A no fail easy gulab jamun recipe. Gulab jamun is a fried dough sweet made from milk products soaked in sugar syrup originated from India.
Gulab Jamun Recipe
Ingredients needed for the dough-
▪1/2 cup milk powder
▪2 TBSP flour
▪1/2 TSP baking powder
▪1 TSP ghee/butter
▪5 TBSP milk
-Mix the dry ingredients, then add the milk little by little to form a soft-sticky dough. (Don't knead it too much).
- Then make some ball shapes using the dough and fry them in medium heat in oil.
- Once it's done frying, make the sugar syrup.
Ingredients for the sugar syrup-
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 cups of water
-Add them to a pan and bring it to a boil.
- Once it starts boiling, add in the fried gulab jamun balls and close the lid while keeping the fire still on. Boil them with lid closed for 10 mins. Remove the lid and boil them again for 5 mins. Let them cool down, and there you have it! Your Gulab Jamuns are ready to eat.
