kinda stupid but top 5 漢字? o/
HI this is not a stupid question at all and was very fun to think about while i had dinner
here are my top 5 at the moment
森 - part of 森林 which means forest. i like that its a little pyramid of three 木, the character for wood. it really does look like a forest
the 'biang' of biang biang mian (a popular noodle dish in china). infamous for being so annoying to write that schoolteachers dish it out as punishment to naughty students. one of those rare characters where no matter if it's traditional or simplified script its somehow equally bad

like what is this. while browsing wiki i found this version which i imagine was made to convey 'nobody knows wtf is going on in there'

3. 疼 teng, which is a way of saying love, but its a love with a great tenderness that makes u ache all the time imo (thats how i heard it used growing up anyway). like if u say u 疼 ur little pet, it means u want to dote on it and protect it from everything. a certain power dynamic is implied in the word where one side is the guardian. i like the character because the radical in this character is commonly used for words denoting malady, and it looks like there's little drops of blood coming out of its exterior and interior. to me thats how it feels to love something that way haha
4. 冬 dong, not pronounced the way some of u would think :P the d has a bit of a crisper 't' sound to it. it just means winter. i like that it both looks like a pine tree and a canopy of heaven spilling out waves of snow
5. 哭 ku, this one just means to cry. it really does look like an unhappy little face with tears coming out
thanks for the great question :D

𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕕 𝕤𝕜𝕪 → 𝐥𝐮𝐰𝐨𝐨.
It was New Years Eve and Lucas was here, in Jeju of all places, with Jungwoo. When he suggested they come here, he wasn’t expecting Jungwoo to even say yes mostly because it was risky being so far away from basically everything back in Seoul. But, he was more than happy he did agree to come here. It was more than nice, it being just the two of them surrounded by beaches and away from the hustle and bustle of Seoul. While it was still...freezing, it was still enjoyable, which Lucas loved. After they got back from shopping this morning, food and fireworks -- or sparklers in tow, Lucas immediately began cooking. He wanted to make something special -- stuff he used to eat more often before he came to Seoul -- jiǎozi, some beef his mom always used to fix and then biang biang mian -- his personal favorite then obviously some ramen and other side dishes they’d need. Thankfully, he was a pretty decent cook so it didn’t take him too long. Before he forgot, he also set the table with everything they’d need, glasses for their drinks, candles, utensils -- the younger made it look almost perfect. After setting everything out that Lucas marveled his hard work. “Baby?” He called out as he waited by the table. “Everything’s ready, if you wanna come on and just admire this fantastic looking food from a super cute cook.” Grin wide on his face as he waited for Jungwoo. @jvngwcos

Pho bo from Vietnam.
Mixed two recipes: one simple, one from a Vietnamese person. Took the interesting parts from the Vietnamese recipe, but left out the difficult parts haha.
This time I used the exact amount of chili needed for some spice but no need to quench with water. I did use less star anise and ginger than the Vietnamese recipe told me, bc these are again flavours we’re not used to as much so I don’t want to overdo it and ruin it for our palate ^^
We’re travelling around the world via food: I try to make dishes from different countries around the world. Suggestions always welcome! Previously: Biang biang mian  with paksoi and stir fried tomato and eggs from China. Next: Thailand.
