older than six years old. Her skin was pale due to her presumably poor condition but, it seemed to have a natural neutral tan color. Her figure was unhealthily skinny and beneath her bright ocean-like eyes were dark spots creating curves.
Laszlo looked at the girl like he was almost reading her mind. He had expression that seemed like he knew everything, without either of them speaking a word. Even if this case was impossible, he too felt like her eyes were telling him everything with just a look. Meanwhile, she looked at the male with a feeling that could only be described as curiosity; but it wasn’t that either. She hadn’t seen anyone since she had appeared near that tiny wooden house and his strangely colored hair and mixed hazel eyes had caught her attention for the first time. She had found something she didn’t understand and she wanted to learn.
“Hello,” his words were soft, barely above a whisper. He lifted his hand slightly giving the child a gentle wave. Her eyebrows raised a bit before she tried to mimic the new expression with a childish wonder that the two friends couldn’t help but sadly smile at. “We’re here to help you, alright?”
He offered his hand to her, careful as to not make any moves that could potentially scare the young one. She looked at his palm for a while as if unsure of what to do before finally placing her hand on top of his. A gentle smile rose upon her lips as her hand felt his warm fingers. Her visible hand veins began glowing a gentle mint-like color that faded to a sweet baby blue. At the sight of this, Laszlo couldn’t help the sharp inhale he took. Luckily, the girl didn’t seem to notice this, instead, she slowly rose to her feet, walking towards the male slowly. She stopped once she was standing next to him, by his side. The boy let his arm circle her into a strange hug, he kept his body loose so she could pull away at any point but this just ended with her coming closer.
“Do you have a name?” He asked, trying to hide a soft smile that threatened to grow. The smaller individual shook her head as to say ‘no’ and just like that his smile was gone. “I see… Well, we should head back. Can’t risk anyone finding us.”
After a quick rush towards The Comet, the young girl laid on one of the comfier seats of the ship as the two friends got ready to head back. Laszlo found himself distracted by the nameless girl. His muscles lost their tension as his hazels landed on her once again. His hands trembled a small bit while a sticky sweat covered them slightly, his eyebrows sinking down towards his smiling eyes. He shook his head for a moment,
“You know you’ve grown attached to her.” Essie giggled, a smile graced her features as she took note of his softer eyes and tiny grin.
“No I haven’t,” he moved his head as if to remove his thoughts “I just… feel bad.”
“Yes, that too,” she agreed “but, even if you’re too proud to admit it, you have a connection with her.”
“I met her ten minutes ago. We can’t have ‘connection.’” He argued with his usual finger quotations, rolling his eyes too. But deep within his mind he knew she had a point. And that mere thought, terrified him.

The Man That Fell in Love with The Moon
A/N: Hello! Hope you’re having a wonderful day! I’m feeling quite inspired myself so I’m doing quite a bit of writing today!
Word Count: 2445 Words Warnings: Not going to lie, the bit were the main character talks to the moon is slightly scary and it makes him seem a bit crazy. So, yeah, that.
Summary: Tim Green has always loved the moon but, who would’ve thought the moon felt exactly the same for him.
Since he was a young boy, Tim Green had looked up at the night sky in wonder. Something about the dark hues mixing and the small stars peeking from within the seemingly endless abyss made him feel curious and excited. Every day, as the sun began to set, he would sit by the largest window and scan the sky as it darkened, slowly. His eyes reflected the stars glow as his hand pressed against the glass, slightly feeling the night’s chill through the surface. Though, he found the sky beautiful, there was one thing that captured his gaze like nothing else: the moon. He found that as soon as his eyes found the round moon, he couldn’t move his eyes away. Every night he would find something new about the moon: how its light shone on his face softly, how clear it could look on some nights, how nicely the clouds passed by it…
Of course, Tim continued to grow up but, his adoration of the night never left him. Through his last years as a child, through his teenage years, all the way to his adulthood. He now lived by himself with a healthy job and the sharing company of his brand new cat. Still, he looked through his window at night, quickly finding the moon hiding as a beacon in the darkness. Tim sometimes found that he would murmur under his breath as his eyes remained perfectly still and opened. He never seemed to recall the short phrases he would whisper into the peaceful night, though.
Soon, he found that his adoration had grown to something more but, he didn’t really know what. He was smart enough to not question anyone about the matter as he wondered silently through the day. During one of those wondering days, he remembered a conversation he had with his parents long ago. He remembered how he commenced the conversation at quite a young age after a strange exchange with a girl at his studies.
“Mommy, daddy, can I ask you something?”
“Of course, Tim,” his mother looked down at him, a soft look within her eyes, before kneeling beside him “you can ask anything.”
“What’s bothering our Timmy?” His dad kneeled too, running his hands through Tim’s hair quickly, making both males laugh for a short moment.
“A girl came up to me today,” he begun, a little uncertain as he spoke “she told me she had a ‘crush’ on me. I didn’t know what that meant. I didn’t know what to do. The bell rang before I got to say anything and when I turned to look at her she was gone!”
“Well, it seems like that girl in your class likes you,” his mother explained “meaning, she’d like being with you romantically.”
“What?” Asked Tim, still confused. “Like you and dad? Do you too like each other?”
“No, I love your mother.” The father answered, a small smile forming in his lips.
“What’s the difference?”
“You could say love is more intense.” Begun his father,
“Yes, when you love someone it means you can see yourself them, no matter what happens. It means that you would stick around with them through their best and worst moments; helping them through however you can. And, if they love you as you love them, they’d help you with anything and everything too.” Finished the mother.
“But, I don’t feel that way about anyone,” said Tim, sadness in his voice “especially not Sally.”
Both his parents laughed quietly before his mother spoke again. “That’s alright, dear. She’s just not the one for you and, frankly, you're still quite young so, falling in love can wait. But, someday, you’ll find them, and your life will change completely when you do.”
Tim recalled the conversation and his brain began to connect different events together, like it was solving a complicated puzzle. He felt like he had cracked the code. He knew what his adoration had turned into: it was love!
To him, all the pieces were there. He couldn’t imagine his life without the moon’s presence. The moon’s pure glow had pulled him through the toughest and saddest days so, the moon had already done plenty for him. He had turned down better flats than his own because his view of the moon would be altered by the other flats’ windows. He had stopped referring to moon as ‘it’ a long time ago, the moon being a feeling companion to him for years. To him, it was clear: he was in love with the moon.
That night he felt even more excited to find the moon and to whisper to her how wonderful she made him feel. And that’s exactly what he did. He sat by the window, as every night before, his eyes finding who he adored the most, a love sick grin on his face. His lips parted slowly, words struggling to come out as a new found nervousness sat by his chest, making his body feel tense. Finally, he managed to force words out his throat.
“You always seem to be here for me. Your mere presence makes me feel better; no matter how terrible my day could have been. I feel like you’ve done everything you can for me and I can only hope I can offer the same to you. Oh, my moon, I can’t say anything to open myself up to you. You feel so close yet I know you’re really so far. I hope one day we can find each other face to face so, I could run my fingers through your silver locks as my father once did with my own hairs.”
Tim’s one sided conversation trailed along deep into the night, until he felt tired and decided to, finally, go to bed. His eyes fluttered closed with a peaceful smile on his lips. Little did he know, that the moon looked down at him, returning his every word in silence. Since the moon couldn’t speak to him as she wished, she decided to give him a gift.
The following morning, Tim woke up with a strange feeling. This feeling made his muscles feel strangely relaxed, as if a non existent weight had been removed. He strangely felt at the perfect temperature despite falling asleep to a freezing room. All of this was new and bizarre to Tim but, when he truly felt like he had gone insane is when he looked down to his feet and saw something that completely changed him.
Around his slippered feet, blue arrows flew around. The arrows pointed downwards and he soon noticed that all the objects around his room had the same arrows pointing downwards. He noticed how some of the arrows seemed thicker around some objects, especially the ones that were larger and locked heavier.
He went around his day, trying to find the meaning to all the lines. He quickly deduced that they were showing the gravity around every object and living thing. They also didn’t bother him too much, since they were almost completely transparent. Tim actually began to like it, strangely. He somehow felt superhuman, being able to physically see a natural phenomenon.
That night he, also, talked with his moon. Explaining to her the strange new experiences he had felt and seen throughout the day. He wondered to her if all he had experienced was her doing and, not only did he thank her if it was the case, but, he also asked her why. Of course, he didn’t expect to get an answer so, soon enough, he laid upon his bed like every night before and closed his eyes as sleep took over him.
The next morning there was a new gift for Tim from the moon. He again discovered it rather unexpectedly. He looked at his hand finding that the tips of his fingers had change. His skin tone had disappeared at the tips of his fingers, being replaced by a sparkly tone of silver. He noticed that tingling sensation where the color had changed as he moved his fingers. That night he, also, asked the moon if this was her doing and, again, he got no answer. As he expected.
For the third night in a row, the moon looked at Tim, gently, and spoke to him, even if he wouldn’t be able to listen. Suddenly, she had an idea for a new gift. So, she decided to gift him again but, this gift would, hopefully, benefit them both.
The next morning was anything but peaceful for Tim. He was awoken by a strange sound within his head that seemed to circle him. As he looked around his still darkened room looking for sound’s origin, a voice rang around his brain.
“Do not panic.” The voice clearly belonged to a female. Her pronunciation was slow and clear, her tone of voice sophisticated, charming and peaceful. It seemed like the voice was made out of the richest honey. Her words were released in a way that could make anyone feel secure and safe. A voice that could easily send someone to a peaceful sleep. Yet, Tim didn’t know this voice so, his body screamed at him to panic.
“Wh-What? Wh-Who are y-you? Wh-Where a-are you?”
“I’m very far away, for now. I’m only communicating with you. Only you can hear me. You can think your phrases, alright? No need to speak aloud. I can hear your thoughts.”
“H-How are y-you d-doing that? Who are you?”
“One would think you’d recognize the voice of the one you love but, then again, it’s the first time we speak.” Then the voice laughed. The voice laughed a laugh that could be the definition of charming and sweetness. It was the type of laugh that made you immediately smile as you heard it. The type of laugh that you wanted to hear again and again until it was implanted into your memory. The type of laugh that made your stomach flutter with love sick butterflies.
The laugh had caught Tim’s attention so much that it took him a while to bring meaning into her words. When he did though, his eyes widened in surprise as realization crashed into him.
“Wait. A-Are you… ?” The voice in his own head had trailed out, making him unable to finish his question. Luckily, the voice understood him.
“Yes. I am. It’s a pleasure to finally speak to you, Tim.”
“Well, you have a wonderful voice, my moon.”
“As do you, my light.” She giggled gleefully.
“Will we be able to actually see each other? One day?”
“I’m working on it,” the moon answered “I want nothing more, my love, but, I’ve found it to be quite challenging to do so. I’ve had to make you a little bit more like me to make it easier. I do apologize if it has cost you inconveniences.”
“This was you? Like the gravity lines? My fingertips? All of it was you?”
“Yes…”
“Why would you apologize for something so wonderful, my moon? I should be thanking you!”
Their conversation continued through the day as they laughed at each other’s stories. Tim had never felt happier and he was almost a hundred percent certain that he was in love with her. He wanted to be certain, though. He wanted to know that he was perfect for her and that she was perfect for him. He wanted to feel that perfection between them.
And the moon wanted exactly that too.
That night, she wanted to surprise him so, as he got ready for bed, she tried her hardest to make both their dreams come true. And that’s exactly what she did.
After he finished brushing his teeth, he sat by his window looking for the moon only, to not find her. He desperately asked for her inside his head, panicking as the seconds ticked by. Not long had passed and he was already missing her presence.
“Where are you?” He whispered aloud, a tone of sadness coating his voice. His eyes closed in sorrow.
“Right here, my love.” A familiar voice answered. Tim quickly noticed how the origin of the voice wasn’t within his head but, he noticed how the voice echoed around the room like, she was behind him…
He turned around, a hope bubbling inside his chest. His eyes landed on the most beautiful being he had ever laid eyes upon. Her skin was the same glittering silver that had formed by his fingertips. Her hair was dark, long and perfectly curled. It framed her figure in the best way possible. A white long gown laid on her shining skin with matching jewelry around her wrists and neck. Her eyes seemed to sparkle like a million stars lived within them.
They stepped towards each other, smiling brightly. As they stood face to face, Tim brought his hand up to touch her hair. He had never felt anything so silky and smooth between her fingertips and his smile widened at seeing her own grow as his fingers explored her long curls as well as her eyes fluttering peacefully. Her eyes opened once again a few moments later, her face nearing his own before pulling pack and turning around, her back to him.
“No, I can’t. You’ll be forced to be like me. I couldn’t force that upon you. I can’t.”
“Yes, you can. I want you to. I need you to. It’s the only way.” He placed his hands at her arms, gently turning her around. Her hands wrapped around his neck slowly as her eyes settled on his. Her face neared his, hesitantly, before he took matters into his own hands. He quickly placed his lips on top of hers, feeling her smooth lips on his made him smile into the kiss. Then, he knew. He knew he was truly in love with her and that nothing could take him away from her. His moon.
He pulled away slowly, opening his eyes to find her looking at him with a sad smile. His lips were now like hers; sparkly and silver and soon his skin began changing to match her own.
“It’s started,” she said, a tear hanging from her eye “I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright. I promise, it’s alright.”
They both banished in a flash, only to reappear somewhere else; high above the ground. Tim looked around him, only to find stars and his love beside him. He reached his hand towards her own and she took it, interlocking their fingers.
Meanwhile, the rest of the world looked up in wonder and confusion at the second moon that had appeared in the sky, right next to the other one.

Merry Christmas 🎄
Hello! Merry Christmas, I hope you have a great day today! Go spend some time with those who you love if you have the chance. And, if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I still hope you have a wonderful day and for you to enjoy the last month of 2018.
A few things:
Thank you so, so much for all your support and I can’t believe they’re 50 of you here! That is absolutely amazing! I’m extremely grateful for everything and this is an absolute dream come true.
Also, I’m sorry for being so absent for so long; I feel like I’ve been repeating myself a lot recently and I feel terrible for making you wait. I had a lot of people visiting for the last couple of days and, I couldn’t find the time to do anything. So, to help with this, during the rest of my break I’m going to write and update the blog on days that may not be on schedule too. Basically, to post a bit more! I know I don’t explain myself very well but, I hope you understand it and like it as I begin doing it.
Thank you, once again. I appreciate every single one of you and I wouldn’t trade any of this for anything. Have a wonderful rest of your holiday season!

Word Count: 1679 Words Warnings: I think there’s nothing :)
Summary: The ocean and space are two different worlds but, what happens when they find each other.
It had been four months since the pair had their parting. For about half of those months, Rivalyn sat by the shore with hope of Celeste showing up but, she lacked luck. One day, Ford sat by her side before pulling her away from her longing looks and falling tears; back into the ocean. He helped her get in better terms with her family, to get more friends, to visit new places, to do more enjoyable activities… But, as much as he tried, she remained distant and introverted. Still though, she was calm and kind with everyone; she couldn’t seem to lose that. Until one day, where, in her opinion, Ford tried too hard.
“What are we doing today Ford?” She asked with her now usual serious tone and her seemingly colorless eyes.
“Well, I thought we could go meet a friend of mine,” he desperately tried to brighten up the conversation using his voice and expressions “you haven’t met him but, in my personal opinion, you two are perfect for each other.”
Rivalyn’s blues grew in panic at that, her steady swimming pace coming to a stop. “You’re not trying to set me up on a date, are you? Because, I’m not interested in dating anyone; not yet, at least.”
“No,” he hesitated for a moment “no, just for a little chat is all.”
“Alright then…”
A few moments later a man of about Rivalyn’s age came into view. He had short, neatly cut, chestnut hair to match his rich honey colored skin. His eyes were nearing a gray color but, they showed nothing but brightness and excitement as they took a glance at the nearing female. His fin was painted in the most intense green with beautiful, swirling, blue details coming upwards to his hip.
He swiftly moved beside her, taking a hold of her hand and placing a quick kiss near her knuckles. “You must be Rivalyn; it’s a true pleasure to meet you. Ford here told me we could be perfect for each other and, I’m excited to see if his theory was right.”
“Alright! No! I’m Done!” Rivalyn swam upwards, towards a rock above the water.
“No, Riv!” Ford exclaimed, chasing after her. “Come back!”
His hair flowed in the wind as his head exited the ocean, finding Rivalyn sitting on the rock. Ford took a seat beside her, taking in the uncomfortable silence between them; that had never happened before. They would always be talking, whether it be about something serious or simply funny banter: they would always be talking. Yet, there was silence.
“I told you,” she begun after a while, her voice cracking as it sounded absolutely broken “I told you I wasn’t interested in dating anyone.”
“You see, there’s where you’re wrong,” Ford answered “you don’t want to date anyone but her.” She muttered below her breath, to herself, as he continued. “Understand, I’m only trying to help you. Honestly.”
“How is this helping Ford?” Her scream seemed to echo around them while loose tears fell. “What is this doing? Helping me move on? Because I can’t! I simply can’t! Everyday, I close my eyes for just a moment and she comes to mind! I feel like part of her spirit is haunting me and it won’t stop! What can you possibly do to get rid of-.”
“-Rivalyn?”
A girl with long brunette hair sat on a small jet ski. Her upper torso was covered with a brightly colored lifevest as her hands gripped the vehicle tightly. Her strange eyes were widened as they stared in awe at the blonde on the rock.
That wasn’t Ford and Rivalyn knew it.
“Celeste?”
“I’ll leave you two to talk.” Ford jumped back into the ocean in a second, hoping with everything within him that they could fix whatever had happened months ago by themselves.
“H-How? I-I-I don’t u-understand,” the blonde stuttered, still not sure if anything was real “y-you came back.”
“Yes,” Celeste answered with a small smile threatening to form, as she made her way off the jet ski and sat beside her old friend “I guess I have.”
“Why?” After the question was released into the air, Rivalyn wondered why she had asked it. Did she really want to know? That’s what the blonde girl was asking herself. In a way, she did. She wanted to know what brought Celeste back. On the other hand though, she didn’t want to be disappointed and she knew that she would be disappointed.
“I-I-I-.” Celeste stuttered as she fought to find words. Meanwhile, a strange happiness found itself inside Rivalyn and she fought the smile that desperately wanted to show up on her lips. “I don’t know.” The smile left leaving no trace behind on Rivalyn’s face.
“I don’t know,” the brunette started again “I’ve been fighting with myself for a while, I guess. I wanted to come back. So much so that I felt like something, anything, was pulling me towards the blue again. Call it what you will: an unknown desire, the swirling blues of the water, memories of my time here or, um, or…” she bit her lip in pure nervousness as she avoided the crystal blue stare that belonged to Rivalyn.
“Or?” The blonde encouraged, a slice of hope still within her.
“Or,” insecurity flew with her words while she struggled to continue, like she knew what she wanted to say but, for many reason inside her mind, she couldn’t “or maybe, it was just you…”
“Me?” Rivalyn’s eyes widened and the question flew as soon as Celeste finished speaking.
“Yes, you. But, I understand if you don’t like that; I shouldn’t have said that in the first place. I’m sorry, I should’ve kno-.”
“Celeste!” she exclaimed, catching the space girl’s attention “It’s alright! I’m completely alright with it. Calm down, it’s alright. In fact, I couldn’t be happier, ‘Este!”
“What?” Rivalyn took Celeste’s hands into hers, feeling her warm, smooth skin in her fingers. The blonde’s thumb moved across her hand as the thumb traveled up and met the other female’s nails. Rivalyn’s other hand reached up to the brunette locks, pulling the wet hair behind Celeste’s ear before caressing her skin till she reached her chin. She placed two fingers underneath her chin, nearing her neck slightly, before pulling upwards lightly, meeting Celeste’s galaxy gaze with her blues.
“I mean it! Do you know how long I’ve been wanting to hear you say something like that? I’m sure you don’t, ‘Este! I’ve been waiting because I was scared. Scared to change, scared to do this,” Rivalyn’s hand found a spot, covering Celeste’s cheek as her eyes fluttered closed, peacefully “but, I was so scared that instead I made it worse and we fought. I couldn’t forgive myself so, I spent months sitting on a rock hoping you’d come back. And now, I’m even more scared, simply because you did come back, simply because you might have come back for me but, the reason doesn’t matter because you did come back and here you are! But, I’m scared. So very scared. Scared to change, scared to do this and extremely scared to tell you. To really tell you. To look into your stargazing eyes and hold your hand as I tell you that I love you. That I have for a very long time.”
“Rivalyn, I don’t know what to say,” Celeste tilted her head towards the warm hand on her cheek, a smile tugging at her lips “I mean, what can I say to that?”
“You don’t have to say anything.” Celeste opened her eyes to be met with the smallest and kindest smile on Rivalyn’s face and suddenly, the individual with a tail seemed closer to the space female. So close that the brunette could feel the warmth radiating from her and Rivalyn’s long breaths hitting her face with the tiniest wind. Before Celeste knew it, she was stuttering through her next sentence.
“B-But I-I feel l-like I should say s-something,” her breathing picked up slightly as her eyes watched the other female’s orbs closing “I th-think I might l-l-love you t-too.” As soon as the words left her mouth, Celeste wanted to slap herself. She thought that was the dumbest thing she could’ve said. But, she was proven wrong when she felt Rivalyn’s face near her own even more. Celeste found herself stuttering random words into the air as her breath shivered out and her eyes nervously fluttered close, mimicking the blonde’s actions. Soon Rivalyn picked up the pace before Celeste stopped herself and their lips met sweetly. The girl from the water was met by the sound of gasp as their lips found each other. Rivalyn’s hand left Celeste’s cheek and placed itself on her long chocolate brown hair while the hand by Celeste’s moved the space girl’s arm around her waist. Rivalyn soon found Celeste pulling her closer with her moved arm while the blonde swore she could feel and hear her whimpering lightly, her chest moving sharply. A while later, they pulled away with a sharp breath.
“Riv, I,” Celeste begun, feeling a heavy weight on the pit of her stomach “you know this will never work; I wish it could.”
“‘Este we’d figure it out! It’s what we both want, isn’t it?”
“Yes, but, how would it work? It can’t. It… can’t.” Celeste stood up, immediately missing the warmth as she did, before jumping on her jet ski.
“Celeste! You can’t just go like this didn’t happen; I can’t lose you again!”
“You won’t,” she reassured “I’ll come back; I always do.” She winked smoothly at her, making the girl smile then, she sped off. But, neither of them felt sad. They both knew and they both agree: one couldn’t force the other to leave their world. But, it was alright, because they will always find each other. They knew they would always see each other again. They were attracted to one another, like a magnet to metal. I guess it really is true: opposites attract. They both knew that too.

Opposites Attract (Part 3)
A/N: Hi! How are you? I hope you’re good! This is not the last part of this one; I simply couldn’t end it like this. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!
Part 1: https://magicallibary.tumblr.com/post/179991392031/opposites-attract-part-1
Part 2: https://magicallibary.tumblr.com/post/180372015287/opposites-attract-part-2
Word Count: 1326 Words Warnings: fighting and shouting
Summary: The ocean and space are two different worlds but, what happens when they find each other.
The months passed peacefully, Celeste and Rivalyn were spending every second with each other either talking, swimming, Rivalyn showing Celeste the ocean… Celeste had never felt so free in her whole life. As soon as her blue tail grew and she hoped into the similarly colored waves, she had wanted to see every corner of the ocean; every secret it hid and every magnificent sight it had to offer. Rivalyn, once she heard of this, wanted to make this come true so, she took the brunette everywhere. Rivalyn would watch happily as her friends eyes would fill with a pure excitement, her lips separating only a bit, leaving her mouth opened in surprise. Once, Rivalyn even saw her cry from pure happiness.
They were both sitting on a large and tall rock, Rivalyn sat behind her friend so her hands could cover Celeste eyes.
“Ready?” The blonde asked quietly.
“Yes!” Exclaimed the other in a whisper. “Of course I’m ready!”
Rivalyn removed her hands slowly as the galaxy eyes fluttered opened carefully before they fully opened and widened. A gasp formed in her throat while she struggled to create a sentence. Within her view she could see so many different underwater plants as their colors mixed together and contrasted the intense blue making the extending background. Clouds of different fishes would swim pass, some quicker than others, some bigger than others. Farther away, were a few ruins of ancient structures as well as a large sunken boat. A beam of sun from above shone through the water surface, lighting up a slice of the seemingly perfect view and darkening everything else perfectly.
The sight had left her speechless and, before she knew it, tears were slowly forming by the corner of her eyes. Bright and shining white tears poured out of her eyes, making it seem like she was crying stars. Rivalyn raised her thumb to dry her cheek, the bright liquid lightening up her finger for just a second before her skin absorbed it, just like normal water.
“Sorry.” Celeste sniffled, brushing her tears off.
“No, don’t apologize,” she rested her head on the brunette’s shoulder “it’s alright.”
Everything for about a year felt perfect. Rivalyn was doing what she loved to do; making people happy. It made her even happier when Celeste was the one smiling because of her actions. While, Celeste was finally putting behind what had haunted her for years. Yes. Everything was perfect.
Until, it wasn’t perfect anymore.
One morning, Rivalyn woke up excited as usual. She was planning to take Celeste to one of the biggest shopping markets that was held near the biggest reef park. She got ready quickly, running to Celeste’s home. Rivalyn allowed herself in, shaking her friend awake in excitement only to be shocked at what she saw. Her friend allowed her eyes to flutter towards awakeness but, Rivalyn was met with deep chocolate irises instead of Celeste’s fully filled pits of purple that were lined with the brightest stars.
“Wh-What h-happened t-t-to your eyes?” Rivalyn stuttered, scared.
“What do you mean, dear?” Asked Celeste, like nothing was wrong. Then she took a look at Rivalyn’s pale and worried tinted expression and face. Her hands were shaky as they slowly reached towards Celeste. “You’re looking awfully pale, love. Are you alright?”
“L-L-Love?” She repeated, confusion and worry hiding any excitement she had before. “Wh-Why are y-you calling me that? W-We aren’t together…”
“Of course we are! We’ve been together for fifteen years! Are you sure you’re alright? Should I take you to a doctor?”
That’s when Rivalyn noticed her appearance. Blue scales were forming by her cheeks; those weren’t there before. Her blue tail had grown in color intensity, seeming more real and similar to a real one. Her hair was perfectly smooth and straight, combed on one of her shoulders, even if she had just been sleeping. Her skin was perfectly smooth and she no longer smelled of salty water.
Rivalyn knew what she had to do.
“Forgive me for this…” Rivalyn held her tight, her arms around her torso, as Celeste trashed around, screaming for her to be let go. The blonde wouldn’t budge, though. She swam as fast as she could, dashing through crowds, pushing if she needed to.  Then, she saw it in the distance. A small, homely looking hut, home for one of Rivalyn’s closest friend: Ford. The adult man was studious and yet funny, he spent most of his life studying different medical topics that no other doctor or scientist under the sea dared to touch. Rivalyn dived through the door, luckily finding him alone.
“Ford! I’ve got a problem!”
“As I can see,” he commented standing up from his comfy chair “what’s happened to your foreign friend?”
“Look at her eyes!” He carefully took hold of her chin, pulling her head up gently.
“Weren’t they purple before? She didn’t have irises before…”
“She’s woken up like this,” Rivalyn’s tone was fast, clearly worried “and, she’s saying we’ve been romantically together for fifteen years!”
“Huh? And I thought you would’ve liked that.” He whispered below his breath as she shot him a look.
He continued to examine the girl after she made her drink a liquid that made her fall asleep. Hums and whispers would be released into the air, while Rivalyn waited and watched anxiously. He noted things down on his clipboard before he looked directly into Rivalyn’s blues, nervousness now in his greens.
“We must take her to the shore at once and you must remove all the magic you placed inside her! That’ll turn her to be like before and she’ll remember everything”
“Everything?”
“Yes!” He exclaimed. “She’s forgetting everything from her past and her brain is making up a past for her. If we don’t hurry she’ll completely forget everything from her past as well as who she was. She’ll be stuck like this forever…”
“Then we better get going!”
They both grabbed her quickly before swimming upwards as fast as they could. The three crashed on the shore’s sand. Rivalyn pulled her away from the crashing waves only for her to wake up, as the blonde’s lips were nearing hers.
“Hey, love, you know how I don’t like long kisses.” She laughed nervously.
“Don’t listen to her,” whispered Ford “her brain is making excuses for you not to take the magic away.”
Rivalyn nodded sharply, her lips in a straight line.
“Rivalyn. Don’t.” Celeste’s expression was strick, almost angry. Her eyebrows furrowed downwards. Tears flooded her eyes and began purring out. But, they weren’t her tears, they were clear not shiny.
“This isn’t you, Celeste,” Rivalyn whispered to her “I’m sorry.”
Rivalyn pulled her towards her, their lips meeting quickly. Celeste trashed around, trying to pull away as her tears began to slowly turn back to her usual ones. Her tail began to banish and her eyes turn back to their original color. After a few seconds, Rivalyn pulled away slowly, pushing the rest of the magic liquid down her throat.
“Why?” Her eyes shone brighter with her star-like tears.
“I had to, it was for you.”
“No! Don’t say that!” Celeste screamed. “Leave me alone!”
She stood up and began walking away. “Celeste!” Was what could be heard, seemingly echoing as Rivalyn called after her best friend. “You can’t do this!”
“Why can’t I? You did that without my opinion and I know you won’t turn me back! I would’ve been happier like that! It would’ve been better!”
“It wouldn’t have been!” Rivalyn shouted, now angry herself while Ford tried to stop both of them.
“Fine! If you don’t want to help me then I’ll find someone who wants to!”
“Fine! Go!”
“I will!” Then, she ran away. That’s when Rivalyn noticed what she had done. Ford wrapped her arms around her.
“What have I done Ford?” She whispered as tears began to flow down her cheeks. She buried her head by his neck.

Opposites Attract (Part 2)
A/N: Hello! I’m back! As I said on my last post, I was doing various exams and couldn’t find the time to write anything but, finally that’s over and I can get back to posting! So, thank you for your patience and, honestly, I’m happy to be back as I am happy with this part 2, which I hope you enjoy! Have a great rest of your day!
Part 1: https://magicallibary.tumblr.com/post/179991392031/opposites-attract-part-1
Word Count: 1084 Words Warnings: Character death, asteroids
Summary: The ocean and space are two different worlds but, what happens when they find each other.
“Are you sure?”
Weeks passed, maybe even months passed, and the pair kept meeting up atop the same rock. The two would talk for hours at a time, watching the sun set behind the crashing waves of the ocean below their seating spot. Celeste and Rivalyn’s conversations varied everyday but, they found the best topic to be learning the other’s life and world.
The constantly twinkling stars within Celeste’s eyes seemed to shine brighter when she heard the blonde talk about her bottomless and fantastic world. In fact, Rivalyn began to notice how her new friend’s intense and attentive stare would travel away from Rivalyn herself and would settle on the hues of blue that mixed themselves in the salty water.
Of course since Rivalyn told her about the sea, the blonde wanted to know about the brunette’s foreign home. This, though, was harder than it should’ve been. The female with space origins would rarely give specific details about where she came from. The usual glow in her eyes would get away as she allowed her long, usually soggy, brown strands fall in front of her eyes. Her stare would vanish while her eyes settled on the rock’s rough and uneven surface, her small hands resting on her lap, playing with her clothes’ material. Her voice would lower the slightest bit and her sentences would shorted, her answers becoming simple yes' and no's.
“Why shouldn’t I be sure?”
As the days passed, Rivalyn became more and more aware of her friend’s clear uncomfortableness with the topic of her home world. She searched within her head for an explanation for that feeling and, only found one: something bad happened. Something terrible.
So, she asked Celeste about it.
It took awhile, but, she did open up about it. She opened up about that week. She opened up about the worst week in the story of her world; her worst week. She opened up about Eos. She opened up about how she could’ve stopped it; how it was her fault.
The citizens of Cuatania never asked for Celeste’s help; well, almost never.
They all clearly knew how intelligent she was, how helping she was and how caring she was. So, they would use that against her.
As soon as something terrible could be seen on the horizon, the would walk up to her, eyes teary and begs being released from their throats as they asked for her help. She would accept, practically unable to say no even if she knew their tears were a lie, and would fix the problem in record time.
This is how it went. A problem would appear, the people would beg for Celeste’s help, she would help and the problem would be fixed. Everyone followed the mold.
Everyone but one person; Eos.
Eos was a young boy, around six earth years old. His midnight blue hair partially covered his similarly colored and kind irises. He loved spending his free time with Celeste, he found her more interesting than his family or similarly aged boys. Even while the girl silently read, Eos would sit by her and find something enjoyable to do. Sometimes, if he was lucky, she would read outloud to him.
He never asked her to fix anything, even with his age, he believed everyone could fix their own problems. Because of this, he wouldn’t fake desperation to get her helping hand, he almost didn’t ask for anything really big anyway, except once.
The planet was freaking out once again. An asteroid storm, bigger than any other was nearing the surface and the chance of stopping said storm seemed extremely unlikely. So, of course, everyone called for Celeste. She had stopped asteroids before, why couldn’t she stopped this storm?
Celeste tried everything that had worked for one or a few asteroids as well as, trying new methods she thought would work. Her thought process and nonstop working went on for about a week but the asteroids kept coming closer and closer to the planet.
“Will you be able to stop the asteroids?” Eos’ voice interrupted her buzzing thoughts.
“I’ve never lied to you, ‘Os,’ and I won’t start doing it now,” she stopped for a second, a short sigh escaping from between her lips during that time “I’m not sure. I’m not even sure how confident I am anymore and, honestly, I’m worried. What’ll happen if I don’t stop this? It’ll all be my fault.”
“It won’t be your fault,” he begun, walking up closer to her and gently hugging her “instead of just asking for your help, they could’ve helped you and maybe we would’ve already stopped the asteroids,” her arms slowly came around his smaller figure as she kneeled down in front of the boy “plus, for what it’s worth, I believe in you.”
“Thank you…” That was the last thing she said as she buried her nose deep within his hair.
The days kept passing and the end of the week soon arrived. As the minutes counted down for the strom’s arrival, Celeste stood outside with her telescope and various other objects as Eos stayed by her side no matter how many times she told him to go home. Her last chance to stop the storm was arriving and she tried her best to stay positive despite her desperate heartbeat. Her hands sweated slightly but remained firm and steady, panic flooded her system but her face remained calm. Until, the time finally arrived.
Her plan begun as the smallest asteroids that formed the upcoming storm began to crash through the planet’s atmosphere. She flicked her levers and pushed her buttons, dashing around as she, every so often, checked the view through her telescope. As the rocks began to get closer and closer and as some began to crash on the surface, creating destructive craters on the world’s otherwise perfect landscape, a protective, artificial layer surrounded the planet, acting as another atmosphere. The asteroids would hit the layer and bounce back to outer space. Only the rocks that had already crossed the atmosphere would be able to crash. So, they did.
The last few crashed around the place, here and there. Randomly. While Eos ran around with a wide smile on his face, the asteroids kept coming…
“Eos!” A scream barely registered in his brain. “Look out!”
“Wh-.”
Nightmares had hunted Celeste for months. She swore his spirit was chasing her since she could see him every so often. His voice would appear in her head, sometimes saying phrases he had never said, blaming her and screaming at her… She couldn’t get rid of the visions or the nightmares. They haunted her everyday.
So, she finally decided to chase her biggest dream: to go to the planet she had discovered.
“I just want to be sure this is what you want.”
Rivalyn was absolutely shocked at hearing her story. She also realized that she could never begin to imagine the pain she had gone through. Celeste, at opening up, was more honest on her desire to forget about that story, about that pain, about her old self, about her old home. She had gone to Earth for that; to forget. But, it hadn’t worked.
All of this made Rivalyn’s brain to start turning as she remembered one of her many abilities.
You see, her species has many abilities but, one in particular stood out to Rivalyn after hearing about her friend’s past: her ability to turn other beings into her own species. She had the power to change an individual’s DNA only enough so that their legs turn into a fin and for scales grow on certain parts of their skin. So, she brought it up.
She was honestly surprised to see how willing Celeste was to leave everything she knew behind and that made her uncertain. Rivalyn grew so uncertain that she didn’t want to do it anymore but, she had to change her mind when the brunette was practically begging her to turn her.
“This is what I want! I’m absolutely sure of it! Think about it, Riv! I could be just like you, we could swim around your wonderful world. We could talk everyday! I won’t need to find the time because you’ll be right there! Imagine… We could be happy. You could be happy. I could be happy. I could forget what I’ve been wanting to forget for so long. Who knows? It could help you a lot too! I’m sure it could help both of us! Don’t you think?”
“Celeste,” she begun “I do, I truly do. I too have a lot I would love to forget; that you could help me forget. Don’t get me wrong, I would absolutely adore to have you live with me in my world, I mean, we would see each other every minute! The only thing holding me back is: aren’t you trying to forget too much about yourself? I know your past is full of pain but, without that past, you wouldn’t be here. With me. On this rock, talking. Opening up. You can’t forget that. Not all of it.”
“I won’t,” she reassured “I promise. I won’t!”
“Alright,” Rivalyn exclaimed after a short pause “I guess it’s alright then. As long as you’re sure.”
“I am!” No hesitation could be heard in her slightly trembling voice.
“Alright, don’t ask questions, will you?”
Rivalyn raised her hands as she cupped her cheeks, her bright blues eyes met her space ones, their stares lingering longer than they probably should’ve. Words tried to be formed but none were able to so, the eyes had to communicate what couldn’t be worded. Within Celeste’s eyes an unspoken confusion could be clearly found while Rivalyn tried to communicate to her that she shouldn’t ask questions. Then, suddenly, Rivalyn’s hands pulled the other girl close quickly until their lips crashed. The space girl’s eyes opened wide in shock before settling down and closing with a fluttered. The blonde used her lips to open her friend’s as the magical substance formed in Rivalyn’s throat and were poured into Celeste’s system. Afterwards, they pulled apart slowly, heavy breaths filling the air.
Celeste’s eyes opened as her eyes moved down with shyness only to find a sky blue fin replacing her legs. Her lips parted as an inhale was taken sharply.
“Woah…” she whispered in a extremely soft tone, almost inaudible.
“Yes,” Rivalyn answered, smiling unconsciously at the special eyed girl “it’s done.”
“Can I…?”
“Yes!”
“Yes!” Celeste exclaimed as she dived into the pool of blue below her, flipping her new tail along with the waves. She was quickly being followed by the girl in the red tail. “This is amazing, Riv!”
“You haven’t seen anything yet, ‘Este!”
What they didn’t know at the time is that this was the worst decision they could’ve made.

Opposites Attract (Part 1)
A/N: Hello! I’m going to say this now: I’m sorry if this week’s stories come out late or don’t come out at all. I’m starting exams this week and I’m getting very busy, though I’m trying to work in advance both on stories and studying but, we’ll see how it goes! Also, sorry if you don’t like stories in parts but, right now, it’s easier for me to do them in parts. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this first part (despite being only an introduction to this story) and have a great rest of your day!
Word Count: 1783 Words Warnings: Nothing :D
Summary: The ocean and space are two different worlds but, what happens when they find each other.
You know the saying ‘opposites attract?’ Well, I bet there isn’t a better example of that being true than this tale. You see, the universe is strange and the Earth is strange.
If you really think about it, you could see humans as a middle ground. Humans live between two worlds, making humans the middle. With a deep, unknown ocean below and a dark, unknown galaxy above. Perhaps, a human being won’t see their kind as the middle but, the beings above and below them will see it like that and would be fascinated by that.
Before we begin this tale, you need to know about these two unknown worlds.
Let’s start with the ocean, shall we?
The deep blue, what most believe to be just that: a deep blue, empty pool of water only filled with marine plants and various sea animals. But, to see what’s really there, you need to look closer and deeper. Humanoid creatures call this place home. You’ve probably heard of these creatures under the name ‘mermaids’ in some pirate or children story. You see, males and females born without legs, the limbs being replaced with colorful fish-like tails. Different colored gills grow by their cheeks giving them the ability to breath underwater as well as talk underwater. Their hair and skin never gets wet, always looking dry and perfect. But, don’t think these creatures can only stay underwater with their fins. No, if they so wish, they can swim towards the nearest shore and as their skin feels the sand, the large tail would banish being replaced by legs and fashionable clothes. And, when they were done on the shore, as their legs felt the salty water, they would banish, welcoming the half-fish trait back. Most of these underwater humanoids, didn’t exit the ocean though. It almost felt like an unwritten law; no one from the deep sea would be welcomed into the soil and sand and no one from the soil and land would be welcomed into the community of the deep sea. Similarly to humans, they had their markets, their restaurants, their houses… So, really, there was no real reason to leave the ocean when everything was the same, if not better, to what was waiting for them on the shore. All of them thought this, well, all of them but one.
Meet Rivalyn. She came from a prestigious family and, of course, her family would disagree with her aspirations related to the soiled land but, being supportive, they never stopped her from chasing what she wanted. A lot of the civilians had found themselves slowly falling for her with her sparkling green eyes that always shone with curiosity. Her long blonde strands were perfectly curled, framing her pale face gently. Her red gills extended in swirls along her cheeks matching both her bright lips and tail that faded from red to white. Sadly for those townsfolk, she wasn’t interested in anyone nor anything the ocean handed her, on the other hand, she was interested in the world above her. She would seat on rocks that came above the water and stare at all the possibilities in front of her but, at the end of the day, she was too scared to step into the shore and walk around in legs. So, there’s where she stayed: watching and imagining.
Now, that you know of the sea, it’s time to look at the other side of the spectrum; what there’s above.
The emptiness of space is again another speculation that is simply incorrect. More planets and worlds to count are found among stars and meteors. An example of these millions upon millions of planets is the world of Cuatania. Known for its wonderful sky, Cuatania is surrounded by the Strion Nebula; a large thin and twisten line-shaped nebula filled with bright stars coloring Cuatania’s naturally black sky with the brightest tones of blue, purple and pink. The grass was colored a dark purple and special flowers grew around the planet’s surface. These flowers would glow different colors when nightime arrived, blinking their brightness and working as the world’s street lights. Truly an amazing sight for any visitor but, for the locals, this was the normal sight. Of course, they had other amazing things: their incredible advances in technology were due to the general high intelligence of the planet’s inhabitants. Similarly to human beings, the humanoids that live in this planet mostly believe that they’re the only living being in their part of the universe, so, they never found a reason to leave, despite their natural ability to teleport. Yet, similarly to the ocean’s population, one individual thought differently to everyone else.
Celeste was known for being highly excitable despite the usually calm townsfolk. She was a huge bookworm, her orbs were always scanning a written page. Then, she was quickly off, running around, her dark hair threatening to fall from its messy bun position. On one of these busy, nonstop days she made a telescope; not a normal telescope, though. This telescope had more than fifty different lenses within its structure, making any image bigger and easier to see. With her new machine, she found something she wouldn’t forget: she had found the Earth. Upon her discovery, she spent the following days trying to explain to everyone around her. Her tan-skin hands would wave around as words flowed quickly from between lips. Sadly, no one supported her ideas, some would even call it ridiculous. The lack of confidence in her, pushed her back making have second thoughts on teleporting to the new world she had found. So, her dark purple eyes would look up at the nebula-filled sky, imagining what would happen if she could go further from it. Until, one day, she did just that.
She swallowed her fears and looked up before closing her eyes as she focused on her banishing body while she teleported away. When her orbs finally opened, she found herself standing in a busy sidewalk. The sun shone on her skin and her eyes seemed brighter while she began walking around the streets. Weeks began to pass but, Celeste couldn’t find a reason to leave the wonderful new planet she had found. As the months flown by, she had found a job, bought a flat, tried a variety of foods and found her own strange clothing style. And soon, she realized she had spent a year there and, she couldn’t find it in her to feel even slightly sorry. Little did she know, she was going to be the reason the world from below and the world from above would find each other.
The summer season was soon slowly making its way back and Celeste had heard her fellow coworkers talk about the ‘beach.’ So, she did some research, finding a beach nearby from where she lived and decided to go there on one of her days off work. Since this was quite a small beach and the warm weather was only started, she was the only one resting her feet on the sand. Yet, still, she was amazed by the sight. The pale sand moved slightly with the soft breeze as waves crashed on the shore, leaving trails of seashells on the soggy surface. The salty smell of the sea drifted through the air while the shining sun made the water shiny as well as a turquoise color. Rocks came out of the water contrasting the tones of blue that formed the ocean. But, then, something caught her attention.
On one of the rocks, the silhouette of a human could be seen. Questions began flooding Celeste’s mind as she decided what she would due. After a few minutes of standing thoughtfully, she decided she would swim towards the figure. Sure, this wasn't the brightest idea but, she couldn’t scream at them and she wasn’t going to leave them there; she couldn't do that. Fully clothed, only with removed boots and socks, she felt her feet make contact with the chilly water but, she pressed on despite never swimming before. She swirled her arms and legs around, trying to stay afloat which worked for a while but, as she got closer to her destination, the water felt colder, numbing her limbs and tiredness soon began taking over her. Right as she reached the rock, she felt her body give in to the fatigue and felt herself begin to sink. She trashed around, hearing the sound of her own splashes, not knowing it had caught someone’s attention. As she sunk further, suddenly, she felt something caress her exposed arm. A warm and smooth surface rubbed along her arm, getting a grip and trying to pull her up but, the object wasn’t able to. Then, she heard a splash coming from behind her as she felt herself losing consciousness. The next thing she felt was two arms wrapping around her middle and pulling her above the water and to the rock. Celeste’s desperate coughs filled the silent atmosphere of the beach, her eyes locking shut as she regained control over her breathing.
When she opened her eyes, she was met with the brightest pair of blue eyes she had ever seen.
“Hello,” said the owner of the bright eyes, shyly “wha-?” Rivalyn’s words were cut off when she spotted the dark purple eyes of the individual she rescued. The blonde swore she could see the night sky’s stars shining within her eyes. She followed her orbs to find her observing her red fin.
“I’m sorry if this is rude, miss,” began the stranger with galaxy eyes “but, is this normal on this planet? I just, I had never seen anyone like you, miss.”
Rivalyn laughed quietly at her stuttering kindness and curiosity before answering. “It’s not very normal, you could say. But, I’m guessing you’re not from around here then?”
“What gave me away?” Celeste laughed, her inicial nerves calming down.
“Firstly, your eyes then, you asked about how normal humans with fins were on ‘this planet,’” she made quotations with her fingers as she laughed along with Celeste “so, if you’re not from here, where are you from?”
“Well, that’s a long story…” Celeste released a sigh as she pulled her brown, soggy hair behind her ears. She noticed the other girl laying down on the rock with a smile tugging at her lips.
“Well,” she smiled fully “I have all day.”
Celeste thought for a second before laying beside her and turning her head to catch her eyes. “Then, I have all day too.”
“Rivalyn,” she introduced “and you are?”
“Celeste. Pleasure to meet you.”
“Trust me, the pleasure’s all mine.” They both laughed along.
And that’s how it began.

Room 124 (Part 2)
A/N: Hello! This part 2 has finally arrived; it’s quite overdue but, here it is! I hope you like it!
Word Count: 1457 Words  Warning: Just sounds at night and a disappearance.
Summary: Nobody has lived in room 124 since someone disappeared, until now.
I arrived to her door at exactly 8 at night. I had prepared a small bag with my things and a few board games and such for some entertainment. Honestly, I was quite excited for the hours ahead of me especially because I had never done anything similar with anyone in the building and I thought I could actually become good friends with her. I was so focused on those excited thoughts that I found myself completely forgetting about the strange noises; the reason I was actually going to be there.
She opened the door, a gentle smile rose on her lips when her bright eyes settled on me. She had a thin white sweater that went slightly over her hands and the traces of a black t-shirt could be spotted. A dark red skirt reached a few centimeters above her knee and black stockings covered her legs while black, flat shoes were found on her feet. She was clearly dressed for the slightly more chilly weather. Her blonde hair was pushed behind her ears. I noticed how her strands were slightly longer than when she first arrived at the building.
I stepped inside her small home with a smile of my own. Small greetings were being shared as we walked to her living room. She turned her small television that hung from the sky blue feature wall, that contrasted the pale walls that surrounded the rest of the room. A cream couch sat at the centre of the room and other, smaller seating spots surrounded the largest piece of furniture. Throw pillows colored in different shades of blue were found atop the several furniture around the room. A white coffee table was something else I could see. Magazines and a few unlit candles covered the table’s probably cold surface. A couple framed pictures decorated the otherwise plane walls. The pictures varied from images of her, people who I presumed were friends or family members and different landscapes.
She moved towards the largest sitting spot and patted the spot next to her with her hand once she sat down. I agreed to her wordless offer and sat down next to her. She soon began speaking.
“I’m probably going to say this a lot tonight, but,” she started “thank you for coming. I’m glad you actually came. I guess it makes me feel a lot safer.”
That’s when I remembered why I had agreed to come in the first place. Memories flooded my mind quickly. Conversations and images came to me all at once and, at this, my mouth parted a small bit, a tiny distance forming between my lips.
“Oh,” I sighed, trying to hide my sudden realisation “the noi-.”
“Please,” a pout found its way into her face as she began pleading “don’t mention that. We should have fun tonight, us two, you know,” she took hold of hands with care, like they would suddenly break “instead of fussing over my paranoia.”
“If you say so…” I was sure she could hear the unsurement in my shivering voice, yet, a smile grew on her face.
The hours went by quickly; some minutes almost seem nonexistent, it was going that fast. I had never found myself talking so freely to anyone before, but, there I was. A while into our conversation, she left for a moment and came back in more comfortable clothes; I soon followed her, changing too. Soon, as our conversation continued, the clock struck twelve.
“I was having such a great time I hadn’t noticed the time passing.” She said, like she had read my mind. She stood up and dimmed the lights making the room a bit darker than it was before.
“How did it go past so quickly?” I asked as we walked to her kitchen. I sat on a stool as she opened a cupboard.
“Don’t know,” she laughed “tell you what? We should watch a movie!” Her hand grabbed a packet of microwavable popcorn and she dashed across the kitchen to prepare it.
“Sure!” I swore I could see one of the bulbs flickering off for a fraction of a second but, I brushed it off. That was an idiot move on my part. Well, I say that now, thinking about it now; I wasn’t thinking correctly then. Friends had never been my thing. Friends should’ve never been my thing.
Once our salty snack was ready, we made our short way back to the comfort of the living room. We kicked back as we searched for a movie to watch.
During the movie, I suddenly felt a sense of tiredness pulling me. Tiny weights seemed to be attached to my eyelids as I struggled to focus on the actually interesting and fun movie. It was all so strange. I wasn’t even the tiniest bit tired a few minutes before, yet, there I was, struggling to keep myself awake. I’m not sure how it happened (it took me days to remember I had done this) but, I leaned my tired and heavy-feeling head on her shoulder. As my eyes began slowly closing shut, the lights suddenly turned all the way on, making my eyes squint as we both jumped in surprise. The lightbulbs kept getting brighter until their protective glass broke and the shards rained onto us.
As darkness covered the room, I felt goosebumps appear on my arms as the room suddenly felt cold. I notice the same tiny bumps appear on her skin. At least I wasn’t going insane; the room was indeed colder. An unsettling silence surrounded everything around us and I noticed the feeling of tiredness completely exit my body.
“I think I’ll go look for the flashlight that’s in my bedroom.” She stood up and, as she did, all the doors that left to other spots in the home closed, suddenly. She ran towards one of the doors and struggled to open it, being unable to. I stood up and we shared worried looks between us as a sound that I could only describe as scratching surrounded us. It started quite low down but, the noise got louder and louder until, it suddenly disappeared, leaving no trace that it even existed. Then an idea popped into my head. A stupid one but, an idea nonetheless. Plus, I didn’t think it was stupid at the time.
I looked at her apologetically as I mumble a fairly audible “I’m sorry.”
I rushed to the table that leaned against the feature wall and grabbed the first television system I found which happened to be a video game console. I picked it up and threw it at one of the wooden doors with all the strength I had in me.
Stupid, stupid idea.
As the console made contact with the door, a loud scream filled my ears. It took me a moment to find out where said scream was coming from, but, the familiar voice confirmed it.
It was her. She was the one screaming.
I turned to find her kneeling on the ground, her hands tugged on her blonde strands in what I could say was pain. I tried talking to her, rushing to her side. I attempted to pull her out of the helpless state yet, nothing seemed to work. Her screaming just went on and on and on and on… Until, she fainted. The loud sound ceased all at once, the silence finding its way back to me. Her body laid sprayed on the ground yet, she was still breathing, thankfully. I struggle to move her towards the couch but, I managed. I laid her on the couch and placed a soft blanket on top of her.
I passed through the crack on the door I had made and left the flat quickly yet quietly. As soon as I arrived home, I laid on my bed and immediately fell asleep, somehow. I’ll never understand how I was this stupid that night.
The next morning, I woke up thinking the whole event as a dream. Sadly, I soon found it wasn’t. I’d like to emphasize ‘Sadly.’
I didn’t see her for the whole day, but, no one else seemed to notice her mysterious absence. I found out why that was later in the evening when we were all hanging out, almost everyone in the building chatting. I asked a few of the residents I knew about her and I was surprised.
“Who?”
“I think you’re asking the wrong people, darling.”
“I don’t know anyone named like that.”
“Did you ask something about who?”
Everyone forgot her.
“No,”
Everyone stopped talking about her.
“ you’re right,”
Just like the boy before her.
“I don’t know why I asked that,”
They forgot.
“sorry…”
But, I can’t forgot. I’ll never forget.

Reflections and Secrets
A/N: Hello! Hope you all had a great halloween and if you don’t celebrate it, I hope your week is going awesome too! Also, part 2 of Room 124 is coming I’m just having some troubles with it but, for now, I wrote this!  Hope you enjoy it!
Word Count: 1617 Words Warning: I think there’s nothing :D
Summary: What happens when Avi’s observant skills help him find out that his friend is hiding something huge?
There are two types of people in the world. The ones who desperately try to hide their darkest truths and the ones who have been blessed with the ability to see through their slick lies of fear. Avi and Reo are clear examples of the two types of people. Reo is a clear type one; He doesn’t speak much and doesn’t keep eye contact with anyone for a significantly long time. Hiding something. Unluckily for his, Avi, his new ‘friend,’ was a perfect example of the second type; his eyes always scanned for a person’s body language and way of speech. His observant skills are what made him able to find out that Reo was hiding something. The darkness of the night spilled into the quiet room through the window. A small bed sat against the cream-colored wall and right in front of the furniture piece was a makeshift bed Avi was making with a spare mattress. As he finished his creation he made jazz hands towards it when he finished. Reo stifled his giggles at his friend’s silliness. The pair were having a sleepover of sorts and, after a fun evening, it was finally time to get ready for the night ahead. Of course, instead of going straight to bed, they talked and laughed together, but Avi couldn’t get rid of this worrying feeling forming in the pit of his stomach. He thought Reo was feeling uncomfortable. It started with his playing with his thumbs, then He started looking around the room when He thought he wasn’t looking. Soon after, He started losing eye contact more than usual and shyly playing with his short, bright blonde curls. At first Avi thought He didn’t want to be there but his exited remarks said otherwise, so he concluded that He must’ve been hiding something. When the conversation took a small break, the male took the opportunity to ask the individual opposite him about his strange behavior. His features completely shifted from his usual smile to his lips in a straight line and his eyes serious. “Why don’t you want to tell me?” He suddenly asked The boy looked shocked at his question. His eyes widened and his lips parted before speaking. “Tell you what?”
“The thing you’re hiding.” “I’m not hiding anything.” He said really quickly, his fingers moving around on his lap. “But you are. You’re looking around the room, fidgeting with your thumbs and you aren’t keeping eye contact with me for more than two seconds, there is something you’re hiding.” “That’s not true!” He exclaimed. “And now you’re getting defensive.” He sighed loudly, a mixture of annoyance and aggravation getting released along with his breath. “Fine. There might be something I’m not telling you. So what? You have known me, for how long? A few weeks?” This was the loudest Avi had heard his talk and it still wasn’t that loud. As He said the last words of his outburst his voice went back to his usual whisper, his eyes avoiding his stare that slowly softened down. “I guess.” Avi said, thinking “I just thought it had to be something big since you were trying desperately to hide it.” The room went silent. Until the boy breathed out once again. His eyes locked shut in a feeling that seemed like concentration, until, suddenly, the lights in the room went out, surprising the other member in the room. He desperately looked around the dark room trying to find out if something was there, as panic began to flood his system. Then some small orange and red sparkles caught the attention of the boy. The strange glow surrounded a pencil that was laying on the floor. All of the sudden, the small pencil started going up in the air, spinning slightly as it did. Then a flame consumed the wooden object, disintegrating it but the rest of the room remained in perfect state. Avi stared at the warm fire floating in the air in awe. He wondered how it was possible. Was he hallucinating? Was the lack of sound driving him mad? His thoughts were cut off when the lights came back on. He noticed that the same glow could be seen coming from the boy’s hand. The ashes of what used to be the pencil quickly dropped while the flames vanished as soon as Reo snapped his fingers loudly and the strange sparkles disappeared. Avi looked at the boy in amazement. “H-How?” The boy stood up and laid down on his mattress, tucking Himself in. He laid down facing the other wall, turning away from the boy. He was clearly ignoring the question. Avi asked again, getting no answer once more and laid on his own bed, assuming Reo was asleep. He fell asleep with many questions in his head that he thought about all night. Well, that is, until his night got disturbed.
He got woken up from his restless sleep by someone slowly shaking them awake. He opened his tired eyes to find Reo looming over him, his eyes fixed on him. They sat down at the edge of his bed, not saying a word. Thick, awkward silence surrounded them, like smoke. Neither of them knew what to say. The digital clock marked 4:23am, it’s electric light shining brightly during the cold night. The only other thing that lit up the room was the soft light of the moon coming through the curtains. After what seemed like days, finally, Reo started talking. “I wish I could give you an answer but, I don’t think I even know how my powers came to be,” He whispered, “ever since I got here it feels like a part of my mind is covered with thick fog. I think that fog is blocking my past thoughts, it makes me feel like I’m crazy. The only thing I know and remember is that this world isn’t my home.” He looked at his, questions filling his head and, for the first time in his life, he was trying to hide his confusion. He sighed. He knew He could never make him understand. Mostly since Reo didn’t understand it himself. He looked towards the closed window, walking towards it. “Follow me.” He said as He carefully opened the window. The boy hesitantly followed his out the window. They walked towards the cliff and the chocolate eyed boy sat down. The magnificent orange sparkles flew between his fingers, lighting up the soft grass as a small, wooden trapdoor formed in front of his. The light disappeared and the male slowly opened the trapdoor, inviting the male in. Inside a small room was found. It had a small table with a few chairs around it and a small bed, covered with a white blanket. Laying on the wall was a tall mirror and beside it a resting broom. Reo slowly walked toward the mirror, Avi following behind. “Seems so normal, right?” The boy begun. “A mere reflection of this world, showing us what others see, showing it all from a different perspective. But what if I told you that it was so much more? That this mirror was much more than just a reflection. That it was a way of seeing the reality, a different reality. My reality. That it could show you a different world. My world.” He grabbed the broom from its place on the wall and held it tightly. “It’s incredible that so many strange and unbelievable things hide under normal-looking façades, probably hiding from the world, and no one ever notices. Like this mirror. Like me.” He gripped the broom even tighter, swinging it at the mirror harshly. Cracks formed around the fragile object and the loud sound of the glass breaking made the spectator flinch, his eyes closing for a second. When he looked again, the reflection was distorted by the cracks. But it wasn’t the only thing. His reflection was different. His hair was a soft pastel orange color, with hints of electric red and dark orange. His eyes had a hint of red in them and his body was shivering slightly. The only thing he could muster out was a soft and surprised gasp. “Not just a reflection anymore.” His words cold as He reached for the broken mirror. As his fingers made contact, the whole thing started shaking like water, his fingers disappearing in its newly formed liquid, as the cracks slowly disappeared by themselves. “My world is here. Inside this mirror. A magical world that lays inside. A different reality. It’s the only thing I can remember. For some reason I feel like there’s something in there that I should be looking for, but I don’t know what or who it is.” He carefully pulled his fingers out of the now fixed mirror. The surface became solid once again as his touch left it. His voice was shaking slightly as He continued speaking. “It makes me feel like a part of me is missing. Like if I found it I would know why I have this magic. Why I look like this naturally, but I don’t know. I don’t know.” Avi gave his a hug, closing his eyes. It saddened him to see his so lost. He slowly wrapped his arms around him, closing his own pair of eyes. His chin was resting atop his head as his hands ran through his short hair. His own hands found a spot in the middle of his back, pulling his warmth closer. After a short pause formed by a simple yet warm hug, He spoke once more. “We can go back now.” They pulled apart, looking into each other’s eyes before nodding at the same time.

Room 124 (Part 1)
A/N: Sorry about my absence and sorry about how short this is. I’ve been having a lot of exams and I’ve been very busy this last week but, I’m trying as hard as I can to get these stories out. Luckily, next week I have a lot of free days so I’ll make sure to do some writing during that time. Thanks for your patience and thank you for sticking around; I really appreciate it :D
Word Count: 1071 Words (sorry :()  Warning: Just sounds at night and a disappearance.
Summary: Nobody has lived in room 124 since someone disappeared, until now.
We were both idiots. We may still be, honestly.
A few weeks ago I would have never said that. In fact, I would have said something along the lines of “she’s an idiot” because, well, she was. What I hadn’t realized is that I was being one too. Everyone in the building was.
Let me explain and, apologize.
She had arrived a couple of weeks ago, I had seen her walk past the building I live in a couple of times, sometimes alone, sometimes with friends. She was definitely foreign; her friends were too. Her shiny heels clicked on the empty streets below the sound of her booming voice, saying words that I couldn’t understand. Her usual dress flowed with the soft wind along with her short blonde hair. Sunglasses sat on her nose at all times, despite the lack of actual sunlight.
There was something strange about her. She did look way too fancy for our small almost run down street but, I don’t think that was what made her strange. To be honest, I still can’t even name what it was about her now, but, something was off.
One day, I left my small apartment to walk around the street for a while. When I arrived to the ground floor, guess who I saw talking to the owner of the building? Yes, her. To make this situation and her a lot weirder, she was talking about renting room 124.
You see, room 124 is not like the other rooms in the building. Since a long time ago, the other residents began telling a story about the room. But, what most newcomers don’t know is that, that story is true. I was already living here when it happened.
A new boy had arrived to the building and he decided to stay in the room. He was only going to stay for a couple of months since he was only doing a project and then he’d be going home. I still remember his almost strange generosity and his overly cheerful smiles. He was different to everyone else who had stepped inside the building.
A few days after he moved in, he claimed to hear strange noises while he tried to close his eyes at night. Everyone brushed his stories off, calling them “paranoia” but, he seemed to describe these sounds a lot. Too much, in fact, that I started to wonder if it was really due to a strong imagination.
Every day, he said the sounds kept getting louder and different. Until one day, a few days before he was set to leave, he didn’t show up all day. His door was never opened, nothing could be heard from inside and, I started to get worried. The next day arrived and a similar thing happened, then the next day, then the next day. The day of his flight arrived and he didn’t come out either. A couple more days past and the owner decided to check inside the room, they asked for a few volunteers and I, of course, signed up. When we went in, we found everything in order, his furniture was perfectly placed, the only real strange thing was the fact that his curtains were closed, leaving the space quite dark. We checked the whole apartment and we couldn’t find a trace of him. After that day we never saw him again.
So, when I heard her talking about living in that room, I immediately felt this strange heavy feeling flow through me as worry sunk into my brain. I tried to tell her after her chat with the owner was over. Despite my warnings she called it “nonsense” and “silly stories.” She even mentioned: “many told me about this when I mentioned moving in, is everyone in this building this paranoid?”
She ended up moving in. You see why I said I thought she was an idiot. This is most of the reason.
The first few days past; nothing happened. I even asked, getting insults from her but, I asked. Weeks past; nothing. A month; zero. I began to think that everything was alright and that nothing would happen to her but, then, exactly 2 and a half months after she moved in, something did happen.
She walked into our common room- where all the members of the building can hang out and talk- with a panic expression on her usually calm features, as she tried to desperately hide her obvious nervousness.
“Um, did you hear that strange scratching last night? It sure was weird, right?” She laughed nervously.
“No, I didn’t hear anything since I arrived from work last night,” claimed a male sitting on a small couch “did I miss something?”
“I don’t think so,” one woman called “I didn’t hear anything either.”
Several similar calls followed and I saw her face flush in nervousness and perhaps shyness as she spoke once again. “I must have imagined it. I never thought myself as a woman with a strong imagination but, I guess, I must’ve been wrong.”
After that, she laughed quietly again and left from where she came in. Everyone carried on with their conversations as my mind began to wonder about the supposed scratching she had heard overnight.
The next day, she had a similar conversation but, with only one person. I overheard a small bit of her small chat with a young man.
“Last night,” she begun “I swore someone was knocking on my door. It was so strange.”
“Woah, that must’ve been scary; I’ve never heard anything like that, especially not here! Hey, if you keep hearing this knocking contact the owner, last year I kept hearing a dripping noise. Turns out an inner pipe was broken, once it was fixed the dripping stopped!”
After the man walked away, I stepped up to her.
“So, I haven’t had a chance to really speak to you for a while, so, how are you?”
“Honestly, I’m starting to believe your stories. Those noises keep me up all night; absolutely terrifying.”
And this is where I made the worst decision in my life.
“Hey, tell you what, we should have a sleepover of sorts at your place. We can spend a nice evening and we can see about these noises. Does that sound good?”
“Sure!” She answered quickly.
“Alright,” I laughed “See you tonight!”
I didn’t know what I was getting into. I wish I had.

A Side Effect of Me
A/N: Hello! Just a thing about this one: it has a lot of dialogue but it’s very sarcastic too. I honestly like to think that Carol is somehow friends with Kara from one of the first stories I wrote. Actually, I’ll leave a link to it! Hope you enjoy this one! Thanks for reading!
Other story (Kara):
https://magicallibary.tumblr.com/post/176799391401/confusingly-different
Word Count: 1403 Words  Warnings: Mentions of murder and mentions of burning down a building
Summary: Murders have been happening and the authorities know who has done it. Sadly, they haven’t been able to capture them so, they have to go to extreme measures.
Her blurry greens opened slowly to see the almost completely dark room she was in. The first thing she noticed was the cold sensation around her wrist identifying the now familiar metal cuffs tying her to the otherwise normal chair she was sitting in. She immediately thought of the fear your usual person would feel in a situation like that, but she wasn’t feeling anything close to that. In fact, she was rather calm about the whole event.
Suddenly, the only form of entryway- a door- opened to reveal the shadowy silhouette of a man. His steps were slow and well paced as he walked over to the room’s light switch, turning on a bright light located at the center of the ceiling. The sitting girl’s eyes squinted at the sudden bright light and she began to speak when the image of the short hair blond caught her stare.
“Mr. Patrick,” she announced as he walked towards her “I thought everyone told me you didn’t like working- or even talking- with me. I had to go through so many “Nick doesn’t like you”’s and plenty of “Nick thinks you’re bad news”’ and, yet, here we are. Fantastic, isn’t it?”
Nick Patrick stared at her with strict brown eyes, frustration lined around his face.
“And that type of look is why I get teased about us being together.” She teased, her short brown framing her face.
“Carol!” He exclaimed, his frustration increasing as he took an intense step forwards “I plan on letting you out when we’re done. Don’t make me change my mind!”
“Alright, alright. I thought you’d be happy to see me.”
“I never am, Miss Carr.” At that comment, the expression on Carol’s face turned from her usual bright smile to thoughtful ones among her features. Soon, her highly entertained smiles and matching bright greens returned.
“So, if I still haven’t grown on you- mind you we’ll figure our relationship out, don’t you worry- then, I’m guessing, something’s happened and I’m your last resort. And, as always, I’m flattered and, yet, not surprised. What does your pretty heart desire Nick?”
A heavy sigh left Nick’s lips as one of his honey hands reached for his tired eyes to rub them in annoyance, before he began to explain his complex dilema. “This is far more serious than you’re taking it-.”
“I do that anyway, love.” She interrupted, a sly smile rising to her cheeks.
“Anyway,” he continued, shaking her comments away “there’s been 3 murders.”
“I feel like I should cry or something? Would it be appropriate if I cried?” She asked, sarcasm lingering somewhere deep in her voice.
“Don’t take this so lightly,” he warned “some still believe you broke into that bank and left the balloons after you stole everything within it.” She began to laugh at the mention of the bank.
“That wasn’t me!” She manage to force out between her amused giggles.
“Nobody believes that when you laugh every time someone mentions it.”
“I just get reminded that I need to find that person. They are absolutely brilliant and I ought to work with them sometime.” His eyes squinted at her answer before his explanation continued once again.
“Nevermind that, at the scenes the murderer always leaves a red rose with splashes of thick black paint. Problem is-.”
“You don’t know who the murderer is. I’m not a detective though, why would you need me?”
“Actually, the problem is we know who the murderer is. We’ve known since the first murder; we haven’t been able to catch him.”
“Oh…” she realized, her smile banishing “I was wrong, I hate being wrong. But, at least, my purpose is revealed. You want me to catch him.”
“Yes.” Mr. Patrick answer briefly.
“So, who’s mystery man? Who do I have to kill?”
“He’s-. Wait. Kill?” His eyes widened “Kill? You’re not killing anyone, Carol!”
“You know how I work, Nick. It’s a side effect to, well, me!”
Phrases of frustration and grunts were whispered under his breath. Carol didn’t fail to notice this and her smile began to grow once more, knowing he’ll agree in the end.
“Fine! Fine, fine, do as you please.” He yelled, finally.
“Kendrick Cornett,” he explained, getting back to the important subject “him and his small gang are the responsible ones for this whole business. We have a couple of files on them and we know they’ll be in the Hoxtown Building in two days at around ten in the morning; when everyone is already working inside.”
“How did you find that out?”
“They threatened us with killing people in the building so we hacked their network to see if they weren’t lying, only to find orders for another group with high quality weapons to meet them at the Hoxtown Building at 9:35am.” Silence came to fall between them and after a few minutes, Nick became nervous. She was never that quiet.
“Why are you so quiet?” His eyebrows rising as he asked.
“I’m thinking about this.”
“I’m not sure if I should feel relieved you’re taking this seriously or scared.”
“Hey! Don’t tempt me! I’ll pull your lungs out, alright?”
“Sorry but, I’ve learned that thinking for you is the most dangerous pastime.” He said, getting a glare from the cuffed girl before silence hung again.
“Alright, I’ve got it.” She finally said “Don’t you worry, Nick, I’ll find your mystery mind. I’ll need a couple of things, though.”
His expression showed that he was exceptical and hesitant but, he still answered.
“What do you need?” Nick asked with a short sigh.
“Not much just access to the building between today and the attack day- we should call it that-, a bit of gasoline, a blowtorch and some apple-cinnamon cookies; that would be peachy.”
“You’re not blowing up the building!”
“Why not? It’ll kill him, his gang and that other gang.” She argued.
“What about the other people in the building? This is insane!”
“It’s not insane, I call it ‘thinking outside the box.’ Also, everyone else? They’re bystanders, I’ll push them out of the building if I have to.”
“Fine! Fine! Carol, if anyone dies you’re responsible. Hundred percent. Alright?”
“Yes, Nick. I always take responsibility for my actions, anyway.” She rolled her giant green eyes dramatically.
“Access, gasoline and blowtorch. I’ll see what I can do.” He said reaching for a cabinet drawer that contained a clipboard before noting down Carol’s list.
“And my cookies!” She screamed in protest “Apple-cinnamon! Don’t forget!”
He shook his head, his eyes falling to back of his head as he pulled a remote from his blazer’s pocket. He pushed a button and the metal cuffs placed around her limbs were released.
“Oh, good!” She mentioned before she thought of something. Her face froze in tension as her greens widened in Nick’s direction.
“Oh no! We’ve hit middle ground! Are we having a movie moment? Are we going to hug now? I don’t want to hug you. I don’t want to hug anyone but, especially not you!” She fanned her face dramatically as if she was going to start crying.
“No, we’re not going to hug,” he explained, rolling his eyes once again. He was losing count of how many times he’d done that “I don’t want to hug you either, Carol.”
A sigh of relief left her throat as she placed a hand on her chest. “Good! Now, excuse me, I have to go make a scene somewhere. Contact me when you have my things.”
“Where are you going Carol?” He asked, holding her arm as she began to walk away “What ‘scene’ do you have to make?”
“I don’t know, love” she shrugged, looking into his bright eyes that shone in the room’s artificial light “Life’s full of people to see, places to go and scenes to make. Stop thinking I keep a schedule; I don’t.”
She smiled sarcastically as he forcefully released her arm, smiling fakely at her. Then, she walked to the door turning around to look at him for a second, waving goodbye with a flirtatious wave, twirling her fingers.
“Looking forward to our next ‘threat-exchange,’ Nick!”
Then, she walked away, but not before he shouted at her, a real and small smile on his face.
“Try to not get into too much trouble!”
“You know that won’t happen!” She shouted back with her own smile “Danger is a side effect of me!”

Bring it On!
A/N: More of a casual read this one (except maybe the end). The female character in this is inspired by my sister since, I was talking to her about what I was going to write and I asked her for a character idea. She, instead, began to describe the dream version of herself and we laughed, but, I decided to stick with it! I hope you enjoy this a little more chill back read!
P.S.: Didn’t have to add a dog but, I did :P
Word Count: 2523 Words (Whoops :P)  Warnings: kicking, insults (Not much of it)
Summary: Reon isn’t from the same realm as everyone else, which makes his life much harder. Until, he meets someone who manages to show him kindness and make him stronger. Not physically but mentally.
The people who lived in the realm of Caulara talked about the existence of other realms quite openly. Unlike other realms, this civilization was sometimes rather skeptic about other fully formed dimensions, were people similar to them lived, despite the fact that there was someone who actually was from another realm living in between them.
Meet Reon Faulkner. The adult that came from the realm of Grorix at the age of 16. The chestnut haired male wasn’t able to remember much of his old home but, he always thought it was because of his surprising arrival at Caulara. It was a cold winter night, the chilly purple mixed with the dark hues in the canvas that was the sky when the painting was ruined by an incoming vehicle. The metal-looking contraction was surrounded by the bright green lights of energy that were being created as the object passed through the realm barrier. Very few civilians saw as it came crashing down and unbeknownst to those few, there was someone inside. While the local cityfolk tried to call a superior, the young, crystal eyed teen stepped out, confused and dizzy. Reon was- and still is- muscular in size despite his slightly lower than average height.
After this event, of course, the theories came around. Everyone kept changing their minds on whether the boy was a protector for the people of Caulara or the destroyer. Clearly, they never came to a conclusion that everyone agreed with, so, for this reason, he was outcasted and wasn’t allowed to live in the large cities or important towns of Caulara. And that was enough surprises for the people of Caulara for a while.
But not enough surprises for Reon. His were just starting.
He soon came to find that while he crashed across neighboring realms, fragments of the realm barrier came with him as well. The thick, empty space between realms still had its population. Most of that population consisted of fragments of creatures from different dimensions smashed together into a different being but, a small percentage of the population was these ghost-like beings. They were in charge of protecting the realm barrier and looking after each universe’s avitants. They were named the Zectime and one of them had crashed with Reon.
The 16 year old was walking through an empty nature-filled area, a small distance past the nearest city. After being turned down by the population, he was forced to find an empty place to live in. This wasn’t going to well for him though. It had been days after his crash and he hadn’t slept on a proper bed or eaten a full meal since that night. As he walked, his crystal blues focused on the dirt and snow below him, his brown, straight hair was being covered by a small winter hat but, some disobeying strands fell from inside the knitted surface and partly covered his small eyes. He wrapped the long jacket tighter around his built formed as a cold wind flowed around him but, it wasn’t because of the weather. His steps became a tiny bit slower as the wind picked up before it completely ceased, in the matter of seconds.
“Hello,” the sudden yet friendly voice made him halt his steps “what are you doing here all by yourself?”
Reon turned around, only to find a young girl- maybe a bit older than him- running towards him. Her small browns held some sort of warmth that contrasted her large head of untameable, red hair. Her messy curls traveled loosely down her back, the beanie atop her head doing little to keep it clean. She was significantly shorter than him which seemed to match her built-less figure. Large glasses sat on her rosy-skin nose. Most of her body was covered by a long coat as well as a cozy red scarf that hung from her neck and flowed in the wind, matching her hair quite nicely.
The male remained quiet making a thick silence fall between them for a few seconds since the female was quick to break it.
“Oh! You must be the boy that crashed on that strange ship! Right? We saw you crashing down; it must’ve been pretty awful, sorry.” She offered him a smile.
“So, you know about me?” His eyes began to focus on the ground once more as she finished nodding yes “So, you probably won’t want me to stick around here. It’s alright. I know.”
His feet began to pull him away from the forest before she ran towards him, again.
“No! Wait!” She called. “Why would you say that?”
“Because that’s what everyone else is doing.”
“Alright then! I’m going to be different than them! I know exactly where you could stay: there’s a small cabin a bit further into this forest. I used to use it but, now, it’s empty. Not in furniture though! In people. Don’t worry, I live around here too. So, you’ll live in that cabin and I’ll be sure to scare away anyone that wants to make you go away! See? Not like the others.”
“Not like the others.” The, now, laughing boy repeated as he allowed himself to be pulled by the female.
“Good, I like being different. Oh! Where are my manners? I’m Bettie, but you can call me Bett, because, now, we’re friends! You?”
“Reon. Call me Re.”
Later that day, Reon found himself inside his new home. A simple wooden cabin with enough furniture to keep him comfortable and his own personal backyard garden. He laid on his new bed as he felt that strange wind from before, just stronger. Then, it halted again and a new voice arrived.
“Finally, I’ve been trying to have a word with you for a while now, Reon.” A strange figure floated slightly above the ground in front of him. The whole being was colored a pale baby blue and they seemed to glow a white light around them. Reon couldn’t identify their gender or their age or really anything about the new being in the room.
“Wh-Who are y-you?” He stuttered while backing away on his bed.
“Well, I don’t really have a name, but, I’m a Zectime so, call me Zec if you wish. Now, you’re the reason I’m here and now I’m stuck here; as are you. So, I guess, from now on, I’ll have to keep you company. Don’t want you going crazy and crashing another vehicle through the realm barrier.” The sassy being remarked.
From that day on, two things became constant in Reon’s life: a stable friendship with Bettie and Zec randomly appearing when he was alone. Zec made Reon slightly paranoid at first, but, soon, that feeling went away and they became a simple accomplice of Reon’s and he even began to enjoy their company. He wasn’t comfortable enough for them to be considered a friend but, he couldn’t say he was too bothered by their constant presence. But, of course, Zec became his secret that nobody knew about.
On the other hand, Bettie helped him much more. She taught him everything there was to know about Caulara; especially its nature. Everything from the insects and animals to the extreme season change of the realm, she knew. Reon soon came to learn that she was highly intelligent. She loved learning and inventing things. The fact that most impressed the chestnut-haired male was that she had single handedly made it so that her home was completely powered by solar panels. He also discovered her bravery; no matter the threat or the challenge she never backed down from anything.
The years past and Reon was now 25 and yet, things remained mostly the same. Today was a normal day for Reon. He got ready in the morning before heading to Bettie’s cabin home.
As he past the brightly colored autumn trees, he became aware of the certain absence of Zec’s but, he decided to not think too much about it as he approached his best friend’s home. He entered the familiar home, immediately smelling the soft scent of vanilla as he opened the door. The cream walls welcomed him as he stepped towards the brown couch, taking ahold of one of the orange and red throw pillows. A large lamp hang from the ceiling above him and a few framed pictures were located on the orange feature wall behind him. He had a perfect view of the black table against the wall opposite him that held various objects, including her favorite red tulips and vanilla scented candles that were in fact lit.
He jumped slightly in place as the nearby red door opened a small but long white with brown spotted dog coming through quickly as smoke flew out of the room. A coughing Bettie soon came through the doorway. She had somehow managed to pull all her hair behind her ears with the help of the lab goggles around her head. She wore some loose black pants with a white dress shirt and a brightly colored red waistcoat under her white lab coat, contrasting the simple blue jeans, black shirt and blue hoodie Reon wore.
“Bett, what’s is this?”
“Just testing out Mystic Chemistry. It’s a mixture between the mystical abilities of the flowers here and, well, chemistry. I invented it. Or, at least, I will-. Oh! I can’t get distracted! There’s something I need to tell you! It’s important.” She removed the lab coat and threw it across the room before coming to seat beside the confused and, yet, not surprised male. “A group people came looking for me last night, asking for you. Apparently, you ‘brought darkness upon them.’ I did my research and found that a whole building’s gravity ceased to exist for about ten minutes, this made everything to float like a space shuttle in a poorly filmed movie. Then, everything came crashing down.”
She pulled out her phone and played a video of one of the building’s security cameras. It showed exactly what she explained: one moment, everyone was at their desks working on their personal computers as some sipped a hot drink and the next everyone was screaming as their feet left the floor, everything coming with them. The hot drinks began spilling in mid air but the drops levitated too. Desks turned around thin air as looks of desperation were shared between workers. Then, everything fell to ground once again before the clip finally ended.
“And they’re blaming you for it. Now, I know for a fact that there’s no way you have the guts to do something like that because, when have you actually had the guts to do anything? But, I still feel like I should ask: Reon, did you break the law of gravity? And, if you did, why didn’t you invite me?”
“I-I didn’t.”
“That’s what I thought, so, I kept looking and I came across something really interesting. You know that strange energy that comes from the realm barrier that actually has a strong magnetic field around it making it actually really easy totrack?”
“Yes?”
“Well, that place couldn’t have been more filled with that energy; it even made the lights flicker! So, I think whatever it was, it came from the realm barrier. Problem is I can’t tell anyone because they’ll think is you because, well, you came from the barrier. So-.” A notification noise came from her phone. She stood up after she checked it, grabbing her long, black coat. “There’s been another one. At a supermarket. Come on, let’s prove your innocence!”
The walk to the city center was mostly silent for the two friends as they both thought about what to say when they finally arrived. When they arrived, their words weren’t ready yet. Not even close.
As they walk to their destination across the streets, words and phrases were being shouted at Reon. Their words calling him a ‘traitor,’ a ‘destroyer,’ ‘unwanted’ and ‘cruel’ bounced around his head as he pulled his blue hood up, while Bett wrapped an arm around his shoulder, pulling him slightly closer to her until they finally arrived.
“There he is! He’s the one who is responsible for all this!” Someone in the crowd said, pointing at the blue-eyed male.
“Yes! You threaten us with your tricks but can’t even muster up the courage to show your face to us, coward!” Another shouted.
“Why don’t you face us if you threaten us, huh? You think this is funny? I’ll tell you what’s funny: a criminal that can’t even admit his crimes to himself. Even he thinks he’s silly!” One more laughed as more insults came in and out. Reon began to cower to the floor as people began to circle him, some not only screaming their words but throwing kicks at him until he was laying on the floor, tears beginning to flood his crystal-like eyes that had now lost their glow.
But a voice interrupted this.
“Stop!” The yell seemed to echo despite walls not being present. All the city folk halted at the loud shout and turned around. On top of the short fountain, water flowing between her boots, stood Bettie, standing tall and straight despite her opposite figure. “You call him inhumane, you call him cruel, you call him all these things. Are you aware of what you’re doing? You are hurting another living being, not only verbally or mentally but physically now. You call him all these things when the ones who really fit under those words are you.”
“But he’s doing this! He deserves this!” Someone protes.
“Actually, he hasn’t done anything. While this happened we were talking at my house. How could he have done it? Actually, let me save you the thought: he couldn’t have. Now, let me tell you who’s behind this. They come from the realm barrier, that I know. Now, they’re the coward, the one who won’t even show up to their own trial and let anyone else to take the blame.”
“Ding, ding, ding, we’ve got a winner,” everyone stepped back as they gasped when the ghost being appeared. Reon immediately recognized them as Zec “finally, someone who actually opens their eyes, yet, I’d hoped we would fight, but, seeing you, I think that might be out of the question, huh darling?”
“Bring it on, boo. You don’t scare me.” She slid off the fountain easily. Reon began crawling towards her.
“Bett, don’t do this,” he began standing up besides her “this is my fight. You don’t know how powerful these beings are.”
“And they don’t know how smart I am. I’m not letting you do this.”
“I’m not letting you either.” He told her, seriousness flowed in both their stares.
“Then, we’ll do it together,” She stated, linking her fingers around his, holding his hand.
He laughed slightly, despite the nervous feeling rising in his chest. “Why are you like this?”
“Because I like being different,” She said throwing him a wink “bring it on! Because you’ll have to get through both of us before anything else!”
And his nervousness faded away slightly as her courage just kept rising higher.

Diary of The Unreal Gem
A/N: I wanted to try something different so, I went with a diary format for this one and I quite like how it came out. It’s also left to your interpretation a bit: you decide who the main character is and their relationship with the male in the story. So, hope you enjoy and have a great rest of your day :D
Word Count: 1681 Words Warnings: Character feeling uncomfortable and scared (there’s probably more but I don’t really know how to frase it :P)
Summary: After a seemingly fun trip, this diary’s owner’s friend/lover/other starts changing rather quickly. To say the least, they’re worried about him.
May 10th, 2019
I’ve never felt this confused before. I knew he was acting a bit off since a while ago, but, I never expected it to go this far. By ‘this far’ I mean, I’m becoming scared of him. Everything still feels really strange; almost like I’m living in a strange nightmare.
In the 8 years I’ve known him, nothing like this has ever happened. So, why now? I feel like I know or, use to know but, why can’t I remember? It’s all so bizzare.
I guess I’ll have to flick back through these pages, while he’s sleeping. I think he still sleeps, anyway. I’m not entirely sure. But, if I manage to read back, I should probably be able to piece something together. At least, hopefully.
April 2nd, 2019
We had a wonderful day today! We went to this awesome exhibition about different discoveries from around the world and we even got a private tour of the place and got to touch some of the things! All for free! How generous is his friend, right? I couldn’t believe it when we got told all of this. Because, he has a friend who works in caves, he explores and discovers amazing things so, when they opened this exhibition he invited him to see the amazing gem he found a few years back. A friend told me her brother saw it once. It’s called the Unreal Gem. Some say, the first person who saw it went insane, that his personality began changing in the matter of seconds. But that’s just a story.
Sadly, I didn’t get to hold it. Only he did. The gem was extremely big and a shiny green color. I didn’t get to see it properly; our explorer friend said ‘it was too dangerous for me.’ I only know it must have been amazing since he looked at it for a very long time, his green eyes wouldn’t leave it!
Sadly, he’s acting a bit distant right now.
When we got home, I tried to ask him what the gem was like and he gave me a very short response. Something like: ‘yeah, yeah, really pretty.’ His eyes didn’t meet mine as he spoke and they haven’t since, which is strange, since he always looks at me while we talk.
I guess he’s just tired. I hope he gets a good night rest and, hopefully, he’ll be the same cheery person he’s always been. And that I love.
April 9th, 2019
He’s acting extremely strange now. In just a few days it’s gotten way weirder and I’m starting to get worried by it. I’ve tried to ask him about it, but he’s completely ignoring me. I feel like I’m talking to myself. I miss our chats and our lovely conversations, now that he barely looks at me. I’ve even tried to get his attention but he won’t budge out of his in trance-like state. He’ll sit on the couch and look straight ahead for hours at a time, sometimes I get the feeling that he isn’t even blinking.
For some reason I feel like that gem is what did this to him, but, that doesn’t really make sense, does it? I’m really trying to find out what’s wrong with him, I have been for the last few days. It’s proving to be extremely difficult, though. I just want him back; I really miss him.
April 18th, 2019
There’s a strange smell around the house still; the same that started two days ago and it’s still there. I can’t really describe it. It’s not particularly horrible but it isn’t nice either. I’ve never smelt anything like it. It sort of smells like a chemical but not entirely; it’s too strange to simply be a chemical. It’s not too strong, not in any way over-powering but, sometimes I have to go outside to get rid of it for a moment. After a while it makes my thoughts become foggy. I even start forgetting things easily; it’s really messing with me.
I also haven’t seen him in days. He just suddenly disappeared a few days before the scent began. It makes me wonder if he’s the one responsible for it. It wouldn’t really surprise me if that were true. Until I know though, I’ll keep trying to find out what the source is. Wish me luck.
April 29th, 2019
This morning I woke up and I think something is missing. Something that used to be here but isn’t anymore.
There’s the smell of the spring flowers coming through the open windows, which makes everything feel a little bit better. Unlike him, today. When I first saw him this morning, his clothes were different. By different, I mean completely different. I grabbed my phone to check if I was right- just in case I was going mad- and he’s never worn anything like that.
A dark red shirt covers his chest but the bottom of it looks like it went through a shredder. His pants seem to be completely made out of black leather, similar to his black and purple toe-length coat. Metal chains are hung around his body, some wrapping around his limbs and one even wraps loosely around his neck several times. The dark colors make his eyes look brighter; a bright green that feels like it would grab your complete attention if you look at them for too long.
I better go- he just called after me and something tells me I should listen to what he has to say.
May 3rd, 2019
It’s getting worse.
He’s barely eating now. I say ‘now,’ I honestly can’t remember if he ate yesterday or not. He’s still not going outside, he won’t even look out through the closed windows. Also, I haven’t seen him change his clothes since the day he completely changed them. At least I think so.
He’s noticing me more now. I’m not sure how I feel about that. At some point in the past, I would’ve welcomed his attention, the small touches his fingers would do across my arms. But, again, I’m not so sure now. When did that get so sinister?
He’s also whispering to himself more. I’ve never been able to understand what he says, though. I’ve really tried. Additionally, he won’t let me inside his room anymore, the door is locked all the time and I can’t get it opened.
He is chatting with me more, which gives me hope that, after this lowest point is over, he’ll begin to slowly get better. I sure hope that’s right. I don’t know what I’ll do otherwise.
May 8th, 2019
If I thought it was bad before, I had no idea how bad it could get.
Before, he wouldn’t go outside but, now, he isn’t letting me outside of these walls. Not even to the backyard. Also, that strange smell is back but, it’s stronger now. Way stronger. So strong that it feels like my mind is thinking less and forgetting certain things for a few minutes before turning itself on again.
Sometimes, he locks himself up in his room and suddenly starts screaming. Like he was in pain. At first, I’ve tried getting inside the room, but, I can’t. I’ve tried everything: lock picking, force opening it, maybe even kicking it down; nothing works.
Now that I’ve given up on that, I’ve tried to escape while he’s inside, but, that doesn’t work either. As soon as I even begin to open any door, the screaming would stop, the house becoming extremely silent. In the span of seconds, he’ll be besides me, his hand rising from the back of my neck to the top of my head, where my short hair starts.
He’ll sometimes lean in real close, his lips brushing my ear slightly and whisper something. I can’t seem to recall what he whispers, but, I know he does do it. Why can’t I remember?
Other times, he’d simply grip my wrist and pull me away from the door, gently. He’ll let go of his tight hold as soon as I sit down on a chair. Then, his large hands would rest on the sides of my face, his greens hiding behind his eyelids as his lips would brush a quick kiss on the crown of my head. Usually, this action would be considered nice, even safe, in fact, I once loved it when he did this. Now, though, his lips feel colder, like his stare, that use to be welcoming and that seemed to wash a sense of safety over you. Those times feel so far away that I’m actually beginning to think I’ve imagined it. But, how was it so real?
I just want to close my eyes and escape this horrid nightmare.
May 13th, 2019
If anyone finds this, never, ever look or find the Unreal Gem. Don’t let anyone find it.
The effects of the smell have banished and I remember everything now. I did a bit of research about the gem, which was my original concern and I found something. The information about the gem gets past around and the people who hear about it are the ones who suffer. The person who hears about it, one of the people they know and care about, will somehow look at the gem. This causes their personality to change completely. They’ll begin to lose themselves in the effect of the gem. Soon enough, they’ll change so much that they’ll become controlling, hurtful and so much more. If you’re reading this and if you’ve read some past entries, then, you know about the gem. I’m so sorry.
I’m currently hiding in my room, I’ve locked the door and I can hear his loud steps walking around outside. I can’t really tell how far away he is, but I know he can’t be that far away. I can feel my hands begin to shake, I’ve never been so scared of a person before.
I don’t wait. Is that the door opening? Alright, he’s coming in! Don’t look at the Unreal Gem. Please. Pleas-

The Day She didn’t Want to Travel Anymore.
A/N: First of all, I’m sorry about sunday. I had a few issues and for several reasons I wasn’t able to post anything, but, to make up for it have a long one! It’s very meta and I actually really like how it came out so, I hope you do too. Also if you want an idea of what the ring looks like, have this picture:
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/84935142946547069/
I have a friend who has a ring similar to this one and that’s what inspired this whole story so, that’s that! Once again, hope you enjoy!
Word Count: 2838 Words Warnings: The ending is a tiny bit sad but that’s about it :P
Summary: May received a magical ring and a set of rules for it. What happens when she breaks one of the rules and discovers something horrible?
May Ocean always thought everything was a little too strange around her; and for good reason.
She was born in the year 2042 and had a relatively normal childhood. She lived in a peaceful street where very few people lived. In fact, she knew all her neighbors by name and would enjoy chatting with them daily, even as a young child. She played, learned, spent time with her many friends and did everything that anyone would expect her to do at that age. The moment it got strange was when she turned 19.
On her birthday, she was out and about- like she usually was- when someone accidentally bumped into her. Or at least she thought it was an accident. The unknown individual apologized, their face covered by the dark blue hood of their long cover. Then, they proceeded to give May a ring. At first inspection, it seemed like a regular ring- perhaps a bit thicker than normal- but, it wasn’t. After pressing the ring in between her fingers it snapped into the shape of an infinity symbol. On top of the object’s silver color a mysterious engraving layed, it read ‘Calling of Illusion Travel.’ As a gasp escaped May’s lips, she turned to thank the individual, only to find that they were already walking away. She, instead, called out her gratitude in confusion as she placed the ring in one of her fingers. What she failed to notice was the glowing gold color the ring changed to for a moment, a few seconds after she put the jewelry item on.
A few years later, she took the ring of for a moment, and, soon after, she snapped it into its other shape. This caused a bright light to take over her vision, her brown eyes began blinking rapidly, her pale hands shaking along to that speed. When her vision returned normal, the long-haired blonde noticed the difference in scenery. The once brightly lit room was replaced by a  green grass-covered mountain side and a light blue sky. Wildflowers were scattered across the green canvas, likewise, the puffy clouds lined the sky. Very few trees could be found as well as some out of place rocks that were quite small in size. The view from where she stood consisted of similar hills and a faraway river that flowed with the soft breeze around her. She turned around to find the sight of a city sized population, a small walk away. The populated place consisted of small wooden and brick cabins, farm pens with various animals and stone wells. Despite that, the number of houses could compete with the number of buildings in a city and the number of buzzing and chatting people made it seem like a touristic point. May began walking towards the strange place.
She began asking different people about her current location, receiving strange looks followed by kind answers. After questioning what felt like half the people, she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. May was told that the year was the same and the location was the same. She knew this couldn’t be true; or could it? Questions began to fill her head as she tried to look for a conclusion but getting stuck in a endless void of questions.
How could it be the same place when everything was completely different? Where was the newly formed technology? Where was everything she knew as normal?
‘Well, I’ll tell you.’ May heard a loud voice that seemed to come from the back of her mind. Because it was.
“W-Who are you? Wh-Where-?” She asked out loud, before I interrupted her.
‘You don’t have to talk, alright? Just think it.’
“What?” May fought to not speak the question out loud. “L-Like this?”
‘Yes. Now, you are in an alternate dimension, the ring brought you here.’
Her thoughts and question all left at once, like water flowing into a drain. New questions wanted to form but she wasn't able to form them. Something kept telling her what the voice was telling her was true, regardless of how ridiculous it sounded.
“Well, suppose this was true, how would I get back?”
‘Just snap the ring back to its simple form, and when you want to go to another dimension snap it into the other symbol.’
“Alright…”
May hesitantly grabbed the ring and closed her eyes tightly as she snapped it back into a circular shape. Through her closed brown eyes she could still partly see the bright lights that surrounded her as she left the strange nature-filled world. When she opened her eyes again, she stood where she began.
That night, sleep didn’t want to come to her. Her mind was still buzzing due to the events that had happened earlier and she couldn’t stop herself as she came up with a scenario that would upset her. She couldn’t stop herself from thinking that she wasn’t real. She had spent her childhood reading and she suddenly felt the similarities to the happening to the ones of a story’s main character.
Was she just a character in an author's mind? There was no way for her to know.
The years kept passing and, despite May’s better judgement, she kept jumping through dimensions. Throughout her travels, her growing insecurity about being a mere fictional individual, born to entertain a public, kept haunting her. She couldn’t keep those thoughts far away for too long; they would always chase her mind down, over and over again. Also, every so often, she would get messages from the voice that talked from the back of her mind, giving her advice about said travels, such as, trying to avoid other dimension’s versions of herself. She followed the advice successfully every time… except once.
The day she didn’t want to travel anymore.
It was a lazy sunday morning, when May decided it would be a good day for an adventure in another dimension. She quickly slid the ring off her finger, only to snap it into the infinity symbol, a bright smile on her face as her brown orbs glimmered in excitement. The bright light surrounded her as she giggled. Years of travel made her grow accustomed to that brightness that, now, she had grown to love.
She looked around in pure happiness before she actually noticed where she was.
The scenery around her was sadder than any other she had seen in her years of travel. Most buildings seemed completely abandoned while some were simply destroyed. Some street lights were bended while others had fallen due to the strong winds that made May’s blonde hair grow messy as the time passed. The only thing in reasonable state was the huge technological billboards on the side of better preserved buildings. They all read different things and phrases about ‘The Force of Salvation’, claiming that said organizacion would help the ‘desperate population.’ Some billboards also talked about a place called ‘The Protector.’ Spots for street plants that lined the pavement were empty as the soil seemed completely ruined and impossible to plant in. The only natural component visible was the green moss that continued to grow next to cobwebs on the side of some buildings. The smell of smoke and dust filled the quiet space as everything was completely empty and silent, besides the quiet hum of faraway machinery. At further inspection, May found that some active cameras stood on the side of the bad state buildings near her, so, she quickly hid from their view. The ambience of the place made her develop a growing fear of what would happen if those cameras spotted her. The sky was lined black and gray clouds made from smoke and the sky couldn’t be seen.
May began to sneak around the horrible city, looking out for nearby cameras that may spot her. As she did this, her sweaty palms began to make her grip slippy. Soon enough, the ring glided of her hand into one of the city’s drains. Luckily though, she found a sign near said drain.
‘ALL CITY DRAINS LEAD TO THE PROTECTOR.’
So, of course, that’s the place May knew she needed to find. The 25-year-old didn’t want to get stuck in that world forever.
She wondered around the city’s endless streets for what seemed like days and, it very well could’ve been since she had no real way of knowing how fast time was passing or, even, what time of day it was since the sky was covered. Eventually though, she came across what she was looking for.
A huge building- so huge that the thick smoke that covered the sky made it impossible to see the top- laid in front of her. The walls were colored a dark gray colored and very few windows lined the surface, this made the building have a similar appearance to a prison. But, May knew it wasn’t a prison, since on top of one of the many heavy-looking doors a huge sign read: ALL ARE WELCOMED INTO THE PROTECTOR.
She got closer to the building and looked into one of the tiny windows into the ground floor. May found the inside to be filled to the brim with people letting her know that she couldn’t just wander in. Luckily, on the back wall, outside, was a huge brick stairway. It didn’t seem extremely safe but, to be fair, neither did the guards inside the building, so, jumping over the fence into the stairs, May began running up. Every time she would reach a potential entry way, she would look through it, to make sure it was safe. 40 potential entries later, she found an almost completely empty floor. That seemed great in the beginning, but, soon the sound of pain-filled screams that came from further into the floor began to worry her. Deciding that that floor could be her only chance to come into the building, she tried to ignore the painful sounds and filled herself up with a fakely formed bravery as she carefully stepped inside.
She tiptoed across the long hallways, passing past heavy, metal doors as she looked for an indoor staircase or a map of the huge place. A different-looking door caught her attention and some strange feeling of curiosity called her towards the door. She quietly opened it and proceeded to step inside as she closed the door behind her.
The room was dimly lit, the only light source being a small bulb by one of the corners of the room. There was nothing inside it, only the dark walls and the cold floor below her feet. The only real noticeable factor was a strange thing on the wall, it seemed similar to a drain but May swore she could feel freezing wind coming from it. Humidity could be felt around the room and that fact could be confirmed due to the wetness and small puddles of water that covered the floor. It took May a while to notice the terrified figure of a girl by the corner of the room.
“Hello,” May whispered to the girl that seemed around her age. The individual looked up slowly, her browns meeting May’s same colored eyes. Her cheeks were lined with faint tear tracks and her hair was covered by a large helmet with many wires and switches- some that seemed to still be on- that sat atop her head.
“Hello,” she responded, her voice was groggy and quiet making it very clear that it had been a very long time since it last had been used “are you here to hurt me?”
“What? No, no, of course not,” May attempted to smile gently at the girl “in fact, is this what’s hurting you?” May signed towards the helmet and the girl nodded yes as tears began forming in her eyes, slowly.
“Well,” May continued “can I?” She reached towards the sides of the helmet and, with the girl’s guidance, she was able to turn it off and remove it from her head, revealing a head of short dirty blonde hair. “Now, could you explain what this place is, if you don’t mind, of course.”
“The Force of Salvation has been taking people ever since the fabric of this world began to break. They’ve been taking them here and using their brain power for their own gainage. Nobody knows what they do with all the information they have; it’s unknown.” The girl explained.
“But, who are The Force of Salvation?”
“Nobody really knows,” she began “it’s said that they come from other realities and that their worlds got destroyed. The fabrics of their worlds separated so much that the entirety of their worlds were completely destroyed.”
“I don’t understand why worlds suddenly began to fall apart though?” May wondered, the girl opposite of her seemed to hesitate and grow nervous at this question.
“I-I d-d-don’t know.” She stuttered, her face filled with a feeling of dread. Depressed, even.
“Alright.” Seeing her grow nervous was what told May to stop asking question, that girl was clearly in enough pain for May’s ongoing questionnaire. “Let’s get you out of here then, right after we find my ring.”
“Y-Y-Your r-ring?”
“Yes, it’s our ticket out of here!”
The next few hours, May and her newly formed accomplice were sneaking around floor to floor looking for May’s magical ring. Sadly, though, this didn’t really work. The ring seemed impossible to find. Also, the rescued girl seemed extremely quiet, even more than she should be, she also seemed eager to get out. But, of course, May brushed it off as it being a side effect of everything she had been through in that place. As the hours kept passing, though, May decided they were already testing their luck in not getting caught and decided to take the girl outside. As the girl saw the outside view, she gasped sadly.
“It used to be so beautiful…”
“Look, don’t worry,” reassured May “once I find my ring I’ll be able to take you to an amazing place. Granted, I’ve never traveled with a passenger but, I’m sure I’ll figure something out. Tell you what, I’ll go look for the ring inside meanwhile, you hide around here. I’ll be ba-.”
“No!” The girl grabbed May’s arm as she turned to go back into the building. “You can’t find your ring May!”
“Wait. May? I never told you my name. How did you know it?” May demanded as the girl stayed quiet “Tell me!”
“Fine! I’m you! I’m you alright. I’m May William Ocean.” She confessed “This isn’t a parallel universe, May. This is our street. Where we grew up. Where we lived. Look at what it has become. I can’t let you do what I did. All of this is our fault. The worlds falling apart is our fault.”
“I’ll fix it, I will. I just need my ring, I’ll make sure I don’t do anything. I-.”
“No! May, aren’t you listening?” The other May screamed, anger flowed through her veins “You can’t stop it! What power do we have to stop this? What power do you have? Don’t you think I tried to stop it? I’ve been through this, but I didn’t listen to myself and look where I am. Even though, I don’t think you can avoid it, I think you should at least try. Stop travelling. We may just be a character in a short story but maybe you can try to change our future.”
“So, we are just character?” May asked.
“Yes,” the short haired May answered “But, right now it won’t affect us much. But, seeing it through the helmet… it’s like leaving my own body and seeing all the worlds and the effect I’ve had in them through the writers mind. I saw the destruction of all those lives, descriptions that the author didn’t even write because the story was becoming too long. But, you know what? Even though, to that writer we are fictional, everything around us, is still our reality. We are real just elsewhere. Don’t throw away what you already have.”
The other May reached into her small pocket pulling out the ring in its infinite symbol form. “The choice is yours, May. I can’t stop you, not really.”
May didn’t know what to say; what to choose. She always thought her actions didn’t have a real consequence, she always thought she wasn’t real, therefor, her actions didn’t matter. But, what she had just heard made her realize that, whether that fact was true or not, everything around her was real to her and everything she did would have a consequence.
“You’re right. I’m sorry.”
“No, I’m sorry, you should’ve never seen this; you shouldn’t have seen this. It’s all my fault- again.”
“What-? No, no it’s not your fault, I won’t travel anymore. I-.”
‘No, she’s right. This was never meant to happen, May. I never meant for this destruction to happen. This is why I told you to try to never meet yourself… I’m sorry, May.
“No, please, don’t please don-.”
