Pairing: Percy Jackson x Apollo daughter OC (she classes as an oc cause I gave her a name but you can just read it like your name or Y/N if you want, I just feel better when I'm writing and the characters have names :)

Summary: Percy has always felt something for you, something that you had felt aswell. These quests of life and death finally knocked some sense into you two.

Also if anyone would be willing to give me a few pointers when it comes to working this app as a creator please do cause, yeah I've been using this app for years but I have no idea how to use it when it comes to posting things. Also, if anyone wants to request something else for me to write I would love to write something for either Percy or Luke, I'll probably make a list of people who I'm willing to write for later today cause it is 10am rn and I haven't slept so I'll just go bed after this 😭😭😭

As soon as percy got handed this quest, with Grover being part of the cloven council and Annabeth being gone to spend time with her family, Percy knew his immediate first choice would be Aurora, there was no doubt about it. The Apollo girl had a spark about her that has drawn him in the second he laid eyes on her.

He had deemed it because she was a daughter of Apollo so there would always be some sort of light that would draw him in, but he hasnt been very sure of that for a very long time. Every time he laid eyes on her, it felt as though time stood still and she was the only source of light and happiness in this dark, gloomy world. 

They had became extremely close when he first came to camp, she taught him the ropes in archery as to put it plainly, he was absolutely shit at it. He had no aim and his stance was awful, in her own words.

When she first said that to him, he wanted to throw her in a dumpster, but then he saw her, he properly saw her. He didnt know what Aphrodite looked like, but he was sure she would be a spitting image of the girl. He was even more sure that she was a daughter of Aphrodite but instead she was not, which made sense as to why she was hanging around the archery booth. From that day forward, she helped him freshen his archery skills, and he helped her with her sword skills.

He has never understood why she wouldnt ask Luke as he was the best swords-man and would probably be a better trainer. However, when he brough it up to her one time her cheeks flushed the tiniest bit and she stated how she was helping him, so he should do that same.

That's how they have ended up here. In the middle of nowhere, trying to find and 'kill' a beast that has been accidently lost and let out from the underworld and send it back. Although quests always have 3 people on them, the oracle specifically stated that this was only a 2 person job. Percy had never been so sure in picking Aurora at that moment in time.

"Are you sure we are going the right way Perce, I swear I've seen this tree 3 times already" Aurora stated this time taking a dagger and marking said tree with an X so if they do cross it again, she would be right.

"You never trust my navigation skills sunshine, why is that, is it cause you always get lost in my eyes" he says turning to look at her with a smug smile on his face. The girl abruptly stopped at his turn and could feel the blood rush to her cheeks in that moment, her honey-brown eyes immediately locked with his water coloured eyes and she broke the gaze, not letting him have the satisfaction of being right.

"You wish seaweed brain" she muttered and walked past him knocking into his shoulder in the process which led to him letting out a dramatic gasp.

"That hurts sunshine. Where are you going, it's getting dark, we should stop, set up camp and get some rest so we can re-think and re-strategize." The girl slowly stops her steps and turns her back to the boy who is standing there leaning against a tree with his arms crossed giving her a cocky glance that makes her want to die and kill him at the same time. 

The two had a stand-off for a bit before one decided to speak up.

"As long as I don't have to scavenge this creepy forest for wood then its fine by me" the girl said walking back to him while his eyes following her every movement till she was a few steps away from him. The girl went to grab something from her pocket with her left hand and with her right, she grabbed the boys arms and dragged her hand down it, to his hand which automatically opened up. She placed something cold into it with her left hand.

He looked at her and she had a glint in her eyes he hadn't seen for the past 12 hours, looking to his palm, he was a coin. Not just any ordinary coin or ordinary drachma. It was a coin from sea life, the one coin they give to one another which can be used for many thing, they talked it over before the quest. The coin can only be used for 2 things during this quest, to make sure the other doesnt die, or the person who has been handed the coin has to do what the person giving the coin wants no matter what.

He looked up at her with a confused look but seeing the mischief in her eyes gave enough away. Sighing he pocketed the coin and stepped away from the tree which only left 3 steps in-between the two. 

"What do you want me to do" not even bothering arguing.

"I want to see you fail at making a fire" she said just giving him the brightest smile, basically oozing sunlight from her. The boy felt like a deer stuck in headlights in that moment, he almost forgot the reason for her heavenly smile. He wanted to tell her he loved her right there and then, that he could never get enough of her, that he searched for her in every room he ever walked into, that she was the one and only constant source of light in his life, that she was the sun and he would orbit her in every universe no matter how close he got, no matter how much it destroyed him. He was utterly inconsolable without her. He loved her.

"Aurora" the boy started to say, in a serious tone which immediately made the girl's smile falter as she looked into his eyes, he didnt need to say anything. His eyes spoke more words than he would have liked, enough for the girl to get the message and understand him. All of the glances, the subtle touches, the comfort of each other like no other. She felt and understood it all. 

He was about of continue when a roar sounded, echoing in all directions and rustling the trees. The two could hear the howl of Cerberus all around them. Percy immediately uncapped riptide while Aurora unclasped her bracelet which turned into a bow and an unlimited supply of arrows. 

The both circled back to back, covering each others blind spot like muscle memory. They could feel the ground shake with each step the otherworldly creature took. 

"How are we going to do this?" the girl asked while keeping an eye on all of her surroundings. 

"You distract with your arrows as they are long-range and while she's focused on you, I'll go for the kill shot"

"She can't die" she could feel him rolling her eyes as the words left her mouth.

"You know what I mean" 

They could hear the low growl from the side of them. The three-headed beast emerged in all its glory with its 6 menacing eyes ready to rip these two teens to shreds and send the wrong beings in this equation to the underworld. Percy turned to stand next to Aurora and the girl grabbed his hand and squeezed to which he immediately responded. There were many unspoken words that had been said in the past 10 minutes and this was another addition 'dont die, be safe, come back to me'.

Slipping through her fingers, his hand left hers and quietly stalked away before the beast could get any idea there were 2 of them. Wishing the best for the boy, she instantly got the dogs attention by shooting an arrow at the middle head's nose. 

It did not like that.

They all barked at once and got ready to run at the girl. She didn't like to admit it but she was fucking terrified. Cerberus ran at her and she leapt to the side and ran as fast as she could not looking back until she could feel he's a little away from her. She got another arrow ready in her bow and blindly shot it behind her. 

She heard a small whimper which brought a smirk to her face but that was immediately wiped away as she heard the barking intensify. Hiding behind a tree the girl caught her breaths and looked for the hound and she couldnt spot it or Percy. She got another arrow ready and looked behind the tree once again but was faced with the thing she was hunting. 

Fear spread to every part of her body and she had no time to brace the impact as the dog clawed the tree which in return clawed her. She let out a bloodcurdling scream as she was flung into another tree. The bark from the destroyed tree splintered her, her head hit against a tree on impact and the large gash on her side felt like a fire that was melting her skin off. The girl felt her breath stick in her throat, she felt as though she was dying as immense pain filled her and black spots invaded her vision. Only one other thing was on her mind.

Percy.

The ocean eyed boy lost sight of Cerberus immediately as it began to chase Aurora, his Aurora. He followed as fast as he could not wanting anything bad to happen to the girl he loved before he got any chance to be with her, to confess and to just live a life content with his feelings. 

As he heard, the whoosh of Aurora's arrows increase, he could feel himself being uncapable of keeping up with the beast from the underworld and he cursed himself for it. He lost sight of Cerberus and it scared him, it was too quiet. He couldn't hear the creature or the girl he loved. 

His heartbeat quickened as he looked all around him trying to see a glimpse of either of them. 

Then all blood drain out of his face when he heard the one sound he wished he did not have to hear, ever. Aurora's scream made his heart almost leap out of his chest. He didnt know what to do, he didnt know where she was, he couldnt see the hound, its his fault, she going to die because of him. 

She most certainly is going to die if you dont get a fucking move on, that one voice in his head said. And he pushed all the doubts to the back of his head and focused on 2 things. Defeating Cerberus and finding Aurora. 

He could hear the three-headed dogs footsteps and instantly ran to it. It didnt see him coming and it's tail was on the ground so he didnt the best thing he could think of. He ran up the tail onto the body of the beast.

This elicited loud barking from the beast and Percy could only do one thing. Repeatedly stab the dog until it dissolved. 

Now... admittedly, this was not a good strategy. It was fucking awful. There was no thought to his stabs, they all just angered the beast and considering she was quite resistance to stabs, it wasnt helping. He was just tiring himself out. 

He then has the genius idea of stabbing the beast in the eye, or eyes. He started with the left head. The beast let out a large whimper, and stumbled which cause the boy to almost loose his grip on it. He wasnt going to stop now, he needed to send Cerberus back and get to Aurora.

Aurora. Her scream was echoing in his mind. Bouncing around his skull like he has no brain inside, only her gut-wrenching scream.

He subtly shook his head. As much as he was dreading where she was and if she was okay. He needed to secure Cerberus and he needed all attention to so it as fast a possible to get back to his sunshine.

He then stabbed riptide into both the right heads eyes. Percy knew what to expect this time so he braced himself and held on as tight as he could. He could not fail now. He was too close.

The dog slumped onto the floor which made percy's last task much more easier. With agility and caution the boy leapt onto the middle head and punctured the eyes out which evoked a whimper which made the boy feel bad for the animal and it slowly turned to dust. 

In an instant the boy caught his breath and his mind raced with only one thing. 

Aurora.

"Aurora! Sunshine! Where are you?" The boy felt as though he could not breathe. His head was spinning trying to find her in the mountains of trees and in the darkness of this forest, he has never needed to see her more now than any other time. 

"Aurora! Please if you can hear me make a sound! Anything so I know you're alive" He would never leave her. He would die before he left her to rot in these woods. He would never be able to face the guilt and loss.

"Please! Say SOMETHING" he could feel himself getting frustrated. "HELP! SOMEONE, ANYONE" tears welded in his eyes trying to find her. 

There was a rustle of leaves from the left side behind him. He was running to the sound before it even registered in the back of his mind. He kept hearing the rustling and a small whimper. 

He saw a faint glow of light behind a tree and he held his breath for the sight that was to come. He skidded to a stop and fell on his knees infront of her.

His heart dropped to his stomach when he saw her. Her face was significantly paler than when he left her and she had a wood splinter sticking out of her thigh and worst of all, the 4 claw marks across her abdomen with blood everywhere, it seemed to have stopped pouring, but it was a nauseating sight to see. He didnt know what to do. 

"Aurora, darling, open your eyes" his hands reached her cheeks and his thumb rubbed circled on her cheek and his two fingers made their way to her neck to check her pulse. He let out a sigh of relief when he felt a pulse. It was faint but not too faint to the point it would slip too far out of his grasp. 

He reached for his bag on his back to get some first aid supplies, ambrosia and nectar for the girl, when she let out a pained gasp.

The girl had barely an recollection of anything, the only thing on her mind at the moment was the immense pain shooting through her whole body, It felt like she was on fire and couldnt breathe. She wanted to die.

Then her vision cleared and she saw the golden haired boy looked at her like she was the only thing in the whole world, he held so much worry in his eyes that she thought for a second if she was already dead and it was her spirit seeing his reaction to her death.

"Gods, Aurora, you're okay. You had be so worried, I was terrified, I cannot lose you. If I lost you I would lose myself" The boy held one hand to her cheek while speaking so intently to her.

In that one moment she could feel his stare, like clockwork, bubble something inside of her. It almost made her forget why she was on the ground, why she could taste something metallic in the back of her mouth, why she couldnt move her right leg. It almost took it away. Almost.

That fire spread throughout her body again and she couldnt stop the wail that left her mouth. The pain was nauseating. A flood of curses left Percy's mouth as he grabbed the bottle of nectar and opened it.

"Okay, sunshine, I know you're in a lot of pain but I'm going to give you some nectar, you need to drink it but you need to sit up a little straighter." The girl immediately shook her head as a no in response to the boy. 

"I know. The amount of times we've both had to do it but you know deep down that its the only thing that will fix it." The girl tried to harden her stare at the boy but she was too weak to even look at him properly.

"O-okay, but... I can't" she inhaled sharply as she tried to move the slightest bit. She didn't have to finish her sentence for the boy to understand what she was trying to say. He took one his flannel button ups from his bag, scrunched it up and gave it to her. She could only give him a confused look.

"Put it in your mouth, bite down hard cause I'm gonna move you into the right position and its gonna be a pain. I'm sorry sunshine but I have to." She took it with her shaking hands and was about to put it in her mouth when she smelt it, sea salt and musk, then the girl really looked at what the item of clothing was. 

"this is yours" she said in a hoarse voice, looking up at him, confusion plastered all over her features.

"Well I dont exactly know where your bag is so next best thing." he gave her a weak smile and moved closer to her but she weakly grabbed his hand.

"I'm scared" she whispered so pathetically but the boy understood, he knew her. He knew that he needed to keep talking to her, to make sure he is doing something close enough to her for her to know that she's still alive. 

He only interlaced their fingers and pressed a kiss to the back of her hand. 

"I won't let go, I promise. You aren't leaving me, not after everything we have been through together" the girl's eyes welled with tears but she nodded and stuffed her mouth with Percy's flannel. 

He wrapped his arms around her from the side, where he was sitting and placed a kiss in the hair before counting down.

"3...2..." the boy didnt get to 1 before he pulled her up so she was sitting not laying down and with the movement came muffled screams and tears that flowed down the girls face. He was whispering sweet nothings in her ear as she lent into him and he repeatedly kissed her hair or forehead. 

"I'm sorry sunshine, I really am. When you're all better I promise you can hit me" he tried to uplift her but she could barely hear him. Her body shook and agony filled her every sense. He couldn't even express the guilt and regret he felt for the girl, immediately grabbing the nectar, and slowly taking his flannel out of her mouth. 

"You're doing great sweetheart" he says while slowly pouring the nectar into her mouth. Her head is resting against his shoulder as she swallows the drink down in small sips. After she drank it, Percy put it away and the girl began to close her eyes.

"Hey, hey, sunshine you can't be doing that right now. Come on I need to patch you up and then we need to get back to camp, I'll call blackjack. I know how much you like riding on him" he lifts her head off his shoulder and places her on the tree, but this time sitting up so he has easy access to her abdomen. 

She opened one eye and slightly smiled at the boy.

"You're gonna call blackjack?" the girl asked a bit delirious but seemingly in less pain. This brought a instant smile to him as he let out a chuckle, nodding his head while grabbing gauze and 2 bandage rolls.

"I promise I will, but you have to make sure to keep fighting okay. Once this is over, I have something special to tell you" He came loser to the girl and her breath slowed for a moment. 

He looked at her abdomen and a thought crossed his head that made blood rush to his cheeks, he was thankful the girl was delirious and it was dark or else he would simply wallow away. He cleared his throat and looked back up to the girl.

"I'm going to have to cut your shirt off so I can access the cuts and clean them properly" he looked into her eyes once but couldnt face her after that.

"okay" she whispered in return, locking her eyes onto his every move. 

The boy went back into his bag and grabbed a pair of scissors then faced the girl again. He could feel her watchful eyes on him the entire time and he hated to say it but that small voice in the back of his head was wishing she was a bit more delirious right now so he wasnt under her scrutiny while undressing her. Clearing his throat again, he begins to speak.

"Just tell me when to slow down or when to stop, if it gets too painful for you and I'll stop and slow down, okay" he looked to her for reassurance and an okay, to which she nodded.

He didn't know how to position himself so he just opted for kneeling next to her, facing her. He then grabbed the scissors and started to cut her top. Starting from the bottom to the top. As he reached the first claw mark the girl hissed as the shirt was stuck to the wound due to all the dried blood. Percy automatically stopped what he was doing. 

"No, no, keep going, don't stop now otherwise we will never get this done and I can't go back to camp cause I'll be dead" her honey-brown eyes were glossed with tears and the boy just wanted to hold her in his arms until the end of time in a place where they aren't fighting monsters all the damn time and in a place where they can settle down, have fun and just enjoy their life like regular teenagers.

"Don't say that so casually, you are not going to die. Not when you have me. Not when I'll always be here for you, patching you up, nursing you back to health forever. I will never in a million years let you die. I swear on the river Styx." 

She couldn't say anything to him, he will always render her speechless. She just nodded her head as tears cascaded down her cheeks to which he wiped away and placed a kiss on her forehead. Feeling the warmth off eachother brought a sense of peace to them that no one else could ever fill. 

He finished wiping her tears away and then continued cutting her shirt away from the wound. Every time she hissed, winced or flinched, the boy had the overwhelming urge to stop everything he was doing as long as it stopped bring her more pain. Whenever this would happen, the girl would softly squeeze his knee, as her hand was resting there to make sure he was still close to her and was still okay and breathing. 

This reassured him immensely but it did not stop him from the guilt that was drowning him. This would not have happened if it wasn't for him. She would not be in this position right now if he just chose someone else to go on the quest with. She had almost died due to his decision making. He chose her, he told her the plan, the plan that put her straight into danger, he didnt even second guess his choice, he put her into the battlefield without even asking her properly. Whatever he said went. 

The boy had not realised that during his intense self-loathing session, he zoned out and stopped the task at hand.

"Perce?" the girl asked while bringing her hand from his knee to his bicep. "Are you okay? whats going on in your kelp filled brain?" she said with a half smile as the boy looked up at her.

"Nothing, its okay. Just zoned out for a sec" he replied in an instant, looked away from her and continued to cut her shirt away. He was almost at her breasts and he could feel himself getting a bit hot. Obviously, there was no reason to in this situation but just being so close and intimate to her in a non sexual way made him flustered, he couldn't even imagine of it was in a sex- STOP. He shouted at his brain.

She let out a whimper of pain and a few laboured breaths as Percy carefully peeled her shirt of off the biggest wound she had. Her hand squeezed his knee harder than he would have liked her to but it didnt matter, not anymore, not when he caused this, not when he was the reason for her pain. 

He finally got it off the biggest cut and last cut and now he just had to cut the rest of the shirt off. No big deal right?

WRONG. 

The boy was telling himself to suck it up and just cut the rest of her shirt off but he was flustered. It was times like this that made him remember he was just a boy. He was just a boy with a silly crush. Except it isnt a 'silly crush' he was utterly in love with the girl. He tried to clear his head and at the same time, cleared his throat while he cut higher. 

He could feel her eyes watching him, he could feel how fast her heart was racing and he could feel how fast his own was racing. It was as though their hearts were in sync. Every beat was the same. 

Yes the girl felt flustered in this situation, she also couldn't help but want to tease the boy she loved. The girl had always grown up with a life where she never 'loved' anyone, not truly. To her love was always a very strong word in her dictionary but whatever she felt for Percy Jackson it was so powerful she felt as though she needed a word more meaningful than love. 

A word that expressed how everytime she thought of him, that specific memory of him will be branded in her brain forever to the point where even Hera could never make her forget him or forget the way he makes her feel.

He makes her feel alive, the most alive shes every felt in her 16 years of life.

"Are you blushing water boy?" the girl asked him with a half smile on her face and eyes half opened as she felt a sharp pain run through her, while also trying to control her own breathing at the same time. Percy didn't respond, he only kept cutting her shirt off, fingers lightly brushing over the material of her bra. 

She held her breath when he did that, whether it was on purpose of not, the feeling it sent through her body made her want to repeatedly bash her head against a solid wall while ripping her eyes out... in a good way of course. 

Percy finally cut her shirt fully off and it just slid down her arms and bunched at the bottom, near the tree. She felt exposed and could feel the goosebumps on her exposed skin. Percy didn't waste any time and grabbed a clean towel and his water bottle.

Before he could drenched it in water, she stopped him by kicking him with her uncompromised leg to indicate he needed to stop. This instantly stopped him and caused him to look at her. 

"Give me the water bottle before you soak the towel, if the water is warm it will work better and not hurt as much so i'll just heat it up" Percy thought about it for a second before he retaliated.

"You already aren't well enough to get off the ground, how on earth are you going to make it back to camp if you drain yourself of more energy. I know its going to hurt but it will either way, but getting you back to camp is the priority at the moment" Percy didnt want to say those words to the girl, he felt so bad for her and he couldn't help but blame himself. And when he looked into her eyes, like really looked into her eyes after he said that, he wished he could take it back.

Just looking at her made him want to give into her. 

"I can take it, I promise, I'll be okay enough to get back to camp, but I'm telling you now Percy, if I feel anymore extreme pain, I will just end up passing out. Please just let me do this." she tried to move closer to the boy but forgot about the fact that she literally could not move a single inch without his help. 

This just lead the boy to wrap his arm around her back and lent her against the tree again. He looked at her with a stern look.

"Okay, you win. But you have to promise on the river Styx that you will preserve every other bit of your energy for the ride back home." 

"I swear on the River Styx that I will preserve every other bit of my energy for the ride back to camp" He gave her one last look before giving her the water bottle. She focused some most of her energy to her hands and they started to glow. She took the bottle from percy's hand and he could feel the warmth radiate off of her. 

He looked at her in awe but if anyone else was there they would have told you that the boy was love struck. She opened her eyes and made sure to not boil the water. As it was simmering, she gave the bottle back to the boy and he instantly uncapped it and poured the, now warm, water onto the towel. 

"This is going to hurt... a lot, and by a lot i mean a lot, you might want to brace yourself" the boy said as he gave his flannel back to her and some ambrosia for her to eat before they start the painful part of fixing her up.

Aurora took both and muttered a small thanks under her breath before eating the ambrosia which was very pleasant to chew and then stuffed percy's flannel in her mouth again. She felt so weird but if she didnt and someone heard her scream bloody murder, they would get caught and the police would want them... again.

His ocean blue eyes met her honey eyes and he shared a look of regret and guilt before he wiped the dried blood away, starting from the bottom of her abdomen. She instantly clenched her jaw and recoiled as agony ran through her and her hand immediately shot out to grab Percy's wrist in a painfully tight hold to stop him from further cleaning the wounds that caused her pain.

"Sunshine, I know its painful, but I have to do this, I'm going to do this as fast and gently as I can but I will have to be rough at times" he gently takes his freehand to clasp over hers and took it of him and intertwined them while speaking to her. 

In his favour, it seemed that the energy it took the girl to warm the water up finally caught up with her as her hand lost most of its grip and her eyes closed slightly. He chuckled slightly and placed her hand back down next to her before continuing what he was doing.

He carefully but efficiently cleaned the areas surrounding her wounds while she was rejuvenating. He would hear muffled noises from time to time but other than that she was essentially knocked out. As he finished she seemed to feel less tired and her eyes opened wider than they did before.

"I'm almost finished sunshine, did you like your nap?" the boy questioned with a smirk but deep down he was glad that she kept her promise and she would have enough energy to go back to camp.

The girl nodded and looked at her abdomen. It was really clean and the wounds were barely bleeding anymore but she was fucking freezing. She shivered a little bit and percy could tell instantly.

"I've just got to bandage you up then you can put a jumper on. Okay?" he reassured her while taking the sterile dressing, he placed it over the 4 slashes and began to unwrap the dressing to bandage her up.

They both soon found the position to be quite awkward. 

Percy needed to bandage her whole abdomen which needed him to wrap the dressing over her back but she was lent up against the tree without a shirt on and unable to move to do it herself. He stopped to think of a good way to do this.

"Okay, I've got it. I'll lean you up against me and bandage your abdomen from behind." The girl thought for a bit before she agreed and the boy got up so he was only seen in her peripheral vision. He hooked his arms under hers and moved her along the ground to sit inbetween his legs. The position felt very compromising for both of them but it needed to be done.

She could feel his warm breath on her cold neck and she felt the urge to pass away because if thats how she passed, she would not mind. She held her breath as Percy begun wrapping her abdomen, she could barely feel the pain cause all she could think about and feel was him.

His breath on her neck, his fingers brushing her skin, how carefully he was handling her, like she would break at the wrong touch. He was everything she wanted, everything she needed. Everything they both deserved.

He quickly finished wrapping her up and he mentally called Blackjack from where ever he was right now. Before he could move or start to get things sorted he just looked at Aurora. She was peaceful. She looked ethereal under the moonlight, though she did look better under direct sunlight.

He decided to just stay still for a bit and wrapped an arms around the girl loosely as to not injure or hurt her more. They just needed some rest, no matter how long or short it was.

Both Aurora and Percy could hear the flap of Blackjacks wings so he quickly moved the girl back to lean against the tree while he packed everything away. Not before making sure to torniquet the girls leg where the wood piece was still protruding out of it. He made the decision before to not take it out as they both did not know how severe the injury underneath it was.

Percy grabbed a warm, woolly jumper from his bag and a blanket and gave both items to the girl before zipping it up.

"I'm going to find your bag and your bracelet before we leave, and before you say anything. I'm going to call Blackjack here to be with you before I look for them" he stated as he got up.

"Thanks a lot Perce, but before you look, how am I meant to put this jumper on without raising my arms and disrupting my bandages" Percy felt like an idiot. He dropped his bag back on the ground and knelt next to her carefully putting the jumper through one arms hole, then the next, then her head through.

Percy would never admit it there and then but he always loved when the girl would wear his clothes. It sent a warm fuzzy feeling through him knowing she was wearing his clothes, especially when she was willingly wearing his clothes. 

Similarly, Aurora would never admit it there but having Percy help her get changed into his clothes and help clean her up made her fall even more in love with him if that was even possible. She felt as though she was just falling into deep pit everytime he did anything for her or even just looked her way. 

He finished by wrapping her up in the blanket and chuckled when he saw how she looked... Exactly like a burrito. 

Blackjack came down and the girls eyes instantly widened at the sight of the creature. To which the boy just smiled at. Before he left to retrieve her bag and bracelet which were very easy to find. He quickly arrived back to the girl and Pegasus and was met with an adorable sight.

The Pegasus was on the floor next to the girl and was almost hugging her with its wing. Percy didnt think he could fall in love with the girl again but she has gone and proved him wrong, like always. 

"I've got your things sunshine, and I know its going to hurt but I'm going to have to pick you up to put you on Blackjack. Is that okay?" He knelt next to her and she nodded.

He wrapped an arm around her back and one under her knees, making sure not to hit the piece of wood and picked the girl up, quite easily, bridal style. It make them both feel fuzzy and warm inside. Even blackjack could feel the warmth.

He placed her sitting on the Pegasus so she would be infront of him when he got on. He then grabbed both of their bags and got onto blackjack himself. 

"You'd normally need to hold on tight to blackjack but I'll hold you okay? Just rest" The boy whispered in her ear as he gave her a peck on her cheek while she slowly drifted off and leaned her head back onto the boy's shoulder.

"Blackjack, No crazy flying today. We aren't at war today, its a rest day. Just take us back to camp, quick but not to the point we normally fly." Blackjacks reply left Percy with pink staining his cheeks and they made their way back to camp.

The characters were truly the main eye candy of the game. You’d been worried that when you had been sucked into Devildom, you wouldn’t be able to access the game due to, yknow, realm differences, but luckily that wasn’t the case thanks to Levi, and hence why the moment it dropped, you had been spending your life savings simping for characters on every banner.

Usually you would stay with him as he works, but he can’t seem to focus with you constantly begging beside him

Small little ‘please’ would be heard every now and then, and a sudden look of disappointment would show on your face.

He tried to ignore it, even giving little cues for you to quiet down, like clearing his throat

You didnt seem to pick up the hint though

He was just about to ask you what you were doing in the first place that has you praying beside him (which is hella rude) but your scream of happiness has him a little more irked and kinda taken back

You can continue celebrating and bragging about it later, for now, you wrap your arms around his arm and give him a small smooch on the cheek, which definitely makes him blush a tad bit

Potential apocalypse has been diverted

But Lucifer does smile the smallest of smiles as he sighs, finding it silly to really get jealous over such a small thing and says

“I love you too, my dear... but you do have to make up for distracting me from my work...”

Well you kinda deserve it, so it wasnt long before both his work and your phone had been ditched

( After a while you do kinda see him quite similar to Diluc and it just makes you smile everytime you think about it, seems you have a thing for the strict cold men huh?)

You felt your own heart speed up and your face burn so hard, but you do mumble him a quick “But... But why though?”

“Cuz! If you start cryin’ Lucifer’s gonna beat my ass! Dont think I did it for you, you human! I just dont want him taking away Goldie again!”

so imagine: you walking in his dorm room, expecting him to be studying or working on his technique, but instead you find him on the floor in front of his bed, a blanket covering his head as he presses the buttons ruthelessly while he whispers little curses at himself starting to get mad

you closing the door got his attention, so he invited you to sit next to him, so you do

at first it was a little awkward bc he wasnt sharing the blanket (you cant convince me he isnt a blanket hog you cant) and his eyes were glued to the tv screen like he forgot you were there

you started to get tired, your head drooping on his shoulder- his body goes absolutely stiff- like- midoryia.exe has stopped working youre gonna have to wait for him to windows 8 reboot

once he finally looks at you and youre like this close to falling asleep he turns your body away rq to move the blanket off his shoulder so your head can rest on his actual shoulder and the blanket is around you too

he usually doesnt have his mic on at all, and if it is he usually doesnt talk unless hes going along w a joke? iykwim?

i feel like he plays games like call of duty and halo (he loves animal crossing and sucks at among us) but he doesnt like when he sees them actually die? like the gore and stuff? idk he just gives those vibes yk? i feel like hed feel really bad kaskjdshad hed get over it tho

i cant really see him play minecraft, tho, i mean unless youre playing w him, i dont think he would play it by himself unless he was like building a fucking castle for you or sum-

but ya you start to go to his room more when he games to hang out and every. single. time. you. fall. asleep. he isnt complaining tho he loves your sleeping face :p

he would either rest his head on whatever is behind him or he would rest it on your shoulder (if youre more on the taller side)

he would keep an arm around your waist while letting you play or he would rub your thigh (maybe both kasdjshd) while he watches you play

if you get a lil frustrated he would totally tease you ab it then tell you how to do it right oml

if you get tired he would take the controller from you and let you sit back on him chest, resting on him while he games

he might turn the volume down a lil, but i also think he doesnt care that much LMFAO

i feel like he would rub your side a lil its almost tickly but hes a lil more firm than that yk?

he would keep his curses at a minimum although he doesnt have that much game rage at all bc again, he doesnt care, but ppl are stupid so he might get frustrated sometimes

once you fall asleep and hes been playing for a while he might just leave the game hes in and carry you to bed and get in with you

i dont think hes much of a cuddler at all but a little bit of contact is ok w him

but then you start to shift and scoot towards him in your sleep

until you are either completely ontop of him or your head is in the crook of his neck and hes just sitting there like 😐😤😒

but he warms up to it bc he wuvs you (read: hes fucking whipped)

ao he lazily puts an arm around you and bears it for a couple more hours

but when yall wake up he finds himself literally clinging to you KASDJHSALKDJ

he got the wasd game iykwim😩 (ill shut the door on my way out)

he absolutely loves it when you come to sit on his lap while he just- he loves it sm

he plays all types of games (except overwatch. you will not catch this man playing overwatch pls-)

i feel like you wouldnt run into him playing games he would always play them once youre with him in the room

he wants you to be w him while he games, he wants you to watch him or just be there

youd be laying on his bed, hust doing whatever, scrolling on your phone while you hear him set up

you love to cuddle him- i just KNOW hes amazing at it

so when you hear him clicking away and see him sit down you stand up and walk to him

he doesnt even have t look at you before he opens himself up to you to sit on his lap

you watch him play (and his hands kasjlsdh) and sometimes you ask him questions ab it- hed be happy to walk you through it and explain

if you wanna play he'll let you play, teaching you everything ab the character and shit

he is the most patient person on earth i KNOW

he doesnt get game rage

he is literally so stoic- so calm i swear

he doesnt use his mic like at all

he only notices your presence when when you put your hand on his shoulder- he literally jumps

when he plays console he's on his bed, just laying there chillin so when you walk in and say hi he is sooo happy youre there w him omg

i imagine you climbing into bed w him and he continues to play his game although he loves it when you touch him (not to sound sexual at all he genuienly loves your touch)

and you up to his side- he wraps an arm around you, telling you how he missed you how mych he loves you (ksadksjhaksd)

when you fall asleep he turns the volume down and probably tones down his voice, although sometimes he jolts bc of some kind of mess up

but he manages to keep you asleep on him until he gets tired too- turning everything off and just wrapping you in arms (he'd prolly end up on your chest ngl)

on the computer when he plays you hesitate o cuddle ONLY bc od how much he moves, like you arent gonna be there comfortable for a while but eventually he calms down

he just gets nervous- his heart starts to beat rapidly and his leg bounces (same kaskh) espECIALLY when you straddle him oml he BREAKS

but he eventually calms down so its more comfy

when you fall asleep he will constantly press kisses on your head omggg

[zenitsu-and-kaigaku-prompts]

hey i saw your Ghost Au thing in the tag the other night and i wanna let you know that i CANNOT stop thinking about it, which is odd because it isnt typically my kind of thing lol. pls tell me more if you have it/want to! 💓

-Kaigaku and Zenitsu didn’t see each other until after Muzan was defeated. The last thing Kaigaku remembers after his death is just darkness until he saw Zenitsu again.

-Kaigaku starts out as a ghost still looking like a demon.

-Zenitsu can hear ghosts, but only certain things about them. For example he’s able to hear them talking, but he wouldn’t be able to hear their footsteps.

-Zenitsu can no longer hear any of Kaigaku’s emotions, thoughts, or even his box of happiness. This complicates things a lot more because if Zenitsu at least Zenitsu could know how he was feeling when Kaigaku was alive.

-Since Kaigaku is stuck to Zenitsu he can’t do really anything. To pass the time he just annoys/insults Zenitsu.

-Kaigaku wonders at one point if the reason he’s stuck is his unfinished business was to kill Zenitsu. Now he’s scared of being stuck with Zenitsu until his death because there’s no way he can physically finish the job.

-Kaigaku isn’t a very good ghost. Some ghosts are able to interact with the living realm (knocking stuff over, making noises, etc). Kaigaku can’t figure out how to anything and it really frustrates him.

-Kaigaku annoys Zenitsu too much at point and Zenitsu snaps letting out all his emotions and telling Kaigaku everything he felt and thought. Kaigaku doesn’t talk to Zenitsu for the rest of the night. Kaigaku needs to process what he’s heard. He’s finally getting to see just how much his actions affected others.

-Tanjiro, Kanao, Nezuko, and Inosuke have noticed that Zenitsu has been feeling down lately. When asked why he breaks down and tells them what’s happening. (They already know about the ghost seeing thing. They found out during the first stay at Butterfly Mansion.) They do their best to comfort Zenitsu.

-The Kamaboko squad will sometimes ask Zenitsu to point out where Kaigaku is so they can yell at him. Kaigaku is not happy when Zenitsu complies.

-One night Kaigaku and Zenitsu have a chat while everyone is asleep. Just talking about what they should do now and how they can get rid of each other and finally part ways. It’s a very awkward conversation to say the least. During this conversation Kaigaku let’s a few of his thoughts slip out by accident and he wants to pretend like it never happened.

-Kaigaku pokes fun at Zenitsu less after some time. He says it was getting boring.

-The first time Kaigaku manages to slightly interact with the the living realm is pulling back Zenitsu to keep him from walking into an unseen pit. Kaigaku claims that it was instinct and doesn’t actually care about Zenitsu’s safety. He’d die a second time before admitting that he scared slightly about Zenitsu’s safety.

-After the incident they notice that Kaigaku’s ears got slightly less pointy. Also although his fingernails are still black they aren’t claws anymore

-Zenitsu and Kaigaku never got along, however they are starting to learn how to tolerate each other.

Sorry if anything seems weird or ooc. I made this on a whim. There might be more to come, but I should probably plan out everything first.

im genuinely liking s11 a lot so far. ep 5 was also great. i like it when we see snippets of each storyline throughout the episode. i feel like it keeps me on edge and interested in the storylines rather than just dumping all the info in 1 ep (a little like they did with the reapers last ep)

first of all IM SO GLAD THERES MORE ROSITA BACKSTORY. finally we get something more than rosita that isnt just love interests. and the fact that shes tia rosita to judith 😭. i cant its so cute.

also those dumbass kids bullying judith like that >:(. and then they broke the handprint thing from carl. i was literally fuming. but also sad because carl being brought up makes me emotional. carls death was literally the worst decision this show has made.

also aaron torturing that whisperer like that?? i was frustrated they werent taking action quicker but letting him get bit is a bit much, no? i like carols development this episode tho. “this is a path you dont want to go down” - shes def been there and im glad they are acknowledging it. carols been through a lot, i just want her to be happy :,)

commonwealth continues to be cool. i think i was right about fake stephanie and eugene def saw the real one when getting ice cream. they even gave clues. like how she was getting rocky road - isnt that her fav flavour? and when eugene acknowledged that, she didnt talk to him, its almost like she knew he would recognise her voice. “fake” stephanie did help eugene and the others this ep but that could just be part of her plan?? idk. also princess and mercer - fuck yes.

also i was CONVINCED that elijah got taken by the reapers but that mf just shows up out of no where?? how did he and gabe meet up?? and how did escape?? im so confused. also ik that maggie x negan is a current hot topic in the fandom cause of that *one* scene but no...just no...does anyone even want that? ik ppl said it was interesting but it would be so ooc for the both of them and would just ruin their storylines. and maggie doesnt deserve that 😭

next episode will be great cause CONNIES BACK YAY :D. and there were these weird feral looking monsters in the trailer?? im hyped for it. connie better get home and reunite with kelly and daryl safely or i WILL riot

okay one big post to get the finale out of my system! it's been lovely reading all of your analyses and reactions, and looking at all your amazing gifs and edits :')

fair warning: this is going to be so stinking long omfg

the things i enjoyed:

vincenzo remaining an anti-hero through and through, especially the fact that he didn't hold back at all when it came to myunghee and hanseok's death. he gave them a taste of their own medicine and then some forreal, their deaths were brutal but oddly satisfying, and i'm saying this as someone who usually hates violence/gore. throughout the show, they've always hinted at what he was Truly Capable Of and boy did we get to see it

vincenzo fumbling in hanseok's house and not being his usual self – a lot of people thought it was ooc, which i understand! i felt like that was the Point, to show that for once, he's not the invincible mafia consigliere that everyone thinks he is. what he did to the man who killed his mother and the army of security guards was a reaction, but this is the first time he's flustered, caught at a disadvantage, and faced with the very real possibility that he might lose somebody incredibly important to him. idk it made him more human to me

vincenzo literally not hesitating for even 0.1 seconds to fold his entire body around hers when he thought hanseok was going to shoot again – yeah that whole bit made my heart clench i feel like a crazy person i won't get over it

the chayenzo hospital scene... my god it was so tender my heart broke. the laugh they both shared, out of sheer relief that she's okay. the little joke about paying for the private room. the way not much was being said, but everything was being said at once. the way they looked at each other, as if it wouldnt ever be enough :( the quiet acceptance that this is their last night together, and that he's going to have to kill a bunch of people after this, but for now they have this. for however brief.

chayoung being chayoung – her big ass personality at the courtroom at the end after winning ms oh's case. her hopping around in those heels, looking elegant and sleek, mocking the hell out of rich conglomorates. she's in her element again and it made me so, so happy to see. i absolutely adore her, she's everything really. after all that loss and the whole ordeal, i'm glad she's able to return to what she does best: putting capitalists back in their place

mr lee being Very Much Not Dead – idk how i wouldve been able to handle it after witnessing hanseo's death like im glad he got the chance to be a dad

the kiss – my god....

the things i didn't like:

hanseo's death – lmao is it even a surprise... say what you will about his death being foreshadowed, but i really just hated hated it. i hate that hanseok won this one. i hate that hanseo worked so hard to redeem himself, only to lose it all. i hate that he was given a taste of what a real family was like, and then having it taken away so cruelly. even though i said above that i didn't mind that vincenzo was ooc at the mansion, i was still screaming at the screen because there were plenty of opportunities for the situation to be reversed. i don't necessarily blame vincenzo for hanseo's death, but i do wish that they had a funeral scene for him. i wish they acknowledged his sacrifice, and how pivotal he was in turning the tables. if not for hanseo, vincenzo really couldn't have pulled any of this off, from the interpol tipoff to the tracking device in the watch. idc idc hanseo is in malta rn, enjoying the sun and the beach, going to therapy, and teaching the local kids how to play hockey even though there's no ice :(

chayoung being bedridden the whole finale – like... NAH lmao this aint it chief... if things went my way, she wouldve gotten out of the hospital depite her injury and dealt with myunghee before handing her off to vincenzo. i loved their animosity for each other, and i wanted chayoung to be the one at myunghee's apartment waiting for her, rubbing it into her face. i wanted chayoung to verbally finish myunghee with that sharp ass tongue of hers and really dump a load of salt on her wounds. then vincenzo could do whatever the hell he wanted. you could argue that the show is called Vincenzo but i really dont care lmao it started with chayoung avenging her dad and she should've been able to strike the final blow. also what was her big second party? are we really just going to ignore her capacity for evil? after all that moral work done, after that time she spent coming to terms with using evil to combat evil, we're just going to... keep her bedridden? park jaebum u will pay for this

vincenzo losing his family – besides hanseo's death, i think this was what i hated the most from the ending. the start of the show showed us vincenzo's departure from the mafia with the very clear intention of Not Returning. the capo died, his loyalties lie with no one, paolo can suck it. throughout the show, we see him repeat over and over that he wants to get the gold and skip off to malta to enjoy a peaceful life there, while reflecting/repenting for the things he's done. vincenzo was gearing up for a lifetime of solitude. the whole point of the show was for him to find a real family and have a real chance at happiness. park jaebum really said FUCK THAT! we're gonna have him ditch the family that he built from scratch with the love of his life and then make him return to the family that tried to kill him AND make him the capo... pjb said we're gonna separate vincenzo from the family that accepts his past and sees it as a strength and not a weakness. the family that was formed out of solidarity, the family that he fought for and fought alongside with blood, sweat and tears. not to mention the goddaughter of his? sorry i would laugh if it didn't actually rile me up so bad

vincenzo not being able to come back to korea – i've said this in another post of mine, but given that he is The Vincenzo Cassano with all those resources at his disposal (guillotine file, mr ahn/mr cho/the chief etc.), the fact that he isnt even able to stay in korea for 30 fuckin minutes after finishing hanseok was ridiculous. the whole police chase was dumb as hell considering that the show has managed to stop politicians and mf presidential candidates from going after him like ? huh LMAO park jaebum had an on-demand pigeon army in this show and Yet he can't stop like 10 suddenly-righteous policemen. another big ass HUH

NOPE! i've reflected on the ending and decided that i'm going to be petty and salty for a while more before coming to terms with it

i can rationalise and try to be positive and tell myself that their love is enduring can transcend space and time and that in due time, they will find their way back to each other, and i have no doubt that they will because they're one soul in two bodies. it's quite literally canon that they're soulmates.

but let me wallow for a second

here we have two people who have done questionable and terrible things in their past coming together, growing together, grieving together, fighting together... you get the gist of it. you have two people who have found a home in each other. two people who, for all intents and purposes, were about to live in a whole lot of bitterness and solitude if not for each other and the life they built together (chayoung didn't have friends like that, and her family is gone too). to separate them like that at the very end is cruel. i know chayoung and vincenzo are mature and incredible and will be able to function without the other next to them. i know that they will still excel as lawyers and will defeat evil with their underhand methods the way they do so well but my god are they going to feel the absence and miss each other

my point is that they shouldn't have to. from what i could tell, they can't even communicate on a regular basis bc he'll be tracked and whatnot, hence the postcards. a postcard every month is a poor substitute for all those nights they stayed up drinking makgeolli and celebrating their wins. its a shitty replacement for coffee dates and fist bumps and all the moments in between. after everything they've been through, after literally fighting to death for their family, they don't deserve this. they don't deserve to meet up once a year for a couple of hours. they don't deserve pockets of time in malta or korea, their life in a perpetual countdown to when they're going to see each other next

they both deserve love and some semblance of peace (finally finally). they both deserve to have someone to come home to after a hard day of work, because doing what they do cannot be easy. they both deserve a family, deserve to have someone next to them that accepts their past and would embrace their future. they both deserve a hand to hold and a shoulder to lean on. i know they will still be It for each other despite the distance, i just wish the distance didn't even exist in the first place bc its stupid and cruel and their love shouldnt have to be proven or tested with time and space. let them stay together. let them grow together. let them be.

legend of korra remake ideas  and a bit of a rant

first makorra stays endgame and no last minute retcons where we throw in another ship ( korrasami ) in at the last minute when the narrative led to makorra getting back together while korra and asami barely interacted had little  relationship development  and bond 

 ( rant ( I typed it in wildly and didnt care about grammer ) it was more like venting  and when  I type when I am excited/upset I ignore grammar/coherency):

and  with what they had they were barely friends in order to see evidence you had to  wear thick shipping goggles twist context and scenes to find evidence where there was none like the letter acting like it made korras relationship with asami closer then her relationship with the others when it didnt ( korra and asami barely had relationship development ( platonic or otherwise ) in b3-b4 while makorra got tons of it  ( look up fantastic-nonsense  ( b4  mako and korra solved the mutual flaws that led to breakup and matured and learned how to handle conflict ( the problem wasnt the arguing it was how they handled it the lack of resolution) 

What Korra and Asami got was BARELY friendship, especially since they had a grand total of five (possibly six) on-screen interactions after “Long Live the Queen.” Pairing them up in the finale made little sense given the utter lack of romantic buildup/relationship development and the just plain lack of interaction in general.

Fact remains: Korra and Asami had very little on-screen interaction compared to Korra and just about everyone else, and Korra and Mako got nearly twice the interactions and nearly triple the screentime in Book 4 as Korra and Asami. You’re going to have to try way harder.

v korrasami was a last minute retcon thrown in at the last minute  it had no hints or buildup there was actual more romantic makorra moments that hinted that the show will end with a hint that they will eventually get backtogether ( they both overcame the flawsthat led to their breakup it wasnt incompatibility    ) by book 4 they fixed the issues that led to the breakup  book 2 finale breakup had a very romantic feel ) before the last few minutes  which were ooc for korra and asami there was nothing hinting at korrasami. The only way you can find evidence for korrasami is by wearing shipping goggles to see evidence where there was none  

on the irrational hate for mako I saw the fandom since b1 I saw the irrational hate mako being given the ron the death eater treatment where people bent over backwards to demonize mako and make him out to be something he wasnt acting like he did terrible things when he was just a tad bit of a jerk romantically and spineless

 the narrative always treated makos flaws as flaws he needed to be work on since b1 ( the idea that because he got what he wanted in b1 ( which korra also wanted in b1 she kissed him its somehow means bryke treated him as if he was in the right  is bs )  ( people always forget that  mako never hurt asami on purpose  he never intended to hurt anyone and try to paint him as a manipularive womanizer which he wasnt) 

 and having good things happen to him afterwards isnt the narrative rewarding him for the mistake ( the idea that it would be wrong for mako to have a happy romantic ship for asami to end show single while makorra get back together is bs  the idea that it would be wrong for mako not to be punished is bs ( its like saying katara should be punished for outburst against sokka ) mako hurt asami yes

   ( the claim it was wrong that he got together with korra at the end of b1 that he got what he wanted after making some mistakes  is bs    the notion that he shouldnt have gotten what he wanted just because he made  a few mistakes and was a bit of jerk is nonsensical  also (  korra was just as responsible for love triangle and had  shown to have feelings for him  and would thus have nothing  to  ) after making a mistake is bs  

(  and the mako haters who go call people who defend mako from their demonization of mako and bs claims mako apologists is laughable it makes it sound like he committed a crime or was willfully malicious )  saying your attempts to demonize him are wrong  and you make him out to be something he isnt ( like the calling him a womanizer, or claiming he was manipulative in ep where hiroshi was revealed )  defending character from bs claims isnt apologism

 ( heroes/good people are allowed to make mistakes sometimes and makos mistakes were always treated as mistakes the attempts to pretend it doesnt count because he got what he wanted in b1

everyone  be it the people who liked him or the people who disliked him acknowledged mako did wrong the people who liked mako acknowledge he was a bit of a jerk romantically and made mistakes that he mishandled the love triangle no one is excusing that mistake but refuting bs claims like claiming he is an abuser or that he was a manipulative womanizer isnt apologism. Imagine if someone called zuko a sexual assaulter when he caught katara saying that wanst sexual assault isnt apologism.

to be frank makos mistakes are minor he is a teenager  love triangles are messy business. the reaction to makos mistakes are an overreaction  acting as if he needed to be specifically punished for mishandling the love triangle 

(the  claim makos the womanizer when he only had two girlfriends who he genuinely loved  and was conflicted about ( both of whom went after him korra kissed him he just kissed back that doesnt make him a womanizer )

 ( seriously mako is just an example where people who hate on a character will misuse the terms creators pet or self insert or gary stu to attack the character like going

I mean seriously people went the other detectives were incompetent to make him look good or whining about him not having a partner saying its proof he is a creators pet going giving him a partner would take away from his coolness when that applies to kataras fellow students being laughable and aangs behavior  in training 

I have seen people complain about mako not having a partner and claim its just to make him look cool going thats proof he is a creators pet. they just take the most minor instance to claim he is a creators pet becausethey cant stand it if anything good happens to mako or he looks impressive due to their hate I doubt they would put bolin to this standard (also a partner would just be an extra character I see why bryke wouldnt bother with it )

seriously mako is the katara of the show with hints of zuko (  which is funny mako was created to be zuko lite 

( not to mention the attempts to vilify him as something he wasnt like trying to equate him to hahn)  when he cared about asami he liked her he just cared about korra more ( and mishandled love triangle and his emotions love triangles are messy and mako as a teenager is allowed to make mistakes he didnt need to be punished for the mishandling love triangle 

the claim he shouldnt have gotten with korra in the   b1 or that it was somehow being rewarded by getting what they both wanted korra and mako had feelings for each other the claim he needed to be punished for what amounted to being tad bit of a jerk and mishandling love triangle is just not bs   and lok wasnt aesops fables the attempts to make him out to be a manipulative womanizer ( he wasnt  heck he never even was the one doing the pursuit they came after him and he didnt manipulate korra in hiroshis ep the only   time you could ever say he manipulated was someone was in ep where due to not wanting to hurt korra ( and possibly some fear of her given how he reacted when he tried to tell her and she hit the scarecrow)  he didnt tell korra about the breakup  )  

I roll my eyes when people claimed it was karma for him to end show single while the others were in relationships  

when korra was just as responsible for  love triangle mako mishandling love triangle not wanting to hurt anyone isnt deserving of him being punished by ending up single with no romantic love.  ( korra should have ended up single 

  lets be real here mako was a teenager  love triangles are going to be messy even without his trauma they dont generally have best handling of emotions

to what I would do asami just end with asami single  no hints to another romantic interest she doesnt need a romantic relationship 

and mako making all of the mistakes he made in b1 and still ending up back with korra as a middle finger to haters who bent over backwards demonizing mako for being flawed and acting like he was something he isnt bending over backwards to attack him like claiming he called asami a leech when it was a figure of speech or whining if he ever gets complimented or good things happen to him. and claim it somehow means he is a creators pet to get compliments  it amounts to  them just not liking him and not liking he is ever has good things happen to him 

seriously if mako became a master firebender on the level of katara and got to beat someone on level of azula like she did people would scream creators pet or gary stu if it was bolin who became the detective and was doing well and got compliments people wouldnt claim creators pet but because mako dared to not be perfect and mishandle a love triangle he needs to be punished no he doesnt ( and going but asami got hurt it really doesnt matter  mako messed up every one acknowledges that that doesnt mean he needed to be specifically punished like the oh but he got together with korra which the show was building towards  

serioulsy they whined if mako even got complimented for doing good work   they just dont like him and get mad if he ever has something good going on but rather then admit that they will just claim mako getting complimented makes him a creators pet ( like what happened with amon ignoring amon had also  complimented lin and in the scene mask seem to change to a frown  to show he didnt like taking her bending  ( and lets be real here the avatars love interest in the show would get praised to some level or complimented   that was something to expect) 

end rant ( sorry about repeating myself ( I came back to add more  to it but didnt notice  I already said keep the love triangle and all of makos mistakes in b1 and 2 and have him treated the same way  ( and end the show with makorra getting back together and changing prince wu to a shy kid who he wanted to help and allowing mako to be happy   he didnt need to have anything taken from him

and introduce zukos grandaughter who is a nonbender in b3 and take asamis place and give her a backstory where when she was a kid she got seriously injured and had to go to rehabilitation so korra sent her a letter because she felt she would understand more  like how she sent asami a letter because of asamis work on her company building it back up  )  no korra sending asami a  letter doesnt mean her relationship with asami was closer then rest

 ( keep the whole incident in spirits of competitions and mako and korras flaws and b2 breakup and emphasize that its due to mutual flaws and how they had to grow and overcome those flaws away from each other and have the end of b4 tease makorra  and they will eventually getting back together

get rid of the line claiming korra needed to suffer to learn compassion when she already was compassionate

( have some episodes that show filler 

like mako as a cop helping orphan kids  for he knows how that is like and hint at mako wanting to become a cop caused by book 1 fight against equalist

make prince wu a kid 

( kuvira putting  citizens not of native Earth Kingdom origin.into concentration camps made no sense so we get rid of that 

also given how korra was described as aangs opposite in every way  and how aangs group included his bending teachers we can have korra help teach mako and bolin and help them with hand to hand combat and fire and earth bending (respectively

and mako and bolins fighting styles will change  and have mako start using the more traditional fire bending styles more instead of the probending fighting style 

( also we will have it mentioned that due to the area being in a city water benders and earthbenders have to focus on precision rather then destruction/aoe like how people in the aangs age did )  water benders can harm plumbing systems and earth benders damage infrastructure 

fire bending and air bending is actually the least harmful

( make opal blind and have her learn how to use airbending  to see feeling vibrations in air  ( and a form of echolocation)  like how toph learnt how to see with the air 

( put some filler episodes showing the krew bonding as in eps  completely focused on krew bonding  

  and showcase new firebending techniques with mako learning them ( for while he has been called zuko lite he has alot of similarities to katara ) like maybe  firebending equivalent to  unalaqs waterbending technique against spirits would exist  ( fire and water are opposites like air and earth ( air and earth both have ways to allow someone to see even if their blind so it would be a parallel to give firebending the own way to kill spirits like with a special color of fire  ( maybe this color would allow

 keep asami a good guy  dont make her a spy but  she would know her father hated benders but asked him to play nice and try to change his mind  because it makes no sense that hiroshi wouldnt have shown his hate for benders to her before )   so maintaining the love triangle in b1   and keeping all of the actual mistakes mako had made in b2 along with the makorra issues ( korra wouldnt have worked with anyone in b2  their breakup was due to their mutual flaws  ( neither one of them knew proper conflict resolution arguing wasnt the problem it was how they handled it   

) 

  but b4 no korrasmi last minute retcon the  b4 finale will end with korra single but a hint to makorra getting back together along with a flash forward to them together (and   ( none of the stuff that happened before b4 finale were hints people were finding evidence where there was none  so the stuff that happened i korra and asami in b3-4 will stay    )  to give a rebuttal to the claim that mako deserved to end up single because of the love triangle and mistakes that were made   

it reminds me of the post about redemption arcs for villains

like, redeemed villains are generally friends with the heroes. they get to experience love and The Power of Friendship for the first time, if they haven’t already. they generally get to experience forgiveness. if their motives are based off of some kind of trauma or pain (like a lot of redeemed villains) then they will probably have that resolved and get some sense of closure or inner peace from whatever is hurting them.

so when they say that “this character doesn’t deserve a redemption arc” what they mean is “this character doesn’t deserve to be loved. they don’t deserve happiness, peace, or companionship”. the alternatives I have seen are:

“I hope that this character realizes how awful they are and they kill themselves”

“I hope this character is redeemed by a heroic sacrifice” (meaning they would be redeemed but wouldn’t be alive to experience the “reward” afterwards)

“I hope this character begs and pleads for forgiveness over and over again, but is never forgiven”

it’s pretty disturbing tbh, to treat basic things that every human needs (like being loved) as a “reward” that you get for good behavior. or more accurately: never being bad in the first place. that once you fall from grace you’re damned for eternity.

except mako was never a villain he was a purposefully flawed hero ( heroes should be allowed to make mistakes and have flaws that cant be justified away

On the other hand, I think people can sometimes use the “heroes are not villains” thing to justify undeserved hate of purposefully-flawed heroes.  People might react more to the delta between their expectations of a character and that character’s actual behavior than they react to the behavior itself, but that doesn’t necessarily imply that their expectations for the character are fair.

To use an obvious example, take Book 2 Korra, who would fall far short of the standard expectations for a hero (for, like, physical aggression towards her SO and threatening to have a guy eaten alive), but was never really intended to meet those expectations to begin with.  It seems pretty silly to judge her by the “hero” syllabus when the show was trying to accomplish something completely different with her.

Mako fares even worse, because the intention was something like “generally heroic guy who’s bad with relationships,” and a lot of people just judge based on the “intended to be generally heroic” part.

And, of course, fictional works can fail at putting across their intentions to the point where the audience is completely justified in thinking a character is intended to be more heroic than they are, but I don’t think that’s really what happened with Mako.  People aren’t reacting to the show trying to push his actions as right (because it, uh, wasn’t); they’re reacting to Mako not meeting their outside expectations of how an admirable male romantic lead should act.

Heroic characters might not be the same as villains, but humanly flawed protagonists aren’t the same as traditional heroes, either.  -_-  I don’t want heroic characters to have to be Superman.  That’s boring. Also, Mako didn’t do “horrible things.”  Mako was a bit of a jerk romantically and willing to act like a (rather tame) antihero in terms of violence when pushed, which is a completely different proposition.  =P

Mako’s flaw wasn’t “can’t choose between two beautiful women.”  His flaws were “oblivious about his own emotions” and “doesn’t know how to let people down without burning bridges entirely,” both of which have everything to do with him being a poor orphan who put his own needs last to take care of his brother.

Also, being kissed by someone without being given any choice in the matter isn’t cheating.  Mako should have told Asami that he had feelings for Korra, but that goes back to the “doesn’t know how to let people down” thing (which is, for the record, spelled out explicitly in Remembrances).

And I shouldn’t have to say this, but just because a character isn’t punished doesn’t mean that the show thinks they’re in the right.  We’re not dealing with Aesop’s Fables here.  =P

Biggest change to the initial setup?  No Prince Wu.  Instead of an obnoxious overgrown child of a Prince, our heir apparent is introverted, lacks the confidence to refuse just about anything, and is terrified of being in front of crowds.  He’s the (implied-to-be illegitimate) child of a distant relative of Hou-Ting and a Republic City citizen.  Oh, and he’s all of ten years old.  In other words, everything about him screams “Raiko chose this kid as a convenient puppet” (instead of offhandedly implying it once and forgetting about it as was done with Wu). All of the time Wu wastes on comic relief in After All These Years is used to explain the political situation: the prince is a figurehead meant to display the trappings of royalty and legitimize Raiko’s chosen advisors.  Kuvira’s supporters hate him not just because he’s royalty but also because they think he’s essentially giving the Earth Kingdom away to an imperialistic foreign power.  Mako’s there to protect him both because Raiko ordered him to and because he’s one of the few cops the prince is comfortable around; as such, Mako actually feels bad for the kid and wants to protect him. (This prince is legitimately terrified by the scary adults throwing pies at him and bursts into tears as soon as they’re out of harm’s way.  Mako comforts him and makes him feel a little better.) Korra Alone is close to perfect and stays pretty much as-is, albeit with Korra’s loss in the Earth Rumble ring being far less embarrassing – she gets some hits in, and the end makes it even clearer how distracted she was by Dark Avatar Korra. The Coronation follows up on the political changes.  Instead of being all excited about how awesome he thinks the ceremony is going to be, the prince is afraid – of being on stage (Mako assures him he’ll do fine), of being king (Raiko assures him that his advisers will do all the work), and of Kuvira (Raiko assures him that she’ll step down).  The prince thanks Kuvira and lets her speak the way Wu did in the show, except that it’s sort of implied that he’s looking for an excuse to not have to stay up at the podium for longer than necessary.  Kuvira, of course, uses the opportunity to take over… and specifically points to Raiko’s use of the prince to control the Earth Kingdom as a reason why she’s justified in doing so.  (The prince hides behind Mako when this happens.  =( )  Some of the time saved by not having Wu freak out about the loss of his throne is used to show us the meeting of the world leaders, where they talk about why they think Kuvira is dangerous (she’s very with-me-or-against-me) and what they can do to stop her (not much as long as she limits her ambitions to the Earth Kingdom).

The Republic City part of Reunion is way more tense because Team Avatar are looking for a terrified kidnapped child instead of an aggravating jerk.  (The prince still gets to ask Korra to go into the Avatar State because he wants to see her eyes glow, but it’s actually kind of endearing since he’s a little kid.) Korra not writing to Mako or Bolin gets addressed in a much more satisfying way – she says that she’d tried writing a bunch of times, but she didn’t want to be a burden.  Mako responds by saying he’d never think she was a burden.

also examine mako an bolins backstory an examine the harship they went through an how mako had like katara became a parental figure to their sibling

and woul give mako some thoughts on to the triads and after book 1 say b2 or b4  from then on  mako was shown helping out the orphans in town due to inspiration from korra  mako knows how it feels for at first mako was focused on his brother and making life better for themselves ( maybe in part due to his experiences with kai) 

President Raiko offhandedly noted Mako's talents at busting Triad members. Sounds like another thing with Mako having grinding his badassery, right? Keep in mind that as someone who did Triad work and having street smart people who have good ears, he knows about the Triads and can counter them.

also change amons appearance as an adult so he would have a darker skin tone like he had when he was a kid ( possibly amon and korra would be related to each other given how kid amon resembled korra though I may be imagining things

As Cousin Tu said in Remembrances, Mako’s afraid of disappointing people and ends up inevitably disappointing everyone in his attempts to avoid disappointing anyone.

I don’t think he had feelings for Asami.  I think he was really surprised when Asami kissed him the first time, but hoped that would be the end of it (he seemed really uncomfortable about it, to be honest).

Of course, that didn’t happen, because Asami was still looking to get back together with him (likely because of the instability in her own life).  He didn’t really seem to respond until the scene immediately preceding his arrest, and even there, it took a lot of pushing to get him involved in anything romantic.

And so, I think Mako was more motivated by the desire not to upset her than because he thought she needed him.  Of course, that just meant more hurt feelings in the end, but that didn’t mean that avoiding hurt feelings wasn’t what motivated him.

I agree that Mako seemed more afraid of losing/upsetting Korra than Asami – the show made it pretty obvious which one of them Mako felt the strongest about! – but I don’t think it’s impossible for him to have felt really afraid of losing/upsetting Asami, too.

It seemed to me like Mako was reacting instinctively to situations as they came up.  So, when Korra was gone and Asami was pushing to spark something, Mako was concerned mostly with losing/upsetting her (possibly exacerbated by him feeling like he already had lost Korra)… but when Korra came back, his fear of upsetting/losing her again overpowered any feelings he had towards Asami.

I do think that his post-breakup vulnerability had something to do with it, though.  It just seems like a compound thing to me.

not to mention stability they went back together for it represented stability to them

so mako rejecting izumis daughter would represent him growing past his flaws of being so afraid of disappointing people he hurts everyone   an example of maturity ( optional instead have the scene be mako sparring with iroh and izumis daughter and winning paralleling how korra first appeared winning with fire bending like how korra first appearance in b4 after the fight reminded me of makos first appearance ) 

of course in the scenario of

which leads to makos growth as a firebender ( maybe developing a firebending technique which allows him to break out of bloodbending grip and keep bloodbending from effecting him by manipulating his inner energy/chi to fight off the control maybe this will happen in b1 or in b3   ) ( maybe getting new types of fire  it will be in a form of a dark  fire which can also affect spirits like what that water bending technique can do and mako gets  blue fire etc to represent how he is the blue oni to korras red oni ) maybe the joke of amon surviving and coming back is true in the remake    and mako has to fight amon who is a foil to mako and because amon cant use bloodbending grip  ( mako may awaken the firebending ability which allows him to nullify the bloodbending using internal chi after a moment where he shows sheer willpower which is what fire chakra deals with  because I remember a shaman reading the energy of korra to figure out korra was infected by a dark spirit  either that or amon went crazy and put a mental block on bloodbending ability due to trauma associated with so no special fire to break away from bloodbending

( it makes sense mako was able to shoot amon was lightning ( just explain that amon crushing lieutenants organs with bloodbending required a good amount of focus which weakened the bloodbending grip on mako and korrra

I saw some of the fandom reactions to Mako before watching tlok and after watching the first few episodes I was a little annoyed at how not terrible he is. When I think about the things that happened in the first two seasons I interpret it as him honestly not knowing what to do as opposed to wanting to be hurtful. He hasn’t had a parent since he was 8 and his only companion has been his little brother. Of course he knows nothing about communication or conflict resolution.

And Bryke just kept introducing potentially compelling storylines between Bolin and Mako and doing nothing with it or playing it off as a joke. The bending bros aren’t getting along in season two? We could’ve seen that the tension was due to Bolin wanting to be Mako’s brother and not his son and Mako not knowing how to let the dynamic of their childhood go. Instead, we got Bolin letting fame go to his head. Bolin decides to adopt Kai and mentions eating out of garbage cans. We could’ve seen them acknowledge the traumatizing nature of poverty and how both boys are projecting onto Kai in different ways, but no. Bolin’s just a goof, so funny. If Mako had to be a cop he could’ve had disagreements with Lin that lead to him explaining that something needed to be done to address poverty, because if there weren’t so many poor kids in the Republic City then the gangs wouldn’t have an endless stream of new recruits. We definitely should’ve seen Bolin genuinely concerned about the prospect of Mako going to prison, but stupid jokes were a better use of time I guess. So. Many. Missed. Opportunities.

also reference bolins supposed insecurity/ or feeling inferior to his brother for I remember that being stated  this possibly motivation for what happened in b2  and a way he could be manipulated by varrick

or maybe have amon survive b1 and have amnesia and appear as a vilain with kuvira and have mako fight him ( given mako and amon were foils ( both of them elder brothers  amon claimed to have lost his parents due to fire bender which is what happened to mako) etc 

 and with his spirit fire break through amons blood bending so amon had to rely on martial arts and actual water bending

maybe we can reference the whole asami equalist thing  by having asami have a twin who was an equalist and hated benders unlike asami  ( asami knew that hiroshi had hated benders but she thought he overcame it for her by how he acted ) 

the twin would target bolin after spirits of competition and seduce him

( maybe use the idea that firelxdykatara used for asami when talking about a possible asami redemption arc for the oc

on the scene with tenzin and siblings I always believed that what happened was aang took tenzin to places important for airbenders and the places that tenzin brought up were just places to rest / vacation after doing air nomad stuff and aang didnt take bumi and kya because their personalities would have found the air nomad/temple stuff boring

Not because it became canon or because it was between KA, but BECAUSE IT WAS PORTRAYED IN A WAY THAT WAS CHARACTER INCONSISTENT AND THROWN TOGETHER IN THE LAST TWO MINUTES. Please feel free to add anything I missed in my frustrated rant. You seem to be one of the few who genuinely understands my issues with the way some of B4 played out.

I guess what I would add is this – one of the reasons the people who liked Book 1/Book 2 Korra are so staunchly against KA is that the ship itself requires undesirable changes to Korra’s characterization to operate.

The change you suggested – add a fifth Book showing how the characters were changed in greater depth – wouldn’t have changed the fact that a Korra who was portrayed as interested in such a relationship would have looked very little like the character we loved in the first two Books.  It’d make for a more consistent story, but that wouldn’t make the change of direction any less palatable (in fact, I’m much happier with things the way, actually, because at least now it’s not difficult to amputate the parts that mess up Korra’s characterization).

In other words, the issue isn’t that the writers didn’t support the ship enough (though it’s pretty clear that they didn’t) – the issue is that the writers chose two of the worst characters to throw together in the first place.  Korra can’t fill the role they tried to have her fill while still being Korra (since she’s far too open about her affection to pull off plausible deniability).  Asami isn’t the sort of character Korra can even be herself around.  They needed different characters more than better writing… and that has nothing to do with both of them being female and everything to do with who they each are as individuals.

when korra went nobody needs her asami went  of course we need you youre the avatar citing her status rather then  her as a person when korras problem since b1 was her over identifying with her role as the avatar  she put korra the avatar before korra the person .

I agree.  Mako’s always had one of the most compelling dynamics with Korra, and I’m sure he would have been able to offer a valuable perspective if he’d been in a position to do so in Remembrances.

With that said, I think there’s also something to be said for having Beyond the Wilds be the first time that Korra recognized that she could count on his support regardless of whatever stopped her from writing to him.

maybe have makos part in remembrances take place a bit before korras bit and have mako get there so after asami goes of course we need you youre the avatar mako gets to talk to korra and help her  and making it clear that the world needs korra .

I’m not sure I’d get the time to write a fic, but I can definitely analyze the way the conversation might have gone.

So.  First things first: Mako would have been a bit more confrontational initially.  He definitely wouldn’t have used tea as a pretext to get her to talk; instead, I think he’d ask her, “Is there something wrong?  You’ve been really distant lately and I’m starting to get worried.”

That, I think, could lead into an explanation for the only-writing-to-Asami thing, which would be really valuable in terms of Korra’s characterization.  Mako could confirm that he’s willing to support her no matter what, and Korra could agree to try to let him in more.

From there, the conversation would move back onto the same general track: Korra’s thinking about what Toph said, and it’s really weighing on her.

“I’ve just been thinking about something Toph said. She told me that the world doesn’t need me and it’s basically pointless to try and stop Kuvira.”

I think Mako might actually ask whether Korra was mischaracterizing Toph’s philosophy – “Are you sure that’s what she meant?"  If he did, I think the conversation would go down a much more productive line much faster, because he’d get Korra thinking about why Toph said what she said (ie. she was challenging Korra to push back against the idea that all human efforts amount to naught) instead of framing it as too ridiculous to consider.

It seems unlikely that Mako would be able to work in a speech like Tenzin’s (though I suppose his thing about how much she inspires him could be repurposed to that end =) ), but I think he’d be much more effective at guiding Korra away from unproductive lines of conversation ("am I a good or bad Avatar?”) toward the issues that were really bothering her (“how should I understand what Toph said?”).

we will keep tenzins part and mix it in with mako helping korra

also lin in remake never damaged the air temple because of breakup and lins reaction to what korra did in office wasnt being amused  and remember tenzin breakup she was angry about it 

and found out about korra trying to steal Rc’s military and remember her sister ( who korra was compared to in b3 ) and actually respect he did what was right in spite of his feelings for korra .

and possibly cite this as to why mako would be a better partner for korra in b2 and in b4

Kara needs to realise she's in love with Lena on her own!!

This one for away from me! 😅

I've been seeing a lot of posts saying they wish Cat Grant would come back and tell Kara she is in love with Lena, or that Alex should tell her.

But the thing is, I don't want that to happen!

Guys, one of things that has been annoying people to no end is the fact that Kara has to be TOLD she's into someone. She had to be told she was into Mon El and she's basically being told she's into William.

Lena had to be told she had chemistry with James, a romance that came out of literally nowhere and didn't go anywhere but rock bottom because of the lack of build up, chemistry, communication and utter disrespect James had for Lena both as a girlfriend and as his boss.

Anyone who reads my posts knows I couldn't stand James, but at least he and Kara had actual chemistry in season one right from the get go. Kara didn't need to be told she was into James, she was aware of it. She did however have to be told by Alex that Adam was flirting with her.

So why would we want someone to once again tell Kara she is into someone rather than her coming to this realisation all on her own?

Should the writers ever put Kara and Lena together they need to come to the realisation that they are into each other all on their own. Constantly having to be told you are into someone is a poor way of showing a romance.

Antis would have a field day it Alex or anyone else told Kara she was in love with Lena. They would say the exact same thing we've been saying, that they had to be told this because there is no chemistry.

So no, I don't want Cat Grant to come back to tell Kara she's being and idiot and is in love with Lena. Should the writers want to make SC canon I want Kara to realise she's in love with Lena. I want the writers to stop making her an oblivious dumb ass who protests she isn't into someone only for another character to tell her she must be and for her to be like "yeah you must be right and I must be wrong " and to constantly second guess herself.

Kara had chemistry with Mon El but the relationship was riddled with problems, lies and a lack of respect. Not all on Mon Els part, Kara didn't have a lot of respect for him either and tried to push him into doing something he didn't want to do.

My biggest issue with Karamel and why I never saw it as endgame was because these two characters didn't really know all that much about eachother. Kara knew Mon El the ex royal guard and the new person he decided to be on Earth and Mon El knew Kara Danvers and Supergirl. Kara didn't know who Mon El truly was until just before she had to send him away. She found out he was the Prince she couldn't stand and they had no time to discuss it before he was yeeted into space. After Mon El came back he was someone completely different, he wasnt the Mon El she had known and Mon El finally got to meet Kara Zor El. This would have been good for me if he hadn't come back with a wife. But he did, and he still strung Kara along, even discussing his marriage issues with her to the point she told him she didn't want to hear it.

Now Kara and Lena have a similar issue. Lena got to know Kara Danvers and Supergirl but unlike Mon El she knew them as two separate people. Kara got to know Lena Luthor, Lena didn't have a secret second identity and didn't lie about who she was, she didn't pretend to be "Lena Thorul" or "Tess Mercer". Kara actively kept her identity a secret from Lena which would have been fine if she hadn't gone all OOC in season 3 and decided she could play Lena by being an ass to her as Supergirl but then come back and play nice and be Lena's bff as Kara Danvers. Yes, Lena kept secrets from Supergirl but she didn't do these things to hurt her, secrets were kept to protect Sam and it's not like Supergirl didn't keep secrets from Lena. Lena didn't tell Kara everything either, but why would she tell her civilian best friend about the top secret projects she was working on ? Or that she had met with Lex and was keeping him alive? What buisness is that of Kara Danvers?

Remember when Kara screamed at Mon El that she had given her heart to a lying Jack ass?

what if Lena believes she gave her heart to a lying Jack ass as well? Lena even told Kara that she had broken her heart.

The funny thing about these two is that no matter what they just can't forget about each other. Even when Supergirl was being an ass to Lena she was still there for her and Lena was still there for Supergirl. They may have been mad at each other but they came swooping in whenever the other needed help.

Remember the scene where Kara had hoped that what had happened wouldn't ruin their friendship? But Lena wasn't going to sit and take that and told her that she had real friends, ones that didn't lie to her and didn't ask her boyfriend to vilolate her trust? Kara or rather Supergirl looked broken and what did she do? Kara went straight back to Lena for the first time in RAO knows when as Kara Danvers so she could be with her best friend so she could have Lena in some way. But we still saw the guilt on her face when Lena said she could never trust Supergirl again.

Then we had the reveal and great RAO!! That was one of the most emotional scenes the show has ever produced. Kara was broken! She knew what she had done was wrong, keeping the secret for a while wasn't wrong but all the bull shit that came with it and the length of time was what was wrong. Kara herself has admitted this. Kara was practically hyperventilating when she revealed herself and when Lena just walked passed her she was broken. The look of utter relief when she believed Lena had forgiven her was amazing. Personally to me it looked like Lena really did in some way forgive her and couldn't bear to see Kara like that. She's always been weak around Kara, but the moment she was alone with the AI and only her thoughts for company the hard side of her that closes of any feelings of love came out.

Then we had Kara going out of her way to try to make Lena happy. She flew around the world to her her favourite things to make her happy. Lena really looked like she appreciated this , I know that she was pretending but part of me thinks she really did appreciate it. It only took a request and one pouty face from Lena for Kara to break the law, to go against advice not to do it just to make Lena happy. Non of that was healthy for either one of them, the problem was that they didn't really discuss the 3 years of lies and everything that came with it. They had a few tears and a hug and suddenly were bffs only with super benefits now. We know why Lena didn't bring it up, but Kara was willing to accept that everything was absolutely fine and she didn't really question it, she was to over the moon Lena seemed OK with her.

Then we had the scene in the Fortress. Lena may have been trying to play the big bad I don't need you Luthor in this scene but she failed miserably. This was Lena's turn to absolutely break down like Kara did at the award ceremony. There are true feeling of love between these two whichever type of love you decide it is. You don't break down over someone you don't care about. Lena shot Lex to keep the world and Kara safe even though she felt betrayed by Kara. Now I know people hate that Lena used Kryptonite , but I'm sorry Kara showed no signs of pain, only heart break. Plus no one gave a rats ass when Jonn or Alex used it on her and she showed it bloody hurt. Even after she was released from the fortress she showed no signs of being in any pain, so any 'torture' commentators can sit down before you hurt yourselves.

Kara STILL believed in Lena and didn't want her hurt when she was about to use the medusa virus. It was Alex who used and manipulated her. Kara was almost getting through to Lena before Alex decided trick her then to point a canon at Lena! Rememeber it was Hope that shot at Kara, Lena didn't want that to happen at all.

Lena is still fighting to help save the day even when she supposedly hates Kara. She helped during Crisis and even if she did 100% hate Kara and the super friends she is still the reason 1000s are still alive. But no one wants to remember that. No one wants to remember she's the reason National City survived the Daxamites, no one wants to remember how she helped with Reign. No one wants to rememeber how she re-created Harun El and cured cancer. No one wants to rememeber that she mass produced Harun El and gave it to Alura along with the recipe so Argo could survive. No one wants to remember she saved Argo a second time when she shot Lex. No one wants to remember that she saved all the aliens of National City from the isotope. No one wants rememeber she had a suit ready to save Supergirl from the poisoned air. Shall I go on? Lena Luthor is a hero, she's going down a dodgy path because she is hurt, confused, betrayed and traumatised but it doesn't mean she's evil. A lot of fans don't seem to understand the definition of the word at all, Lena isnt being good right now by any stretch of the imagination but she certainly isn't evil.

People keep saying how she should finally have her redemption, and how bad it is that the guys get theirs. But here's the thing, all those things I mentioned above? Those ARE Lena's redemption. To be completely honest, Lena came into the show with people believing she needed redemption because of her name. But she didn't, it wasnt Lena herself who needed the redemption, it was the family name. Lena hasn't redeemed the Luthor name so much because Lillian and Lex kept f**king it up, but my RAO she has more than earned her place as hero and not like her family at all. This right here? Is a set back and everyone likes to conveniently forget everything she's done.

The writers have made Lena very OOC this season. Personally I think she will give up on this idea of hers. Lena isn't an angel, but then neither is Kara, or Alex, or Jonn or Brainy. The only actual angels at the moment are probably Nia and Kelly since we haven't seen them do anything dodgy or kill anyone (I'm assuming bad past Brainy did) and have it glossed over like it didn't matter.

But now we have Kara still not being able to stop talking about Lena. Even in regards to possibly starting a relationship with William she can't help but compare it to what happened to Lena.

Now that was a lot, but bottom line is if Kara is in love with Lena SHE and only SHE needs to come to that realisation. Having someone else tell her would cheapen it and make it look like the writers had no choice but to have some tell Kara to make it real, just like that have been doing non stop so far.

Plus Lena and Kara can not start a relationship any time soon. That would be a terrible idea. They can realise they are in love but starting something together would be rushed and unhealthy. THERAPY! They have Kelly there! But personally I think Kelly giving any kind of therapy to her girlfriends sister and her brothers ex would be a conflict of interest. She would be biased in Kara's favour whether she would realise it or not.

i cant stop overthinking this. theres a whole ass debate on twitter whether mickey hitting ian was ooc or not and i just gotta say -

there comes a time where people break tf down after being abandoned and abandoned time and time again. mickey was brought up in a violent household, he's made efforts to change and progress over the years, but you can't just forget about how he used to be since 'its been years and he's a changed man this is ooc!' i call BS.

its never been healthy! its never been promoted as healthy. punching ian was a violent act, but if yall wanna just look at this without critical thought bc you're on some pacifist kick by all means.

the way i see it, and really no ones gotta agree with me but we gotta stop cancelling what just happened and deem mickey as 'undeveloped' and regressed just bc he did something that was more s1-3 mickey.

we've never gotten to see mickey after ian's hurt him. e.g. 3x12, 5x12, 6x01, 7x11. the show has the habit of erasing mickey as a character after they show like 20 seconds of his emotions being hurt - especially post-s5.

mickey has felt abandonment and utter fking heartbreak from ian so many times, and yeah we can bring in how shit he was to ian in s1-3 but that doesn't make it 'even' or a competition on whos hurt who - that's a different story altogether.

mickey has put ian before himself too many times and after their time in prison together I really think he somewhat healed from the past, and i say somewhat, Liberally. i can defs see it giving mickey the idea of him and ian being more stable now since they survived everything and prisom together, and still made their way back to one another.

how many times do you think mickey hears i love you? from someone besides ian? probably no one right. the proposal scene was sweet as, you can see mickey tearing up bc he was happy.

the courthouse scene... that was just hit after hit. first ian didnt believe him abt paula, then he insulted him and basically called him a murderer, and even after that mickey was willing to sign and marry ian, (boy what are u doing...) and ian backed out (for his own reasons which we all kno abt).

and honestly. perhaps it is 'ooc' for mickey to hit ian, when ian is finally chasing him, finally wanting to talk it out with mickey and not just run away! and if you think of it from ian's pov, its growth. he's really trying here, i can see that.

but if you look at it from mickey's pov, he's shut tf down, he becomes overwhelmed, he leaves the room. the difference here, from the last times ian has 'left', is that ian finally followed. but that's not registering for mickey. he's not able to see that as 'this isnt the same situation repeating itself.'

so anything ian says is just sliding past, its not common to hear ian even talk about frank and monica but he did, ian was being vulnerable, but to mickey it just sounded like ian wanting to have the last word, to excuse himself, to not take responsibility for hurting mickey again.

and so i personally believe that when ian yells out 'i wanna know how you feel', mickey just wants to hurt him. maybe he was going to say something scathing and hurtful, but he snapped and punched him in the face.

its violent. its a punch. but its also 'leave me the fk alone NOW' and 'this is exactly how i feel do you feel that'

and boyyy do we have a lot more to unpack here from all of that but the 1 very important thing that stands out the most is mickey's unwillingness to listen. ian backing out, and not just that, but giving mickey that face, that face that mickey knows ian does right before he leaves him, mickey is transported to the past, it doesnt matter how differently ian tried to handle the situation this time. mickey's abandonment wounds run so fking deep and that's why i also think it wasnt ooc. mickey was finally done, he'd reached his capacity to hurt inside, the only thing he could control right there were his fists.

(mickey not helping ian and goin to the hospital AFTER ian fell down the stairs is a different story and i find that ooc and sad)

Thoughts on Why R U ep12

I’m so confused now about which episode is supposed to be the official ending of the show cause I thought ep12 was it and the next episodes would extra content that might or might not have anything to do with the actual story of the show so far but now it looks like the story continues next week soooo is ep13 the last one?

Before I get into it though I want to talk about that scene. I deliberately didnt say anything about it the entire week despite teasers and whatnot because I didnt want to jump to conclusions and I wanted to judge only what I see on screen as part of the actual show. I’ve talked a little a lot cough about what I’d like to see from it with @graveformydarling​  and I have to say I’m beyond pleased to see that it went pretty much how we imagined it (minus a whole lot of desperate needy angst sex but apparently that’s for next ep  and it’s not even gonna be agsty? so double yay to all of that). Fighter drunk and jealous wants to remind Tutor of what they’ve shared and at first Tutor tries to resist but you can see the moment after the first kiss on the bed when he gets that look on his face that says I will eat this man alive in the next 2mins if someone doesnt stop me and kisses back and Fighter thinks things are ok now so he continues till Tutor snaps himself out of it and blows colder than Antarctica on Fighter who promptly breaks down and takes my heart with him.

So yeah, I dont have a problem with the way things played out and I think it was perfectly in character for both of them given the situation. Which is always a plus when you can create drama without making characters OOC.

Now onto the rest of the show!

listening to Fighter beg Tutor to tell him what he did wrong so he can change it is already hard enough but the way his voice BREAKS both in the scene with Tutor later and with his father is just 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

genuinely curious: do you think that the depictions of homophobic abuse and violence towards lgbt characters in tlou2 outweighs the portrayal of their other experiences and happy moments of love/self expression? is it bad representation if the lgbt characters go through strife and pain as well as being happy and allowed to express themselves? i feel like there are valid criticisms to be made, but views on lgbt rep tend to be pretty polarized, either "it's great" or "it's bad" with no nuance

I think a big issue I have with the characters and representation specifically in The Last of Us 2 is that in the game the characters feel like they were created solely to serve a point in the plot, the game’s tone is progressively bleak (and the violence is gratuitous), and the inclusion of bigotry also felt unnecessary.

As a disclaimer, I’m not saying tlou2, Naughtydog, or even Neil Druckmann is simply homophobic because the gay character gets in fights and all that, but for me personally I felt that the treatment of lgbt characters in the game made me uncomfortable and wasn't satisfying. I’m glad they weren't outright stereotypes, but I’d like it if there was a bit kinder treatment of these characters. It just really feels like nd heard they didn’t do diversity well in the first game and just threw in a bunch of poc and lgbt characters without really thinking... I don’t think what happens is homophobic, but it feels very thoughtless.

The characters in tlou2 are not well done, I’m not sure what happened between The Last of Us and tlou2, but they do not feel the same at all. Every character in the game feels very weak and the player themselves cant name 10 facts about each one, even characters like Abby or Dina (I’m excluding Ellie and Joel because they already existed). This applies the most to Jessie imo, but I’ll only discuss Ellie, Dina, and Lev since they are the lgbt characters in the game. in tlou2 Ellie is just the vengeful character and as Neil put it, “the villain.” tlou2 could have been a wonderful opportunity to add more to her story, but here she’s basically just the traumatized girl who likes girls and is playing the guitar to remember Joel. Dina is basically the player’s partner who is randomly benched halfway through and from a narrative point she is something that Ellie can lose, you learn she has some ability with tinkering, she is Jewish, bi, has a sister... and not much else. Finally Lev feels like the main justification to sympathize with Abby, without Abby he is introduced literally being hunted because he is trans. Every character in the game is like this, but with these three very prominent characters, it’s disappointing.

Next, for tlou2 the violence seems to be double what happened in tlou, being much more detailed and forcing you to look at what is happening (Ellie getting her face smashed in and Abby threatening to kill Dina and its good because she is pregnant). Tlou was able to thread the needle concerning this successfully; having Ellie being kidnapped, hunted, and almost being sexually assaulted to immediately having the famous scene where Joel and Ellie pet giraffes. Tlou also (to my knowledge) did not have those shock value moments 2 constantly has, and when there is violence its rarely explicitly shown. Now in tlou2 this is almost the opposite, instead of going back and forth between intense and calm scenes, the sequel seems to steadily go downhill in tone. I know that these specific characters arent being hurt BECAUSE they’re lgbt, but its still not good to see.

The happiest moments are the beginning with Dina and Ellie, but while they're having fun and making out together what’s happening? Joel is currently getting his face caved in by Abby. Halfway through the game after Ellie and Dina are beaten, it seems to go back up in tone, but ooc tommy forces Ellie to turn back to revenge and the whole thing comes crashing back down. “I’m afraid of ending up alone” Ellie chooses to leave Dina and Ellie’s life is now hell going all the way back to Abby. After all this Ellie comes back to their house but her family is no longer there. Ellie is alone. I have a huge issue with the ending and it’s that you are explicitly shown that everything there is sad. Nd doesn't make “letting go” of Joel a relief, and they don’t show any implication of Ellie reuniting with Dina. Our lesbian protagonist is now living her worst fear, even though she did the “right” thing and spared Abby. Lev’s ending is clearly better because he’s affiliated with Abby, but it doesn’t change that throughout the story he’s repeatedly hurt and has a similar fall to Ellie after Abby thinks she finds the fireflies, he is never explicitly shown recovering from being made a literal slave and almost crucified.

My last issue is that the bigotry is entirely uncalled for, especially in a world that is as already violent as they’ve made tlou2. One of the most striking moments to me in tlou2 is Dina saying, “What’s this” referring to lgbt flags, indicating she has no concept of pride for being bisexual. Ellie also has no clue and they joke about the erotica and thats the end of that. Later Ellie is called a slur. The man who does it isnt exactly punished and Ellie is forced to make up with him later. That scene and the scene at the end somehow included Ellie, but clearly were about Joel. The last flashback is used as a tragic “Ellie could have forgiven Joel but he was killed :(” scene, there’s very little focus about her sexuality positively. Ellie and Dina are also never openly gay, the one time they are (in a room full of maybe 50 people) Ellie is called a d*ke. Ellie’s previous gf is scrapped except for subtle concept art and notes and she only has one conversation in the beginning mentioning a her.

Then on the opposite side of characters, Lev’s entire story outside of and before Abby is being hunted simply because he is trans. He’s deadnamed multiple times and even Abby cluelessly says it (??). There’s endless reasons why he could have been hunted (hell, just simply wanting to leave the cult because theyre so violent), but nd went with this... for some reason. Him being trans is also never discussed in a positive way other than Abby’s weird attempt to make him feel better by giving him a toy (”Hey, I know your group you grew up with and family literally wants you dead, but uh, would a toy help?”). Lev THEN goes BACK to the people who wants him dead, and we’re shown that his mother has viciously attacked him and he accidentally kills her due to this. Him being trans is never mentioned again... I don’t think we have to exactly hide homophobia in fiction, but I personally do not play a game to get called a slur, I can find that irl. Also if these things were to be included, they could have at least shown comfort after, but they don’t. The scenes are simply more shocking violence and are never mentioned again, simply skipped over. Nd used these characters being lgbt as an excuse for them to be discriminated against for it instead of anything positive.

Their advertising of Ellie kissing a girl in 2018 and in 2020 having her be called a slur instantly after what was shown to us is just SO jarring... Nd and their stans like to say, “Well if you don’t like The Last of Us 2, you’re just homophobic.” but that’s honestly so ridiculous. There simply can’t be more instances of oppression than acceptance and think you're doing something good?? Revealing Lev’s deadname gives people an opportunity to be transphobic, having Ellie be called a slur and lash out at Joel after gives people a reason to be angry at her there. You simply can’t include these things if it can do the opposite thing that you want. The point of including minorities in fiction should be so people can related and identify with these characters, not as some virtual reminder that people will hate you specifically for these reasons. It should not be too much to ask for a character you are like to be treated well and nd not listening to fans critique the game is sad,

I suppose I appreciate the attempt at inclusion, but it feels like a failed one that I preferred would not have happened, or at least had been strongly corrected. It would have been different if maybe Ellie had reunited with Dina apologizing, Abby telling Lev she supports him, Joel saying he loves Ellie, or even Dina and Ellie talking about being gay in some way thats anything other than making out and calling each other “babe”, but idk... that didn’t happen. Dina and Ellie are clearly supposed to be the main rep, but I feel like they really missed things they could have mentioned. This rep really reminds me of Life is Strange, but I can’t decide if dying or ending up alone and depressed at the end is worse. I’m probably missing more things but yeah... It would be cool if my lesbian protagonist did not have to be traumatized for an overdone, useless story.

What brought Nemain to this blog? : So many things! 1.) Your writing is eloquent, and does his character justic. For a character like Cloud, who for the most part isnt much of a speaker, descriptive and often times intercontemplative writing helps him to feel real, consistent -even with his quirks- especially when Canon divergence is present. You do this so well. 2.) Dedication. Because of the last reason, it was instantly clear that you are a longtime fan. And for FF7 [which has been a life long obsession of mine heh] Cannon and divergent RPs, I personally prefer people who have some background and understanding. I guess I would have to say I lean toward passionate fans when looking for co-writers. Simply because I have been writing as Seph for 12ish years, and he is my most influential muse in/out of rp... Nemain, omfg I have no idea where I’m supposed to start with this... you made me cry, AGAIN ;A;

I’ll respond to this via the list, like you have: 1) Cloud is a man of very few words, and those he does speak are rarely anything positive in a sense. I will admit that I’ve taken some artistic liberties with how I deliver my portrayal considering his general demeanour and how he interacts with the world and the people around him. So I suppose that can make my version of Strifey a little canon divergent in that sense. But yes, a lot of my rp’s usually centre around his thought processes and his actions as opposed to him speaking given that very fact that, well... he ain’t much of a talker, but honestly that actually works so well for me and the style I use for roleplay. My favourite part of the development of a thread is establishing how muse is feeling, building the world around them and such, So Cloud, I feel sorta suits me that way. It makes me so SO happy that you enjoy my writing though, because in actual fact I found Cloud quite difficult to adapt into a muse, which I will explain further in the next bit 

2) Hahaha, yes, I am a long long loooooooong time fan of FFVII. It is my favourite game of the franchise even though it wasn’t the first that I played, it’s the one that really stuck with me. I’ve been madly in love with Cloud since he was made of blocks, bless him~ That being said however, I am actually relatively new to the FF RPC, regardless that I first played Final Fantasy VII about 20 years ago (showing my age here a lil bit lol! Just so you know, I’m OLDER THAN DIRT) Playing the remake is what prompted me into making Cloud into a muse, although I wasn’t even half way through the remake when I created the blog. And, I admit, I floundered... A LOT initially, because I’d forgotten a lot of the lore from the OG, hadn’t seen Advent Children in YEARS and hadn’t even finished the latest version of the game. So I was here just making shit up hoping against hope that it would just come back to me. A lot of my first days here were just me screaming I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M DOING xD I ended up doing research for rp’s, looking up locations, character profiles and such just to remind myself of things and try and make myself fit into the RPC that already seemed so established already. I felt like a bit of an outsider for a while, but I kept trying and eventually Cloud became less of a stranger to me and he started to develop almost independently with every thread I worked on. Of course the longer I hung on to my dwindling hope that I could write Cloud well, the more I started to remember and I started to be able to relate more to my muse and to others. I know that it took us a while to really interact, and that first interaction was an OOC instance, but I’m so glad we left it that long because of the reasons stated above, lol. 

3) This is possibly the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. You know I adore you right...? The fact that you were eyeing up MY writing fills me with so much joy, because, honey, the way you put Sephiroth into words is, in short, absolutely extraordinary. There’s no words I can use to describe how your writing makes me feel. I physically gasp and weep at your replies to Cloud, like you don’t even know. So I’ve no idea why you felt intimidated by my writing ability when you are just so much more superior in every way shape and form. And I’m not saying that as a disservice to myself. You really are so freaking talented, just... out of this world man. So good in fact that I’ve actually shown RL friends of mine your writing and they were just as blown away as I am each and every time I’m gifted with your amazing talents. And yeah, hahaha, we get on pretty well right? Spoilers!!!! Charmed 02x07 Review

I still dont know y'all.

Okay so here is the thing. This episode had more things I disliked rather than liked. Just because I didn't like it doesn't mean the episode still wasnt objectively "good". The pacing was good. Suspense wise, it was really good on the part of the main plot (Parker and the demon situation). Just by going pacing and references, I would say this was about a 7/10 pretty standard. If I had liked other plot points it would be higher probably.

Well onto what I did like about the episode:

Abby.

Abigael was by far the best thing on this episode. She added comedy but also her plot thickened and we got to see her as the cunning villian plotting for her throne. I want more of this! Is this Overlord stuff not going to amount to anything? They just left that plot when they captured her and so now that it is coming together I am happier about it. Whether a lie or not, her Harry comment had me rolling.

Jordan.

So when he and the ring first showed up I said it be cool of his family some where on there had been witch hunters but that he himself was not one. And it seems like they are going this route. Which I am up for. But if they try to kill him I will riot. Like this poor man is decent and been put through the ringer with these ladies craziness (mostly maggie). Give the man a break!

I like the idea of a bloodline curse. I wonder if they will try to break it next episode or if Maggie is going to take most of the plot and Jordan's fate will be wait until after the mid season finale.

Now onto things I didnt like:

Melkat being separated

Listen, I get why Mel is the one with the seperated ship. She is the only one who actually takes her role to the next level. Her sense of duty is high and unlike Maggie she has some self control when it comes to those matters. But if Kat doesnt come back then what was the point? Unless they plan on sinking Parkerita hard, Kat leaving is completely unfair and makes no sense. Because arguably she should be the less problematic love interest. She accepts that Mel can't tell her things, she believes in the magic. She isn't a part of this whole demon fiasco or wierd love triangle, square thing going on. So unless they removed her because things are about to get really bad and unsafe in safe space, then the point was just to hurt Mel or at least to show us that mel is the more likely to forgo love because of past experience and sense of secrecy which while I understand personality wise, I feel it could still be done and let her be happy.

I mean unless we plan on torturing everyone (which I would not prefer, i don't mind angst but if something must end then end it quickly. I am not a sadist) then stop using mel as the doesnt get a happy ship for a minute person.

Maggie and Parker possible engagement

I am going to be that Bitch. Maggie is 20. This would be her sophomore year of college. Even with her not in college. She ain't self-sufficient. She doesnt have a lot of direction in her life. She is still growing and figuring things out. For me it isnt an issue of wanting a slow burn with Jordan. If Parker came back and was her bf that helped out I wouldn't care. But in season 1 this boy asked her to abandon her sisters to run away with him. Now he is asking that she marry him. What does he think a marriage is supposed to look like?

Like y'all I get the romanticness and the love, but these are kids. Marriage is a job. Like yes love is important. But lots of work is needed to maintain a healthy marriage. You cannot convince me this 20 year old with an overhanging war on her plate is ready for marriage. Maggie is smart and beautiful. But she still has growing up to do. The fact that her sister is shown protecting thier secrecy and holding back (like they agreed) on the romance and Maggie just goes for it shows that there is still room for growth (on both parts).

This, to me, cannot end well. I mean I hope they don't hurt Parker, but I can't realistically see a marriage happen given the circumstances.

Hacy

Okay so. I didn't like this. On one hand, good on Macy and Harry to still be able to get a job done together inspite of the passive aggressiveness and jealousy. But the writers need to be careful because this kind of stuff can border toxic and eventually become toxic.

For one, macy should not be jealous or projecting....let me rephrase that. Macy shouldn't be showing these things and dropping vague hints at Harry when he is down. I get she maybe confused about her feelings, I get that she may be jealous. But last season she was a little jealous and mostly took it in stride. For her to accuse Harry of having a thing with abigael when 1) when would he have had the time? he has been pretty busy trying to help and save her 2) she knows his feelings how can she think he'd be into someone else when she read his mind and his darklighter was all over her.

Then with the question about the darklighter, the saying she doesnt know what she felt, then immediately saying he was a piece of harry, when it is obvious harry has been down since the whole ordeal. I mean sorry, but no that ain't right and considering how much they stressed Macy's self control and not openness those things being the stuff to spill out is not cool.

And Harry. Har. . .Harry. . . .Harold. . . . .

For the show to establish that Harry is insecure, but doesn't plan on persuing anything, and for it to have previously establish that Harry is good at repressing and still being there for Macy with little awkwardness (the first 3 episodes) on his part, To then make him the passive agressive brat he was this episode was soo ooc. I get that this has all shaken him. I get he feels like he is broken. But to make snide remarks obviously directed at Macy . . . Made me feel like back in season 1 when Galvin got mad at her in the lab. They both are messing up and aren't communicating well.

God Dang! They don't have to necessarily talk out thier feelings and have a relationship resolution, but they can't continue on like that. They need to have some sort of talk. If not then why would I support the ship if it is turning into something unhealthy. Hopefully they can pull together with not so much snarkiness next episode.

Ok so, my thoughts on the VR ending and VR overall as the 6th entry.

Also because most of my thoughts aren't...complimentary im editing the names so they dont appear in the general tag. This also got LONG so readmore.

The Good:

- A//i's character still managed to be the one thing that saves VR as a show for me. Even with all the weird...contradictory plot issues, A//i still manages to be a compelling character who brings up the question of the right to live. I actually do like how he made it so itd be an ultimatum that he loses in either way, even if the ending kinda ruins the weight behind the action (which I will get to in a bit).

The meh:

-the ending was left somewhat open to interpretation which for a show as...empty as this was works out but honestly it was so vague as to A//is fate is that it may as well not exist.

The Bad:

-The main conflict behind the entire show is...simulations. No joke. Every conflict in the show can be traced back to someone doing a simulation and deciding to lose it. Even if they gave the (rather stupid) explanation that AI experience simulations like actual life (which btw the first villain wasnt an AI so this reason doesnt work), the fact that Yu//sa//ku took a bullet for one of A//is robot bodies that he literally has millions of is...just stupid and there solely for the "uwu drama".

-They actually killed A//i off but wait hes actually alive, so like the final duel literally had no purpose aside from...drama??? The episode is called Compromise and yet A//i had to lose just to keep Yu//sa///kus win streak and theres no compromise whatsoever. Yu//sa//ku litetally destroys the CompromA.I.se card so its just, no comrpomise in any way.

-This....wasn't a happy ending??? I have no idea why both the show and the fanbase frame this as a happy ending bc think about it in context: A//i pretty much loses everything, so does Yu//sa//ku who just isolated himself from everyone else for 3 months in order to comb the network for whatever remnants of A//i exist.

- So many of the supporting characters are just...there. Like, there is no side/supporting character who actually has a character arc in this show. Lets go through the list: Ao//i is pretty much the same character as when she started and goes through 2 unnecessary costume changes for a character growth that isnt there because she has literally ONE victory against an opponent that was stated multiple times to be weak and faulty and have her lose and tortured multiple times for no reason whatsoever, G//o had this weird deterioration that may have lead to something but ultimately didn't, Ak//ira is pretty much the same, J//in has ALL HIS TRAUMA ERASED SO THERES THAT, literally the only side characters who have some sembalnce of an arc are Sho//ichi (the best one anyways) from his "betrayal" in S2, and E//ma with her reconciliation with her brother. Outside of that, nothing. Yu//sa//ku, Re//volv//er and Ho//mu//ra are pretty much the only characters with an arc and even then they're not too solid? Which brings me to-

- Yu//sa//ku has been so wildly ooc since the end of S1. Ive seen so many say that his enphasis on bonds and friendship are character growth but actually looking at the sequence of events he suddenly just like. changes completely around his first duel with Ea//rth. Plus, the message of "revenge is good" was always so weird? Like, he got his revenge so all his trauma is ok now and never brought up or explored again aside from within the first 20 episodes. Theres nothing about it after that and its never built upon. The whole point of a revenge arc is to show that its BAD and yet he starts preaching that revenge is wrong AFTER he successfully gets revenge??? And even then its not exactly a revenge as it is more lashing out since it was Ko//ga//mi who was behind it all. Yu//sa/ku was definitely at his strongest characterization in S1 where we see how badly the Lo//st Incid//ent hurt him but S1 had its own share of problems that led into S2 and so many random plot threads that never went anywhere (such as the Anot//her Incid//ents, the Cy//berse deck being irl despite that A//i didnt have a physical body before then, The Bl//ue Mai//den meetup that was repeated by Nao//ki like 10 times in S2 which seemed to be leading up to something but never did, and the fact that theres 4 recap episodes in S1 already spelled some early problems). So much of the supporting cast function to just say "he turned this whole situation around...with ONE card..." i kid you not watch back every Yu//sa//ku duel I GUARANTEE you'll see someone saying hes a great duelist and serve only that purpose. ALSO THE END OF THE SHOW IS JUST MORE DRAMA?? They make him suffer for no reason other than that they can??? What purpose does his suffering at the end serve aside from just "uwu...poor baby..."???

-Re//volv//er is not a good rival. At all. He's so incredibly bland because much like Yu//sa//ku he was at his strongest characterization in S1 where he actually had some solid motivation in continuing his fathers work and being unable to accept that his dad was evil, yet most of that just flies out the window with all the collateral he's willing to inflict with the K//O//H?? All his character amounts too post S1 is "yeah i told you robots are evil and YOU didnt believe me". The most we got of him growing out of this mindset was calling A//i by his name exactly one time and nothing ever again. Also the fact that in the end we see him and his crew working for S//O//L despite the fact that they were gonna turn themselves in for their crimes just. leaves a rotten taste in my mouth. hes not a good rival at all. All he proves to me is that a good design can get anyone to like a character.

- Ho//mu//ra is...there. I literally cant say anything about him because he absolutely has the strongest motivations of the three but then the show jumps through hoops to push him to the back of the other two. He also has a bunch of early victories I do feel are undeserved (ESPECIALLY the A//oi duel that one pissed me off so much). Also the fact that the show just made him Yu//sa//kus friend immediately whereas it took Sho//ichi several months to get Yu//sa//ku to warm up to him just had me :/.

-The speed duels were a cool concept but they just became these huge cheat fests? Seriously Play//Maker uses StAccess literally every speed duel to pull out a new monster from whatever plot holes the writers need to patch up. I am not kidding. You can go back to every single speed duel Yu//sa//ku was in and youll see this. Skills just werent a good mechanic because when a protag pulls a new card its supposed to be representative of some growth/characterization but he stays the same pretty much throughout the entire show up until S2 where he wildly just switches personality. Plus the fact that Que//en could literally use a skill whenever just shows that it was cheating???

- The villains were overall lackluster. Boh//man was the best because Re//volv//er is just flat whereas A//i struck me more as an anti hero. And again: simulations are the enemy. Light//ning ran one and decided to go ham. Kog//ami ran one and decided to go ham. A//i ran one and decided to go ham. The conflicts are all the same and it just makes things happen rather than following a consistent plot thread? I will say that Boh//mans characterization of a hive mind to become perfect does strike my tastes but thats more my personal preference in villains rather than any merit he has.

- This is a bit of a personal pet peeve but I've seen some of the praise to this show about being the "darkest Y//G//O to date so therefore its good" and im just...no? Edge does not make a good show and just because they lightly focused on the tragedy in Yu//sa//kus life (and it IS lightly because its barely touched upon after mid S1) most of the stuff that happens in this show is pretty tame in comparison? The most that happened here was an attempted global hack of everyones minds from S2 and destroying the internet in S1, with a few references to the torture that happened during the Lo//st incid//ent. To compare: the previous series had this huge interdimensional war that, even if they could reverse the carding of people (which makes Den//nis' attempted suicide even more tragic), ended with an entire dimensions full of brainwashed soldier children, a dimension with huge class inequality that was still being heavily worked upon since there were canonically slaves, and a dimension that was savaged by a genocide and total global destruction. Hell, the series before that had a huge war where the arc actually did focus on the tragedys the characters faced and held consequence (even if they pulled a dbz revive everyone at the end). And as far back into the very first series there were even more graphic depictions of war and death? Idk i feel like people are overplaying the edge here just to find a way to complement this show.

Overall:

I'm...genuinely dissappointed. VR really had so many strong starting points but it all just fell apart at execution. Really the only reason I even bothered to watch it as kong as I did was because Im a longtime fan of the series and wanted to give it a chance rather than jump on whatever love/hate train the show has. Its been rated poorly on the JP side and most of the approval is a vocal minority. Just to be clear: this isnt me bashing the show, my opinions are mine and you can agree or disagree to any capacity, and even if a show isnt well written you can still find a reason to enjoy it despite the flaws.

But if Im being perfectly honest? I do not like this show. It's rushed, choppy, has no consistent or clear plot threads, most of the genuinely interesting characters are wasted for the protagonist to look better and he never really does because he ALSO has an interesting idea behind him but it never goes anywhere. It started strong but ended so poorly. Id be angry but im more dissappointed because Ive watched this show from day 1 and wanted to see the good things it has rather than focus on the negatibes but. yeah. This show really had potential and yet it just fell flat.

The full story

(Heya all! This is litteraly the full story of Maeddrona up till the point im rping her, I just kinda took this moment to word vomit everything I made for this character, she’s been developing in my mind for about six months, So, yeah. OOC super Long post under the break!)

Maeddrona is a literal incarnation of the void, previously I mentioned it being old, but the void is old and a God actually looked around as the universe got more and more busy and full- It just kinda.. stopped. Once humans became a thing it looked at mortal life and envied humans for achieving so much with so little time, it looked at the smaller picture of happiness humans could carve for themselves amidst a bloody history. So it just kinda, gave up it’s greater power and sentience, it’s essence possessing humans every once in a while.

These humans would usually barely live passed the age of 15, their lives being ended by some odd coincidence one way or another. It seemed as if dark reality had no place for hope and optimism. There was one that lived to be older, in about the 2nd Millennium *cough*  but she was murdered but someone very close to her.

Now, Maeddrona was growing up on her planet of Fortuna a little bit before Emps has started his rise on Terra. She reaches about age 35 and is the first Void-Born to awaken to her powers.

The entire planet is wiped clean of animal life and the planet itself is shrouded in an odd bubble-ish thing of space so warped you can look at it and see the stars behind you. This is only an illusion, and a result of the explosive amount of power awakening her, but she is left alone on this planet and with the isolation of the Age of Strife, no-one’s gonna show up. (if someone did show up, it would look almost like a black hole might be there, and they’d turn right the fuck around, because whatever that is, we’re not fucking with it)

So Maeddrona, now awakened to her void powers, realizes she... can make things happen by thinking about them on the Planet. Nothing big or overly huge- but time seems to have stood still since she gained her powers, but if she focuses on a plant growing and producing fruit, that’s what that one plant will do until she stops thinking about it. So she can at least survive- just, things are... wrong here. She also begins to have dreams, memories of each past life. Not movie-style, i mean boring, day by day, feels like real time dreams until she wakes up. It it does feel like she is this person, not like she’s watching from outside. She doesn't quite understand what these dreams mean. but she begins to write them all down in a journal.

Though, with Maeddrona being void, have discovering she can utilize a pocket dimension of just empty space, and that putting anything besides herself in there will slowly desolve it. A being with power like this and also who just caused an entire planets worth of population to die would be very interesting to atleast one God i can think of...

So Tzeentch enters her head, uninvited, occasionally, and tries to find out what the fresh funky fuck is happening in THIS corner of the galaxy! Maeddrona is convinced she’s going crazy and the eldritched fuck is all for it. Eventually Maeddrona says something like “prove to me you’re a god of knowledge and not my mind going mad, give me the knowledge I need to escape this fucking planet.” So she stands there, waiting for her mind to suddenly ascend with understanding and learning.

Then a book drops to the ground next to her.

Then another.

Then it starts RAINING BOOKS and she just runs to hide in a building, Fully believing a god was in her head now.

So, now, she starts reading and begins making a ship. It takes her the better part of  50 years (when she awoke to the void her body stopped aging, but more as a “she is nothing, neither alive nor dead” kinda thing) with non-stop work and learning and failures and dedication to get SOMETHING functional. (Thankfully she has an entire worlds worth of resources all to herself) Then she starts fucking with how to FTL travel- because she doesn't have a warp drive. She couldn’t actually make one- so she fucks around with the void, and finds she can travel trough the void while going through the warp as a bit of a substitute. (Its similar to how the Tau FTL travel) So she ends up getting to another planet! But she enters in so close to the planet that she kinda crashes. not far from her crash she finds a few dying people- she (correctly) assumes this might be her fault and tries to fix it, attempting to do something with her powers to save them. She saved one. She makes the first Void-Touched. The void changes her hair, and it tells her a name that she likes far better than her own, and is so grateful to Maeddrona that she wants to follow her when she leaves. Maeddrona isnt alone anymore

(at this point I should mention I take a lot of things from Warframe- specifically names, weapons, frames and abilities. I just love it so much!! but that’s all I really take.)

So for the next long while Maeddrona flies about space, making another deal with Tzeentch to get dreams from people dying that are compatible with the void (she doesn’t question how he knows who is and who isnt, he’s a God *shrugs*) and gets about 30 people in her little family. Occasionally they run back to her Fortuna because it’s their planet now and no-one else knows its there. (Yes, i have all of these as OCs, i know all their plots and stories;;;;)

Then one dream leads her to Terra, where a small boy is dying. Foolishly, she goes. She has much better control over her powers now, masking the ship with the same warped gravity look to try and mask their presence as they go to the biggest hornet nest in the galaxy.

And she is not surprised when the warmongering ruler of the planet does interrupt her in the middle of saving a child. He questions her, and she answers honestly. But her soul just feels... wrong. off. like it’s not there, but obviously something is!

She smiles, and offers her greetings. She does not prostrate herself before him, does not whisper rumors and legends and feats of his beings.

She smiles and patiently waits for him to respond. through their conversations an interest grows. Both are old souls and both hold immeasurable power.

And both consider themselves human.

When she says she is void, he asks if she is Chaos, ready to destroy her if needed. She gags. As by now she knows the intentions of the voice in her head, He and the 3 others have stolen a few of her Void-touched. “I am no God.” would come her reply, Honest.

He would then decide, though not entirely honest, she is no threat, And that these powers she speaks of are interesting, He asks if she would mind being studied,

of course she says yes

Eventually a relationship does form, and while their views are fairly different on many topics (read: most if not all) they balance each other out when they are willing to listen to one another, as both are incredibly hard headed and stubborn. He lets her in on the Primarch project, wanting her insight on raising children as she has been motherly to most if not all her Void-touched.

And he even offers they should make a child from her genetics, to raise along with the Primarchs. She will be human- or Void-born as Maeddrona would call her. But she loves the idea.

Then, tensions rise a bit. the primarchs are still being developed, but Emps wishes to increase the reach of his Imperium a bit as well. there is a system he wishes to acquire- and Maeddrona offers her and her children to do so instead, they can get there faster and her children are very effective with their abilities and such. But he refuses.

This is not the first time this has happened, she thinks he is afraid of the Void, afraid that it is too similar to chaos to be fully trusted on battle. And then, Tzeentch speaks to her once more, agreeing with her, She’s right! Of course she’s right! She should just get there first and do it before he arrives anyway. Show him he’s wrong, give him undeniable proof.

So she does. And... the conversation she has with the Emperor is less than pleasant, It is long distance, but he has been aware of Tzeentch talking to her for some time, he was growing worried that she wouldn’t shoo him away and would sometimes humor his asinine conversations. But now

Now she’s starting to listen to Tzeentch.

He tells her they will have a talk when he arrives, and plans to give an ultimatum as she is so close to falling and she doesn’t even know it. While waiting for Emps to arrive Maeddrona makes a discovery that she is pregnant, this being incredibly exciting news as she believed the void made her infertile.

When Emps finally arrives and she is sent for, and he feels something is wrong. When he sees the presence of two souls, though masked and hard to make out from the void, his mind is not on pregnancy, it is on her fall. He assumes she has allowed Tzeentch to at least semi-possess her and makes a decision, he grimly faces her smiling self and names her an enemy of the Imperium.

At first she is stunned into immobility- but then he begins approaching her, and she flees. She uses the void to go back to her ship and tells all her family that the Emperor is going to kill all of them- So she uses her power and uses escape pods to put them all in Void-stasis (it’s like a Schrodinger's box really, while it’s closed, whatever’s inside of it does and does not exist at the same time until someone opens it and everything exists again. So, they arent even sleeping, just not existing.) and sends them out, one by one, because she doesn’t understand and thinks he’s here to slaughter them because of the void.

She then send out two pieces of equipment, a head accessory known as the “Halo of the void”, and her giant two handed long sword, the “Blade of void.” She then separates her soul into three pieces among herself and these things, using her emotions  as separation points.  Her confusion and shock go into the Halo, her anger and feelings of betrayal go into her sword, leaving her with her fear. Her incomparable fear. She sends these two pieces out into their own pods

And the Emperor boards her ship. It is quiet, eerie as he walks. It is not a warship. This is their home. This is where they lived, had comforts and hobbies. The walls are lined with pictures and drawings, many areas are made to be comfortable lounging areas, doors are stuck open from the commotion, leading windows into shared rooms of her children.

This was their home. And he must walk through it to get to where Maeddrona is hiding. And when he does she is a mess, curled up on the ground and sobbing uncontrollably. It’s too late for words as she approaches her, but he stops. He cares for her enough to want a near painless death for her- but curled up like this she has made it impossible, so he contemplates how to go about this,

His pause gives her hope, and she uncurls for a moment, bleary eyes looking up at him,

And she says his name. She says his name. She knows his name yes of course she knows his name. Spoken with hushed voice only to him in their moments of privacy and passion.

Now said breathlessly

As his sword is already plunged through her.

As this happens, Limbo, the first Void-touched Maeddrona ever made, enters, trying to save Maeddrona and escape together. And she screams. Rushing to her mother’s side, crying, bawling, and screaming at the Emperor.

He leaves, he does not need to kill her child- then she screams about what Maeddrona was going to tell Him.

About her pregnancy.

And he does stop in his tracks at that, the truth of the second soul’s presence now dawning on him. But he only stops for a moment before continuing back, through the halls of a ruined home, with his mistake and his mistake alone.

He then returns to Terra to find the Primarchs scattered.

And that’s where this story turns, The Emperor basically dies with the Heresy, his soul shattered. Then one small part, one tiny bit, that loved Maeddrona, that never stopped loving Maeddrona, finds her small soul in the warp. As the void is like permanent marker- you can never really get it off once it’s on something. So he finds her, attaches his soul to hers and uses what of his power he can to give her a stable body in the warp.

And that is the Maeddrona I have as my muse :)
