I was doing some research asking if autistic people can be on the swat team. This is what I found.

Probably not. The reason is the word “liability.”

In the world of law enforcement, the word liability gets thrown around more than brickbats at a Democrat-led riot in a Democrat controlled city just before election time.

If you were even on the edge of any police involved shooting at all, if some private practice attorney found out that you had autism of any kind, he would use that autism like a sledgehammer on you, the police agency that hired you and against the public/prosecutor’s office. He would beat you into the ground with your autism like it was a weapon. Trust me on this next one, any police officer who gets involved in a shooting gets put under a microscope long before a trial. Before you testify, anywhere in a court the defense will know things about you that your mom doesn’t know. Hell, they’ll make up stuff about you and use it against you just to make you and your agency look bad.

What I’m trying to alert you to is that while you have high functioning autism, and that’s a good thing, you could hurt a police agency in ways that you don’t understand if somebody finds out about it.

UNLESS MY PREVIOUS POST HAS A MISTAKE (correct me if it does) then these are the NEW average placements! May seem slightly weird due to 2/5 seasons having 17 members while the rest had 14, causing things like Mumbo to be lowest despite always dying AFTER Jimmy and Jimmy’s placement being lowered despite finally breaking his curse. Double Life was NOT 7 as I just put whoever took the fatal damage one place below their soulmate, like 14th is Jimmy 13th is Tango. I listed how many of the 5 seasons they’ve participated in because that sort of thing can affect the averages due to having less data. Let’s see if newcomer Gem can keep up her great starting placement!

As for new changes due to Secret Life. Congrats to Scar! He’s now beating the first winner. Martyn didn’t do so well but he holds a good placement anyways. Most scores only changed by a decimal, and Scott’s didn’t change at all. Pearl has a huge lead over all the others. She’s far too powerful!!! Boat Boys are tied like true soulmates. BigB and Cleo often have really close scores and now they’re tied too. Poor Lizzie has dropped below Jimmy now.

Secret Life was awesome, here’s to more Life Series Seasons in the years to come!

I have literally never met a person who doesn't personify concepts and objects and the estimate that only 4% of people experience Synesthesia seems really baffling to me,,,,like I'm reading a paper on the overlaps between OS, Autism, and Synesthesia (What bitches do when they have access to academic documents instead of doing work) and just. Even (identifying) Non-objectum, non-autistic people literally do this shit all the time. When my father brought down Sario (Old laptop) he used he/him pronouns for him. My uni friend naturally uses she/her pronouns for their PC. We've had really high note arguments here about whether Maths is blue or red (I'm on team blue btw) and whether Wednesdays and the number 2 are orange. It is literally a social English language norm to refer to vehicles and countries with she/her pronouns. Surely this shit has to be more common than 4% of the general population.

Even going by currently suggested DID statistics...

1% of the known worlds population is Autistic.

1.5% of the known worlds population has DID.

Autism is more rare than DID. People are aware autistic people exist and there's a good amount of them. I've met numerous other autistics irl multiple times (We are autistic too). So who's to say any one person hasn't met numerous DID systems.

Additionally DID is considered to be underdiagnosed and in many places in the world Autism is also underdiagnosed. In the USA, 1 in 36 children have autism. That is ~2.78% of people with that disorder. It would also reasonably follow that the amount of pwDID if it became as properly understood as autism is slowly starting to become and people have enough awareness to try and get assements and/or therapy/care/etc. for it- the numbers will start to go up as well.

Also you have to take into account the very nature of the disorder. DID is often incredibly covert- systems without the covertness might be diagnosed sooner than systems whoa re incredibly covert like us if they have no awareness of what DID is. We had to seek out someone to even consider us having it because we are covert- we had to self diagnosis first to then go and access care because we would have seemed fine otherwise because of amnesia for all the episodes and issues we do have. We had to learn of things and learn to write down issues/track them or we would fully forget. Learning about first plurality and eventually DID is what helped us manage to eventually begin the treatment we personally needed and wanted for what was bothering us.

I do find it really strange how Autism has far more visibility than systemhood despite being less common, and yet fakeclaiming of ASD doesn't exist at nearly the same level as it does for DID and OSDD.

ugh. my father insists on telling the family group chat whenever i take a lil half-step towards being a functional adult. "oh, ella is learning how to drive in the snow! also, did you know that shes taking a class to become a pharmacy technician?" dad im 25. your next youngest daughter is starting a master's program. shut the fuck up, not everyone needs to know i couldnt drive in the snow until now

Some correlations between my HRT with testosterone and some neurodivergent aspects/struggles.

(I made that one in German and did not translate it yet.)

The plots:

- R is sensory problems - noise is far louder than before I started T. My sensory filters are very poor. I need to put conscious mental effort to "detangle sensory stimuli". The tactile sense/feeling touch and stings is reduced. (I feel far less if someone touches me. I do not even feel the needle of my insuline pump when I have to apply it - which I usually felt. (It felt awful and gave me meltdowns btw. So this is actually a good side-effect of this.))

- T is clumsyness problems (and my tendency to be ambidextrous) Left-right-distinction problems are included in this category as well.

- K is concentration/focus and hyperactivity problems

- S is speaking problems [primarily problems with phonetics, such as difficulty regulating speed, volume, clearness; ...sometimes also word finding difficulties due to overwhelming many ways how to convey the same message in all different kinds of ways (plus too many synonymes)]

- Sy is synaesthesia - sounds turn into sorts of function plots/fractals in my imagination. (Some techno is really like epileptic-seizure-inducing flashlights and I really hate it.) - additionally, this one makes it even more difficult to process visual as well as acoustic information simultaneously - before testo this problem was already present, but now it is really noticable.

- D is depression (primarily this category only has the symptom of low mood, hopelessness, severe sadness listed) > This one went away almost entirely throughout the months.

- The problem of processing spoken language and noise simultaneously is also worse. It's like my brain is like "only one task at a time...Please wait while we detangle this information knot clot... " (ohh, good pun-ny thought: It's like my mind needs to actively use fourier transform to detangle the information clot...)

Overall, I feel far far better under T, despite the increase of my "neurodivergent struggles". Some/many of the listed "problems" are rather interesting opportunities for me. Much has been tough, but the changes are helping me getting my life together. It feels like my neurodivergent "anomalies in cognitive processing" only got a bit amplified by HRT with testosterone. It is very interesting changes, but they appear and feel right.
