Growing up, you and Lucy were inseparable. You followed your older sister around like a puppy, more than happy when she would give you the attention you clearly craved. You worried you were being too clingy, but Lucy didn’t mind, happy to spoil you anyway she can.

When you were old enough to walk, you were old enough to kick balls. And kick balls was exactly what you did. By the time the World Cup came around and your sister was off for Canada, you were already beginning to make your way through national youth teams.

It made sense when you left to pursue college in the states, check off the next box of following in Lucy’s footsteps. The defender simply gave you a goodhearted chuckle when you told her about your acceptance to North Carolina. “Now just don’t get converted into a defender. I’m more than happy to share, but I don’t think the world would be ready for two Bronze defenders.”

You simply made a face at her. You had way too much fun scoring goals to ever consider dropping to the back of the field.

Your first semester abroad passed with a blur. The soccer season came and went, you struggled but passed your classes. Before you knew it, you were on your way home, more than happy to spend Christmas with your family.

For a couple weeks you watch your sister through the screen of your laptop. You were beyond proud when she told you about her plans to play in Lyon, hurrying to buy yourself some merch as quickly as you could. For days leading up to her return home for the holidays, you’re extremely giddy, looking forward to exchanging stories about your times abroad. You’re just about to head for the airport when you get the text.

[I’ll meet you at home. I want to introduce you to someone]

Frowning, you rack your brain, wondering if you missed a conversation or something. You don’t think Lucy’s mentioned anyone special in her life. Ever since Lucy announced her move to France, you made sure to call her at least once a week, in addition to the call you made home to your parents. Your sister has had ample time to tell you about any relationships, but she’s never once said anything of the sorts.

Since you’re already dressed pretty lowkey, you decide to go out for a run. Might as well bide your time until Lucy returns. 

You’re stewing in your thoughts for a while until you catch sight of your sister sitting on the steps of your house when you return. Scanning the area, you don’t catch sight of another person. 

Lucy’s quick to pull you into a hug when she spots you.

“Hi.”

“How long have you been dating this mystery gal?” You cut to the chase, not even returning the greeting.

You’re not even 100% sure that Lucy wants to introduce you to a partner, but your guess is deemed current when Lucy quietly mumbles “About a year or so.”

You click your tongue, frowning slightly. “I’m sorry, I think I heard you wrong. Cause I thought you said ‘a year,’ but that can’t possibly be right, because the two of us were still here last year and you never said anything.”

You’re not sure whether you should feel hurt or not. Lucy’s always the first you told anything to, and you thought it was the same for her too. Maybe you thought wrong.

Lucy nervously shuffles on her feet, dropping her eyes. “I know you can be scary when you meet my girlfriends for the first time. I just didn’t want you to scare her away. I really like her.”

Usually Lucy’s the one scaring your partners away. You could count on one hand the number of times you successfully scared away Lucy’s suitors. She must really like this person to be this nervous about your reaction. 

Glancing over your sister’s shoulder, your eyebrows raise up in surprise when you see the familiar face now hanging by the front door. The side of your lips quirk up. “I can’t tell if you’re being serious or not.”

Lucy’s face drops, mouth parting open to defend both herself and her choice of lover, but you roll your eyes, cutting her off again. 

“I grew up playing on youth teams.” You’re not sure Lucy needs reminding, but the blank stare you receive tells you that maybe she does. You sigh. “Luce, I’ve played with Keira multiple times growing up. I know who she is, you daft.” Not to mention that you went to nearly all of Lucy’s City games when you were still living at home. Sometimes you wonder what goes through that head of hers. Of course you know who Keira is. It would be a bit hard not to. 

Lucy blinks in surprise, quickly craning her head around so she can gesture for Keira to come over, but you push past her pliant body before she can. 

“Hey Keira.” Keira’s always been one of your favorite older girls to play with. She was always so nice and kind whenever you played on the same youth teams. You’re not really sure why Lucy was so worried in the first place.

The midfielder gives you a hug, pulling back to give you a once-over. “Hi! It’s been so long, how’s UNC?”

“Ugh, horrible. I have half a mind to drop out and just come back to play football.”

Lucy whips her head around at lightning speed. “Excuse me?! You will do nothing of that kind--”

“But then Luce would probably blow a gasket so I’ll probably stay over there for a little while longer.”

Keira giggles when your sister gives you an affronted look.

You loop your arm through Keira’s, only pausing long enough to throw Lucy a wink. “So, what embarrassing stories would you like to hear first?”

As a gaylor, I always felt Sweet Nothing was a sad song because the line “all that you ever wanted from me…” is past tense. I found it really interesting that she said publicly that she wrote it with Joe as if to make it sound so romantic when I’ve always viewed it as pretty melancholy. She’s a master with words and getting across the stories that she wants to, and it would have been so easy to write “all that you’ve ever wanted” and make it present tense, but she didn’t. I don’t have any strong opinions about behind the scenes things but I just wanted to say that I can see why hetlors are saying it’s actually sad when no longer believing T & J are in love, I guess

Yes! You can believe this. It’s fine to have this sort of interpretation of any Taylor song. Take one word or tone or twist (in this case it feels past tense) and adjust its meaning away from the most obvious. She does this and we shouldn’t ignore it. So I am fully supportive of you having this interpretation. It’s not my interpretation. But that’s fine!

But more of what I’ve been talking about (and have talked about for years):

She writes songs that almost always have some sort of sad, “haunting” quality about them. But you also have to look at it in complete context. You can’t see evermore as the saddest breakup album of all time and just ignore the existence of Long Story Short and the last verse of Evermore. You can’t only see Maroon and ignore Mastermind and Paris. You shouldn’t ignore all the other context clues we get from her in her performances and videos, interviews, dates she does things, and merch etc… It’s hard to figure her out because she makes it hard. But she does seem to like to give clues that can be obvious but also gives her plausible deniability.

But it’s specifically the blanket retconning that gets me. One day an album comes out and people who believe she’s in a happy long term relationship interpret songs as straightforward happy songs (Lover, Peace, there are so many), while ignoring a song that is devastating like DBATC, Exile or Hoax, or Happiness, and just attribute them to fiction or about a friend or about the distant past or about her masters, but then later when they decide that she wasn’t in such a happy long term relationship like they thought, then they take that inherent sadness and haunting quality and turn it the whole thing into a breakup album, ignoring the fact that she can be singing about fiction or about a friend or about the distant past or about her masters.

The songs haven’t changed, only their perspective changed. I see it over and over and over again. And when this happens over and over and over again, maybe people should take a step back and think A) well maybe all of her love songs have this haunting quality because of a deep basic reason about the situation she finds herself in that no matter how solid a relationship might be, there’s always this THING hanging over it that won’t allow her to just be happy. That thing might be crippling depression, it might be trauma, being in an incredibly complicated situation, it might be fame, she might be gay, or you know ALL OF THE ABOVE. But it doesn’t mean that she’s not basically happy with the muse of that song. Especially in private like described in Sweet Nothing. B) sometimes she writes a song about a devastating moment but it doesn’t mean it’s the end of a relationship moment. C) sometimes she makes a song that’s about something completely unrelatable to a normal person, and she changes it to be about something that is relatable because her job is to sell records. And D) maybe we don’t know everything about her private life and aren’t good at figuring it out through her lyrics because she doesn’t want us to know everything, and so we should approach things using words like “maybe, I think, I could be wrong, here are a few possibilities, who knows?” Etc etc etc instead making our account’s entire personality about being an expert on Taylor swift’s life like you have been there in the room with her during it all.

When I say this I am thinking of a few different specific blogs and TikToks, mostly on the Toe side of the spectrum, but we see it on the gaylor side just as much. I am guilty of it sometimes too (more so in the past I think, but you know I do have strong opinions too and sometimes I unequivocally state them.)

All that being said, I have chosen to take the most straightforward interpretation of Sweet Nothing. It’s about her private home life being an oasis from the craziness of her life outside and one of the best things about her lover is that they don’t want anything from her other than her. It’s “you like me for me” expanded out. I interpret it as she just really really values this “normalness” she gets at home, and that normalness really is something only the muse of this song has been able to give her. And as always, home doesn’t have to be a physical place. And, luckily for us, because it’s from the album midnights that she said is about different midnights throughout life, you can choose to make this scene be happening at any time when she was happy with her lover. It doesn’t need to be the way things were at the moment she sat down to write it. It doesn’t have to be turned into some sort of sad song about the process of breaking up because you believe she broke up with the subject. This is why her writing ever since she sat down to write DBATC, and explained it to us,is so much more interesting to me. She very specifically told us with that song (the last known song written for lover) that she was going to be writing things that can be seen as hypotheticals in the future so we’d better get used to it! Folklore!!! That’s why it’s my pinned post.

Sims Get To Know Me

I put it under a cut because it’s quite long. I didn’t know who to tag because I’m so late to posting this with everything that has been going on. 

What’s your favorite sims death? I never thought of this one... Maybe death by pufferfish nigiri because the ghost has a little pufferfish floating inside them and I think that’s cute because I really like puffer fish (not to eat). I’d love to have a little puffer fish buddy with me in the afterlife.

Alpha CC or MaxisMatch? I lean towards MaxisMatch most in my game but I don’t mind the aesthetic of alpha either. There’s some nice alpha stuff out there.

Do you cheat your sims weight? I have only because no matter what I do, toddlers living on the long lifespan always gain a lot of weight (the calorie system in the game is kinda weird) but outside of that I haven’t (although I never adjusted Fern’s weight when she aged up because I just decided not to for no reason whatsoever).

Do you move objects? Yep! I could not live without it in Sims 4.

Favorite Mod? I don’t have one favorite mod so naming one is difficult. I could not enjoy this game without the majority of mods I have. More Traits In CAS is one of my faves because having those extra traits through the life stages has helped create some depth to my sims’ personalities, at least in my mind. It’s helped to keep my interest in playing longer than a few months.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack? I bought everything in the order it came out for Sims 1, 2, and 3. For Sims 4 (iirc): Get To Work/Outdoor Retreat/Perfect Patio

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing? aLIVE.

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? It’s a tie between Hector and Sophie. (Most of my faves have been born in-game)

Have you made a simself? Yep! Back when it was still just the CAS demo. I don’t have her around anymore though.

Which Sim traits do you give yourself? Social Awkward, Cat Lover, Creative, probably Gloomy too if I’m honest.😅 (But I don’t show that side of me to others, a lot of people think I’m Cheerful. lol)

Which is your favorite EA hair color? That light brown shade that was added around when Snowy Escape came out.

Favorite EA hair? I don’t think I have one.... I have some I don’t care for... I just like that there’s finally a variety of hair types/styles that aren’t just straight hair.

Favorite life stage? I don’t think I have one... I have the most fun when I have a variety of life stages to play (although it can feel overwhelming sometimes).

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? Gameplay. I don’t mind building in Sims 4 but it’s rare when I’m having a good time doing it.

Are you a CC creator? Nope. I tried to recolour the kids’ bicycles and gave up. lol I might try again but I need the time and focus to do it.

Do you have any simblr friends/ a sim squad? I guess it depends on how those are defined since people define them differently. I do know a lot of really awesome people on here who I enjoy interacting with though. 🙂

What’s your favorite game? Right now it flips between Sims 4 and Genshin Impact. Used to also be Overwatch, which I still enjoy on occasion, but not as much as I used to.

Do you have any sims merch? Nope.

Do you have a YouTube for sims? Nope. I have the charisma of a wilted lettuce.

How has your « sims style » changed throughout your years of playing? I went from creating haunted houses in TS1 to playing legacy style in Sims 2 and beyond (and creating a haunted house by more ethical means). I only ever managed to finish one legacy family to 10 generations and that family will forever be lost somewhere on Live Journal as it should be. (I have a picture chart of all their faces though.)

What’s your origin id? Simbico but I don’t have anything worth looking at on there. It’s usually for my own backups.

Who’s your favorite CC creator? It’s hard because I have so many I like and not just one favorite. 😭 But RavenSim is one of my many favorites because their hair helps make my sims’ infants/toddlers/kids even cuter!

How long have you had simblr? According to my first Sims 3 post, at least since 2011 but I did abandon it for a long time. I was so happy seeing some familiar simblrs still posting when I came back. 😊

How do you edit your pictures? I used to use Photoshop but now I just use Reshade. I use a really old version of Photoshop from 2012 for cropping and stuff but I tend to not do much more than that. I don’t have the time with the amount of pictures I take. lol

What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite? TS1 - Makin’ Magic | TS2 - Open For Business | TS3 - Pets | TS4 - Growing Together, maybe tied with Country Living (the EP that kept bringing me back).

Get to know you: Sims Style

Thank you to @executables-sims for the tag! Took me a few days, but this was fun to fill out.

What’s your favorite Sims death?

Easy, death by Cowplant! It's so iconic and peak Sims-ridiculousness. That it made its way into future games is no surprise. Plus, I don't have a ton of accidental death in my game, and the Cowplant keeps me on my toes.

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

Maxis Match as much as possible. I love TS2's aesthetic, even is some of it appears dated. My game certainly looks better in 2023 than it did in 2004, but it is still recognizably TS2

Do you cheat your sims weight?

No, I let it happen organically. Especially because I use Simler90's Slower Fitness Increase and Nopke's Fitness Decay, both of which really make you work for it. They are essential to my gameplay, but mean more of my sims have a high body skill than is probably normal. They are doing their best!

Do you move objects?

Of course. Why it isn't enabled in my UserStartup file is a question I ask myself daily.

Favorite Mod?

I have more than 500 mods so I don't know how I can pick. I could just say NUMENOR in all-caps to say everything he's done. But I'll go with a recent favorite, Nyami's Actual Alcohol Mod, because it adds chaos to gameplay and chaos is good.

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?

Living. We are in Live Mode, folks!

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

In an older prompt, I answered with Daniel Monona, but since then it's definitely been Duke Patricio. I've made him 3 times (in my OG 2000's game, where he married Nina Caliente, in a Base Game Starter hood, and again in my 2020's game). He and Zeeshan are my favorite couple and I'm sad they are so close to old age because I've had so much fun playing them (but I've also been giving them way too many extra days with Elixir of Life or Life Fruit).

Ari is #2, but I haven't played him for a bit because I'm stuck on what to do with him as a Vampire...

Have you made a simself?

Nope, only one of my old TS2 Exchange avatar, which was intentionally not what I look like.

Which is your favorite EA hair color?

Never really thought about this, but maybe black?

Favorite EA hair?

Two male hairs, Rocker and Shortmop. Those two haircuts were iconic in my 2000's saves. Jeanette is my favorite CC hair.

Favorite life stage?

Teens. It's where my sims start to develop their personalities, and I begin to think about what I want them to do. They also haven't fully grown into their facial features yet, so you can get all sorts of good and bad surprises. Plus, they can cause lots of of trouble.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

I still consider myself a builder, even though I play my game much more frequently these days. But I think 400+ uploaded lots in my time playing this game allows me to hold onto that label.

Are you a CC creator?

I guess so! Learning how to mesh and use Milkshape in the last year has radically changed how I see myself in the TS2 community, and has stolen so many days from me (the trial and error of making, and the trial and error of uploading), but its been a very fun skill to develop.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?

I love my mutuals but I don't interact with other accounts too often. I don't post on a Sims discord or anything. Maybe I should?!

Do you have any sims merch?

I do not.

Do you have a YouTube for sims?

No and I would definitely not have time to produce one!

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

Loaded question time! For one, my game is much more LGBTQ+ than when I shared neighborhood save files with my siblings growing up. Now that it's my game, exploring different relationships with my sims is one of my favorite parts of play.

I've also become much more Maxis Match as I get older. The 2000's were a wild west for CC creation, and my old saves are bursting at the seams with painted-on clothes and the mid-decade emo aesthetic that I have absolutely no interest in playing in 2023.

Lastly, my build style used to be modern and CFE heavy, but now I prefer traditional (modern works better in TS3) and makeovers.

Who’s your favorite CC creator?

I'll take a historical approach to answering this, because there are many active creators whose work I love, but I also try to preserve the legacies of the original TS2 pioneers. Here are 5:

Numenor - The Modfather. His mods did more to expand this game than just about anyone in the heyday of TS2. If you are reading this, you know who Numenor is. Need I say more? Windkeeper - Probably the best Maxis Match CC of the old era. Her stuff holds up remarkably well. en7en - aka "That Pagoda Guy." Yeah, he's the CFE genius who made the Eiffel Tower and disappeared way too soon. A huge inspiration on my old build style. Ehaught58 - one of the great builders across many different Sims eras. I need to upload some of his old TS2 lots. I wish I could still access his Exchange page because it was a treasure trove. His lots were often huge and unfriendly to old machines but would be fine now. A very recognizable build style (dark woods, earth tones). Daihtnaoz7 - If he did nothing but discover CFE he'd still be a legend. But he also wrote the single bridge, double bridge, and atrium tutorials, demonstrating how to best take advantage of this new cheat. A literal gamechanger. I paid tribute to him here.

Honorable mentions: Cyclonesue (TSR), Hatshepsut (TSR), Tiko (TSR), PiaNouka (Exchange), GoddessByline (Exchange), Wintermuteai1, Minideidad (Exchange), Cireking213 (Exchange, still around as CK213 for TS3 and TS4).

How long have you had Simblr?

I think I made this in Spring 2020. Right as COVID was shutting everything down, I found myself playing TS2 a lot more and eventually discovered Simblr. The old, big sites are either shells of their former selves (MTS), or don't allow TS2 content anymore (TSR), so I figured if I wanted to be active in the TS2 community nearly 20 after the game came out, I had to be on Tumblr.

How do you edit your pictures?

I have a Photoshop action that crops, brightens, and sharpens, and somehow pictures still take me way too long.

What expansion/gamepack is your favorite?

Answering for the first 3 games (as I haven't played TS4)

TS1 - Makin Magic! A perfect final EP for the first game. Though Unleashed was probably my very first EP. TS2 - University (I'm in the minority here, but it's so much fun when you have big dorms or chaotic houses). Seasons is #2 TS3 - Late Night. Bridgeport is gorgeous and the new lot styles were fun and I wish they could be ported in TS2.

went to a show for the first time since neutral milk hotel in 2014. so it's literally been 10 years, not counting places where bands were playing in the background or that i was dragged to and didn't care about or like, raves. it was very interesting, i learned a lot. some observations

it's not that loud. my speakers at home can almost get that loud. i was right next to the speakers, too. i was also right next to some girls. the girls were way louder than the bands. girls can scream really loud, huh? so powerful.

it's a losing game to try to dance to shoegaze, but, other people clearly don't care about the drums as much as i do. they literally don't dance to the drums. i thought that's what sort of set the pace and style of dancing

i guess, unless it's very interesting in some other way, i need music to be kinda fast to enjoy it live. this was like normal alternative rock music and i was trying to dance and the fact that literally nothing happens musically was really messing me up. it's interesting that most normal alt rock sort of pauses the music part to allow us to hear someone singing lyrics written in the 1,000 most common english words. i don't usually listen to this sort of thing so it was sort of extraordinary to hear it.

girls love music. there were like a million hot girls there and it wasn't even like a girly band, i was under the impression it was an internet band for internet boys. and they weren't just with their boyfriends, they were with other girls. or alone. or lesbians. inspiring

kids love music. there were a bunch of teenagers there, i'm pretty sure. two people behind me looked like, 14. they acted 14 also. they seemed confused and were constantly asking each other about why things were the way they were. 'why are there people like, right up front...' one said weakly. i almost answered some of their questions, but i decided to just keep listening in

you have to go early if you want merch or to be in the pit or to see the band. i basically knew this but it's good to confirm. also how you open up a pit at this kind of show is a mystery to me but if i was in there i definitely would have moshed

i mostly focused on spying on other people, not the bands. one group of girls next to me were so excited for these middle aged rock men, it sort of filled me with awe. they were screaming and everything. for normal alt rock men. i think that's beautiful. another pair of friends were talking about being autistic and how they were bored and should have brought stim toys. hot girls. hot girls were talking like this. i may need to go out more often

i did try flirting with some girls by getting in the merch line and then offering them my spot since i didn't want merch. i was going to do this to the hottest girls that walked past, but then i realized i would defintiely have to tap them on the shoulder to get their attention, so i decided to give it to the hottest trans girls that walked past, so as not to cause an international incident. indeed, the pair of trans girls i picked needed to be shoulder tapped to get them to talk to me, and they did not seem happy about it. i think they didn't realize i was trans, i must have just looked like a creepy gynecomastia band guy. i did wear a band t-shirt and cargo pants and boots. the type of girls i want to flirt with and hang out with would be nice to creepy guys, anyway, though, so i chose wrong. nevertheless, i told them they were beautiful, which was true, and left to go up to the stage.

something extraordinary happened towards the end of the show. everyone was filming with their phones, and as you know, the most notable things tend to happen at the end of shows. like, songs everyone's excited about, or whatever. the finale. so, when the band began playing a certain song, everyone got out their phones, held them up high, and began filming. of course, i was surrounded entirely by women. who all simultaneously lifted their arms... perfume and deodorant can't cover up all body odor after one has been dancing (or, at least, standing sweatily) for more than an hour. i smelled something incredible. it might have been all worth it for this.

I think I didn't really give concrete definition on this. Though that's because I thought at the beginning that it wouldn't have a lot of artwork with similarities and differences so I thought this would probably go fast, but when I realized that there is actually quite a lot I thought that I should basically just call this a project after all. As for the sources of all these I can tell you that all of these artworks are pretty much official from the obvious stock artwork that people have seen so many times and that are easy to find to the ones that you probably see for the first time. So I'm gonna break this into pieces regarding these artworks, aside from the usual ones we already know about:

-Some artworks come from magazines and books, hence why you are able to find rare artwork there and there are probably unseen artwork still that didn't probably seen light of the day as well

-Artwork exclusively from doll boxes, usually rare ones being CGI/3D artwork of girls in their s3 main/casual outfit and more

- Secret of the lost kingdom CGI/3D artwork/stock artwork from Secret of the lost kingdom Artbook, which is super rare since the books is pretty much super rare as well

-Artwork that was edited by 4kids/Nickelodeon that being either longer top for Bloom in Magic Winx form (4kids) and/or Nicckelodeon covering girls stomachs in Magical Winx as well usually seen on Nick's DVD and Book covers

-Artwork from Pomotional images, hence the changes seen in final artworks that are stock arts

Other things:

-Same poses being used with different outfits, some have slightly positioned arm/s or leg/s

-Same poses with same outfits just being redesigned (example: stock art of season 4 Believix and (polished) season 5 Believix art work)

-Girls sharing few poses as well

-Color differnces in unfinished and final design of artworks

-Some artworks for some seasons that are very rare/hardly seen over the years: Couture Artwork of Sirenix: There is previously seen Bloom coloring page of Couture Sirenix art which is without color and there are colored versions (Bloom, Stella and Flora) of course used for merchandise, same goes with couture artwork of casual outfits of season 5, they exist and were seen before it's just hard to find them.

Seeing how badly sothis/byleth get treated by intsys makes me feel really badly for them and their fans. I thought self inserts were meant to fawn over the player but instead I see the company retcon them, replace, and low but high key shitting on them. I don’t think I would ever see this with characters like Link or Persona or the little pokemon kids so I’m not sure what intsys is trying to tell us about sothis/byleth if this what we see done to them, “they’re just a mindless beast”

As I realised thanks to talking and exchanging with people around and after years of discourse...

Fodlan suffers from "self-insert worship" but in a batman 5D chess gambit, from doylist wise, "player worship". Earl Grey must sell, thus the character who always loves the player and was made, designed, as the player's love-interest (Billy's), Supreme Leader's worship takes the cake.

As already pointed out, Fodlan games try their damnest to erase or not give any figs about Flamey, the "War" is just a background buzz and units are on snow class, and if something is to blamed for the destruction and deaths caused by the war it's deflected on the mole people, "Church/Kingdom BaD because they don't offer their heads on a platter" or the world and its systum - and the worst offender, on "crusts", aka, blood from a genocided race that mingled with "humanity" and is used as the scapegoat for everything wrong in the world. The "alien blood" is to blame and the real responsible for why Miklan tried to seduce people who didn't want to be seduced, or why classicism exist.

I exaggerate a bit, Heroes tried to poke holes at this smokescreen and it ended up with Supreme Leader running away from Lissa (the most persuasive character in the franchise?) because, hey, in her verse, no one told her 1+1 = 2, or no one she couldn't introduce to Aymr I guess.

(of course we have the lol!supports from the besf, but any opposition is resolved with a teaspoon in the following supports, there's no disagreement nothing, it's always "and John realised off-screen Supreme Leader was right and he was wrong", ultimate kuddos to the Ferdie support though, the biggest joke - but again, FE16's supports kind of suck).

With that in mind, Billy was always intended to be the SS Lord, and to opposed Supreme Leader (that's the gravitas and main steak served when you order Fodlan : "u will feel bad bcs u turn against ur precious student sad uwus").

And yet, not to prevent the irl players from, idk, buying Supreme Leader merch or routes or being engaged, even if it's through foolish fan-faction wars, Billy takes a backseat as Nopes fully embrace the core of the Fodlan games : Hresvelg Tea.

Player must feel bad for siding against Supreme Leader - so Supreme Leader must somehow be right, and make people at least some of them surface-level wonder if the ends justify the means, right?

Billy, when they are their character and not a self insert UI, thus must bow down to this rule - everything must be thrown in a blender so Supreme Leader's steak will look appetising, even if you have to destroy the tastiest risotto ever done in the process.

Rhea cannot have spotlight else we will be in a Lissa situation again - so if she has any, it'll play in the red herring already debunked 10 chapters ago "Church BaD Rhea BaD maybe she should have ruled over the world instead of letting HuMaNiTy rule itself". In Nopes? Conveniently, Uncle pops up so Rhea's goal changes, and she will prefer to save the world instead of putting the person who wants her out of Fodlan by tomorrow morning because her ears are pointy to the sword.

Dimitri? "BaD" as long as he wants to kill Supreme Leader, but when he'll become the Saviour King, he'll try to spare her and regret having to kill her - fuck to Baldo, Waldi, and the "creatures masquerading as humans" I guess - in FE16 ; in Nopes, he'll also join the "Church BaD" gang, thus isn't "really" opposing Supreme Leader, right?

And Billy? Well, Barney's existence is their nemesis, so to prop Barney they should shit on Billy, right?

But to shit on them to this point - throwing them with the other Nabateans in Nopes in the "dgaf" trashcan but also, confirming the worst theories from FE16 (Jerry's not the best dad ever) hurts. Billy was, this time, sacrificed to make place for the new self-insert, but also, imho, to showcase how the damn space lizards are evil (and not only because we're playing an agarthan game/route, but also because it checks a certain someone's agenda).

So while I think it's less something of "the devs hate Billy" it's more like "the devs want you to buy Hresvelg Tea".

I am of the opinion that Cody and Satori are extremely sus and I would like more debunking before I will believe they are real. If they are not frauds they should be willing to do more experiments, so I guess we will see. I think the next move is on them tbh, they are being called out, now we wait and see what they do and how they respond, the way they do both these things will give us an answer I think.

However I do not believe Sam and Colby are in on it at all, their reactions are too genuine for me to believe that so if Cody and Satori are scam artists/fakers then in my eyes SnC got played just as much as their audience.

Also in relation to your comments about 'deleted messages' the disappearing comments that you speak of have been explained as certain algorithms that come with certain sites, especially youtube any posts with links in for example, the youtube algorithm will automatically delete as ironically youtube has measures to protect against bots posting scams and things like that, often posts with links or certain words the site automatically erases.

Plus we know SnC don't really read the comments on youtube videos anymore (especially Colby) as they have stated as such in interviews they've gotten to the point where they just can't do it anymore which is actually really sad. So any deletions on that platform not related to the algorithm have probably been done by a member of their team whose job is likely to manage their youtube socials and keep it positive so will erase anything too negative.

The one place I've seen them interacting with comments about the series regularly has been on Instagram, everywhere else they appear online for a very limited amount of time and maybe reply to one thing each. I've not seen disappearing comments on these other platforms myself but feel free to tell me I'm wrong.

I will say I suspect they probably ignore a lot of the comments calling Cody and Satori out because a lot of them go about it in a very negative and unfriendly way which a person can only take so much of. So maybe we'd get more of a response from them on this topic if we were not so aggressive on the topic, and approached it more as a friendly debate I dunno.

But yeah, my two cents after seeing your last anon reply which seemed to imply you thought SnC were in on it all.

Like i said, they're choosing to push the whole "this is a life-changing thing" narrative, knowing very well it's a fraud. First episode was released in theaters, they got huge sponsorship moneys plus the entire series gives off "the new & improved conjuring house management" advert. Anyone with two brain cells can see this is a business deal involving a lot of money and legal documentation and nobody's gonna give statements, address anything or explain themselves unless it's prearranged and benefits both sides.

hogging this ask to share my opinions on the barbie film which i had promised i'd do!

i only watched it once so obv i'm gonna catch a lot more in subsequent viewings and might even change my opinion on some things but

at first view what impressed me the most were the production and costume designs! the barbieland set and the barbies' outfits are really impressive and fucking awesome, they helped a lot in the immersive nature of the film and to sell the premise. the commitment to the rules of the doll universe was fucking stellar, the walking on tiptoes, her floating down to the car, there not being any actual liquids or food

and like okay. the plot. phewwwwwww. it's metamodern and i get it, and while it certainly was Extremely self-aware it often seemed like said self-awareness was being actualized by someone with a very specific, not necessarily privileged but oftentimes limited, worldview. for example, america ferrera's speech was great but didn't it feel like feminism 101? i thought the film was going to commit to some more radicalized notions, i guess lmao

but i don't want to judge it based on my expectations, let me judge it for what it is! something that i have to give it credit for is the critic given to barbie dolls themselves, especially the ones from sasha (maybe it's bc i'm zillenial so i've been her lol). i wasn't expecting the film to open that discussion and that gave it a turning point that i think was much needed. what i will say is that i think too much importance was given to the historical significance of barbies lol ("you set feminism back 50 years you fascist!") but i think that's a given since the movie was produced by mattel iself

all of this not to say that i didn't like the movie! i did it was great i laughed a lot! sometimes its self-awareness bothered me for how "biased" it was but most of the time the film really benefitted from it in its comedy! depression barbie made me HOWL lmao, and the kens serenating the barbies with an acoustic guitar gave me war flashbacks bc literally what woman hasn't been there, stuff like that

and. it did make me cry lol. the final scene when barbie is talking to ruth handler and finally understands what it's like to be human and more specifically a human woman really touched me bc it was a commentary on the personal. it wasn't getting at broad social subjects, it was all about internal conflict and acceptance. reminded me of the epiphany scene from soul and the parking lot scene from everything everywhere all at once. i feel like metamodern films rely a lot on these self-referential and social commentaries, but are also slowly walking towards looking inwards a lot, and that means so much to me. the examples i've observed so far in cinema are fucking beautiful, i hope it's here to stay

Almost everyone in your family knew that you were obsessed on a otome game called 'Obey me' but your friends knew almost to nothing about your little obsession on it.

To be honest you just found that game on an Instagram ad and things just kinda went on. And maybe on the fact that you can't really choose in between the characters so you just simp on all of them.

You were such a big fan that your room is almost filled to the brim with all of it, from merch to body pillows. You just can't help that you were inlove with them in almost 3 years.

While we're in this topic, the game seems to stop update since 2 years ago and not to mention about that they have a Twitter account but they don't post anything.

Well it was weird in your page but who are you to even argue? Even when there's no more updates, you still find your self playing the same events, lessons, collecting in the game.

"Mc! Mc!!!" Your mother called downstairs .

"Coming!!" You answered back.

Well you hurriedly come downstairs only to find your mother giving you a dead pan face.

"You said you won't ever forget to buy groceries now are you?" Your mother said to you.

Now your starting to worry about your current state, you were so engrossed playing that you almost forgotten about them.

"I'll be back!" You quickly grab the money that was supposed to be the money for the groceries and grabbed the list if things you were going to buy.

It almost seem like a second but you were now here in the supermarket and grabbed all of the necessary things to buy.

After all of that you were now walking to your house and now that you were thinking, since when did it all got dark? You guessed this was normal because you were probably in the market for too long to even notice.

While you were walking, you felt you phone vibrate and it was from obey me! Your just shocked because the game just updated. You were so engrossed in your phone that you didn't notice you were walking in a forest now.

You finally realized you were in the forest because there seems to be no lamp post. There was always lamp posts on your way back your home but this time there weren't.

Now you were scared so you quickly pulled to check your phone for signal and as you guessed, there was none. Now you decided to walk in different locations cause I guess that was the best option for today.

Finally after what almost felt like an hour, you finally saw some road lights with some people. But before you even go there, you felt your self fall down.

I read your take on the MV and your take on Xarry both of which are certainly thought through and well argued. I've always believed (well, since solo Harry launched) that Xarry and BG as similtaneous stunts were part of the set up for solo H. And BG (and the rump of Xarry) are still a stunts for solo H because the only people who benefit from BG are the assholes manipulating Harry's image. I don't see much interest in Louis or his career on your blog so please forgive me if you're no longer a Larrie, but assuming you are, the thing that's always shocked me and has over the years pushed me to the edge of the fandom, is that even Larries who can see what happened and is happening are still playing the roles allotted to us. We're obsessed about and revelling in the Harry brand created by the very people Harrys exposing to rake in maximum revenue, whether harry likes it or not and we give the HS brand all the support and crazed loyalty and $ that Sony and Jeff could have dreamed off way back when they were planning it all out. While Louis, who's been fighting for his professional life all this time against the same basic power bloc and people, is judged and condemned and periodically boycotted BY US for things like BG which are no more in his control than Harry's. We do EXACTLY what the industry wants. Harrys condeming us too. Maybe we should listen to what he's trying to say. Whenever Larries threaten to stop spending on Harry™️ unless things change for HL, sometimes it works, like suddenly Louis got to release Walls just before they needed us for FL or maybe Harry gets some slack. As Larries, shouldn't we KNOW that Harry desperately wants us to help Louis who he adores, with all our might instead of ignoring or trying to punish him. Do we think he wants us instead to boycott Louis for having to stunt, and eagerly help Jeff and Rob Stringer use him (Harry) relentlessly, as we have been doing? First off, I am a bit surprised you’d say it seems like I don’t care much about Louis, because i am so fucking in love with this human it’s not even funny anymore (like, literally, I don’t know what to do with myself, it’s like a stupid crush) and I’m very very much a larrie. But you are right, I guess, I don’t blog about Louis from a visual point as much as I do about Harry, I guess I do that more on Twitter, I never noticed.

To your ask: thank you for the compliment about my posts! But I disagree with a lot you’re saying, actually.

Especially with Louis recently saying that the split was sort of surprising to him and he genuinely thought they‘d get back together much earlier, I don’t see Xarry & bbg to be a set up for solo Harry. I don’t think Louis would have gone through with bbg if it wasn’t to make a coming out for Harry within the band and close proximity to himself happen. To me the reason why they did xarry and bbg was precisely bc H&L were so publicly linked via 1D that they couldn’t have Harry come out as bi or whatever without risking to our Larry in the process.

And you see that they did a 180* turn as soon as the solo management contract with the azoffs was signed. So if you go along with that, your reasoning has some logical holes.

Another point is that I don’t like is that you say „we“ a lot - I don’t see myself in the we. I don’t go and throw money (= reward ) at anything Harry does. I don’t eat it up the way harries do. I am, in my opinion, quite the opposite. I am vocal about everything that’s happening online, and in person, show up to support Harry in person where I can and trying to avoid spending an unjustified amount of money. I own one piece of second hand Harry merch. So, I don’t agree. There’s a big part of the fandom that sees through it and is vocal about it, and they know and they see that. Why else do you think Harry would’ve made the music video the way he did if he didn’t think at least some people would get it??

Also I certainly am not boycotting anything from Louis, and I don’t actually know anyone personally who does, only hear stories about someone knowing someone, so idk, maybe you just surround yourself with the wrong people in the fandom. I show up for Louis, and show him my support, I organised a wholes freaking fan project for him, the @louislovebook, and honestly - when I met him and he pointedly said something about what I was wearing (and it happened to someone else that week, too) it cemented that he appreciates us larries and appreciates us showing up and showing our support for them.

i only wonder this because, i think about everything that is singularly unique about their circumstance, and taylor’s in particular, where she has probably hundreds of blacklisted stalkers and actual criminals that have tried to break in to her properties, i think about how she said she keeps military dressing (bandages) with her at all time in case she is attacked, i think about that part in miss americana where she had to go up against her father and management and i think about how so many republican fans of hers burned her cds and merch after she took a political stance, i think about every weirdo i’ve ever seen in her comments on twitter or instagram etc and all the weirdos i ran into on TSL, like i’m talking dudes that think they are the reincarnation of christ and taylor is their wife given to them by god (yes there was a person who was like this) or dudes that think she is the antichrist, and i think about even without the closeted angle she has an incredible burden of anxiety, and a drive for perfection, and i think about a handful of other things and just how… how, while yes there were children and parents in both the Lover and The Man music videos, i really wonder if, had taylor come out during lover era, if she would have had the magically positive reception needed for her personally to feel safe and secure enough to start a family. like i think it’s entirely possible that whatever resolve she may have had could have changed upon the reality of being a super public and divisive figure again.

…an age old question that people often ask themselves or one another is “if you could go back and do things differently, would you change anything?” and i think, well at least in my experience, this kind of thought experiment vastly *viscerally* changed for me after my first kid was born. i think about all the tiny moments in my life where if x hadn’t happened, i wouldn’t have met or i wouldn’t have married my partner, i might have done different things or ended up with other people. and for a time in my life it was fun to think about the different me’s i could have been. but now, thinking about it as a parent, every one of these split second decisions that led me to here give me the chills. as humans our children are truly handed to us on gossamer threads that can be broken so easily. as for me, my kid is connected to me because i grabbed a flier from a person on the street one time, or because i summed up the nerves to ask for a phone number, for example. one tiny thing and poof, your kids never happen, or different kids happen. perhaps it depends on the person but… these days i would absolutely not change a thing if it meant i would never meet my kids.

so is life. but, i don’t know and… i apologize for the weirdly sentimental or heavy pondering but, i don’t know, over the past year i have grown to feel a certain similar sentiment about, *gestures broadly*, all this, and that is only to say that, speaking in broad strokes, i often… sometimes i feel like i am beginning to see silver linings, or, possibilities that there is a kind of fulfillment for them that—while not public facing, not something we get to observe—has no real match in a kind of alternate timeline that is often… often held up as the correct thing or the aspirational thing or the desirable thing or the deserved thing and… yeah. i dunno but, i guess i am just trying to see the gains because some days i feel as if this whole situation is seen for how much more awful it is that it should be had they done xyz. i see taylor or karlie go hard with their stuff and while there are external implications at times i have just sort of seen it as them casting a barrier shell over something that they’ve found that is worth protecting. to them. doesn’t mean it’s fair. doesn’t mean it’s just. doesn’t mean it’s interactively fun. but yeah. i tend to imagine that it means they are a little more at ease for forever what reason, and on a micro level, i can respect that and i can feel compelled to leave a light on, so to speak.

Long good-bye, my honey - Requiem 15. Sprout [Summary]

Having been stabbed by Vansheld, Strauss attacks him and pushes him away. Vansheld thinks about how strong Strauss is, even after sustaining such a deep wound. Lucia worriedly says Strauss' wound is really deep, but Strauss says it will disappear shortly. He then turns to Lucia.

"It's quite strange. I thought of you all as nothing but servants, but now I find myself reluctant to part with you. At the very least, let me see you off in your final moments." 

While this is happening, we see Rise holding Rose's hand. 

At the abyss, the small Hollow Reaper looks at a ruined building with plants growing around it, and sends Lucia their thanks.

Strauss tells Lucia that she has served him well. We enter a small flashback. In some back alley, Strauss approaches Lucia, lying on the ground. He asks why she killed "him". She says the guy attacked and killed his younger brother, alongside other children. They're all pieces of garbage who deserve to die. The world should be made to be so more beautiful, for the sake of her brother, who will be born again someday. Strauss gets down on one knee and says that fools never disappear. Even with his powers, the world is in such a terrible state. He says he likes Lucia, so he'll give her a new life and the power to get rid of evil beings. Back in the present, Lucia starts to disappear. She thinks about how even though Strauss hates the world so much and suffers from it, his heart is overflowing with emotion. The abyss is changing. 

Nocturne attacks Strauss, but he dodges it. Delacroix slashes him with his scythe, but only barely. Strauss asks if that's how Delacroix is welcoming him, and attacks him using the spikes of his wings. Vansheld screams for “Delac”. We see that Nocturne shielded him. With his back and neck all pierced, he says he's glad Delacroix is fine and slips onto the ground. Delacroix is shocked as he screams for "Noc". 

Still lying on the ground, Vansheld thinks about how nobody can beat Strauss, how he seems to have no weak points. Behind him, a currently-nameless Hollow Reaper stands next to the unconscious twins, telling Vansheld he shouldn't take his eyes off of them. A gigantic snake-shaped Hollow appears from the ground and puts the twins into its mouth, but Vansheld slashes it in half with his blade. Delacroix is shocked to see this, still holding onto Nocturne's body, with his assistant's blood on his face. Strauss is surprised to see that Vansheld is still able to move. He's forgotten that there are still people out there who believe in the future and make it through big difficulties.

We see Rose drifting away in a place that appears to be underwater. Above her, she sees a bunch of fish and a figure wearing a hood. 

"I've always been alone. I was bored, you see, so I created a bunch of figures out of mud. I gave them my eyes, my heart. But they multiplied before I even noticed. They unified with each other, split apart, excluded others, over and over again, and they evolved. The problem is that some of them fall from goodness. I've got to separate those from the rest, for the sake of the world." The figure reaches their hand out to Rose. "Do you remember our bet, Rose Windell Odysseia?" Rose realizes that she does.

Merchant Konfi lore :)

Read this⬇️ first lol

Alright um— so since I picked up the original idea of Konfi in Kuroshitsuji again, I wrote this from what I remembered of his first meeting with Lau and a bit of general background but I did it at night, cause y'know- ✨3AM EPIPHANY✨, so some parts could not make sense or be grammatically incorrect but anyway enjoy the I guess!

Oh and, by the way, Konfi's company trades spices and materials and for the "special trades" he sends materials that come from hunting down animals that in fact shouldn't be hunted down and other materials that are illegal or very hard to obtain even in small quantities. Plus drugs or very rare spices.

" Accidental business encounter "

It was 1884 and Konfi was 19 when his father , an italian merchant who owned a big trading business , fell sick and couldn't go to any meetings or events anymore since his illness made it very difficult for him even just to leave his own home. After a while had passed things were getting worse so his father assigned the position of manager directly to Konfi. This quite scared him but it wasn't like he had any choice so, even if he was ready, having the preparation needed, his father ultimately told him that other than the " regular " business they had konfi would also have to take care of some " special " tradings. He didn't specify but sure enough konfi caught on what he was saying the first timeshe had to deal with those he was pretty reluctant but then got used to them after a whil.

A couple years later, just when konfi turned 22, his father died while he was on a ship that was sailing to england and, after reaching the docks, it's merch was supposed to go to london, in the man the " special trade " was with this time was apparently a good friend of konfi's father he didn't know why or how they knew each other since it was a chinese merchant but he just supposed they had met through trades or something in between those lines.

After passing the checks with some tricks, and a considerable amount of money, he got to london and started searching for said man,his name was lau and, between the people who knew about it, he was popular for his oppium trades, he searched for hours and then decided to give up and call it a day. After all him and the others reached the docks in the afternoon so now he was out in the dark and to top it all it was about to rain as well.

He kept walking aimlessly for the rather empty streets of london with his head down an his bangs covering his eyes almost fully , when he bumped into someone , a tall figure that stood before him as he fell on the ground the said tall figure knelt down and offered him a hand to get up

"Are you alright?"

he asked with a surprisingly calm voice konfi then stood up stunned for a second and replied

"Ah,, yes apologize for bumping into you sir-"

he sneezed and hid his face a bit in the scarf he was wearing -oh great now i even got a cold- he thought to himself. The tall man spoke

"Sorry to intrude but what are you doing out so jate at night? You don't seem from these parts"

Konfi sighed softly

"I was searching for someone but i got lost.."

the other tilted his head slightly

"And, if i may ask, who is that you're search ing for?"

Konfi remained silent for a second

"Um.. I think his name was lau! I tried asking around but most of the people just ignored me."

he looked away and the man chuckled

"Well then maybe fate made us meet"

Konfi looked at him confused

"What do you mean?"

the man smiled and opened one of his before closed eyes and held out an hand to him as he cleared his throat

"Let me introduce myself, my name is Lau. Pleasure to meet you friend"

Anyway, this isn't even slightly near to finished but I don't have a clear idea of the things that should happen after so I don't really know where this is going in the specific to be honest
