Emergency commissions!!!

For some background I’m a 22 year old trans guy who is currently trying to make it through nursing school. I’ve had a really rough go financially and in life the last few months- I had to get emergency thyroid surgery in the middle of my first semester of nursing school- and my grandmother was murdered just two weeks after my recovery. This has led me to being out of work for a extended period of time due to the stress of surgery recovery- now having hypothyroidism and grief- all ontop of school. So I’ve been surviving this semester paycheck to paycheck without getting to get a lot of money in savings.

So my college just informed me that my scholarship will not be able to cover my summer semester- I am required to take summer classes to stay in the nursing program. The total that I’ll have to pay in two weeks is 612$.

I don’t typically ask for help like this but I’m at a loss at what else to do- so I’m going to open up emergency commissions.

Here are some examples and starting prices. The way I’m doing these commissions is the starting price is the lowest price I will accept for that commission style- and if you want to pay above that feel free! These commissions will be discounted due to the urgent need of this situation

I can draw pretty much anything! I mostly do dnd character art- and flight rising dragon art- but I’ve done a wide range of commissions in the past! I’m comfortable with furries- robots- humans- animals.

Prices start from highest to lowest!

Full scenes: 45+

Painted fullbody basic background: 35+

Character reference sheet/ fullbody with no background 20-30+

Half bodies: 15+

Headshots :5-10$+

These commissions will have a long turnaround time! Can’t start working full time on them until after finals on may 13th. I will try my best to provide sketches before then ! Please don’t commission if this timeframe does not work with you!

StarCanWreckedPulp Fan Rewards For Palestine??

While I'll be keeping this blog name and logo for the next couple of weeks so that all of you who already follow this blog know who I am, I'm thrilled to announce that we'll soon be rebranding to what I hope will become a yearly, or even biannual, communal charity drive for the online StarCanWreckedPulp fan fam to come together for a chosen cause! For this inaugural run, I have decided to raise money for Palestine and other peoples suffering genocide. In order to gain the rewards that will be offered by the event, people will simply have to submit screenshot proof that they have donated to a fundraiser supporting victims of genocide.

As part of the event, I will be doing a giveaway in which the winner will be able to chose any one item from the official Starkid, TCB, or Shipwrecked stores to get for free. While this will be the Grand Prize, I hope to have a couple of other prizes up for grabs as well.

This is where you guys come in--what prizes would you like the chance to win? What artist would you love to win a commission from? Please fill out the survey below--no emails are collected and it's just the one question!

It seems like a lot of us One Piece fans started to leave the fandom for other things. You have your folk lore, I really got into pokemon. I wish you luck on your new art adventure.

I was pretty much only reading One Piece whenever the Kid Pirates were involved tbh

After a lot of the Yamato drama and general transphobic/homophobic/racist bullshit that kept getting regurgitated with the same three points of discourse I just got… tired. I’ve been tired for a long time. I wanted it to be better and I can absolutely see and acknowledge One Piece and Oda for where it is and for where he is, but like… man. It just wasn’t making me happy. Keeping up started feeling like a chore and an expectation. I was actually almost happy when the Kid Pirates were written out because I had this moment of like… finally I can be free of this shit.

Unfortunately the majority of my audience is One Piece-based so I don’t think I’ll ever fully be able to leave leave, (especially because something like Irish paganism and mythology isn’t exactly enough to go off of to keep a steady flow of money and I would have COMPLICATED FEELINGS about that anyway since I’m still very much a novice here), even if I am able to allow myself space to breathe and pursue other interests outside of this big huge modern epoch. This is still my livelihood, which is another part of the reason I didn’t want my entire career to be centered around making fanart of an anime I didn’t feel great about. I wanted to be thinking more about what I want to be doing, and the type of work I want to have representing myself as well as what is marketable and will make money. Fanart for large fandoms builds more interest for commissions because it has a wider reach than original work. It does serve a function. It’s just not where my heart’s at, and given the state of everything I’d rather be putting my energy towards something that makes me want to draw again.

I still have a lot of love for the little corner I built for myself within the One Piece universe. I still really respect One Piece for what it is: an INCREDIBLY vast sandbox that allows for the immense creativity of the fandom to build upon this empire that Oda has created. That’s no small feat, and I have an IMMENSE amount of respect for Oda as a writer, world-builder, and artist. I’ll still probably be drawing the Kid Pirates for a long time.

Just not as much as I used to.

I really hope I can also continue to build an audience of people who have similar interests as me in all regards, not just one specific fandom for one specific anime.

Mutual Aid for Disabled Couple

There's a lot that's happened, but I'll try to keep it brief this time. Basically, my spouse and I are both disabled and unable to work. We live on a single income (his disability) for the time being as I struggle and struggle to get accepted for my own disability payments. Starting at the end of last year, our home was transferred to a property management company. We owed back rent and they came after us hard. Despite payment plans, they have screwed us over time and again, added fines, didn't inform us of a court date, fined us for that, and just harrassed us every month with an eviction form. At our rate, if they don't kick us out, we should have everything paid by June at the latest.

Unfortunately, that means we have no money for anything else. We have no car, our phones are shut off for non-payment, and groceries are getting harder to come by as we can only order delivery.

I am doing emergency commissions, something you can see on @duessa but due to major health issues, my queue is rather backed up.

I feel like we've asked for a lot, and I loathe asking for more, but even a dollar or two can help us survive. We appreciate and love all the help and support we've received. Thank you, from the bottom of my aching heart.

SO!! I don't tend to often talk about anything regarding my irl stuff here - especially more serious stuff. I don't like bogging down the vibes, nor the idea of burdening strangers with my problems - so I would not be making this post if I really, REALLY didn't have to.

But as of the current moment, I am homeless.

It's been a long and tangled up situation, but to put a long story short we got majorly fucked over by our old landlords who evicted us without proper notice. (Yes, I'm aware it's very illegal - no, we can't exactly do anything about that right now. We tried.) This morning we were forcefully removed from the motel we were staying in without warning, an ordeal which was extremely traumatizing.

Currently, I am sleeping on the floor of my brother's office at his work, while my cat, Feather, is stuck in a crate. While it's better than being outside, I am physically disabled and sleeping like this for longer than a few days will likely render me unable to move. Not to mention the fact that I really do not want to have my poor baby crated for longer than I need to.

A very good friend of mine has offered to take me in for the time being until things get sorted back over here!! The only problem is said friend is 7 hours away. My brother, @arcanesprite, is willing to make the drive - something I am incredibly grateful for. But we need to get the money together to be able to make this happen.

We need $300 to rent the car and have money for gas. Because of this, I am opening up $15 Pokemon doodle commissions!

These will be open for as long as we need to get the money together! As you can probably guess, I might not be extremely speedy in getting started on these, but the second I'm able to I will do so! If you can't commission, please PLEASE boost this!!

Hello, I saw you commissions were open! And I will like to ask.

How would the brothers react to a light sleeper?

I would assume, they all would do activities during the night. Maybe the brothers would but charms and spells around their room. Or maybe Lucifer might put a stricter curfew, so they can sleep!

I have some thoughts on this!

Light sleeper Mc

Lucifer

This man doesn't get sleep basically, staying all night working.

He is quiet, doesn't make a noise when he is shut down at his study.

The times he can rest, you may hear cursed music from his room.

If this wakes you up, he will apologize, and only listen to it in his study, which is far away from your room.

Mammon

He stays all night playing with his phone and gambling, or coming up with schemes to get more money.

He does talk while doing this and may even raise his voice.

He apologizes profusely, and does it loudly as always, you gotta tell him to quiet down.

In other instances you can hear him fighting with Leviathan over trivial things, you have to cover up your ears with your pillow.

You tell them that you couldn't sleep because of them and they feel extremely guilty.

They begin to fight in Levi's room, which is mostly soundproof.

Leviathan

This guy is quiet, like he isn't alive. His whole room is soundproof, because he records himself playing or doing other stuff from time to time.

You can't hear it, but he plays his games really loudly and talks a lot while playing them.

If you hear anything is the sound of distant music, very lightly.

If this bothers you, he will lower the volume, even if he is not used to it.

Satan

He stays his nights usually reading and then going to sleep.

He isn't a bother at all. Very quiet.

Asmodeous

He needs his beauty sleep, so he usually goes to bed pretty early.

Sometimes he comes late from parties, but he showers and then goes to sleep.

Rare times he stays awake, maybe watching videos or recording. He is very soft spoken though, so it probably won't bother you.

Beelzebub

You can hear him walking down the stairs to go to the kitchen.

He does it many times a night. It can be a bit bothersome hearing his footsteps.

You tell him it disrupts your sleep.

So now you only hear him go twice a night.

It seems he brings a lot of food to his room so he doesn't have to do so many travels.

Belphegor

This guy is basically comatose when night comes.

He sleeps all day, but that doesn't seem to stop him from sleeping more.

The only way he may bother you is when he goes to your room and sleeps on top of you.

Just shove him to the floor, he is gonna complain but stay there.

Hey uh... Can anyone help?

I do art commissions (slots open on my kofi) if anyone wants sth. I just really need the help rn tbqh. I have just enough to cover priority items for Lil Bean (for two weeks maybe) but am fucked for everything else because I live in a house with my mother and she's... Rubbish with money. I buy all the food, cover household bills, etc etc. Right now, I'm not getting paid everything I should be (which sucks and I'm being ghosted by the one I'm meant to contact about this which is just gReAt) and it's really, really messing everything up.

It was meant to be sorted. It was meant to be organised. I was meant to be able to do this and not have to panic about finances. Instead... Instead I'm missing support, have to cover bills for a whole household and a baby on less than I should have while handling a dysfunctional parent I can't leave either, and deal with the lack of government support just yet because, ya know, their system moves slow when giving money but hella fast when demanding it.

So yeah.

Commissions. Or donations if you're safely able to do that and don't want art. Just- just help please. Help right now would be great. It really, really would.

“Are you cold?” comes a voice from beside him.

He whips his head around to find the tiefling girl peering up at him. When she doesn’t look away, he glances around to see who she was talking to. “What?” he says.

Arabella points at his arm. “I rub my arms like that when I’m cold. Are you cold?”

“No,” Astarion says, forcing his arms to his side. He clears his throat and looks out over the camp until she wanders off.

She does not wander off.

“Sorry,” she says, though she doesn’t sound it. “I just thought maybe some of you were getting sick.”

“Why would you think that?” he sneers down at her, folding his arms in front of him so he doesn’t fidget.

The girl arches an eyebrow at him. “At least half of you were moaning and groaning partway through the night. I thought it was whatever you all ate. I think Karlach may have been hallucinating. She kept talking to someone who wasn’t there. If you’re not sick, then what?”

Astarion stares. The gears in his head turn, click into place, and he takes a sizable step back.

“No,” he says, putting more space between them. “I am not the one for that talk, no. I’m going to go away now. Do not follow me. Ever again.”

Arabella frowns a little at his retreating back before two of the women walk by, each carrying rations and water toward the fire. The tiefling sighs and says after them, “That’s not what you had last night, is it?”

Shadowheart stops and looks around, confused. “I don’t think so. Why?”

“Don’t want to end up with a bellyache. You all were louder than Mirkon’s snoring until late.”

The half-elf goes immediately pink up to the tips of her ears. “We, erm,” she says. Swallows. “No one was sick. The food is fine.”

“Then what in the hells?” Arabella huffs. “No one tells me anything.”

Shadowheart’s mouth works as she tries to formulate a response.

Before she can get there, Lae’zel says, “I imagine you overheard us having various forms of intercourse, child.”

Very slowly, Shadowheart turns to look at her with wide eyes.

Animation commission I guess...

Um... ha-ha, okay, it has been stuck in my head for the whole month, but if I will keep it any more I will explode, I need to busy my brain even more I'd like to take an animation commission. Like, a fully colored, shaded, with lightning, with in-betweens, with the clean line (and background). Up to 5 seconds depending on what you want to get I guess the price may start from 250$ and be higher or less depending on complexity of the details, character or movement (<- of course everything will be negotiated) I never took such commissions before so please be patient with me since I might spend even months ha-ha (really wanna beat this fear of taking something more complex) But I will do my best since it will be first experimental time for me 1. Payment via Boosty after acceptance of the sketch animation (very rough idea) 2. I think I can draw mostly anything (but won't 18+, guro and I can decline something if I feel like I will not like to do it) 3. You must have a reference of the character, I'm not ready to work with something that doesn't have a ref to start working right away 4. Please, properly think of what you'd like to see, I will not make 3 different rough animations of different ideas because you suddenly had another idea ;~;; 5. Note me in dms if you'd like to take commission... (I'd like to move to discord later since it's more comfortable in here) Uh... I have only this as a more or less proper example (it was based on amazing storyboard by yeye23)

Hello! Honoring the call for a global strike, from now (24/01/2024) until the end of this week (6AM Monday 29/01/2024, Hanoi/Jakarta time (GMT+7)) I am offering one full-body sketch of any character you want for every e-sim you donate.
