Japanese Lesson 87

Today,I'm gonna recommend really useful words which is used by a lot of Japanese people.

That is “遊ぶ”.

①Explanation

Spending enjoyable time with close friends is called "遊ぶ".

What exactly you do is not important to use ”遊ぶ“.

You can express anything like , “go to a friend’s house” and “play games” , “have a coffee” , “go shopping” , “play baseball” , “go to karaoke” , ”hang out with partner” and so on.

You can use ”遊ぶ” all the time when it is bother to express what specifically you do.

②Example

1. 母さん遊びに行ってくるわー。

（かあさん　あそびに　いってくるわー。）

Mom! I'm gonna hang out.

2. 会話

A: 昨日何してたん？

　 (きのう　なに　してたん)

　　What did you do yesterday?

B: 昨日は愛美と遊んだよ。

　（きのうは　まなみ　と　あそんだよ。）

　　I had lunch with Manami and went to a park and played tennis.

3.明日遊びに行こうぜ。

（あした　あそびに　いこうぜ。）

　Wanna hang out tomorrow?

　＊In this case, you haven't decided what you want to do tomorrow yet.

google results are just confusing me so i’m asking here: when writing an english name in katakana, e.g. “Jane Doe,” should i write it in the typical english order (「ジェイン・ドー」), or the japanese order (「ドー・ジェイン」)?

wonderful weather, wonderful views, but...

My left knee pained a long time ago is keeping the condition well, so some days ago, I hiked after a long time.

However, I needed to climb while checking the condition of it and maybe I think about possible that my knee gets trouble again during walking so I chose a mountainous in Ura-Takao which is low, safe and it has many escape routes.

I start climbing from the Takaosanguchi station of the entrance to the climbing and I went over Mt.Takao and Mt.Kagenobu to Mt. Jinba for about five hours in wonderful weather but the problem didn't come out at my knee.

After lunch at Mt.Jinba, when I start going down from the summit then I felt my both knees were locked and I can't bend them.

I feel a hard hurt trying to bend my both knees and I can't do to go down the trail normally.

I was climbing down very slowly like a snail to the foot of the mountain while I'm getting the shock that my right knee also broke down.

素晴らしい天気、素晴らしい景色、だったのにねぇ……

以前痛めた左膝の調子が良いので、先日、久しぶりに山登りに出掛けた。

本当に膝は万全なのか、その状態を確認しながら登るつもりだったし、もしかしたら歩いているうちにまた痛くなるかもしれないので、標高が低くて安全でエスケープルートの多い裏高尾の山に行くことにした。

登山口の高尾山口駅から登り始め、高尾山、景信山を越えて陣馬山まで約5時間、素晴らしい天気の中を歩いたが、膝に異常は出なかった。

だけど陣馬山で昼食後、山頂から下り始めるや突然両膝がロックされたようになり、曲げられなくなった。

曲げようとすると強く痛むので普通に下ることができない。

右膝まで壊れたことにショックを受けながら、カタツムリのようにのそのそと麓まで下りていったのだった。
