Interesting, how Sunny's findings end up having such a different tone to the rest of the gang :< boy really gets no breaks. We don't really get to see how he's feeling, but we still have the shock by the extreme sudden focus on the photo that the game gives.

The most time consuming one is RIGHT HERE. Active time that went into this one is too much. Pluto was intimidating, but this one ended up a little tiring even - too many reworks.. for my taste at least :D ANYWAY- Title screen 3, worth it 100%. It's INTERESTING, it's unsettling, it gives you a unique feeling of unease that completely contrasts the mood of the last day. Or does it? After all, we don't really look at sunny - the protagonist too much during the day. He is getting up to shenanigans, but we discuss literally everyone else (exception would be maybe the games and the comics - some minor focus on Sunny). That brings me to the idea - maybe the title screens are where Sunny's mind is generally at. We do get the notion that he tends to wander, so it's not off to be focused on his dreamworld and wanting to go back to sleep first couple days, then literally spend time in Black Space, and then to be thrown between reality (scary? fun?) and the nightmare from last night and unease from where he left off (terrifying) Brain worm

The art that I wasn't able to finalize even with the allnighter I pulled for the game finale x"/ I'M SO SAD ABT THIS ONE, I love it a lit but man. Man. Having to leave it for the likely Forever-WIP pile.. The little memories make me feel so much :< Many of the memories we get from Sunny are in the Faraway itself - and locked away in lost library. Though, the ones in the Photo album are, surprisingly, the ones he feels connected to most. maybe because they aren't smudged by years of trauma and denial, but instead miraculously survived his first real acts of denial, and gradually brought him back to the now. Might speak more ore less on that later - i had these thoughts for memory lane actually!

VERY VERY LOW QUALITY DOODLES BUT (severe rambling below, based off a conversation with @ksenya-and-the-artistic-cucumber)

I’ve been obsessed for ages with the idea of a Mari Boss thats similar in some aspects to the Omori Final Boss fight: especially in the confrontation of the truth (“You loved her and you killed her”)

I’m not 100% sure when I would set this in terms of the game plot but it would definitely happen at some point towards the end of the Hikkikomori route, possibly before the death of Stranger.

While the Boss Rush Mari was already an awesome way for Sunny to be confronted with the weight of what he’s done to his mind, I feel like a more direct approach where Mari actively asks and then begs him to accept the truth would be SUPER impactful for the player

Killing Mari would be a final straw in the rejection of the truth - killing the sister Sunny loved so much because she tries to convince him to confront the truth of the incident, and being able to create a Better, Newer version in Headspace who leaves him to lie to himself and the others.

Dbdidnsisjisjaa i just think that Mari giving Sunny a chance to take an easy win, to guide him through Memory Lane and help him work through his fear of the truth, and Sunny promptly killing her and burying himself deeper in denial would be SO GOOD

Because it also adds an extra layer to the “You loved her and you killed her” - the first time was a complete accident, but this is a conscious choice. Sunny is actively deciding to murder his sister (this is made WORSE if you think of DW!Mari/Something as a guardian spirit who is legitimately Mari trying to help him).

Bonus points:

-Mari never actively harming Sunny because even if she’s angry or upset she doesn’t want to actually hurt him

- Most of Mari’s “attacks” are just status effects like slowing Sunny down or decreasing crit rate

- There is no Run Away option: this is no longer within the players control, this is a direct consequence of the players choice to pursue the Hikkikomori route

- At the final stage of the battle, the “attack” button and all skills turn into lie - it does the same damage, and Sunny doesn’t really need to bother with healing since Mari won’t hurt him

1) Curicó by Kiltro, honestly just the entire creatures of habit album. I freaking love kiltro, they're up there as one of my favourite bands.

2) I need love - Studio mix by Akira Yamoaka, Akira is probably one of my favourite guitarists ever and I absolutely love all his work on silent hill. His music is really diverse, some of its kind of a 2000 dark ambience/Lo-fi, some of its rock, some of its pretty chill and then the rest is the sounds of the damned lol.

3) August moon by Gregory and the hawk, just a really nice song I like to listen to when I want to chill out :)

4) The mind Electric by the miracle of music, probs one of my favourite songs ever and the entire album is awesome as well, I love this song so much just for the final part alone because it goes so damn hard I love it. It sorta inspires some of the little au's and ideas I have in my head. I know it's not "technically" a Tally Hall song but I generally love everything done by Tally hall, especially '&' as well as 'ruler of everything'.

5) Endless cycle from Hylics 2, I love the Hylics Ost and I am honest to god super excited to play it. I did want to make this list without video game osts because if I did we'd be here all damn day but I've been listening to this alot and it's just a damn good song. Also Xeno Arcadia is great as well.

There's alot of other bands and music I really like so I'll just quickly list them off because I really like them and don't just want to not mention them at all.

currently reading: 20 open tabs on Ao3 including stuff for Omori, End Roll, Fire Emblem Awakening (but for One Specific Type Of Thing Only), The Owl House, and a couple more lol. Mostly those tabs are just open for me to check on in a few months while waiting for specific stories to update, or rooting around for something new to peek in on.

10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw?

Ohhh boy howdy a toughie, actually. I'm not a clothing person, despite (very recently) delving into (a normal concern for) fashion a bit. My favorite clothing to draw would probably be the most challenging to make look good, though? There's nothing I adore more than learning and when I find clothes that I draw once and go "huh. that dont look right" and spend hours trying to understand, I learn a lot. And what I learn helps me design clothes, whenever I feel like it!

But........ with that in mind i love wrinkly clothes. stupidly wrinkly. satisfying when i draw it right, wrinkly.

19. Favorite inanimate objects to draw?

I DESPISE inanimate objects. They're such full of... rigidity, lifelessness, a lot of the time. Or they're so fluid/random they're too easy to draw. But I do like painting inanimate objects. Shiny stuff that looks cool in the light.

I always felt like this was something that was missing from the actual game - like an actual personal consequence that we can tangibly see happening, of Sunny cutting off Mari from showing him the truth and truly abandoning and betraying his sister.

Mari loves him but that also means she is able to criticise her brother when she needs to, and what hes done in these routes is beyond forgiveness

Oooo, Ksenya with the mega ask! <3 Let's see...

The Stranger appearance in my mind is that their body is completely pitch black, no outline besides their silhouette. On top of that, their body shifts and stirs like TV static and has the essence that their made of float off their body that only gets worse with heightened emotions (The Truth being a main culprit behind that). Their eyes are soul-piercing like they are in-game, but also somewhat twitchy, like the "pupils" are almost always shaking, and are worse with heightened emotions as well. Their eyes also remind me of the Colossi from Shadow of the Colossus, so I see the "eye cracks" (don't know what to call the fractures lining the outside of his eyes) as continually rotating and (thanks to that one Nightshade fic I read) the eyes can become blue when subject to hopelessness or extreme sadness.

Since I am in love with the Spirit Mari & Stranger friendship, I like to think that Spirit Mari is always trying her best to keep Stranger's mind busy from his nihilism by any means necessary. Which means puns. She has so many bad puns that she has accrued from her and Sunny's pun battles (yes, they have tons of those, I am right about this) that she has no shortage of them. Most of them get a disappointed sigh from Stranger, but it still works from having them distracted by the thoughts of impending doom, so he's quite thankful for that.

And lastly, a headcanon I absolutely adore is that whenever Spirit Mari takes place of a Dream Mari at a basket and a Stranger or THE Stranger passes by on their routine pass through Headspace, she won't turn down the opportunity to have them get a little sit-down and maybe get some food (they don't get anything from it, but it faintly reminds them of what they used to be). If it's her favorite boy, she will ask how he is doing and what's the progress of Sunny's rememberance. He, unsurprisingly, is a bit sour most of the time, not from her, but from the seemingly fruitlessness of this task at hand. But Mari still is hopeful of her brother, so Stranger has to hold onto some hope too.
