Hiiii I hope you're doing okay these days ♡
So, I have this little idea in mind, it's and AU! where the Uchihas are college professors and Y/N is their student. Y/N is failing her class, so after everyone leaves the classroom, she walks over to his desk.
"Professor, I was wondering if there's... some way I can pass your class..."
How would they answer to that? 👀
Hi darling! better now, i hope u r okay too!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAS MY FAV TYPE OF SHIT, we are back to our regular schedule!
Tumblr media
Indra
- He looks at her unimpressed, for somehow he is used to insolent students resorting to desperate measures too low for anyone. He turns his attention back to the exams he was busy grading, and answers vaguely, leaving no room for doubt but showing not a hint of interest. "As I view it, you have three options. The first is to study, sitting on your butt for hours and reading. The second, pay for a private teacher, someone to guide you in understanding my ways. Third, take the class again with a different professor and a huge 0 personally drawn by me on your grade record."
Madara
- He understands the suggestion behind the question, of course he does, but he refuses to lower his professional standards for a crude opportunity worthy of a porn movie. No matter how beautiful she is, she is a student, and he will not abuse his power in that room. He snorts as he adjusts the glasses on his nose, and rests his chin on his hands before fixing his gaze on the desperate student in front of him. "I understand life is difficult, it often presents more problems than solutions, more misfortune than happiness, but you cannot abandon your goals, (Y/N). A failed class is not the end of the world, there are always possibilities to get back on track, even after failing. Try, and perish with high standards. A stumble is not a fall."
Izuna
- The question puzzles him a bit, Izuna is not used to wearing his playboy façade at work. He knows everyone in the building talks about his beauty, regardless of age or gender, but he's not used to making active conquests where he has to be responsible. Everything can change, hm? He leans back in his chair, one leg crossed over the other, and the mischievous smirk of when he has a target in mind paints his features. "That's a pretty bold thing to ask, isn't it (Y/N)? One shouldn't take such liberties with stiff and strict men, not if one wants to stay in these kinds of places..." He leaves a pregnant pause where he knows the girl is starting to sweat, believing imminent defeat, but continues, "Fortunately, I am neither rigid nor strict, so tell me, what do you have in mind?"

It's not that I think treatises on the bloodline limits-as-oppressed reading in Nart are wrong (I've read some great ones!) but I feel like Nart's identity as a shonen manga is so fundamental that regardless of the characters saying people with bloodline limits are oppressed the actual subtext of the series is that bloodline limits are cool as shit and you're garbage if you don't have one.
It doesn't help that as the series went on the line between bloodline limits and family traits became deliberately blurred. The Uzumaki chakra, for example--Naruto himself may not have a bloodline limit, but the natural Uzumaki chakra is so critical to his power level and why he's special enough to be protagonist that there's no practical difference.
The whole Ashura and Indra thing only highlighted this even more. What's important isn't how hard you worked, but what special abilities you were born with. Bloodlines and their special powers are the foundation of how important certain characters are.
There are reams to be said about how Sakura fell off in relevancy even as the narrative textually tried to talk her up. I'd argue that her lack of a bloodline ability was a not-inconsiderable part of why she was sidelined. It says a lot that the fandom frequently tries to fix her plot in fic by giving her the Mokuton--a rare bloodline ability. Naruto's narrative is so built around the power of special blood that it feels wrong that Sakura doesn't have one, like a mistake.
(This post brought to you by a Piccolo fan intimately familiar with the circumstances of the narrative no longer having a place in combat for people without a Certain Special Bloodline.)

A Letter?
A little sorta sad idea thats been rattling around in my head for a while about Damai and the idea of sending a letter to be delivered on a specific date
Bird song and the faintest hints of the sun rise pull Damai from their sleep. Their “well desevered rest” after returning from Cantha had to be forced upon them but they’re rather enjoying it. Time alone in the middle of nowhere. No one knows where they are and they’d like to keep it that way. At least for a little while.
*knock knock knock*
At least, they thought no one knew where they were. Has someone followed them? Is the world in danger again? Do they have to fight? Is someone here to hurt them? Could it be-
*knock knock knock*
The second set of knocks breaks them from their spiralling thoughts.
They drag themself from bed and towards the door, trying to still their hand from grabbing the closest weapon. The door creaks as they pull it open, body tensing in preperation for whatever they’re about to face.
“Good morning!”
A man they do not recognise is stood there, eyes creased as he smiles up at them.
“You’re Damai, right? I was asked to bring you this letter! Said it had to be delivered today, no matter what! I have to say, you’re a hard person to track down.”
He holds out a battered looking envelope, smile never leaving his face.
“Sorry it’s a little worn, it is almost a decade old.”
They tentatively take the letter from his hands, staring at him as they work out what this could be. His smile falters. Shit. They’ve been staring at him too long.
“.....thank you.”
“No problem! Well, I best be off! I have more things to deliver!”
He turns to leave before pausing and grinning to them,
“Happy birthday, Commander.”
He’s gone before they can say another word, lifting their hand to wave goodbye even if he doesn’t see it.
Right. That’s today.
The door creaks again as they close it, they really should get that fixed someday. They sit a little too heavily at their desk, wincing from wounds that still need more time to heal. It’s strange how familiar the handwriting on the envelope looks, but they can’t place it. They turn it over in their hand a few times before grabbing a nearby dagger and slicing it open. Indras would have a fit if he saw that.
“My dearest friend,
I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to you once again. I know I have said many times in person over these last two days but none of what we accomplished could have been done without you.
I thought it would be enjoyable for you if I wrote this letter for you to read once you have turned 10. You seem delighted when you found your first bow from when you awoke so I thought you’d like this little reminder of our triumph.
I am so very proud of you. Your kind heart and sharp mind have been essential to this war, and I am glad I was given the chance to know you.
Tomorrow I am sure the celebrations will continue and I am certain we will spend even more time in my office together. I’d like it if we went to that quiet area you said you found. By the time you read this I am certain we went there many times.
I look forward to many more battles by your side, Damai, and even more celebrations as well. I hope we are still together by the time this reaches you.
Here is to another ten years.
Yours always,
Trahearne”
The letters blur out of focus as tears gather in their eyes but they dare not blink in case the paper vanishes from their hands. Tears drip from their open eyes and they hurry to move the paper before they risk ruining it. How could they have ever forgotten his writing?
Their voice bubbles up in their throat before they can do anything to stop it, a screaming sob rips its way out of their mouth.
And they cry. And cry. And cry.
Tomorrow, Damai will make the long walk back to the nearest town in order to see Indras.
But today, alone, in the middle of nowhere, they clutch Trahearnes letter tight to their chest and dream of a world with him still in it.

De-Aging Akatsuki feat. Team Taka, Indra, Ashura
I’ve vaguely talked about this before but it’s taking up so much space in the pinned post that I figured I should probably make a Concept Post so I can just link it the way I do the rest.
HERE WE GO.
As per usual, this was like 40% @firebirdeternal.
One day, half of the Akatsuki wake up and go “Huh. We are now much younger than we were yesterday.”
The other half wake up and go “This is not where I was yesterday (which is really twenty years ago, but I do not know that). I shall scream.”
The cause: Ashura and Indra got drunk on Ghost Booze and went “hey, what if we just fucked with Uncle Zetsu’s plans so much that we delayed this entire mess, that would be hilarious, right?”
They then woke up the next morning and went “shit, did we just turn a bunch of international terrorists into children? Shit. SHIT.”
“Dad’s gonna be PISSED.”
Ashura and Indra technically achieved the goal of ‘fuck with Zetsu’s plans enough to delay Kaguya’s return’ but they don’t. Have a plan. For how to fix anything.
Kakuzu is responsible for keeping everything as a whole running, partly because ‘de-aged’ for him means dropping from the age of ninety-ish to forty-ish and nobody can even tell because he’s a living eldritch abomination. Kakuzu went from ‘old’ to ‘slightly less old.’
(Most of the fic is just him being an extremely unhappy babysitter who is mentally tallying up how much money he's going to charge these fuckers once they fix this.)
Half of them have amnesia and the other half are uhhhhhhhhhh useless.
Deidara remembers but is literally a toddler and screams every time Itachi tries to hold him. He has tiny chubby baby hands. There are mouths in those hands, sure, but he’s baby.
Sasori is physically a teenager, which would normally put him at semi-useful, except he’s 900% overwhelmed by every sense except sight.
Hidan, physically six, got arrested at the mall, and Kakuzu’s not bailing him out. Hidan remembers everything but is a font of bad decisions. Mostly I didn’t want to brainstorm what he’s doing so I figured I could just toss him in jail for trying to kill people in public.
Kisame is largely responsible for everyone that is either amnesiac or physically under the age of ten, because Kisame is... idk physically twelve? But he doesn’t have amnesia and he’s not dying of sensation like Sasori, so whoop-de-doo, you’re in charge! Kind of.
Zetsu is the only one completely unaffected, and is going after Orochimaru because he’s convinced it’s the snake’s fault (it’s not).
Zetsu is still Literally Old As Dirt
Zetsu is Sir Not Invited To This Party
Itachi and Obito don’t remember jackshit. Itachi is like Six. Obito is... fourteen? IDK. Post-Kannabi, pre-Rin.
The Ame trio are probably alive, or at least Nagato doesn’t have the pilot-a-corpse piercings so it’s ACTUALLY him and Konan walking around, and also do not remember jackshit. Puts them at 15 or so? Like. Mid-Jiraiya.
I’m erring on the side of all three being alive because I like any opportunity for Yahiko to be like “Dude, what the FUCK did you do when I died? Bro. This is kinda fucked up.”
On the other hand "Nagato, why do you have so many piercings? Why are you piloting Yahiko like--" "I DON'T KNOW."
Zetsu and Kakuzu: I don't know how but this is probably Orochimaru's fault.
Kakuzu wants to go hunt Orochimaru down himself but sends Zetsu instead because somebody needs to keep an eye on this mess
He can't just leave the kids unattended, he tries and they immediately got into the murder implements and those are expensive.
Kakuzu doesn't mind not being his own age again--dropping forty years just means his bones are slightly less creaky, and even that's not much because he's like 83% tentacles anyway--but the toddlers are annoying and MOST OF THE TEAM doesn't even remember being in Akatsuki? It's like Kakuzu and Sasori and Kisame that both have their memories AND the capability to Do Things, and Sasori barely counts. Even Pein and Konan don't remember. TOBI doesn't remember. Kakuzu’s ready to kill something.
“Orochimaru this is clearly your fault, if you were that desperate for more kids then just kidnap them like a normal nukenin, don't de-age these fuckers, do you know how ANNOYING it is?”
PSYCH it’s not
(It’s chakra ghosts.)
Sasori, Obito, and Itachi all arguing over who gets to Take Care Of Deidara.
Sasori because this is HIS dumbass partner, Obito because he's not sure WHY but he feels like this blonde toddler is a FRIEND, and Itachi because Surrogate Little Sibling.
Sasori 100% keeps forgetting to breathe on occasion because What Are Lungs Again?
Hidan is only mentioned in brief passing from TV news segments in the background about a 6 year old who attempted to shiv a police officer.
Like, he went missing and nobody gave a single shit. He can't die anyways, and being a smol has not IMPROVED his already lacking self control, let him be someone else's problem for a while.
Kakuzu's just like "Meh, he'll be fine." "Shouldn't we go find him?" "No. No we should not." "But--" "Kisame. No. Please let me NOT deal with that specific mess until I handle ALL OF THE OTHER MESSES."
"I'm pretty sure he's still immortal, he wouldn't be ranting about Jashin and stabbing people from that close if he WASN'T so just let him get it out of his system." "This--this isn't a TEMPER TANTRUM, he's trying--mostly failing--to slaughter an entire mall. Like. In the middle of Amegakure." "Let the Jounin handle it. Not my problem." "IT WILL BE ONCE PEIN REMEMBERS HE'S IN CHARGE OF YOU AND GETS PISSED THAT YOU LET HIDAN KILL HIS PEOPLE. AME IS OFF LIMITS, OH MY GOD, YOU KNOW THIS."
He keeps trying to murder people? But keeps forgetting he weighs less than a bag of cat food right now and so mostly just shanks ankles and then gets picked up and put in time out.
Time-out is jail.
That's the main reason Kakuzu is content to let the Ame Jounin handle it. They keep tossing this literal child into prison and trying to contact God And His Angel for like. Advice? Because this is weird? “We have an immortal six-year-old in custody and he keeps ranting about a Heretical Deity--because Pein is the true god--and also he kind of looks like one of those S-rank nukenin we're all supposed to ignore if we see them around?”
tbh they keep getting distracted by how Itachi and Obito are insistent on helping take care of baby Dei, who has to be gumming on a teething ring because that’s adorable and also really embarrassing.
Itachi is five years old and incredibly creepy and keeps following around after Obito because Family? He is family, yes? And also insisting on holding Deidara because if Itachi can't take care of bb Sasuke then he's going to find the closest Tiny Thing and hold them.
Obito is like. Just pre-Rin incident. He can walk and stuff but his body is half Hashirama cells and he's covered in scars but he is so amped to see Itachi and Make Friends and hi Yahiko is The Coolest Ever?
He's now running around being an incredibly Naruto older sibling to all the tiny murderers who are smaller than him. Obito is in a certain amount of pain but he is VERY HAPPY that he has, like, company that isn't A Decrepit And Megalomaniacal Uchiha Elder and Creepy Zetsu Clones. (Zetsu himself is very frustrated by this and cannot show it.)
Obito puts Deidara on his knee and bounces him and Deidara doesn't have the muscle control to TALK but he's internally seething like What the fuck? You're tolerable? Why aren't you this tolerable when I'm a Grown-Ass Adult?
Deidara retains his full personality but is also a lumpy potato and cannot express any of it.
Additional running gag: Baby Deidara keeps trying to make things blow up and keeps getting stopped by safety-conscious Obito who babyproofed the hideout. Obito doesn't realize AT ALL that Deidara is upset for "I want to blow shit up" reasons and not "I want to touch the pretty thing" reasons.
Itachi would absolutely find a Bingo Book that people are trying to keep away from The Members That Don't Remember. He finds his own entry. I’m not sure what he does about it. He’s five, so probably he goes to Obito and cries on him a bunch.
Obito has Mangekyo and has NO IDEA how he got it. - He sinks through the floor by accident at one point because nobody, like, thought to warn him that was a thing that could happen
"Hey guys, does anyone know why there's like hundreds of unconscious, naked, identical men in the basement? Asking for a friend."
Zetsu: Don't worry about it. Kakuzu: What the hell, we should absolutely worry about that, why are there hundreds of naked men in the basement? Are we feeding them? How much of the miscellaneous spending is being wasted on someone's weird harem fantasy?
Honestly though I'm really super enamored with "Itachi is super duper careful with Deidara and is Very Serious about babysitting and Kisame keeps sneaking pictures while Sasori like. Panics."
Sasori isn't used to emotions. Or adrenaline. Or stress hormones. Sasori is having a lot of trouble and not entirely useless, but very, very easily overwhelmed. He doesn't like showers because it's sensory hell but also the only people willing to help him out with the option of a sponge bath are Kisame and Obito and it's just. Hella awkward? Sasori is overwhelmed and spends most of his time asleep because it's Less.
He went from almost no bodily reactions straight back into puberty, he can't control this crap at all. He’s also trying to figure out if he has, like, allergies?
Itachi: I want to hold the baby. Deidara, the baby: [screams]
If Deidara is held by Obito or Itachi, he's screaming. Deidara is happiest with Sasori, will put up with the Ame trio or Kisame, but he Does Not Like the Uchiha, which is a pity because both of them love babysitting.
Deidara does eventually calm down a bit because neither of them actually REMEMBER pissing him off and also Itachi's like. Super? Sweet? In a creepy-little-fucker way, but.
Nagato takes the time to tell Kakuzu that there are ghosts following them all, actually, and their names are Indra and Ashura and they’re really sorry about this but they got drunk on Ghost Sake and accidentally turned all his teammates into babies, whoops, sorry about that, they can totally pay you back later for babysitting the lot of them even though they’re dead and have been for centuries, yeah?
Indra and Ashura do not have access to Money but they also don’t know how to fix this and need somebody to look after a problem that’s technically their fault.
Might be a little “Ghost of Christmas Past” or whatever.
Kakuzu turns around and it's like Hi this is Indra and Ashura they're here to tell you that if you don't kill Uncle Zetsu for them they're going to keep your entire organization like this forever and also haunt you and no you can't leave
Just Coerce Kakuzu Into Killing Zetsu, It's Fine
(this was not the plan)
(Ashura and Indra are not acknowledging how completely sideways this entire situation has gone)
(WE TOTALLY MEANT TO DO THIS)
"Not only will doing this stop you personally from being annoyed, it'll incidentally save the entire world! On which you live! So there's two selfish motivations for you!"
Indra was probably just like drifting around to follow Itachi because Like Okay I Guess I Care About This Dude And Being Stuck Inside Sasuke's Soul Is Depressing
(Itachi's life is also depressing but like a DIFFERENT kind of depressing so at least he's less bored)
Ashura was following Indra because sometimes you Just Gotta Annoy Your Bro
Indra was complaining about how Itachi used to be So Cute And Innocent even if he was a creepy little fucker and the bros got spirit drunk and next thing you know all of Akatsuki is Baby. Not like Fully Baby, except Deidara
But like Baby
They planned none of this but they SURE ARE GOING TO PRETEND THEY DID Genius Ninja Ghosts who aren't making this up as they go along, no! What gave you that idea?! (Now we know where Naruto/Sasuke get it from)
Ashura: I got drunk and did something ridiculous and TBH it was Indra's fault for leaving me unsupervised Indra: I TURNED AROUND FOR TWO MINUTES Ashura: And if you'd paid any attention to what Hashirama and Naruto were like, or what I myself was like as a child, you'd have noticed that-- Indra: WE'VE BEEN DEAD FOR A THOUSAND YEARS HOW DID YOU EVEN MANAGE THIS
Nagato just goes to Kakuzu like "I am seeing the long-dead. They claim to have caused this entire mess and also that the only way to end the torture is to kill Zetsu." "W-what." "One of them says he was part of Hashirama and can prove it if you need him to. He remembers exactly how you tried to kill him." "What."
Nagato: I see dead people Kakuzu: I'm too old for this shit.
Also Kakuzu: Okay. Okay I can do this. I can kill the plant bastard. How much are you paying me? Ashura: ..... what do you mean how much?! Kakuzu: I don't work for free. Period. Ashura: [starts to moralize at him about the fate of the world] Kakuzu: You don't get it. How Much Indra: [phases under the couch] Ten ryou? Kakuzu: .... that and fix the idiots and you've got yourself a hired killer. Ashura: !?!??
Alternately Indra: I can tell you where to find ancient treasures that a Daimyo might pay out the nose for?
But I like the idea that he's so desperate to fix the others and also kind of does want to save the world since he lives on it, but it's a matter of principle. No Free Work, Ever. And yes that is a hill he is prepared to die on, it's probably the only hill he's prepared to die on
Kakuzu, day one: Killing Zetsu should be easy. Kakuzu, week three: Nagato, I need you to tell these dead people to go fuck themselves, this is impossible
He ends up tallying up all the Zetsus he kills as individual completions of the contract. At ten ryou a piece he estimates that he's going to crack at least a few hundred k off of this job. It's the only thing that keeps him going.
Single Dad Kakuzu Attempting To Assassinate Some Black Goop
Kakuzu: Okay what if I just blow up the entire continent, that'll probably get them all....? Wait fuck, I can't do that, all my investments are on this continent. I need to look into funding some mercantile efforts to find a new continent so I can diversify in case of situations like this in the future.
Indra: I will give you an extra five ryou if you blow up the Gedou Mazou statue. Kakuzu: Then you shouldn't have turned Deidara into a literal infant.
Indra: I will give you an extra ten ryou if you find some way to destroy it anyway. Ashura: I could revert Deidara early? Indra, sotto voce: Have you even figured out how to do that yet? Ashura: Uh. No. I have not.
They are very lucky that Nagato is translating for them.
(A fun possible ending for this scenario is that Kakuzu somehow does manage to kill Zetsu, by subcontracting out the hit to a few additional people (The Heroes Team and works alongside them) and then presents them a bill for several million yen and reverted teammates. Which they then have to admit to being unable to pay.) (Kakuzu now has to figure out if it is possible to kill immortal reincarnating ghosts, because if it is, he's gonna.)
Ashura: I will TOTALLY turn your friends back into adults if you do this for us. Ashura, five minutes later: Indra, help me figure out how to turn these jerks back into Adults.
Sasuke and co. show up to kill Itachi and Kakuzu is just like Great! You're babysitting.
Sasuke: Wait wh-- Kakuzu: You're not getting paid because you broke the door so instead of charging you for repairs, you can watch over your brother. Sasuke: Why would I--WHY IS ITACHI FIVE
Kakuzu becomes Everyone's Annoying Uncle completely by accident.
Because he's determined not to kill any of these people until or unless he figures out how to get paid for this shit, and if either of the two brats (Naruto and Sasuke) dies he'll have no lead at all on how to find the current incarnation of the Ghost Bastards who Stiffed Him.
Juugo: I can't do this. Kisame: Why not? Kids are easy to-- Juugo: I literally cannot do this I will end up accidentally killing a child please lock me up in one of your bijuu-proof rooms I cannot emphasize how necessary this is if you want these babies to survive.
Speaking of Kisame and Juugo: Juugo: I absorb chakra and when I get too full I berserk. Kisame: Oh, is that all? Here pet my sword for a while. Juugo: ...what Kisame: It's a bit pointy but it likes to be stroked, and it'll eat your excess.
It's just a very pointy cat to Juugo.
Suigetsu: Hey, I wanted to collect the swords. Juugo: [is literally cuddling Samehada] Suigetsu: Give me the pointy cat
Juugo ends up being the best babysitter, so long as he gets to swordsit too.
Suigetsu babysitting is that one photo of Chris Hemsworth playing with his kids on the beach and just like. Holding out a toddler by the ankle.
Tumblr media
Sasuke is the RDJ kind of childcare like once he parses that this is Baby Itachi Who Has Done Nothing Wrong Ever he's just like Panic Cuddling Nobody Touch Itachi
"Weren't you trying to kill him like five days ago." "SHUT UP HE CAN'T KNOW THAT"
Karin finds Nagato and is just like "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shit I think we're related maybe?" He's a teenager probably
Someone wants to seduce Sasori. I'm not sure who. First instinct is Yahiko but he is tragically in love with Konan still.
That said, Suigetsu is very gay and made of bad decisions, so that’s honestly plausible, so long as he doesn’t succeed.
I can see a few people wanting to seduce Sasori, but I honestly feel like his response to all of that would be “ew.” Honestly his response in this specific context is "Get out of my room the noise is giving me a headache"
The only acceptable Noises are "plans to fix this mess" and "Deidara is literally incapable of self-care and has to baby-cry for things like food and nappies." He probably has noise-sensitivity to the sound of his own blood moving around his body, at least for a while.
"I wish Itachi remembered adulthood so he could just cast a genjutsu on Sasori to cut off like 95% of sensation, this would be SO MUCH EASIER if he could."
If Sasori's alive then is Tobi even like. Known to the rest of the organization.
I'm already ignoring canon in favor of "asshole roommates" fanon so It truly Does Not Matter
It's the crack version of Dead Dove Do Not Eat. Like, if someone comes into a story like this expecting Detailed Canon Parallels and Thoroughly Articulated Plot Points Justifying Every Deviation then I don't know what to tell them when they're disappointed
Ashura, repeatedly poking Nagato: Hey hey I need you to do a thing hey Nagato hey buddy dude pal hey hey hey my boy hey Nagato: WHAT Ashura: Can you tell Obito that The Incident with the Sanbi was Zetsu and Madara's fault? Nagato: What incident? Ashura: I can't tell you because if he knows it happened at all then he's gonna go nuts and start killing people, maybe. Nagato: What.
Indra: Madara and Zetsu-ji killed the girl Obito was in love with and Obito went insane and became a supervillain as a result Nagato: What the fuck
Indra: I mean, to be fair, they did the same thing to you? Kind of? Just your best friend instead of your romantic-- Nagato: WHAT THE FUCK

I'm daydreaming about doctor Clarke and nurse Lexa after they finally start dating.
Clarke openly flirting with Lexa any chance she gets and Lexa will tell her to quit it because they are at work but she still can't help the smile that always creeps on to her lips that she tries to hide behind her clipboard.
Lexa finding Clarke in the halls and snatching her to one of the closets for a quick make out session because they barely got to see each other in the past few days and she misses her a lot.
Lunches and dinners in Clarke's office that Lexa sometimes manages to cook and them always treating it as a lunch date or a dinner date with the lights lowered and soft music playing from Clarke's computer.
(sex in Clarke's office that they promise is a one time only thing because they hadn't been together in a good while but it ends up becoming more and more common until they eventually get caught and given a stern warning by Indra)
Clarke finding a free moment and catching Lexa looking over some papers at the nurses station and warping her arms around her waist and pampering her with little kisses because Lexa has been again overdoing it at work, taking extra and harder shifts, making her back and jaw look tense all the time. On nights they go home together Clarke gives her a massage because Lexa is always in pain. They'll cuddle and she'll let Lexa let it all out in the form of tears, the stress from extra shits and long days and nights combined with some of the awful things she witnesses as a nurse coming out all at once.
Lexa having to force Clarke to come home because she once more got too involved with a patient's case (it's the kids, it's always harder when it's kids) and refuses to leave until she can fix it. And then having to hold Clarke as she cries after she wasn't able to save a patient when she promised she would.

The first thing you realize is that Miller saved all of your lives with his quick thinking. You turn and meet his gaze, grateful that he was fast enough to get the bomb behind one of the solid doors. “Thank you.”
He nods in acknowledgment, before another soft rumble settles through the room, and the door the bomb is behind starts to groan softly. Which brings you to the second realization, that in saving all of your lives, Miller possibly doomed the others. Because the door he threw the bomb behind is the door that leads to the rest of the bunker. It’s the door that leads to the stone, in the rec room with Jackson, Murphy, Emori, and Raven.
Miller immediately pries the door in question off the hinges with one of the spears from the arena, revealing a doorway of stacked concrete, confirming what you already knew. The others are trapped down below, and the rest of you are trapped up here. You have access to the outside, but no way to reach the stone or the rest of your friends. You turn to look at Clarke, seeking out her counsel, despite still being angry with her. She gives you a desperate look, before a look of realization passes over her face. “We can still get to Madi.”
She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small vial, three blue pills inside. You recognize them immediately as nano trackers, likely brought over by Sheidheda, the same ones Cadogan used to leave the bunker. Clarke unscrews the bottle and immediately dumps one out, preparing to swallow it, but Gaia closes the space between them and stops her hand from dropping the pill into her mouth. “Clarke, we have to think this through.”
“Gaia's right. Only the second pill’s for me.” Clarke looks over at you in surprise, not expecting you to take her side after what she did. But she killed Bellamy to protect Madi, and if something happens to Madi, then Bellamy and Gabriel died for nothing. All of it was for nothing. You refuse to let their deaths be in vain, which is why you hold your hand out for one of the pills, and Clarke quickly passes one to you. Behind you, Octavia speaks up, moving closer to you and Clarke. “We're gonna need an inside man.”
You both understand her statement for what it is: an offer to go with the two of you, so Clarke hands Octavia the third and final pill. All of you swallow them, one after the next, Octavia the last to do so, and you stand staring at each other, waiting to instantly disappear the way that Cadogan did.
Except, you don’t.
The three of you stay firmly in place, looking at each other in absolute confusion. “Cadogan disappeared right away.”
“Why isn't this working?”
Hope answers you and Clarke both, shrugging a little as she does. “Maybe somebody has to be waiting in Bardo to pull you through.”
A strange look passes over Clarke’s face, half anger, half amusement, before settling into one of determination. She crosses the room in three strides, stopping at the door to the rest of the bunker, clamping her hands down on the first piece of stone she sees. She pulls, letting out a cry of effort as she does, the concrete moving nowhere. She tries again, her hands slipping off the stone, likely scratching her the way they did when the two of you tried to dig to this very same bunker, and you shake your head before moving towards her. “Clarke.”
She doesn’t turn around, determinedly yanking at the stones and sliding off them, making no progress, going nowhere, but still trying nonetheless. “We have to get to Madi! Cadogan could be digging into her brain right now.”
You reach out for her, grabbing her arm and spinning her towards you. “Clarke! We spent days trying to dig our way to the bunker before we nearly died in that collapse, and this is no different. You’re gonna dislodge a stone and get yourself killed if you keep this up, and you’re no use to Madi if you’re dead.”
She sets her jaw, and you think she’s about to start a fight with you before her eyes drop and her gaze softens. “Your shoulder.”
You peer down at your shoulder and the blood staining your shirt, the wound from Sheidheda still bleeding, the pain forgotten to you in the chaos of everything that’s happened since then. “It’s nothing.”
You try to shrug her off, stepping away from her, not wanting her comfort or her help, but she reaches out to grab your arm, her hand closing around one of the cuts on your forearm. She can feel the wetness on her hand as soon as she grabs you, and she immediately lets go of you and looks at you in alarm. “La lune!”
She grabs your hand and turns your arm over, eyes scanning the cuts on both of your forearms. “Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I honestly can't feel it. Adrenaline and all that.”
“Come here.” She tries to pull you to the side, and you don’t budge at first, but she gives you one of those looks that lets you know this is not negotiable, because your own words apply to you in this moment. You’re no good to Madi dead, and bleeding to death because you’re mad at Clarke is not the way to go. So when she tugs you to the side a second time, you let her, and she motions for you to sit across from her as she tears strips of cloth from the bottom of her shirt. The tension between the two of you temporarily melts away as she ties makeshift bandages around your forearms and shoulder, your access to real bandages nonexistent. You sit quietly as she fixes you up the best she can, before she finally breaks the silence to whisper, “I’m sorry about Bellamy, I swear I am. I didn’t want to do it, but I had to, to protect Madi. You can hate me forever, la lune, I’ll understand.”
You sit in silence for a second, weighing her words, and you can tell from the anguish in her voice that she means it. But that doesn't erase all of your feelings instantly, as much as you wish it did. You wish you could erase the hurt and the grief and the anger, but you can’t. It’s still raw and open, weighing on you at every moment. “Clarke, you’re my shining star. You’re a part of me. I understand why you did what you did, and I understand why you feel like it was the only choice. But that doesn't change the fact that Bellamy is dead and you pulled the trigger. I don't hate you, I don't think I ever could, but I don't forgive you either, at least not yet. Hopefully one day I’ll forgive you and we can move past this, but right now, I'm too damn hurt and angry.”
She nods her head, looking up at you with tears in her eyes. “I understand. If it helps, I regret it. I don't think I’d do it again, especially if I knew that Madi was just gonna turn herself in despite everything.”
You say nothing for a long second, your voice a soft whisper, cracking with emotion when you say, “I just wish I could have said goodbye. I gave him back the ring, you know, and he died thinking I didn't love him, but I do. I love him with my whole heart, my entire being. He’s my soulmate, and he died thinking that I hate him.”
You feel your bottom lip quiver before tears start to spill down your face, and you see tears in Clarke’s eyes before she pulls you in for a hug, holding you as you cry for Bellamy. And in this moment, you allow yourself to forget what happened to him, focusing only on the fact that he’s gone. You allow your twin to comfort you, hold you close, softly humming Clair de lune in your ear until you start to calm down again. And even after the two of you break apart, you stay side by side, unable to leave each other’s side, even now, when everything between you is tense and weird.
Indra is the first to break the silence and tension hanging over the room. “We should discuss the plan. Clarke, la lune, and Octavia bring us over. We get Madi and kill their leader.”
Gaia jumps down from the perch she was on, walking towards her mother. “Killing Cadogan won't change anything.”
“He can't chase us if he's dead.”
She shakes her head at Indra trying to get her to understand. “You've seen faith, Mother. You kill the Commander, another takes her place. You kill the Fleimkepa, another takes his place. Faith doesn't just die, it gets carried forward. Cadogan's people are no different.”
Miller asks the question that you’re all beginning to wonder. “Then how does this end?”
“Bellamy asked that question, too.” You all look towards Octavia, the mood sobering even further at the mention of Bellamy. “One Last War, and then we transcend and we become the light.”
Across the room, Jordan breaks his silence. “It's a beautiful idea, but fighting is not how we get there. War is a failure of everything. Which is why it's a test, not a war.”
“Test, war, test, war. The disciples have been studying the Bardo texts for over 1,000 years. You really think you know better?”
Jordan turns to Hope, answering her question with complete confidence. “Yes. And it's not just that I read some old books, I felt it. That red sun toxin showed me something. I couldn't figure it out, but I knew it was important, and then I read the Bardo texts, and it hit me... the next step in human evolution.”
You can feel Clarke going more restless with each passing second, until she abruptly stands and snaps, “Nonsense.”
Everyone turns to face her after the outburst, but she avoids everyone’s eyes as she stalks up the ramp towards the exit. “All that matters now is saving Madi and killing Cadogan. There's no Last War or test. Bellamy's dead because he believed that crap, and I've heard enough!”
You look after her retreating figure, wondering if you should go after her. Everything between the two of you is weird, and your anger is telling you to stay, bristling at the casual way she mentioned Bellamy’s death. But your softer side, the part of you that’s connected to her, it’s telling you to go after her, comfort her, despite what she did. Gaia seems to sense your conflict, because she steps towards you with a smile and whispers, “I got it.”
You nod in thanks, relieved that you don’t have to decide, before sitting back down and beginning the excruciating process of waiting once more. You’re quickly realizing that there’s nothing you hate more than waiting: waiting to fight, waiting to escape, waiting to die. Because waiting is usually silent, and that silence easily morphs into your regrets, and fears, and worries. It’s when you think about everything you've done wrong and everything you haven't yet gotten the chance to do. There’s time to think of who you’ve killed and who you’ve lost, which opens up the door to the painful memories that usually stay locked deep in your brain, in that place you try to keep hidden from everyone, including yourself.
Waiting is suffocating, and in the time you’ve spent on Earth, Sanctum, Skyring, and Bardo, you’ve already done too much of it.
You stand, starting to pace around the rotunda, the way Bellamy used to pace when he first got back from space. The same habit he turned to when he had to wait. And as your feet move you around the room in continuous circles, you start to understand. It’s rhythmic, the way your feet carry you across the floor, boots thudding softly against the metal, and each time you walk past Hope, the thuds stutter, your footsteps softened by an uneven spot on the floor.
As you pace around the room, you force your mind to stay on the safe topics. The ones that don't involve painful memories or the ghosts that seem to stalk you. Instead, you keep things light, reciting constellations and medicinal plants, anything to keep your mind occupied. A few times you slip up, your thoughts drifting to what Bellamy was thinking in his final moments, as he bled out on Sanctum alone. You start to worry about Madi and what she’s going through without you, cursing yourself for not getting to her sooner and stopping her from leaving. You think about Gabriel and his final words to you, what they meant... You shake your head, clearing the spiral of memories and grief, shifting back to your safe topics, ignoring the thoughts that are begging to pull you down.
You only pause your pacing once, when Clarke and Gaia come out of the decontamination room and take up a spot on the ramp, sitting across from each other cross legged, Gaia talking to your twin softly. You resume your pacing, glancing at them every few minutes, realizing that Gaia must be teaching Clarke to calm her mind the way she taught Madi to.
But Clarke’s peace is short lived, and within minutes she’s standing, her voice rising as she glares down at Gaia. “How do you expect me to focus right now when my daughter is out there, probably being tortured right now?”
“You think I don't know that?” Gaia stands abruptly, and you pause your pacing to watch them. She gives Clarke an anguished look, her voice dropping slightly when she adds, “I love her too, Clarke.”
A look of sympathy passes over Clarke’s face before she reaches out and pulls the former Flamekeeper into a hug. “I know, I know, I'm sorry.”
You’re about to start pacing again, the conflict seemingly resolved, when you catch a glimpse of green around Clarke. She pulls away from Gaia, her hands starting to disappear, and she turns to look at you with a smile. “It's working.”
Clarke disappears in a haze of emerald, leaving you to turn and look at Octavia, “I’m next.”
Miller yells out to you, “La lune, catch!”
You turn towards him, catching the pistol he tosses your way, seconds before you too fade away from the bunker. All around you, the world is green, bright and hazy, until it fades into a darker hue. It takes a second for you to realize that you’re not in the Stone Room, but in the oxygen farm, surrounded by an army of disciples, all of them pointing weapons right at you and Clarke. You raise the pistol that Miller tossed to you, you and Clarke aiming back at the disciples, and Octavia appears a second later, instantly lifting her rifle.
A disciple near the font of the armed group looks towards you and loudly yells, “Drop your weapons! Hands in the air!”
Octavia drops her weapon first, lifting her hands in surrender, and you and Clarke exchange a look before you both follow suit. Despite not wanting to surrender to the disciples, you both know you have no choice, and if you choose to take a stand here, it will only result in the three of you ending up dead. So you both drop your weapons and lift your hands in the air, following the commands of the disciples as they close in on you. The three of you are restrained and led past the waiting army, through the oxygen farm and the halls of Bardo until you’re delivered to a cell.
They release all three of you in one room, and you stand there for a minute, stunned by what just happened. “Why did we show up in the oxygen farm?”
Clarke shakes her head, “I don't know. But they’re preparing for a war, which means they have Madi and she’s in trouble.”
She plops down onto the nearest bed in frustration, dropping her head into her hands before she starts to softly cry. Octavia sits down beside her, offering her comfort, the moment soon overshadowed by someone singing. And not just someone, Sheidheda. He sings the Grounder Anthem, “Take a Life With Me”, over and over on a loop, until there is no sadness left in your prison cell, only frustration.
You take up pacing again as nothing you do drowns out the awful, annoying sound, which continues repeatedly, until you’re sure you’re about to lose your mind. You can sense Clarke growing tense too, her body starting to fidget more and more until she finally yells out, “Shut up!”
But Sheidheda doesn't shut up, he just keeps singing without a care in the world. Clarke looks at you with worry and frustration, her eyes wide, her nerves frazzled. “We did all that just to end up back here, locked up in a cell next to Sheidheda.”
“We'll get Madi back.” You don’t say anything beyond that, your anger at her now back in full force now that you’re back in Bardo, but you do let out a sigh, frustrated that your emotions are so all over the place. You wonder what Anders would say about you now, watching you pace the room like a caged animal, angry and frustrated and ready to destroy Bardo if you have to.
You’re pulled back to the present by Clarke sighing loudly, looking doubtful about your assurance of finding Madi, which Octavia notices. She puts a hand on Clarke’s knee, whose gaze shifts over to the younger Blake. “Think about it: someone brought us here. That means we have help on the inside, it's just a matter of time.”
Clarke nods, contemplating her words, realizing the truth to them, and she’s quiet for a moment before whispering, “Thank you.”
Something about her tone makes you pause, and you stop in front of her as Clarke’s gaze shifts between you and Octavia. “Both of you. Thank you for offering to come.”
Octavia answers first, “I told you I get it now, what she means to you. It's what Hope means to me.”
“It's what we meant to Bellamy.” Clarke and Octavia look towards you, the mood dampening the way it does when you all remember that Bellamy is gone, for real this time. You’re surprised you even said it, and you have to fight against the tears that are threatening to rise, glancing between the two women you call sister. “We were everything to him.”
Octavia whispers, “That's how I'll remember him.”
Clarke reaches out to grab your hand and you let her, before she reaches for Octavia’s hand too, the three of you sitting together as a small human chain, mourning the loss of Bellamy. And as the three of you mourn, tears streaming down your faces, the door to your cell opens. Clarke and Octavia stand beside you and turn to see Levitt hovering near the entrance, smiling at Octavia. She moves towards him, and as the pair hugs, you get a flash of disappointment. Part of you hoped that it would be Bellamy here to save you, despite seeing his body bleeding out on the palace floor in Sanctum. Something you remind yourself of as Clarke mutters, “Hate to interrupt, but we need to get to Madi. What’s the plan?”
Levitt and Octavia pull apart, and he looks between the three of you, growing anxious. “I don't know. Isn't this your guys' specialty? How would you do it?”
Octavia thinks for a second and then says, “Use the suits, go invisible.”
“No, that won't work. Too many disciples with helmets around.”
Clarke shrugs, “Then we come in hot, and we take them all out.”
You shake your head, instantly disagreeing. If the disciples are preparing for a war, then Clarke’s right. Madi is in danger now. You have no doubt that you, Clarke, and Octavia could come in and take the disciples out with ease, but how long will that give you? Five minutes? Ten? It’s loud and it’s messy, and it’ll put a target on your backs. You need a distraction, something to pull the disciples away from M-Cap, giving the four of you time to find Madi and get her to safety. You search your brain for a different plan, struggling to come up with anything, thanks to Sheidheda’s obnoxious singing.
And that’s when it comes to you.
You look between the three of them, smiling, pointing to the room next door. “Or we create a distraction.”
Realization passes over each of their faces, and you know you’re all on the same page. “Good idea.”
Levitt heads to the door of your cell and reaches for a bag that he left behind, tossing each of you a gun before leading you from your room and to the next cell over. He quickly pulls the door scanner from the wall, attaching a few wires to a tablet from his bag and typing in a code. He removes the tablet and tucks it away before reattaching the scanner and pushing the button. The door to Sheidheda’s cell slides open, and you, Clarke, and Octavia go in weapons hot, aiming directly at the man in the room. He stops singing when he hears your entrance, turning slowly to look at the three of you glaring in anger, Levitt waiting just behind you. “Well, since no one's shooting, I suppose that means you need me.”
He laughs a little and stands to his feet, musing, “What would Madi think?”
Clarke lowers her gun and lunges at him, intending to hit him, but you reach out and grab her arm to stop her. “Clarke!”
Sheidheda laughs, looking you over, taking in your bandages and the blood that’s still on your face, a mix of Gabriel’s and your own. “I got the doctor good, didn't I? Tell me, did he make it?”
And this time, it’s your turn to lunge, dropping Clarke’s arm and reaching for the man, seeing only red, your anger raw with grief. But Octavia grabs you, pulling you back, yelling out, “That’s enough, all of you! We need to stop Cadogan.”
You take a breath, calming yourself, aware that you need the man in front of you to save your niece and stop Cadogan from winning. Which means, for now, you’ll play alongside him. But if he makes it out of here and you get the chance, you’ll kill him for what he did to Gabriel and Madi.
Sheidheda shrugs at Octavia’s words, growling a little, “I tried, and for my troubles, they locked me up here.”
Clarke doesn't care, blowing past his complaint to snap, “Here's the deal. I'd love to kill you, but you're right, we need you. We set you loose, and you draw the disciples away from M-Cap.”
“I'm not some petty distraction. I'm the high king of Sanctum.”
You roll your eyes, “Okay, Your Highness. Then we walk out of here and lock the door behind us.”
He sneers at you, giving you an annoyed smile. “Hmm, distraction it is.”
You motion towards the door with your gun. “Then let’s go.”
Levitt leads the way to M-Cap, the rest of you keeping your guns trained on Sheidheda, but you stop when you reach the last few hallways to your destination. You can hear people nearby, likely standing guard or prepping for the war, and you motion towards Sheidheda as you all duck out of sight. He smiles before he steps away, and you can hear the moment he catches sight of the disciples. “Attention, sheep. I'm here to kill your Shepherd.”
You can hear one of the guards yelling commands, followed immediately by the sounds of fighting. Gunshots ring out in the air, accented by screams of pain, but you all stay hidden in a nearby corridor until the sounds grow fainter and fainter, Sheidheda clearing the halls ahead of you. Once you hear no more fighting, you tentatively slip from your hiding spot and walk down the hall, rounding the corner to find blood splashed along the walls and dead bodies scattered everywhere. You shake your head at the violent scene in front of you, thinking that surely Sheidheda didn’t need to be so brutal. Still, he got the job done, because there’s no one in sight to stop your approach.
Unfortunately, there is also no sign of Sheidheda. “He's not here?”
Clarke turns to look back at Octavia. “We knew that was a possibility, we'll deal with Sheidheda later.”
Levitt looks around at the bodies littering the floor, carefully stepping around dark red puddles of blood, his voice horrified when he whispers, “I grew up with these people.”
“That's war, Levitt.” Octavia turns to glance at him, offering him no sympathy for the horror he’s experiencing. “It looks exciting in hologram mode, but this is the reality.”
Clarke shakes her head, grabbing a few grenades as she walks past the bodies, barely glancing back at the couple as she continues on her way. “Come on. Right now, all that matters is getting to Madi.”
You all follow her down the halls towards M-Cap, your guns raised, ready for a fight with each new hallway you turn down. But you find no one, this section of Bardo completely empty, everyone gone in pursuit of Sheidheda. “Looks like our diversion worked.”
As you reach the door to M-Cap, Clarke nods towards it. “Levitt, you go in first. They won't see you as a threat.”
He nods, and Octavia quickly pushes the button to the room, and as the door slides open, you all get into position and step inside behind Levitt. The first thing you notice is that someone is humming, the tune comforting and familiar. The second thing you notice is Madi, sprawled out in the M-Cap chair, someone’s arms around her. And when that someone looks up, you swear you’re dreaming.
Because it looks like Bellamy.
“Bellamy?” You freeze in place, the gun in your hand clattering to the floor as you stare at him in shock. He looks up at all of you, his expression surprised, clearly not expecting to see you here. He’s out of the white robes and into a white top and bottom combo, the same thing that Gabriel used to wear, and you’re relieved to see no blood on his clothes. He looks a little tired, and his curly hair is unruly, flopped all over the place, but he looks fine. Healthy even, no sign that he was recently dead.
Clarke seemingly breezes past the fact that Bellamy is alive and well, her gaze solely focused on Madi, and he releases his hold on her to allow Clarke the room to take over. He stands, looking at you closely, his expression blank for a moment, and you worry that he’s even more brainwashed than the last time you saw him. But then his expression morphs into one of relief, and he steps around the M-Cap chair to walk towards you. “La lune.”
His voice is warm and thick with affection and emotion, and you start to run towards him, tears welling up in your eyes as he jogs towards you. He meets you halfway across the room, scooping you up in his arms and spinning you once, before putting your feet firmly back on the ground, his arms holding you tight. He tucks his head into the crook of your neck, and you can hear him crying as he whispers, “I’m sorry, I’m so fucking sorry. I should have never betrayed you. I should’ve listened to you.”
“It’s okay, it’s okay.” You pull away to look at him, tears running down his face and your own, and you whisper, “I love you. Oh my god, I love you, and I'm sorry I left you. I didn't want to, but-”
He cuts you off, “No, you were right to leave me. And you were right about Cadogan.”
It’s like the words remind him of something, and he turns to look at the others. “Levitt, something is wrong with Madi. Cadogan did something to her.”
You all turn to look at him in shock. “What?”
Levitt immediately crosses the room to grab the glasses that the disciples use for M-Cap, and for the first time since grabbing her, Clarke pulls away from Madi, realizing that Bellamy’s right, something is wrong with her. You miss the reunion between the Blake siblings as you rush over to your niece, though you can hear them quietly talking behind you. You look down at Madi in horror, catching onto what Bellamy meant. Madi’s eyes are open, but her expression and her eyes are blank, no sign of recognition in either of them. Her heartbeat is strong, but her body is limp, moving only when one of you moves her.
Clarke looks at you with tears in her eyes, and you feel tears in your own, both of you starting to cry as Clarke turns her teary expression back to Madi. “Madi, look at me. Say something. Please say something.”
Madi remains frozen, and Clarke lets out a panicked yell, “Say something!”
But still, Madi doesn't move, and Clarke pulls her into her arms, holding her tight as she sobs, rocking her back and forth, “Oh, my baby. My baby. My baby.”
You start to cry harder, not wanting to hear or see Clarke’s heartbreak, not wanting to see Madi’s blank expression, but you can't look away. You don't look away when you feel Bellamy slide up beside you, slipping his hand into your own, you don't look away when you hear Octavia and Levitt talking quietly behind you. You keep your eyes on your little sun and your shining star, unable to do anything other than cry at the scene before you.
Clarke lays Madi back down, before turning her teary face back to you, her eyes landing on Bellamy in the process.  You see surprise pass over her face, meaning she really didn't register his presence when you all stepped into the room. But her surprise turns to anger as she glares at him, “What happened? What did he do to her?”
Bellamy shakes his head, looking just as upset as the rest of you, tears streaming down his face too. “I don’t know. When I heard she was here, I came looking for her immediately. She was like this when I found her. Cadogan was already gone.”
“You said you’d keep her safe!”
Bellamy stutters a little, his voice thick with emotion. “I tried, Clarke, but I woke up in a hospital bed. I left as soon as I heard she was here, but it must have been hours after her arrival by that point.”
Clarke’s expression turns horrified as she takes in the weight of his words. He got to her as soon as he could to try to help her. But the reason it took him so long to reach her is because he was in a hospital bed. Put there by Clarke. You reach out for her, squeezing her shoulder to stop her train of thought. “Hey, hey, hey, this is not your fault. This is Cadogan’s fault.”
Bellamy whispers, “You couldn't have known.”
And though he doesn't outright say it, you know that his words are forgiveness. Bellamy offers his forgiveness to Clarke for shooting him, her anguish over Madi punishment enough. He offers her the olive branch, and it’s up to her to take it. Thankfully, she does, looking at Bellamy with genuine regret. “I shouldn't have shot you, Bellamy. I panicked, and didn't know what to do.”
“No, you were right to. I don't blame you for shooting me, it was part of a wake up call for me. La lune giving me back her ring, you shooting me, finding Madi like this, they all woke me up to the truth about Cadogan: he’s a monster. A psychopath obsessed with being worshipped, just like he was on Earth.”
And everything is simultaneously okay and not okay, because the confession is big, but none of you get the time to respond to it, because Octavia steps up beside Clarke, looking between all of you. “She can hear you. She knows you're here.”
Clarke nods and turns back towards Madi, trying to hide her tears as she smiles. “Hey, baby, I'm here. I'm right here.”
You lean down into Madi’s line of sight, doing the same to mask your hurt as you whisper, “Hey there, little sun. Ani’s here too.”
Clarke turns to face Levitt, who’s still standing off to the side. “Is it recoverable?”
“What? I-” The question catches him off guard, not sure if he should answer, but after a second, he solemnly shakes his head. “No. The areas of her brain responsible for voluntary movement have been destroyed. I'm sorry.”
The words make all of you start to cry harder, now faced with the reality that Cadogan has paralyzed Madi permanently in the pursuit of transcendence. It's enough to make you sick to your stomach. But that feeling only intensifies as Clarke glances off to the side, where her discarded pistol now lays, and after a moment of thought, she leans down to get it. You know exactly what she’s thinking because you know her better than she knows herself, and you shake your head, your voice soft and firm. “Clarke, no.”
She starts to cry harder, her hands shakily lifting the gun, determined to do what she thinks is right for Madi. But the sight breaks your heart, as Clarke can barely hold the gun steady, too overcome with emotion. Your twin that has bore it so the rest of you don't have to is breaking, and you know you need to be there for her. Which is why you drop Bellamy’s hand and reach out for the gun. “I’ll do it.”
She looks at you, expression heartbroken but hopeful, and you whisper, “I'm not letting you live with this.”
She nods a little, passing you the gun, which you take with now shaky hands. Clarke reaches out for Madi, putting a hand on either side of her face as she whispers, “I love you so much. Don't be scared, just listen to my voice, okay?”
And just like Bellamy was doing before all of you arrived, she starts to hum Clair de lune, ducking her head beside Madi’s so she can't see her tears. You lift the gun with a shaky hand, your own tears blurring your vision, aiming the pistol at her chest. But as you stare down at the blank expression of your little sun, you don't think you can do it, the burden too great for any of you to bear. You start to cry harder, a sob escaping from your chest, and Clarke looks over at you, nodding a little, letting you know that it’s okay, it’s time.
But you can’t. You stare down at Madi’s face, reminded of the girl that couldn't speak English when you met her, who caught Clarke with a bear trap. The little girl you taught how to drive, how to fight. The girl who inspired an army to fight for Shallow Valley. You shake your head a little, unable to do it, your hand starting to lower again. But then Bellamy reaches out and closes his hand over your own. You look back at him, and he looks at you, tears falling down his face as he whispers, “Together.”
You nod, and the two of you turn to face Madi, lifting the gun to aim right over her heart. And as your finger lifts to the trigger, Bellamy’s finger poised over your own, ready to help you, you whisper, “I love you, little sun.”
But before the two of you can pull the trigger, Levitt suddenly calls out, “No, he got the code!”
You pause and you all turn towards him in shock, and he catches sight of the gun in your hand, suddenly apologetic. “Oh, God. Oh, I'm sorry.”
Octavia asks, “The test code? Are you sure?”
“Hologram mode.”
He enlarges the memory so you can all see, watching as Becca’s fingers press the symbols on the Anomaly Stone, the room glowing in white before the memory ends. Clarke shifts her gaze from the memory down to Madi, her heartbreak giving way to hard anger. “He got what he needed and left her here?”
The words hit all of you right in the chest. This man that is so determined to transcend, to prove that humans are worthy, paralyzed a child to do it, and then left her alone. Bellamy was right when he called Cadogan a monster, and you can feel Wanlida smiling as she steps into view. “We have to stop him.”
Octavia starts, “If one man represents the entire human race-”
Bellamy finishes, “It can't be him.”
Levitt nods, looking between all of you. “We can still stop him, but we have to go now.”
Everyone seems to silently agree, and you and Clarke turn back to Madi. Clarke puts her hand on Madi’s cheek, and you reach out to squeeze Madi’s hand. Clarke whispers, “I'll come back. I'll be back after we stop the test, and I promise I will not let him win.”
She presses a kiss to Madi’s forehead, and leans back so you can add, “We’re going to stop him, Madi, and we’re going to fix this. I promise. Bill Cadogan thinks he’s unstoppable, but he’s never met Wanheda and Wanlida.”

POLIS THEY ARE IN POLIS!
THE REUNION IM CRYING!
“Where is Bellamy?” Poor Clarke she had to deliver this news to everyone and my heart broke. “you can hate me if you want to, God knows I do” BUT OCTAVIA HUGGED HER AND TOLD HER SHE UNDERSTOOD AND ALL IS GOOD FOR ME! EVEN ECHO UNDERSTOOD! (Bellboys fans SUCK IT) IM LIVING!! THE MUSIC IN THIS ENTIRE SCENE WAS SOOO ON POINT!
Tumblr media
“Where’s the funky ball with the green light” Oh Murphy I love you!
Madi is truly Clarke’s daughter. Look at that portrait
Tumblr media
“I like this meat sack it’s new.” Sheiheda and Cadogan… what could go wrong… aside from everything… JR Bourne is an incredible actor but my god Shiedheda is annoying.
Tumblr media
Jackson and Miller! baw chicka baw waw! Finally this 2 get more than just 20 seconds in the background!
Tumblr media
A piano and Niylah with Montys moonshine. I like been back on earth.
“You ruined my life just like you ruined yours.” WHAT THE FUCK MADI THATS NOT HOW YOUR MOM LEXA TAUGHT YOU TO RESPECT YOUR MOMMY CLARKE Oh shit I forgot about Madis friends in Sanctum. Clarke she is a teenager now, and an intelligent one. FYI I could never forget about Picasso. Oh Raven fixed the lights just in time.
Tumblr media
“Did Lincoln teach you that” Shit that hurt.
Tumblr media
“You weren’t my only teacher.”
“No, just the best.” I love you Indra. “We will face your demons together” She is definitly Octavias second mom.
This is pure hell for Octavia. Bloodreina flashbacks are giving me CHILLS!
Shit this is bad! Sheiheda is invisible. Madi will now realize why Clarke did what she did. Music and slow dancing. SHIT IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN!
Clarke panicking over Madi! my god I want to protect my baby!

LEXA PLEASE COME BACK, IT'S YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO SAVE YOUR DAUGHTER Madi needs to grow some ladyballs and be like her mamma Lexa and just kill Sheidheda. She judges Clarke for her choices but she’s fucked up numerous times now because she couldn’t take him out. If she had killed Sheidheda before they wouldn’t be worrying about her now. And she would be with Picasso and Monty and Jasper wannabes.
Sheiheda is full of knifes. He thinks he's part of the assassin's creed or something.
You know what This is Indra’s fault for not killing Sheiheda when she had the chance... TWICE!
How is Gabriel still alive?? Well not really..Octavia reciting the traveler’s blessing for Gabriel. my HEART

Day 79
100 Days of 100 Prompts
Another time travel fix-it idea
You want to prove you can do better?
Yes.
The alien judge agrees to send her consciousness back to a younger version of herself. She can choose when. She can also choose one person to go back with her.
Bellamy Blake.
Very well then. Good luck.
She chooses to go back to the ark. She tells her father that the ground is survivable, that he doesn’t have to risk everything to tell the people of the ark that it’s dying. They can send down the delinquents and volunteers to test it. She tells him everything and manages to convince him.
She finds Bellamy and is hesitant because the last time she saw him, she shot him. She isn’t sure if he knows why he’s back or if he even wants to see her. But as soon as he realises that she is the Clarke he knows he grabs her in a hug. She’s crying and apologizing and he is too and they hash through their shit.
‘I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to forgive myself for what happened before. I have to do better this time.’
‘You did the best you could with the information you had at the time. Of course you’ll do better this time. Besides, forgiveness isn’t about what people deserve. Even if it was, you DO deserve it. I didn’t agree with you but I understood even when it happened. I’ve been in your shoes Clarke, trying so desperately hard to protect the one you love.’
‘I loved you too though.’ She whispers, ‘And I killed you.’
‘I made my choice though. You didn’t understand it, couldn’t believe it and I don’t blame you for that. If I hadn’t gone through what I did on Etherea I wouldn’t have either. But I was trying to save us all.’
“And you were right. I was wrong.’
‘Not about everything. You knew Cadogan was bad news after all. I was too blinded to see it. That’s why we work best together. Maybe if I had explained it to you first, talked to you. Instead I told him you didnt have the flame and betrayed you. You aren’t the only one whose made mistakes Clarke.’
So The delinquents wont be the same if they go early but they manage to get the key members to volunteer at least. Raven, Finn, Miller (and Bryan), Murphy, Monty, Jasper, Harper, and so on. Aurora and Bellamy will volunteer and she makes sure (with her dads help) that Octavia gets on, either officially or snuck on. Jake will stay with Abby.
Clarke makes sure her dad knows that Praimfaya is coming and they will need to fix the oxygen problem so the ark can survive till after Praimfaya. They still need some people on the ground to run the bunker for the grounders though.
Clarke wont let them all die just because it would be safer and easier for the ark. She wont let Indra, Lincoln, Nyko, Lexa, Niylah, Emori and so on die. She wants to give them a chance. Between her and Bellamy and knowing the language and culture, they can pull it off.
Working together again, on the same side, reminds them how good they are together, how much better everything is together.

Note
I am so glad that the show ended in Season 5 with some bonus episodes where we see Bellamy save Clarke, Clarke in pretty dresses and dancing, and playing with doggo
We get to engage with the show anyway we want.
I know I’ve said a lot about sticking to canon, but I got to say, season 7 isn’t worthy of analysis anymore.
I don’t analyze EVERY story. Most tv shows are not complex enough to stand up to analysis. The don’t have a cohesive story that has a narrative you can count on. Until s7 this show DID. Now it doesn’t.
All I can say now about the full season 7 arc is... it had six seasons of comprehensive narrative with Clarke as the hero, Bellamy as the secondary hero and Bellarke as the backbone of the story. It was about what we would do to survive in the apocalypse. It was about learning to lead, and being a moral person. It was about making sure we deserved to survive. It was about healing from trauma and fighting to decide what to do with your own life. It was about looking evil in the eye.... even within yourself, and doing better. It was about how love is NOT a weakness. It was about getting up again every time you get knocked down. It was about fighting for those you love and for humanity.
Season 7 was not this story. It was a different story. It was about the transcendence of the human race as discovered by a cult leader from before the apocalypse. It was about how humanity died and how we were out of chances to try and improve, grow and fix things.
Clarke and Bellamy were only part of an ensemble cast. All of whom died, but Clarke. Murphy, Emori, Miller and Jackson’s stories were completely removed from the main story of transcendence, and were only about their love and ships, but lovely. Echo’s was irrelevant. Octavia was a half hearted resolution to her blodreina/skairipa storyline where she was like, ‘come on guys, let’s not fight.’ Good for her. Although the last war was definitely anticlimactic. Raven got to be the one to change the mind of the all powerful magic alien god, so someone finally gave her credit for how awesome she is, even though her road to get there was mostly irrelevant to the main conflict. Indra’s journey to taking charge of her people was pretty good, but it ended with her just blowing Sheidheda away to finally get rid of him... which was cool but it should have happened about three different times earlier in the season and that it didn’t, for no reason, seems to be to make him a plot device. Now everything in a story is a plot device, but when there’s no reason for them to be there BUT the plot device, that makes it cheap. PLUS his death was anticlimactic. Boom. gone. Over. Stupid. Bellamy’s ending was the worst. It just went poof as if he weren’t important. However, tertiary characters got better deaths than he did. Shit. The pathos of Tor Lemkin in season 1 was what made me fall in love with this show. Bellamy puffed out into nothingness the way Sheidheda did with the earth mover. As if he never existed in the show before.
And then there was Clarke’s ending. Which was HORRIBLE. Not so much horribly written as a nightmare of blaming Clarke for all of humanity’s sins. Like how could you do that to Clarke? She became a CARTOON of her own self, storming through Bardo killing people left and right for vengeance.
Those are the characters.
Except for Raven, Indra and Octavia, none of them had any agency in how this story turned out. None of their goals were realized. They didn’t save anyone. They didn’t lead their people. They didn’t make life better for anyone. They didn’t find love... oh wait. Octavia and Levitt. (ugh so bad and cheesy sorry levtavia fans. it COULD have worked but they didn’t earn it imo. it again seemed forced so that they could have an inside man plot device which they should have had with Bellamy. and speaking, why did levitt, who tortured octavia, get forgiveness while Bellamy, who was their hero forever, did not?)
Clarke, who started out the series wanting to do what was right, ended the series mindlessly gunning down people. And that COULD have been her long term trajectory, except in season five and six, she came back from being broken and alone and committed to doing better, to being better. Not to mention, we DID that broken hero with Octavia in season 3, 4, and 5, and she ALSO came back. Not to mention we did it with Bellamy in season 3 and he ALSO came back. And with Diyoza. Who got her redemption in saving everyone and turning to crystal.
UGH.
In a story about the redemption and salvation of humanity, about not always being sure if they’re worthy of survival, about trying to be the good guys and failing sometimes, season 7 was about-- nope, humanity are pricks. They’re either mindless sheep who follow, or violent creeps who destroy, or psychotic cult leaders who dominate.
LOL. There weren’t any heroes left. No, wait. Last minute clutch players, Raven, Octavia and Indra. Who didn’t have ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE DRIVING CONFLICT THE REST OF THE TIME.
HOLY MACARONI this season was a mess.
And then in the story about the redemption and salvation of the human race, they DELETED the human race by Deus Ex Machina.  Just like they deleted Bellamy by unearned brainwashing, and deleted his impact on the story by “so much for together.” The center of the narrative was poofed away, unearned.
Clarke was PUNISHED for everything she did to save them, even when she sacrificed herself. And she was CANONICALLY attempting to save humanity as a whole and canonically the only person who was NOT tribalistic.  And they poofed away her character and made her a crazy Dany.
Also the concept of bittersweet ending, of victory at a cost, was completely reversed. This was not a victory at a cost, it was a failure with consolation prize. VERY different ending.
New theory.
Season 7 was written by someone else. None of it fits the rest of the show.
I am now blaming Kim Shumway. The bitch can not, as it turns out, tell stories. Maybe she can write when someone else directs her what to say but she should never be in charge of a story again.
Ulitmately it was JR’s responsibility so he doesn’t get a pass. And he didn’t care enough about his story to see it through but instead was enamored with the prequel.
But this is a different story told by a different vision. It is NOT The 100.

Hold your horses, the 100 fans!
How are we supposed to get ANY closure if there’s only one episode left!?
Tumblr media
Judging by the state of this fandom, I’m one of a few people who is actually excited about most of what happened this season. This show has always been unpredictable and that is something we have definitely seen this season.
Spoilers and hypotheses:
We have so much to do and so little time to do it. Last episode gave us a bunch of cliffhangers and they aren’t the only loose ends that need tying up.
Bellamy isn’t dead. I refuse to believe he is. We haven’t seen a funeral, a pyre or a corpse floating in space. He. Is. Not. Dead. But if he isn’t. I mean... since he isn’t, how on earth Sanctum/Bardo are they going to fix this mess?
Then, on the subject of Bellamy. Bellarke Endgame, hello? Damn it. DAMN. IT. I’m sure I’ll get over it though. I’m a Merthur shipper. I will survive another ship that doesn’t leave the shore.
That being said, is anyone getting an endgame here? Emori is dying really really badly hurt, but she’ll be fine. She has to. Where did Miller even go? We might have Hope and Jason, but that’s hardly something I ship, I mean... They’re cute and all but I’ll have some Octavia x Levitt any day of the week.
If Emori dies, their tag is going to be In Memoriam and that’s the hill I’ll die on. Say it with me; In. Memoriam. Thanks.
Echo? Niyhla? Just.. gone? Also, we never buried Gabriel. That’s just sad.
Sheidheda was badass last episode. He had his moment. I doubt he’ll just lie low now, but that was actually pretty fun. “Attention sheep, I’m here to kill your shepherd.” I died. But he can stay quiet now so we can focus on
MADI. MADI KOM LOUWODA KLIRON KRU. What. The. Hell. She is the bravest soul, and now she’s literally just that. No control over her body. Damn it. Do you think they’ll put her on a mind drive and put her in Clarke’s body when Clarke leaves hers to take the final test? She did shine though, this episode, especially when she channeled her inner Clarke and told Cadogan to go float himself. That was so good. You know Clarke taught her that. It’s not something Grounders ever said. So she’s using the worst insult Clarke has taught her. And I love her even more for it. Were those her last words? Shit, I think they were.
Speaking of last words, I feel like there are so many characters who still haven’t quite wrapped up. There’s what’shername from Elegius IV (you know, the blonde who almost killed Raven over the lover Raven might have melted...), Indra, Gaia, ... AND
RAVEN. REYES. Who is currently taking The Gang™ back to Sanctum so she can heal Emori. She will, by the way. Emori is going to live and give birth to a beautiful Memori-baby. We can’t do this to John. Or me. But mostly John.
And then. Then there is T H E   L A S T   W A R . And the whole debate on whether or not it’ll be Octavia. Or Clarke. Or shithead Cadogan who takes the test. And what the test will even be. I am so confused. So worried.
And so extremely excited.
The 100 has been a show I’ve followed since the very beginning in 2014 and I’ll be sad to see it end. I am grateful to the creators who made it what it was. No matter how much hate they’re getting right now, and whether or not that is deserved is not even the question here, so please don’t start a fight in the comments!, there is no denying they have created something amazing, which is the reason everyone is so emotional about what is happening right now.
If they hadn’t portrayed great characters, you wouldn’t have been upset over any of them dying. And that’s the hill I’ll die on, just as long as they leave my poor babies alone.

'Wake up, Y/N.' I heard a voice from a distance, after a while I realized it was Octavia calling for me.
Slowly gaining full consciousness again, I felt my head pounding and my ears ringing. The explosion had me blacked out for a long time and now the sky was already dark.
'You feel alright?' She whispered as she laid on the ground. 'Don't move, the patrols are watching us from above.'
'Don't worry, I wouldn't be able to move even if I wanted to.' I whispered back and sighed. 'They shot my leg earlier before the explosion.'
'We should try to move when the lights aren't hitting us. I'll help you up.' Seeing the pattern from the lights going left and right, it seems as though they were detecting Wonkru with them. 'They won't see us when the lights aren't flashing this way.'
With my cheek against the ground, I tried looking around without moving anything but my eyes. 'Where's Bellamy?'
'I don't know, I haven't seen him. Maybe he escaped because I haven't seen Indra either.' I was scared that once we try to rush off to meet with the others, we'll discover Bellamy dead on the ground.
'Stop, don't think like that. You have that look on your face.' Octavia breathed as she watched my facial expression, 'Bellamy is okay. We have to worry about getting out of here first. Can you get up?'
'Why are you so eager to save me, O? Are you genuinely caring or are you scared to face war alone?' It was stupid of me to bring this up now at a life-or-death moment but it just blurted out; I couldn't keep nice with her anymore and needed to let everything out.
Octavia raised her voice but still in a low tone. 'Of course I want to save you. How can you say that?'
Her voice had a harsher tone but her face said it all; she feared something. All of what was happening right now scared her.
'You're scared, just admit it. We know each other too damn well to lie to so jus-'
'Okay! I'm scared. Is that what you want to hear? Damn it, you're going to have to get the fuck up or we're both going to die here tonight.'
After years of putting up a front, we were both finally honest; six years after hiding our true feelings, I knew how uneasy that was for her to admit everything and show her vulnerability. All of it was hard for me too, doing the same thing to Bellamy.
Letting all the anger out probably made us both feel better because now, it was quiet between us. Shortly realizing we had to get moving, I finally spoke up. 'I-I don't know if I can make it, my leg is pretty messed up.'
Octavia crawled slowly next to me as she gripped on my hips tightly. 'We go together when the next light passes.'
Both of us eyed the light that flashed across the dark area, going left and right. When the light finally left our sight, I quickly got up even when the pain was nearly unbareable.
'Now!' Octavia whispered loudly as she practically carried me across to the big boulder that would be able to cover us from the search light.
'Y/N? Octavia?' Bellamy turned to us, 'I thought you guys made it out. You guys okay?'
Both mine and Octavia's eyes widened, scared that we ran into one of McCreary's men. I was also surprised to see him still here.
'Y/N is hurt, really bad.' Octavia replied to her brother as she slowly set me down against the boulder. 'What should we do now?'
Bellamy chuckled in frustration, 'We? You're the one that got us in this mess. You can figure this out on your own.'
'I tried, okay? And I'm sorry. Can we please just find a way to get us all out in one piece please?'
He sighed, 'Can you walk still Y/N?'
'I can try but I don't know if I can stay up for too long. I'm pretty much useless.'
'I'll get you out. I just need a distraction.' Octavia was determined to get me out of here, I've never seen her so serious; the last time she was, it was the day Wonkru chose her as leader.
'Guys, I appreciate it but let's be real... I won't be able t-'
Bellamy cut me off, denying everything. 'We're getting back to the others one way or another.'
Octavia stared at her brother and took a breath. 'He's right Y/N. I got an idea but Bellamy, you're going to have to carry Y/N and run as fast as you can.'
'What are you going to do Octavia?' I asked with concern. Octavia and I had a bit of a rough patch but I didn't want anything bad to happen to her.
'You two just go.' Octavia bit her lip as she saw my facial expression. 'What? Earlier you were eager to fight me but suddenly you're worried about me?'
I eyed Octavia in awe, worried about what crazy scheme she was planning in her head. What bothered me the most about this was that Bellamy wasn't doing anything to stop her.
'Whatever you have in mind, I don't like it. Oct-'
'Y/N look, everything that's happening right now is my fault and I need to fix this. Fix Wonkru, fix our friendship, fix everything I've broken in the past six years. Let me do this.'
'No, I'm not letting you.' I shook my head and quickly turned to Bellamy. 'Please help me out here, stop her Blake.'
Bellamy looked at me and then his sister in silence, I knew he was thinking about this situation in his head and I didn't like that he was hesitating.
Shoving his arm, I grunted. 'Stop your sister!'
'I can't.'
'Why not?'
'Just let her do what she needs to do.'
My nose twitched as tears started falling from my eyes. I hated that I was crying but I felt so hopeless and useless. My leg was starting to feel numb and I couldn't stand that I was so damn vulnerable.
This wasn't how I imagined being back on the land after leaving the bunker. Things were supposed to be joyous and that's all I hoped it would be.
Of course that wasn't the case.
Just as if I was on the Ark again, it was never happiness but always a disaster. I didn't know why I even bothered to hope for change. It never worked.
Octavia grabbed my hands and tried to smile, 'Omon Gon Oson.'
'Don't do this, I can't lose anyone else.' I sniffled, 'It's supposed to be me and you, always remember?'
'You're going to be fine.' She mumbled before she walked into the enemy's vision. What was worse was that I couldn't even jump in front of her to stop what she was doing and Bellamy didn't move a single muscle.
Octavia raised her hands and put it behind her head, surrendering in front of McCreary's men. All the lights flashed right at her, getting all the attention. I bet they loved that Blodreina was finally on her knees and not fighting back.
I closed my eyes shut as I heard Octavia scream. She let out all the pain and the suffering that tortured us throughout our lives in hell. This was it for us, the final path together but I couldn't take one last look at her; seeing her lying on the floor would've been agonizing.
My eyes shut tighter as I heard guns from a distance, slowly coming towards us. I knew something wasn't right because the sound of an engine came closer as well.
'They came...' Bellamy muttered under his breath as the Rover stopped right in front of Octavia.
'Get in now!' Echo yelled from the passenger seat, shooting towards McCreary's army.
Bellamy picked me up and rushed to the Rover as John opened the back door for us to hop in. 'Come on, we have to hurry.'
Octavia joined us in the backseat and John quickly closed the door. 'We're good to go!'
Madi switched the gears and turned the car around quickly while Echo slowed them down, getting an opportunity to drive off without any problem.
Echo smirked as she turned her head around, 'Glad to see you all alive.'
'Y/N's leg is pretty fuc-'
'I'll be fine.' I interrupted Bellamy, hoping the stern tone from my voice wasn't too obvious that I was infuriated with him. How could he just leave his sister like that?
Emori shifted her eyes toward me and scratched her head. 'Funny how we're back to where it all started.'
Thinking back to the time where Emori shoved me through the rover, I chuckled lightly. 'What a throwback, huh.'
'Wow, this isn't awkward at all.' John joked.
✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤
'Y/N? Y/N?'
Jumping back to reality, my eyes followed the direction my name was coming from. John waved his hand in my face, trying to get my attention. 'You with me here?'
'Oh, yeah. Sorry.' I said casually as he sat next to me. I've been in bed rest since we got back to camp and I was getting easily distracted by my thoughts.
'That's all I get? Not even a "I missed you." Huh?' He laughed lightly as he reached for a hug, 'Because I surely did miss you, Y/N.'
Hugging him tightly, I responded. 'Of course I missed you. I was just distracted for a bit, sort of forgot you were in the tent with me.'
'You know, I was hoping I would catch you with warpaint across your face like Monty said. Apparently you scared the shit out of him and Harper.'
From embarrassment of my dark and nasty past, I faked a smile. 'Ah, yeah. Not my finest moment.'
'Hey, if it makes you feel better, I'm sure you looked really hot. The "grounder" look would've been so-'
Immediately, I lightly punched him on his arm. 'Don't say stuff like that considering the fact that you have a girlfriend. Emori already hates me as it is.'
'Ah yeah...' John scratched the back of his head and sighed. 'News flash, her and I aren't dating anymore. It's a bit complicated.'
'Relationships are always complicated.' I looked to the ground as the first thought that came to my head was about Bellamy.
It wasn't even our "complicated" relationship that I was thinking about, it was how he betrayed his sister and left her to die out on the field that bothered me so much.
'Let me guess, Bellamy?' John said.
Looking up as our eyes met, I tried to pretend otherwise even when it was clearly about him. John knew me too well, chuckling as he saw me try to hide my emotions. ''You're so easy to read, Y/N. Look, I've heard about you and the whole Skafaiya transformation but you're always the same person deep down. I don't buy the whole "princess of hell" bullshit.'
'You're the only one who thinks that, John. You also haven't seen the real me. The dark side that I unleashed down at the bunker.' Flashbacks of the killings gets me every time; I hated that I stooped so low.
'I've known you for a long time, Y/N. Whatever you went through and done at the bunker, I'm sure you did it for a reason. I don't believe you as a bad guy or having a bad side, ever.'
John's smile made me feel warmth that I haven't felt in a long time. I'll never forgive myself for the things I've done but hearing John say that about me gave me some sort of hope.
We've known each other for so long, from the day we met in Pike's class, both of us getting locked up in the Skybox until now. It was nice to know John's genuine thoughts about me after the tough years we faced together.
'It's nice to hear that, really but there isn't an excuse for the all the bad stuff I did.'
'Y/N, I've done some bad things too.' He laughed everything off and continued, 'Let's see, I accidentally turned off our oxygen source everyone was pissed. Uhm, I tried going a week without eating Monty's nasty Algae. Yuck. I eventually gave up because I was starving.'
His "bad things" was nothing compared to mine but knowing his old tricks, I knew what he was doing. 'You're still really good at distracting me, I see.'
'Yes I am.' He continued to think about the last six years in the Ring, 'Ah. Bad news for you but Bellamy and I fought almost everyday. You have to give me some credit though because I didn't start all the fighting and arguing.'
'What did you guys fight about this time?'
'Honestly, about you.' John raised his eyebrows and tilted his head down. 'Which is also kind of the reason why Emori and I broke up years ago.'
Furrowing my eyebrows, I started to worry. I knew Bellamy and John never saw eye to eye but I never wanted to ruin their relationship. Especially with Emori, I felt terrible that I was the reason for their problems. 'If it's about the fight before Priamfaya, I-'
'She was out of line when she pushed you out of the rover. Jealousy or not, she could've almost killed you.' John took a deep breath, stressed from remembering the tense memories. 'It wa- that wasn't the breaking point for our relationship. It did make me mad but...'
'But what?'
John paused for a moment; I figured he didn't want to talk about his breakup between Emori which was why I didn't ask again. Before I tried to change the subject, he spoke. 'I told her I still loved you.'
It was a complete surprise, considering I never thought that this would happen at all. We've both moved on, found someone else for ourselves. I'll always have a place in my heart for John but he seemed so happy with Emori, I would've never thought.
'Hence the tension between Bellamy and I. Emori eventually told him about my feelings towards you and ever since, we've been fighting like crazy. So much for happy Spacekru family, huh.' John nervously chuckled.
'John, I-'
'No, no need for an apology or anything. Emori always had doubts about our relationship so it's not anything new. Don't worry about it.' It was easy to tell his smile was fake, 'Besides, I know you love Bellamy. I don't want to get in between you two.'
We both stared at each other, it was weird how I felt. John was my best friend, my only best friend from the Ark that I had left after Finn died. We have so much history together and we've come a long way.
I didn't know if it was his empathy or my anger for Bellamy that made me feel something different for John. It's been a long time since John and I even had a slight connection but it didn't feel all that wrong.
Both our head turned as we heard Bellamy come into my tent, John gave him a smug. 'What's up?'
'What are you doing in here?' Bellamy questioned him.
'A friend can't visit me in my tent?' I rolled my eyes as I got on my foot. John and Bellamy watched me like a sad puppy as I stood up on my bad leg. 'My leg is fine. Just a little sore.'
'You need to rest, Reyes.'
'We came back, I've rested. Now the suns up which means it's time to get a move on.' I walked slowly, limping as well but it didn't bother me as much as Bellamy bothered me.
John sighed, 'Y/N. Getting Shallow Valley is important but we can do this on our own. You're mor-'
'You shut up Murphy.'
'Leave him alone.' I glared at Bellamy and approached him. 'Seems like betrayal runs in the family huh? You and Octavia are exactly the same.'
Bellamy shook his head, 'Is that what you're mad about? Do you really wanna talk about betrayal right now?'
John got in between us, facing me as he tried to calm me down. 'I'll be fine, John. Just walk away because I don't want you to get hurt.'
As he nodded and walked out of my tent, Bellamy laughed sarcastically, 'You think I'm going to hurt Murphy?'
'You know I was really, genuinely happy about us trying to move on. I get that Octavia has done some things she isn't proud of but so have I.' Hoping that this will be a peaceful conversation, I kept my tone of voice. 'If you're considering being at peace with what I've done, why can't you with your own sister?'
'It's not the same- she's my sister.'
Watching Bellamy crumble as he thought of his sister reminded me of the reaction I was going to get when I finally see Raven again. Maybe in a way I understood, it was more of a disappointment perhaps.
I can't even imagine how disgusted Raven felt about me knowing what I've done. I knew that Raven would be so disappointed in me as well as embarrassed to even be associated with me.
It was hard to fully understood Bellamy's point of view in this but thinking from Raven's perspective I tried to sympathize with his thoughts. The fact of the matter was it didn't change what Octavia and I both did.
The only thing I could do was nod in response, acknowledging Bellamy as he thought about his sister's change. Not thinking anymore of their relationship I tried changing the subject. 'Are we all ready to head out?'
'Reyes, you're not serious are you?' He knew I wouldn't give up and Bellamy was worried now more than ever, especially because McCreary showed no mercy. Hearing what he has done to our people, he didn't want anything worse to happen to me.
'My sister is taken hostage by a psychopath and our "beloved" Clarke Griffin. I can't stay here and do nothing.' My sarcasm was uncalled for but considering our past and what she was doing to our friends, I couldn't care less.
Bellamy knew I was too stubborn to listen to him, he sighed. 'Come on, we have a plan.'
✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤
'Octavia kneeling for a natbleda, can you believe that? Now that Wonkru has a new commander, we might actually have a chance.' Emori praised as she drove the Rover.
'You think that little kid can lead a clan?' John chuckled, 'I mean better than Octavia I guess but I don't know.'
'All Wonkru wants is a natbleda to follow. Madi is smart and capable, I believe in her.' Echo followed up with John's question. She then turned to me and eyed my leg. 'I'm more worried about you Y/N.'
It was weird being on the same side of history with a woman that nearly killed me and my friend in the past, now she was worried about my injuries. 'I'll be fine once I know that Raven is okay.'
'Ah fuck!' As we heard bullets hitting the Rover, Emori punched the dashboard. 'They damaged the engine.'
'We need to go now.' Bellamy grabbed his machine gun and left the Rover with Echo who had an arrow on her hand.
John screamed as the bullet hit him on the shoulder, 'Fucking pricks!' He grabbed tightly onto the remote that activated the weapon that was attached to the Rover.
The enemy's voices echoed throughout the valley as Murphy shot them one after the other. Followed by a huge explosion thanks to Bellamy and Echo, the screams coming from the other side were now silent.
'Done.' John breathed heavily as he held onto his wounded shoulder.
Quickly rushing over to John, I checked his wound. He chuckled, 'Ha. Now we have a matching bullet wound.'
'That's not funny. How are you feeling?'
John stared at me with a serious look on his face. The sudden change of his mood from sarcasm to seriousness scared me a bit. 'What?'
He suddenly grabbed onto my cheek and crashed his lips on to mine, everything took me by surprised and I didn't know what to do but to pull away. 'Jo-'
'Saw the opportunity and I took it.' He laughed a bit. 'You didn't seem like you hate it though, Y/N.'
John wasn't entirely wrong when he said that but I was confused about my feelings towards him and Bellamy. 'You're lucky Emori isn't in here or she would've thrown me off the rover again.'
'I wouldn't let her hurt you.' John smiled as he opened the door to the vehicle. 'Besides, I saw her leave the rover.'
There it was again, that feeling in the pit of my stomach. The same butterflies I felt when John and I started dating for the first time up at the Ark. The feeling I got when Bellamy and I had our actual kiss before we went into Mount Weather.
It was all coming back again but this time it was for someone other than Bellamy.

Walking the rest of the way to Shallow Valley felt like a journey. My leg was starting to hurt ridiculously again and I honestly didn't know if I could go any further.
'Y/N, you're bleeding.' Madi pointed my injury out as we were getting close to the Valley. I've known for a while about the blood but I didn't want to slow the group down. 'You should sit down.'
'We don't have time to sit down. For all we know, McCreary has Raven at gun point and I cannot take the risk.'
Madi stood next to me, wrapped my arm around her as she helped me walk. 'Well we can't have both of you die.'
A chuckle escaped my mouth, 'That is true. This is why you're our commander. Smart girl.'
She smiled as she continued to help me, 'Speaking of, I wanted to ask you about that. Are you mad about everything?'
'Why would I be?' I shook my head, seeing concern all over Madi's face. 'I've really fucked everything up. You've been here for only a while and already making a huge difference.'
'Thanks. Clarke always loved talking about her friends and I loved hearing your story. With all your hard work you put for your people before Praimfaya, I couldn't believe everything that happened in the bunker.'
'Clarke's friend?' I laughed, 'Friend isn't how I describe our relationship.'
Madi nodded, 'Yeah, she told me everything that happened between you two. How one of her biggest regret was almost shooting you.'
'It wasn't the shooting part that made me mad, it was why she almost did it.' Still until this day, I knew that what Clarke did was wrong; trying to shove everyone out of the bunker including our own people.
Suddenly, a huge siren rang across the whole forest. It sounded like it was coming from the valley, which we were close to.
'Everyone listen up. I need everyone to rush to the transport ship now. There is a missile on the way down here and you guys have nine minutes.' Raven announced.
'Guys we have to hurry.' Bellamy looked back as him and Octavia led the group up to Shallow Valley. Panic flushed when he saw me leaning on Madi. 'Reyes, is it your leg?'
'Yeah, it's bad.' I bit my bottom lip, trying to bare the pain as the stitches were coming out. 'You guys need to go. I'll try to catch up.'
John yelled, walking to my side as he helped me also. 'Are you kidding me? We are all getting to that ship, together.'
Emori watched Madi and John help me walk through the Valley. 'Should you really be helping? Your bullet wound on your arm is still bleeding, John.'
'I'll be fine, Y/N can't even walk.' Him and Madi tried to get me to walk faster but at a pace where I wouldn't be in too much pain. 'Just in case this whole "missile is coming" thing is a trap from McCreary, it'll be better for you, Miller, Echo, Bellamy and Octavia to be in the frontline.'
Echo nodded her head, 'Good idea. Better safe than sorry.'
Bellamy stared at us suspiciously, mostly glaring at Murphy. 'If you are suddenly in pain where you can't help Y/N anymor-'
'I'm not letting anything happen to her.' John muttered as he motioned Bellamy to keep going towards the ship.
'We'll stay back here with you guys in case anything happens.' Harper smiled sweetly, walking along with Monty as we all continued to walk to the ship.
✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤
'Why do you always do this to me?' I mumbled, watching Kane sleeping peacefully on the hospital bed. He had gotten stabbed on the neck by one of Abby's patients from Diyoza's crew. Because of all the blood he lost from it, Kane was now unconscious. 'All the fucked up things you've done to me and I still don't want you dead.'
Even with my tore up leg from getting shot, even when we barely made it to the ship before the nine minute mark, even after all the things that happened between us, I cared about Marcus.
It wasn't fair that I had to feel all these pain when all Marcus did was leave me, just like he left me when I was a kid. All the bond we recreated over the years for him to betray me once again; not once but twice when he allied with Diyoza to destroy Wonkru.
All I wanted was for him to believe me; Trust that I didn't kill those innocent people because I wanted to. It was his girlfriend that blackmailed me to doing things I shouldn't have done. Abby Griffin had all of us wrapped around her dirty finger.
My thoughts were sidetracked when I heard the door open to the nurse room. Thinking it was Abby checking on Marcus, I gave a glare.
Instead it was Raven, standing there with a straight face as if she saw a ghost.
This was the moment I've dreaded since I came out of that bunker; the reunion with my sister after all the horrible things I've done down there.
Staying still on the chair next to Marcus, I didn't move at all. I was too embarrassed to say or do anything in front of her. I felt the judgment in her eyes as she looked at me up and down.
Raven approached me without changing her facial expression, heart beating faster and faster each step she took towards me. I've never been so scared to talk to her, or anyone for that matter.
She kneeled on my level to where I was sitting and then hugged me, 'Y/N... I'm so sorry.'
This wasn't the reaction I was expecting at all from my sister; she held me tightly and sniffles as she started to cry.
'I'm so sorry about everything you've went through. I can't imagine all the pain you're carrying right now.'
'No, no.' I cried with her, knowing that I didn't deserve her sympathy at all. 'Everything was all my fault and it went too far-'
She grabbed onto my cheeks, 'You and Octavia did the best you can. Okay? Things did get out of hand but no one else stood up by your side, like this man right here. Kane was supposed to support you but he didn't. It was just you two leading Wonkru.'
'You two were just kids trying to make it work, thought you did what you had to do. I'm sorry you had to go through that all by yourself. If I had just come back with Murphy and Emori-'
'If you'd gone to the bunker with them two you would've been dead, Raven. You couldn't have fixed yourself if you haven't stayed like you did. You're the last person I'd blame for any of this.'
Raven smiled softly, pulling me in and wrapping her arms around me once again. 'I've missed you so, so much Y/N.'
'I've missed you too, Raven. Thank you for not hating me.' I cried harder, relieved that I didn't lose my sister.
'Nothing could make me hate you, ever. You're the only sister I have. You're family, Y/N.'
✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤
Both of us gossiped about all that things that happened within our lives in the past six years. Hell, more than that because I haven't seen her since she left Arkadia to go find some supplies at Becca's lab.
She even told me about Shaw, one of Diyoza's men that wasn't like the rest of them. Matter of fact, he helped Raven throughout the whole process of trying to get Shallow Valley. Although we failed at that since now were in space once again, he saved our lives from that missile McCreary launched before his death.
It made me happy that Raven found someone after Wick. She had a hard time trusting people and letting them in, after meeting Shaw I knew he was the right guy for her. They were so cute together.
As Raven and I were both giggling, Bellamy saw us from across the hallway. He then smiled and waved at me.
Bellamy checked on my leg as he walked over to us. 'How is your leg?'
'It's better now that I'm not moving too much. I'm more curious of the healing process during cryo. Do you think it'll heal or stay wounded?'
'That's what you're worried about?' Bellamy chuckled and then caressed my cheek. 'You're such a goofball and I've missed that about you, Y/N.'
Not knowing why Murphy and the kiss we shared in the rover was stuck in my head, I shifted my eyes away from him. The guilt was building inside me, even when I wasn't in the wrong at all.
Bellamy and I aren't together anymore, he was in the process of trying to forgive and forget. It was an exciting moment when he told me that but now I'm conflicted in my own heart and mind.
'You alright?' He rubbed my shoulder softly as he looked at me, 'Is it about the Octavia thing still?'
'No, not really. That's between you and her and I should've never butted in. I'm sorry.'
He shook his head, 'You two are really close now and I actually admire that you care so much about her. It's just tough for me to figure her out right now.'
Raven tugged on my shirt from behind. 'Okay Bellamy, time is up. Can I have my sister back?'
'We only got to talk for a few seconds.'
'I haven't seen Y/N since Arkadia burnt to the ground, I win.' Raven smirked, pulling me away from him and walking to the other direction.
'Can I see you before cryo, Reyes? I won't be able to see you for years again.' Bellamy shouted through the hallway.
'Maybe.' Raven responded, giggling as she walked beside me.
Bellamy laughed, 'No. The other Reyes.'
I turned around, flashing a smile towards Bellamy. 'I'll see you later, Blake.'
Raven continued to laugh as we strolled away from him. ‘No thanks to McCreary’s dumbass psycho self, we have to live up in space again.’
‘Live? We’re going to be in cryo for God knows how long.’ I sighed, ‘Finally we get out of this hell hole and now we have to literally start over. For all we know, we will never have a place to live ever again.’
My sister smirked at me, ‘Aw. Are you cranky because you couldn’t spend time with your dear old boyfriend?’
Playfully rolling my eyes, I softly hit Raven on her arm. ‘Har, har. And no, we aren’t even dating. Taking things slow.’
Although in my mind, I’m in a weird conflict between having feelings for both Bellamy and John I could never tell Raven. I loved her but I didn’t want to speak of something before I was completely sure of what my heart really wanted.
Raven smiled, 'You know I'm really glad you and Bellamy patched things up. With the whole Murphy hating, Echo kissing drama that was going on in The Ring, I neve-'
'Echo kissing drama?' I furrowed my eyebrows as I questioned Raven. 'What do you mean?'
'Oh. He never told you.' Raven's smile faded away as she realized that I knew nothing about this situation. 'Harper caught Echo and Bellamy kissing a few times. We don't know if they went all the way bu-'
'A few times?' My heart dropped, not knowing what emotion to feel about this. It was anger for Bellamy but majority was dissapointment and betrayal. It was tiring for me to keep crying over people that seem to not care about me.
Raven grabbed onto my forearm, 'Y/N I'm so sorry I thought you already knew about all of this.'
'No it's not your fault.' I pulled my arm away from her and ran away, embarrassed to cry in front of my sister. I heard Raven call for my name multiple times but I continued to run away, I just wanted to hide from everything and everyone.
"How could Bellamy do this to me?" was all that replayed in my head. Preaching about being for our own people and he couldn't even be there for his own girlfriend.
Why would Bellamy bash me about betrayal when he turned his back against his own girlfriend?
I never wanted to survive Priamfaya; my plan was to stay in Arkadia with Jasper all along until Bellamy changed my mind.
All the pain and suffering I went through in the bunker would've been all avoided if Bellamy never dragged me into surviving for him. The worse six years of my life was for him and he threw it all away.
'Ow my shoulder! I just got shot you know!' John and I bumped into each other as I turned the corner. He saw my face wet from tears and quickly turned to my direction. 'Woah, what's wrong Y/N?'
'Nothing.' I mumbled to myself but John knew it was bullshit.
He pulled me into the room that was right by us, sat down on a chair and sighed. 'Want to try lying to me again?'
All the bullshit Bellamy has been putting me through, I didn't want to repeat again. Thinking about it would've made me angrier and I also didn't want to cry harder in front of Murphy.
Bellamy betraying me hurt me but what was even worst was that he made me feel terrible about the way I acted down at the bunker.
I already knew I was a mess down there, I knew what I did was wrong. Everyday I walked down the halls at the bunker as Skafaiya, I regretted every single thing I've done.
After all the worse things I could possibly do in a life time, John still saw me for who I truely am. He gave me light and hope that I desperately need right now. Especially when I didn't deserve it.
'Did you mean all the things you said about me?' I just wanted the pain to be over; with all the constant backstabbing that was happening around me, I wanted to be with someone that truely cared about me. 'When you said that I'm not a bad guy.'
'Y/N, you're one of the most selfless person I've ever met. You do the things you do because you care about people, I know that and so does Raven.'
Leaning down to the chair, I gave him a kiss. John was highly confused on what was going on, he pulled away. 'Wha- what are you doing?'
'I thought that's what you wanted.' I muttered under my breath.
'So what about Bellamy?'
'What about him?'
John licked his lips and whispered. 'Y/N, if you're fucking with me I swea-'
'I'm not.' I looked into his eyes as I cupped his cheeks. 'I want you, John.'
'Okay... okay.' He nodded as he accepted my kiss this time, gently pulling my body on top of his lap.
It was an odd feeling, being intimate with John again but in a good way. A great way.
All the touches from him I never thought I'd miss, his aggressive but gentle grip was so nostalgic. The more I thought about it, the more I felt like this was supposed to happen. John and I were supposed to be together again.

The Last War fan review
So, our beloved show has ended. And while I wish things would have gone differently, I did cry with relief when Clarke looked over and saw everyone already waiting for her.
Anyway, I wanted to share some of my thoughts on the finale.
1) Going right into the title sequence kind of shocked me. It wasn’t that big of a deal, but I was just immediately like “oh.” It was a bitch-slap in the face that they left a gap in the credits for Bob Morley. Why you gotta do us like that?
2) Murphy screaming “come on” while they used the defibrillator on Emori was heartbreaking. And his little whispered encouragements were so freaking cute.
3) Clarke rampage? Yes, please! I love me a badass woman. However, unlimited ammo is a sin in writing. The moment Octavia picked up the sword was a big “oh yes.”
4) Did Cadogan not care about his son like at all? Lmao. Why is he so hung up on Callie and not his other kid (who I can’t even remember the name of). I don’t care if they explain in the prequel, that’s still a shitty parent choosing favorites. Along with his wife, like, was she not his greatest love? It was Callie? Kinda fucked up.
5) Why the fuck could Jordan figure out it was a test and not a war in 5 seconds when the Disciples were studying that shit for decades? I know he’s Monty’s son, but he’s not a genius or anything.
6) Thoughts on the test: I think Cadogan would have failed and the human race would be destroyed. Why bother asking questions if you already know all the answers?
7) Why wasn’t Gaia in the finale like at all?? Like, what the fuck. She was hunting??? For what?? That really annoyed me because I’ve grown to really like her and there was no point in her not being involved in the last episode. They seriously couldn’t have thrown her in there? Like, come on! Even Niylah was there! (not saying that I don’t like her, it’s just that Gaia has felt far more important to the story than her).
8) I do think that Jasper and Hope are cute together, and I know they spent the majority of their lives either alone or only with their parents, but GOD I can’t stand how awkward they are. Also, I know ya’ll have feelings for each other and shit, but is now really the time to be making out?? Why do people think that’s okay in literally the worst situations? I know it’s a show, but come on.
9) And how the fuck did Jordan throw and catch that sword? He’s a child who’s never fought a day in his life. Unless they suddenly want to tell me that Harper and Monty were secret ninjas and taught him all their tricks, I don’t believe that.
10) I’m being pissy and bringing up things from the past, but I don’t care. Why the fuck couldn’t Harper and Monty gone into cryo? I know they were happy and shit, but I’M NOT. How the fuck did it take so long for him to get into the files for Sanctum? His ass has done that shit a thousand times before in about two minutes and suddenly it takes him 80 years? Bullshit.
11) I’m still being pissy, but how the fuck does Jordan know what a magician is? “For my first trick, I will make an army appear.” Bruh, no. Monty wouldn’t have known what a magician was either. If they weren’t being taught what a Navy Seal was, there’s no way they knew what magicians were. Calling bullshit on that one as well.
12) I was pretty surprised that the Disciples didn’t start firing on Wonkru immediately. Like, this is the war they’ve been gearing up for forever and they don’t attack as soon as possible? Also, where the fuck did Wonkru get their war paint? Do they just constantly have it on their person? Or did their asses literally spend time making their paint before going to Bardo?
13) I fucking love Miller and Jackson. They’re freaking adorable. Murphy’s flat “I am glad you are safe” was so fucking funny. Also, saving Emori in one scene just to kill her in the next is bullshit. They should have just killed her the first time and done the same thing anyway. Murphy screaming at Jackson to do something and sobbing was heartbreaking. Fantastic acting on Richard Harmon’s part.
14)  Octavia putting on Lincoln’s same warpaint again was once again, so sad. I miss that man. He was too good for his own good. And while I do think that her and Levitt are very cute together, I’ll always prefer her with Lincoln. But I think that he would be really happy that she has found someone new to love.
15) Apparently whatever Echo “did” to Levitt was so forgettable that I don’t even know what she’s talking about. Bad writing. I shouldn’t forget that in just a few weeks, I should remember as soon as I see the two of them in the same room.
16) Lexa. Just all of it. There were some suspicions that she would show up for the last episode, but I didn’t really believe them because I didn’t understand how she would be integrated. I’m glad that they did bring her back, but I’m also not. It was amazing to see her back by Clarke in all of her armor and glory, but knowing it wasn’t actually Lexa was just a punch in the face. It wasn’t her mind, so it’s almost like they didn’t bring her back anyway. I honestly would have preferred if they used someone else for her Judge, because that just really didn’t do it for me. Their hug was sweet, but it didn’t even count as her returning. I personally think that her Judge should have been Bellamy or Madi instead, as they both certainly could fill the role of “the subject’s greatest teacher or the source of their greatest failure...it can be their greatest love.” This is just my preference. Believe me, I know how much Lexa meant to Clarke, but as a fan, bringing our favorite Heda back in that way wasn’t the best way to do it. As a writer, it makes sense, but it doesn’t as a fan. The writers can’t just think of what is the best storytelling, they have to think of what those watching will think.
17) I’m confused about the mindspace? Why did Clarke wake up in her solitary room with her memories painted all over the walls, but Emori woke up in the castle with a view of the desert? Why wouldn’t it have been her and Murphy’s cave? Is there a reason it was the bedroom and not the cave?
18) I know this isn’t canon in any sense, but could you imagine if Murphy and Emori fought over John’s body and she won, and then suddenly woke up with a penis? How fucking funny would that be? Just had to throw that out there.
19) Can I just again reiterate how fucking cute Miller and Jackson are?
20) I’m curious about the location of the test. Why did Cadogan’s take place on a pier, while Raven’s happened on the Ark? If it was their favorite place, wouldn’t Raven’s have been actually out in space? Like during a spacewalk? I’m confused about that.
21) I knew that Raven was somehow going to be involved in the test just because of the trailers we got for the final episode. My two guesses for who the judge would be were Finn and Abby. Though I am happy that we got to see Abby again, I would be curious to see if the scene would have played out any differently if it had been Finn.
22) Where was the full line that was given in the trailer? Because that was amazing. “We’re selfish, and we’re violent, and we have destroyed too much, but we survived.” I loved that line far more than what we got instead, which was simply, “Have we made mistakes? Yes. Clarke, me, all of us, but we were just trying to survive.” I definitely would have chosen the former over the latter. Poor choice on the editors’ parts.
23) How the fuck did Octavia and Echo go out to the field and get Levitt with Echo only being shot once? With all the bullets, the three of them should have been torn apart, I don’t care how much Indra could cover Octavia. Calling bullshit on that as well.
24) Bringing this up kind of late because I’m giving my reviews as I’m rewatching the episode, but what they had Eliza do was really fucked up. Her and Bob suffered a miscarriage during the filming of season seven, so the scene of her holding Madi and crying “my baby” is like 10 times more heartbreaking. If they made her film that after having a miscarriage mere days, weeks or few months before, that’s really, really messed up.
25) They really played-up Sheidheda’s bringing back of “jus drein jus daun” in the trailer. In reality, it was far less intense. I would have preferred what I had been expecting, which was him coming to help convince Wonkru that they would be able to win. However, I am super glad that he is dead and Indra finally got to kill him. I love how that bigass gun just turns people into mist lol.
26) The beginning of Octavia’s speech was literally like “what the FUCK guys” and it was hilarious. And I swear to god if I hear her say “we are Wonkru” or “you are Wonkru” another time, I’m gonna scream. I know it was legit the last episode but I’m sick of it by now lol. When Indra was like “I hope you know what you’re doing,” Octavia’s face was just like “omg me too” and it was really funny.
27) Bellamy. His situation was a whole problem itself. He deserved a hell of a lot better and wHY DID HE CUT HIS HAIR I LIKED IT THE LONG WAY. Anyway, you can bet your ass I’ll be writing a different ending where he didn’t die because FUCK THAT. When I do, I’ll be sure to share it.
28) I’m fucking confused about Murphy and Emori both transcending. Because, what the fuck. Emori died. The dead don’t transcend. Her mind wasn’t even in her body, it was in Murphy’s. So how the fuck did she end up alive and in her own body again. I’m glad she’s alive, but I just don’t understand. It would have made way more sense to have either not had her die in the first place, or to have Murphy, Miller, and Jackson keep pumping her heart so she technically “lived” anyway like Echo.
29) If Madi had decided not to transcend, would she still have been paralyzed? I mean, I would assume not because Levitt and Hope’s gunshots were healed, as was Emori, but I’m curious. Also, wouldn’t Raven’s leg have been fixed? Because if they only fix recent wounds and not old ones, that’s stupid.
30) On the point of Madi deciding not to transcend, why did she? Why didn’t so many other people choose not to? Like, not one Eligius prisoner or person from Sanctum chose to live? No one else from Wonkru? Why didn’t anyone else other than the main cast and guest stars not transcend? I totally understand the Disciples transcending, but seriously, nobody else wanted to live? That’s really weird. Madi and her friends really couldn’t have chosen to live on Earth with Clarke and the others? I just think it’s really unrealistic that not one single person outside of the group chose not to transcend.
31) I was really surprised that Murphy and Emori chose not to transcend, because as the Judge said, they would eventually die and not join them in the infinite. It shocked me due to their fear of dying and wanting to be immortal, but I’m really proud of them.
32) I’m disappointed that those who don’t transcend can’t have children. There were suspicions that Emori might have been pregnant (which were never confirmed), but the idea of her and Murphy having a kid together was adorable. They’d have their teeny tiny families with those two, Hope and Jordan, and Octavia and Levitt.
33) This isn’t as much me pointing out a problem as me wondering, what was Clarke going to say to the Judge when she turned around? What else did she have to say or ask? Was it about Madi? Or maybe Lexa? Or just transcending in general?
34) It’s pretty shitty that some of our questions went unanswered due to the fact that there will be a prequel. On the other hand, I live for lore, so I’m just glad that they eventually will be answered. But still, that doesn’t excuse shitty writing.
35) I want to see a stupid edit of Picasso taking the test where the Judge is Madi.
I think we all know that season seven was really not what we wanted it to be. We’ve been really disappointed by the writers and unfortunately, this is what we got out of it. I believe they really could have done a better job, but I am at least glad that everyone ended up together.
The writing was lacking. Too many questions were left unanswered, I don’t care if you’re making a sequel or not. Plot holes. It really could have been a good season if it was done better.
My ranking of the seasons is as follows: 3, 2, 4, 1, 6, 5, 7. Seasons 4 and 1 are kind of interchangeable for me in spots three and four, as are 6 and 5 in the two spots behind them, whatever the order may be.
But I still love the show. I love the characters, their development, and many things about it. It has been quite the journey and I am glad to have been a fan of the show.
May we meet again.

Anon asked for: A situation where Clarke defends Bellamy so I wrote a season 3 canon divergence, where Pike is caught and killed but since Bellamy was part of his team, he is locked up and the council needs to decide his punishment.
“We can’t just let him out there, restore things to the way they were” Stevenson, one of the older council members and good friend of her mom raised his voice to a high pitch which made Clarke itch she could cover her ears with her hands but instead she just ends up leaning forward and trying to gather her composure.
This council meeting must’ve been one of the longest she’s ever attended and though the trial of those who had been a part of Pike’s group had been going on for a week now, they all knew Bellamy’s case would be the hardest.
“He provided guns for him, they organized a coup, this boy needs to be punished, not just set free!” another council member, this time, a woman who’s name Clarke thinks is Rita, joins in.
“He thought he was doing the right thing.” Clarke tries to keep the calm in her voice but it proves fruitless when it just sends the other nine members of the council raising their voices in disagreement with her.
The only two who remained calm and quiet still were Kane and her mom and she knew that they’d have a big impact on the decision of Bellamy’s fate in the end when everyone was done barking their pieces.
Right now Bellamy was locked inside a cell, isolated from the others and when she went in there to see him last night, she was surprised and then quickly outraged, to find that his face was beaten up to a pulp and there was an open wound on his head, the blood from which streamed down his face and colored it  red.
He hadn’t talked to her when she yelled at the guards to let her in and help him, he refused to let her fix him and she had to force  him to stay still so she could at least examine the wound on his head.
“Go away, Clarke!” he had hissed at her, pushing her away so hard she almost stumbled on her feet “You can’t be here!”
“You’re bleeding out.”
“And I deserve it. Now get out!” he had said and she left but later sent in her mom to try and patch him up.
He still fought her on it and the guards had to keep him still so she could wrap his head and clean his cuts because he refused to be helped.
In the end they were forced to sedate him because he was struggling so much, he was actually further injuring himself.
When Pike was caught with the help of no other than Bellamy, the grounders had brought him to camp, led by none other than Lexa and Indra.
Everyone involved in the massacre was arrested and Pike was stripped to a pole and killed in the way Finn should’ve been barely months ago.
Then they insisted on dealing with the other soldiers, wanted to kill them too but Kane and Clarke had managed to talk them into letting them serve justice on their own and decide what should happen with them.
Indra and Lexa agreed but only if they were still publicly lynched so the people of Arkadia knew what would happen if one of them dared to disobey the coalition and raise their hands on the grounders again.
Bellamy was among one of the ten most trusted and valuable soldiers in Pike’s group so he was strapped to a pole like his already dead leader and lynched with a whip while everyone were forced to watch.
They hit them until they passed out.
For some of them that happened quite fast, after the tenth or twentieth hit, but Bellamy made it to the fifty second, as if he insisted on punishing himself as much as he could, before his body slumped forward and his arms that were tied around the pole, went limp.
After, they were strapped to a pole, arms tied at the wrists again and bodies hanging over a beam with feet barely touching the ground for three days, only taken down to be given water twice a day before they were strapped once more-yet another excruciating punishment insisted of the grounders so that the skai people learned their way.
After, they were locked up-everyone together except for Bellamy who the council insisted be set apart as he could be dangerous and incite another coup.
Clarke was the only one who knew that was impossible-he was barely aware of his surroundings most of the time.
She was the one who insisted on being the person to give him his water and every time he was let down he refused to drink, again, as if wanting to punish himself further.
She had to force a few sips in his mouth but he spat them away, looked into her eyes with his lost brown ones before he spoke quietly.
“Give it up, princess.” which broke her heart.
She knew why he did what he did, she understood his stance as much as no one else wanted to.
The grounders had killed more people than she could count before the adults even reached the ground, they had hurt them and attacked them, killed them while they were hunting or getting water from the river or even just taking a walk. And they had betrayed them in Mount Weather and forced his and her hand to do the impossible.
Following someone who promised that they’d be safe and taken care of, that they’d expand and things will work out instead of giving him and the kids false promises, made all the sense in the world for her when it came to Bellamy.
He had always wanted the best for their people. Not the elders, the kids.
He had went into that damn mountain to protect them, to take them out safe and sound and he had but then she left him to his own devices and still, no matter the mental and physical toll it all took on him, he tried to do just that.
He might’ve made a mistake but in his head, this had been the right thing at the time and she could never blame him for it.
Not when she was the one who abandoned him.
“He killed three hundred grounders, I think we’re lucky to be alive right now at all!”
“Oh, please, he was just a soldier following orders!” Clarke bites back at Lewis, another council member who had insisted Bellamy be executed with Pike when the grounders came to serve their justice “One person can’t kill a fucking army.”
“You’re defending him because you’re no better than him.You went into that mountain and-”
“That’s enough!” Kane raises his voice and the table finally goes silent. As the newly officially elected council, Clarke knew he’d have the last word so she rest her head on her hands and breathed in. “I have heard all of your points and-”
“You haven’t heard shit!” Clarke bursts out angrily standing up and leaning on her hands.
“Clarke, sit down!”
“No, I won’t sit down, mom!” she barks at her and looks around “None of you are looking at the bigger picture here-yes, he was involved with Pike, but he did it for the only reason he’s ever done anything in the past year-to protect the kids! He thought he was doing the right thing!”
“Yes, but he is older than the so called group of delinquents-” Rita bursts “He should know better than to follow Pike.”
“He was manipulated!”
“Oh, please-”
“Didn’t any of you stop for a second to think that you wouldn’t be having your children right now if it wasn’t for him going into that mountain and saving them?” she pins her look on those members who she knows had kids in Mount Weather “That includes Peter, doesn’t it, Rita?”
“This was something completely different.”
“How? How was it different? He thought following Pike was the right thing to do to protect the forty eight, how can you not see that?”
“This is pointless.” Kane raises his hand to stop this and looks at Clarke forcing her to sit back down “Why he did what he did doesn’t matter anymore. We need to focus on what comes after.”
“So it doesn’t matter he was the one that helped us catch Pike?” Clarke raises her voice again “You will so conveniently forget about this detail?”
“We’re not forgetting about it, Clarke. It is the reason why he wasn’t executed with him and you know that very well.” another council member, Wilson whose kid Lee was one of the delinquents,  joins in the fight and runs his hand down his tired face.
“But he was Pike’s right hand man, he did give him guns and then followed him into that field, killing people in their sleep. What do you propose? We let him out there and restore his position in the guards after all this?”
“Yes, because as I said, he did the right thing in the end.” Clarke said but her voice was drowned by the other council members right away.
“I say we banish him.” Stevenson suggests “We can’t keep him here, he can start another coup and overthrow this council.”
“Are you kidding me?” Clarke stands up again “Have you looked at him? Can’t you see how fucked up he is? He has PTSD, he’s struggling to stand on his feet, the guards beat him day in and day out, he’s not safe in a damn cell in camp, let alone out of it. The grounders will kill him the first chance they get!”
“And they’ll solve our problems!”
“Rita, that’s not right and you know it!” Kane interrupts the commotion again hoping to restore the order “No matter what he did, Bellamy’s still one of us. If anything, all of us failed him, failed those kids. We can’t expect them not to go out there and try to find someone who want.” that gets them all quiet and somber up the mood around the table
“We are responsible for Pike and what he did, not Bellamy or any of those involved with him. We let it come to this which is why no, we can’t just banish a twenty-three year old kid out in the woods to be killed in a matter of minutes.”
Clarke’s surprised when no one argues with that but a quiet round of “That’s true” and “Hmms” goes around and that makes her breathe a little better.
“Clarke’s right, he did go in that mountain and risk his lives for your children and he did in the end, realize his mistake and helped us catch Pike.” Kane adds “We have to take this under consideration.”
“We also need to take in consideration his mental and physical health.” Abby speaks up for the first time, her eyes lingering on Clarke as if she knows exactly why she’s fighting so hard for Bellamy.
“Clarke’s right he does have PTSD, like most of the kids that were sent down here, but his has worsened. He doesn’t sleep and has nightmares...I’m afraid he doesn’t care what really happens to him anymore and those guards who beat the crap out of him every day are not helping the situation. Frankly...I think we should all be ashamed that we’re letting this happen. Those men deserved to be punished for breaking a fellow soldier’s ribs and splitting his head opened but I don’t see you discussing that right now even though you all know it.”
“If this was the Ark, he would’ve been floated.” Rita announces clearly unaffected by their passionate speeches.
“Yes, but we’re not on the Ark.” Kane says harshly and bawls his hands in fists. “So we need to figure something else out.”
“He still has to make up for what he did. I don’t believe he can be a guard anymore.” Clarke huffs at that.
“So he can’t be a guard but I can be a council member after I melted 200 people in that mountain?”
“That’s not the same and you know it.” Wilson joins in again and the voices raise into a loud pitch once more, some agreeing or disagreeing with him.
“It’s survival. It damn right is the same!” she hits the table with her fists scaring the shit out of them all.
“Clarke, if you don’t take it easy, I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” Kane threatens just when she’s just about ready to rage hell unless they listened to her. “I say we should hear to what Bellamy has to say on the matter too.” Kane nods at the guards by the door “Bring him in.”
“He shouldn’t have a say, he’s a damn prisoner” Rita huffs under her nose and Clarke itches to kick her in the shin with her boot.
When they lead him in, he’s dragging his feet, his face is a mess of bruises and cuts, some of which seem way too fresh to Clarke and considering they weren’t bandaged like the others, she makes the conclusion they’re fresh and probably from this morning when he was brought breakfast.
His left eye is swollen shit, his wrists are covered in lacerations from where he had struggled against his cuffs and his head was wrapped in a big already dirty white bandage that had leaked some judging by the red spot on the side of his forehead.
They don’t untie him but instead leave him in the middle of the room, just a few feet away from the council members table and once he doesn’t have the support of the two guards, he staggers on his feet and has to will himself to stay standing so he doesn’t pass out on the floor.
“Bellamy Blake, you stand accused of treason according to the Exodus charter before the Arkadia council” Kane begins but Clarke almost misses the words, entirely focused on him. He looks up at them with his one opened eye and he seems like he has no idea where he is at all. “How do you plead?”
There’s a moment of silence in which he doesn’t say anything.
“Bellamy, how do you plead?” Kane asks insistently again but Bellamy simply stands there completely dumbfounded and shaking, probably out of fear, Clarke thinks and that’s the tip of the glass for her.
“Jesus, can’t you see he’s not alright?”
“Clarke-”
“What’s wrong with you, people?” she stands up again but instead of leaning on the table, she circles around and carefully approaches Bellamy. “Hey” she says carefully.
“Clarke, step back, he can be dangerous” she hears his mom’s voice behind and snaps her head back at her.
“He’s not dangerous, he’s breaking apart! Can’t you fucking see that?” they grow quiet at that and she reaches for his face but when he takes a step back as if afraid from her, she opts for his elbow.
“Bellamy, do you understand what’s going on here? It’s okay if you don’t, we just need you to tell us.”
He looks around, then his eye falls on the table, then back to her and it takes him a moment before he nods.
“You’re here to kill me.” he mumbles finally and it’s so barely audible and so weak and broken that Clarke’s heart shatters into a million pieces.
“No, we’re not.” Kane says behind them and Clarke moves away so he can see the councilor, but she doesn’t leave Bellamy’s side, instead she stands there, hand still on his elbow, supporting some of his weight so he doesn’t pass out. “We’re trying to decide on a proper punishment for you.”
He doesn’t say anything at that again.
“Marcus, I don’t think he’s in a condition to do this now-” Abby begins after seeing what Clarke had just a minute ago-he might be standing there before them but he had no idea what was happening.
He was shattered by PTSD and brought apart by physical pain. Clarke was sure the injuries on his back from the whipping still hadn’t healed.
In fact...she had no idea if the bandages have been changed at all in the past few days since the event.
“We have to. The camp needs to put this matter behind us and you know Indra will come asking about the outcome of the trials in just a few days.” he reminds her “Bellamy do you-”
“I know what’s going on.” he finally speaks up and his voice doesn’t come out weak and confused. When Clarke looks at his face she sees some sort of recognition there and lets herself breathe a little easy.
“Good. Now let’s go back to where we were. How do you plead?”
“I’m guilty.”
“Alright.” Kane sighs and runs his fingers through his hair before he continues ”Well there’s been some debates going around here about what we should do with you after you’re released. Do you have anything to say in your defense, something that could help us take a decision?”
“No, I don’t.”
“Bellamy-” Clarke tries but he interrupts her.
“I don’t care what you do to me.” he tells the council “Don’t tell me you do, princess?”
“Of course, I do.” she insists, squeezing his elbow as if to prove her point but he just smiles and shakes his head at that.
“Kill me or don’t. I probably deserve whatever’s coming my way.”
“No, you don’t! Bellamy, you tried to help our people, you trusted that Pike could keep everyone safe and make life better, did you not?” she was trying to help him but he refused to comply. He looked at her and there was so much confusion as there was surprise in his eye that it made it clear for her, that he wasn’t certain why she was even here trying to defend him after everything he’s done.
“Clarke, I think you two should wait outside while we talk this once more and call you back, okay?” Kane says and nods at the guards before Clarke can protest that she needs to be here when they make this decision but the men come on both their sides and start shoving Bellamy back to the exit.
Clarke tries to fight them, barks at them to stop pushing him so hard but they won’t listen.
Once outside, they push him on the floor and he curls up on himself on the ground. She kneels near him and puts her hands on his legs.
“Hey-” she says gently “Everything will be alright.”
He laughs sadly.
“Nothing has been alright for a long while, princess.” she swallows hard at that and looks away before he speaks up again “What are you even doing here?”
“Someone has to defend you.”
“I don’t deserve it.”
“Yes, you do.” she moves up and covers his curled up body with hers “You do.” it’s an awkward hug but it’s the first one they’ve shared in a while and though it may be painful for him, though he may still be shivering under her, he lets her push his head to her chest and wrap his broken body with her arms.
He doesn’t say anything else, but he closes his eyes and lets her hold him.
He wants to tell her it’s the most human he’s felt since Mount Weather but he doesn’t. He’s afraid if he does, he’ll start crying.
They call them in twenty minutes later.
He almost trips over when he stands up and this time he doesn’t have the strength to stay on his feet so the guards have to hold his arms to keep him upright when they read him his sentence.
“After much consideration and debate-” Kane begins “The council reached the conclusion that once you’ve healed, you are to join the construction crew in our camp. We can not allow you to join the guards for obvious reasons and we refuse to banish you or lock you up indefinitely. We believe, it is in our and your best interest if you try to rebuild this camp and fix what you have broken by participating in Pike’s rule.” Clarke tenses at that.
This wasn’t the right call and they all knew it.
Physical work would be demanding for his body even if he took a month to recover which she was sure they won’t give him.
But what was worse was that the construction crew consisted of the worst of the camp’s men and women-mostly ex-prisoners or angry soldiers who were removed from duty after making unfixable mistakes, there were a few con men and petty thieves, but mostly low lives who loved making each other’s lives miserable.
One of them could be easily paid to remove Bellamy from the picture and make it look like an accident. Stab in his side or a push from the rooftop of a building and he’d be gone before he even opened his mouth to scream for help.
Which she wasn’t sure he’d even do.
He’d have to leave camp and go to the clearing where they’d have to chop woods for the cabins they had to build, which also made him an easy target if any of the grounders still decided to retaliate and kill him out there in the open.
This wasn’t a solution.
This was the council hoping Bellamy Blake dies at the hands of an angry wife or brother or daughter whose relative he had killed at the massacre. That way they’d wash their hands off of him and Indra would be more than pleased.
It was a death mission.
And she won’t let it happen.
“Do you have anything to say for yourself?”
Bellamy shakes his head and looks straight ahead once again as if he wasn’t even there, as if this was happening to someone else and not him.
“Then you’re free to go now. Guards, take off his cuffs and get him to medbay.”
Clarke lets him carry him away but she wastes no time lingering after though her mother and Kane call her name. She has nothing to say to them anymore.
Instead, she heads to her tent, gathers all her stuff in a bag and then finds the rest of the delinquents.
At around midnight, she sneaks in medbay and finds Bellamy sleeping in a cot on the end of a long row and she shakes him to consciousness.
“Hey, come on, Bell, wake up!” she whispers in a rush and looks around, hoping no one saw her come in and that Jackson’s still asleep in his office. “Come on, we have to go!”
“What’s happening?” he asks when he focuses on her and watches as she pulls away his blanket and grabs both his wrists to help him sit up.
“We’re leaving.”
“What?”
“You and me, we’re going.”
“Going where?”
“To the sea. If you stay here, you’ll die and I’m not going to let that happen.”
“Clarke-”
“Come on, the kids will help us out, but we have to go, now!” he doesn’t question her, doesn’t ask why she’s willing to sacrifice everything for him.
Deep down, he thinks it may be because she feels in her heart what he always has felt in his too but he doesn’t dare be that arrogant.
You couldn’t be prideful in love...you could only be hopeful.
He puts his clothes on and let’s her help him out.
They disappear into the night and for the first time in forever, he’s not afraid of the darkness.
In the morning, Abby finds his bed empty and when she asks around for her daughter and finds out no one has seen her, Kane sends in a team searching the woods for her but she knows nobody will find any trace of them.
And she can’t say she’s surprised.
