[ad_1] With last week's loss, the 4-10 Washington Commanders are officially eliminated from playoff contention, and a new era in Washington may be just a few weeks away. The belief in league circles has been that new Commanders managing partner Josh Harris will part ways with head coach Ron Rivera after the season. And because Rivera leads football operations with the team, Harris could ultimately reshape the structure of the organization that could potentially see GM Martin Mayhew on his way out.If that's the case, and if Washington begins a search for a new general manager who would be hired before the head coach, sources tell CBS Sports to pay attention to any Philadelphia connections when it comes to leading the personnel department in Washington. To be sure, having or not having Philly ties is hardly (dis)qualifying for any candidate. That would just be one aspect of a candidate search. Harris officially purchased the Commanders in July after more than a decade as the managing partner of the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers. In that time he's grown a mutual professional respect for Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and general manager Howie Roseman. The Eagles have gone to two Super Bowls in the previous five seasons, and Roseman has turned out an impressive group of personnel in recent years. Current Eagles staffers include:Assistant general manager Alec Halaby. The Harvard grad has spent his entire career with the Eagles and has been crucial helping develop analytical models.Vice president of football administration Jake Rosenberg. The Penn grad works as Roseman's right hand and has a background as a commodities trader.Director of football operations Jeff Scott. He has Washington ties with the organization for nearly a decade before joining the Eagles in 2021 as a senior pro scout.Director of player personnel Charles Walls. He joined the Eagles last year after scouting for both the Browns and Packers.Director of scouting Brandon Hunt. Before coming to Philly last year he was in the running to be the next Steelers general manager. But it's not only those who currently have their checks signed by Lurie who could be of interest to Harris. Browns general manager Andrew Berry spent 2019 as the Eagles VP of football operations. Under him in Cleveland is AGM/VP of player personnel Glenn Cook, who's interviewed for multiple GM roles in recent years, and AGM/VP of football operations Catherine Raiche, who worked under Roseman in Philly for four years before going to Cleveland.Bears AGM Ian Cunningham, who last year turned down the Cardinals GM job, worked under Roseman for five years, most recently in 2021 as the director of player personnel. And Giants AGM Brandon Brown was with the Eagles for five seasons as well, leaving as the director of player personnel. Lastly, Steelers AGM Andy Weidl spent six years with the Eagles before going to Pittsburgh in 2023.Any, some or all of those names could get an interview in Washington next month. But whether you worked in Philadelphia, or have a relative there, or even if you've never eaten a cheesesteak before, that's not going to earn you the job. There are plenty of candidates who never had a Philadelphia zip code who could be in the mix. And there are internal candidates to be considered as well. Two-time former Panthers GM Marty Hurney is currently an executive vice president with the Commanders, and Eric Stokes is in his third season as senior director of player personnel.Sources believe being "analytics-literate" will be a requirement in Washington, which recently hired Eugene Shen as the SVP of football strategy and who figures to be involved in the process at some level. #The utterly utterly merry comic relief christmas book series
Below is an episode listing, including the pilot, Christmas special, and the 2002 reunion show… Series 1 (1981)Ģ. Radio Active ran on BBC Radio from 1981 to 1987. Uncle Mike Stand (Michael Fenton-Stevens).Recorded, but sadly not making it into the final transmitted version, were: Intro theme, the Gwyneth Paltrow / Oivind Vinstra interview, the Martin Brown / Diana interview and the OwasteofSpace (Oasis) spoof song. Superbly slick recording, introduced by producer David Tyler (earlier series producers Jamie Rix and Paul Mayhew Archer were in the audience too)…Ĭontents of “Digital Turn-on”, Transmitted, 18:30 on BBC Radio 4 the Radio Active House), great musical performances from Philip Pope, and the usual top-notch performances by Helen Atkinson-Wood, Geoffrey Perkins and Michael Fenton-Stevens, plus, of course, one Angus Deayton (who was the subject of a little ‘abuse’ from the rest of the team). Back in style too is the Drama Repertory Company with their moving adaptation of Doctor Zhivago and Mary, June and Honest Ron are still cropping up on commercials. The old favourites are there – Martin Brown, Nigel Pry, Oivind Vinstra, and Anna Rabies. With the advent of DAB, the station has gone Digital, and Radio Active is set to launch 25 channels of radio, including kids channel ‘Tiny Mindies’, and the 24 hour footwear station, ‘Radio Active Shoes’. For a start, the station’s ownership has changed, after Martin Brown inadvertently gives it away as a competition prize. It’s been 15 years since Radio Four last linked up with Radio Active, and a lot has changed. Radio Active’s “Digital Turn On”, the first new Radio Active in 15 years, was recorded as a 21st Anniversary tribute to Radio 4’s Radio Active. NEW Radio Active (recorded 1st Dec 2002 – Transmitted ) They’re running from 6:30pm on Tuesday nights. Starting from 12th November, BBC Radio 4 is repeating selected episodes, starting with ‘Euro Show’.

Waiting for Spring - El Nino Go Away
Winter Pond Waiting for Spring As I plod through the seemingly endless winter, my craving for spring grows more intense each day. The landscape around me is dull and lifeless, even here in Florida, with too many days of grey skies as far as the eye can see. It’s a constant reminder of the El Niño weather pattern lingering around this winter and the absence of vibrant colors and lively energy that…

SCORE: 10
This was an amazing read, and it is a beautiful reflection of what the Marvel Universe was at the time (touches on Avengers Disassembled, Civil War, Planet Hulk and more).
I always had a predilection for She-Hulk... and at the same time, I was never really fond of Hulk. But yeah, I like the comedic tone of She-Hulk a lot, and Dan Slott did wonders here.
I think the first volume was pretty good, and introduced a supporting cast that was nice to follow around. But I think the arcs that I remember the most are mostly in the second volume.
The main plot I will always remember, is the trial of Eros, because of his... rapey powers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The twist that Eros could have caused the events of Infinity War was jaw dropping. At that point I was already worried that this arc pretty much destroyed that character, but then they found an acceptable solution, also justifying Eros going out of control.
His powers are rapey, though... I don’t think there is a work around that.
Tumblr media
There is a lot of romance and sex in this book (and even a marriage). I feel like comics cannot be like this anymore at Marvel... am I wrong?
There are other nice arcs, like She-Hulk going to trial for trying to prevent the death of Hawkeye (when he was time travelling to the future), or the legal battle between Spider-man and JJJ.
Overall, I love comedy comic-books, and this one was excellent.
The art was very consistent from issue to issue, with some issues being a little weirder, but overall the style was very consistent.
While Greg Horn does amazing covers, sometimes they look a little awkward... like they were inspired by porn or something. Same with Adi Granov.
