I just finished the new pokemon game and will get back into comics during the coming week.

I do wanna talk a bit about the casual outfits in Immortal Fool's final chapter. I've you've followed my work during any of the 20-something years I've done fanart, you can tell I absolutely LOVE drawing casual outfits on characters, whether or not they would ever canonly wear any. I definitely made sure throw one more round of it for the finale.

Fawful casual is probably something that sounds extremely ridiculous to most people. He's flashy, egotistical and normally has a lot of flare. In the comic, that's his public face, and he'll even dress up when doing groceries, but if he's staying off he limelight or... sayyyyy, waking up from 2 weeks of unconsciousness and going out to meet the boyz, a very basic t-shirt and pants combo works. It's simple and easy to roll into like playing Super Smash Bros Brawl by chucking the wii remote down a flight of stairs! The jumpsuit in this chapter was a new idea I was trying out. I think it works because he's a guy that works on things with his own two hands and if he's gonna work on things, he's not gonna let his good outfits get messed up!

Anyway, in a sense, you can say that when he dresses this casual, he's not overthinking about himself or forcing people's attention towards him. It's also why his funny English has toned down significantly in the first scene of the epilogue

Peasley, the idea is business casual, which was something I toyed around with back in 2020 among other things. He's gonna be the prince even on his days off, so he's still gonna make himself look nice and pretty. In the final design (shown in comic), I made the sweater a bit more poofy and almost tunic-like to be spiritually relevant to his canon outfit and the color scheme is generally by that of the castle. I almost gave him a big red scarf to be like his cape, but it didn't look right. The thigh-high boots would have been a good idea to keep tho, or maybe that would be too kinky?! As for the hair being messed-up in the comic, he was tasked with looking after Fawful since the fight with Cackletta and his hair grew/faded out. That blonde hair was never real!

And then Kamek was pretty easy. Long cardigans and bucket hats just make perfect modern wizard attire and then the 3/4-leg slacks have been a thing since the first chapter. There's lots of fun ways to make variants of his canon outfit and because Kamek is such a flamboyant little old man, gender norms in outfit design will be broken. I think it was midway through the comic as a whole where I thought, "I-I think Kamek was supposed to have a shell" but I already went so far into the comic where he looks absolutely beanpole with no shell. WHOOPS. A bit of lore is being thrown in about that this chapter. It's red because his shoes are canonically red and in Mario canon, koopa shells match their default shoes so.... i GUESS. In more recent takes on his main Immortal Fool outfit, the belt and shoes had their colors altered so the oufit as a whole is a bisexual flag color scheme. lmao!

Peach: Straight/Ally, she/her pronouns

Donkey Kong: gay, he/him pronouns

(all three are on a poly relationship, Mario and DK are dating, but Peach is only in a relationship with Mario. It was after much discussion between the three, after Mario admitted to having feelings for DK, that they discussed having a poly relationship.)

Luigi: Bisexual, He/him & they/them pronouns

Bowser: Gay, He/him pronouns

Daisy: Demisexual, She/her pronouns

Waluigi: Polysexual, He/him pronouns (I also hc him as trans)

Wario: Asexual, He/him pronouns

Toad: Pansexual, They/them pronouns

Kamek: Gay, He/him & They/them

My Mario LGBT headcanons and facts (part 1):

Here's my first part of the Super Mario Bros LGBT community this is my AU, so it's my opinion

Mario: Bisexual and cis transgender (He dates Peach and Geno and has some customs of dressing like a girl, it could be based on the wedding dress in SMO and my AU roleswap where he wears some dresses) he/him

Luigi: Bisexual transgender (Like Mario, he is bisexual, he dates Daisy and Peasley, but I can say that he is more trans than Mario, maybe even demisexual, I don't know but it was based @itsavee4117) he/ him

Peach: Pansexual (I like the idea of her being Pan, because maybe it's based on her dating Haru, Bowser liking her and her liking Mario) she/her

Daisy: Cis nonbinary (The idea would be for her to date Luigi and Peasley, but also for her to date a trans man, who is in fact Luigi, and that she likes to act like them) she/they

Rosalina: Asexual (This was also based on several posts, and honestly I like that Rosalina is Asexual, even if she dates Waluigi, and maybe she's not sure if she's straight or bi, I can base it on her and Waluigi being an asexual couple) she/her

Pauline: Straight agender (My God! I changed her sexuality many times! But I came to a conclusion, after he broke up with Mario, Pauline still feels a chush towards him and she also likes Haru a little) she/her

Yoshi: Polysexual nonbinary (As he dates a trans girl, Birdo, he can be considered a Polysexual and nonbinary, it would be in the same case as Luigi and Daisy) he/they

Birdo: Trans homan, She tends to dress and act like a boy, but likes to be called Birdetta or Birdie, and she and Yoshi would be like a transgender couple) she/her

Toad: Aromatic (He doesn’t feel love in anyone) he/him

Wario: Aromatic cis straight (He only likes money, but he has a crush on Shokora) he/him

Waluigi Straight aroace (He likes Rosalina, but as she is asexual, he is considered aroace) he/him

Bowser: Straight (He only likes Peach, but I don't consider him homosexual or anything like that, he only supports the LGBT community) he/him

Kamek: Cis aromatic transgender man (For some reason, when I met him, I thought he was a girl, but he is a boy, so I decided to base it on Kamek being a trans man) he/him

Peasley: Gay aromatic polysexual asexual ( He is dates Luigi and Daisy, and and in this case it would be the same as Yoshi and Birdo) he/him

Geno: Gay aromatic (He only dates Mario) he/him

Ludwig

Ludwig is usually calm and bashful, but easy to get upset. He hates being in large crowds, feeling everyone's emotions. He also hates being put on the spot, he doesn't like attention. His enemy is Prince Peasley of the Bean Bean Kingdom, also Dieter from BFF. He is the leader of the Koopalings, and also the smart and clever. He is also the best cook. The only time Ludwig gets angry is when someone hurts or bullies his younger siblings. (Even Koopa Kid and Bowser Jr.) He thinks Roy is the hardest to handle. Another problem is that everyone thinks he is trans at first.

Roy

Roy is probably the opposite of Ludwig. He is short-tempered and easy to anger. He loves to get into fights with his siblings and others, which is why when Ludwig is gone he can not take over. The Koopaling he fights the most with (No, Bowser Jr doesn't count) is with Iggy. Roy hates Beef (also from BFF) the most because he feels like he is being mocked or threatened. He does have a kind side though. He hangs out the most with either Ludwig or Wendy. He also gives good hugs (not as good as Morton). He is also not allowed to punch Larry, 'cause he's the youngest. He is physically the strongest.

Morton

Morton is the most easygoing of the Koopalings. He hardly ever gets angry, but he does get upset. He keeps it to himself though, to not make anyone else hurt or angry. He is the most comforting and gives the best hugs. Struggles talking sometimes, but other than that: pretty good. He tries to get along with Junior the most. So basically, Morton is most of the time happy.

Wendy

Wendy is also short-tempered, but not as much as Roy. She is the only girl Koopaling, so she tries not to act too girly. When Ludwig is unavailable, Wendy takes charge. Wendy looks up to her older brothers (or Iggy) when she gets upset. She also tries hard to be pretty. She and Ludwig work the hardest, because they want to receive praise. Roy is the one who makes her mad, teasing her to her limit. Wendy hardly spends time with Lemmy.

Iggy

Iggy is the crazy prankster of the family. He laughs a lot at the wrong times. Doesn't mean he has problems, though. He tends to get into moods sometimes, and it's usually his twin to comfort him. Iggy and Lemmy protect each other at all costs. Iggy has a pet named "Chompers" but Junior calls him "Chompy". Iggy is also really good with mechanics and science. He gets along the best with Lemmy and Larry. He is the second most mentally strong out of the Koopalings.

Lemmy

Lemmy is both easygoing and short-tempered. He is easygoing around his siblings (mostly Larry), but he gets angry when he is teased for being trans or being called short. (even though he can't help those things) He also gets short-tempered when he finds out one of his siblings is in danger, so he carries a big knife around with him at all times (actually so does Iggy, but he carries a pocketknife). Him and Larry have the strongest relationship out of the Koopalings, and Lemmy is also the most balanced. His life motto is: "Life is like a bouncy ball, whenever you face a problem, you always have to bounce back."

Larry

Larry is the youngest of the Koopalings, and unlike most, is very quiet. Speaks rarely, even though his siblings love his voice. He loves tennis almost more than anything, and he gets along with Lemmy the best. None of the Koopalings know that Larry is gay, and Larry doesn't really want them to know. He is the most mentally strong of the Koopalings, because he keeps most of his things or problems to himself.

Bowser Jr.

Bowser Jr is Bowser's only son who is not adopted. He hates the Koopalings. Iggy calls him "Junie" and Morton calls him "Small Bowser" but Bowser Jr just wants to be called "Junior". He is younger than Larry, and really short-tempered. He is like a mini-Roy. He is also excited to become king one day and take his dad's place. He also is really bad at math.

Topper

Topper is the oldest of the Broodals, which is not as hard as Ludwig's job. He hates loud noises and inappropriate things. He is also the most short-tempered. But Topper is actually a really nice guy, though.

Hariet

Hariet has a competitve spirit, and loves challenging Larry at tennis (Larry always wins and Hariet always becomes a sore-loser). She gets along well with Wendy, because they are both the only girl sibling. She also likes bombs. A lot.

Spewart

Spewart is the most quiet of the Broodal family, and is best buds with Ludwig. (I think he would get along with Lemmy since they are both trans, but they don't know that).

Rango

Rango is the youngest, and is gay. Like, really gay. He takes care of his pet Chain Chomp the most, and loves taking walks.

Koopa Kid

Koopa Kid is the middle child of the Koopalings. He is a pain in the ass, let's just say that right now. He bothers the Koopalings physically and mentally. He is really jealous of Junior becoming king one day. He hates Ludwig and Iggy the most, and also loves Dieter (actually). (You'll find out more later)

Kamek

Kamek is Bowser's assistant. He is in charge when Bowser is away, which is always a handful. Most of the time he doesn't even stay at the castle, he just runs (technically flies) off somewhere.

King Bowser Koopa I

Age: 33

Sexuality: Straight

- No one really knows where he comes from, Some say he was the son of the previous King and Queen Koopas that died during the great war while the other siblings of Bowser vanished and Even Kamek and King Koopa From the Super Mario Bros Super Show were close friends, maybe thats why Kamek took him in the first place.

- Once married in the past which later left him do to difference issues.

- Single Father of 8

- The Super Mario Bros and Sis arch nemesis and Was determined to make Peach Marry him, Rule the Mushroom Kingdom and Destroy them, unless he ends up teaming up with them.

- The Mushroom League’s Biggest Opponent

- He has Anger Issues but sometimes has a heart and yet feel a bit depressed.

- He loves wining but only when it comes to party games and Go Karts yet still tries to prove anything with many other events of a competition.

- His favorite food is everything Spicy and everything with meat

- His Best Crossover Friend is Dr Eggman

Kamek Magic Koopa

Age: 65

Sexuality: Bisexual

- Bowser's adopted son

- Use to work for his old boss and best friend Bowser's father King Koopa

- Bowser's Righthand man *Mostly just taken his adopted son's frustrasion out by beating*

- He was a great grandfather to Jr and The Koopalings. *His favorite is Ludwig*

- He can see's the past and still follows the guilt of not killing the Yoshi's for stoping the future events.

- When he was not serving the Koopa Empire, He spends his freetime in the Libary and looks at an old frame of King Koopa.

- After Mara' daybute and Bowser Kicked Gill out of the Empire and Darklands wit the New era of The Koopa Empires security and forces, He can create more positions and Teaching The Koopalings and the new founded recurts of Magic Koopas including his new succesor, "Hyptno Magic Koopa"

- He was trying to proven to be Magical Successful but yet sometimes he was called a freak.

Roy Koopa

Age: 19

Sexuality: Straight

- Roy is the first born Koopaling.

- He was born with pink skin and use to bully his other siblings to cover up his believe to be shamed skin, but then he stooped and now chilled out, yet more teasing and stubborn.

- Roy got this scare during one of his encounters with The Mario Bros in the events of Paper Jam.

- He can sometimes get into hissicale fights with Morton and Ludwig. The rest will follow the same fate unless you don’t annoy him.

- Roy was always been a laddies man, always trying to impress some other girl, until he was later started dating Pom Pom.

- Roy’s favorite weapon was the Bullet Bill Blaster, his most prized possessions that he got from the Weapons Room of Bowsers Castle before The events of Super Mario Bros U.

- Roy’s partner in crime was Wendy O Koopa despite her naivety and short temper.

- His favorite films were something cool yet Hawaiian.

Morton Koopa the Second

Age: 18

Sexuality: Asexual

- Morton is the second born Koopaling and named after Morton Koopa Sr.

- Morton's personality was inspired by The orignal cartoon, He usally talks and talks alot which recently get into fights with his siblings. Mostly Ludwig and Roy.

- He was not really not that bright yet sometimes show aggressive behavior when it comes into a fight but recently nice when not during a fight or on duty.

- His favorite foods were any food related to meat and chocolate.

- He loves his girlfriend Lynna Koopa the most where he wan't going to the gym, He alos loved to cuddle with her.

- He was a very extremes and reckless fighter *As a result to his scars* but his maximum strength doesn't stop him where he uses his magic and Strong Hammer to wipe out enemies.

- Before and After Mara showed up, He did battle the Mario's and got the upperhand so many times until evenly his wreckless and confusion lead to him making a mistake and left defeated.

- He was sometimes enemies with Donkey Kong due to the same strength and different competition.

- He was the Triple Dynamic duo with Iggy and Lemmy

- Morton loves to listen to rock and roll while in Mario Kart.

Ludwig Von Koopa

Age: 17

Sexuality: Straght

- Ludwig was the 3rd oldest of the Koopalings and the only Smartest and Clever Koopa but sometimes selfish.

- Ludwig was the third commander of The Koopa Empire, getting the other forces to follow his instructions.

- He sometimes can find his other siblings annoying essepally Junior but gone less respect for him after "Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey arc"

- Ludwig was the only one who hasn't moved on after his biological mother abandon him along with his other siblings. He had dreams of it sometimes at night.

- Ludwig trained magic everyday to get very stronger every time to learn different ability's and New attacks to wipe out foes. He made a mistake once from "Superstar Sage + Bowser's Minions arc"

- He enjoys classic Music and he takes to live piano. He would write down in his notes for his own music.

- Ludwig's Partner in crime was Larry Koopa, They have a few tricks up their leaves and yet learned a few spells under their belts.

- DONT TOUCH THE HAIR!!!

Iggy Koopa

Age: 16

Sexuality: Straight

- Iggy was the 4th oldest of the Koopalings.

- Shortley after being adopted, Kamek gave Iggy *age 9*, Kamek gave him glasses a boost of his clear ness.

- During his years of greiff over being abandon by he and his siblings, Iggy slowley went insane and became quite wreckless made evil genius.

- 2 weeks before the events of "Super Mario Bros Wii arc" Be adopted a Chain Chomp named "Chomp Chomp" and taught him many other tatics scene he learned animal control.

- Iggy worked in a Factory preformed many other new machines like Mecha Koopa and Mecha Koopa 2000 and meet his childhood friend and love interest Wednesday Koopa.

- Iggy could have a good personality when he was in a good mood, but get into a bad side, he could get into deadly crazed mode. Mara learend that the hard way when she was oner her first adventure with Mario and Luigi.

- During his big missions, he would do anything to take the crazy thrill alongside His other siblings *mostly Lemmy and Morton*

Larry Koopa

Age: 15

Sexuality: Pansexual

- Larry was the 5th born of The Koopalings

- He had a short temper whatever he lost on certen events.

- Wendy has a huge temper, but scene Mara daybued, Her temper got worse during many classes Mara, The Mario's and their friends over and over and after Bowser and The Empire decied to take a long break from coquring, Wendy ends up remaking the events of Bowser's Fury.

- Wendy could get along with Junior, Larry, Lemmy and Morton but Roy, Morton, Iggy and Ludwig, Maybe.

- Wendy was one of the many top socialist on Insta-Goomba and would host live streams of make up and live tours.

- Her places, she likes to go were Ocean Land and Ice Land where she can make them moves in style ;D

- She loves pop music and loved to it during her race in Mario Kart.

- The Youngest of The Koopalings. He was the last ones to hatch shortly before Biological Father dead, Mother abandon him and his siblings and months when Bowser adopts the Koopalings. He was only a baby when it happened. He even doesn't remember his real parents.

- He would grown into a close bound with Junior *When Junior was 3*, Larry, Wendy, Morton and Mostly Iggy.

- He was born with Heterochromia Eye Colors *One Green and One Pink*

- While he was growing up, He learend all about anything about anything circus related. Their is one time when he saw his siblings and Adopted Father reaily happy, they went to the circus when he was a toddler. On that day, he learned bassics of The circus ralted stuff where he was the only silly one who balance on a ball.

- A day before Bowser’s main plan is ready, He would go one day early to Acorn Plains, because he wants the Waddlewings to join forces with the Koopa Empire. A day later, The Waddlewings then set their revenge at the Mario Bros from *SMBU arc* and failed to do so. Lemmy then meets Mara for the first time and realized her skills of soccer during the fight. He ran off after being defeated. Lemmy continued to help Bowser and never rest to achieve his goal. Might need to learn how to play soccer.

Cause I'm bored at work and just realized that I haven't talked about characters other than the Koopalings and a little bit about Junior

King Bowser Brutus von Koopa

Raging Bisexual

Literally raging too

He has a soft spot for kids

He's very wise... but not very intelligent. Very prone to getting tricked

Aside from his own brute strength and fire magic, Bowser enjoys using Axes

Has a little brother named Mowbray whom I'll get to in another post (Did you know? In Mario Bros: The Lost Levels, there's an enemy called Bowser's Brother)

Calm, composed, and very well put together. The kids still consider him to be a cranky old man though

If someone manages to set him off though? You should consider leaving immediately

Has somehow managed to curb Bowser's tactical stupidity for the last 37 years

He plans on retiring as soon as Ludwig can get his shit together (it's gonna be a while)

A soft spoken and kind soul who brightened the halls of Castle Koopa

She and Bowser were childhood friends

When Ludwig, and later Lemmy, came into their care, Miyashi was the one to convince Bowser to adopt them

Sadly died 4 months after Junior was born from illness

Queen Mila von Koopa

Bowser and Mowbray's mother and the former queen of the Koopa Kingdom

A jovial woman who enjoyed reading and writing almost as much as she loved sparring.

Died under mysterious circumstances with her husband Brutus. The Mushroom Kingdom was implicated, which led to a war

Was close friends with Kamek

When Junior isn't wrecking havoc with his pranks, his personality is very similar to hers. At least, that's what Kamek says.

General Brutus von Koopa

Bowser and Mowbray's father and the former King Consort of the Koopa Kingdom

Stoic and silent. It's rumored that Mila was the first person to make him laugh.

He was the highest ranking member in the Koopa Troop until he left his position

Bowser and Junior get their looks from him

unsorted (and spoilery) mario movie thoughts under the cut since I saw it today

first to get it out of the way: critics apparently complained about the plot being too simple and straightforward, none of the characters changed that much, too much stuff being thrown at you and too many references...it's a mario movie. this is basically what the plots of the games are. if anything these things helped the movie by making feel more like the games!

for my personal issues: first half of the film goes at an absolute breakneck pace and luigi doesn't get to do nearly enough. mario and luigi also spend way too much time apart :(

otherwise, though, THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING. it was clearly made by fans and caters directly to fans, the amount of easter eggs and references is enormous.

THE MUSIC. nearly all of it is BEAUTIFUL orchestral versions of songs from the series and it's everywhere and in the most unexpected places. underground theme in the sewers, bowser's castle theme as his fortress is approaching, super mario 3 athletic theme (I think?) when mario gets the tanooki suit, mario kart menu music in the kart garage, LUIGI'S MANSION MELODY WHEN LUIGI FIRST ENTERS BOWSER'S KINGDOM? I am kissing all of the orchestra members and composers DIRECTLY on the mouth for their work. and if we're talking about music...

DK RAP BABY!!!!! the crowd loves that guy! they even name-drop diddy kong during the scene!

there are also a few pop songs in the movie, though take on me during the introduction to the jungle kingdom is the only one that felt really out of place

the bros' path to their first job being a recreation of world 1-1 complete with a castle-like building at the end...that scene was totally there to show off but it's very neat

MARIO AND LUIGI ARE BEST BROS...mario gets to protect luigi from insults and luigi gets to say that any princess with good taste would be into mario...their relationship is the BEST and I'm so sad we didn't get to see them directly interacting more...

somehow I wasn't expecting bowser's plan being to marry peach since it was left out of the trailers...but it's hilarious seeing bowser plan it all out and they even got bowser's and peach's wedding outfits from odyssey, so it was perfect

I was a bit worried that they would lean too hard on peach being a do-anything Girlboss™ but while she's tough she's clearly got her kind side too! protecting her people is her biggest concern and it's even exploited by bowser!

bowser gets to sing a love song for peach with bisexual lighting and everything. you can tell jack black was having the time of his life

speaking of the voice cast, they all did really well! I didn't have many doubts as a whole but even chris pratt was great as mario. didn't think I'd ever write that sentence but it's true

kamek was such a proud dad to bowser despite his limited screentime. love it

I'm not sure why spike was part of the initial advertised voice cast because he's barely in the movie lol

out of all the powerups I expected to return, I was not expecting the mini mushroom and ice flower, but they were incorporated very well!

other things I didn't really expect: mario and dk having a rivalry that builds into a friendship was cute. also they straight up get swallowed by the mario 64 eel

princess peach backstory?????? at least in the movie canon she isn't from the mushroom kingdom and just arrived via warp pipe from...somewhere as a baby. also using the baby versions of peach and the bros for flashbacks is incredibly cheesy but also cute in its own way

there were surprisingly few cringeworthy or self aware jokes and no awkward overly long gags, which must be some kind of first for illumination based on what I remember

the animation was spectacular as expected. rainbow road looks fucking gorgeous and the character animation was fun to watch

no really romantic moments between mario and peach unfortunately, though we did get a lot of very nice interactions between the two overall so I hope they build on their relationship in a potential sequel

so yeah...it's good and very fun. go see it if you haven't already!!

Broke up with Daisy when they found out that she hates the Koopa species (both kingdoms are sworn enemies since then. literally nothing can change that) (took a break from the love life for a while before their crush for Spiny begun)

Have a doc filled with Mario headcanons and wanted to share the sexualities part because fuck it, it’s still pride month.

Disclaimer since it’s relevant to this post : I headcanon that Peach, Daisy, Wario and Waluigi are all creatures from the world of the Mushroom Kingdom who look the way they do due to magic gems (those blue and green gems that Peach and Daisy have respectively). Peach is a Toad, Daisy is a Dino-Rhino (unless those flower people from Mario Bros acid trip Wonder are from her Kingdom, then again I like Daisy being a giant cool Dino, plus the trailer for Wonder showed several other big animals), not sure for Wario and Waluigi but they’re not humans. The Super Crown works the way it does because there’s one of those gems in it.

Also, since it’s briefly mentioned, what I call the “main” continent is made out of the Mushroom, Koopa, Bomb-omb, Thwomp, and Goomba kingdoms. Sarasaland (retconned into Flower Kingdom now ?) and other kingdoms are on other continents (yes I know in Superstar Saga the Beanbean kingdom is neighbors with the Mushroom. But since they never appear in other games, I’ve chosen to ignore that detail).

Anyways, onto the headcanons :

- Mario : Transmasc Aromantic Heterosexual ; he realized he’s aro after finding out Peach is a Toad and losing sexual interest in her (felt bad about it at first because he thought he fell out of love upon discovering Peach at her most vulnerable, Bowser made it worse for him by accusing him of liking her only due to her human form) ; him being transmasc is why he’s named Mario Mario (he thought it would be funny)

- Luigi : Cis Bisexual ; had a fling with Peasley + loves Daisy ; he’s gender non-conforming and sometimes shares clothes with Peach, he also trains his voice to be higher-pitched for the heck of it (+ it can help in case he has to take Peach’s place for a kidnapping)

- Peach : Demiromantic Pansexual ; is cis-passing in human form but is technically transfem due to being a Toad

- Bowser : Omnisexual ; Cis tho I like the idea of him being transmasc and birthing Junior’s egg

- Yoshi and Birdetta are T4T + poly (hence Birdetta flirting with others) ; Birdetta’s eggs aren’t actually eggs (insert joke about her “eggs” being white) ; not sure if “all Yoshis that lay eggs are female” but at least all those that lay eggs that can be fertilized are female (and on that note YOSHI MIGHT BE CANONICALLY TRANSMASC ???!!!) ; Yoshi is straight while Birdetta is plurisexual (bi/pan/omni etc)

- Daisy : Straight + intersex + transfem (imagine if Prince Haru from the 1986 movie was her appearance pre-transition, but remove the whole “Peach’s fiancé” part of the plot, or the plot as a whole since the events of this movie didn’t happen here, just keep Haru’s design as “Daisy before transitioning”)

- Big fan of the headcanon that Kamek is gay ; he doesn’t date because 1. He’s busy 2. He’s getting too old for this 3. He’s devoted to his son and grandchildren which takes all his free time

- Depending on which creature he is Wario would be cishet though I could also see him be plurisexual (bi/pan/omni/other label that has to do with dating more than one gender ; I like putting diversity in queer headcanons but I’m not the most knowledgeable on labels past the most common ones)

- Not sure for Rosalina, either aroace or she’s allo but just stays single due to her life situation ; probably non-binary (she/it, could also be a play on the fact that some see her as some kind of goddess)

- Pauline is Cis Lesbian and her and Mario parted on good terms after he came out as trans on top of other reasons (basically they still care a lot about each other but realized they were better off as friends, the whole “unknown aro + transmasc with lesbian” simply gave them an easier excuse to break up)

- Really not sure for Bowser's kids, the only ideas that are "set in stone" are that Ludwig is gay, Wendy is attracted to boys (doesn't meant she can't like girls), Lemmy is demi-boy (they/him) and Morton is attracted to girls (like Wendy it doesn't close the door for liking men).

Not sure for the rest, though I could see Iggy using he/neopronouns (likely xe/xem) and at least one of them being interesex. Btw the older kids say they don’t date because they’re busy with royal duties but the truth is they are just incredibly awkward + they can’t ask their dad for advice since he’s a romantic disaster

- I could see Toadsworth be aroace, since even in his younger years he cared more about raising his surrogate daughter than dating + he never pressures Peach into marrying ? In general he doesn’t seem to care about romance ? ; he’s also transmasc because Toad

- After seeing Bowser’s Inside Story and the beginning of Dream Team, Starlow is a lesbian crushing on Peach (is very buddy-buddy with Peach despite barely knowing her, makes a big deal out of Peach being kept safe, calls her “Peach” instead of “Princess” from the get go, at times seems to see Peach as the best person in the room)

- Toads and Goombas are naturally agender because mushrooms ; some choose to express a specific gender (ex Toadsworth, Toadette, Peach, the Toads and Goombas from the first two Paper Mario) ; some may use gendered pronouns even if their presentation doesn’t display any specific gender (ex Captain Toad using he/him despite looking like any other Toad) ; basically every Toad/Goomba that use gendered pronouns (or neopronouns) is technically trans and/or non-binary ; cisgender Toads/Goombas go by they/it ; the Super Crown gem gives the shape the Toad see themselves as but it doesn’t have to be cis-passing or even gender conforming, can be androgyne (Daisy took a while to figure herself out, hence her gem giving her Haru’s look at first ; she's not from an agender species but the way the gems work still applies to hers, hence mentioning how her being trans worked on that front)

- That previous point implies either all Toads have the same metabolism and thus all grow facial hair (Peach having to shave tho) or they have mushrooms that serves as HRT for those who want more “masculine” or “feminine” traits (hair/facial hair and tone of voice) ; the color of their hats has nothing to do with gender for Toads (ignore Nintendo’s weird obsession with making every female character in the Mario franchise pink)

- Sexual dimorphism in general is very rare/limited in this world (only the Beanbean kingdom has it ?), in “main” continent, Koopas are the ones where it’s the most present and even then it’s very minimal (genitals, who can lay eggs, possibly size but even then not really since Pom Pom is the only one smaller than her male counterpart, Wendy and other female Koopas aren’t particularly small)

- Toads (and other species) experimenting with gender could be due to seeing Koopas make the distinction between “male” and “female” and finding the idea of changing your appearance based on how you feel to be fun (even though you have the concept of male and female Koopas, there’s no transphobia in Bowser’s kingdom) ; by that point it’s common for Toads to change however they feel and go by any pronouns they want, just because they’re aware of the concepts of masculinity and femininity doesn’t mean they have to follow it to the letter with their pronouns unless they want to

- On that note, I could see Toadette as genderfluid, though she most often goes by she/her ; I could also see one or several of the other main Toads (Ala Gold, Bucken Berry, Captain Toad, "The" Red ToadTM) be bi-gender

- Not sure what’s going on with Waluigi but he’s definitely queer
