#The Ellen DeGeneres Fund

Everything is connected to everything, here's how
In 1979, the CIA began Operation Cyclone as a response to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, which funded and trained the Mujahideen, who were fighting back against the Soviets. A Saudi Arabian millionaire also helped fund and train the Mujahideen. This man was Osama bin Laden, and he would go on to found Al-Qaeda and perpetrate the 9/11 attacks.
On the morning of September 11, 2001, a man walked into his internship at Cartoon Network when he witnessed the Twin Towers fall. He used music to help deal with the trauma and got to founding a band. The man was Gerard Way and the band was My Chemical Romance.
MCR got popular enough that it grabbed the attention of Mormon housewife Stephanie Meyer, who had a dream about a sparkly vampire, who she named Edward Cullen, thus kicking off the Twilight series.
Meanwhile, E. L. James made a Twilight fanfiction called Master of the Universe, which was adapted into a book trilogy called 50 Shades of Grey, and that eventually got a movie deal starring Dakota Johnson in her breakout role.
Dakota Johnson was confronted on the Ellen Show, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, for not being invited to her 29th birthday party, and Dakota made sure to invite her for her 30th birthday party. However, Ellen never attended the party and instead went to a Dallas Cowboys game with George W. Bush, circling it all back to 9/11. And when Dakota had been invited onto the Ellen Show again, she called Ellen out for not going to her birthday party, and this sparked investigations that revealed the toxic work environment and how Ellen DeGeneres treated her guests and staff. This caused the show to run for a 19th and final season. This is how the CIA is connected to the downfall of Ellen DeGeneres.
There is also the story of how the 2007-08 writer's strike caused Georgia to go blue in 2020, and this may be a wilder ride.
The writer's strike of 2007-08 caused the TV series Supernatural to lose 6 episodes of the back half of its third season, which caused Dean to go to hell due to the show being written into a corner. However, at the beginning of the fourth season, Castiel was introduced, and his profound bond with Dean which saved the latter from perdition caused both a ludicrous amount of unhinged fanfictions and 11 more seasons of Supernatural to be made.
Meanwhile in 2018, Stacey Abrams, a fan of Supernatural, founded the grassroots organization Fair Fight, which helped to end voter suppression in Georgia. This and increased voter turnout was largely credited to Joe Biden securing Georgia in the 2020 election by less than 12,000 votes. However, Stacey Abrams credited this success to being able to calm down after watching Supernatural. And in a beautiful stroke of kismet, Destiel culminated on November 5, 2020, while Georgia was still counting votes.
One more example I want to share is how Star Trek is connected to Obama's election in 2008.
In the 90s, Star Trek: Voyager was not doing too well critically, so the writers introduced a new character played by actress Jeri Ryan, called Seven of Nine. Jeri was married to a prominent politician and Illinois state senator named Jack Ryan, and the juicy details of their eventual divorce in 1999 caused Jack Ryan to lose his chance of getting a US Senate seat in 2004 and get someone else to fill in the Republican candidacy for the Senate election. That someone was former MSNBC host Alan Keyes, who was defeated in a landslide vote by the Democratic candidate Barack Obama. This allowed Obama to get a prominent political position, which ensured his victory in the 2008 presidential election.
Everything is connected to everything.

Redesigning/Reimagining Hazbin's Characters-1 (Charlie)
I tried y'all, I really did, but I didn't have much to work with. Sorry about the cut off, the shoes did not go as planned.
So- How'd I do? Tell me your thoughts!
(I'll go in depth under the cut)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, so, where to begin..
Well, first, I'll start by stating the obvious.
I don't like Charlie's design. If you like it, fair enough, but it's just not working for me.
There's thr usual problem of- you guessed it- Too. Much. Red.
Tumblr media
Red eyes, red background, red details, red clothing, red cheeks, red Bang style, red under sleeves (even though the shirt is supposedly White when you look at the chest area, but then you see around her wrist and it's a dark red for no reason. I'm willing to bet that the animators just forgot which color goes where because the color palette is just red, pink, white, and black. Over and over again.
Next: I get that she's supposed to be bubbly, and happy-go-lucky, all that stuff. But to be honest, I feel like it would be more interesting if she actually wasn't that nice.
I feel like one thing that would be fascinating is the idea that she wants to help people, but she's out of touch. She's one of the most powerful things in Hell after all. She doesn't understand the point of the lower class People. Plus, she's never been out of hell, she doesn't know what Earth is like, or what heaven is like.
I feel like a version of her where she is trying to do good, but is ruthless or harsh in the way she does it, could both be entertaining- and provide character devolopement as she learns how nuanced proper care is.
Also, if she's the second / third most powerful thing in hell, she shouldn't be scared of Alastor. I don't mean that he can't be in the series or anything, I feel like there would still be plenty of uses for him. But with her being a high class royal, and as powerful as she is, she shouldn't need to rely on him for his power or his money for that matter.
I understand the idea that maybe Lucifer Cut Her Off from funding because he basically disowned her or whatever, so maybe funding could be an issue, but even so, she should not be afraid of Alastor.
I like the idea that she intimidated people into going into her hotel so she could "fix" them, not realizing that the fear of her wrath is the only thing keeping people there.
Or maybe the whole hotel thing could be an act of defiance against her father fitting, as "history repeats itself" (referencing Lucifer's defiance of God in biblical lore)
Perhaps she does good things, but isn't all that nice to begin with. But she attempts to be friendly and relatable without understanding how to ACTUALLY relate to or approach others.
How does all of this tie into my design of her?
A few things:
1. Viv said at some point that Charlie was meant to look like a porcelain doll, which... She doesn't look like at all. (I do like her new ponytail. But other than that I don't like the design.)
To me, she just looks like Ellen DeGeneres with long hair and clown makeup.
Tumblr media
Don't believe me? Look:
Tumblr media
So, I made her more doll-like. But it wasn't enough. It was too simple.
Then, it hit me: in a lot of movies with demons or ghosts, oftentimes a doll gets possessed by said demon/ghost.
I'm not even afraid of dolls personally, but I know a lot of people who are
Tumblr media
So What if, Charlie did the same? Maybe her true form is something really scary, so in an attempt to come across as more approachable, she has some sort of doll-like shell? (But, unbeknownst to her, most people are very afraid of dolls. So it does very little to actually help. I think that's some decent comedy potential.
Plus, imagine her having stiff or janky movements, like she doesn't actually fit that well in her body.
It's all appearances
2. The horns.
I actually kind of liked her weird demonic form, at least I liked the horns and the moving hair, but since I decided not to give her a crown, I gave her those weird 4 horns with decorative string tied between them, as a way to make it appear *similar* to a crown. Plus as a reference to the whole 'demonic' thing
I kind of used Sofia from "Harmony and Horror" as a reference. (Btw, great analogue horror series on YouTube, highly recommend it)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. I did make Charlie's hair a bit darker, but just a little. That was in reference to part of Lucifer's lore, which said that when he fell from heaven, not only did his feathery angel wings burn away into bat wings, but his once golden hair burned into a dark red. So I decided that for Charlie, her hair is darker, but since she's trying to do good, it turns lighter.
But yeah, I'm honestly not sure about her outfit, I'm probably going to experiment with that in the future. But overall I'm okay with how this turned out.
It took me a few times, as you can see here:

In a spontaneous moment, Mitchell Anderson became the face of gay Hollywood when he came out at the GLAAD Media Awards in 1996, which was pre Ellen Degeneres's coming out in 1997.
His acting credits include, but are not limited to, "Doogie Howser, M.D.," Party of Five," "The Karen Carpenter Story," "Jaws: The Revenge," and his most recent Amazon Prime series, "After Forever."
In a time when being gay was not accepted, especially in Hollywood, where the stakes were higher, Mitchell rode out his self-discovery in secret. His only public outlet was becoming an activist for HIV. He is proud to say he helped change the political landscape by promoting the politicians who brought education and funding for HIV, which up until then was condemned as the 'gay plague.'
He was given one of the first gay parts in the TV series, "Party of Five." At the 1996 GLAAD Media Awards, he was asked over and over in the press line, "What is it like to play a gay character when you are straight?" At that moment, he had to decide whether to stay in the closet and support bigotry or come out and bring familiarity to the intersectionality of Hollywood and gay.

For years, Ellen DeGeneres was a beloved comedian and talk show host. Her talk show, “The Ellen Show,” was extremely popular. It aired for 19 years and featured various celebrity guests on every show. Ellen had a reputation for being very kind and well liked for many years. She would always end her show with her slogan, “Be kind to one another.” However, this all came crumbling down in 2020, when allegations of a toxic work environment surfaced.
BuzzFeed News published an article in 2020 titled “Former Employees Say Ellen’s “Be Kind” Talk Show Mantra Masks A Toxic Work Culture.” Current and former Ellen Show staff members expressed that they experienced racism, intimidation, and unfair treatment while working at the show. They expressed that the show’s “be kind” motto was all an act.
Tumblr media
This incident completely changed the public’s perception of Ellen. Ellen would preach kindness, but this incident didn’t align with that brand. People began to question the authenticity of Ellen herself, her show, and her brand.
Ellen then made a public apology on her show, in which she said that she was sorry to the people who were affected and that she takes responsibility for what occurs at her show. In regards to her public persona of being “the kind lady”, she said, “The truth is, I am that person that you see on TV," and “I am also a lot of other things. Sometimes I get sad, I get mad, I get anxious, I get frustrated, and I get impatient. And I am working on all of that. I am a work in progress."
Ellen also issued a letter of apology to her staff, which ended up getting leaked to the public. Part of the letter said, “I’m also learning that people who work with me and for me are speaking on my behalf and misrepresenting who I am, and that has to stop.” To the public, this was interpreted as Ellen avoiding responsibility and trying to put the blame on others.
Despite the on-air apology, the public never fully saw Ellen. Many said that they felt her apology wasn’t sincere. It also took Ellen a week to respond to the allegations, which gave the impression that she was hoping that the incident would go away.
Ellen’s audience numbers ended up declining significantly. With her reputation destroyed and her show quickly losing its core audience, the Ellen Show stopped airing after 19 years.
Tumblr media
So, where is Ellen now? A few years have passed, but Ellen’s reputation still hasn’t improved. Now that the show is over, there has been less discussion regarding Ellen. However, when people do talk about Ellen, it’s TikTok videos showing moments where she came across as rude to guests on the show.
Ellen did return to television in September of this year with a documentary on the Discovery Channel called “Saving the Gorillas: Ellen’s Next Adventure.” This documentary special features Ellen’s passion for animals and depicts her working on her “Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in Rwanda”, which opened in 2022. This documentary shows Ellen in a new format that audiences are not accustomed to seeing her in.
I’m not doubting Ellen’s passion for saving animals, but perhaps creating this documentary was an attempt by her team to strengthen her reputation and have people see her as a kind person again.
I haven’t heard much discussion regarding this documentary, so it’s hard to say whether this documentary has boosted Ellen’s reputation a bit. However, at this time, it still seems that the public generally still views Ellen negatively. Perhaps with more PR work in the future, this could change.

12 Celebrities Who Actually Faced Lasting Consequences For Their Bad Behavior, And 12 Who Got Backlash They Either Didn't Deserve Or Grew From
BuzzFeed Staff
Backlash against a celebrity who gets called out for bad behavior doesn't always have a lasting impact on their career, but sometimes, they actually face lasting consequences. On the other hand, however, some celebs are treated horribly by the public and the media, only for those same people to later realize the backlash was unfair.
Here are 12 celebrities who rightfully had their careers ended for bad and criminal behavior:
Warning: mentions of sexual assault.
1. Following multiple allegations of sexual assault and the leaking of several alleged DMs where he said he was "100% a cannibal," Armie Hammer was dropped by his publicist, dropped by his agent, and dropped out of multiple projects. As of 2022, he was reportedly working as a timeshare salesperson in the Cayman Islands.
Discovery+ made a documentary about Hammer and his family called House of Hammer.
2. Throughout his YouTube career, Shane Dawson has apologized for jokes he made about animal abuse, pedophilia, and race. However, after he released an apology video for several resurfaced videos in 2020, YouTube demonetized all three of his channels.
3. After Roseanne Barr posted a racist tweet about former presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett, ABC canceled the successful Roseanne reboot, killed off her character, then retooled the show into a spin-off so the rest of the cast and crew could keep their jobs.
4. Director David O. Russell has a history of alleged verbally and physically abusive behavior toward actors on set and admitted to sexually harassing his own niece. The star-studded cast of Amsterdam — his first film in several years — drew online backlash for their involvement, and the movie absolutely tanked at the box office, losing nearly $100 million.
5. In response to the many allegations of sexual abuse women have made against R. Kelly, Time's Up called for a boycott of his music in 2018. Soon after, Spotify, Apple Music, and Pandora all stopped promoting his music, and his record label reportedly dropped him within a year. In 2022, he was convicted of federal sex crimes and sentenced to 30 years in prison.
6. Following many allegations of sexual assault, Bill Cosby was stripped of his honorary Navy title, had an endowed professorship he funded at Spelman College suspended, and resigned from the Temple University Board of Trustees.
Though his criminal conviction was overturned due to an agreement he made with a previous prosecutor to prevent them from filing charges, he was found guilty and sued in his first civil trial.
7. After Chris Noth was accused of sexual assault, his Peloton ad was taken down, his cameo was cut from the And Just Like That... finale, and he was fired from The Equalizer.
8. After Jussie Smollett was accused of staging a hate crime against himself, he was written off of Empire. He was later found guilty and sentenced to five months in jail, but he was released pending his appeal.
9. Following reports that her "be kind" mantra was a facade to cover a toxic workplace (including allegations of sexual assault and harassment made against executive producers), Ellen DeGeneres's talk show ratings declined. Within a year, she announced her decision to end the show.
10. In 2017, Kevin Spacey was accused of sexually assaulting actor Anthony Rapp when he was 14. More allegations followed, and Netflix suspended production on House of Cards , then later filmed the final season without Spacey.
Rapp lost his civil suit against Spacey, but Spacey is still set to be tried in London on five other counts.
11. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and several of his teammates alleged they were robbed at gunpoint during the 2016 Rio Olympics. However, after Brazilian police proved their story to be false, Lochte received a 10-month suspension from national and international swimming competitions, which included a withholding of his monthly stipend from USA Swimming. He was also dropped by all four of his sponsors.
12. And finally, cyclist Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France every year from 1999 to 2005, but in 2012, he was stripped of all seven titles and banned for life after the US Anti-Doping Agency found evidence that he'd used performance-enhancing drugs.
And now, here are 12 celebrities who faced backlash they either didn't deserve or actually changed from:
13. In 2018, Brendan Fraser faced backlash (and believes he was blacklisted) within the entertainment industry after alleging that Philip Berk, the former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, sexually assaulted him in 2003. However, his fans stayed by his side, getting his name trending on Twitter in 2021 simply by praising him for being wonderful. At the 2022 Venice Film Festival, he received a standing ovation for The Whale , which brought him to tears.
14. In 2017, Terry Crews alleged that he'd been sexually assaulted by Hollywood agent Adam Venit a year prior. He was mocked by rapper 50 Cent. A producer from The Expendables franchise pressured him to drop the allegations, but he refused and dropped out of the films instead. TIME named Crews one of its Silence Breakers, the group that became the 2017 Person of the Year.
15. In 1983, Vanessa Williams became the first Black woman to be crowned Miss America, but she was forced to resign after Penthouse magazine published nude photos of her without her permission. However, she pivoted to music and acting, earning multiple nominations from prestigious awards shows, including the Grammys, the Emmys, and the Tonys. In 2015, the Miss America organization officially apologized to her.
16. In 2003, The Chicks faced intense backlash after addressing the Iraq War onstage. Natalie Maines told a London audience, "Just so you know, we're ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas." The band was banned from many country music radio stations, and the members received death threats. In response, they posed nude for an Entertainment Weekly cover with the cruel messages people had sent them written on their skin. They continued to stand their ground, helping open the door for other women in music to speak up about what they believe in.
17. In 2016, Taylor Swift faced intense backlash after Kim Kardashian leaked an edited version of a recorded phone call as "proof" that the singer had given Kanye West permission to use an offensive lyric about her, which she denied. Taylor took a break from public life before returning with her album Reputation , then, the full version of the call leaked in 2020, revealing she'd been telling the truth all along.
Taylor used the attention from the leak to direct her followers toward "what really matters," encouraging them to donate to the World Health Organization and Feeding America.
18. In 2008, then-15-year-old Miley Cyrus faced backlash from the public and Disney for posing backless for Vanity Fair. At the time, she released an apology statement, but 10 years later, she took it back, tweeting, "I'M NOT SORRY. Fuck YOU."
19. After Justin Timberlake ripped fabric from Janet Jackson's outfit and exposed her breast during their 2004 Super Bowl performance, his career remained virtually unscathed while hers suffered greatly due to the scandal. She was banned from the Grammys, MTV stopped promoting her music, and she was forced to apologize publicly. However, the situation was widely reexamined following the release of a New York Times documentary in 2021 and Jackson's own documentary in 2022.
Her fans rallied around her in support.
20. After Laura Dern played a lesbian character who helped Ellen come out on Ellen , she wasn't able to get any work for a year. She also had to have a full security detail for the first time in her life. However, the following year, she made her return with a Golden Globe-nominated performance in The Baby Dance.
21. In 2009, Megan Fox was fired from the Transformers franchise after a Wonderland interview in which she called director Michael Bay "a nightmare to work for." She was also heavily criticized for speaking out against him. Discussing the way her career was reexamined by the public in 2020, she told Refinery29, "Of course, I look back and think — it would have been nice if any of you had seen this at that time that there was a bandwagon of absolute toxicity being spewed at me for years. But, I appreciate the reversal of it."
22. In 2008, Britney Spears faced intense media scrutiny while she was experiencing a mental health crisis in the public eye. She was placed under a conservatorship with her father as guardian until 2021, when the court granted her freedom to make her own decisions about work, money, and communication. Fans who were part of the #FreeBritney movement celebrated with her.
23. In 2001, Winona Ryder was caught shoplifting from the Beverly Hills Saks Fifth Avenue. In the aftermath, she lost out on a role because the director couldn't get insurance on her for the film. She took a hiatus from acting before returning to independent films in 2006.
In 2007, she revealed that, at the time of her arrest, she'd been in a bad place and had been taking painkillers that left her in a state of "confusion."
24. And finally, following a series of arrests on drug-related charges in the late '90s and early '00s, Robert Downey Jr. lost several roles. After he completed rehab, some studios were still hesitant to cast him, including Marvel Studios — but director Jon Favreau fought to cast him in Iron Man. After Downey's screen test, the studio relented, and the movie launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In 2015, the California governor granted him a full pardon. On the governor's website, it said, "He has lived an honest and upright life, exhibited good moral character, and conducted himself as a law-abiding citizen."

There’s No Business Like Show Business for Emerging Brands
Product placement in movies and TV can drive blockbuster sales for brands. Here’s how to get your products in the spotlight!
In the fast-paced and competitive landscape of today’s market, emerging brands are constantly seeking ways to gain exposure and propel their growth. One effective avenue for achieving this is through strategic partnerships and product placements in movies and TV shows. By strategically positioning your brand in the film industry, you can create remarkable awareness without breaking the bank.
This article explores the strategies and opportunities available for emerging brands to collaborate with the film industry, maximizing their brand exposure and paving the way for remarkable success.
Finding the right film or TV project for your product
To determine which projects align with your brand’s objectives, it’s crucial to start by defining your brand’s goals, understanding its story, and establishing its positioning. By doing so, you can identify the types of movies that resonate with your brand and target audience. Analyze your product sales and explore how movie partnerships could boost your brand’s performance. By taking a creative and strategic approach, you can find the perfect movie project for your brand.
Lainie Strouse, President of Lower Merion Productions who has developed, produced and sold Teacher Of The Year, is Executive Producer of “E.A.T. with Gavin Rossdale and the feature film, “Abby’s Party.” Lainie has secured funding for projects such as the Whitney Houston biopic “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” the best-selling thriller “Ultimatum,” and “Spinning Gold,” and produced large-scale live events including the inaugural live concert event for Ellen DeGeneres’s “Ellen Fund” with Bruno Mars and Chris Martin, raising $5 million dollars (with a $2 million dollar goal), and Hilarity for Charity for Seth Rogen, among others.   According to Strouse, there are a lot of ways to figure out what movie projects you should be investigating. It starts with asking yourself the following questions:
What are your goals for the brand?
What is your brand story?
What is the positioning of your brand?  What kind of movie does it make sense to be in?
What is your strategy? What are you trying to do to get your brand to the next level?
What are your demographics, who is your audience and what kind of movie would influence them?
How are you selling your product and what might help sales?
What kind of visibility are you seeking? Do you want your product to be in the movie, supporting the movie or part of the promotion of the movie?  What kind of engagement are you seeking?
You have to be creative when strategizing what opportunities you want.
Make it mutually beneficial
Securing a place for your brand in a movie requires considering what you can offer to the film project. Think about whether your brand has access to celebrities, supports a cause, or possesses a highly publicized message that can help generate buzz for a film. Assess if you can provide products or collaborate with makeup artists to contribute to the movie’s production.
Investing in the project financially is also an option worth considering. Remember, movie producers are constantly seeking everything from products to funding to support their projects. Success stories abound, such as Julia Roberts sporting a Wallaroo unisex fedora hat called “The Outback” in her latest movie, “Ticket to Paradise,” which not only highlighted the importance of sun protection but also exemplified the effectiveness of product placement.
Opportunities for emerging brands
Recent television shows have provided exposure to a range of brands, from the trendiest compost bin, Bamboozle, featured on Netflix’s “BEEF,” to Dark Matter Coffee on Hulu’s “The Bear,” KIND snack bars on Comedy Central’s “Nora is Awkwafina from Queens,” and Eggos in Netflix’s popular series “Stranger Things.” These examples demonstrate that brands of all sizes can achieve significant exposure by effectively showcasing their offerings and being in the right place at the right time when it comes to TV and films. Movie producers actively seek partnerships with manufacturers, presenting opportunities for emerging brands to create their own chances and attract attention.
Attending prestigious film festivals like Sundance, engaging with industry trade publications, exploring IMDb, connecting with makeup and hairstylist guilds, reaching out to independent film production companies, and considering product placement companies are all viable avenues for emerging brands to explore.
Nurturing collaborative relationships
Award-winning independent Producer Kia Kiso, President of Zaza Productions, emphasizes the importance of mutually beneficial deals between brands and filmmakers. While product placement companies can facilitate these connections, it’s important to consider the associated commissions and fees, which can complicate the relationship. Kiso advises brands to clearly display contact information on their websites for potential opportunities.
Producers often lack the time or resources to conduct extensive research or make cold calls to marketing departments. Therefore, when brands with aligned values and objectives approach them, it presents an ideal scenario. Being creative, flexible, and judicious in structuring the partnership ensures that both parties’ goals are met while preserving the creative vision of the project.
How to make your product a star
For emerging brands seeking alignment with movies, several strategies can be employed. Making your products visible in the film, providing assistance with makeup on the set, featuring in gift bags, and offering touch-up services at parties are all effective ways to showcase your brand. Drawing from her experience producing documentaries, Kiso highlights the success achieved by brands that understood the essence of the project, shared the same target audience, and devised creative ways to collaborate. Social media campaigns and unique offerings, such as providing crowdfunding event spaces and products for community giveaways, can associate your brand with the film’s popularity and success.
Embarking on the journey of featuring your brand in movies can yield incredible results and ignite a wave of magic and success. By aligning your brand’s goals, story, and positioning with appropriate projects and leveraging strategies such as product placement, you can unlock new avenues for growth and engagement.
Cultivating meaningful relationships with filmmakers and exploring various channels, such as film festivals, trade publications, and independent production companies, can help you seize remarkable opportunities. Ultimately, the synergy between brands and movies is a win-win situation, empowering both parties to reach unprecedented heights.
Remember, the world of movies presents a vast playground for emerging brands to maximize their brand exposure and make a lasting impact. With strategic planning, innovative thinking, and collaborative partnerships, your brand can shine on the big screen and captivate audiences worldwide.

Hey journalists, we know you lurk on this sub looking for story ideas. Now that the Harkles' "grifting" at Spotify has been made public, it's time for you to investigate their other shady activities that SMM has been reporting on/discussing for ages. Here are some easy topics to start with... 1) Meghan's earnings from the Disney Elephant documentary that SHE was supposed to donate to the US charity Elephants Without Borders; SMM figured out that Megs reneged and pocketed the $'s and Disney had to pay more $'s to make good on her commitment to the elephant charity. The press picked this up after SMM broke the story...BUT we need journalists to do the follow-up with the players involved, so PLEASE call Disney, the charity and Meg's team to ask questions. (Reddit is not allowing me to copy links to posts here, so please search this sub for "elephants" to find the deep dive into this; it's entitled "What's the status of the contribution to the non-profit Elephants Without Borders related to Meg's voiceover of the Disney documentary "Elephant"? Here's what I've found...")2) What happened to Prince Harry's earnings from his deal with Oprah and apple for The Me You Cannot See? He had originally committed to donate those funds to mental health charities (never specified the charity/charities). Did he follow through on this or did they pocket the $'s. Note that the series was originally announced in April 2019, when the Harkles were still working members of the BRF.3) What really happened to the dogs Bogart and Guy? 1) Why was Bogart was abandoned? The excuse that he was "too old" to move to London is not true. Who did Megs leave him with? Was she supposed to surrender him to the organization that she adopted him from? Did Ellen DeGeneres really run into Megs at the dog charity and tell her she needed to adopt a dog (so far fetched!)? (Reddit is not allowing me to copy links to posts here, so please search this sub for "Bogart" to find the post; it's entitled "DEBUNKING THE LIE that Meg's dog Bogart was "too old" to move to London. ") 2) What really happened to Guy's front legs? Was abuse involved? (Search this sub using "guy legs").4) The relationship between C. B@u7y, his company and the Harkles. He admitted on twitter that he was hired by her (and Amber Heard and P. Buttegieg) and then quickly deleted the tweets. He allegedly helped her silence the voices of dissent online and went as far as helping her destroy the livelihoods and lives of certain individuals who criticized her/questioned the veracity of her statements online.5) The role that between Meg's and her PR team and minions in fomenting dissent in certain Commonwealth countries during Prince William and Catherine's tour of various Caribbean nations as part of last year's Jubilee. This is incredibly serious and was not investigated by the press. Someone (hmm...I wonder who?) created the spin on certain photographs in an attempt to make the royal couple and BRF look bad and to instigate unrest in Commonwealth countries.6) The role that Megs and/or her team has played in creating and disseminating the untrue rumors about Prince William and his neighbor. These rumors have conveniently resurfaced when there has been a need to deflect from negative stories about the Harkles in the press. Coincidence? Nope.7) Why is there mystery around the pregnancies? Here's calling on you American/Canadian/Australian/NZ journalists...is there a super injunction in place that is preventing the British press from writing about this topic? If "there is no there, there" related to Meg's pregnancies, this in itself is newsworthy and would finally put speculation to rest. This is just a start...there are so many aspects of this couple that merit investigation. post link: https://ift.tt/UNvZyFg author: BuildtheHerd submitted: June 20, 2023 at 04:01PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

A new invention is bringing convenience to people's lives in a unique way. The Quaint is a small, battery-powered device that attaches to the corner of any door, allowing it to be opened without any physical contact.
The Quaint has already garnered attention from major media outlets and has been featured on popular shows like The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Its creators are currently in the process of raising funds to mass-produce the device.
The Quaint is the perfect solution for anyone who is looking for a way to avoid contact with door handles and other surfaces. It is also great for people with disabilities or limited mobility, as it allows them to open doors without any assistance.

The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Fossey Gorilla Fund This multi-building 12-acre campus anchors the Kinigi region as a ‘conservation hub for ecological preservation and education in Africa.’ Local materials and labour - the project employed 2,400 Rwandans - were used throughout the design and construction of the project to reduce the ecological footprint of the campus. Over 250,000 native plants were constructed as part of an extensive ‘living laboratory’. The use of green roofs, rainwater harvesting, and constructed wetlands were implemented into the design. Profiles of Pride: June 13th! 🏳️‍🌈The Trevor Project🏳️‍🌈
The Trevor Project is an American non-profit organization founded in 1998 focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. Through a toll-free telephone number, it operates The Trevor Lifeline, a confidential service that offers trained counselors. The stated goals of the project are to provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13–24, as well as to offer guidance and resources to parents and educators in order to foster safe, accepting, and inclusive environments for all youth, at home and at school.
The project was founded in 1998 in West Hollywood, California, by James Lecesne, Peggy Rajski, and Randy Stone. They are the creators of the 1994 Academy Award–winning short film Trevor, a dramedy about Trevor, a gay thirteen-year-old boy who, when rejected by friends because of his sexuality, makes an attempt to take his life. When the film was scheduled to air on HBO television in 1998, the filmmakers realized that some of the program’s young viewers might be facing the same kind of crisis as Trevor, and began to search for a support line to be broadcast during the airing. They discovered that no such helpline existed, and decided to dedicate themselves to forming what was, in their view, a much-needed resource: an organization to promote acceptance of LGBTQ youth, and to aid in crisis and suicide prevention among that group.
The Trevor Lifeline was established with seed funds provided by The Colin Higgins Foundation and HBO’s license fee. As a result, it became the first nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for LGBTQ youth. The project also provides online support to young people through the project’s website, as well as guidance and resources to educators and parents.
The Trevor Project has been supported by various celebrities, including Ellen DeGeneres, Troye Sivan, Kathy Griffin, Shay Mitchell, Daniel Radcliffe, Neil Patrick Harris, James Marsden, Chris Colfer, Kim Kardashian, Darren Criss, Dianna Agron, George Takei, Anderson Cooper, John Oliver, and Tyler Oakley.
