It has only been one week since university started and my to-do list is already full. We've already had two mini projects assigned, and a presentation next Tuesday. Plus, I'm supposed to have completed 152 hours of independant study for every module this semester. Thankfully, the groups I'm in for the projects are pretty good and everyone is super helpful. Today, "MiniHyuniBinnie" did a chaotic livestream as well, which I put in the background while I worked on my market survey project.

It's already the beginning of March. Orientation for uni ended this week and on our last day of orientation, the senior students organised a club fest where we were introduced to the clubs and activities. I signed up for the toastmasters' club after speaking shortly impromptu by choosing a random topic. I put my name for the media club as well, but they'll be conducting interviews to choose people, so I might need to get back into writing to develop a portfolio. Had some pudding as well today :))

'Twas the first day of uni today, and it was...interesting? Since our first week is basically fresher's week/orientation, we were just having introductions today. The dean of business seems pretty cool, as well as our cohort leaders. The people are okay as well, I did get along with some of them, but I think I might take it slow with getting to know people.

Managed to complete Chapter 11 of motivation, the next chapter is focused on management styles. I'm actually getting pretty interested in the HR section. Lee Know also released a cover! I love his vocals everytime, but this time this song has been on repeat, I absolutely love it. And the song suits him so well.

types of people : self-care things 💅💕

spa days: lighting your favorite scented candle, trying out that new lotion, soft skin with a slight glow to it, sinking into the bath with your favorite song on blast, trying not to laugh so you don't mess up the face mask, feeling like a million bucks, soft hair and even softer smiles at yourself

baking: flour smeared across your cheeks, stealing another taste of the batter, taking silly videos while you wait, pretending you didn't make a funny shaped treat on purpose, staring into the oven in hopes your intense gaze will make it bake faster, all the sprinkles, "forgetting" to do the dishes

binging shows: just one more episode, not skipping the opening sequence to hum along to the song, cozying up under a blanket in pjs, picking off food crumbs from your clothes, stretching and flopping back after you're done, accidentally spoiling an episode for yourself, "are you still watching?"

learning something new: setting up pretty notes with colors, doodling because you're procrastinating, adding this to the list of projects, working along with lofi girl, a cat sitting in your lap as you write and read, feeling proud the one moment you can use your new knowledge, sticking to schedule

been a while

Ah...last update was two months ago.

Well, things somehow got more busier after exams were over.

Exams finished in November with MCQs and I can barely remember how well I did ahaha all I know is that results come out in 10 days.

Ooh something interesting did happen in November though. I graduated high school :DD

It was really fun meeting my friends after the brunt of my exams and after 7 months since April when we left school. A lot of them hadn't seen me for a quite a while ahahah and I hadn't spoken to them in so long as well.

Somehow, we all just slipped back into normal conversation and our grad was so goofy? We were skipping parts of it to fix our sarees (yes we had to wear traditional clothing to our graduation) and hang out to take pictures, or to clap with the band performing.

And afterwards we had a DJ and stuff to play music and it was pretty fun, ngl, even if it's not something I'd usually like. My feet did hurt a lot after though.

Did I take a pic of me stepping out of school at night to be sentimental? Of course I did.

My friend gifted me a Leebit keychain and my sister made me a cake with a Leebit topper for grad as well :))

After grad, I mostly lazed around a bit for November but then started to do more stuff, and was looking into universities as well. I couldn't really consider any abroad as they were pretty pricey but I found my course in a few unis here.

In December, I visited a few of the unis and spoke to the representatives and I decided on one. I applied to it and they sent me a conditional offer with admission based on my results.

Sigh....we'll see how that goes T-T

I finally picked up sewing as well! Been wanting to get back into it for years ever since I kept trying to sew pouches as a 9-year old lmao

Plus, ironically I've been studying the A Level Business textbook to prep for uni. I was doing a few courses online as well.

Ooh and I finally committed to learning Korean! Doing pretty well, except I took a break to focus on Business prep.

So, post grad plans weren't too bad, I hope?

Oh, and of course, catching up with SKZ content ahaha especially end-of-the year stages. It's been a couple years since I'd watched these stages as a BTS fan, and it was nice coming back to it.

So many cool performances! And the ROCK-STAR comeback as well, it was just so amazing. I caught a few of their performances on TV as well

This year was certainly a rollercoaster of emotions for me, and definitely in terms of growth. I think I associate it with confused emotions, and trying to figure out where to keep my feet in a constant, liquid consistency of feelings.

I think for younger me, she would have been pleased to know that I tried many things this year. As a kid, I had the notion that I was horrible at any type of hobby or skill that wasn't getting good grades or being a great student.

Of course, I didn't see the greatest improvement in my grades as I left school, but I did learn how to socialise better and I learnt so many other skills. I have talent besides sitting down and cramming information into my head.

I think. (In true, 17-year old confused fashion.)

Oh, and I totally forgot to write this year 😅 but keeping the study diary was good for me to get out the weird feelings sometimes.

2023 was also a major fangirling year. Met SKZ after four years of jamming to MIROH and Levanter, to meeting them right out of school. Like literally, I think I started watching Chan clips in the last week of March. Man, he really dragged me into this chaos.

But it's chaos that is somehow safe to me.

The livestreams, the bbl messages, the SKZ-CODE episodes, the discovery of their discography (I still have a few older albums to listen to) the love they put into their work. They're so cool, honestly. They're like older brothers to me.

K-pop has its ups and downs but I can't deny it being part of my teenagehood since I was 11. I'm glad SKZ were the guys who got me back into it.

At times, I think I am my life's biggest paradox. The way I think, the way I act, the way I speak, my whole existence is like a paradox to me.

I love nature but I also don't like rain and I am afraid of thunderstorms. I love making friends but I don't want to tell them my problems. I tell my friends it's human to make mistakes but my tiniest mistakes eat me away. I am extremely ambitious and love the things I do, but then, I am extremely lazy too. I am a hopeless romantic, very hopeless, but I am afraid if I fall too hard for someone I might lose my own self. I am very confident about myself but it won't take me the slightest moment to get insecure when someone better read, better dressed shows up. I love myself, a lot. But, there are times I look in the mirror and don't like the way I am looking. I am an over-sharer(if that's even a word, but you get it) but I also have some major trust issues. I don't care about what others think but I also want to be likeable. I am really sensitive but I am also really tough. I am very happy but I also cry a lot.

Even my thoughts. At times, I'd think people don't really have bad intentions, it's just a matter of perspective but then I also judge a lot of people for the one thing they did wrong to me. I'd think honesty is just so very important but I also think a truth that might hurt someone shouldn't be said unless necessary.

There's so much of these things that this list could go on forever. But, then I think our lives are a little too long to hold on to just one personality, just one perspective, just one ideology. Wouldn't it be too boring to live such a predictable life?

Worked on A2 Biology the whole day today, did two past papers and went through Genetic Technology mostly because that is so information based T-T

It was a bit tough to focus today so I put on a few study-with-me videos of Yoora Jung, she's one of my favourite study youtubers that my sister recommended to me.

Today is Lino day!! He's half 50 now ahaha I hope he has a great year ahead of him :)) He started his birthday live just as I was about to start another study session though T-T i had to split the screen lmao:

His YT live really cheered me up and I actually started focusing ahaha hope our dance leader takes his time to re-energize himself and rest <3

Thoughts today: Focused on A2 Chemistry today by just blurting out info, I've gone over everything except Organic, which I'll do gradually.

Today:

Today was Day 2 of the Seoul Unveil 13 concert for SKZ and they did so well! Megaverse sounds amazing and the tracks are just *chef's kiss* they worked so hard and put so much effort into this. It's interesting to watch their growth and I'm miffed I didn't stan them when I first watched Miroh in 2019 T-T but still so proud.

Today's Lino was adorable <3 and I hope he takes all the time he needs to sort out his thoughts.

daily update: physics paper 2 and 5

Thoughts today: Spent the morning trying to revise Paper 2 by watching videos at 2x speed ahaha and reviewed a past paper from May/June that I had already done before for P5, which made me feel a little unprepared.

We had Paper 2 first, and it went relatively okay? I could at least try to answer all the questions, I just hope that they're right. Paper 5 went pretty meh as well, trying to figure out the subject of the equations did take me some time, plus the second questions had logarithms T-T but it was manageable.

Currently revising AS Organic Chem T-T and going through Enthalpy as well.

Watched the latest SKZ-CODE episode after exams, it was really funny and cheered me up :)) here's a Lino from the ep (his smile is so pretty honestly):

Thoughts today: Today was indeed a grueling study day. Was revising for AS Physics the whole time by finally pulling out all the question tutes that I had printed out like an year and half ago just for this. It helped jog my memory as well.

daily update: physics paper 3

Thoughts today: So tiring T-T out of all the things I'd revised in the morning and the previous day, I forgot how to adjust the boss and stand. Out of all things. That cost me like 20 minutes before I realised I was missing of one of the clamps. Thankfully I completed the paper, but didn't have much time to go through it. I can only hope that my answers were right.

Tried working on AS Chemistry today, but couldn't do as much as I wanted to.
