Could the cats make little toys? Like making plushies out of plants or figurines out of rocks and sap or something?
70% of the toys they make are weaved or whittled. I actually made a small scene in the outline (which HOPEFULLY, i keep saying this, should be out Soon TM) of Darkstar's Commandment where she creates a wicker ball as a gift for Reedshine
^^^ These are willow balls! If you have access to willow trees, you can make these really easily. For Clan cats, it's a sign that you're a really good weaver, and making these is a big favor because they're naturally quite brittle.
These are the basis of the famous "mossball." Pure moss doesn't keep its shape if you kick it around; a wicker skeleton is stuffed and covered with moss so it doesn't hurt if it bonks you in the face. Usually, these are just kept in a pile somewhere any anyone can go grab and use one for games.
You can customize a ball for a specific person by sourcing some leather or linen, and then sewing it around the skeleton. WindClan has the market cornered on this sort of thing because of how many rabbits they hunt, but for RiverClan, SkyClan, and ShadowClan, pelts and flax are pretty valuable and not typically wasted on crafting good mossballs.
(SkyClan in particular is more likely to just trade kittypets for their excess toys.)
Even the best Clan cat artisans only whittle the sorts of figurines we might associate with small children. They're sharp-edged, simple, and look a lot like these;
They don't have "polish" figured out yet, so nothing they make looks "smooth." Some cat's going to figure out that they can rub the edges against the nearby exposed sandstone, but I'd leave that for a bit of a "genius" like Dustpelt or his mentor One-Eye to figure out.
They can also be made out of clay, but that's more common in RiverClan and WindClan where wood is scarce.
Figurines are often directly commissioned by deputies and senior warriors for use in strategizing, ESPECIALLY in WindClan where they have a history of needing to "visualize" the various parts of their open moor in battle plans. They can be simple toys, but these can get pretty elaborate as it's seen as a bit of a status symbol if the deputy's "pawn" of you is fancy.
Basically, it means you're important enough to be frequently included in battle plans, so much that YOUR pawn is customized. These will often be buried with the warrior, or passed down to their living descendants.
Figurines show up a lot in "channeling." The illegal, direct method of summoning the dead by bypassing StarClan. They aren't "consumed" by the ritual like more organic tokens, so someone who does a ton of channeling of a specific spirit will often end up crafting one of these.
There's various other toys too, but they're generally not soft or stuffed. Clan cats don't have "plushies," since they require a LOT of textiles and sewing which they can't experiment freely with.
And to close out;
Glue is made from animal hide, and is another one of those "high-quality" materials mostly used by artisans and patrol heads.
Making pitch from pine is dangerous; go here for a tutorial on that
Sap's not a great adhesive, but works fine for kittens just having fun.
Whittling, weaving, and molding are the skills usually used to make toys.
Yes, they make toys, and they love to play with them.
Most "crafts" Clan cats make are communally owned, personal belongings are usually very special.

Happy Storyteller Saturday! Which OC would you trust the most to be able to cook a tasty meal? Which OC would you trust the least?
happy STS wasps!
Hmm, I think I’d have to say Aspiration. She might add too much spice for my delicate mouth to handle, but it would be tasty. She likes combining things she finds in Valloroth with infernii cooking, so whatever she made would be interesting, and she’s very used to cooking—or helping to cook—for a whole clan, so there would definitely be a lot of it.
(I’m assigning her god-tier flatbread making abilities now, purely for my own enjoyment.)
As for the least, it’s another infernii and it’s QUEST because that motherfucker CANNOT cook but, unlike Aliyne or Zander, is convinced that they CAN cook. They love bacon that’s entirely charcoal, it adds to the flavour! Much like my irl partner, they can and will put anything even vaguely edible in their mouth, and the list of things they won’t eat is vanishingly small.
(Quest being the Worst Party Cook is a running joke in the Valloroth books)

I will forever be a simp for actress Lexa. She got that limp to a T and the playing with the leaf? *chefs kiss*
Like,,, was this absolutely necessary?
Was it Lexa? Was it?!
She could've easily just stood out of sight behind the massive wall and gate and listened to them talking. Or. She could've just walked in like a normal gd person, considering she's all of 5'5 and a buck ten sopping wet. But no. That was a character choice. It added nothing to her finding out more information.
What did it add tho?
It added 💫pizzazz💫

AMBASSADOR QUESTIONS - OPEN
@saiyanandproud asked: Reputation, Culture, Religion?
“My apologies, Mariko. But Lord Cooler is away at the moment. He is attending a meeting with King Chao of Stifryr, and will not be back for a while. Nevertheless, allow me to answer your questions on behalf of our Lord,” Salza said to the young Earthling, temporarily glancing from his system screen as he regarded her with a nod, before looking back to his work and speaking without any break to his stride.
“I’m almost certain Isa has probably mentioned her home of Arcos to you. The Arcosian race is a proud one, determined to prove their strength above all else. Isa is an excellent example of that, with her skill of diplomacy and political etiquette having vastly improved since she has joined us. She will serve the Planet Trade Organization quite well,” the Brench remarked with a proud tone, gladdened by the growth of his protégé. “And if you are not careful, she will surpass you, Mariko. Even with Lord Cooler’s teachings, an Earthling can only go so far, while an Arcosian can overcome every limitation possible. No race can ever hope to match their power and adaptability.”
He paused only for a moment, fingers clacking against the keyboard as he set a new course for the mothership, before continuing to speak. “From what I learned, their culture and beliefs are quite intertwined. Ancient Arcos once believed in various Gods pertaining to their cold climate and wildlife, but eventually came to regard their ancestors worship of them as barbaric,” though Lord Cooler had never said why, the blond Brench had a sneaking suspicion that his Lord’s ancestors having met with Lord Beerus quickly curbed the notion of their planet being home to any sort of god. Of course, they would never worship a deity outside their planet either. They were much too proud to do that, even if Lord Beerus was the universal God of Destruction.
“Instead, they turned to honoring their ancestors themselves. Veneration of the dead: acknowledging the accomplishments of their ancestor, looking to them for wisdom, and honoring both the living and dead through continuous familial piety. Family on Arcos is considered very sacred, Mariko—to them, everything you do must bring honor your family. To dishonor your clan is shameful, and to slay one’s kin is considered a grievous sin. That is, unless it is your kin who has shamed your family, at which they are either disowned or marked for death. Their name wiped from history. Forgotten through time,” Salza explained, his typing coming to an end as he closed down the screen. He turned from his seat to fully face the young soldier, resting his hands on his knees and turning his amber eyes onto her. “Truthfully, there is more complexity to it that someone outside of Arcos could not fully convey, so it is best if you ask Isa more on the matter. Nonetheless, I hope my answers are satisfactory.”
