what's an appropriate way to say thank you to a coworker who brought you a sample of the cologne your blorbo is [most probably] using????????????

it's a super interesting scent btw!!! from the bottle it's very lemony, a lot of cypress, pine(?), and off the bat it almost smelled a bit like honey on my skin?? there is a lot going on in it, and at first it seemed sweet, but once it calms down, most of this early sweetness is gone (there is still a tiny bit that lingers though, which is really nice), and the bitter, fresh parts with the sea vibes take over. it's very elegant, clean, yet unique. there is a vibrant streak to it, but it smells old school, like a classic. after about an hour it got deeper on me, and more spice appeared, which was very lovely. it also has a very prominent layer of that usual masculine scent most male fragrances have, while still being airy, so it's not that in your face feeling, but the one that really draws you in instead. overall the mediterranean description is spot on. a massive W in my eyes

#deranged!#but to be fair to me!#he is a fragrance nerd and im into this stuff too #and we were discussing some very important matters at work - as you do #and i was like yeah for me there is this one tom ford i want to smell #and he was like oh actually i do have a sample of that... i could bring it to you :)))))#and i said sure thank you ☺️#and then he asked me why so i had to act like a normal person??? like. uhhhh i was just uhhhh talking about it with someone uhhhhh #r #(obviously fragrances smell different on everyone but yeah! this is super nice)#(on my skin after i sprayed it it was incredibly sweet for a sec #but once it dries thats gone)#(what happens after that also depends on the person like most things on me tend to become spicy)#(have to say tho - its a true summer scent and it doesnt last particularly long)#(but i love that it handles the lemon cypress duo so nicely #and the sea vibe as well #because im always wary of these things smelling like air fresheners 💀)#(but there is enough stuff in this to balance that out and give it a richer deeper scent. its hot ill say it.)#(i also have to be careful because my own perfume is very strong and i keep smelling that on myself lmao)

IMAGINE THIS: Lil baby Damian, bored and being not quite old enough to start learning how to use proper weapons (curse these wooden ones, he wants true steel!) is wandering the base. This is not out of the ordinary, he’s the prince after all. What is out of the ordinary is that his shadow, his Akhi, is not here.

Technically, he should be napping, but he woke up and neither his mother or his brother- who is quiet but gentle and isn’t a good speaker (mother said it was from a head injury)- is there. Which is how he finds his way to the Pit, which he’s not supposed to be at. Or at least not alone.

But! His mother and Akhi are there! And- and Akhi is screaming and he’s never heard him scream like that, like he’s in agony- His eyes are green- they were blue, had, had Mother placed him in the Waters-

And then the pool is bubbling- he should be running away, get assistance or something, he’s five, he shouldn’t be running towards it when everything is screaming to flee. But one moment he’s at the doorway, the next he’s clinging to his akhi as something writhes in the Pit, a mighty bellow echoing even as the Shadows take defensive positions.

The water cascades, laps at their feet, splashes everywhere as a scaled form rises from the depths, wings like a bloodied sunset spreading as fur bursts into flames. Crimson eyes glare down at them all, pupils slits as they bare down at his Akhi.

The creature- the dragon- dips its head down, its breath warm as it chuffs at his akhi, wings folding as though it is bowing. His akhi is clinging to Mother, shivering, several scars glowing as they fade and a burst of hair burned white.

I think Danny would be scary af as a water monster.

By that I mean like. Merman AUs have been a thing in this fandom since ye olden days of Deviantart and they’re all about cool character designs and that sorta thing, but I’ve never seen it touched on how “Danny + underwater” has horror potential.

Idk I always thought if someone glimpsed Phantom at the bottom of a lake or ocean they’d see a shadowy, humanoid figure with glowing eyes and a long, leech-like tail that slipped away into the darkness with unnatural speed before they could get a good look. Imagine seeing that in a sea trench. You’d think you encountered a demon.

Also he could prank people so hard by suddenly grasping people’s ankles in his icy hands when they’re swimming.

Does anyone else see this? It can’t be just me.

Sanded and refinished???? Why on earth would you doooo that. If there isn’t a 180-year-old butt print worn into the paint where a dude sat on it for years I don’t want it. If there’s not spilled ink in the till where he kept his writing things I don’t want it. If it’s not scuffed up and begrimed from being kicked around I don’t want it! If he didn’t carefully nail his initials into it I don’t want it!

Wouldn’t have been interested anyway cos I don’t trust the assessment and it looks more like a hope chest / blanket chest to me. No beckets or any indication there ever were any. It’s also made of walnut. That’s not some random whaler’s sea chest. If it’s not a completely beat up gross pine box with the original beckets I Don’t Want It.
