A halfbody I did featuring my personal oc, Lucille Sinclair. This piece is far from perfect in my eyes, but for the longest time, when it comes to my human art, my perfectionism has called me to struggle with making any sort of personal art of my ocs outside of references. I've been trying to break out of that mindset. So even if it isn't perfect- I'm happy I've made it<3

I also did a timelapse for this piece that I'm really excited to share.

Lucille inhabits an original world/story of my own creation- a dark gunpowder fantasy with gothic Victorian (and other historical) influences loosely based off of Bloodborne, Elden Ring, ect. The setting is a large, port city called "Grimmstone" (Which has been rattling around in my head since I was 15). Lucy is a brilliant Doctor (gifted both academically and magically) from a noble family whose well regarded amongst the citizens because of her apparent altruism- often providing medical aide to those in need and expecting nothing in return. A reputation that strengthened when a mysterious and deadly plague began to spread throughout Grimmstone's lower quarters and Lucille was one of the only doctors who were willing to aid the afflicted.

However, unbeknownst to all, Lucille is actually a witch whose been studying and actively practicing black magic- Necromancy being her chief interest. and one of the reasons she was so keen to provide assistance was to acquire new test subjects to continue said studies.

Oops, I never uploaded this one to Tumblr (which I only realized when someone else did, but then was kind enough to tag me, thank you)!

This is the comic that kickstarted my obsession with telling stories with as few panels as I could (usually 10-11 haha), so it’s got a soft spot in my heart.

I respect an "I can fix him" villainfucker 50x more than a "he didn't do anything wrong, he's just misunderstood!" villainfucker. like yeah they both get the cute domestic happily ever after, but man the first guy has depth they have nuance and most importantly they are actually aware they're a villainfucker

Just an Fyi

TLDR: I don't enjoy having my characters compared to other ocs. I politely ask that anyone who enjoys or follows my content avoid making comments that do so in the future.

A preface: I'm not angry and upset with anyone. I just wanted to make my feelings known so I can hopefully have a better experience on here in the future.

As an artist, I understand that there's no such thing as an original idea. But I still put a lot of time and effort into creating my characters. I'm usually quite shy when it comes to sharing my work, so nothing is more discouraging then when I come out of my shell to share oc art or headcanons- only to be met with some variation of: "Oh, this reminds me of [blank]!" or "Oh, like [blank]?".

I do my best to be polite as possible whenever someone makes these kinds of comments, but it's been happening so frequently lately it's beginning to TRUELY irritate me.

Why do these comments bother me?

Well, for starters, it diminishes the effort I put into creating my characters.

Secondly, regardless of the speakers intent, they inherently imply that I took inspiration or stole from the oc being referred to- when 9 times out of 10 I've never heard of them LOL

So yes, again, politely asking that these sorts of comments be avoided in the future<3

Another au version of my main oc Rosalie. I'm still a bit indecisive on names, but for now I've settled on Rowdy Rose <3

She's the owner and manager of one of the largest ranches (as in cows, sheep, ect. Applejack does it so she can to ;))))) in Equestria- a job she loves as a hardworking and headstrong mare.

I don't draw mlp to often, but I enjoy doing so from time to time for fun cause pretty ponies. In this drawing I was trying to mix the Gen 3/Gen 4 looks and really like what I've settled on!
