Finally figured out what’s the painting that reminded me of this Taylor Swift photo from the Grammys 🥹

Hi Daisie,
do you know if any of your followers has access to the full article?
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/music/news/harry-styles-album-year-grammys-speech-beyonce-white-privilege/
Tumblr media
This doesn’t happen to people like me very often.” So said 29-year-old Harry Styles, accepting his Grammy Award for Album of the Year on Sunday night. Most normal people assumed that by “people”, Styles meant a boy born outside of Birmingham and brought up in between Crewe and Manchester, far from the bright lights of London and the Brit School. But the internet is not full of normal people, and outrage ensued, as critics claimed that Styles was ignoring his white privilege – and, worse, having a pop at Beyoncé.
Styles also drew ire by arguing that “there’s no such thing as ‘best’ in music”, and refusing to say that he thought Beyoncé would win, instead saying merely that “you never know with this stuff”. The critics didn’t hold back. “‘This doesn’t happen to people like me’,” wrote the American podcaster Sam Sanders, “is the most white privilege-iest thing to ever be uttered at an awards show ever for all time [sic].” “Beyoncé continues to be boycotted, without AOTY [Album of the Year] and used as a token to disguise the Academy’s racism,” complained the pop-culture website Pop Tingz.
Styles may have had a wobbly night – not least because the turnstile on which his dance number was meant to be performed rotated in the wrong direction – but an attack on “Queen B” this was not. To most Britons, Styles’s accent is the clue that he’s different from many a young London silver-spoon star; yet this subtlety is almost entirely lost on Americans. True, that Cheshire accent has been muddied by his recent attempt at a transatlantic twang while filming Don’t Worry Darling.
And having a finance director for a father hardly puts you in league with British pop’s history of working-class heroes, from The Beatles to Oasis. Yet these days the industry has changed, and Styles is quite clearly different to the likes of Florence Welch or Marcus Mumford, who seem to fit into the world of fame as if they were born to it.
We’ve been here before. In 2019, when Sam Fender, born in North Shields, dared to explain why “white privilege” sounded like a difficult concept to the white men with whom he grew up, he was labelled tone-deaf and racist. This is the success of the “white privilege” label: admit it and you’re damned, deny it and you’re deluded. But in importing a particularly American brand of racial politics, discussion about success within the British arts only becomes skewed.
Unlike in the States, class is a greater defining factor of success in Britain than race or gender are – a fact that many commentators seem to want to forget. “The debate raging online about where Styles sits on the class spectrum is a fascinating insight into Britain’s class obsession,” wrote one writer in The Guardian. That sound you can hear is a nation of working-class music-lovers choking on their own scorn.
Styles, in truth, is both right and wrong. Poor boys and girls have often made it to the top, though often that has been on account of the sheer tenacity of their talent. Barry Keoghan is currently flavour of the month in Ireland for his performance in Martin McDonagh’s film The Banshees of Inisherin, despite his extremely tough and poverty-stricken upbringing, which involved going in and out of the care system.
Bands have often capitalised on class difference, too – admitting whether you were an Oasis or a Blur fan was as much a class signifier as the tea-vs-supper debate, and it did neither band any commercial harm. Some fans have also pointed out, amusingly, that Adele, who was also up for Album of the Year at the Grammys, was born and raised in Tottenham.
A working-class hero Harry Styles may not entirely be, but he certainly isn’t a white-privilege villain either. And we would all do well to remember that awards ceremonies, and the speeches made at them, may be full of glitz and glamour, but they bear little relevance to the politics of the real world – or to the real people who live out there.

The 1
The 1 is talking to an ex and updating them on her life, we got to see it reenacted at the 2021 Grammys when Folklore won AOTY:
youtube
The 1 was written between March and July 2020. It had not been long since Harry and Taylor saw each other, we know of at least at Ed Sheeran's Wedding in September. Lover and Fine Line (on Taylors 30th Birthday) came out since then, 2019 had been a big year.
In the long pond sessions Taylor and Aaron talked about how it reflects the whole album. Which is interesting when Taylor also sang in Gold Rush that her mind turns Harry's life “into folklore”.
I see The 1, Cardigan and Exile as one conversation (I'll get to Betty). From pleasantries, expressing support and then rehashing their end.
Lyrics
[Verse 1] I'm doing good, I'm on some new shit Been saying "yes" instead of "no" I thought I saw you at the bus stop, I didn't though I hit the ground running each night I hit the Sunday matinée You know the greatest films of all time were never made
In the long pond sessions Taylor said the opening line has a double meaning, that the sound of folklore was a new direction and that she was being open to new experiences personally.
Taylor has a similar line to the bus stop, in Cardigan, which is almost a continuation of The 1, “I knew I'd curse you for the longest time / Chasin' shadows in the grocery line” both capture that feeling of subconsciously looking for someone
Taylor says she’s busy, hits the ground running and fits as much as she can in. Ironic lines in a pandemic. The matinee line sounds like she made time to see Dunkirk, but maybe that's just me.
“The greatest films of all time were never made.” I love this line, she’s reflecting that their relationship was cut short. She also refers to it as a film later in the conversation in Exile. The wildest dreams music video also refers to them as Taylor and Burton
[Pre-Chorus] I guess you never know, never know And if you wanted me, you really should've showed And if you never bleed, you're never gonna grow And it's alright now
In the pre-chorus Taylor reflects on the different views of their relationship in 1989 compared to HS1. They have both said they don’t communicate in person what they can in song.
'If you never bleed your never gonna grow' there is a similar line in Woman on HS1: "he’s right where I should, where I should be but you’re making me bleed”. The reference here is that Harry should have shared his feelings sooner, or then but didn't.
However, in Cruel Summer however, Taylor said "And if I bleed, you'll be the last to know, oh" so it seems mutual to hide their feelings.
In Olivia, Harry said “This isn't the stain of a red wine, I'm bleeding love”
It's alright is a reference to Fine Line's "We'll be a fine line / We'll be alright"
[Chorus] But we were something, don't you think so? Roaring twenties, tossing pennies in the pool And if my wishes came true It would've been you In my defense, I have none For never leaving well enough alone But it would've been fun If you would've been the one (Ooh)
I love “roaring 20’s” like, it refers to both her age and “it was so Gatsby that year” from TIWWCHNT, referring the party 1989 era before the gates shut in Reputation. 20 is a Haylor theme also
Also tossing pennies and wishes reminds you of I wish you would.
ME! Also includes “I can never leave well enough alone”
Taylor has described their relationship as 'like the mall before the internet' in Coney Island, an incredibly fun place.
[Verse 2] I have this dream you're doing cool shit Having adventures on your own You meet some woman on the internet and take her home We never painted by the numbers, baby But we were making it count You know the greatest loves of all time are over now
I love the second verse, she is hoping that her muse is living a happy new life. To me 'adventures on your own' conjures up Harry's post One Direction career. Which it may have been with his second album freshly released.
'We never painted by the numbers' is similar to 'you painted my nights a colour I have searched for since' in Question..?
[Pre-Chorus] I guess you never know, never know And it's another day waking up alone [Bridge] I, I, I persist and resist the temptation to ask you If one thing had been different Would everything be different today?
Taylor has a few songs that explore Haylor What Ifs:
Cardigan "I knew you would haunt all of my what-if's"
INTHAF Imagines what if they had met as children, and
Suburban Legends imagines a fantasy of them surprising the whole school in a 1950's gym, as a metaphor for being a power couple at a high profile event.
Slut! “Aquamarine, moonlit swimmin' pool / What if all I need is you?”
We were something, don't you think so? Rosé flowing with your chosen family And it would've been sweet If it could've been me In my defense, I have none For digging up the grave another time But it would've been fun If you would've been the one (Ooh)
More Haylor rosé since Maroon: "Your roommate's cheap-ass screw-top rosé, that's how".
Digging up the grave also reminds us of the opening of Look at what you made me do, where Taylor emerges as a Zombie wearing a dress similar to the one she wore in Out of the Woods.

Taylor has clearly not expecting AOTY win and I think that’s why she revealed her new album when she won pop vocal album me thinks
yeah true I also didn't think grammys would give her aoty so soon (they play weird games sometimes) but I also think she genuinely announced it because of the 13th grammy. she was for sure nervous though and pausing a bit that made my heart stop

jealousy at its finest is taylor haters 😭😭
"she's a billionaire though" what they meant to say is "im angry that she made it big and i have no money and am unemployed because i'm too lazy to work for my money like so many others do and like she did herself."
"she's only a feminist when it's convenient to her/billionaires cant be feminists" so supporting women's charity, donating to sa survivors, making songs about the patriarchy, and speaking out about women's oppression isn't feminism? if anything, being a feminist in this day and age is an inconvenience. it just means more hate. and if you're gonna say billionaires can't be feminists, at least back up that claim with evidence. oh wait! you don't have any.
"she dated a minor" 17 and 19. 2 years off. if the man was the 19-year-old and she was the 17-year-old, no one would give a shit, and her relationship with john mayor is perfect proof of that.
"her carbon emissions" they're not the best, but they're also not the worst. what about kim k? what about travis scott? why don't we talk about them? oh, because you just want to find any way to hate on her? that makes sense. not only that, but no one gives two flying fucks about the economy until tay's involved. if the 8 billion people on this earth actually cared about its well being, do you think the world would be this deep in shit to start?
"only 100k to the survivors? that's like me donating 10 dollars" AT LEAST SHE DONATED AT ALL??? it might be 10 dollars to her, but its still ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS to the people she donated it to. be so fr. would kanye west give even a penny to that family? a dime? no. he wouldn't.
"she's mediocre." AOTY four times. person of the year. 13 grammys. number 1 artist in all of the world. billionaire. do you think she'd even have ONE grammy to begin with if she was "mediocre"? im sorry, that woman won AOTY at 18, and her records sold for fearless have never been beaten. that was SIXTEEN years ago. SIXTEEN. not only that but she's compared to SHAKESPEARE HIMSELF.
"she isnt a good vocalist. beyonce is better." who in their right fucking mind said she was better than beyonce in the first place. i'll wait. anyone can admit that shit because it's true. but if beyonce were a better lyricist and singer OVERALL, she'd be, 1, more known, 2, worth more financially, 3, her songs would be WAY more famous, and 4, more fans. it is so rare that i see a diehard beyonce fan. sorry. it's also the literal way they're friends and have no bad blood (yknow it used to be mad love) and you guys just want to pit them against each other for absolutely no reason other than to argue.
time to get a reality check and stop hating on women who have no reason to be hated on 😘😘

Finally got a chance to write a few thoughts about Lana last night. She looked like a completely different person than she did just a few months ago. She dyed her hair lighter, had a stunning outfit and was clearly glowing with happiness and serving face with that makeup. It reminded me of vintage Lana. Arriving on a motorcycle was very fitting.
Lana headlining Coachella seems like she got a sort of glow and confidence back. Or at least she’s taking in this celebratory moment for her as an artist who has shaped pop culture for the better part of almost 13 years.
She has said in the past that shes not an entertainer, shes a singer. So doing Coachella may not translate. Those who get it, get it. To some, her set may have not hit, but until you experience Lana live and feel the energy, you probably never will.
This was one of the most put together shows I’ve seen from her lately that truly showed her range, her vast discography and ethereal beautiful melancholic soundscapes she dreams up. The vocals were amazing and you could hear them (mostly - there were a few times she had to ask Byron to adjust the volume). The stage set was complete and both Lana and the dancers seemed prepared to move around it and it showed. Even with the quiet transitions the prospect of what would happen next still hid in the shadows of suspense.
I do believe she wants to do her best at every show and she loves to see the fans. But don’t expect a high energy set. Fans know what they’re getting and they continue to sing every word faithfully. I will say there was room to add a few more songs with a beat lol, she’s definitely got them!
And don’t get me started on her bringing out Billie to perform Ocean Eyes and Video Games… just INSANELY AMAZING. The chemistry. I love how much they love each other. There’s a lot of Lana’s influence in Billie, and they really seem like kindred spirits.
And Jack coming out to perform Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have - But I have It with a stunning hologram of Lana and then he just leaves. Very on brand.
You have to watch with headphones and the volume turned up to experience her live band and vocals and really immerse yourself.
Also, the odes to her past in the video that played before ride and people screaming at certain parts— it truly captured the cultural impact Lana has made in the last decade.
Ever since Born To Die came out in 2012 she has shaped popular culture with her unique musical style and tone. Her voice and the nostalgic production combined transported us to another dimension and we’ve all been different since and you felt that last night. The impact she’s had.
While being one of the most influential artists and lyrical poets of our generation, Lana has often been overlooked for her contributions to music, songwriting and setting trends. She has been nominated for 11 Grammys, included several AOTY, she has not won one. I find that crazy.
Anyways, the last song was Young and Beautiful and after she exited on a motorcycle to a Gatsby-esque Jazz outro and fireworks… you know the vintage lover in me got chills to the sound of a transition into an instrumental version of Heartaches by Al Bowlly, and it slowly drowned out (you just have to hear it… saw someone say it was backrooms music — which not not true) and I love it.
So proud of you Lana! I’d definitely say to tune in again next weekend for more surprises 🤍

I do not believe for a second that swiffers don’t know who Courtney love and Kurt cobain are. The overlap with them and the “true crime girlies” is massive and they’re self proclaimed music experts. There’s no way they don’t know one of musics most infamous couples. And it’s babyish how dismissive and willfully ignorant they are to discount someone “they’ve never even heard of” in the first place.
to be fair the craziest crop of swifties causing all this mayhem are like born after the 2008 recession. like they’re 16 now. they genuinely do not know who they are and their impact/importance in pop culture. that’s why they act so babyish cause they’re still literal teens.
HOWEVER adult swifties are overgrown middle school girls who somehow got to adulthood without being forced to emotionally mature beyond the 7th grade, which is why they love TS so much. their dismissiveness and refusal to learn/grow simply echoes their queen’s own.
Swifties know JACKSHIT about music. they genuinely believe taylor deserves 4 AOTY’s and have the audacity to compare her to musical legends who run laps around her talent wise. Their ignorance of Kurt Cobain as a musician (because like you said, they are true crime voyeurs and mustve watched something or know of his death) is reflective of their insulated music taste which starts and ends with Taylor.
also if youre an anon and you want your own tag send in an emoji so i can assign it to you!!

I am no fashion-educated person, but to me one of the reasons I (whispers) *also prefer The Incident to The Grammys* is because The Incident took itself less seriously, yk? Like there's only so serious you can be at the VMAs, you're wearing a silly lil bodysuit. It's fun! I think she knows it a little silly. But the Grammys.... I fear she is so serious. And yes it's a lovely Schiaperelli gown itself, but why is she trying to be so serious with her teenage-goth-wannabe hair and choker 😭
(I thought I had nothing left to say re: the Incident vs The Grammys but here I am) Like, the Incident will be pictured every so often (much to Sarah's dismay) but The Grammys is a big deal!!! Taylor my love is out here winning her 13th Grammy and breaking records with 4th Album of the Year! This is serious business, the world is watching and remembering these photos! And you've chosen to... do that to you hair and jewelry I see I see...
---
This is absolutely 100% true in that sense that the MTV VMAs are, frankly, an award show where you can get away with an Incident romper thing (or a sequin houndstooth elasticized jogger set - come what may!). But the Grammys are the biggest night in the music industry! And Taylor knew she had the chance that evening to make history! And that if she did this particular dress would be slideshowed forever with her other trio of AOTY wins! She knew that and she opted to style herself in that fashion and to look forwards with a kickstart of a new era in that dedicated of a way on that night of all nights! And that's ... a choice!
I think that's perhaps why there were more ~feelings~ about Tortured Poets being announced at the Grammys vs Midnights being announced at the MTV VMAs purely because of the prestige, the format, the weight those two very different music awards shows carry. And you comport yourself and style yourself in very different ways at those two events! Imo!

Hi, I know you're resting now, I wanted to share my opinion about the album. I noticed that there are five tracks in Face and they are so similar to the 5 stages of acceptance. What do you think about it? Perhaps my question is incoherent, I am writing it through a google translate.
*
Ask 2: FACCE IS SAURRR GOOODD!! 😭😭😭 WHEN IS THE REVIEW BPP?
*
Ask 3: Which remix is your fav?? I think beans and toast won this won
*
Ask 4: Bpp Imma need to go to SK and hold Jm hostage…I need him to make more music…Im going crazy Hes not my bias or my bias wrecker but hes wrecked me…I cant believe that he made my soty my aoty…I just wish the album had more songs…Like crazy is crazy good!!!!
*
Ask 5: BPP, hi!
I was hoping JM would show us a bit of his true self in his new album. And did he, huh? That MV and song reeks of homosexuality. I know it's simething ARMYs do not talk about. But... What do you think?
*
Ask 6: So did Jimin really end kpop for you BPP? Which song is you’re favourite? ☺️ He’s blown my mind at least. It’s Instant AOTY for me!!!!!! I hope Like Crazy is promoted really harf because I think it has really good potential It’s my favorite in the album ☺️
***
Hi Anon(s),
Before we get into it...
Tumblr media
...I have a bone to pick with Jimin.
I don’t understand what Jimin thinks he’s doing not putting Letter on Apple Music or Spotify. Like, why does he think that’s a good idea? Does anybody know? This song is so perfect - Jimin's lush vocals harmonizing with Jung Kook's is beautiful - Letter needs to be available on as many platforms as possible. See, these are the kind of choices the tannies make that just causes me to laugh because yeah these hidden songs are 'gifts to fans' but it's also a crime against all that is good and honest in this world to keep it off channels those fans will gladly pay for? The fact Ddaeng is still stuck in Soundcloud purgatory is reason enough to kidnap Bang PD's nephew and sell him to the mafia, far as I'm concerned. The only reasons I haven't done it yet because kidnapping is illegal in my country, the Cosa Nostra require a blood oath, and Jin wouldn't like delays to his game update.
Letter is Promise all grown up, a little wiser and more developed, and I hope in every subsequent album Jimin releases for the rest of his career, that there is a version of Promise, a song that feels like Jimin - comforting, easy, warm, simple, and beautiful. Listening to it I'm so thankful Jimin exists. (Yes Jimin, I'm that fan who is simply happy you're alive - Pixid reference, so for anyone who hasn't watched it yet I've linked it here).
*
FACE is a solid 8.1 / 10.
Tumblr media
(Are you streaming?)
It's a great thing Jimin has been so forthcoming in talking about the process and his reasons for making the album, the songs on it, as well as how he had key input on the choreography. I strongly suggest everyone watch his live (linked here - I should probably also mention the English subs aren't up yet, just FYI). Jimin has been very clear about what he's communicating in FACE so I won't tarry on it.
My favourite songs in order of least to most:
5) Like Crazy
4) Face Off
3) Letter
2) Alone
1) Set Me Free Pt 2
Something about each song in reverse order with the exception of Letter - for Letter, see mafia case above.
Set Me Free Pt 2
This is the best song on the album.
Alone
There are two reasons why SMF Pt 2 comes out on top over Alone though Alone in many ways is the superior song. (1) The production (including the use of autotune) in SMF Pt 2 is incredible, and (2) because Alone ends on too disturbing a note for me to dwell on, knowing that it has come from Jimin.
Everything about Alone is perfect. The way the song begins with piano, then guitar, and then drums. Jimin’s voice. That man’s voice seriously fucks with my head. It’s the way I feel every time Yoongi twitches his voice when he’s being particularly nasty. Or anytime I hear Joon’s adlibs in a song. Or what happens in my head every time Hoseok slathers his vocal inflections with grit. I don’t know if I’m making sense, but what I mean to say is that Jimin’s voice during the entire song feels like a gift. It draws you in. And then you hear what he’s singing about...
It’s heartbreaking.
I can’t abide the thought that this is something Jimin went through recently, and that I relate in a very personal way. The emotions expressed in Alone feel too raw, too scary, and too real, and while that could point to a worrying state of mind in its author, I think Jimin’s idiosyncratic bluntness and clarity of speech in Alone shows the state of someone who still reflects often, is self-aware and also resilient.
Still, it’s a sad song to hear, an even sadder one to sing, but it is one of the most powerful and beautiful songs I’ve ever heard.
Tumblr media
(He's a problem)
*
Face Off
I appreciate the vision Jimin had for this song. Starting with the gag of him playing the Flea Waltz in the intro - the song the members have teased Jimin with repeatedly by saying it's the only song Jimin knows how to play on the piano - Jimin used that common (good-natured) taunt and then weaponized it in a song putting those who have crossed him in their place. It's clear by the second verse when Jimin raps that he's pushing himself to express what he means in as many ways as possible. He's challenging himself and sending a message, and that I can respect.
Anon in ask 1 who talked about the album showing the five stages of grief, I agree sort of. If we were to assign a response to each song, I'd say...
Face Off is Anger
Like Crazy - Denial (though bargaining works too)
Alone - Depression
Letter - Acceptance
Tumblr media
(PJM2 will be madness)
*
Like Crazy
This is my least favourite song on the album because it never really develops, but it's also not supposed to. Jimin has said he wanted to express a dreamlike state in Like Crazy, and he does that impeccably well. The song leans into its 80s groove, heavy padded synths, something reminiscent of if Foster The People and The Weeknd made a song together. The thing about dreamlike states is that they lull your mind, and one easy way to create that effect is repetition and monotony. Think about why someone trying to hypnotize someone else tries to keep their voice steady, calm, and monotone. So, many times listening to Like Crazy I wanted the song to go somewhere, to become fuller or less predictable, but that would kill the trance so it didn't. While it's not my preference, I can appreciate Jimin's commitment to the idea of the song.
It's a great track even then. I sometimes listen to it right after Big Man, Little Dignity by Paramore.
Speaking of Like Crazy, there's been much ado about about Jimin's sexuality, queer-coding, etc in the song and so Anon in ask 5, I see where you're coming from.
Jimin is queer. I don't know what else there is to say about it or why even the mere possibility of Jimin being queer should generate the amount of fuss/discourse it does. It's possible I'm wrong of course, but like you Anon I don't think I saw Jimin even stand straight once during the entire MV. There’s not a single straight thing about this guy.
For the sticklers, perhaps the more diplomatic way of saying it is, 'many of us strongly suspect Jimin is queer.'

(What a stunner)

Jimin seems very pleased with his first album and this is my favourite thing about the last few weeks. Watching him for the last nine years, it's gratifying to see how he has fully embraced himself, his limitations, his pride, his vices, his virtues... Jimin is a strong tenacious person and in making this album, he turned that intensity inwards, towards learning to love himself. The result is five great tracks, and I'm eager to see what more he will show us in the future.

Beyonce’s country song is a lesson to Taylor
So true. I love the duet with Miley but the entire album is a work of high definition art, man. When you compare this Beyonce work to Taylor's albums, none of them come close. It's a fucking great album.
Well, I'm afraid we're gonna watch her loose the AOTY next year in favor of the album missing a possessive apostrophe after 's.

(tw: long ass ask lmao) when i stopped being a fan, i was really confused about his level of fame. in the stan bubble i think it definitely seems like he’s more famous than he actually is. he gets these opportunities that you’d think only a HUGE star would get (first male vogue cover, opening the grammys, double duty on snl, met gala chair, residencies at msg and forum, aoty), but he’s not really part of the mainstream the way taylor swift, the weeknd, drake etc are. he’s mostly ever talked about amongst his own fanbase and not much he does moves out of that bubble. i realized later that he only gets those opportunities because of the connections he has-like literally you can find a connection to irving azoff with most of those “opportunities.” he gets to do all those things, his team has all these celebrities tell the same stories about him(always using the same wording), he has a relationship for the public to focus on during each album cycle, and articles trying to convince you he’s a rockstar and super humble (that’s a big thing i realized, because i always felt like i was being gaslit with all these people calling him a “huge rockstar” when he’s really a mid popstar and i was like wait, i am being gaslit by his team lmao), but it’s all fake and manufactured. those things can only go so far and that’s why he’s not as famous as his team tries to convince the world he is. i mean i really have no better way of describing it than they’re gaslighting the public about his legendary rockstar status until it really becomes true (it won’t).
it's all marketing and sales. they tell us he's a huge star so we think he's a huge star. his people did a great job of that. his fans think it's all him, and act like his management even hinder or hurt his success and progress.
harry is not authentic enough, not talented enough, not creative enough, not smart enough, to make this thing work for him. if he were those things his career would be less weird and would feel more real. hell, he'd probably have done more authentic things like touring real clubs and bars like a "rockstar", being more authentic in public, learning to dress himself in whatever he likes, having actual interesting relationships with people who don't have the wit talent and intelligence of a puddle.
so he does have this name recognition of a major superstar. but not the music recognition because the music is secondary to the sales pitch. the music exists to be on playlists and to be inoffensive 70s dad rockish stuff that reviewers love, but that won't make a real social imprint because it's wall paste that could've been given to any generic popsinger doing his thing.
that's why the superbowl is still out of touch for him. he doesn't have the hits. he doesn't have the charisma, personality, the stage presence and creativity, to make anything that spectactular. he exists to be a dude who takes his top off in front of girls in pink feather boas, sell them a fuckload of slave labour merch, and live off the millions. he does not exist to put out music people actually listen to outside of his base.
