bad batch fanfic request

the ending of tbb finale was low key underwhelming so this is a call and cry for help for fanfics to give us better endings.

cuz i need a better ending for everyone 😭 as in; i need to know what happened to cody, i need to see echo and crosshair talking about hands, i need to know where echo is in rebels, i need crosshair to make another sarcastic remark, i need CX-2 to have been tech. ok not necessarily all that but tech has to be like alive man. like. i’m not fine. we’re not fine. and that ending was so underwhelming and disappointing in some ways. like. they built all that hype up for us to think tech’s hiding out as a clone assassin or in tantiss and boom he’s gone. like i love the bad batch to pieces and the ending is fantastic but it was honestly quite rushed feeling in the way they left a lot of plots unfinished. so petition for more clone content with more closure but that’s impossible i guess so let’s get some fanfics please?

like:

letting CX-2’s helmet fall off or get kicked off or whatever would have taken like two dramatic seconds, and like 3 minutes to slowly pan from the helmet bouncing on the floor up to the looks of absolute horror on Crosshair and Hunter’s faces, stretching it out because pain! and pans from like legs or body up to Tech’s scarred but still recognisable face. we all start screaming and crying and dying because they both rush up to him and try to save him but it’s too late and Tech delivers some painful soul-crushing line that hurts more than “When have we ever followed orders?” and you see all three of them cry for a vulnerable moment before they have to start fighting again and we all die while trying to watch the show or maybe some of us pause it to cry. anyway it would have taken a total of like 3 minutes (imagine it in your head and time it). you could like cut out a few seconds of other random stuff (maybe Rampart’s yapping or whatever) or just ADD A FEW MINUTES. and everyone would be so much more satisfied with the ending even though our souls would be 100% crushed but at least all that leading on wouldn’t have just been a red herring.

so please. what on earth Filoni. they better release a deleted scene or something.

Another day, another 'stop being weird about allegations' post. This is about Dream, minecraft youtuber, twitch streamer, that minor character on the Dream SMP.

The archive I have linked includes the twitter user of the person who first posted these allegations. Please do not seek them down and harass them. I have avoided using their name, but wanted to include the thread so that people can read it themselves.

What Dream was accused of in the thread (archived here):

flirting with a consenting minor 3 years younger than him

What Dream was not accused of in the thread:

non-consensual activity

using his status or age as ammo

asking for sexual favors

being abusive, nasty or unkind

grooming

Believe victims first. There is no solid way to debunk the claims that have been made, and it's not like they put Dream in any legal trouble. Nothing explicitly transpired between them: the worst was still just 'flirt' in the OP's words, as well as Dream inviting them to his house - an exchange that they show themselves initiating.

Overall, Dream won't be in any legal trouble for this at this stage. Romeo & Juliet laws are in place which validate the ability for minors to consent during sexual interactions with someone close to their age. It would be dumb to call a 20 year old an ephebephile. So it's downright absurd to equate it with pedophilia.

However, there may still be an argument for it being grooming. But I believe that only the victim could create such an argument in this case. There's no official science to what is and isn't grooming. I think it is inappropriate to define someone else's experience when we know so little, though.

All this to say: you don't need to defend him. You don't need to poke holes in the story. Even if he was in trouble, you shouldn't be doing that anyway. That doesn't mean you should take it at face value, but this instinctual need to debunk every allegation ever made is dangerous.

OP didn't want clout. OP just wanted to tell their story in case they were part of a pattern, given allegations (flimsy as they may be) that were making the rounds at the time. This was a relationship that did have potential to be inappropriate. I don't think it was unreasonable for the OP to share it, and I don't think the OP shouldn't be able to reflect on it and feel that they were too vulnerable to be a part of it. But I do think that just because there is the potential for a power imbalance, that doesn't mean it was actually abused here, unless OP shows us otherwise.
