So. Sometime back and recently again, I was thinking of Ryan Kinkade of VLD and Vince of VF. And some thoughts of them, in some sort of AU, being brothers. Like, it feels perfect, right, and adorable. They feel like their eyes are similar enough colours and they have similar jawlines.  In the end, I decided to draw them being bros, Vince in a better appearance for a Garrison uniform.  I feel like Kinkade (I’m used to calling him by his last name; I feel like in such AU, he does that because there are probably like seven other Ryans at a minimum in the part of the Garrison he trained at) is a supportive and caring older brother to Vince. He probably is likely to have a bunch of childhood photos and milestone videos of him that he took, wanting to keep the memories and show Vince when he was older.  Anyway, continuing on. I thought it’d be fun to depict Vince getting approved to join the Garrison, proud to be like his older brother.  Good for you, boys. I’m proud of you.

First school day back is over! Although the day was pretty uneventful, it was fun visiting around the classes again. Also quite enjoyable to see the looks on the MFE’s faces when I finally gave them their gifts from NYC. I would have posted about them here, but I didn’t want to spoil the surprise in case they found any of my posts.

I got Ina a few minifig keychains from the LEGO store; of course, they were Batman and Superman, but I too cannot resist the pull of SuperBat, so I caved.

Nadia was kind of difficult to shop for, until I remembered she’s a sticker and magnet hog, and I collected TONS of both at pretty much every gift shop I came across. I should have filmed her reaction LOL

Ryan’s gift was the first one I bought. In the NBC gift shop, there’s a section of merch just from “The Office.” So, I got him the “WORLD’S BEST BOSS” mug. He’s no one’s boss, and I told him to leave it in the break room. He laughed.

James was. Expensive. I’m just gonna show you what I got for him.

He named it Hank Oliver. Keith’s jealous.

Otherwise, today was normal. I mean, I did talk an entire classes’ ears off about the NY trip, but they seemed pretty engaged in what I had to say (especially when Keith accompanied Lance to the ER; story for another time), so I don’t think they minded much.

Speaking of those two, Lance actually left with Keith. I don’t blame him. I think he misses space. If anyone could brave it and have a good time doing so, it’s them. They promised to call me at least once a month.

which mfe do u think acxa would get along well with most and which one least? i want to say ryan and nadia respectively but idk maybe she doesnt like james more (not necessarily related to keith but idrk for sure ) and idk abt ina since she is very straightforward but maybe too straightforward for acxa 🤔 what r your thoughts? also happy weekend regardless of whether or not u celebrate 😁😁😁

Nadia you'd think would be the one Acxa would get along with least, but she is not. You see, Acxa has worked with Ezor and Zethrid's clownery for so long, she can tolerate/deal with Nadia. As long as Nadia brings in results for their work, and otherwise doesn't force her to do things she doesn't want, they're cool.

James would remind her too much of her pre-redemption arc self so I think she'd dislike him on principle. This is something she doesn't clarify, which confuses James, as he think he's got a good rapport with her (hasn't say anything that could be an insult against her and her heritage). As he gets character development with time she does start to warm to him slightly.

Ina would have a bit of a rocky start cause of the unintentional insults from the Grudge. I don't see Ina getting better with that fast, but I do see Acxa eventually getting used to unintentional insults, and dealing with other people who are more insulting/mean-spirited with her eventually cools whatever beef she has with Ina.

Ryan is definitely the one she gets along with the best. Both quiet, professional, and get things done. She would quietly enjoy his company and appreciate that he doesn't have to cajoled into doing his job well on a mission (something she still needs to do somewhat with Zethzor if they feel this mission particularly worthless).

kidge lunch date !

hey hey kidge shippers ! today , I’ve been wanting to talk to you about the lunch date that we can see in the Atlas ever since it is an amazing scene !! (for the people who need a reminder , it’s episode 7 season 8 :p )

let’s first start with a desciption of the scene :

OK , so we have Pidge and Keith sat in a table in the Atlas . we can see that they were going to eat together and enjoy each other’s company until the interuption by Razavi and Kinkade...

somehow , keith seem annoyed by their presence wich is understandable and frustreted . pidge seem kinda lost ( ngl ) and sort of surprised ?? IDK ! but she deosn’t seem has anoyed as keef... this is my fafourite part of this ship , how keith is always on the defensive while pidge takes a little longer to snap .. she is in general pretty soft in my opinion . love that ! omg I’ll make another post about the kidge dinamic !

when Razavi ask pidge a question , Pidge answere very nicely she is adorable fr.  when the camera turns to Keith (when pidge is done talking ) , he was still looking at her untile Razavi called him and asked him a question . 

he looked like he was trying to ask her to leave or something idk.. he just seem so annoyed all along gosh.

then Razavi ask him a question :

can’t find the moment where he frown to the camera ... WICH IS ALL ALONG BIHRTBRGBOHQBOVBUTHO

anyways , still looking annoyed here , he seem to answere as quick as possible .

then Hunk arrive and the three ( Razavi , Kinkade and Hunk) are starting to talk about cooking .

finaly keith asks if the interview is over :

the fact is : keith invited Pidge eat with him ; I think he did because of how he reacts all along . ( you can see it platonicaly or other ways , that’s up to you <3 )

he just wanted to have a nice time with the amazing green paladin that he ABSOLUTELY ADORES ( Bex’s words )

just think this is adorable to see them have some time together and that shows us that behind scenes , they do have canon bonding moments ! ( again , see it platonicaly if you want to , still up to you ! ) 

Kidge deserved more screen time and bonding moments on screen . vld missed something and I feel like they realized it in the season 8 ever since on that season , we have a lot of kidge and basicaly they are just standing next to each other 24/7. 

the realisators must have noticed that they had missed something big.

yk what’s something that barely also talked about the animation/drawing of voltron? is that the brown/darkskin characters like lance, hunk, kinkade, etc. palms are colored all completely the same color KNOWING that the palms of brown and dark skin ppl is lighter than the rest of their body 🫣

YEAHHH it is so clear. that the vld animators didnt know shit about darker skin tones. like they will draw characters in lighting w their skin a shade that brown/dark skin would Not become when in that lighting. they will whitewash at random times just because they can. it's absurd how little they cared about the skin color of their non-white characters :woof:
