BSD Interviews Masterlist
A new masterlist by yours truly. There's so many interviews out there that I wouldn't dare to aspire to include them all; but since I've been stumbling across a lot of Asagiri interviews after they attended Anime Expo this year, I wanted to at least have one place where I can keep track of the ones I see. If you know any interview I failed to include, please let me know!!
The dates reported here refer to the date the interview was published, and not when it was taken; even then, please take them with a grain of salt. Some rows feature multiple links to dislocated translations of the same interview, so be sure to hover over all the text so you don't miss any piece. Finally, sorry if the list results a little bulky at times, I couldn't seem to come up with a better way to format it.

Disney Announces "D23 Expo Brazil" Slated For November 2024.
The Walt Disney Company is heading to Brazil this November. This will be the first major D23 Expo event to take place in Latin America
This will be the first major D23 event to take place in Latin America, though Disney has ran fan events including a D23 Expo in Japan on 2018. Other events include the Star Wars Celebration to take place across the US & Europe with a Japan edition set for 2025.
The D23 Brazil event will feature unique content from brands across the Walt Disney Company, like Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. So we should expect to see plenty of news regarding Disney films and Disney+ shows come out of this event. The event coincides in one month ahead of Disney Television Animation's 40th anniversary so we could expect panels dedicated to Disney TVA series featuring latino characters like "The Proud Family Louder And Prouder", "Hamster & Gretel", "Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur" & "Primos" and hoping for a showcase of series greenlights of latino lead shows like "SuperStar", a "NDA Preschool Series by Jose Zelaya" & the potential The Proud Family latino-lead spin-off "La Familia Avenúñez".
Brazil has become a hosts for fan events, CCXP, in São Paulo becoming a major event on the calendar, as over 280,000 fans attended the last event. Netflix also ran it’s own TUDUM fan experience there last summer.

Red Hood from DC Comics // Cosplayer: @raijincosplay // Photo: @marcosmedia
I've always had a particular love for characters with tragic backstories which they turned into strengths and what drives them. The Red Hood has a soft place in my heart for these reasons as well as the personality he has.
I have gone through several renditions of the character over the past 5 years I've done him. Tapping into my own creative talents as well as various other artist's creations. I started primarily at the suggestion of a close friend of mine (@8o8darkknight) who gave me a helmet he created. Over time in our group I had a love for the character more and more that I decided to do a version of him all my own using different parts from other artists. A helmet from @godofprops, leather jacket from @lucajackets, body armor from UD replicas along with a few other pieces I've had sitting around and I had something I liked and felt comfortable with. Err well maybe not comfortable but rather looking the part (The entire outfit is an OVEN).
Goodness me the past 5 years with this character has certainly blended together. Aside from our local conventions, I've taken the outfit to Anime Expo and Dragon Con. I've done more sidekicks and obscure characters so I often get mistaken for other characters but it's no problem to me. I believe the best response I've ever gotten was during the 2018 Dragon con parade. There a young child in the crowds that was along the parade route back, recognized my buddy and I as Red Hood and Batman Beyond. When he shook my hand as I walked by I forgot about the heat and all I remember was making the little guy happy. That made my entire day worth it.

I don’t remember how six balls became a meme and at this point I’m afraid to ask
Back in 2018-2019 when I first read the books, there was a group of Anime Expo artists who banded together to make a free MXTX-themed card game set called MXTX The Gathering. The idea was that people who were interested in collecting the cards (each done by an artist in the fandom, including a lot of particularly prominent ones) would find the artists and complete a small mission related to the character for them in exchange for the card (like, the artist who drew the xue yang card asked for a small piece of candy). Honestly it was a really impressive undertaking and a testament to the collaborative p4p spirit of the fandom, and I personally have a strong emotional attachment to it as while I was reading the books I would look back on the cards to imagine the characters in my head.
How does this relate to Six Balls, you ask? Well, the project ultimately ended up having 69 total cards. Who was card 69? That's right, our boy Six Balls!
Tumblr media
Anyway, all of this is to say that Six Balls was always just a somewhat obscure inside fandom joke back in 2019 and kind of just something that you knew about if you read Scum Villain. I'm not sure if SVtwitter still thinks about him regularly, but I'm definitely the only person on SVtumblr who does, so I'm doing all the heavy lifting to make sure no one forgets him ever again.
#sixballssweep
TLDR: Six Balls was common enough knowledge as a funny inside joke among the SV fandom in 2019, but was never really prominent enough to have sticking power the way that some other popular memes here do imo. Basically, I'm the only person on Tumblr who's determined to make everyone remember Six Balls as a huge meme. Thanks to all my followers for joining me on this important crusade, you are the best SixBallheads I could ever ask for.

hi guys i went to miku expo ^_^ the screen controversy is going to annoy me for weeks . the screen is fine personally i love the screen its nice and vivid and they can do whatever they want with the lights now that they dont have to worry about it fucking with the holograms. the hologram thing is a gimmick its still a flat image of anime characters dancing in the end and the outrage all seems a bit silly to me
i still think crunchyroll as a company needs to Die, in general, and there were things that were definitely mishandled. mostly the merch but i'll be honest with you guys i think that shits overhyped expensive things you dont need......... in fairness i do already own a lightstick from 2018, im sure if i didnt have one i wouldve felt very left out but i did not really do much with mine since i was more focused on jamming out with the rest of my body and i didnt want to block the view of the people behind me
the concert itself was awesome, the band totally killed it, there were two of the buffest women ive ever seen fucking shredding it on bass and guitar and i would have been happy watching them alone honestly . (the guys on drums and keyboard were also awesome im just gay) they had a setlist with really great variety between classics and lesser known songs, a great variety of genres, it did a good job of encompassing vocaloid as a whole and i loooove that. i heard some people complain about them not playing more classics for ~the OGs~ or whatever but as somebody who's been into this for 12-13 years i have heard all of those songs Enough and im wayyyy more excited about the vocal synth scene of today
thats my hot takes . i got up at 6 in the morning got rained on and then scorched by the sun to get into front and i will so happily be doing it again next time

THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND HIMSELF— DAN GREEN!
Oh, then there’s KAIBA
Tumblr media
Collect-A-Con convention at Long Beach.
Sat. Aug. 20. 22
_________________________
Funny story; I wasn’t planning on attending. I’m on vacation right now and today I was touring the city when I got a message from my friends informing me that they had an extra VIP ticket for a convention.
Since I’m not from the area they wanted me to explore inside Long Beach’s convention center. So hence I joined them and boy was I SHOOK at the voice actors in attendance. Overall I had a great time, met cool people, and saw so much cool stuff to buy.
It’s been a few years since the last time I attended an anime convention (Anime Expo 2018 traumatized me).
P.S.
Bryce Papenbrook is the definition of a literal Angel. Not even my own wedding will top off those 5 minutes my friends and I had with him.

Queer Angel’s Tea-sis on Darling in the Franxx
Tumblr media
Part 1: Introductions-We’re doing this in parts because tumblr says I typed way too much
Welcome guys, gals, and enpals to Queer Angel’s Tea-sis. A series where I discuss the good, the bad, and the questionable depictions of queer characters in anime and apply a queer lens of analysis. As any anime watcher will tell you, there are anime that start so-so but end well or turn out awful. However, few anime has the distinction of starting near-universally applauded (albeit I saw red flags a mile away) and then slowly take a downturn before nose-diving into a flaming hunk of garbage and exiting through the gift shop. Of course, some queer fans saw the death flags of this show’s narrative in the first three episodes of the show with its positing of a post-apocalyptic world where humans achieve immortality at the cost of reproduction and where they rely on quite literally the naïveté and uneducated horniness of teenagers to defend themselves from a subterranean existential threat. By discussing issues in production, story, and representation/messaging I hereby present the case for the designation of the title of “dumpster fire” to the show: Darling in the Franxx (DITF). (franks? Fran-X-X? who cares?)
Tumblr media
Production
Taking us back to July of 2017, Studio Trigger announced DITF at Anime Expo 2017 revealing that it would be a co-production with A-1 pictures. A-1 is most known for creating the Black Butler adaptation and Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, but in recent years they’ve gained a reputation for making some … lackluster features like the Sword Art Online franchise and Eromanga Sensei (a production that is gross on many levels). However, during the show’s broadcast (January-July 2018), the team working on the project from A-1 changed labels to CloverWorks on April 1st of the same year. This change may or may not have led to issues toward the end of the series. Another issue with the production was a poor choice of director and head writer for the series. While Atsushi Nishigori has some serious animation chops such as being the Chief Animation Director for Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 and key animation credits to multiple A-tier anime, he had almost no writing experience before DITF. Besides, his sole directing credit for a show was…an adaption of the Idolmaster franchise. Now while I will admit to enjoying some very cheap “cute people doing cute things” musical anime, they’re typically not the most intensive story-wise and Idolmaster is in my personal opinion, one of the most brainless and junk-foody of idol anime. This is coming from someone who watched an anime that was basically a recruitment tool made by the corporate monsters behind AKB48 and still enjoys it while trying to pretend it was made in a vacuum universe where creepy entitled male fans and producers don’t exist.
Tumblr media
While I don’t want to place blame solely on Nishigori for the faults of DITF, there were other issues that I will discuss in the later sections, his inexperience in writing and directing beyond single anime episodes certainly didn’t do the show any favors. This is especially considering this was a show heavily publicized by both major studios A-1 and Trigger, was heavily promoted in both Japanese and western anime news media, and was guaranteed to have a lot of eyes on it.
Footnote: Japanese idol culture has the expectation that female idols remain single. The penalty for being caught dating can be getting kicked out of their groups and ostracized by their fans for the crime of dating.
Tumblr media
Note: I’ll slowly start adding my sources to the review as I post the rest of this apparently too long for tumblr review.
Also, the rest of the review is added via reblogs~

Well I'd best explain myself.
Hey. It's milk ✌️
If you know me from being moots elsewhere.. Hi! This is my special interest blog. A real rebloggy blog. For reblogging. And talking about my interests if I feel like it!
Current interests:
In no particular order
- Figures ✨
I collect figures. I have like well over 300 at this point. I don't keep track anymore and this one is slowly but surely subsiding. I will always adore figures and collecting them though. My figures make my room a safe place for my senses. They're all so pretty 💖
- Pokémon 🌈
Oh my god an autistic person who likes Pokémon it's a miracle. Yeah. I started playing Pokémon when I was 3, so 17 years going strong. I originally preferred the toys and cards, but heart gold and soul silver converted me and then I became a mega fan. Tracking releases, learning lore, creating fanart. Mind you I was like 7. There's a deviantart account out there from when I was 6? and yeah that shit Sure Is (you can try and find it I don't really care anymore jfjsjfjg). Anyway!!! Faves are cleffa, whimsicott, blaziken, galvantula, giratina, mimikyu and Registeel. Faves by proxy include lapras, torkoal, lilligant, gengar, rayquaza, mudkip and ledyba. Fave humans are Iono, Lillie (LillieMoon 💖💖), Ingo and Emmet, allister, N, Erika and Elesa. Gen 5 is currently my favourite but I have played gen 5 a LOT the past few years and a lot of my faves are gen 5. I attended both the Pokémon center pop up in London in 2018, and EUIC 2024 in London, also for the Pokémon center lmao.
- Bugs 🐛
Woo big surprise it/they user enjoys bugs. My favourites are moths, exact favourites being hummingbird hawk moths and Madagascan sunset moths. Also a huge fan of weevils, worms, snails, beetles, bees and butterflies! I hope to have a butterfly collection one day in frames :3
Hatsune Miku.
- One piece ☠️
Pretty new one but yeah, I'm caught up so I spend a LOT of time thinking about them damn pirates. Faves in no order are Zoro, Luffy, Usopp, Sanji, Robin, Perona, Mihawk, Law, Corazon, Ace, Yamato, Katakuri, Crocodile, Buggy, Doflamingo, Lucci, Okiku, and Big Mom.
- No but for reals Miku 🎧
Fun fact! I've been a Miku fan since 2010. That's 14 years baby!! My first vocaloid songs that I remember hearing are nyan cat (duh), world is mine, Romeo and Cinderella, butterfly on your right shoulder, gugurekasu, and my all time fave, corruption garden. Absolutely underrated banger. This should be a general vocaloid section really because my favourite cryptonloids are Kaito, Luka and Miku and then my favourite non cryptonloids are Meika Mikoto, Lily, Nekomura Iroha, PoUta, Teto and Luo Tianyi! My favourite producers are PinocchioP, Neru, Giga, Kira, Iroha(sasuki) and OwataP!
I went to Miku expo in London 2018, 2020 and I am going in 2024!!! A selection from my personal wishlist for London 2024 setlist :
Paradichlorobenzene - OwataP 💛
Kokoro - Toraboruta 🧡
Kunoichi Demo Koi ga Shitai - MikitoP 🩵🧡
Digital Girl - Kira 🩵
Break it, Break it! - E.L.V.N ❤️
Non Breath Oblige - PinnochioP 🩵
Erase or Zero - crystalP 💛💙
-Minecraft 🌲
Yeah yeah you can laugh all you want. I've been consuming Minecraft since it came out, and I've played it for 10 whole years. I got pc edition 5 years ago now (INSANE). I love Minecraft. I tend to play just random mods shoved in a folder, but I do play with friends sometimes!!! If anyone ever wants to play please tell me I will kiss you.
NON SPECIAL INTERESTS BUT VERY IMPORTANT TO MY IDENTITY
-Dinosaurs (since I was like 4)
-Sanrio (as long as I can remember)
-Animals
-Anime in general
-Art (lotta A's huh)
-Shitty adult cartoons (south park, family guy, American dad, I have encyclopedic knowledge of all 3 and I can recall every episode. I also know family guy season 4 word for word :3)
-Sitcoms (Actually enjoy: Two and a half men, modern family, young Sheldon kinda, does house count? It should. Encyclopedic knowledge: Big Bang Theory, Two and a half men, Frasier, Friends)
THE "SOMETIMES" SPECIAL INTEREST
- Five Nights at Freddys 🐻
I know, I'm so cool. This game has had its dirty grip on me since it came out. Basically I hate it but every time a new game comes out I can't help but go on a self destructive info absorb and I watch like 6 hour video essays on the new lore and implications. It's fun I like fnaf silly Creachure. My fave is the puppet because I'm non binary haha.
-UNDERTALE ❤️
I pretty much tick all the boxes for middle school anxiety huh. Yeah undertale is a beautiful masterpiece and every few years I'll have a mega "aaaaa undertale" phase where I'll just do nothing but play and consume undertale content. I've played the game through at least like 10 times? A few of each ending. I'm still really bad at sans fight.
-Animal Crossing 🐾
I think everyone should have this one. Occasionally I'll just be like "hm being an adult in the real world isn't really what I wanted right now" so I play animal crossing until oops 6 hours passed. I'll then play for about a week before putting it down again. I tend to stick with new horizons, just because it has the best gameplay. Also BUGS heheshhfksjgh. Fave villagers are Lily, Eugene, Beardo, Judy, Merengue, Lolly, Merry and Marina. I also love Flick and Celeste.
Kinning!!
Yeahhh I kin some bitches. Big deal.
- Yamada Ryo
The big one. She's just me for real for real. I love her for realsies. Also um hi bocchi kinnies.
- Rina Tennoji
She's so fucking autistic. I also struggle with expression (fluctuates between under and over!).
- Kokoro Tsurumaki
Genki. I have made it my personal goal to make people happy in recent years and it's really helped my own mental health
- Madoka Kaname
😳🩷🖤
- Kirby
Small, Round, Pink, Poyo
- Flandre Scarlet
Tiny Creachure clinging to childhood (with a dash of trauma).
- Kanna Kamui
I just, deep down. I experience friendship the exact way Kanna does. I have no concept of boundaries. I will crawl into your bed at night.
- Stocking
Sweets, hypersexual, kinky, goth, chubby. Me.
- Yamato
Oblivious, love friend so much, bad family relationships.
- Kuromi
*cough cough* *straightens paper* Although Kuromi may look and act tough and punk, she is actually very girly and is attracted to good-looking guys. That is all.
And yeah I think that's pretty much it. Obviously this post will get updated as regularly as it needs it. Hope u enjoy my silly content!!!

Disney Editions Deluxe Delays For Fifth Time To Coincide With Disney Television Animation’s Celebration Year On 2024.
The Disney Afternoon: The Making of a Television Renaissance is an upcoming art book by Jake S. Friedman about the history and art of The Disney Afternoon, featuring never before seen art and interviews with veteran Disney Television Animation creators.
However since it’s announcement 3 years ago, the book has been delayed for 4 times despite being completed, according to the author the book is complete but Disney has been very hesitant on getting it delayed,,and today we have more sad news depending on who you ask.
The Book has been delayed to September 24th 2024,however this day is super important as Disney could be holding this book to celebrate the big anniversary year for Disney TVA.
In 2024, Disney Television Animation will turn 40 years to be funded as well as the debut of Disney Television Animation 100th Series on that year our best guess is that it was delayed beacuse of this, to coincide with the year where Disney TVA celebrates it’s anniversary and their first milestone.
However another big speculation is that also  Disney held this book beacuse they plan to expand the book with a section dedicated to the “modern era” of The Disney Afternoon of 2020-beyond with a dedicated section for the 2020s shows from 2018-2024 with the modern lineup (The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse,Big City Greens,The Ghost And Molly McGee,The Chibiverse,Hamster & Gretel,Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur,Kiff,Primos,Hailey’s On It,Cookies & Milk,The Witchverse,Rhona Who Lives By The River,Darkwing Duck Reboot, Zombies The Re-Animated Series and the new Disney Channel and Disney+ Shows slated for 2024-2025 who will get unveiled at D23 Expo 2022.)
Disney knew that this could be a perfect opportunity to make a book celebrating the past and future of The Disney Afternoon and needed to wait to see the full 2024-2025 lineup to make that section of the book again this is just speculation behind this big delay

When the Disney Afternoon premiered in 1990, kids tossed their backpacks aside to watch their favorite Disney television characters. Unlike with feature films, these stars had a new adventure every weekday, and their audience journeyed with them on a daily basis. Throughout the '80s and '90s, Disney raised the bar with a lineup of innovative, high-quality television animation. The characters were endearing, the writing was clever, and the art was exceptional. Those who grew up with these characters have continued their love affairs for shows like Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, TaleSpin, and the irrepressibly beloved DuckTales, deep into adulthood. For the first time, learn the history of the Disney Afternoon shows, read interviews from the creative teams, and revel in rare, behind-the-scenes artwork, plus get the full making of story of the modern-day DuckTales series and its legacy connections to the past.

Zaprezentowano pierwszy pełny zwiastun Solo Leveling
Hej! Do obsady dołączyła Haruna Mikawa w roli Aoi Mizushino (siostra Shuna Mizushino - w japońskiej wersji to zmienione imię Sung Jinwoo).
Za kilka kluczowych elementów anime odpowiedzialni będą:
Projekt postaci drugoplanowych: Chiaki Furuzumi
Projekt potworów: Hirotaka Tokuda
Projekt rekwizytów: Sotaro Shiraishi
Reżyser ds. sztuki: Yasuhiro Okumura
Kolorystyka: Naomi Nakano
VFX: Daichi Iseki
CG: Toshitaka Morioka
Grafiki ruchome: Hiromu Ōshiro z Production I.G
Montaż: Yūji Kondō
Reżyser dźwięku: Ryō Tanaka
Jeśli chodzi o główną obsadę, to w roli Sung Jinwoo (w wersji japońskiej Shun Mizushino) wystąpi Taito Ban.
