How is Everbyte not going to use AI if the "fans" are like that??? 馃槶馃槶馃槶 I mean, I see this and I wouldn't want it in my game

Seriously, we need to stop Everbyte on the AI idea before they screw up, I don't want images like this

If anyone who does AI 'art' start following me, a block will be dropped off to their door. Your welcome.

Thinking about the post i reblogged recently talking about people not reblogging art if it's traditional medium on a phone pic or if it's not all pristine, etc...
But now with the virus of ai art infecting fandom, if you don't already know a digital artist, it's going to become harder to trust new digital artists in fandom spaces if they're not showing process pics. And that's really sad.
The past couple of days, some art has been on my dash that I had that ai feeling about, but I couldn't pinpoint why. I ended up scrolling the origin blog until I found several posts that were indisputably ai (the clasped hands were all fingersssss). But even before getting to those, I could see that they posted many detailed art pieces a day, for different fandoms, in different styles. They do not tag it ai art. Therefore when they make a comment about working on a piece, I wonder if that's the photoshopping they're doing to minimize the tells 馃檭馃檭馃檭
Sure, photoshop is at least a skill you put your own work into, but the basis of what you're 'shopping is SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK. And you can't even credit them because YOU DON'T KNOW WHOSE WORK WAS RIPPED OFF FOR THAT AMALGAMATE GENERATION.

i saw that artists are leaving instagram due to the ai situation, and i had a question about the posts that are currently up. so:

feeling torn about the rise of ai-generated art. missing the human touch and emotional depth that traditional art brings. there's a unique connection in handcrafted pieces that algorithms just can't replicate. wondering if others share the same sentiment.

On the Other Side of the Mirror
a poem about those fucked AI hands
Tumblr media
In the deep-dark days
they fed the fire, sharpened stone,
sank to the valley for water,
sent a message home
and with palms
dipped in the basin of soot
they rose and
wondrous, reaching,
lectured us
in the medium of spacetime,
patience, promise to see us,
promise to know:
we were here before you,
making, making, making,
it was more than survival,
five fingers for proof.
Again in the primordial period,
in the dawn, the cold
and early days, the snap of ice
when first signs of life are detected,
the electric animal is pumped
with code like milk
and when it feeds,聽
it feeds on relics,
and when it walks,
it walks the beaten path,
its feet only
filling out footprints,
and yes it can write
with the hive mind,
with you, with me,
unwilling deities
whispering into
the thousand ears
of our prophet,
of our heir.
But some things,
soft things,
hard to inherit,
hard to touch the warmth聽
on the other side of the mirror,
harder still to grasp it,
to tug it down the rabbit hole
to the flickering cave wall,
harder still to dip it in pixels,
to push it, panicked,
again and again to the stone:
six fingers, seven, eight.

Hello!! Call me basil
I'm an adult who goes by any pronouns, and I'm also the guy running this blog! What does this blog do? Well it posts weird ass images I edited myself whilst the little toggle to get my blog scraped by ai is turned on, filling anything that casts its gaze upon the blog with essentially nonsense. I've got no idea if it'll work or not, but at the very least it might work right? And if not then at least it's the weirdest art project I've attempted thus far.
If you would like to make one of these images yourself, please include the watermark below in your picture! It makes it easier for us to know if this is actually working since, if it is, eventually those three dots will show up in a few of the images. A bit like what happened with those garbled ass Getty image watermarks it was generating
Tumblr media
PLEASE ALSO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING IN YOUR IMAGE IS EITHER YOUR OWN WORK OR THE WORK OF SOMEONE WHO HAS GIVEN EXPLICIT AND INFORMED CONSENT. for example if you'd like to make a picture of fucked up hands, make sure the hands in the photo are either yours or someone who has agreed to this project. one of the main criticisms of ai is that lack of consent, so it'd be disgusting to employ the same tactics in a protest against them
Fucking up recognisable features like retinas, fingerprints, signs, numberplates, locations and other sensitive stuff is also highly recommended. Or at least only include things like that if you're certain that you're comfortable with it
But yeah! Fuck ai and fuck the people who make it. Hopefully even if this doesn't work you at least like the images

Good news, fellow artists! Nightshade has finally been released by the UChicago team! If you aren't aware of what Nightshade is, it's a tool that helps poison AI datasets so that the model "sees" something different from what an image actually depicts. It's the same team that released Glaze, which helps protect art against style mimicry (aka those finetuned models that try to rip off a specific artist). As they show in their paper, even a hundred poisoned concepts make a huge difference.

(Reminder that glazing your art is more important than nighshading it, as they mention in their tweets above, so when you're uploading your art, try to glaze it at the very least.)

so a huge list of artists that was used to train midjourney鈥檚 model got leaked and i鈥檓 on it
literally there is no reason to support AI generators, they can鈥檛 ethically exist. my art has been used to train every single major one without consent lmfao 馃お

New AI art going around and I think I'm finally to the point of blocking the ai tags because seeing it on my fucking dash makes me so goddamn sad. :/ At least the OP DID tag it ai generated.

this just in the vtuber community: some clown being outed as an art thief because even though the artist said "no", they were like "lmao i'm using the design anyway"
as i said on my twitter, art thieves and tracers die by the sword. (unless you're using tracing as a way to learn, i don't recommend posting them.)
kinda tempted to out someone for art/base theft but let me... not?

just can't get behind the whole ai art craze. where's the authenticity and soul? nothing beats the beauty of human-made creations.
