ok so like hear me out i swear-

ok but really tho, i did a pic for todoizuocha week that had my magical girl au in it and i actually had the unfinished draft for this prior to said week but i broke down and finished it lol here's the "main" magical girl group for my au

i have like way too much magic system world-building for this au ngl. the main concept is that every magical "girl" gets a crystal called a "heart charm" it chooses a color and an animal based on the person the color is reflected in their charm color and usually their weapons will glow/be that color too (ex; deku's staff having the same green as his charm) it's vaguely implied it's like their heart color or symbolic and colors can change etc. (note animals cannot change only the color can). heart charms also give people certain powers and buffs like for example transforming gives them a physical buff and stamina buff so if they're normally very weak and frail when they transform it buffs them and makes them strong and energized, they also get personalized powers and weapons from their charms which are kinda used as a replacement for quirks lol (ex; bakugou has his gauntlets that let him make huge explosions but he doesn't have his normal small explosions anymore and cant explode stuff when not transformed) the magic weapons they're given are assigned when they first transform and can't be changed they just gotta get creative with em

there's also like this whole thing i have written out for how the outfits work and the squishes, outfits are manifested light and not real cloth so they act as bulletproof armor and can be changed by feeding a squishy a new design (in the au bakugou designed basically all the hero team outfits) also the squishies are like those little magical girl mascot character things and theres only 2 of them in the au but its ofa and afo as these tiny lil squishes and i have designs for both of them too lol (i don't have the pics of them on my pc rn or id add them here)

anyways i have a half-written plot for this au if anyone is like actually interested in this nonsense, but as of right now it's mostly string and sticky notes so its kinda jank lol

Drawing for magical girl au im thinking up. Kind of a role switch for the LOV? Kind of half magical girl half modern fantasy/unrealistic slice of life? Katsuki couldn't breathe. Why weren't the fucking heroes DOING anything?!

"Kacchan!!!" A familiar, wheedly voice called out, and Katsuki looked despite himself to see fucking Deku of all bitches running towards him.

"OUTTA THE WAY, KID!" The Villain shouted, aiming Katsuki's hand at Deku and pressing several pressure points using his liquid body to forcibly activate Explosion. Katsuki thought it was a fitting end for Deku, being a Villain casualty because he couldn't leave well enough alone despite his gut screaming for Deku to not have died, please don't let Katsuki have killed him, holy shit

"Alchemy Power!" A voice called out from within the blast radius, and the heat and light warped and began to encircle Deku. Katsuki and the Villain watched, transfixed, as Deku began to fucking glow, his clothes seemingly dissolving into pale green light. "Make Up!" The green light his clothes had transmuted into formed ribbons of energy (actual literal ribbons with the notches in the ends and everything what the shit), and were coiling around various parts of Deku's body. Two wrapped around his arms and suddenly burst into physical form in white arm-length opera gloves with a flared mouth - the inside seemed to be emerald green. Two more wrapped around his legs and became white thigh-high high-heeled boots with a green stripe down the outer sides. A longer ribbon than the rest fully wrapped around Deku's torso and materialized into, of all things, a seifuku with green accents to the plain white, and the shirt under the blouse had a symbol like a triangle atop a double cross. The fires around Deku exploded into confetti - harmless and absolutely nothing - as Deku spun into a quick pose, pointing at the Villain.

"I won't allow you to use Kacchan's Quirk for evil anymore!" Deku announced. "In the name of Phosphorous, I'll punish you!" And with that, he threw a fucking knife at the Villain.

Have you done any Magical Girl Izumi ideas yet? Because I'm thinking of an Izumi who enters into one of the none hero divisions of UA so she has time to be a magical girl.

Not going to lie it falls into my: why would she NOT tell people? I was reading a fic a while back with Cardcaptor Izuku and they passed the whole thing off as his Quirk, and I really don't know why it would be hidden.

Like, let's say she can't tell anyone or she loses her powers. Quirks are fucking whack. She appears in her costume, and registers her Quirk as 'Secret' explaining it. She goes to UA as her magical girl hero self. She can't tell anyone or she loses her powers, people know this. We thus get a second plot line where the LOV is hunting her down to make her lose her powers.

I think it makes way more sense and honestly would be more fun to do it that way.

Magical Girl/Boy AU designs with Midoriya and Bakugo!

These two were really challenging to design especially Bakugo. For him, I wanted something that was close to his hero costume but with a sci-fi magical twist. Earlier iterations had a more Power Rangers/Megaman feel to them but his outfits clashed way too heavily with the world. While I liked many of the beta sketches, these fit into Haze's universe the best.

Midoriya's beta designs were a lot more magical boy-esque with a lot more whites, ribbons, and poofy pants. But it looks a bit too... not Midoriya? We all know Midoriya is a feral child so I didn't want the only descriptor for his outfit being "cute". It started off as a cyber-angel kind of design to emphasize a sense of freedom as he's going to be one springy boy!

I drew a potential weapon for Midoriya but not Bakugo because if I drew all the weapons he could think of, we'd be here forever

Okay, so, I read this cool bakugo fic where he became a quirk doctor and I think there was something called quirk essence in it? So I took that concept for my magical girl Aizawa au.

Imagine this:

You know how quirks are theorized to be diseases from rats? So what if they could mutate further, sporadically? And your body isn’t strong enough to handle it. Kinda like nomu but it’s one OP quirk. And I took a fuckton of inspiration from Madoka, so the way people mutate is from sudden and intense feelings of grief/despair. It gives me the perfect excuse for why Aizawa is a magical girl.

So normally when someone mutates they turn into these quirk monsters, their bodies forcibly handling the quirk ig. Again with the nomu comparison, they are usually grotesque af. Anyway, there are people immune to becoming a nomu, and instead just.. cough up the quirk essence. These function kinda like soul gems from madoka. You become essentially quirkless- in which you can only use your quirk after transforming. Idk how they activate it yet, but the quirk essence is wrapped around your body to make sure you can handle the quirk.

Suits or dresses idk yet but I put bakugo in a dress and I made stain a magical girl who broke under the pressure which FITS cuz of the Stendhal stuff-
