#bc he just doesn't have the time/resources as a teacher to help them out like they'd need ; and like it's not even like in EA

bill and ted and their efforts in education is something thats So Important to me - they really do want to learn and find new things soo interesting, its just that traditional teaching methods fail them. even stuff they love (music) took them so long to learn !!!! which is something i feel like ppl miss a lot. choosing to learn smthn that is difficult and has a steep learning curve is actually So Hard and frustrating and bill and ted actually put in so much effort to learn!! and ofc it works out (they win battle of the bands, become famous, save the world etc) but i feel like they wouldve worked at it even if they never met rufus and all that bc they approach life with such genuine earnestness. which is a trait i admire so much and they make me so happy :)
yes dude you absolutely hit the nail on the head!!! i love love love that Bill and Ted don't make it through any of the movies thanks to any kind of special skill or innate talent, they manage to make it through just because they're so affable and enthusiastic that people around them (even some who would have reason to actually dislike them) just can't seem to help but be taken with them and decide to help them out - no perpetuating the myth of independence anywhere!!
and you're so right about the time travel probably not being strictly Necessary in their development like, their audition at the beginning of Bogus Journey isn't very good but it's still technically way more musical than their garage jam sessions were in Excellent Adventure! (You could argue that's just the Princesses carrying the sound, which is probably true to an extent, BUT I don't think that's it entirely bc there's not any discordant distortion-noise like there was in EA and parts of the melody do seem to cut out when Bill and Ted pause playing to speak) So they were learning and improving between movies, it's just that they're naturally kind of slow at it AND they've also probably not been able to focus on learning all that well bc they're working full time and struggling financially - once they take like a year and a half outside of time to practice nothing but guitar they're able to show off some serious musical acumen, and THEN i love how Face the Music shows how even though they've both gotten pretty Technically skilled at a huge variety of instruments, they're still 'bad at it' bc they struggle to write music that other people enjoy/understand and they still aren't overly bothered by that at all!
Also love that the same applies to Billie and Thea - they seem to have a much easier time of things than their dads do wrt learning/innate skills BUT they're still 24 and haven't moved out or gone to college or gotten jobs or anything and no one (other than Chief Logan ofc) puts them down or admonishes them for this! They're both loved and supported wholeheartedly by their parents (who OFC understand it all completely) and they make it through the movie the same exact way Bill and Ted did! Even though Billie and Thea do rely on a more-than-solid grasp of musical history to navigate the circuits of time, their ability to sway the historical figures to their cause largely thanks to their enthusiasm for the topic and general affability and i love how that's always upheld by the movies as a Valued Trait i love it SO much

Re-watching Calamity (for ~research~) and this time around Patia has really stood out to me. Of course Cerrit and Laerryn and Zerxes are showstoppers, but I decided to pay more mind to the other three members of the Ring of Brass, and just... Patia Por'co, guys. Patia Por'co.
Patia's relationship to what she knows (and does not know) is, I think, the pure distillation of knowledge is power.
She carries all her knowledge, all of Avalir's knowledge, with her, levitating, all this power at her fingertips. I think that there's something to be said with her about how generational power and knowledge are so often intertwined - children of alumni having easier access to the same academic leg up as their parents, knowing who to know, having the ins and outs of how this works handy. I don't believe any of the other members of the Ring of Brass come from backgrounds like this, and if not it's fitting that the only one that does is the one most tied to knowledge. On top of being an elf to boot, something which must amplify the consolidation of resources throughout the years.
[Shunting the rest under the cut bc oops this got Long]
I think it's interesting, too, how Patia seems extremely adept at navigating the lies and half-truths of Avalir's politics, yet reserves honesty for her friends. If someone lesser than they knows what they shouldn't, she will take that power away from them. On my relisten, I'd forgotten that one of the memories the Ring of Brass analyzes tries to throw Patia under the bus, and how quickly she shows Nidas memories proving that she did as right by him as she could. And the reveal that she and Zerxes tried to bring back Evandrin, and upon the failure she removed the painful memory at his request.
(Mechanically, too; as a wizard, her knowledge literally is her power. That's the wizard thing, baby, and if Laerryn exemplifies a wizard whose INT is intellectual skill/problem-solving, then Patia is probably INT as memory. Streetsmart and booksmart besties. Also revealing herself to goad Dean Hollow into popping back in, only to immediately Sphere her and cause the bitch to get eaten by her own spell? Maybe that's a stretch of my 'knowledge is power' bit, but it's too fucking cool of a moment not to remind you of it.)
The first time she died, it was for knowledge. Touching the Tree of Names, and she never did let it go (would she, if she could have?). When she died - that first time - did she meet the Raven Queen?
Patia's direct tie to quite possibly the second-most knowledgeable being in the Exandrian mythos (behind Ioun, but I'd argue you know a lot to handle fate and death, on top of being a wizard in life) feels very deliberate to me. The Raven Queen, the mage who did what no other could (except Vecna a long-ass time later, and only for like a day or two), was at least a contemporary. Perhaps a teacher, or mentor, or admired idol. And now Patia can't even remember her name.
It's funny how much knowledge was actually taken from Patia, between that name and her parents'. Just as she removed knowledge from others. No matter how powerful you get, even with a protective ring, you are always at the mercy of your predecessors. What they chose to do with knowledge. And what Patia chooses to do, now.
In her last moment alone, she relates this knowledge to selfishness. Her grandfather's decision to make a city fly because he and others could. The Gau Drashari's decision to keep all information about the Tree of Names secret. While I disagree with her a bit, it really rounds out knowledge is power - because it's hoarded, it's made a tool for selfishness and control. And Patia acknowledges it likely always will be selfish, but for now at least she can break this cycle.
She breaks Avalir, the model of it her grandfather holds, and sends the Librarium with all the knowledge she carries to Maya.
(I'll note that Maya probably doesn't know what the orb is or does, so sending the model library is a great way to help get that message across, too, on top of the meaning of the moment.)
When it comes time to send all of Avalir's knowledge away, it's not some mage acquaintance from another city she sends it to. Hells - she doesn't even teleport herself out, with it, to ensure its protection and proper use. She sends it to a child, a teenager, the daughter of her friend. Someone with no power, who will have nothing but her family in the Calamity. I can't quite pin down why she choose Maya. Because a teenager is innocent, uncorrupted by power? Because she wanted to give the family of her friend leverage, knowledge to rebuild, a fighting chance?
There's so much Patia did not live to know. She points it out herself that she never found love, or became a parent, all for the sake of Avalir, for knowledge, for power. To maintain the legacy that preceded her. Excellent DMing on Brennan's part to take the quiet moment, as the sphere is sent to Maya, to then put Patia in the place of a child, one robbed of the knowledge of who her parents even were.
And yet. As she sends all she has ever known away, she still reaches for it. Almost wants it back. Almost.
Her story begins and ends with a wish: happy Replenishment, grandfather. And on that fateful day, in place of the stolen tithe she and Laerryn and Nidas have been shuffling around the city, she gives her life to save the world. and she gives away the knowledge to rebuild it.
And there's nothing else she needs to know.
IDK. I think we should talk about Patia more.

i think one of the things that attract porsche to kinn is just that kinn is independent of him
like, he's not responsible for kinn - *to* him for the purpose of performing his job, but not *for* him the way he is for porschay and seemingly his friends also
he can be the vulnerable one, he can cast aside the yoke of responsibility because he knows kinn can take care of himself, but also is capable of taking on the responsibility and also sharing and trading it back to porsche along with his own vulnerability
(i fully maintain that *nothing* would have happened if kinn hadn't kissed porsche on the pier - things only progressed bc porsche *remembered* that, was turning it over in his head, was thinking about what it *meant* even before he was drugged - for porsche the fact that kinn made a move, that kinn *liked* him, was the tipping point. if kinn had just made a pass, tried groping him or something, acted like one of the people from the bar, porsche wouldn't have been fascinated he would've likely blanked it just like he blanked vegas' attempts, just ignored it)
so then i started thinking about the parallels between kinn and, of all people, yok. because they're both tacitly porsche's "boss" but his relationship with her is definitely not one of subservience.
we see that yok is actually porsche's only real adult confidante - he doesn't go to her just because it's his first time dating a man - i can't imagine him asking say, jom, for serious love advice in any context. something about the fact that yok is technically his employer frees porsche from feeling like he has to be the dependable reliable one.
if something happened to yok or the bar of course he would want to help out, he might even feel obligated if it were something that happened during his shift or because of him, but it wouldn't be his *responsibility* - he would trust yok to be able to take care of whatever she needed to do. and the same goes for his relationship with kinn - if porsche wants to care for kinn, look out for him, it's either professional concern, bc it is still his job, just like the bar was, or it's because he *chooses* to.
he's not protecting kinn out of responsibility or filial duty the way he protects porschay - he knows kinn is a big boy who has his own resources and handles himself quite well, he doesn't need porsche for *that* no matter how good porsche is.
i just find it so interesting that the two people porsche seems almost to regard as equals and as *adult* (not pals that essentially follow his lead) friends are both his "boss" - it's like it gives him a freedom to not be the one making all the decisions.
see how quickly he takes yok's advice when he doesn't know what to do, and the same with kinn when he's at a loss. only with kinn they trade the decision-making back and forth: when kinn doesn't know how to fish, teacher porsche shows up. when kinn has a plan that makes sense (no matter how rarely), porsche easily follows.
another example is pete: he's more or less porsche's equal for real, he's not a 'follower' and porsche does ask him questions - but he doesn't just accept pete's answers, we always see him thinking them over.
he would never just blindly accept pete's instructions the way he does someone who he regards as having some (any) real sway over him. that's determined by the the value that he, porsche, has assigned to them, authority he mentally has allowed.
i'd say in terms of porsche's regard, khun korn probably ranks right around pete in terms of how seriously he values their words. even though korn could destroy porsche with a snap of his fingers it's clear where porsche's respect lies and korn is well behind kinn (and probably tankhun) in porsche's eyes, so it's not just *a* boss that porsche is willing to listen to or obey, it's someone that *porsche* has delineated as both trustworthy *and* responsible enough that he doesn't feel beholden to their welfare except is a way he chooses to be.
it's just really cool to see all these small less obvious parallels in the show, like how vegas is the dark parallel of kinn

Hi friend! Just wanted to ask, since you work with screenplays and filming - where do you get your inspiration from? And is there any materials (like actual documents, videos and such) you've benefitted from filming school that you would reccomend?
Tumblr media
                                   ✧・゚  𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃.
HEYHO NONNY !!
Thanks for the interest. I'd say that it entirely depends on what kind of movies you want to do or what stories you'd like to tell. I believe the worst thing you can do is working with resources and materials that you know you won't work for you, but people still recommend it.
Personally, I find MY INSPIRATION in music videos and music itself, most of the time. Like, two of my big movie projects originated from songs I heard that lead to characters who then inspired me to write their stories and make two shortfilms. And those characters are Benji and Joe from this blog here. My upcoming Bachelor's movie is also rooted in several songs and music videos that gave birth to the protagonist whom I used to write a while ago on here, too.
AS FOR WRITING, we get a lot of literature recommended when it comes to Screenplay Writing, but I find a lot of them kinda pretentious and they don't help me with my approach. What I still think should be a standard reference though is STORY by Robert McKee. It doesn't force the author's own opinion on the reader like others and gives you clear examples why some stories / movies work better than others based on techniques and facts, what could be the issue and how to fix it. It's less a book to read and more of a reference book, though. But I always found it very helpful.
Another thing I personally turn to has always been a book from Hirohisa Tanaka's HOW TO DRAW MANGA's series. It mainly focuses on teaching you some techniques and tricks how to develop interesting and surprising stories, or how you can "stay in creative shape". Technically, it doesn't have something to do with movies at first sight, but it works for me and it's fun. You should always consider material outside of your bubble.
WHEN IT COMES TO VIDEOS and such we actually do have our own huge digital encyclopedia of video tutorials made by the staff and students, courses, interviews and such that are only accessible for us. So I couldn't help you out with these, but as I said before -- turn to materials that benefit your story.
But I can warmly recommend one vid that my Screenplay teacher showed us and it was a simple but huge game changer for my stories: Writing Advice from Matt Stone & Trey Parker. I've never seen this put better into action than in Riot Games' ARCANE series, I would've never noticed if my teacher hadn't shown me this video.
Outside of my film school I watch A TON OF VIDEO ANALYSES of series and movies that I love so I can compare them with my own views and understand how they work. And they dont have to be exclusively from professionals and fellow filmmakers bc lbr, you just have to look at letterboxd reviews and you know we're a totally different kind of breed than your everyday movie-lover. It's also good to just watch reviews of regular people and see how their opinion differs from professionals.
Channels I personally enjoy are:
The Closer Look (Writing & Constructing Stories w/ examples from famous media)
The Vile Eye (Analyzing Evil // Villains)
Cinema Therapy (Psychological Aspects of Characters & Filmmaking)
Broey Deschanel (Analyses of popculture & politics)
schnee (In-Depth Analysis of ARCANE)
abitfrank (Overanalyzation of fairy tales, creepy stories & movies)
Hello Future Me (Reviews)
Friendly Space Ninja (Reviews & thoughts on recent series / remakes)
verilybitchie (LGBTQA+ analysis of movies, series and politics)
And generally, I ofc watch videos about the kind of filmmaking that I wanna do. So, in my case I watch a lot of videos about visual comedy in the style of Edgar Wright, how he uses Sound Design (a highly underappreciated department) and so on. And I also bother with materials covering these topics:
Morally Ambiguous Characters (I need writing-heavy resources)
Bizarre but endearing Dialogues (Watching movies that have this; researching in my book how to write conversations; watching vids on how to NOT write a dialogue)
How to do Music Videos (Watching music videos from the 90ies and early 2000s bc that's what I am going for; analyzing how music videos work, what it tells you about the song etc.)
Symbolysm & Color Dramaturgy (basically just research of the meaning behind each one, how to give the audience information, how to evoke emotions in the audience... and also watching movies where it's very clear to tell - like Crimson Peak and the like, if you're inexperienced)
That was a lot of text now, sorry about that. I'm not sure if you find any of this helpful, but I guess the general thing I can tell you is to directly look for materials and sources that speak to you and are specifically for you. The things that work for me might not work for you and vice versa.
I personally don't find any use in bothering with excercises and materials that only show me how much I don't want to incorporate them in my own work.
I hope this helps??

Head empty only Primary school Teacher!Izuku
Midoriya-sensei who helps and encourages his students so none of them ever feel like he used to. He finds out all their preferred creative outlets (writing, drawing, acting, etc) and tries to accommodate his teaching to make sure no one is left behind.
He works with children around the age where their quirks develop and each pupil is given their own notebook (which comes from Izuku's own pocket bc he's just Like That), where they can write down things about their quirk or draw pictures. Every now and then, Izuku will have a kid who never develops a quirk, but it's okay - they get a book too and they write down things more focused on positive affirmation. He knows how difficult the life of a quirkless person is; he wants to provide them with as many resources as he can while they're still young, so they have a better chance against a world that was never created to be equal.
When Parents' Evening comes around, Izuku proudly presents each of his students' notebooks*. He's worked one-on-one with each kid, adding his own notes and combining their efforts. He talks through their academic and social progress, as well as their behaviour and how they're doing with their quirks.
And if he occasionally gets into arguments with closed-minded parents who think that a quirkless person has no right to comment on their child's quirk, then Izuku schools the expression he's built through the years and holds his resolve for the sake of his students. He'll argue facts until he either proves himself capable (even though he shouldn't have to do that) or reach some sort of compromise. He'll take his emotions out at the gym later instead.
Gahhhhh just... this idea is quickly consuming my mind!
*Only with permission, because he also wants to teach his kids the importance of consent and privacy. If, for whatever reason, a child doesn't want to show their work to their parents, Izuku just gives a verbal explanation instead.
Bonus (Izuku & Fuyumi / TodoDeku):
Izuku works at the same primary school as Fuyumi and she's the only one who makes an effort to talk to him. When Izuku asks why, she tells him about her quirkless younger brother - Fuyumi's the only other teacher besides him who teaches about and punishes quirkless discrimination.
They become fast friends, so naturally she finds out about Izuku's love of heroes. Fuyumi tells him about her little brother, Shoto, the young hero already in the top 10, and Izuku's starstruck because he's seen all the footage from Shoto's fights and he's amazing! And responsible for Izuku's Bi Awakening but he doesn't mention that part.
Fast forward and Fuyumi arranges for Shoto to come to their school to give a talk on heroes. When the Head announces this to the faculty, Izuku is both excited and terrified because his second favourite hero is coming HERE?! while Izuku has to look after twenty rowdy children?
Izuku barely gets his head around it and then Shoto's in his classroom, talking in that wonderful voice. Izuku can tell the hero's feeling awkward at first, but he knows what his kids are like. By the end of the class, his stiff demeanour is gone and he's even smiling!
Even after they're dismissed, his smile doesn't fade and he looks at Izuku warmly (Fuyumi hadn't been kidding when she told Shoto how cute and kind her friend from work was).
Cue some good ol' pining and wingwoman Fuyumi-nee, and we've got ourselves a wonderful time!

Just wanted to say that I saw your tags on /post /661538296797741056/ And the idea of Dean running a DINER is perfect omg. He loves food & feeding people. He has positive associations with diners through all his time on the road. I love that idea.
(everyone thank Kennedy for giffing that question for us, she's a star 🌟)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
#i actually love this idea 😅 and Dean is there too - also old - he runs the bar/diner/hunters lodgings #and Cas is still a bamf sexy mofo ofc
so as soon as Misha said *hunters with supernatural powers* my mind went right to Jack, and the generation of Special Kids (ie. Sam, Andy, etc..) and maybe their offspring, and other humans with powers like Kaia, Patience, and Magda (she's not dead, hush now). also creatures like Garth and Benny - rehabilitated monsters who want to help fight the good fight.
i love this idea of people with powers battling evil as opposed to being lumped n with evil because That Was Cas, y'know? he wanted to help but he struggled to fit in because he was Other so the idea of him helping train up similar folk and give them a space to be comfortable and accepted just fills my heart with joy!
the fact that Cas is, as Misha put it, "a powerless former angel" and "avuncular, older, aging decrepit" (😅) is a positive thing because it means he has 1) aged 2) lived to be old which is The Dream for hunters: to not die bloody in their youth and 3) he's a further role model in that he doesn't have powers anymore ie. his powers do not define him.
furthermore that Cas is in a committed loving relationship with someone - a former hunter themselves, who happens to be a man? tell me these misfits wouldn't idolise Cas, I dare you. they don't just marvel at what he can do (he may be a silver haired fox but he still got reflexes like a cat and moves with such strength and grace it almost seems impossible - and then he'll be grumpy and complaining about his hip bc the rains are coming) they're inspired and comforted by simply Who He Is. the idea that these folk love Cas for his teachings of wisdom as well as his bamf fighting skills and awesome strategic experience and old-as-time knowledge and ability to speak dozens of languages fluently (and ok maybe Sam helps with the magical side of things and runs the bunker with Eileen. and other hunters live and teach and train there too, maybe the Banes are involved! anyway the bunker and it's resources are open to folks and there's a bunch of instructors around; the bunker now filled as it should be with those eager to learn) it just warms my heart because Cas deserves all the love and it would be so good to see others appreciate him not just as a teacher but as a mentor and friend and person.
but you're here about Dean.
Dean takes a backseat with the training to run The Roadhouse 2.0, a diner/bar he purchased and fixed up with his found family in Lebanon (bc it's the center, the heart, and close to the bunker) where he can cook and pour out a cold one or just manage things from behind the scenes. a place open to both hunters and creatures - as all know and which some have learned the hard way he doesn't take kindly to hunter/monster business being conducted on the property. the place is protected, which means the patrons are protected, but even if the wards were down you best not be dumb enough to start crap in Dean Winchester's place.
but such instances are few and far between because this is a beloved establishment by all because you just can't beat the homey atmosphere or the good company and even better tunes. and then there's the food ~ it's not fancy but it is delicious (although Dean does love to experiment with a new dish every other week) and there is always pie. but all in all folks would detour several states out of their way just to pay a visit. because they feel safe and welcome and they appreciate the diverse atmosphere. because Dean knows life on the road is hard, and when you have nowhere to call home he wants a place that can help fill the gap a little.
Dean and Cas also work in conjunction with the owners of a local motel (i envision another queer couple, one former hunter, one human with good and bad run-ins with the supernatural). while hunters-in-training and those adversely affected by the supernatural reside in the bunker and use it as a kind of weigh station, the motel caters more towards travelling hunters and creatures seeking to rest their weary heads. the diner/bar and motel also employ folks trying to get back on their feet or those who just need a break for a while.
and if you can't pay don't sweat it. they never turn away someone in need, be it for one of Dean's world famous burgers, a good night's rest, or if it's for something a little more in the bunker's wheelhouse they'll make sure you get what you need and are taken care of. he knows hunger, he knows loneliness and desperation, so if he can do anything to stave off those troubles you know he's damn well gonna try.
Dean was done with the hunter life but he didn't want to retire from it completely; he still wants to help but he just can't justify risking his life to do so, especially since he's not getting any younger and moreover now he finally has someone to share his life with, all the domestic-adjacent bliss be didn't dare dream of.
it all works because it's a team effort and they find their found family just keeps on growing, as it should.
you got me rambling but i hope this paints a pretty picture for you. 🥰

My Jedi master Eeth Koth headcanons!
Eeth Koth has been my comfort charcter for quite a long time, and still is now (and I hope still will be in the future also, bc I cant imagine me existing without my love for Eeth anymore).
So, I've decided to share my most prominent master Koth headcanons that I've accumulated at this point
As promised, I'm posting only general ones, without any specific implied pairings or other relationships!
note: (due not so much info about Eeth in Canon and Legends (unforgivably little actually), maaaaybe I'm projecting some of my own mental stuff on him, but eh, this is unevitable I guess :)
Have fun reading these!
1. Change of the profile
In his youth, Eeth was a Jedi Guardian, a.k.a "Jedi-on-the-front-line", and carried a blue lightsaber. But after the death of his master, followed by him joining the High Council, Eeth calmed down his inner rambo and changed his profile to a Jedi Consular. And so he chose a path of a diplomat, built a green lightsaber (with a hilt very similar to his dead master's one, as a remembrance) and eventually became famous in the Jedi Order exactly for his ability to resolve conflicts peacefully. (that's why no big missions on his part before the Clone Wars era apart from his participation in the Yinchorri incident)
2. The acceptance issue
Eeth pays a lot of attention to his appearance: carefully brushes his hair, makes sure his clothing is perfect, and so on.
Some consider this a simple whim, but in fact this will to have an ideal appearance is a consequence of some issues Koth now has because of his difficult childhood. Due to the fact that Eeth spent his first four years as a ragged orphan in the filthy slums of Nar Shaddaa, he sometimes feels as if he doesn't deserve to be in such a clean and nice place as the Coruscant Jedi Temple. (And the fact that his membership in the Order at first caused a lot of controversy among the Council masters only worsened this fear)
That is why Eeth tries his best to always look as perfect as possible - to be suitable for the beauty of the Temple and to not feel himself a stranger in its walls.
3. Long meditation hours and self-reflecting
He does meditate on his issues quite often, in order to get rid of every irrational fear he has, like the one described in the previous headcanon. Usually he does that in the evening, after all the tasks are completed - he gives himself time to reflect on what happened during the day, what he did and said and how the others reacted. This does help, but still some thorns can be very hard to get out of his hearts. His favourite meditation place is his own quarters in the Temple, where he can have a nice view on the evening/night Coruscant, which is somehow more relaxing to him than the gardens in the Room of Thousand Fountains.
4. A little peek into the apartment
Eeth’s master-quarters in the Temple are decorated with effort and thought. The most significant part are the long heavy thick and soft curtains, that, if closed, take all the light in the room away, leaving the nice pleasant semidarkness atmoshphere. Also Eeth has a lot of various cushions around the whole apartment, along with an enormous supply of aroma candles!
5. The tragedy of the Padawan
Eeth's first and only Padawan learner was Sharad Hett.
Sharad's will to quit the Order deeply hurt Eeth, even if he didn't say that out loud, as he put a lot of effort and dedication in his promise to be the best master possible for Sharad. Also he lowkey agreed with the accusations of other masters telling him he was responsible for Sharad's departure because Koth failed as a teacher - so he does feel himself guilty of failing both Sharad and the Order.
After the Hett's incident, he actually vowed to himself not to take any more Padawan learners, so as not to let anyone's expectations down again. (And, like master Saesee Tiin, chose to put his efforts into other fields rather then teaching)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(these panels still hurt me somehow qwq
Sharad made Eeth cry, for kriffs sake!)
6. But he's still very friendly to kids
Despite the unpleasant exprienece with his own Padawan, he did let go of his initial frustration and now he is quite happy to give younglings and young padawans some general lessons! Also sometimes he takes other masters' students to group trainings or supervises them during the Trials of Knighthood. And young Jedi do love master Koth a lot - because he's soft and very patient, and does allow them some liberties :)
7. The social butterfly
Eeth is a "social butterfly" or a "caretaker" (ESFJ mbti-type)
He is used to being among a large number of people, but even though it seems that he gathers these people around him, in fact this is not true - his natural charm and outgoing personality allow him to easily make new acquaintances, interact with friends and encourage conversations, but he more follows his more assertive companions, adapts his behavior and words to them in order to create the most comfortable atmosphere possible, than directs them himself.
In other words, he offers the fun, but enjoys more the others' reactions to it, than the fun itself!
8. Sweet tooth!
Eeth LOVES sweet things! He generally likes all sorts of sweets, starting with various desserts and finishing with sugary tropic fruits. (Gaining weight? Naaah, the zabraks physiology allows him to consume a lot of food because of the higher metabolism due to the zabraks having two hearts. And also he does a lot of physical exercise in the training halls. So it's not a problem at all!)
9. And he is sweet himself too
This love for sugary things is not only for sweet treats actually, but also for the scents of cosmetics too! (And he does use a lot of that stuff). That is why Eeth usually smells of something nice, either caramel, or vanilla, or fruity etc.
This is often favorited by his colleagues on the Council, who definitely enjoy the pleasant aroma Eeth always brings with him to the Council meetings.
10. Energy drinks!
He got badly used to them during the Clone Wars era, because he really needed an additional energy resource when staying up all night brushing through various diplomatic documents and strategy plans. Caf wasn't much of a help because it just turned out to be not strong enough for the zabrak, so he eventually replaced it with cheap but more effective sweet energy drinks. It doesn't really matter to him which drinks to buy exactly, but the meiloorun-flavoured ones are among his favourites.
11. Form of lightsaber combat
Form III - Soresu!
I actually did a separate essay analyzing why Eeth’s form of combat is definitely Soresu, but if keeping brief: he uses Soresu mixed with some Ataru moves. Ataru was his initial style, advised by his master due to Eeth’s small complexion and natural agility & flexibility, but after changing his Jedi profile to a Consular he also adopted the main Consulars’ style - Soresu (usually called “the diplomat style”, “the most peaceful among the seven'' etc.). Koth’s Soresu moves can clearly be seen in the “Grievous Intrigue” episode in particular. Also Koth’s stance in the "Intrigue" is different from the famous Kenobi's "point-fingers" thingy simply because Eeth's pose is not an opening Soresu stance, but the brace-ready stance, which in Soresu is described as “having much in common with the "Ataru guard," with the hilt held at waist height on the dominant side in a two-handed grip for greater control, extended vertically upwards”

12. The double-bladed saber
Eeth wields a double-bladed saber almost as well as a regular one.
And in fact, it was Darth Maul who has inspired Eeth to try this kind of a weapon - after the High Council sent him to lead the investigation on the question of a zabrak sith on Naboo in 32 bby, he got genuinely interested in the possible perks of two blades in his Soresu and eventually mastered the double-bladed saber on quite a level. But he still sees this only as an interesting training option, but nothing more. So the double-bladed saber stays in the Temple and is used only in the Training Halls, but never on the battlefield.

13. An earring (yes, in the singular form)
Eeth has one of his ears pierced (right one), and he actually has several different earrings, mostly simple, like basic metal rings, which he usually picks every morning according to his mood. But to be honest, this earring thing is purely only for himself - because you can’t really see his ears under his usual three-ponytails hairstyle.
Though, he did abandon wearing earrings during the Clone Wars era - because since the war began and the potentially dangerous missions became more frequent, it wasn’t really a right place and time for such things, especially knowing that the Separatists can use some specific traps (like the ones they used to magnetize Jedi lightsabers on Lola-Sayu). The prospect of losing the whole ear due to such a trap is not the most pleasant one indeed.
14. HUGS (and other tactile activities)
Eeth very very VERY much loves hugs!
And for him, tactile contacts are more than just a way to feel comfortable - for him it's a vital part of the whole communication process. This issue dates back to his master, Kosul Ayada, who was a herglic (a race that is actually not very good at speaking Galactic Basic), and therefore helped himself with gestures and body language. And spending a lot of time around master Ayada, Eeth also got used to supporting his verbal dialogue by body language and tactile contact.
That is why while speaking Eeth actively gestures, grabs the other's hands, squeezes shoulders etc. And the hugs are his way to express sympathy and also to feel safe and appreciated!
15. Driving skills
Master Koth can drive, and actually quite well. And by driving I mean not spaceships, but smaller things that stay on land, like speeders.
And because he is a diplomat who often attends various meetings with senators and ambassadors, he also has a personal speeder, allocated to him by the Order for the ease of attending senator events and other diplomatic ocasions.
(But he does use it for other personal purposes too, because why not to, if there is an opportunity)))

(A panel of Eeth casually driving a speeder like a damn pro is one of my fav Eeth comics crumbs,,,,,,)
16. Singing
Eeth enjoys singing! But he usually keeps this thing to himself, making the quiet manthra-like singing a part of his meditative prep - it helps him to settle down his tangly thoughts a bit and tune his mind and body for the actual meditation.
(the hc was inspired by Hassani Shapi’s singing in one of his films, because Shapi’s voice is really beautiful and I’m sad they didn’t give him even a single line in the Phantom Menace when filming Koth’s Council scene)
17. Space soap operas...? (not so serious, sometimes treated as crack, but sometimes not)
Koth (secretly) likes soap operas on the late-night HoloNet, and often stays up to watch a new episode of something before going to bed. His favourite series is called “Lekkus of love” (my imaginary in-universe show I usually use in my sw writings) and it's about a twi’lek girl’s life, filmed in the style of our “Magnificent Century”, with lots of romantic intrigues and twists.
18. LOTS of feelings
Referencing the previous one - Eeth is very emotional, actually! Yes, he’s a Jedi and he knows how to keep his mind clear, but he’s still sensitive enough to actually cry over sad episodes of "Lekkus…" because “Poor Ai’sha, she worked so hard to get her man’s attention, but he still chose that togruta girl? This is outrageous, this is unfair! :ccc”
Also this can be in fact explained biologically. He's a zabrak, and zabraks are supposed to have a hot, blazing, higly-emotional nature (to match their home planet, Iridonia, wich is also boiling with acid seas and all that - otherwise they won't survive)
19. Podracing as a favourite sport
Eeth enjoys podracing. He first got into it back on Nar Shaddaa, when he heard a lot about racing and stuff from smugglers and bounty hunters (and at that time he even dreamed of becoming a cool podracer - but that was of course before he was taken to the Temple).
Now he doesn't dream of podracing that much, but still can and actually does enjoy watching annual championships via HoloNet. He also tries to keep in touch with the latest news in the podracing world (that interest he shares with the young Anakin Skywalker, and they do sometimes occasionally discuss podracing when they both have free time)
20. Horns
Eeth doesn’t really trust droids with trimming his horns, so he usually does that by himself, in the freshener, and that always takes a while. Also unlike a lot of male iridonian zabraks, who prefer to keep the tips of their horns comparatively sharp as a sign of their brutality and masculinity, Eeth chooses to make the tips humbly rounded and smoothed.
21. A pet? (Also not so serious - but sometimes it IS the most serious hc!)
Eeth has a pet loth-cat! The loth-cat is a she-cat, and she's big, fluffy and always on her own mind. Agen Kolar sometimes points out that the loth-cat is very similar to her owner in a lot of little things, like the way the cat purrs when being hugged and how she is obsessed with being clean and ideal too.
The loth-cat is also a bit jealous of her owner’s attention, so she will every time make herself comfortable on his knees when Eeth is meditating or working with documents to show that this is HER man. (especially when smb comes over to Eeth’s apartment - that's the case when she just NEEDS to state who’s the real boss here).
22. Participation in the first battle of Geonosis
I headcanon that Eeth was not directly on the Petranaki Arena actually during the first battle of Geonosis in the AOTC. Since he's not on-screen in that symbolic circle of survivors but is still stated as a participant, I assume that instead of being a part of the main group, Eeth joined Yoda on his trip to Kamino. Maybe not directly on the planet but still somewhere there, helping to gather clone legions to guide them to Geonosis.
(p.s. I know that Eeth's on-screen absence is because of Shapi being replaced with another actor and the new character turning out not at all alike to TPM Koth, but this little hc actually kinda fixes the hole without ruining anything…?))
