Tagged back by @card-queen in an epic battle of "no you hang up first" I am tasked to find these words in my WIPs so here goes!

The gates worked the same as far as procedure though and once Lais introduced C.J. and told them of their intentions they were taken up some stairs and into the tower. There were a few small rooms, mostly bunkers it looked like to Maxine, where guards could take quick rests during long shifts. The four were shuffled into an office with a small metal desk and a few chairs, weapons hung on the wall next to some childish artwork. It reminded Maxine of the way her parents would hang up old family portraits and her artwork from school right next to their weapons.

CJ had gladly welcomed Jonas and Samantha into his room, which was the size of a small house when he had found them at his door. He’d been slightly confused by their hurried entrance and the way Jonas quickly closed the door behind him before listening for something for a few seconds afterward, but he was used to being slightly confused by things that humans, even Devlin humans, did.

“We can’t just not check in, they’ll think something happened to us, and the last thing Command needs is to worry about sending a team out looking for us,” Ana continued to protest.  “I never said we wouldn’t check in,” Jax sighed. “And you can’t talk to me that way you know, we aren’t friends here, I’m your leader, you need to be more respectful. Just accept that I’m making the decisions and my decision is to stay here until I satisfy my curiosity about these people.”

Rot, the God of What Remains

She has mushrooms growing between her gnarled fingers, her skin blackened and loose from her body. Every candle gutters and dies as her dark mass pools beneath you. When she rises, it is with the odour of the swamps. Her eye sockets are empty, yet still her gaze rakes through your very soul. "Oh, my dear." Her muddy voice bubbles and froths. "I call you to a harsh life. They will hate you for what you are. Death-keeper. Worm-eaten. Maggot-crawler. But even the gods die." She raises a filth-ridden finger to your forehead and paints her mark - a dirt streak, right to left, cold and clammy against your skin. "Life brings death, and death brings decay. Natural as the fallowing of the fields." Her mouth is a black pit, toothless yet still grinning. You feel your skin growing cold, clammy; tears break out across your skin, yellowed bone poking through, but there is no pain. Just a muddy dampness. "Ssh," she says, holding her finger to your lips. "You are mine, now."

PART 2 of

things that happened so far in my first bg3 playthrough ever that I found so funny that I put them in my notes (now proper spoilers below)

defeated Ketheric Thorm in no less than 4 attempts

freed Mizora from one of the mindflayer pods, regretted it immediately because I hate the woman

got annoyed at missing so much companion banter, caved and got the companion limit begone mod

am now running around with all the origin companions, left the druids at camp to not be toooo overpowered (luckily I'm so bad at the game that it doesn't make a huge difference anyway)

there is someone named Orpheus and eithin seconds I had the Wedding Song from Hadestown stuck in my head

reached Baldur's Gate! my 200€ pc is Suffering

slept with the emperor to get the 'Mind Blown' achievement only for my mum to walk in in the middle of it to ask me for a hairclip

needless to say she was concerned and I had to explain myself (she stayed concerned but also found it funny)

snuck into Cazadors home and met someone named Sebastian, bawled my eyes out at his and Astarion's conversation

killed Cazador!! (fuck that guy)

went through the entirety of the sewers to find Minsc because what Jaheira says is law and the quest markers in my game are buggy as hell

on a sidenote, I godamn LOVE Minsc and Jaheira as a duo they are the best

recruited Minsc obviously, also took me two attempts because just knocking him out while he was under a 'Hold Person' spell counted as killing to Jaheira :(

met Dammon again! Karlach was thrilled and so was I

talked to Gortash (he's meh) and he told me to kill Orin

talked to Orin (I hate her with all I have and more) and she told me to kill Gortash

OH I ALMOST FORGOT

Remember how I left the druids at camp? Orin snuck in and took Halsin, pretended to be him and had me almost crying

but rage prevailed, so I went around the city for about 19 years to figure out how to get into Baahls temple (I had only knocked out someone instead of killing them, making the amulet you need for it not spawn in their inventory)

finally figured it out, went in, and immediately found a clowns head from about 20 hours playtime ago

killed Orin (and got the achievement), it was great fun bc as mentioned before, I despise her

Halsin was so thankful I'd saved him that he immediately went "haha tysm for not leaving me, wanna fuck?"

so I left Wyll for him (with lots of pain in my heart, the things we do for the plot istg)

have not played since, but my most recent savefile is called "the wicked bitch is dead, long live the druids"

Reasoning:

Harvey is being typecast as the healer class because he's a doctor, sorry. But also he gives big wizard vibes because that man has studied. Why not a paladin? Because paladins are beefy and I think Harvey would actually die if someone punched him.

Sebastian is a wizard because he codes and that is a strong wizard activity right there. Also I imagine in a fight he would prefer to sit in the back and cast spells rather than be up in the action.

Sam plays the guitar and has that shonen protagonist charm, so he's a bard.

Shane loves his chickens and so you know he has to be the class with the animal companions.

Alex could be typecast as the barbarian because he's buff and likes American football (my bad I mean gridball), but I feel he's far too cool-headed to be the barbarian. So into the fighter class he goes.

Elliott has strong bard aesthetics due to his whole...everything, but I can also see him being the character that gives a motivational speech about strength and virtue before a fight and that is strong paladin vibes. And in the words of my brother, "He has a paladin chin."

Maru loves building robots so you know she's gotta be the artificer.

Abigail seems like the most likely to make a deal with an entity for power, so that's why I can see her being a warlock. But also the Wizard is almost certainly her father, so she may have some magic in her bloodstream.

Penny...hear me out. Penny is a bit of a wallflower, so I can see her inadvertently filling the role of the rogue and sneaking around. But also she really loves nature and I can see her pursuing the art of becoming a druid.

Emily is the only character in Stardew Valley with the zen, inner focus, and serial killer eyes to channel magical energy through her body and use it to punch someone really really hard.

Haley is probably the character that uses her angry portrait the most often, so you know she's gotta be the barbarian. I can see her as one of those girls who got into a lot of fights in high school and she would fight dirty--we're talking hair pulling and scratching.

Leah lives close the woods and she loves all the little forage items, so she is the strongest candidate for a druid.

spewing headcanons about Durga

Never felt anything real before establishing friendship with Gortash, always was an actress showing fake feelings.

Durga and Gortash as Chosen ones never had sex, but that doesn't mean neither of them thought about it, their close relationship lead to all kinds of interests in each other.

Pre-tadpole Durga was a semi-well known bard, good with her voice and words, had quite a few fans, whom she turned into her lovers and then killed except for one.

Gortash too got to know about Durga as bard at first. They did not express each other any sympathy.

"Forgive me, father" letter was written at the highest point of stress and self doubt, and later, when Durga was quite ready to tell about what she wrote to Gortash personally, Orin took Enver's appearance to trick Durga into confessing (just for shits and giggles) then mauled the bhaalspawn, laughing at sister's feelings.

Resurrected Durga's loss of memory included her forgetting about ever having sex at all (though she never was a fan anyway), so when Astarion offers her to spend the night together to celebrate saving of the grove, Durga believes she might be a virgin.

Durga's care for others is more of a reflex than a genuine wish to help and protect, though not understanding herself she does not understand her own desire to care for others either and does it just because (she used this model of behavior before the tadpole to win people's trust and then use them for her own purposes).

With every new truths that bhaalspawn came to knew about herself, she became happier and more self-confident. Though it happened because she understood herself more, knowing those truths, some of her companions misinterpreted Durga's good mood, thinking that she is just happy finding out she is a child of an evil God. Which of course didn't sit right with Durga. Being so misunderstood hurt her quite a bit.

Before telling her companions about her origin however, Durga received Halsin's confession of his warm feelings toward her, but expecting to be rejected by druid right after she reveals the truth about her nature of being the bhaalspawn, Durga asked him not to waste his time on someone like her (with a very sad face), even though she actually liked him back.

Helping Astarion to ascend. The sudden jealousy towards Sebastian became one of the least reasonable reasons for this.

Astarion and Gortash's encouragement (with help of friends who stood on the moral high ground) made quite an influence on Durga, leading her to make a decision towards being a ruler of a cult instead of a hero, who would save the city from it.

She is able to have children from any men, though not being a regular mortal of known race, she barely gives children any genes that would affect appearance. All of her children are mostly looking like their fathers and don't resemble a deep gnome unless they have a gnome father.
