So I started a new mhst:2 game a while back and I picked it up again since I got covid and my anjanath is a tanky son of a bitch.I got this cool screenshot of him while we were participating in the coliseum , he was taking out like level 20-25 contenders like they were nothing despite only being level 15 himself and my rider level 14. They would hit him and bring him down to like 16 hp but then he’d hit them and oneshot them. I did some grinding after till he was about level 18 and he knocked the royal zinogre and the seltas queen bosses on their asses.  Are Anja’s normally this tanky?

I forgot I got this endgame final boss cutscene shot of Kyle jumping off of Ratha, the original was a bit blurry so I edited to make it more clear. This scene is what made Kyle my favorite battle buddy , he looks so badass here!

The FireSpeaker , the 5th Rider

Sparks from the rivers of magma floated into the air , giving the deep caves a starry appearance. Heavy footfalls echoed throughout the darkness as a full grown gold rathian stepped her way into view , a rider clad in golden rathian armor which was dyed a deep amber sat on the beast’s back.  The pair radiated power and elegance , a strong burning bond held them together , the rider stroked the wyvern’s neck affectionately ,  “There there Karain” the rider soothes sweetly as the wyvern began to shift anxiously , lifting it’s head to look around. Karain found herself surprised at her rider...that they couldn’t sense there was something else with in this cave...something they weren’t used to dealing with. Everything in the monstie’s body was screaming at her to retreat the ScorchGash caves with her rider and return to the ashy surface where their village lay in the mountain. She flexed her talons and continued on but was ready to flee at her rider’s command. 

The sound of falling rocks echoed from one of the caves to their right , Den hopped off Karain’s back and gripped the hilt of her Flame Syphos and brandished it using the red light from its glow to seep light into the dark tunnel. They hear Karain give a nervous growl warning her not to stray too far ,  “It’s ok Karain , it’s probably just a Basarios or something’‘ Den reassures her monstie looking over her shoulder wearing a comforting smile. Den proceeds into the dark tunnel when the light of syphos lands on dark black shimmering scales , “What the-’‘ Den starts but a puff of black dust finds it way into their lungs and they collapse on the ground coughing and sputtering. Den hears Karain roars protectively as Den’s eyes fall on one of the most hazardous monsters in existence...a Gore Magala. Still coughing , Den begins scrambling away as the beast began to move towards her...WHOOSH!! A searing ball of flame blasts past Den’s shoulder straight into the wing of the Magala which roars angrily and starts charging toward Karain . The harsh stone ground scrapes and crunches as Karain grips her talons into the cavern floor as she readies herself as soon as her foe went to hit , she flipped herself into the air lashing her poison edged tail at the beast.  Finally able to breathe , Den stabs her blade at the Gore’s wing membrane distracting it from blasting her monstie with the virus , she decided then and there that she would rather die then let her partner , her companion suffer such a vile and painful demise. Throwing herself on her feet , she slashed wildly at the beast’s leg finally gaining it’s full attention , Karain’s poison had yet to take effect but it would hit the Gore Magala hard and heavy soon. It snapped its jaws at Den who managed to roll away just in time to hear the frightening snap of it’s jaws right by her ear. This angered Karain and she lashed her talons at the Magala’s back vigorously ripping up as many scales as she could from it’s back , she landed and went to take a bite herself -  ‘‘DON’T BITE IT KARAIN , IT WILL HURT YOU!!” Her rider screams loudly , distracted the Magala finally lands a heavy blow to the rathians’s maw effectively knocking her to the ground and feels the beast pin her down...”KARAIN!!!”

Update!

I have been working on this everyday since my last post of it , I am absolutely in love with this piece so far. It’s gotten me attached to my monsties all over again. I decided to scrap their rider as I wasn’t sure where he’d fit but I’ll try to add him in the next piece with the ThunderingSparkBubble trio.

I got inspired and I am not disappointed

So I thought I’d try drawing all three of my monsties from stories two cuddled together with their rider and I am not disappointed with the results so far at all , I’m loving how its turning out! I’m actually happy with my art for once! I have yet to roughly sketch the rider and Astalos.

Ok so...

It is cannon in my head that the monsties in monster hunter stories are the actual sizes of their wild counterparts and are just shrunk to make gameplay easier for the player cause otherwise your rathalos’s ass would be taking up the whole screen.  I love the idea of my rider ,Erel , getting attacked or something by some thugs or nasty hunters having no sweet clue that a fully grown Azure Rathalos , a female Mizutsune and a female Astalos have his back. And the moment Erel starts feeling as though he’s in danger one of them just come to the rescue , like would you not shit your pants if a fully grown overprotective azure rathalos or Astalos landed behind this rookie looking hunter and gave you a look of pure “I dare you to try and hit him again’’.  Like look at the size of them , imagine if they found a way to have the monsties their real sizes in the game play ~

Azure Rathalos looks so majestic in the moonlight of this game

I don’t know if it’s his shade of blue or what but he looks amazing in the night time , no one can convince me that there is another monster that looks this good flying in the night in this game aside Legiana maybe.

What are the rules? Like the game I played start to finish through last or the game I played a bit for fifteen minutes yesterday?

Cause I played Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess last night for like 15-30 minutes but I played Monster hunter stories wings of ruin from start to finish. 

I mean hyrule is pretty sick but the keese are annoying as hell same with the bulbins.

My main monstie will be a Ivory Lagiacrus named Sparkripper , we’ll live on the coast of Acala

Song name : Temple of Ipo

I made this in my Digital production class using garage band , the teacher wanted us to make a loop and then turn the loop into a track. 

This is just the loop as I’m still working on the track but I decided to make it for my spider god oc’s temple as they are thought to be dead. However the temple has been empty and unused for thousands of years as the god of fate is slowly forgotten. This loop is supposed to give the vibes of walking around a crumbling dark abandoned temple.
