(Tim ends up pulling a muscle and being bedridden the next day but he doesn’t tell anyone cuz it was worth it to see Damian smile)

Lost Boys AU (but not really it's just baby halfa Jason again)

Jason is...not doing so hot. His sleeping pattern is shot to shit. His pulse is abnormally low, even when he's working out, and it's messing up his bio-readings in his helmet.

It comes to a head when he gets shot in the thigh within view of Bruce, and is "gently" coerced into staying at the manor.

Things go from bad to worse, and it's awful but Damian is the only other one of Bruce's kids in the house with him, so the kid gets to see the creepy shit.

Bruce is out of the manor for most of the time, something about a case on top of Brucie appearances to settle down some sort of PR horrorshow.

Jason can't stomach Alfred's cooking. Titus and Alfred the Cat avoid him, going so far as to place themselves between him and Damian. He's getting paler. His heartbeat is getting even slower. He's going from "rough sleeping schedule" to "full on narcolepsy but only during the day". The fucking sunlight gives him a rash. He's lost his top and bottom canines and grown fucking fangs. His ears are slowly getting pointed.

Damian calls him out on it.

Damian shouts that he won't let a Vampire infiltrate the manor and hurt his family.

Jason barely manages to talk the brat down.

Then he goes to his room to crash.

He wakes up on the ceiling, unable to stop floating.

Or; Jason's slowly turning full halfa, a variant not cool with direct sunlight, as his core is Shadow. Ghost puberty is making him lose his appetite amongst other things, and this leads to misunderstandings. Mainly, that Damian thinks he's a vampire. And because Jason has no idea what the fuck a halfa is, he's inclined to agree.

I remember way back around October, I was in irl Mrs. Barah's English class, opening up the word document which held a rant I had typed the night before. This was the rant:

Jason blinked. “Who’s Tim Drake?” Jackie shook her head, eyes wide. “He’s only the legend and leader of the school. You know, a lot of people compare him to the likes of a mafia boss?” “Like, here’s a freshman who is an actual 12-year-old. Easy bait, right?” a student piped up. “Wrong. The so-called “12-year-old” is not only academically smart, but also politically smart.” Another student nodded, saying, “It had been barely three months and he already had blackmail on half the bullies in the school. He made deals and truces with the other half of the bullies. The minor ones cower before him, because in a span of three months, he’s managed to become all chummy-chummy with the big guys, when they’ve been trying for three years.” “No one has met a single person in the history of the school who is friends with the bullies, the students, and the teachers,” Jackie added. “Plus, he’s offering homework help and occasionally accepting candy as payment? Well, sign me up. Actually, I did sign up. I’m almost getting all grades above B on my final report card.” Alexander added ominously, “Majority of the girls think he’s adorable. The majority of the boys think he’s cool. The mean girls bend to his every will. The jocks give him hi-fives and fist bumps in the corridors and stick up for him in P.E. Not that he needs much, he’s so smart that he used freaking science to defeat everyone in dodgeball. Something about velocity reducing when standing at the very back? I don’t know, man.” One of the other students said, “The nerds ask him for tips on how to play chess and dungeons and dragons. The older theater kids ask him out for group milkshake parties. The prom queen and king asked him to be a chaperone on their first date. The teachers think he's a charm.“ “And all the janitors keep him up to date on new facilities and latest gossip,” a janitor walking by said. “We even made a copy of every key at the school for him, don’t tell the staff though.” Jackie turned back to Jason, “The kid is a legend. A real legend known under the name of Timothy Jackson Drake."

Obviously it's edited to be more comprehensible and integrated in the fic, but that was the gist of it. And from that rant, I wrote two series (and some fics in the Mafia Files and Packages that other cool writers co-wrote).

Two series that has been going on for a full year now.

But today, they both end. The whole AU ends. And it does so, with this fic:

When the Truth Unveiled event drops, I am expecting a dramatic reveal that Li Xiao is Li Ling's older brother.

I want no less than a heartbreaking flashback, from Li Xiao's POV as he watches his baby bro grow more and more wild and takes on being an officer (police? Military? Somefin else??) and climbing the ranks in a twisted, pseudo-selfish way to protect Li Ling from continuing on a path being on the front lines.

Something along the lines of "if I can remove the threats or the severity of the threats altogether, Li Ling won't need to be in danger" or "You might've become an esper and protected our family, but as our youngest- you shouldn't have had too take on that responsibility"

You know, what I think dislyte is trying to do with all these "older sibling union members/younger sibling decree members" dynamics, except you know, not clearly as black/white. Also, Li Xiao is explictly NOT shadow decree.

Continuing my 'let Dick and Jason be brothers' bullshit—

What if after Bruce slit Jason's throat with the batarang and left with the Joker, Dick found Jason and brought him home after stabilizing him. Jason is really angry and volatile at first but as Dick nurses him back to health he starts to relax and bond with Dick. They still have their ups and downs (they definitely hash out their previous grievances with each other), but Jason finds out that Dick killed the Joker for him and Dick disowns Bruce for nearly killing Jason.

Eventually Bludhaven gains a new anti-hero and maybe everything isn't great but they're together and they're getting along and they're brothers. They know the other has their back no matter what.

Headcanon that Damian can make absolute Masterpiece works of art in terms of cake art. Tim...Tim fucking cannot. But Tim is the better baker.

It drives Damian up a fucking wall.

Damian makes a cute little cake that looks like a hedgehog?

Tim makes an...eldritch monstrosity with spikes and jagged approximations of fangs.

But Tim's always tastes better.

Damian cannot for the life of him figure out how the fuck he's doing it! He follows the recipe, he does everything right!

Tim, meanwhile, isn't too keen on all that icing art shit; but he understands chemistry well enough to know how to make a kickass cake with a few alterations from the original recipe.

Damian...Damian doesn't necessarily need to know that he's altering the recipes they use.

It's funny watching him get pissed off.

So. Sometime back and recently again, I was thinking of Ryan Kinkade of VLD and Vince of VF. And some thoughts of them, in some sort of AU, being brothers. Like, it feels perfect, right, and adorable. They feel like their eyes are similar enough colours and they have similar jawlines.  In the end, I decided to draw them being bros, Vince in a better appearance for a Garrison uniform.  I feel like Kinkade (I’m used to calling him by his last name; I feel like in such AU, he does that because there are probably like seven other Ryans at a minimum in the part of the Garrison he trained at) is a supportive and caring older brother to Vince. He probably is likely to have a bunch of childhood photos and milestone videos of him that he took, wanting to keep the memories and show Vince when he was older.  Anyway, continuing on. I thought it’d be fun to depict Vince getting approved to join the Garrison, proud to be like his older brother.  Good for you, boys. I’m proud of you.

I've just written almost five pages of what is probably a cathartic release for me. It's rough, and a little rambly, and it's not for the published story I'm working on so I don't know if anyone else is ever going to see it.

But writing it has almost made me cry. And I think that is worth it in itself. I can decide what to do with it later.

Among some emotions I didn't know that I was feeling and the way that came out through Regulus, I also realized that I really am a sucker for the Black brothers being good brothers.

They love each other! Let them love each other!
