Qualifying Saturday July 29 2023 — Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium

"Y/N Kraus will be qualifying here in Spa after her near fatal accident in Hungaroring against all medical advice." Now that the world had discovered who Seventeen really was, the media were on your tail with the sky sports camera following you around.

Sitting in the car, you kept your headphones on listening to phonk while reading through dork diaries: tales from a not so happily ever after. A weird combo, yes. You ignored the cameras trained on you as you nodded your head to the beat, petting the the Australian Shepard sleeping on the halo of your car. Max who had nothing else to do, came up from behind you, looking at what you were reading confused.

He leaned down, looking confused at the bunch of drawings, also petting the dog because puppy. duh. "Are you sure you can race?" He asked after a movement, no answer. "Senta—" You screamed, jumping scared when you felt someone touch your shoulder. Max broke out in a laugh as you covered your face embarrassed.

"Don't scare me like that." You punched his side lightly making him laugh as leaned over the halo to look at you with a gaze you couldn't quite explain. "I wanted to check up on you. Are you sure you're going to be . . . Okay? It's still fresh."

"Hey. Are you trying to take me out so you can secure your win?" You joked, pulling the now asleep pup in your lap. "No no. Not at all." He leaned down, ducking under the halo to pet the confused dog.

Turning to face you he's taken aback from how close you two found yourself. "I just. I don't want you to get hurt." He said quietly, his eyes finding your lips. "I—" You stuttered as you found yourself gravitating towards him, the word disappearing as you could feel his breath on you lips. "Max—" A bright colour of red caught your eyes.

looking in your sideview mirrors you saw Charles jingling his car keys trying to get Leila's attention, which was successful. "Oi!" "Charles!" You and Max shouted at the same time. The ferarri driver was quick to pick up the tween and escape with her.

Much to your dismay, your seatbelt held you back and Max hit his head on the halo. which made you two a laughing stock in the garage. You couldn't help but crack a laugh yourself as you pulled Max closer to check on his head. "It's not bleeding, is it?" "No." You hummed running a finger over the bruised spot, making him wince and whimper. "ow ow. Careful." He whispered softly, gently smacking your hand away.

You could only smile softly as you watched him rub his head. 'cute' you thought.

"Ow! Hey!" Max recoiled once you placed the random pack of peas you found in the freezer on his bruising head. "Hold still." You scolded pulling him along from his bicep, walking the the paddock in search of your cousin.

"If I were a bunch of rich kids who drive fast cars in circles for a living and like sleeping with models, where would I hide?" You hummed quietly as you ignored the stares from third parties, processing the face of the no longer masked and mysterious driver.

"Ok, that is inaccurate." Max scoffed crossing his arms. "Kelly Piquet?" He shut up looking aay. "It was just a one time thing . . . Me and her— there's nothing between us." "Really? You don't like her?" You teased nudging him. "No. In fact, the girl I like is not a model."

"I bet she's pretty enough to be one." Max could only look at you. He does see you on the cover of Victoria's secret and vouge. He couldn't tell you that though. You found Leila an hour later in the Mercedes motorhome, hanging out with Lewis, Mick and killian, who was braiding her hair. "Look look." "I can see." You huffed watching Leila laugh and have fun with your older brother.

"I'll go in. You stay here." "Wait what? Why do I get to wait outside?" You folded your arms frowning. "Because Lei loves me more, and you're intimidating."

"Am not." "You very much are." He concluded starting his journy, going up the stairs. You could only watch in disbelief throwing your hands in denial. 'People aren't scared of me . . . like that one time— or when i talked to— uh— . . . people are intimidated by me. fuck.'

RACE DAY Saturday July 30 2023 — Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium

"Mashi, zai ma2oltelek." [ok, just like i told you] You pat her head, sending Leila off once she got through the paddock entrance. Leila scurried off with the cookie filled paper back.

"Lets hope this works." You mumbled picking up your puppy as you watched Leila scurry off. Leila was giving out the cookies to whomever looked at her, from random audience to circuit crew and team members. Including all of the drivers of course ( who almost all took vids and photos to post ), and a few team principles including Gunther, Toto, and Christian.

You saw Leila again sitting in Max's lap in his garage on the halo of race winning car. "Sebtili 7aba?" [did you leave some for me?] You asked sitting beside them. "La2a." [nope] she gave you the empty bag making you pout. "Max give me a bite." "No way." He pulled the cookie out of your reach.

"It's mine!" "I made them!" You two argued only for Max to lose balance and fall in the cockpit upside down. You tried to hold in your laugh as Leila laughed her ass off. "Any damage, Max?" "Confidence." He repled as you helped him out.

"Hey," he pulled you closer once you calmed down. "Next time, I want to help too." He whispered in your ear making you blush. You give him a small nod to seal the deal.

Lap 12 :: "We are going to pit for softs." You said through the radio maintaining the lead in front of Leclerc. "Copy that." "Ps, do me a favour, someone get me a needle and thread. I can feel my stitches ripping."

"Do you want to retire?" "H**l no." "Copy"

"Her stitches are ripping?" "That's not a good sign. Losing positions in this pitstops is going to cost her a few more rips and Y/N might be forced to retire." "Worse she could even be disqualafied by the FiA for partcipating with such a fresh wound."

Pulling in the pit, you slowed down, starting to undo the zipper of the race suit and pulling up the fabric underneath. Once in your pit, the crew was quick to change the tiers while you were quickly and messily tying up the wound.

"That must hurt." "Oh definitely."

Lap 27 :: "And Y/N pushes Killian wide AND VERSTAPPEN GOES THROUGH! Great teamwork from the drivers." You were helping Max work through the grid after hearing from Jj "I have no f**king DRS". Forget DRS, you were going to get him through the grid. Legally pressuring and intimidating drivers to one side so Max could overtake.

Lap 37 :: "Seventeen, let Max through please. Let Max through and hold defence over Meike." The only way to secure a 1 - 2 for Redbull.

But not a win for you.

You can't keep losing and not restarting the streak.

"No." "What? What do you mean no?" "Max is talented and skilled enough to protect himself. Besides we're ahead by good chunk." "Y/N these are team orders." You didn't respond after that, turning off the radio and continuing to lead.

Final lap :: "And Y/N Krau- Oh she's slowing down. She lets Verstappen overtakes and takes the chequered flag! Max verstappen wins the Belgium Grand Prix and its a one two for Red Bull!"

"Thank you, Seventeen." "Yeah yeah." You waved off, feeling your stomach get upset with your loss. Getting out of the car you are met with Max who pulls you in a tight hug. "You're the best, Senta." He patted your back before moving to greet his team.

You pulled your helmet off with a deep disappointed sigh. "Matez3aleesh ya 2amar." Looking up, a smile stretches on your face seeing Marawan, you didn't hesitate to go over and pull him in a hug. "So proud of you, nunu." [baby, nickname].

Your eyes caught the unmistakable blue irises that made you shudder, ones thar belonged to Leon Kraus who had been keeping an eye on you the whole day.

While wrapping up your tasks in the garage, you felt someone tap your shoulder. "I heard you didn't get a one, and I heard they tasted like mom's, so . . ." You watched Meike break his cookie in half, handing you the bigger piece.

Sneaking around was an easy feature an irrelevant girl like you could do. Staying low in the paddock was easy, especially with everyone gathering in the track for the national anthem and the moment of silence. Although you came with your uncle, you've lost him a few minutes ago as you carried the red and yellow helmet.

Arriving on the track where all the drivers were gathered, an official tried to take the helmet from you only for you to hug it tightly, continuing to walk to where the drivers stood in a circle. With their helmets on the floor, you placed the one you posses in the middle before taking a step back.

You found yourself holding hands with Kimi Räikkönen, listening quietly to the anthem you have begun to memorize. Wiping the few tears that rolled down, you were quick to take the helmet back, cutting the eye contact with your father short before retreating to your uncle and aunt.

Crewel already knew about the pokemon world and it's fascinating inhabitants of pokemon.

How?

He's Wife is one of them.

She is the most gorgeous beastwoman he has ever seen!

Her fur, her clothes, posture, personality, everything!!

Heck, she is even a fashionista like him.

She was definetly he's type.

They both quickly got into a relationship but gotten too far ahead and have you.

Both were pretty young at that time but your mom, being a strong woman she is, decided to take you in as her own in secrat in her world.

It was hard at first but both of them were able to make it through until they were 20 and you were 5.

Divus really misses your Mom, keeping the letters that she was able to send and the pictures she included were in a box he had kept hidden in he's dorm room and hoping to the day where he will meet you.

You were a Daddy's girl.

The Crewel family is a family of fashionistas.

Divus Crewel is a Fashion Designer, Your Mom is a Pokemon Stylist, so it makes sense that you have a sense of fashion aswell.

You would always try to copy one of your parents clothes by dressing up in one of their clothing when you were little.

At one point as a young teen, you had gotten into a small phase of you putting your hair into a harajuka style.

As Furfrou gijinkas, your mom would find it ironic that Divus is a dog person and that he's wife and child are canines aswell. But Crewel will not change it any other way.

He would find pleasure in watching your cute tails wagging in joy and excitement.

Styling eachother's hair is your favorite family time.

Your Mom is famous all over the media for posting new hair tutorials in Magicam, whether with her own fur or with you, it was always a blast especially if your there with her being the model.

Speaking of being a model, Crewel never designed an outfit without you and/or your mom being a part of it.

At any chance he can get, he will make sure that he's little girl will be there as a model in the run way with an outfit that he had designed.

He will spend any waking minute with you two in any way he can.

And when he started working at NRC, you are a regular visitor at Night Raven College from time to time.

You usually just go there to visit your Dad or delivery something to him that he might need for he's teaching or he's fashion line.

Though he loves your visits, especielly when you two took the time to have a small chit chat and gossip here and there with eachother, he does not like how the rowdy pups in the school look at you.

The boys were already has their eyes trained on you since the day you had came to visit, in which the Potion Professor had to take extra precuations to keep he's little furfrou away from such crowd.

Vil is an exception.

After all, you two are childhood friends since the day you two meet for a an episode that the boy was in, with you being a guess star there.

But even so, Divus was still skeptical.

You were look just like your mother that had captivated him long ago so he was fearing the worst that a boy would start to approach you in any way.

You are still Daddy's little girl after all..

But you are also Mommy's with a flamethrower and electroball here and there towards some rude boys that were trying to get in your pants.

After all, your Mom may be a performer/poke stylist but there aint no denying she knows how to kick some butts and will teach all she can to teach ya all her tricks.

The Savannaclaw boys quickly fall in love by the first punch...and energy ball.

Oh boy...Crewel has he's hands full with how he's little Pup is now the lovelh Pedigree Poodle in those eyes of the unruly dogs of NRC.

Jockbull Summer Week 6 Set B (18/12/23-24/12/23)

Model used Onome egger(yes this is reused, didn't have time to make a new one)

So this is the first time I fucked up the fast. I still did manage to keep a net caloric intake of about 700cal because of cardio. But I was so out of it in the morning that i forgot to remove the egg yolks in my eggs. And egg yolks are so full of carbs and delicious delicious fats.

It didn’t ruin the day by any means, and arguably made the morning much more bearable. But it was an extra like 200 calories that I could have docked.

Only one meditation this week and it was very standard. Just trying to sort out my brain and prioritize things so i don’t feel so overwhelmed. Coalesce and relax and remind myself that not everything is actually important. Things can go undone if they don’t need to be. Set things in order so that you can deal with the few important things and everything else can go on auto mode.

Always doing this ngl. I wake up from my pre-gym nap and i stroke a bit before getting ready. But also i did break the edging streak…several times..with a cute himbo slut tho so it’s alright. Was so pent up. Bred him and *literally* tore him open with this fat fucking bull cock. Disturbed all his neighbours for hours. But i Can't wait to build back that energy.

Okay I am working on an ACTUAL creative work right now in the form of an avis abstraction. But I am gonna cheat and declare this as one too.

I have a 600 song music playlist that i’ve been building and curating since I was about 13. My music tastes are very incongruent and eclectic and i love them.

So what I’ve done is I went through the songs and picked out a few for each archetype and put them into little vibe playlists that i thought evoked their essences. Enjoy them! (Alpha/Bro/Bull/Jock/Himbo/Pup/AVIS)

I didn’t write up Last week’s Set C. For that I apologize. If I did I would have told you all how the routine feels set now. I’ve got a whole bunch of skincare stuff. Supplements. A process. And its really helping me I feel. It doesn’t feel monotonous. I feel like its placing me into a good starting position for the day to feel good about myself.

“I don't know what to do or what the right decision is…all want to do is make her happy”.

Deuce loved his mother. The kind beautiful woman who cared for him and raised him all by herself. He always knew that she deserved the world and that's why along with becoming an honor student he promised that if she ever found someone she truly loved he would support her no matter what. The second promise was proving itself difficult. It wasn't because they were all bad candidates oh no they were all great in their different ways. The problem was there kids Yuu, Vil and Sliver who like him wanted the best for their parents too, although that ment they where each others rivals.

The first candidate for future mom’s boyfriend was none other than his potions teacher Professor Divus Crewel his best friend Yuu’s guardian. Deuce honestly thought his teacher despite being strict was a great role model and found it cool that they shared a similar interest towards vehicles. If he had guessed when his teacher and mother became close was properly after Parents' Day since they exchanged contacts and have been friends ever since. Maybe it was the joint family road trips or the casual questions asking how she doing that would either brighten or darken his mood that made Deuce think he may have a crush on her. It was the new handmade coat and roses that he gave her on her birthday that sold Deuce the idea that he was right.

“You know I hear that Crewel has five puppies at his house” Ace who had elected himself as Yuu/Crewel campaign manager whispered to Deuce as they all took notes.

“Ace let him focus “ Yuu responded quietly “And it's seven puppies not five that are all too cute”.

There wasn't a moment where Yuu and Ace would not hype Crewel up recently, Deuce felt like it was wariness towards their competitors and fear of losing the contest meant losing their best friend forever.Deuce found the situation touching but annoying at the same time.

“Seven puppies? Damn Crewel must be a secret softie”

“He is also pretty cool when he is working on his cars and lets me drive them sometimes. He said he will get me one when I get my driver's license” Yuu proudly stated.

“Wow now I wish he was my dad” Ace sighed with jealousy “Hey juice if you two become siblings Crewel will properly get you your own vehicle as well!”

“ Seriously guys I appreciate the gesture but let me focused since this topic might come up in the test” Deuce muttered as he continued to take notes.Yuu nodded in agreement and left him alone, Ace remained quiet for a few minutes until a idea popped in his head.

“Hey Juice if Crewel becomes your new dad he will definitely help you study!”

“Would you also be interested in me tutoring you Mr Trappola ?” Crewel who at one point appeared in front of the trio asked with an handsome smile “ I never thought a day would come where I would find such an eager pup when it comes to studying “

“ Well you clearly haven't met Riddle- I mean Yes I love studying!” Ace corrected with a strained face. The class became silent as they waited to to see what their teacher would do next, what punishment will give the troublemakers.Despite their expectations Crewel only glanced at the trio, shook the sleeping Grim awake then walked back towards the black board before turning around one last time

“ I will be expecting A’s in your next exam by the way” he commented as he resumed his lesson.When class finished and students began to leave Deuce saw Ace turn to him with a big grin.

“Look how forgiving Crewel is! He is the perfect in every way possible so imagine what amazing boyfriend he will be”.Deuce rolled his eyes at Ace’s weirdly upbeat attitude.

“Now you are just over selling it Ace if you like crewel soo much you go out with him”

“Nyah? Did I missed something”Grim yawned “We like you , you like us , your mom and crewel like each.So the answer should be simple”

“Grim it is not my decision to make!”

Deuce began to clench his hand tightly as Grims words freely roamed through his mind. Frustration started to boil up inside since it felt like nothing he was saying was being taken seriously by his friends.There was also a little part of him that felt guilty for staying neutral and not fully siding with them.It's not like he didn't like the idea of being Yuu’s siblings but his mother's happiness came first no matter what since his meddleing might lead to hurting her instead.But if his neutrality caused ruin to his relationship with Yuu, Ace and Grim he would not know what to do—

With a flinch Deuce returned to reality when he felt something land on his shoulder, his eyes met Yuu’s worried gazed as their hand gave his shoulder little squeeze.

“Your right its not our decision and I am sorry if it felt like i was forcing you.”Yuu apologized “Its not an excuse but your guys and crewel are the closes thing I have to a family in this world and its no secret your already like brother to me”

Ace who stood behind Yuu began to scratch his head with a sheepish look on his face. He gave a little fake cough while also looking towards deuce along with grim with equal worry in both their eyes eyes”

“As much as I am OFFENDED that Yuu sees you as a brother more then me”Ace joked at first “ your still like my best friend soo like it or not we stuck together no matter”

“But I said your family dude”

“BUT NOT A BROTHER SPECIFICALLYY! Now move over “

Deuce watched as Ace slipped closer bumping Yuu out of the way playfully, taking their spot and placing his arms around each one of their shoulder. The anxiety that filled Deuce heart began to spill out as he felt his hands slowly unclench

“Even if my mom chooses some other dude..” Deuce asked meekly

“Especially if she does! Your not getting rid of us that easily Juice “ Ace flashes his iconic crocked smirk “Also I will be retiring as Yuu and Crewel campaign manager. That was job toooo taxing” he said as he ruffled both of their hairs

Yuu scoffed and retaliated with a light nudge into his the rib while Deuce felt the corners of his lips turn up as he shoved Ace’s hand away from his head. Ace dramatically pretend to be hurt before all three of them bursted into a fit of laughter.

“Thanks guys I really mean it”

“ Dont worry Deuce We will make sure no one else bothers you about this “ Grim promised as he hopped onto Deuces head

“Nyah I am but confused…does that mean no more sleep over at Crewel’s house?”

“We are totally still having a sleepovers at crewel house Grim so don't you worry”

“Great then since Crewel’s house has more fancy tuna that I might generously share if you ask nicely” Grim cheered as he leaped into Yuu’s arms next “ Now lets go for lunch hench-men”

“Yeah all this campaigning made me fanished” Ace complained

“I hear they are serving deluxeminced meat culet sandwich today so we should hurry”

“We should also hit the library afterwards since someone's needs A’s on their next exam”

As the group walked towards the door laughing bantering among themselves Deuce felt this was the end for all his problems for today. Before they all left the classroom a beautiful cheerful voice rang from behind them along with a tall looming shadow.

“ oh yes nothing is as magnifique as a beautiful friendship Non? “

All four of them jumped in surprise before turning to see their senpai Rook standing behind them with a amused look on his face. Quickly both Yuu and Ace stood in front of deuce on guard while Grim ready himself for any attacks.

“What do you want Rook?” Yuu asked cautiously

“ Theres no needs to be frightened since I am only here to invite Monsieur spade for lunch with my dormleader Roi Poison today “

“Oh hell nah Juice is coming to have lunch with us”

“Yeah back off”

The sudden hostile attitude towards Rook was because he was the biggest support to Vil Schoenheit whose father was candidate number two for future mom’s boyfriend.Deucd was also surprised by that fact as well until recently

“Oh dear so there is no way we can talk calmly about this at all? ” Rook questioned with a sad look on his face “ how unfortunate I was ordered to bring Monsiour Spade no matter what “

“What do mean no matter what—”

Something clanked on the ground as Rook was talking that caught Deuce’s attention.He saw a small potion bottle spill on the ground, before he knew it he was already thrown over Rook’s shoulder who then quickly ran towards a nearby window and jumped out with swift grace.As they began to fall down Deuce saw the class explode with pink smoke and along with Ace screaming some curses before his voice got muffled.

“The trickster along with monsieur heart will be fine” Rook chucked with calm look on his face as he continued to carry Deuce once they landed on the ground

“ the potion I used only froze them for 40 minutes which is enough time for you to have your chat with our gracious dorm leader!”

A Year of Sanderson End-of-Year Wrap-Up

When Brandon Sanderson announced his kickstarter for a year-long subscription box, I was so excited! But it's been the biggest let down ever. It was really expensive, and we really didn't get much for our money. I feel so ripped off. And more than that, it doesn't feel like there was a lot of thought put into the items. It was just a way of making a lot of money fast.

At the beginning of the year, I made this post: Guesses, Wishes, Hopes, Dreams..., in which I detailed the kinds of things I was hoping for from this subscription.

Firstly, the books. I said that I wanted the books to work as a set, so that they looked good lined up together. They half managed this. The books were clearly designed together, they're similar in style. But they don't work as a set. For a start, there are two blue books right next to each other. The spine layout is different on the third book as well, which is annoying.

The other thing I wanted was premium book features. Artwork endpapers, ribbon bookmarks, fancy foiling, gilded edges, slipcases. I got almost none of these. The covers were foiled, and there were decorative endpapers, although only the last book had full artwork papers. The only book with sprayed edges was the last, which had plain black edges. The were no ribbon bookmarks, no slipcases, and nothing to set these apart from any other special edition you could buy in a bookstore.

As for the goodies, or as he termed it, "swag"? A total waste of money. This subscription was so, so expensive. Even before shipping, these were more expensive than any of the other boxes I subscribed to.

In other boxes, you get an exclusive book, plus four to five items. In this subscription, you got a book or the items each month, not both. So honestly? I was expecting at least seven or eight items in the "swag" boxes. We got three. And the quality was lacking.

Box 1: Hoid For this box, I had no specific wishes. The only request I had was that it be "imaginative". On that, they failed. We got a t-shirt, some post-it notes, and some stickers. Essentially, promotional business supplies.

Box 2: Cytoverse This was the only non-Cosmere box, so this was the box I was looking forward to most. I asked for a slug plushie, a special edition of Defending Elysium, and some DDF attire. What we actually got was a pack of playing cards, an ice cube tray, and a little model spaceship. The model was good quality, so was probably good for memorabilia collectors, but didn't interest me.

Box 3: Mistborn I wanted a Mistcloak, and a Soonie Pup (I specified "like the ones in the newspaper clippings" because they were so cute!). I got a Soonie Pup, it's true... but instead of a cute plush toy, it was like, an arcade grabber prize? Gross! We also got bookends and stickers. The bookends are really nice, and one of the few items I'll be keeping. The stickers were a bit rubbish.

Box 4: Sel I didn't have any particular wishes for this one, which is good, because I'd definitely have been let down - I couldn't have predicted these ones. There was a wax seal and rubber stamp kit, but they were super low quality, so I didn't keep them. And some... magnets...? For some reason? And some plasters, or "band-aids", as the Americans say.

Box 5: Cosmere I have no idea why they did a "Cosmere" box, when most of the other boxes were also based around the Cosmere. I thought this might include a map, and I said that I'd be disappointed with a poster. This was probably the best box. We got a wash bag, a luggage tag, and some postcards. I like all these items, but it still doesn't seem value for money.

Box 6: Warbreaker I wanted a Nightblood letter opener, and that is what I got! It's sadly boring in appearance, but it's very practical, and kind of elegant, I guess. There were also some glass coasters, which were hideous, and didn't seem to have anything to do with the theme. And some... breath mints. Yeah.

Box 7: Stormlight I love Stormlight, so I was looking forward to this box. I was hoping for a set of pens shaped like various Shardblades, and a set of glass gemstone Spheres with LEDs inside so they glowed when charged, like in the books, and an axehound plushie. We got a Shardblade keyring, but it is way too big to be practical. And a mini figurine, which I very specifically didn't want to get. The last item is an over-the-shoulder bag. It's a really quality item, and I want to love it, but it's just so... nerdy. I know, I know, it's fantasy... of course it's nerdy. But this is too much.

Box 8: Sanderson Fan After this subscription, I am no longer a Sanderson Fan. I was hoping for something "Reckoners" and something "Firstborn", and I was expecting a 2024 calendar. We didn't get any of those. We got a notebook and a pair of socks. I also was hoping for another book. We did kind of get another book - we got a short story. However, it's left a bitter taste in my mouth, as this book has already gone on general sale, for only $12, or free as an eBook! So why did I pay all that money for these boxes?? What a rip off!

There has, since the kickstarter, been loads of amazing merchandise released on Brandon Sanderson's shop, loads of which looks really good, and which I would love. Instead, we mostly just got cheap tat.

And to make it even worse. We were offered, as a "thank you" gift, a set of pins. This was like, their version of a stretch goal. But when the boxes started arriving, they tried to pass it off as part of the "cost" of the box, like it was one of the actual items. This was especially aggravating, as the pins were the ugliest things ever.

Overall, the only things I'm actually keeping from the "swag" boxes are the bookends, the wash bag, the postcards, and the book. I cannot emphasise how much of a waste of money this kickstarter was.

I HC that Tails sometimes acts like a hedgehog since he was raised by one. He will curl up in a ball when scared. He will huff/puff and hiss when mad. Sonic both finds it cute and is a little embarrassed that Tails imitates him so strongly that he picked up those behaviors. I love when these characters act a bit like the animals they are.

I've shared this hc before, but I like to think mobians act a lot more like the animals they derive from when they're younger and kinda grow out of it as they age, so YES- a young sonic, still enough of a child to be atuned to the more Instinctual nature of his ancestry, will huff and puff when he's upset, he'll still hiss and click in the heat of battle, still tremble with stress,,, and a young Tails, ever awestruck with his hero, will see these behaviors in his most formative years and copy his role-model :]

Most cannons say they meet at arround 11 and 4, right? So I'm imagining a 5-6 yo tails huffing to himself over a particularly annoying invention,,, 7 yo hissing under his breath from his position battling in the tornado, miles above his friends,,, 8 and still trembling under the continuous weight of the world.

Love love love the idea of sonic noticing these little habits in his brother and feeling so warm to know his little buddy takes after his so much, but also having that horrid realization of like. 'I'm an influence. My actions impact my little brother and how he interacts with the world.' Absolutely mortaling smh

Maybe one time in public, Tails'll make a little grunt or squeal to get sonics attention instead of a yipp or yelp as is more typical of a fox pup, and they get some strange looks by people who don't really understand why

Sonic is shocked when he find out most normal foxes don't and can't curl completely in on themselves when scared like he and his little buddy can. Turns out it's just a little behavioral socialization tails picked up from being raised by him :]

I love it when they keep traits from their animal ancestors thank you so so much anon I loved rolling this concept around in my brain <3

Ratings + Insights on the Kaiju Paradise gootraxian redesigns

So the 3.1R update came out and gave me a bunch of furries to brainrot about. And as an enjoyer of Furry Character Design myself, I felt like reviewing most if not all of them.

Know that these are all personal opinions and art is, as always, subjective and disagreeing is okay!

anyways....

KAIJU

Originally a pretty good design. Average "gozilla-esque" look, the redesign is essentially a polishing so it fits more with the newer gootraxians. Looks cute, looks cool, still looks iconic. 10/10

CATTE

Once again, just a polishing of the original design, I like the whiskers, they're cute! Though I'm not sure if I'm a big fan of the washed out colors, and the bucket standing straight on their head. The one ear sticking out was cute. 8/10

FED

A design polish. Which is the treatment that the whole Wolf Quartet as I like to call them got. Well at least now I know that they're wolves. Still a pretty plain design, though the eyes look cool. 5/10

FIG

Can't get more "just a polish" than that. Fig is a pretty anecdotal gootraxian in itself... The texturing of the fur is a nice addition. 10/10

GHOSTFOX

At first I thought it didn't really need the polishing treatment. Until I got another look at its render and yeah, lol. Their face looks weirdly elongated, and the tails have become wispy, likely to emphasize the 'ghostly' look. Though I very much preferred the old fuzzy tails that emphasized the death by electrocution. But I guess it's one or the other.... 6/10

GLUBBY

Formerly known as Feizao, as it's more of a replacement than a redesign (because I'm including them too. Why not?)

Aside from the obvious design having to derive completely from the original, I feel like Glubby is cute and interesting! But it is dragged back completely by how poorly it translates to the 3D roblox models, making it look.... ugly. Unfortunately. 5/10

HAZZY

A really good redesign, holy shit!! I used to really dislike Hazzy because of how plain it looked and it was a pain to unlock it. But the buff not only made it grow on me a bit, the redesign made it actually top tier to me haha...

The hazmat suit patterns, stitches, fucked up and evil attitude are all incredible additions. 11/10

TOXIC RABBIT

A gootraxian that was in dire, dire need of a redesign holy shit lmao. Well it certainly looks more like a rabbit now, but once again, why the desaturated colors...? There's also not much of the evil gremlin energy is used to have. 5/10

SPRINKLEKIT

I started playing Kaiju Paradise, honestly, kind of late... So I didn't exactly experience Conekat firsthand. What I can say from what I see.... Sprinklekit is so much more superior, sorry Conekat fans.

Though I've heard Conekat could merge and have 3 heads so... points goes to them. I do like the sprinklekit variants though, strawberry is my favorite. 10/10

SLIMEPUP

Ah yes, the slimepup. Simple but effective and cute design, the lime color is actually my favorite! The floppy ears definitely makes it look more like a pup. Its artwork is reeally cute! buuuuuut, the design really doesn't translate well to roblox models, unfortunately.... 6/10

SLIMEHOUND

The slimehound looked super cool in artwork.

3D model had me disgusted.

SHORK

A very plain design that desperately needed an upgrade. And that is a good upgrade indeed! It's still shork, but at least it's not... boring. 10/10

SHADE

Another one of the wolf quartet. Shade is a little cooler than Fed to me. Its redesign is pretty good, it has its own color coding now! Congrats on losing your achromatic palette, Shade! 10/10

PLANTIX

Just a polish, and a very straightforward one too. The new tail looks really cute, I could play as plantix just to look at the flowers on it. 10/10

MOCHA

Mochi is. Very forgettable to my eyes, sorry Mochi fans...

The redesign makes it look more goat-like, I like goats. Oh, and the fur pattern resembling latte art is a really neat touch. Now I know it's a coffee dragon! Mochi/Mocha is boring to me, but it's undeniably a good design. 10/10

LEMONSHORK

Congrats on her transition!

More seriously, I think all the shorks have had the best redesigns haha. I always liked lemonshork design-wise, but the redesign actually looks like it smells and tastes like lemon. True advertising! 11/10

MANIC

Carneline was... my favorite gootraxian among them all. Its design was cute, effective and unique, its color palette was really good and balanced. I understood it being cut from the game so I wanted to welcome Manic with open arms.

But the design just... didn't translate well. It's also so... Monochromatic, so much redder. And the eyes have a busy design. The cyan sclera with fuschia irises is a simplistic yet perfect design. The purple fur contrasting with the red crystals was real neat too.

Manic doesn't look bad, it's just... not as good as Carneline.

....At least Manic's hot in its concept artwork... 2/10

DAGODA

Just like with Glubby, gotta push the drama aside. I really like raptors so there's bias there... People think Dagoda's ugly, I personally really like it! It's no Fashui (one of my old favorites), but it's no big downgrade either.

Although I wish it at least had a few glowing features, given it's a power outage/blackout gootraxian, and that's what made them special. The little lightbulb tail on Fashui is what made it cute...

MELONSHORK

Okay, I said all the shorks had the best redesigns... BUT.

Melon shork has... the opposite problem of toxic rabbit!

Why are the colors so saturated??? It looks closer to an actual watermelon, but it just looks... not that great. The pastel colors were much nicer. Maybe some thicker, more abundant stripes would make it more melon-y? I don't know...

PSEUDOSHORK

Now THAT is a redesign I fell in love with instant-fucking-ly. This might actually be the best redesign, if not just my favorite!

From a plain pink shork to this absolute murder gremlin, who bleeds gatorade and laughs at death. The asymmetrical fangs are a really cool touch too.

Top tier/10 Would make this my fursona.

HEBI

Okay, I respect Carneline and Panther's creator to have stepped down and dissociated from the whole concept but daaaamn why were those designs so good...

Panther was peak, unfiltered edginess that was still somehow cool.

And just like with Manic, my issue is the eyes... Hebi doesn't look like a shadow-lurking predator, but more like... a goth clown. Don't get me wrong, it's a really good design on its own! But compare it to Panther?... Man, I miss being edgy.

BUCK

Why is it red?

Why did they make it red?

It's a blackout gootraxian, not power outage. Why is it fucking red?

JAMMER

Ooooh the blackout wolves... They have been done dirty. The new patterns and fur colors look nice but Jammer looks too... silly. Too cute... I miss the cool attitude it had! And the outline glow really doesn't look nice either. It feels out of place, it doesn't feel like the Jammer is actually glowing!

no VIP variant can salvage this.

NIGHTSHADE

I don't have much to say about this. It's just like Jammer. The blackout wolves were done dirty. At least Nightshade kept its original vibe. 2/10

NUCLEAR RABBIT

Absolutely nasty. And I mean it as a compliment. That rabbit will give me every disease and call me a slur. 10/10

SINOX

I didn't have a big opinion on Sinox until I actually saw it in a blackout ingame. And thought "omg it's fucking gorgeous!"

The back is super sparkly, on top of the particles it sheds. Sinox has been given so much more personality, and really went all the way with its concept! That being... a glowstick in a rave. 11/10

WISP

Same creator as Carneline and Panther, and somehow the original design is so.... bland and uninspired. How? That shork doesn't feel very "lantern" to me. On top of looking quite plain.

Wisp brings justice to that idea. This shork is indeed lantern!! Also I really dig the bones. Is it see-through flesh? Is it just not there? Who knows! This design bangs

Little Red's Adventures

Story 2

Gentleness of a sister

Ch. 1

The waking hours of the eldest child of Momba started even before the rising of the sun. Her dark and sparkled complexion is what gave her the name Than-guan; Midnight. Her skin was sleek and smooth, shimmering in even the dullest of light. She was almost completely black thanks to her unique and rare genetic trait.

As she readied herself for the day ahead, she had thought to herself while bathing. She would always talk out loud, which her servants were used to by now. "Do you think I should take my youngest brother and spend a few days with him? He's a cute little unblood, scrawny kinda, but he's a big sweetheart and very smart for his age." Than-guan asked her female servant as she scrubbed Than-guan's back.

The young female servant was a Matriarch in training and she was put under the watch of Than-guan by the older Matriarchs, "I think you should my Matriarch Than-guan." She replied with a soft and quiet voice.

"Mm- then I shall. Go fetch me my towel, do your daily chores and have the rest of the day off. Oh, and remind Haj-ah that she needs to clean up the mess she makes every time she uses my training room or else I will have to ban her from it."

The young female nodded and headed off to get the towel. She came back just as fast as she left and handed the towel to the dark yautja.

Midnight got dressed and headed out of her luxurious palace. The sun still was hiding. The land was cool and crisp, just how she liked it. She loved the early morning and late night. She knew her mother, Black Momba, wouldn't be up just yet. She also knew that her mother hated getting up early unlike her. So she would head to go and check on her ship and make sure it was flight ready. She had already planned out in her head of what she wanted to do with her youngest brother.

"I will take him to one of the many planets I've been to and show him the flora and fauna, teach him and maybe train him too." She chittered to herself as she had her ship cleaned up, checked and repaired. By the time she was done, the sun had risen over the mountain peaks and was pouring down its hot rays of life onto the waking land. Than-guan cleaned herself up and went forth to the village she was raised in, the village of her ancestors and the village of her family.

Within her clan, she was a well-known Matriarch and huntress. She was very skilled in the hunt, but she much preferred to study the life she came across and would log it in the shared database her clan had available to any hunter. Her knowledge of plants, herbs and medicines is what she is praised for the most. She has cured many sickly and injured yautja during her young years of being a Matriarch.

Now, she is known by her younger siblings as the perfect role model. She has birthed a few pups, making Momba a grandmother, and she herself a mother. She has hunted many creatures and made a name for herself amongst her people. She was proud and happy for her title, knowing it made her grandfather, the clan leader Python, proud and honored to have her as his grandchild.

When Than-guan reached Momba's hut, she entered through the thick cloth that kept the doorway covered. Momba was surprisingly awake, but then she noticed Little Red bouncing around and chittering to his sleep deprived mother.

"Oh, my little Than-guan. What brings you here my love?" Black Momba walked over to her daughter and gently placed her forehead against her's as a loving and welcoming greeting.

"I was wondering if I could spend a few days with Little Red. Take him on my personal ship, teach him and show him around on the safe planets. I believe he would love it."

Momba clicked while in thought, then looked to the little spawn that had clung to her leg. "Mama! Mama! I wanna go!" Little Red exclaimed with excitement as he tugged on her loincloth. He was so small compared to his sister and mama. "I'll allow it. But only if you check in with me every morning and every night when you are gone."

Than-guan nodded as Little Red bounced around and shouted. "Go prepare yourself my son." She said with a delighted chuckle. Little Red ran to his mother's room of which he had been sharing with her ever since he had been a part of the clan. His things were in a corner of her room and it didn't take him long to pack what he thought he needed. But of course Momba had to show him what he would need, so it took him a while to get prepared.

By noon, Little Red and Midnight were ready. She lead him to her ship and he couldn't stop bouncing around with excitement. Than-guan watched her little brother with a 'smile.' Seeing his reaction to her personal ship was golden. He was so easily amazed and admired the ship's beauty. When the both of them got inside, he was even more awestruck. Midnight's ship was more advanced and newer than the clan's ship. The technology was still very new and she loved it to bits.

"Place your bag in here Red." She opened a small room which held a rather large bed in it. The bed fit the entire room except for a few feet from the door. Little Red placed his bag in the room and so did Than-guan. She closed the room back up and headed to the cockpit. She placed the adopted spawn of her mother into one of the seats and strapped him in tightly and securely. He would only need to be seated for liftoff and landing.

She sat herself into the pilot's seat and entered in the coordinates to the planet she had in mind. It would take them a couple of days before they would arrive near that planet, even if they hyper jumped.

"Sissy! Where are we going?" He asked as he swung his legs back and forth. He had never been off-planet before, let alone been on another planet. He was so excited and he couldn't keep still.

"I'm taking you to one of the planets I have been to many times before to study medicines. It is in here and out there where I will teach you." Than-guan said as she fliped some switches and started up her ship. She herself was excited since this would be the most time she will have spent with him up to this point. She always loved to spend time with her siblings, even more so with the younger ones since they always had so much wonder in them. A quality that had always faded with age.

"What will you teach me? What is the planet like? Will mama come?" Little Red bombarded her with questions. He always asked so many but he was very smart for his age because of it.

"Mama won't be coming. But she will be checking up on us at least twice a day and you can tell her all about what you have learned." Than-guan put the ship on autopilot after checking that the proper coordinates were in the system. The ship lifted off smoothly. When the ship left the atmosphere of Yautja-Prime, Little Red couldn't stop chittering and clicking his small mandibles together. Midnight got up from her seat and then unfastened her little charge from his.

"It is going to take us a couple of days to get to the planet. What would you like to do first?" Little Red jumped out of his seat and then looked up at her, "mmmh..." He looked around and then back at her. He couldn't decide.

"Would you like me to train you?"

"Yeah!"

"Come with me then, and I will take you to the training room." She said with a smile as she held out her hand. He took her hand and followed her.

For the next 2 hours, she taught Little Red and for 2 hours after that, she told him stories of her hunts. He listened to her intently ans never hesitated to ask her a question that was in his mind.

She then prepared a meal for the both of them since they had become hungry after all of that training and talking.

"Have you ever seen a ooman before? Mama says she has seen a ooman."

"I have seen one once. I was actually on a hunt with mama. We were tasked with tracking down a rogue Bad Blood and he ended up on earth. We had to be stealthy so the pyode amedha would not see us." She gave the small youngling a plate of food and sat down.

"The Bad Blood went into one of the cities on a killing spree. We saw many of the oomans before we killed that Bad Blood." She took a bite of the meat chunk she grabbed for herself.

"What are the pyode amedha like? Mama says i'm not old enough to know. She says they will give me bad dreams. But I want to know about them. Can you tell me about them pleeeaaase?" He begged his older sister to tell him.

"If mama says you are too young, then I must respect her words. Remember, there will be things that you must not know about, but there will be things that you find out on your own. And the pyode amedha are something you will have to wait about to know more of."

Little Red huffed and threw a little pouty fit while he ate. After the two were done with lunch, Than-guan entered Little Red and herself by playing some games. They were mostly child games, but fun for the both of them. Some of these games she had not played ever since her last litter of pups had all but grown up. Which had been a long time ago. As she had gotten older, she went out on trips to explore the galaxies and study what she could about anything she saw.

She often found herself being gone from Yautja-Prime for years at a time, but always kept in touch with her clan through video messages. Any time she would come back, she would always visit Black Momba first. It reminded her of the night she found out Momba had adopted Little Red. He was so small and so vibrant, compared to her clan, he was the complete opposite. Their clan consists of dark and large yautja.

Whoever Little Red's parents were or whatever lineage he came from, she knew he was something very special.

As it came closer to time to sleep, Than-guan sat the tired pup down to have a video call with their mother. During the time, he could barely keep his eyes open, but he was still happy to see his mother. After the long conversation Black Momba and Than-guan had, Little Red had already fallen asleep and he was out like a light. When the call was over, Than-guan carried Little Red to the small room with the bed and laid him down.

She had a couple of more things to do on the ship before she could join him with sleep. Little Red's estimated birthday was coming up soon. It was only a few weeks away and Midnight wanted to get something special for him. Since she had noticed he was so obsessed with earth and wanted to know as much as he could about it, she had convinced Momba to let her gift something to him that was from Earth.

She wanted to make sure he wouldn't find it on her ship, so she hid it and planned on giving it to him once they were going to go back home. After she had hid it in a place he could never reach or know of, she went to the little room and laid down by her sleeping brother. While he was half asleep, he clung to her and snuggled close, so she held him in her arms and drifted peacefully to sleep.

I’m already obsessed with Celestine too! The prettiest pup ever with beautiful long thick hair with Charles’s eyes. Her being a super girly girl like Luna and them bonding over that. She definitely is mommy’s little princess. Maybe she takes after her maman and does modeling, but like seriously as a career when she gets older.

Calestine being the missing link between Evie and Luna too?? She's girly and loves stuff that Luna loves (also looks up to her) but she is also her mama's daughter, so she has a lot of temperament and is quite bold and courageous sometimes which helps her and Evie bond. She has a lot of attitude but is also incredibly cute and charming <3

Thoughts on Scamp's Adventure

I wanted to do a script of characters watch and react to this film, but I couldn't decide which characters to use and roast this film properly, so I'll just criticize it right here.

This film might have been fun when I was a kid but as I got older and rewatched it, it became one of the direct-to-video Disney sequels I disliked.

The animation: one of the only redeeming qualities.

The songs:

* "Welcome Home" - just a standard "good morning to the whole town" song that doesn't seem to match a Lady and the Tramp setting and all to show their life in their hometown is great, that they wouldn't change it for anything and that they're getting ready for the 4th of July picnics. Not really inspiring there.

* "A World Without Fences" - I like the 'wanting to be free' theme, but it'd be better from a different character and a different perspective, and not Scamp, as...well, you'll see why, if you haven't already.

* "Junkyard Society Rag" - hardly catchy at all, and though I like Jess Harnell, he's not the best singing voice for a Chazz Palmenterri character, and it was hard to take any of the dogs serious in this number.

* "I Didn't Know That I Could Feel This Way" - I actually thought this song was touching but should have been done with different characters in a different franchise, as I'm not really into Scamp/Angel like I thought I was as a kid. Though, it's also great to hear Herc's singing voice (Roger Bart) and Meg's voice (Susan Egan) having a duet.

* "Always There" - standard sad times montage song just put in there to add length to the film under the "film must be 90 minutes or at least longer than 60" rule

And I liked the pop title ballad version of "Bella Notte" (the song from the original) though it had nothing to do with this film's plot and this film isn't really worth sitting through just to get to that as we see the names of the people involved in this film roll.

The characters:

* Scamp - he's supposed to be a role model to rebellious kids everywhere and we're supposed to find him cute, but honestly, he's rather a spoiled, annoying, cocky, deluded jerkass who's disrespectful to his own father. He may have learned a lesson at the end, but that doesn't save him from winning a "Butthole Protagonist" award, and he doesn't seem to be deserving of a girlfriend either for his actions. Also, it's weird having a grown man, Scott Wolf, voice a pup when he didn't sound young at all.

* Angel - she's supposed to be this perfect girl designed to be the main character's love interest, and while I don't hate her, I find few faults with her. For example, she looks like she could be Scamp's sister and she does end up being his sister in the end (not biologically, but through adoption from the Dears, yet people still want them to be a thing), and she has this bad girl attitude which is supposed to be charming, but it doesn't come off as charming when they're both pint-sized pups. Maybe it'd come off as charming if they were anthros, but not their canon forms.

* Tramp - sadly been struck with the "Simba Sequel Syndrome"

* Lady - The writers sadly did her dirty. She was the main character of the first one and now she's demoted to the wife/mother of main character who gets less lines in favor of the spouse and offspring, just like Nala. And what's worse, is there are no interactions between her and Scamp, to view if THEY would have any connection whatsoever. It's just Scamp and connection with his dad and his selfish dreams of running off to be a wild dog.

Her role is pretty much summed up in this scene:

"Tramp: Like it or not, you are a part of this family, and until you start acting like it, you can just get used to being out here every night!

Tramp left and went inside in anger, while Lady watched Scamp jump on the roof of the dog house. She gave a hopeless sigh, and went inside as well, leaving Scamp alone to calm down."

Honestly, it shouldn't even be called "Lady and the Tramp II", just have it called "Scamp's Adventure" or "Scamp" and regard it as a spin-off since it's his film.

* Annette, Danielle and Collette - it's kind of dumb having them just being carbon copies of each other with no individual personality or characteristics other than "we like baths" or "we're the perfect children and Scamp's a selfish brat" without even remote compassion for him. And two of them are voiced by Kath Soucie. Nothing against her, but it seemed repetitive to have Kath voice all female children in late 90's-early 2000's Disney cartoons, and I don't like her voicing unlikable girls in cartoons with that kind of voice (such as Jenna from Clifford the Big Red Dog, one of the stepsisters from Happily N'Ever After, and others).

* The Junkyard Dogs - they just come off as pale knock-offs of Dodger and the Downtown Dogs from Oliver & Company. They've got a street-smart leader (Buster to Dodger), a tall, sly, attractive female added in there for furbait though contributes little to the plot and hardly anyone talks to (Ruby to Rita), a diminutive dog with an accent (Francois to Tito), a big doofus (Mooch to Einstein), and the remaining member (Sparky to Francis). And like Fagin called his dogs "boys", ignoring Rita's gender, Buster called them all boys, as if no one cared about Ruby's gender

Disney could have tried to make them more likable and unique but this had to be all about Scamp, and we've already got Jock, Trusty, the Dears and Scamp's family having to return as supporting characters.

Of course, out of all of them, Buster is by far the one that is truly loathsome. He's like a mixture of Dodger, Roscoe and/or Desoto with the smug "I'm better than you" attitude and the jock the new kid at high school foolishly looks up to and wants to be like, even if it means getting himself killed in an initiation. And another sickening quality about him is that he constantly flirts with the lead female, Angel, calling her his girl. I just can't stand those characters who are the alpha male who thinks they're entitled to the most intelligent female among the group.

The dog cronies themselves aren't really terrible, and they have subtle sympathy towards Scamp and Angel, but they're still not charming enough. They even laughed like cronies. They seem like nice dogs, but the writers could have done better with them. And remember how I mentioned that Buster referred to them all as "boys", ignoring Ruby and Angel being girls like Fagin ignored Rita's gender? Well, someone at the studio, SOMEONE could have the decency to correct that mistake and have them correct Buster.

Speaking of Ruby, she didn't have much lines at all, as she suffers the same problem with all cartoon Salukis and Afghan Hounds: sentenced to strictly being background furbait with appealing design yet no focus or qualities to make them more likable, and one thing that bothers me is that she and Angel seem to share no positive feels toward each other or negative towards each other, because back in the 2000's, there didn't seem to be a lot of positive female relationships written in cartoons. I really want someone to write a story with them being friends.

As a kid, I oddly enough hardly noticed her myself and didn't even know she was a girl, and it doesn't help that Buster said "boys". Seriously, why do animators and writers not pay enough attention to background characters?

* The Dogcatcher - weak antagonist with an annoying Don Knotts impression given by Jeff Bennett (who did better with the impression as Jonathan the Seagull on Puppy Dog Pals). I didn't even like this character as a kid.

* Otis - a psychotic annoying Rob Paulsen-voiced character no one ever asked for and was not necessary but someone at the Disney animation studio decided to throw in just to keep Rob employed (what, Rob wasn't already voicing plenty of other characters at the time?).

The story itself: boring, lazy, tiresome, predictable, and doesn't really do the first Lady and the Tramp any justice. That's why I decided that doing a word-for-word fanmake of it isn't worth spending time over. JusSonic would be willing to do something like it, but I'm not. I gave him a transcript and summed up the sequel to his version for 2009, so that's enough.

However, it is not the worst Disney sequel ever made. It's fine to watch at least once (and maybe only once). In honesty, I prefer watching the original or the live-action remake of the original over this. And honestly, I feel this should have been remade, not for the sake of nostalgia, but to make it better.

Day 6

Alright boys and girls, I know its late (well, for me) and that it's a day late again but I have been run ragged. Literally, I have blisters on my feet now.

Anyways,

Yesterday's classes were pretty normal and particularly interesting. Almost missed my second class because we changed rooms and I went to the wrong one, but hey, I made it. After my classes, I huffed it to the meeting point at 3:30. I also discovered a nicer route to school. I have no clue why they take us up the mountain when the other route is just as quick and doesn't make me feel like I'm going to pass out after it, but I still found it. Anyhoo, we were waiting for the bus, and walking down the street came this cute little guy! Well, he's not so little but he was the sweetest thing ever! When our advisor, Aliki got there, she explained to us that most- if not all- the strays are brought in by the county and vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and tagged before being released. The Greeks hate wasting food, so whatever the don't eat, they set out for strays. When walking along the sidewalk, or what little of it that's there, you'll often see bowls of water as well. Anyway, this sweet, beautiful pup came right up to us when we cooed at him, and proceeded to try to follow us onto the bus.

When we got back that night, he was still there, waiting for us. I want nothing more than to take him home and give him all the love in the world, but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to smuggle him through customs. And my parents would crucify me.

We made our way to the Acropolis Museum. Aliki and I were talking most of the way there, and she kept sharing more and more places I need to go to because of my interest in history. Once we got to the Museum, we met our tour guide and got ready to enter the building.

What you don't get told before going there, is that outside, the entire floor is glass.

Why?

Cause there is an excavation happening right beneath your feet!

I was barely following along, I was so enamoured. But we made our way inside, and while everyone was on their phones or using the bathroom, Aliki grabbed my arm and dragged me over towards little models of different parts of Athens. That wasn't what she was showing me. She pointed down and once again I was met with the massive excavation. The city was crazy intact, you can actually see what's left of the gutters! Finally inside, our tour guide led us wayyy too quickly through it. But here's some of the things I saw!

In my Aspects of Ancient Art class, we're learning about different forms of pottery, and their purposes. Two important pieces are shown below:

So, most of us have all seen these geometric style vases, right? These pieces are known as Amphora and due to the geometric design, we can date them back to 800 BC. They're beautiful, and are a testament to the skill required in the arts as the slip that created the designs was virtually invisible against the clay when painted on. But, they're even more amazing than that.

They aren't vases at all. They're urns.

On the first Amphora, we see a group of men with shields and swords. Because of this, we can assume that the person inside was a soldier. And since only males were soldiers in ancient Athens, we know that the person inside is in fact male. However, there's another way we can tell the sex of the bones inside. Males were only ever buried in Amphoras with handles that extend from the neck, down to the body.

The second portrays a figure lying down with grieving family members and friends on either side. We know that the person inside is female, not only because the lying figure's legs aren't defined, so she's wearing a skirt, but because of the smaller handles that rest right on the belly of the vase. This highlights a feminine artistic feature that can be seen on women today, either through the curve of hips or a pregnant stomach. The handles on the male burial urn act as a way of broadening the neck, creating a more masculine feel to the piece.

Wacky, I know.

We also saw the Kore statue, The Kritis Boy, and more!

The most impactful, however, was the modern recreation of the Parthenon. Since restorations don't allow visitors to go inside, the Acropolis Museum's top floor is a modern version of the temple. There are metal pillars of the exact height, number, and width and the room is the exact measure of that of the Parthenon. Around the room, the top of the walls are covered in beautiful scenes of heroic battles and myths of the gods. Standing in front of them, burning the image into my skull, the tour guide explained to us why all of the decorative squares were white.

Except one.

When the British helped the Greeks overthrow Turkish rule in the 19th century, they took interest in the ancient buildings that made Athens, Athens. They saw the decorations on the Parthenon, and decided to take them. Marble, if not pure, turns yellow and black from time and pollution. So, the decorations in the museum should've been yellow, not white. Well, when Athens asked the British Museum for their return, The British Museum basically said "Oh well," and sent Athens plaster casts of the actual decor instead.

Only one true piece of the Parthenon's decoration remains in Athens today.

Anyways, there was so much to see, including a reading lounge and a book shop! But we were quite literally rushed out of there so I didn't get hardly a fraction of the time I wanted. But, I'm going to go back, and I get in free!

Finally walking up to the Acropolis, we stopped at the base of the hill to look at the remnants of an amphitheatre. At my back, stood the very first theatre in the ENTIRE world.

Holy crap.

I was quite literally in awe, and I wanted to stay and look at it longer, but once again we were rushed off.

The climb to the top of the hill is brutal. The road is marble, original marble, so its slick as snot, and several times I almost had to catch R from falling on her face. Getting to the top, you realize its massive.

Like, I knew it was massive, but it was really massive. You know how they say New Yorkers always know who is the tourist cause they look up?

Screw tourism, you'd be crazy if you didn't constantly look up at that amazing sight. Its gargantuan and truly a beautiful place. You can see all of Athens and the Aegean sea.

After spending not nearly enough time up there, we walked back down and left to get food. We went to an amazing restaurant with a view of the Acropolis and had this amazing feta that was wrapped and fried in phyllo dough and drizzled in honey and topped in sesame seeds. The honey here, good lord it's an amazing piece of heaven. I have no clue what this dish is called, but I could eat ten of them in one sitting. And don't even get me started on the lamb shank. Ugh I am so in love with this country.

I'm about to pass out, so I will be uploading today's itinerary tomorrow.

Thing's I have taken away from today:

I will be spending several hours in the museums here.

Always have water with you in Athens.

Never go to the Acropolis in the middle of the day. You won't survive.

White lead was also used by the Ancient Greeks, not just the English in the Renaissance.

People under 25 and who are students get into museums for free.

I'm going to cry once I have to eat American food again.

I want every single stray that I see here. They're all so sweet.
