Oh my goodness, I feel honored that you chose to nominate them! What Amberyn loves most about spending time with Porthos is his unconditional encouragement. He never strives to undermine her and values her opinion immensely. When they first marry, it takes a while to grow used to one another as a couple rather than just comrades. One of his favorite things is leaving flowers for her in the morning when he knows he has early training. She will find the bouquet sitting in their kitchen with a special note of endearment before she starts her day. In the evening, the two love to cook together as they speak about the day as they relax into the night.

Hey! I hope you don’t mind me asking this, but who’s your new faceclaim for Jefferson Hatter? I saw just that he had a faceclaim change from the canon OUAT show.

Hello Anon! So I recently (although I don't know if this is recent news) discovered that Sebastian Stan could be considered problematic. In order to still enjoy the world and the characters I've built, I recast him. The face claim I chose was Andrew-Lee Potts, a Mad Hatter in his own right as he portrayed the character in Syfy's version entitled 'Alice'. I hope this answers your question and clears up any confusion.

Jefferson Hatter of the Enchanted Forest was no stranger to mischief. The mischief led him to his first love and eventually to the birth of his daughter. However, he felt a void where his heart used to be. Every beat felt like a needle being pressed into a sore wound that would never heal. He wanted to provide for his only child and found that opportunity in another realm where slippers were always worn down. Jefferson and Edeline were each other's salvation and each other's doom. The Evil Queen's curse only tore into a story that was just beginning to blossom, leaving many people trapped in a land where happy endings seemed impossible. Chapter Eleven - It's Our Secret “They're bringing forward the execution. We have to prove Gwen's innocence.” Morgana announced as she brought Lynette into a tight hug. Lynette knew better than most what Gwen meant to Morgana. The three of them had been close friends since Morgana arrived in Camelot. The King’s ward didn’t view either as mere servants anymore but as dedicated and highly loyal members of her chosen family. Lynette squeezed her tighter as both tried to rid themselves of any final thoughts of losing Gwen. Instead, they focused on the positive and what they could do to prevent her death. “We're trying.” Morgana looked slightly discouraged as she whispered, “Please, just tell me what I can do to help.” Merlin glanced up from where he was hunched over, an idea emerging as he stated, “We need Arthur.” “Arthur?” “There's a monster, an Afanc, in the water supply,” Merlin explained, hoping the ward would catch on. “That's what's causing the plague.” Morgana’s eyebrows furrowed together, “Well, we must tell Uther.” Gaius shook his head as he took her hands and patted the top, “The Afanc's a creature forged by magic. Telling Uther wouldn't save Gwen. He'd just blame her for conjuring it.” “So what are we to do?” Morgana asked as she looked over at Lynette. Lynette held up her book, “The books only tell us how it was formed, not how to defeat it.” Merlin nodded, “We need to destroy it. Then the plague will stop, and Uther may see sense.” “And that's why you need Arthur,” Morgana answered. “He's our best chance. But he won't want to disobey the King.” Morgana smirked, catching on to the raven-haired boy’s plan as she spoke, “Leave that to me.” Without another word, Morgana left the room dragging a confused Lynette behind her. Merlin and Gaius watched in amusement, already knowing the inner workings of Morgana’s plan. Although Arthur would do anything for his citizens, he had one weakness that Morgana knew how to exploit. Arthur was extra sweet when any request came from the lips of his beloved Lynette. Even if the two of them didn’t realize it.

Chapter Ten - Remember Me Uther reached out to touch the flower, but Gaius pulled the jar away before he could, “Don't touch it. I had this in the water for a few hours.” Uther looked perplexed at this, “Where's the water from?” “The pump from where the people take their daily supply,” Gaius replied. Lynette’s eyes widened, “Who knows how many more have been infected just this morning.” Arthur nodded, “We may have to stop the people from using it.” “The city cannot survive without water.” Gaius pointed out. “We have to find this sorcerer!” Uther bellowed. “I don't believe they're inside Camelot,” Arthur replied. Uther looked at his unimpressed son as he seethed, “Then extend the search to the villages!” “We've started, but I can't search the entire kingdom,” Arthur stated. “And I can't stand by and watch our people dying,” Uther said. Lynette flinched at Uther’s words, the king noticing with an almost guilty look as she proposed, “If I may, I would like to take a different approach to help. I could research possible remedies to help slow the spread of the disease within the body. If I can’t stop people from being infected, I should try to slow how fast it kills.” Uther gave her permission right away, and Lynette left without looking back at the rest of the group. At this point, she was desperate for a way to combat the rising death tolls. The only known person to survive could not explain how making Lynette suspicious of where her search may lead her. She went up to the castle library, where she was enraptured by the sheer volumes of knowledge nestled into each page. She poured over each book but came up with little to help her.

Chapter One - Updated Wardrobe Esther bounced on her toes in anticipation, barely containing the excitement that threatened to take over, "Where is it? Come on, show me! It's cruel to keep your only daughter waiting!" “I see you told her about the new arrival.”  Esther sent an annoyed look toward Elijah Samson, her childhood friend turned high school jock. While he hadn’t lost his wonder for antiques, he had grown out of the treehouse stage. His ROTC uniform jacket lay on his arm as the boy leaned against the front counter with an old rag. She could just see the tip of his backpack on the chair behind the register as he sent a smirk in her direction, enjoying making her squirm. “I told you she couldn’t resist it.” Wesley said, chuckling at his daughter's evident excitement, before pointing toward the back of the shop, "It's over here." Esther followed him until he stopped before a giant piece of furniture was shrouded in a white cloth. She reached forward, looking back to receive an okay from her father before pulling the fabric off to reveal a giant wardrobe. She was stunned by the intricate patterns that littered the sides of the dark wood. The focal point of the front panels was the detailed carvings of a lion, tree, crown, and even a castle. It looked like something out of one of her paintings. "It's beautiful!" Margo exclaimed with a soft smile. "It's alright," Joseph said, wiping off some dust. "The guy that brought it to us said it had been in his family for a long time. He said his grandmother's family first purchased it in 1949, after the end of World War II. Before that, it had been owned by a famous professor, but little is known about him now." Wesley explained. Wesley detailed the piece's history, but Esther felt it getting harder and harder to pay attention. She was too busy admiring the wardrobe in all its glory. The hinges were smooth as her fingers ran along the edges. The inside revealed markings paired with eligible writing. It looked to be counting the height of a small child. The fantasy-like quality was rarely seen on the market; it was just her style. She already knew she had to keep this artwork for herself.  "Esther?" Margo called before she waved her hand in front of her daughter, successfully snapping Esther back to reality. "Honey?" "Please tell me I can take this home!" Esther cried in excitement, hugging her parents.

A pledge that only he can keep to both a kingdom and a loyal woman full of vibrant life. The acceptance of something bigger than themselves began to grow and build within Esther and Peter. An everlasting promise that, come what may, Peter would choose to see the good where the grim festerings of warfare prevailed. While Esther took heart in knowing her courage would be tested to further the welfare of others in need. Faith offered them a chance at a new perspective, a transcendent world, altering their fairytale into a waking dream.
