Surprise
Sam Winchester x F!Reader
Tumblr media
I'm a littleeeee late for his birthday one-shot but I did it! Happy Birthday Sammy, the biggest comfort character that I have and the reason for my obsession with a 15 season TV show
Summary: The morning of Sam's birthday didn't go according to planned - in the best way possible
Warnings: PURE FLUFF, naked-ness and hints of sexual intercourse but literally nothing happens, english is not my first language
WC: 1.7k
enjoy!
Tumblr media
It was hilarious. The way Sam tried for so long to not bother you about his birthday. Brushing it off, claiming it was nothing, saying you never needed to do much for him because just your presence was enough to make him happy. It was cute but you never bought it, this year was the same thing.
You had woken up later than him that morning, noticed when you didn’t feel the warmth of his chest on your bare back and his hands holding you close like he did the night before. You wondered how he did it, the man kept you up all night and still was able to get up at six for his morning run. Either way, Sam usually went on runs early to clear his head and you knew his birthday was somewhat of a taboo for him – damn John Winchester. He wasn’t very open about it but, from what you knew about his father in the years you knew Sam and Dean, you could have an idea of why he didn’t take his birthday as an important date.
You got up, discarding the sheets, the cold hitting your naked body making goosebumps rise over your skin. The room was an absolute mess, your clothes and Sam’s scattered all around, half the sheet on the ground along with a pillow that you probably pushed off the bed to make up some space. You smiled to yourself feeling the warmth on your cheeks – it has been three years since you started dating Sam and five since you met him and he still managed to make you feel like it was your first time all over again.
You gathered some clean clothes of yours and decided to hop on the shower to really wake up and, since Sam never ate breakfast before a run, you wanted to start his special day with his favorite breakfast – made by you. Sam always appreciated anything you did for him, be it the simplest thing as breakfast or complex things such as, well, saving his life. Dean always teased about Sam being madly in love with you ever since he first laid his eyes on you. Little did he know it was practically the same for you too. The pining was terrible and you only noticed how embarrassing it truly was after you started dating. You assumed, though, it was always like that, what matters is that it worked out and it was one of the best decisions of your life to start a relationship with Sam Winchester.
You thought about all kinds of things you could do to surprise Sam later. He wasn’t much for parties and only drank casually – unlike his brother. He liked Celine Dion but you thought it would be too dismissive to buy a vinyl of hers for his birthday. To sum it up, Sam was a hard guy to buy gifts for because everything he told you when you asked what he liked to get was I don’t need much sweetheart, just give me anything and I’ll be more than happy. Ugh, such a cliché thing to say to your girlfriend.
While you were cooking the eggs you heard the loud noise of the metal door to the bunker closing and immediately smiled to yourself knowing your birthday boy had arrived. He ran down the stairs and you were able to hear his tired breaths from afar. You always wondered why he liked running so much, catching yourself thinking of all the different reasons why he might feel the need to run every morning. Maybe it was just great to workout, maybe he just needed some time alone, maybe he just likes the fresh air from time to time, either way, you weren’t by any means going to complain about waking up on an empty bed every now and again – it was one of the things he enjoyed, you weren’t going to ruin it for him.
You felt strong – and slightly sweaty – arms wrap around your waist from behind and soft lips kissing the side of your neck, a light hum coming out of his mouth as he smelled your perfume. “Good morning, Sweetheart” He whispered against your skin.
“Good morning baby, I’m making breakfast for you birthday boy” You said.
You felt him smile over your neck, and one of his hands snaked up and grasped your chin, turning your face to him. He quickly looked at your eyes, then your lips, leaning in to leave a long peck over them. You sighed dreamily through your nose, turning your body around completely to him, making him adjust his other hand on your waist. When he pulled away Sam was looking at you with the most loving eyes you had ever witnessed – well, he always looked at you like that.
“You didn’t have to”
“I wanted to, don’t start” You countered. You would’ve ran a hand through his hair, hugged him tight and showered him in kisses but, first, he needed an actual shower – his front strands were shining with sweat. “Now” You laid a hand over his chest “go take a shower so that I can greet you properly and for you to eat”
He lowered both his hands to your waist again and you felt his thumbs under your shirt, caressing your bare skin. He seemed to not have registered a word you said as he just stared dreamily at your face.
“Thank you” He said suddenly. You felt a seriousness in his tone, something more than just thanking you for making him food. The words hung heavy on his tongue and in your ears, your brain trying to process what he really meant by them. You knew that in ‘Winchester’ – or better, the way Sam and Dean spoke about feelings – ‘thank you’ could mean a thousand different things and emotions and this time it definitely wasn’t just for the eggs.
Sam noticed the confusion on your face, your beautiful eyes trying to read through his and figure it out. You were a smart woman, Sam knew that. He also knew you would not just take that thank you as something simple, specially with the way he said it. Truth was, Sam wanted to say so much more, to drown you in his words, to fill your body with emotions but he was just too scared. Every time he felt the need to tell you more, the constriction in his throat was stronger, the nervousness in his body was overwhelming and he would just not say exactly what he wanted to say. The velvet box hung heavy in the pocket of his shorts.
“For what?” You asked, almost in a whisper, eyebrows furrowed.
“For being you” He said and watched as a beautiful smile opened in your face. It’s now or never Sam, do it, fucking do it.
He let go of your waist, still smiling at you. Sam had told you before that nothing was a better gift for him than having you in his life. He meant that. He meant every single word. So, yeah, Sam Winchester faked going for a run this morning. Sam Winchester actually went to pick up a ring he had ordered a week ago. Sam Winchester wasn’t actually sweaty, he had thrown water on his front strands to fake it because you were so smart to the point you’d notice that he didn’t go for a run if his hair was dry.
Sam Winchester was on his knees in front of you, a beautiful golden ring inside a velvet box in his hand.
You were frozen as tears started to well up, your eyes glossy. “Sam..”
“You’re one of the many reasons I’m still here” He began “You make every breath I take worth it, you turned my world upside down the moment I saw you, you make me aspire to be better every single day. I look at you and I see life, a future and the forever love of my life” He took a breath, the constriction in his throat wasn’t beating him now, it wasn’t going to stop him. “I can’t see myself without you anymore so, please, if you’d give me the pleasure…____ ____, will you marry me?”
Your heart was beating so fast and so loud you could feel it in your ears, tears were falling down your cheeks as Sam held your shaky hand in his. You’ve never felt happier, you’ve never wanted to scream this loud or cry this much. He was going to be the death of you.
“Yes!” You nodded aggressively, smiling wide “Yes, yes, God, a thousand times yes!”  You said loudly and Sam stood up with the intention of putting the ring around your finger but you just couldn’t hold back your happiness.
As soon as he was up, you threw yourself at him, your arms around his neck and he almost lost his balance, swaying on his feet. You sobbed on his shoulder as he hugged you tight to him. You pulled back to look in his eyes and saw nothing but love, nothing but happiness and gave him a long kiss.
You pulled away and finally let him put the ring around your finger as you stared emotionally at it, the gold shining beautifully against your skin. When he looked at your face again he smiled, his dimples showing and his cheeks red.
“I was supposed to surprise you today” You said with feigned anger as you stared into his eyes. Sam shook his head and chuckled.
“I told you, there’s no gift I’d rather have than you”
“You’re so corny”
“You love it”
“Yeah, I love it…I love you”
“I love you” And he kissed you again, his hands holding your cheeks as if you were made of glass. You held his wrists to keep him there…Until the smell of something burning hit your nose and you pulled back with wide eyes.
“Oh Jesus Christ, the food!” You said desperately, turning around to turn the stove off. Sam just laughed at you, his fianceé, trying to swat the smoke away with your hand as you poured water over the brunt eggs. Yeah, best gift ever.

Good morning Miss Winnie. (Part II)
Part I
Pairing: Dean Winchester X Reader.
Rating: Gen.
Summary:
Two weeks after Dean became a father, it's time to jump back on the hunting horse. But he's hesitant.
Notes: Non-canon, no time line. And I don't ever want kids. But I just became an aunt and I sort of need to get this out of my system! Short and I'm not promising that I won't continue this. Who knows really. Finally this was written after I'd taken my usual nightly gummy.
Tumblr media
“Bonnie?”
You shot Dean a look across the kitchen. He was cooking eggs on the stove while you were nursing. Castiel was the only other member of the bunker awake at six a.m. and, fortunately, occupied the library. It wasn’t that you cared about the other men seeing you breastfeeding, it was how they reacted to it. Both became very awkward and outwardly attempted to look anywhere but at your breasts.
“You can’t accept Winnie, but you pick Bonnie?”
Dean shrugged.
“I was just thinking if we had a boy we could call him Clyde. We’d have our own little gang.”
“Firstly, I’m not doing this again. And secondly, Bonnie and Clyde were felons.”
“What do you mean ‘you’re not doing this again?’ Don’t most women go crazy for more kids? They smell the baby's head and some hoo-doo helps them forget about the pain and bodily fluids.”
“Yeah, well. You try being in labour for damn near forty eight hours and shitting yourself in a room full of people. Including the man you love. Then come back and tell me you’ve forgotten about it and wanna do it all over again.”
“Point taken.” Dean laughed, plating up eggs and bacon for them both, “And you didn’t shit yourself by the way.”
“I didn’t?”
“I think I’d remember.”
You smiled at the plate of food and carefully lifted the baby from your breast. She’d long since stopped feeding and was instead squirming, ready to be winded.
“I can take it from here.” Dean reached down and lifted the little girl up into his arms. He held her upright against his chest and began rubbing circles into her small back, “There we go kiddo. Get it up.”
“Be careful.” You warned.
“I’m not taking any chances.” Dean gestured to the polka-dot muslin cloth on his shoulder.
You watched as he gently walked your daughter around the kitchen, her little body squirming while he cooed into her ear. She made several little squeaking noises, threatening to cry, only to be brought back to earth by her father’s tender voice.
“Come on now, no tears. I’ve got you.”
Your eyes locked with Dean’s for a moment, both reflecting a soft smile. He was proving to be an excellent father, not that you’d doubted him for a second. But Sam had. He’d been very vocal about Dean knowing nothing about babies and how, despite the fact that he was happy for you both, he thought this whole ‘raising a family thing’ was a bad idea.
“You guys are great together! But I don’t think this is the right environment for a kid.”  Or something along the same bullshit.
Dean had been adamant about her though. He damn near refused to speak to Sam until he stopped with his questions and logical answers. Sure you both had been sceptical about bringing a child into this life, but neither of you had actively prevented it. If it happened, it happened.
Speaking of the devil. Sam groaned and stretched his arms above his head, stumbling into the kitchen. He dug the palm of his hands into his eyes, drawing them down his face afterwards.
“Morning. Coffee’s in the pot.” Dean said, his voice shifting from Dad to brother by just an octave.
Sam poured himself a hefty mug before offering more to the kitchen. You declined but insisted that he fill up Deans.
“He’ll need the caffeine for your hunt.”
“Oh so you’re back on the job then?” Sam questioned, his eyebrows rising.
Dean’s brow furrowed as he shifted the little one on his chest. He searched her face, the cogs visibly turning in his head.
“I’ll get back to you on that one.”
“What? I thought you’d be happy to get back on the horse.” You’d assumed that after being out of work for almost two weeks that Dean would be craving a hunt, but his face said otherwise.
“Yeah. I mean I am. But she - “
“She’ll be right here when you get back.” You interrupted, “It’s a simple in and out job. Right Sam?”
“Sure. Run of the mill ghost in the attic for some old friend’s of Bobby’s.” Sam took a lengthy sip of his coffee, “And it pays too.”
“See? And we could use the cash for Winnie.”
Sam scoffed, barely holding onto the coffee in his mouth. He looked between you both and then to his niece.
“Winnie?”
“Short for Winchester but not her name. Just a placeholder until we find the perfect one.” You inform, “But what’s so wrong with Winnie anyway? It’s a perfectly acceptable name.”
“Nothing wrong with it at all. It’s just not what I pictured you both to come up with.”
“Fortunately it’s not.” Dean added, shifting the baby from one arm to the other as she reached up with her little hands, “As for the hunt, I’m not sure.”
He offered a finger for her hand to close around, eyes never leaving her. the features on his face softened, lips almost pulling downwards into a frown.
You exchanged a knowing look with Sam.
“If this is about Win- her- you don’t need to worry. I can cope fine on my own for one night.” You offered
“Yeah but what if it isn’t just one evening?” Dean answered, his voice doing nothing to disguise the concern he was feeling.
“It’s only a few towns over. We’ll be home by four am - ”
“But what if something goes wrong? Huh? Then what? I’ve left my wife without a husband, my little girl without a father. And -”
You jumped to your feet at the distress in his voice and rushed to loop an arm around his middle.
“Don’t say that. It’s a run of the mill job, something you guys have done one thousand times over. Nothin’ bad is gonna happen other than a few bruises.” You laid your head on his shoulder, eyes coming to settle on the little lady in his arms, “I can deal with those. And she’ll not know any different.”
With a deep sigh, Dean kissed you gently on the head. It was an uncharacteristic display of affection, especially in front of his brother, but you hadn’t the heart to react. You knew he was feeling vulnerable, that much was clear in his reaction, and to draw attention to it would only make things worse. Instead you settled against him and allowed his warmth and the soothing sounds of your baby to still your own anxiety.
You’d be lying if you didn’t admit that some part of you was fearful of your husband walking out of the bunker and never coming home. Hunting was a dire job, one which had claimed the life of many of your comrades. Dean may be an experienced hunter, renowned in his own right, but he certainly wasn’t immune to unfortunate outcomes. That much had been proven time and time again.
Lost in thought, the only sounds in the kitchen were the gentle fussing of your daughter and the whirring of the circulation fans.
Finally Castiel broke the silence with his sudden entrance. He appeared in a flurry of feathers, one coming to land on the table top by your abandoned coffee cup.
“We have doors, Cas. Use ‘em.” Dean warned, pulling your daughter closer to his chest as she began to fuss.
“I’m sorry, Dean. It’s a force of habit.” Castiel answered, taking a seat next to Sam, “I startled her.”
“You think?!”
You moved to take the baby from Dean but he shook his head, whispering a small ‘I got this’ back to you as he started to rock her from side to side. But it was no good, her cries grew louder and more furious. You began to wonder how those big sounds could even come from such a small creature.
Before you could offer your help again Castiel brushed past you.
“I didn’t mean to scare her.” He said, coming to stand in front of Dean “Is there anything I can do?”
“Here” to your surprise, Dean held your daughter out towards the angel, “You can settle her down while I grab her diaper bag.”
You lean in and quickly sniff.
“I don’t think she needs changed, D.”
“Well I don’t know what else to do. She -”
Castiel reached forward and lifted the infant from Dean. He brought her to settle in the crook of his arm, offering up his fingers for her to grab at. Gradually she began to quiet, her hands reaching up for Castiel’s and her eyes wide, staring into his face.
You and Dean watched on in outward confusion. Castiel, to your knowledge, had never handled a baby before. At least not in recent years.
“How did you do that?” Dean asked almost aggressively, “She was cryin’ up a storm seconds ago and you just took her and nothing.”
“Did you use your grace?” Sam suggested.
“She’s much too small to handle my grace in any capacity. It would kill her.”
You considered jumping in and taking her from Castiel but stopped yourself. She was settled and happily holding onto the angel's fingers. No sense in ruining it. Beside you Dean was tense, clearly struggling with something along the same lines. His face was etched in hard lines and you could see his brows furrowing.
Gently you looped your arm through his and guided him to his long forgotten coffee cup. He moved but his eyes never left you daughter in the angel’s arms.
“So,” Sam cleared his throat, “About this hunt.”
“What about it?” Dean glared at him over the rim of his cup.
“Are you in or -”
“He’s in.” You answer before the question could even be finished.
“Wha - I -”
“Oh come on. You got this. I can handle her and Cas will be here if I need any help. Right Cas?” The angel gave something akin to a positive response, “You have to get back out there at some point.”
Dean’s gaze flickered from Sam to you, finally coming to land on Castiel. He watched the angel gently swaying the little girl in his arms and the lines on his face began to soften.
“Hmmm. You’re sure about this?” He asked.
“Positive.”
“If there’s any trouble, anything at all, you call me.”
“Sure.” You smiled, “But I doubt Winnie will be as much of an issue as your malevolent spirit.”
Dean chuckled, accompanied by Sam.
“God, we’re really going to have to talk about her name when I get back.”

Dirty Dancing
Tumblr media
Dean x reader
Word Count- 3885
Warnings- SMUT, idiots in love, mutual pining
A/N- I was listening to my playlist, and "Cry To Me" by Solomon Burke played, and this whole fic played out in my mind, so I had to write it! I really hope you all enjoy it as much as I did writing it!
Dean was walking through the bunker, wondering where Y/N had disappeared to. One minute she was sitting at the table in the library, and when he came back in from the garage, she was gone. It wasn’t uncommon for her to disappear somewhere in the bunker, but he needed to do a supply run and wanted to ask her if she needed anything.
He caught himself wanting, no, needing to make sure she was okay lately, checking in with her before he even asked Sam if he needed anything. He knew why but didn’t want to admit it out loud. Dean was ass over tea kettle in love with Y/N. How could he not be? She was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on, not to mention that she could hold her own on any hunt put before her. She was smart. As he would put it, she was Sammy smart. She knew her lore just as well as his brother, and that was impressive, considering Sam was a giant, walking encyclopedia.
He and Y/N had been friends for years. She had moved into the bunker with them not long after he and Sam had discovered its existence. But they had known each other long before that. Bobby had introduced her to the brothers shortly after John’s death. Her father had been a hunting buddy of Bobby’s, and he had taken her in when her father had gotten killed on a hunt. Granted, she was twenty-four when her father died, but Bobby didn’t want her to be out there on her own. Dean had been smitten from the first time he had seen her but never acted on it, happy to have her as a friend until lately. Now, she was all he could think about, and to be honest, it was scaring the shit out of him.
His thoughts were interrupted as he walked upon her door. What sounded like her TV on had gotten his attention. He peeked in her cracked door and couldn’t help but smile at the sight before him. Y/N was sitting cross-legged on her bed, her hair up in a messy bun, her eyes glued to the movie playing in front of her. Even in her old pajamas, her hair a mess on top of her head, Dean had never seen anything as beautiful. His heart fluttered in his chest as he looked at her, a smile pulling at his lips as he knocked on her door to let her know he was there. He could stand there and watch her all day, but he didn’t want her to catch him staring and think he was a creep.
“Hey, Y/N. I’m heading out on a supply run. Do you need anything?” he asked, smirking as her eyes never left the TV to look at him.
“Nah, I’m good.”
“Movie that good, huh?” he laughed, finally making her break her eyes away and look at him.
“Damn right it is,” she exclaimed loudly, a small giggle leaving her, making Dean’s heart flutter yet again, “It’s one of my favorite movies.”
“Really? Dirty Dancing is one of your favorites?”
“Absolutely! It’s a classic!”
“I don’t know about that,” he chuckled, trying to aggravate her. He loved when he could get her flustered. It was the cutest damn thing.
“Are you serious right now?! It’s so romantic. Especially this scene,” she sighed dreamily as she turned her attention back to the movie.
Dean looked up to see it was the scene where Johnny was dancing with Baby in his cabin. Yes, he knew this scene, as he had seen this movie before. Swayze always gets a pass!
“Women really find this stuff romantic?” he questioned, watching her reaction closely.
“Yes,” she replied softly, watching the scene intently, “And a man that can dance is just sexy.”
His heart almost stopped when she smiled and winked at him, her gaze swiftly returning to the movie. He watched her as she continued to watch, her expression was soft, and did he see want in her eyes as she watched the two on TV dance together?
Little did he know that he was right. Her heart beat faster as she watched the scene, her imagination running wild as she pictured it was her and Dean dancing together that way. Her chest felt tighter as the sadness that it would never happen washed over her. All she wanted was for Dean to want her as badly as she wanted him, but he would never see her that way. She sighed softly as she looked over to see him still looking at her, and she smiled, trying to cover the hurt she was feeling at that moment.
“Actually, could you pick me up some ice cream? I feel like just being lazy and eating junk while I watch movies all day,” she asked, knowing she needed to be alone the rest of the day. It was getting harder to hide her feelings for him, and she didn’t have the strength to fight it today.
“Sure thing, sweetheart.”
It had been a few days since she had spent the day by herself. She was glad Dean had left her alone, considering she had watched, as he would call them, ‘chick flicks’ and cried at the longing to be with him, knowing it would never happen. Luckily, today was a better day. She had cried out all her frustrations and was happy to be in the library with the boys. She smiled as she looked around her, grateful that she was where she was. A hunter’s life can be very lonely, and even though she wanted to be with Dean other than his friend, she had to accept that it could be worse. At least she had them in her life at all. The sound of a chair scraping the floor broke her thoughts as she saw Dean standing and walking out towards his room.
“What’s that about?” she asked, looking at Sam for an answer.
“No clue. Who really knows with him,” he shrugged, returning to the book he was reading.
She looked between Sam and where Dean had disappeared down the hallway. She sighed as she stood to go to her room. So much for spending time with Dean today, it seemed. He had been acting off since he left her room the day she was watching movies, now that she thought about it. She couldn’t figure out what happened that would make him distance himself from her. The more she pondered on it, she realized he had been holed up in his room a lot since that day. She felt her phone buzzing in her pocket as she reached her bedroom door. Taking it out to see that Dean had texted her asking her to come to the Dean cave. Maybe she would get to spend some time with him after all.
As she opened the door to the room, she saw Dean standing in the corner beside his record player, a shy smile on his face. Curious, she walked into the room, shutting the door behind her as she approached the man she longed to be closer to. He looked nervous, which wasn’t a look that she had seen on Dean very often. Once she was standing beside him, she looked up to see him staring down at her, his hand reaching out for her.
“Dance with me?” he whispered, terrified she would deny him.
She stood in shock momentarily, wondering if she had heard him right or if her ears were deceiving her. She looked between his face and his hand, frozen in disbelief. Before she could say anything, a look of hurt and rejection crossed his features as he started to pull his hand away. That jolted her out of her stupor, quickly grabbing his hand before he could put it in his pocket.
“I’d love to,” she smiled shyly, squeezing his hand gently.
His smile lit up the room. She hadn’t rejected him after all, and now, he hoped this would work as he had planned. With her hand in his, he picked up the needle to the player, sitting it on the record, turning to wrap her in his arms. As the music began to fill the room, she was stunned. The song played in the scene from Dirty Dancing she was watching when he came into her room that day. He began to sway with her exactly how Johnny was dancing with Baby. She couldn’t contain her giggle as he held her to him.
“Seriously? Damn it, woman, I’m trying to be romantic here,” he grumbled, looking at her with his best bitch face.
“I’m so sorry. Please continue,” she answered, not able to contain her smile.
He rolled his eyes dramatically but continued to sway her body with his. Her smile disappeared when he pulled her tighter to him, leaning down to rest his forehead on hers, his breath fanning her face. The look in his eyes made her gasp. She saw what she had wanted to see for years, desire for her. She felt light-headed with want for him. She had wanted him like this for so long, and now here she was, wrapped up in his arms, as he danced with her.
The song had ended, but he was still swaying them slowly, unable to let her go, afraid she would disappear if he released her from his arms. She wasn’t in a hurry to move, though. She knew she was where she was meant to be, in the strong arms of the green-eyed hunter that had won her heart a long time ago. Reluctantly, she pulled back, looking up to see him smiling down at her, and without hesitation, closed the small gap between them, pressing her lips to his in a barely there kiss.
She had imagined kissing Dean so many times, but even in her most vivid dreams, she couldn’t have foreseen how good his lips would feel on hers or how much the little whimpers he made as she deepened the kiss and ran her tongue across his bottom lip would affect her. The feeling of the muscles in his shoulders moving under her fingertips as he moved his hands all over her body made her ache with desire. She had never wanted anyone so badly in her life, and it was finally happening, making her head swim with the idea of what was still to come.
Dean walked them back over to the couch without his lips ever leaving her, laying her down cautiously, watching her expressions to make sure she wanted this as much as he did. When he found no signs of hesitation, he leaned over her, slotting himself between her legs, his lips going to kiss and nibble her neck. He was in no hurry tonight. He was going to find every little spot that made her cry out, make her feel like she was the only woman in the world, because that’s exactly what she was to him.
Y/N was a withering mess beneath him. The way his body was pressing her into the couch, his lips on her neck, his hands gently caressing her would be the death of her, she was sure. She needed more, needed to feel his skin against her, his mouth leaving open-mouthed kisses all over her already sweat-sheened body. She pushed his flannel down his shoulders, letting him shrug it off before grabbing the hem of his t-shirt and pulling it up his back as she tried to remove it. Dean chuckled as he sat back on his heels, pulling the shirt over his head and throwing it to the floor behind him.
“Is that what you wanted, sweetheart?”
She bit her lip as she nodded, a little embarrassed at how carried away she was becoming. No man had ever made her feel the things she was feeling at the moment. Maybe it was because Dean was just so fucking handsome or that she was so irrevocably in love with him, but whatever it was, she had never been so turned on in her life. And he hadn’t done anything but kiss her.
“Hey…” he whispered, getting her attention. He knew that look. She was in her head again. “This will only go as far as you want it to. I want to touch you, feel you, make you feel so damn good, baby, but only if that’s what you want,”
“I want you, Dean. I need you,” she whimpered, quivering in anticipation.
“Are you sure? We’ll stop right now…,”
“Don’t you dare stop,” she groaned, earning another chuckle from Dean.
“Whatever my girl wants,” he winked, leaning down to capture her mouth again.
He moved his lips down her jaw, kissing and lightly nipping her skin as he trailed down toward her ear, licking the spot right behind her lobe. The sound she made was between a moan and a whimper, and fuck him if he didn’t want to hear her make that noise over and over.
He bore his weight on his hands, stiffening his arms so he could look down at her, and the unbridled passion he saw looking back at him took his breath away. She really wanted him, and it made him want to drown himself in her, completely let go and show her just how much he wanted and loved her. He made it his mission right then to show her how special she was because, god damn if she wasn’t perfect.
“Can I?” he asked, pulling the hem of her shirt up slightly, smiling when she nodded at him somewhat shyly.
Once her shirt had been thrown behind them, he dropped himself down on his forearms, placing soft kisses on the swell of her breasts. Her hands entwined in the hair on the back of his head, pulling him to where she wanted him, and he couldn’t contain the groan that spilled past his lips. She was starting to relax and enjoy herself, and if that wasn’t the sexiest thing he’d ever seen, he didn’t know what was.
She was writhing underneath him as he took her nipple in his mouth through the fabric of her bra, her back arching with pleasure as her pussy clenched around nothing. She could feel him smirk against her skin as he kissed his way down her abdomen, stopping at the waist of her leggings. He looked up, silently questioning if he could continue. He smiled wickedly as she nodded in approval, sliding them and her panties down in one pull.
“You’re so beautiful, Y/N,” he whispered as he ran his hands down her legs, spreading them slowly so he could see all of her.
Dean sat back, taking a moment to just admire the woman lying there before him. He could never express his gratitude for being here with her like this, and it wasn’t about just the sex. He knew what she was giving him and how special it was, and he wouldn’t take it for granted. He wanted to give himself to her wholly, but he had never been so happy and terrified. This wasn’t some one-night stand that would walk away in the morning. She was his best friend, and that scared the shit out of him. What if he couldn’t make her happy? She deserved the world, and he didn’t know if he could be the one to give that to her.
“Dean, stop,”
His eyes shot to hers. This was it. She had finally realized that she was making a mistake. He hung his head, knowing she was too good for him. He should’ve known that he would never deserve someone like her. He turned to reach for her shirt to give back to her when he felt her hand on his cheek, making him look at her.
“I can see what you’re thinking, and I want this. I want you, Dean. I’ve wanted you for so long...Please...Please, Dean, make me yours,” she said, tracing his bottom lip with her thumb, “Make me your girl.”
The dam had broken. Every emotion he had kept bottled up where it concerned Y/N was now at the surface, and it was overwhelming, to say the least. She wanted him, was begging for him, and who was he to not give her what she wanted.
In a flurry of limbs, he had his jeans and boxers off in record speed. He nestled himself back between her legs, caging her in with his arms, his mouth crushing hers, trying to show her exactly how he felt without words. She slid her arms down his back to his hips, pulling him to grind against her, both of them groaning at the feeling. He moved his hand between them, running a finger through her soaked folds, teasing her entrance with the tip of his finger.
“So wet for me, sweetheart,” he groaned in her ear, “I haven’t even tasted you yet.”
“Not this time, please! I need you inside me,” she begged, not wanting to waste another second before she felt him.
“I have to get you ready for me first.”
He pushed his middle finger deep into her heat, slowly dragging it in and out before adding his index finger. The way she was moaning and clutching for him made it hard not to slam home right then, but he also wanted to make her come on his fingers. He moved his thumb to slowly circle her clit as his fingers moved inside her faster.
“D, please! I’m gonna...I’m…”
She couldn’t finish her sentence before she came hard on his fingers, soaking his palm with her juices. Her body shook with her release as she cried out, grinding her hips down on his hand. She swore she had seen stars. No one had ever made her come that hard with their fingers. He slowed down his pace as she came down, going limp, eyes shut tight and breathing hard. She could hear him sucking her taste off his fingers, making her shiver.
“Fuck…,”  she huffed, finally opening her eyes to see him smiling down at her.
“There she is…,” he chuckled, leaning down to kiss her softly, “You okay?”
She didn’t answer. Instead, she rolled him over to his back, straddling his hips. She didn’t wait as she grabbed his hard cock, lining it up with her and sinking down. The feeling of being so full, him stretching her so good, almost had her coming again. His size made her have to adjust for a moment. He was bigger than anyone she had ever had, and she could feel the difference.
She pressed her hands to his chest for leverage and began moving, riding him slowly and making him go deep. Her moans soon drowned out the song playing in the background as she felt the coil in her belly tighten again.
“That’s it, sweetheart, take what you want,” He growled, fighting hard to stave off his release.
“Dean...Oh, God…I’m so close.”
“Let go for me,” he said, reaching up to cup her chin in his hand, forcing her to look him in the eye, “Come, baby girl.”
It was almost like her body was at his command. The coil snapped as soon as the words left his mouth, sending a white-hot heat coursing through her. Her body collapsed on his chest, his arms holding her to him as he thrust up into her, working her through her high. He captured her lips as he rolls them over, placing her leg over his hip as he drives himself deep, whispering praises in her ear.
“You feel so good, Y/N. So wet and tight for me.”
“Dean, please…” she begged, unsure what she was begging for anymore.
“I’ve got you. I’ll always have you, baby girl,” he growled into her shoulder, fighting back his orgasm. He refused to let go until she came around him again, “Touch yourself for me. Come again.”
She whined at the sensitivity as she circled her throbbing bud. She didn’t think she could come again, completely blissed out from the two times she had already, but to her surprise, the coil started to wind tight again, her release right on the edge. Dean thrust in hard while he pulled her nipple in his mouth, and that’s all it took to send her flying off the edge. She came with his name passing her lips in a chant as her eyes rolled back in her head. Her pussy clenching around him threw Dean over with her, stilling deep as he filled her up, whispering her name in her ear over and over.
Neither wanted to move, both enjoying the post-sex haze, but now also scared of what would happen next. Dean was the one to break the stillness as he rolled away, pulling her back to his chest as they lay on the couch. He nuzzled his face into the back of her neck, breathing in the smell of hair as it cascaded across his face. If this ended up being a one-time thing, he wanted to enjoy this little bit of peace that he hadn’t felt in a long time. Hell, he didn’t know if he had ever felt peace like this.
“Dean,” she whispered, breaking the silence between them.
“Yeah, sweetheart?”
“What happens now?” her voice was so soft that he barely heard her.
He stayed quiet for a moment. Seriously thinking of how he wanted to answer her. He knew for a fact that he couldn’t go back to being her friend now. He was absolutely gone on her, and she needed to know it. He pulled her tighter against him as he began to speak.
“Well, I’m not sure how you feel, but Y/N, there’s no turning back for me now. I’ve wanted you for so damn long, and now that I have you, I can’t be just your friend anymore. If you haven’t noticed by now, I’m head over heels for you, sweetheart, and I’m all in. That is if you’ll have me.”
“All I’ve ever wanted was you,” she smiled, squeezing his hand that was resting on her stomach.
He kissed her head before he started to laugh softly, “I’m so damn glad I took the time to learn that dance.”
She turned in his arms quickly, looking at him in shock, “You learned that just for me?”
“Well, you said that a man that can dance is sexy,” he chuckled, kissing the tip of her nose.
“You didn’t have to learn that to be sexy, Dean.”
“Well, then, I don’t have to worry about having to dance again,” he smirked at her.
“No! I never said that. You were already sexy, but that dance made you extra sexy,” she giggled as he tickled her side.
“Whatever you say, sweetheart,” he chided, grabbing the blanket off the back of the couch and covering them.
That night, they lay cuddled on the couch, stealing kisses and never taking their hands off each other. Both of them eventually fell into a blissful sleep. The first night of many that they slept in each other’s arms.

In the Supernatural episode ‘Scarecrow’, when Sam and Dean fight and Sam takes off, Y/N leaves with Sam and is proud of Sam for standing up to Dean.
Y/N watched as Sam and Dean argued back and forth on whether to listen to their father, John Winchester, and go on a case with missing couples in a small town in Indiana, or go to a California, and help John track down the demon that killed their mom.
"Dad said it wasn't safe for any of us." Dean said. "I mean, he obviously knows something that we don't. So, if he says to stay away, we stay away."
"Which is all the more reason to go and ask him." Y/N said. "And John's not the boss of me. I don't follow his orders."
"This has nothing to do with you, witch." Dean looks at him. "This is a family matter, and you ain't family."
"No, he's right, Dean. I don't understand the blind faith you have in the man. I mean, it's like you don't even question him." Sam said.
"Yeah, it's called being a good son. Something you know nothing about." Dean said, a flash of anger on his handsome face. It was silent between them for a moment, before Sam huffed, and unlocked the door and got out. Dean has a look of regret as he put his map down and got out, and so did Y/N.
They find Sam opening the trunk for his back and some supplies. You're a selfish bastard, you know that? You just do whatever you want. You don't care what anybody thinks."
"I guess you both have that in common. Since you act the same way. Just more lewd and sexual." Y/N said.
"You shut your damn mouth, kid. If I want your two cents, I'll ask for it." Dean glared at Y/N.
"Am I supposed to be afraid of you? I've seen Celebrity Demons scarier than you."
Dean moves towards him, but Sam gets in between them. "Back off, Dean."
"Are you seriously protecting him? He's a witch, Sammy."
"Yeah, well, he gets me more than you do. He actually listens to me."
"Oh, boo-hoo, Sammy. Cry me a fucking river." Dean said.
"Well, you know what? This 'selfish bastard' is going to California. Y/N, you coming?" Sam shoulders his backpack.
"You bet." Y/N grabbed his backpack. They started to walk down the road together. "Oh come on. You're not serious."
"We are serious."
"It's the middle of the night."
"Duh? What gave it away? The night sky, or the stars?" Y/N asked.
"Hey, I'm taking off and I will leave your asses, you hear me?" Dean warned.
Sam turns to him. "That's what we want you to do."
Dean huffed. "Goodbye, Sam. Y/N." He closed the trunk and got in the driver's side of the car, and drove away down the dark road.
Sam sighed when Dean's was no longer in sight. "Well, that was shit."
"I thought it was very cool. The way you stood up to Dean. I'm proud of you, Sam." Y/N smiled.
Sam blushed. "Thanks, Y/N."

it's 0:03 on the 24th of january, 2003 and dean is 24 years old. he's lonely and scared and his dad hasn't seen him in person in over nine months. he doesn't really know what to do. he wanders the continent waiting for his father to text him the details of a hunt (john doesn't even bother calling anymore) and when he does, dean goes. he finds something to put his fist through. finds somewhere to kill his liver. finds someone to keep him warm at night. it's all very tideous and empty and he doesn't know how long he's supposed to sustain himself like this.
dean's 24, and his dad doesn't call on his birthday. his brother doesn't either. there was a time when sam would pretend to be asleep, but he'd really be hiding under the covers with candy he bought with change he'd pilfered (badly) from dean's pockets, waiting for the clock to strike midnight so he could "surprise" dean. but that was when dean was 8, 10, 12. dean's 24 now, and his brother doesn't give a shit.
the world feels like it's moving fast when you're 24. you think you've seen all you can already, think you've met everyone you're ever going to meet. wherever you are, whatever you're doing, it feels like that's all there is. forever.
dean's 24, and he's shit faced in a podunk town somewhere in middle america with six bucks to his name and a colt under his jacket.
it's a bleak fucking forever, and he isn't sure what he's supposed to do about it. there's that feeling in his chest like some sonofabitch has its claws stuck in there. he can't breathe. he can't think. he's scared, kind of, but he doesn't even know what he's scared of.
it's a shitty fucking feeling.
dean's 24, and he really, really just wants his mom. his family. he wants a degree, and he wants to see the proud smile on mary's face — lined, it would be lined, because dean's 24 now — when she hangs it up in the foyer. he wants —
well. whatever. it doesn't matter. dean's 24. and alone. and he thinks that's all he's ever going to be.
but dean's only 24, and there's a lot he doesn't know.
~
it's 00:03 on the 24th of january, 2023 and dean winchester is 44 years old.
he's putting on a show of being annoyed at being woken up at midnight, grumbling and grouching, but really, he's preening under all the attention.
his house — and he has a house — is a mess. he's been corralled onto the couch by jody's girls who crowd around him as he waits for the birthday cake — or pie, he isn't sure yet — to arrive. they joke over his head like he there isn't six feet and change of person between them, and it makes him want to smile.
dean's 44, and his life is slow, and quiet. there's a ring on his left hand and no gun under his pillow. the only time he wields a knife these days is when he's cooking for his family. his hair is more salt than it is pepper, and his knees hurt when he bends them. he's got glasses and hearing aids and he's traded in his heeled boots for orthopedic shoes.
all this is not forever, not really, but he likes whatever it is. there's this feeling in his chest, like maybe an angel's pressed a palm to it and is blessing him. like sunshine. or a good meal. or the sound of his family being dorky in the room over. he's happy, is the thing. he's so damn happy.
dean's 44. he's got an angel for a husband and a band of almost-kids he loves so much he doesn't know what to do with it. his mother's here, too. his mother's here. her face is lined— just like his, because dean's 44 now — and when she smiles, it feels like the world is sighing. like it'll be okay.
it's a good feeling.
it's the 24th of january, 2023, and it is a birthday pie. there's a candle that he blows, and the noise following that is loud enough that he almost worries about the neighbours.
"happy birthday, dean!" they all say — mother, brother, son, husband, and the girls. his family.
cas— his cas, who's here, he's here—holds dean's face in his hands, kisses his forehead.
"i love you," he says. "you, too. always," dean replies.
dean's 44, and his life is good. it's more than good. there's so much he doesn't know, but he's not too worried about all that, because he's not alone.
life happens. they'll deal.

This was not happening. Absolutely NOT happening. It couldn't be. You had been so very careful. Yet, the two little lines glaring up from the test in your hand mocked you. You wanted to scream and cry at the same time. You were a hunter, for goodness sake! Dean was a hunter. A baby was not in the plan yet, even though you wanted to be parents some day.
"Sweetheart?" Dean's voice carried through the door of the dingy motel bathroom, "You okay?" You nodded before remembering that he couldn't see you. "Yeah. Not feeling well. I think I should stay behind." After a beat, Dean spoke again. "Alright. Lock the door. I'll call you when we're on the way back. We'll stop and get you something to help you feel better."
"Dean? I love you," you called out to him. He chuckled. "I love you too, Sweetheart." You smiled a bit as you glanced back down. How were you going to tell him? What were you going to do?
*time skip*
"Why are we doing this again?" Sam asked, earning an eye roll from you. Dean had warmed up to the fact that your friend was now a werewolf, but Sam hadn't exactly taken the news well. "Because Garth asked us to, Sam. Werewolf or not, he's still our friend just like Cas and Benny," you replied as you fiddled with the sleeves of your too-big hoodie. When Dean had questioned why you bought such an oversized garment, you'd simply shrugged and told him you were tired of being cold all the time.
In truth, you were using the thing to hide your soon-to-be obvious baby bump. You'd managed so far as until the last couple of weeks, you could explain it away as eating a little more. Which you were. But you just hadn't been able to pluck up the courage to tell Dean that he was going to be a father. The only other person that knew was Cas, because ya know, angels and all that. You'd begged him not to say anything to Dean. You never imagined that it would be Garth that blabbed your secret. At the dinner table.
You somehow managed to end up sitting with Garth on one side and Dean on your other. Garth's wife was an amazing cook and you were really enjoying it. That is, until that damned morning sickness hit again. "You okay, sweetheart?" Dean asked, noticing how you stopped eating suddenly and closed your eyes. You opened them and tried to smile as you nodded.
"Morning sickness sucks, huh?" Garth commented, "I remember Bess when she was pregnant with our first." Your head snapped over to Garth as you stared at him with wide eyes. "Morning sickness? But she's not-" Dean cut off when he noticed you had stiffened up and weren't denying anything. "Baby?" You continued to stare at Garth even as tears threatened to fall.
"He didn't know?" Garth asked and you shook your head slowly. "H-How did you know?" you questioned with a soft voice. "Werewolves have a super sense of smell. You-You smell different. You're acting different. And you're looking sick over one of your favorite meals." You finally glanced over at Dean. He looked shocked. Shocked and angry. Very angry. Needless to say, the rest of dinner was a rather awkward affair.
Dean was silent as the three of you headed back to your motel for the night before heading back to the bunker the next day. His eyes remained fixed on the road as his knuckles turned white with how tightly he gripped the steering wheel. Neither you nor Sam said a word either. Dean needed time to process and you needed time to figure out how you were going to explain everything to him.
Sam practically ran to his room when the three of you pulled into the motel parking lot. You followed slowly behind Dean, unsure if he would want you sharing the room that night. Luckily for you, Dean held the door open until you'd made it into the room. You instantly sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for Dean to say something. You knew he wouldn't yell at you or anything like that, but breaking up over this was obviously one of the top thoughts in your head. Five year relationship down the drain, just like that. And you wouldn't have blamed him for it.
"How long?" he suddenly asked, making you jump. "W-What?"
"How long have you been pregnant? How long have you known?" You bit your lip as tears welled up in your eyes. Damn hormones. "About four months. I haven't been to a doc since the last one confirmed that the pregnancy test was right. I've known for a couple months now, maybe two and a half. It's why I've been sticking to research." You let your gaze travel up to Dean's face. He didn't look angry anymore at least.
"Why didn't you tell me?" You shrugged a little. "When could I have? You've been on back-to-back hunts for weeks. Not to mention that it's not exactly a good time for this." You let your head fall forward so your eyes were on the floor again. Your voice was soft and you hated it. You hated feeling this weak, especially in front of the love of your life. "I wasn't sure if-if you'd want it," you whispered after a moment when Dean didn't answer you.
Dean was suddenly squatting in front of you, his fingers lifting your chin so he could look into your eyes. "Sweetheart, there is nothing I want more. I knew from the moment I met you that I wanted this. The whole white-picket fence crap. It's a horrible time, sure, but I want this if you do. I wish you would have told me. I hate that I had to find out from Garth."
"I'm so sorry, Dean. I just didn't know how to tell you." He reached up to wipe the tears from your cheeks. You took his other hand and placed it on your stomach. "I love you, Dean and I'm sorry. No more secrets, I promise." He raised up a bit so he could kiss your forehead. "I love you too."
(a/n: I hope you like it! I AM working on something for Tolkien, it’s just taking a while so I thought I’d give you something in the meantime.)

@scoobydoodean had been posting about 4x17 It's A Terrible Life and it's reminded me of one of my favorite overlooked bits in the episode and how it shows that Zachariah is just wrong about Dean.
Zachariah's whole theory with this little experiment is that Dean will choose hunting.
ZACHARIAH To prove to you that the path you're on is truly in your blood. You're a hunter. Not because your dad made you, not because God called you back from hell, but because it is what you are. And you love it. You'll find your way to it in the dark every single time and you're miserable without it. Dean, let's be real here. You're good at this. You'll be successful. You will stop it.
But Dean has expressly denied hunting already at the end of the last act:
SAM Look, all I know is this isn't who we're supposed to be. DEAN No. I'm Dean Smith, okay? Director of Sales and Marketing. I went to Stanford. My father's name is Bob, my mother's name is Ellen, and my sister's name is Jo. SAM When was the last time you talked to them? To any of them? DEAN Okay, you're upset. You're upset, you're confused— SAM Yeah, 'cause I only moved here 'cause I just broke up with my fiancée, Madison. But I called her number and I got a damn animal hospital. DEAN Okay. What are you saying? Are you trying to say that my family isn't real? Huh? That we've been injected with fake memories? Come on. SAM All I know is, I got this feeling in my gut. And I know—I know that deep down, you gotta be feeling it too. We're supposed to be something else. You're not just some corporate douchebag. This isn't you. I know you. DEAN Know me? You don't know me, pal. You should go. SAM leaves.
Sam tried to get Dean to drop everything and go hunting. They stopped a ghost! It was fun! They could do this, but Dean's not going to give up his life for it. Dean has no intention of turning his life upside down to start hunting and it's not until Zachariah lays out one of the most depressing 10 year plan ever:
ADLER Positive. You are Sandover material, son. Real go-getter. Carving your own way. DEAN Well, thanks. I try. ADLER I see big things in your future. Maybe even senior VP, Eastern Great Lakes Division. Don't get me wrong, you'll have to work for it. Seven days a week, lunch at your desk, but in eight to ten short years, that could be you. DEAN takes off his headset. DEAN Uh, well, thank you. Thank you, sir. It's, um...but... DEAN passes the paper back. DEAN I am giving my notice.
He's already the director of marketing and sales and his career plan is 10 years of nothing but work to make VP of a division? Probably a small division? Everyone would quit with that laid out. Maybe not as directly as Dean does, but yeah, they'd be going home and revamping the resume. That's a dead end career path you'd have to bust your ass and give up your life for.
Hearing that and going "hmm, maybe I take some time and check out that hunting thing with that Wesson guy. He was less creepy once we started working on the haunting, for the most part" is actually a pretty normal thing to do.
And really Zachariah doesn't even give him the chance to go find Sam. Because there's actually a good chance Dean gets home and after thinking about it he just updates his resume and LinkedIn. He had to give Dean back his memories in that exact moment in order to try and leverage the situation to his advantage.
Zachariah stacked the deck and still barely managed to get Dean to quit his job. Dean wasn't running to hunting with open arms. He was, at best, looking at it as a more viable option than the shitty 10 year plan Mr. Adler just laid out. And Zachariah couldn't wait for him to actually choose hunting, he had to strike before Dean could second guess himself.
(Even Sam is making the choice between IT support call center or ghost hunting. This isn't hard.)

There’s a lot to like about The Winchesters, but I think one of the reasons it hits so hard for me is that it solves my biggest problem with the finale. Personally, I don’t have a problem with tragic endings. The season 5 finale of Spn has a tragic ending, and I think it’s a wonderful feat of storytelling. Aside from the fact that 15x20 tried to pretend it wasn’t tragic and tried to make it seem like Sam and Dean standing alone on a bridge in Heaven was a happy ending, what I hated most about the finale was they had to flatten Dean into a two-dimensional caricature of himself to do it. Aside from maybe the revelation that Dean stood outside Sam’s apartment at Stanford for hours trying to psych himself up to go in because he was nervous Sam would turn him away, there was no moment in the episode that Dean felt like the complex, nuanced character we had come to know and love over the past 15 seasons. He had no desires or characterisation beyond pie, car and Sammy. There was no sign of all the growth we’ve seen from him, no hint of his own needs, wants or sense of self. I mean, he wasn’t even allowed to interact with his own heaven before Sam showed up. Even after his death, he was never allowed to have anything that was just his.
Look, I’ve said all this a hundred times before – if you look at my 15x20 tag, it’s basically just this sentiment repeated over and over again – so why am I saying it again now? Well, because The Winchesters is fixing that. The mission Dean is on is all his. It’s not about Sam, or pie or whatever surface level bullshit that finale tried to boil Dean down to. He’s going back to the past, he’s meddling in something insane because he sees value in it, and in the process going on a journey to understand himself better. His narration makes it pretty clear that through this quest he’s learning to contextualise his own life and feelings better. The past presents the future, after all (full disclosure, that’s an Ugly Betty episode title that I just really loved and use far too often in casual conversation), and one of the biggest hang ups in Dean’s life was that he was given this mythologised version of events and expected to believe them. Mary was this perfect saintly mother who sat at home baking cookies all day before she was brutally, and through no fault of her own, ripped away from them. John was the perfect mild-mannered husband and father who only slid into anger and obsession after he lost his perfect wife.
Eventually Dean realises that none of that is true. Mary couldn’t cook. She was a hunter. She was involved in the circumstances that brought about her own death. She was a complicated person, and in the end he got the chance to see that knowing the real her, flaws and all, was infinitely superior to believing the white-washed fairytale about the perfect martyr that John created after she died. There’s also the fact that John was never the perfect husband or father, even before Mary’s death. We get maybe one reference to that in Spn, how in Dean’s heaven in season 5 he remembers John and Mary fighting and John moving out for a few days, but not much else. The focus is very much on how John turned into a neglectful parent and an angry man after Mary’s death. But The Winchesters is working hard to dispel that lie. John always had this anger in him. Mary even calls him out multiple times on how he’s using her and their relationship as an excuse to avoid his issues. She straight up uses those words. There are also references to how raising your kids to be soldiers and being their drill sergeant rather than their parent is one of the worst things a parent can do to their child.
Anyway, as interesting as it is to see all these things addressed in the Spn universe, what’s so damn satisfying is seeing Dean realise it. Dean’s on a mission to learn more about his past. To understand that our parents and where we come from shapes and moulds the people we become, but it doesn’t have to define us forever if we don’t let it. By accepting his past and finding out the truth about who his parents truly were, he can accept himself and move forward, free of whatever baggage that had been dragging him down for so much of his life.
And the greatest part about all of this, is that Dean’s the one driving this story. It’s not God, or his father or even his duty to take care of Sam which dictated so much of his life and his choices before. This is about Dean’s choices and who he is as a person and what he wants. It’s funny because as little as we saw John Winchester in season 1 of Spn, he was very much the spectre hanging over the story, and the search to find him is what drove much of the plot throughout the season. Much of what his sons were doing was in reaction to him. And now in The Winchesters, Dean himself is the spectre that’s been hanging over the season. He’s the one making the big moves and steering the action. He’s the one everyone, friend and foe alike, is looking for. He’s the one who gave John the note and put this whole thing into motion. After the ending of Spn took away so much of his agency and everything that makes Dean Dean, he’s finally getting it back and then some.
I’m excited to see how the season’s going to end, but I’ll forever be happy that this show gave us Dean being his own person again. He’s the one picking the music this time.

could i also request an imagine where it's reader and roman's wedding day and it's like a story from a fairytale and they exchange their vows that either make everyone laugh or cry because they're just so in love with each other that all the guests can feel their endless love (i'm a hopeless romantic)
WILDEST DREAMS, roman reigns.
Tumblr media
warnings: curse words, inaccurate events

summary: it's your big day and you couldn't help but to look back at your memories
THE sound of footsteps filled your eardrums as you focused on your reflection. “damn, (y/n) you look amazing!” your best friends, trinity and jimmy, entered the room. “you look amazing too, trin!” you complimented her. “how are you feeling?” jimmy sat down next to you, while trin helped you fix your dress. “terrible. what if i trip down the aisle?” “then we'll fall with you, we got you always.” she always had a way to cheer you up. “it’ll be okay, (y/n).” trin patted your back as you hugged her.
today was your wedding day. after countless days of planning, the day finally came. your fiancé and you were finally going to tie the knot. "right, you ready?" your dad asked you, looking confused at your state. "no, i'm not." you stuttered, anxiousness filling your veins. "hey, hey. it's going to be okay." he walked over to you, to lift your veil. "it's your big day today," your father paused for a second, holding back his tears. "you're my brave girl, this isn't anything compared to what you've been through." with that, you walked down the altar.
everyone's attention turned to you and you immediately made eye-contact with your soon-to-be husband. there he was, with the biggest smile plastered on his face. as soon as you were facing him, you couldn't help but to stifle a chuckle. that made him mimic your gesture and the two of you ended up smiling stupidly at each other. “you look beautiful.” he said. “you look pretty too.” and the ceremony began. the beach was filled with your loved ones; friends, family, and colleagues. everyone was there to watch you tie the knot with your partner.
“friends and family of (y/n) and roman… welcome and thank you for being here on this important day. we are gathered together to celebrate the very special love between bride and groom, by joining them in marriage.” the officiant stated, looking at the two of you with a smile. you couldn’t stop staring at the man in front of you, eyes filled with joy and love.
roman thought long and hard for his vows, he was finally going to say them in front of you. he took the microphone and he was ready to recite them. "(y/n), the first day i saw you... you were with alone, i remember being starstruck, not knowing what to say. our first impressions weren't so good. you picked up a fight the moment i stepped inside the room." the guests laugh at roman's sentence.
“do you want to meet your cousins first?” seth asked, tidying up his outfit before their showtime. "think you should go see them first." dean added. “sure, i’ll meet y'all back here.” roman was finally debuting in the main roster and he was nervous. the first thing he wanted to do when he arrived was meet his cousins. he didn’t knock on the door, he knew that his cousins would be there. to his surprise, jimmy and jey weren’t there, but a familiar face greeted him instead.
it was you. roman was always a big fan of you, especially with your current run. he stood there, not knowing what to say. “can i help you?” you raised a brow, eyeing him from head to toe. “uh…” roman muttered. “hello?” you said once again. “well, if you don’t have anything to say, move along, i’m trying to get dressed.” you closed the door on his face, causing him to tilt his head in confusion.
“damn, uce! been a long time since we seen you!” to his luck, his cousins greeted him from behind. “what are you doing standing here? let’s go chill a bit in our locker room!” jimmy opened the door and roman once again made eye contact with you. “(y/n)! have you met roman? this is our cousin and it’s his first day here.” jey introduced him to you. “oh, hi! sorry, i thought you were just messing around by standing in front of the door not saying anything… i’m (y/n), nice to meet you!” “nice to meet you too, i’m roman.”
you laughed at the memory. you were so used to your male coworkers messing around, you thought he was also going to mess with you. “i actually thought you were going to slam me to the ground… i was so scared of you, baby. remembering that moment actually made me shiver… can y’all believe it? i was terrified of her.”
“but when i got to know you, i think that changed my life. remember our first date? they were trying to set us up and it actually worked. i can’t believe that bar date made me fall in love with you… in the middle of nowhere, just the two of us. i’d take that stale beer any day.”
no one picked up his call. dean, seth, and the twins were no where to be seen. so there he was, sitting all alone in the booth with a beer. they were going to have a night out, but once again, no one answered his call. the bar was crowded but he couldn't careless, it was a busy day and he deserved a pint of cold beer. he laid his head on the table, feeling tired.
"hey! didn't expect to see you here." a familiar voice made him look up from his current position. you were standing in front of him, clearly confused. "oh, hey! what are you doing here?" roman furrowed his brows. "jey, jimmy, and your two funny friends asked me to come here for a night out..." you took a seat in front him. "same, but no one answered my call." roman shrugged his shoulders. "yeah, they didn't answer me too." then it clicked. "they set us up." you chuckled. roman felt his cheeks reddening. "oh, then i don't mind."
that specific date replayed in your mind. the boys set you up with him and you were thankful. you looked at seth who was sitting down and gave him a wink as he was the mastermind behind that plan. "who would've thought a glass of beer in a random city would lead me standing here in front of you, i'm so thankful for you. i love you and i can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, (y/n)." that made you tear up.
"no one knows about this but i actually cried before going out because i used to daydream about our wedding and it was exactly like this. us on the beach, you looking beautiful as ever... and me being nervous just by saying my vows. you really make me weak. the thought of waking up to you every morning is something to look forward to, (y/n). i love you and i will always do."
roman was always a romantic boyfriend. you knew that he'd give the world to you and you'd do the same. the amount of sacrifices the two of you made were countless–and it was all worth it in the end. "you're gonna make me cry." you mouthed at him. "you're already crying." he joked.
it was your time to say your vows. you breathed out the warm and fresh air of the beach, preparing yourself. "i didn't believe in love at all. when i was caught up in my own feelings for roman, i was in denial of my own feelings. it's not shocking and everyone knew that i was practically against dating people from work... but he changed my perception of love."
"so you do actually love him?" jey asked, taking a bite of his bland catering food. "i do! but you know how hard it is for me to actually say it to him." you were stressed out. you were getting your makeup done and jey was there, bothering you like usual. "damn girl, just talk it out with him. he's practically head over heels for you." jey shrugged his shoulders. "thanks jasmine." you thanked the makeup artist and faced jey, who was sitting in front of you. "i can't... it's hard."
you were never one to be mushy and affectionate, but being with roman changed you. the countless dates, the butterflies in your stomach every time you made eye-contact, and the thought of him... everything made you weak to your knees. he was the one and you knew it. but you couldn't help but to push it all deep inside you as you were scared of being deep in your feelings. you were on top of your game, your career was flourishing and nothing could stop you from focusing on work.
nothing but a certain black-haired man who was carrying a bouquet of flowers, walking towards you. "hi beautiful." you smiled at him. "hey, who are these for?" you teased him. "just for charles, since i bump him a lot." he joked. you rolled your eyes. "it's for you of course." he ruffled your hair. "what's the special occasion? is it my birthday today?" you took the bouquet and put it inside your locker. "just wanted to give my pretty girl some flowers, i should do this very often tho. you deserve all the pretty flowers."
"and i thought to myself, well if this is love then i don't mind being loved forever by you." you cracked a smile, feeling tears slowly falling down your cheeks. "now my makeup is ruined but i don't care, i can't express how much i truly love you." roman chuckled, wiping the tears off your face. "it's okay, you still look beautiful as always."
"you were always there for me, baby." you continued, holding his hands tighter than before. "whether it was a sad day or a tiresome day, you were there. with your stupid smile and flowers. i sometimes feel like i don't deserve your love at all." you admitted. "but you made me realize that everyone deserves to be loved. you're my one and only, i can't imagine my life without you."
roman too, was in tears. the guests were deep in their feelings. people who were close to you knew that you were meant to be with him. ever since he stepped into the industry and became close to you, the two of you became inseparable. there was no roman without you and it goes the same way for you.
"without you, i'd probably still be all alone... maybe bothering trin and jimmy non stop like i usually did. my life has always been monotone but you came into it and suddenly, i saw nothing but colors. you really light up my world, love. i love you and like you said, i too, can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
"do you, take (y/n) to be your wedded wife, to cherish in love and in friendship, in strength and in weakness, in success and in disappointment, to love her faithfully, today, tomorrow, and for as long as the two of you shall live?" "i do." the officiant looked at you. "and do you, take roman to be your wedded husband, to cherish in love and in friendship, in strength and in weakness, in success and in disappointment, to love him faithfully, today, tomorrow, and for as long as the two of you shall live?" "i do." the officiant smiled. "you may now kiss the bride."
the night went on and you were dancing with your husband. you made eye-contact with him and a grin spread on your face. "what are you smiling for?" he teased you. "i don't know, i'm happy." you chuckled. "i'm happy too..." he muttered, kissing your forehead. "you said that you daydreamed about our wedding... i really got into your head, huh?" "shut up, you know you're insatiable."
"looking back at our memories... and now we're here." you said. "it felt like it was only yesterday you threatened to break my arm because you wanted the last cup of coffee." you chuckled at that memory. "and you were actually scared of me, love." "i was, but look at us now. i wouldn't trade anything for our moments." he held your waist, serenading you to the music. "i love you, joe." you looked up to him. "and i love you too, (y/n). but i think you already know that."
a/n: omg... finally finished w this request... i'm sorry it took so long but to whoever requested this i hope you enjoyed it bc i got all mushy writing this </33 i just love writing couples looking back at their past memories ^__^ feedbacks are highly appreciated <3

“What about angels?” Dean turns his gaze to Cas over the rim of his beer bottle.
“What about them?” Cas answers, his gaze unwavering as ever as it meets Dean’s steadily from his spot in the chair next to Dean.
“Do they have any, y’know?” Dean gestures vaguely in the air with the hand that isn’t holding his beer.
Cas sighs. “No, Dean, I don’t know.”
Dean suspects that isn’t actually true. Cas has been good at reading Dean like an open book and to filth equally and simultaneously practically since the moment they met and he has never had any qualms about stating Dean’s unspoken truths if he felt it was necessary, no matter how Dean felt about it. So he certainly would be able to follow the thought process Dean had followed to jump from their previous topic to this one. But sometimes Cas just liked to fuck with Dean, and other times he liked to force Dean to communicate clearly, despite them both being on the same page and knowing it.
“Mating rituals.” Dean supplies because it becomes clear that whether Cas knew what he meant or not, he wasn’t going to offer anything further to this conversation unless Dean started it.
“You’re asking about angel mating rituals?” Cas asks with enough surprise that Dean briefly thinks that maybe he really didn’t know.
“Well,” Dean shrugs and takes a long draw of his beer. “Yeah.”
Cas’s gaze turns curious as it pierces into Dean, and he looks like he would love to probe around in Dean’s head for some sort of explanation. “Angels don’t—“
“Wait!” Dean cuts him off before he gets a chance to answer. “I want to guess.” He swirls the remaining half of the beer around in his bottle while he thinks before snapping a finger and pointing it at Cas. “I bet you’re like peacocks! You fluff your feathers up all big and do some dorky dance.”
The look on Cas’s face is priceless— somewhere between shocked and incredulous and Dean wants to commit it to memory forever. “No, Dean.”
“Damn.” Dean mumbles, reclining in his seat. “What about a nest? Do you build nests for your mates? Not with like twigs and shit, obviously, but— I dunno, pillows or blankets or something?”
“I believe that’s called a pillow fort.” Cas supplies dryly.
“I’ll take that as a no, then.” Dean taps a finger along the edge of his beer bottle, the condensation cool against his fingertip. “Find a shiny rock and gift that to them? Or like, a pretty piece of glass or something?”
Cas’s expression has turned long-suffering. “Are you going to compare me to every feathered creature you know?”
“Yeah,” Dean doesn’t even try to hide his own self-satisfied amusement. “If you give me long enough.”
Dean tries to think of anything that he can actually picture Cas doing. Because yeah, Cas likes shiny rocks and pretty glass as much as anybody does just because they’re nice to look at, but he doesn’t seem overly affected by them. And yeah, when he naps, he’s been known to find the softest and coziest blanket to curl up with, but that’s just smart. Dean has never seen Cas’s wings, so that’s a fifty-fifty shot, he supposes, but he’s also never seen Cas dance and can’t even picture it in his head.
“Well, allow me to spare us a long— though very enlightening, I’m sure— conversation.” Cas’s glare is unimpressed but it slides right off Dean while barely even drawing his attention. “Angels don’t have mating rituals because angels don’t mate.”
That stops all of Dean’s thoughts short. He turns his gaze back to Cas, surprised to find that Cas has turned to stare absently at one of the bookshelves in the room.
“They don’t?” Dean asks after the silence stretches thin between them.
“No.” Cas answers. And though his response is firm, it’s not mean or cold. “Angels don’t know love, Dean. At least, not romantic love. The only sort of love an angel is meant to feel is the sort of holy love for our father and his creations. The idea of romance doesn’t exist in heaven or to angels at all. There’s no need for mating rituals when mating isn’t something that would ever occur to or appeal to an angel.”
Dean thinks about this for a long time, the rim of his beer bottle pressed against his lower lip but he doesn’t take a sip.
In general, Dean has no problem believing that angels don’t love. In general, angels are selfish dicks and he can’t imagine any of them caring about anything other than themselves. In general, angels would never put someone before themselves in a way that’s required for both platonic and romantic love. But in more specific terms—
Well there is one angel who wears a trench coat and a tie that matches his eyes. There’s an angel who fell from heaven for the love of humanity. There’s an angel who has bled for love, died for love, given up everything that love is supposed to mean to an angel and completely rewritten the definition. There is an angel that has spent the better part of a decade looking at Dean in a way that he doesn’t look at anyone else, making Dean’s toes curl in his boots with the intensity of it.
“But…” the gears are turning as Dean tries to refocus his gaze on Cas. Cas isn’t looking directly at him, but Dean knows that Cas is watching him in his periphery, gauging Dean’s reaction without looking like he’s putting a significant amount of weight into it. “That’s not true.”
“Dean, I am quite certain that I know more about angels than you do.” Cas remarks.
Dean doesn’t rise to the bite of the comment. “But you love.” He says instead.
“Of course, I love humanity and the Earth very much.” Cas answers reasonably.
“Yeah,” Dean says. “I know.” And then, “but I mean romantically.”
“Dean—“
“Don’t you?” Dean challenges.
Cas doesn’t answer the question directly. “I am not a very good angel.”
“You’re the only good one.” Dean replies quickly and easily, with every ounce of sincerity he has.
Because Cas is the only good Angel. Cas is the only one who gets it, who cares, who actually wants what’s best for the world.
Cas is also the only one who can make Dean’s stomach squirm the way it does whenever he’s at Dean’s side. He’s the only one who makes Dean feel safe, the only one Dean trusts. He’s the only one Dean would ever trust or picture a future with. He’s the only one who makes Dean’s fingertips tremble, his heart stumble, his throat dry.
Granted, he’s the only person who does any of that for Dean, Angel or not.
“You think too highly of me.” Cas says before sipping his own beer that he had been nursing for the majority of the conversation.
“You’re avoiding the question.” Dean hedges.
Because— yeah, okay, Dean isn’t stupid. He sees his own feelings reflected in Cas’s eyes when Cas looks at him. He understands what it means when Cas steps closer to him, or gives up an entire goddamn army for him. Dean can be slow on the uptake with emotional shit, but he’s not that slow. And it probably helps that he sees it so clearly because he feels it so clearly in his own heart.
He knows the yearning, the longing, the desire. He knows all the fantasies of the happy-ever-after, all the filthier fantasies that fill up the days in between. He knows what it’s like to want to cling to Cas, to desperately plead with him to never leave Dean’s side. He knows the agony of their separation as acutely as possible. He gets it.
And he also knows why this has never happened, why neither of them have ever crossed that line, even though they’ve never even dared to hint at its existence before. Because he knows that what they would have— that would be forever. It would be ruinous in the most beautiful way, burning down everything around them and blazing a path to eternity. And for so many goddamn years, forever and eternity were in danger. For so many years, a future of any goddamn length was in danger.
What would be the point of starting something meant to last forever when forever didn’t exist? It hurt like enough of a bitch every time Dean lost Cas and he didn’t know if that was the last time he’d ever see him. If he’d lost his forever then, too, instead of just his best friend— well, what the hell reason would he have had to keep fighting? It was self preservation in its barest form, the knowledge that they could only keep going if they kept apart. Because that would keep them fighting, keep them determined to reach the day where forever was finally secured and they could fall into each other without reservations.
And, well, Dean hadn’t killed Chuck, but he had taken the bastard off the board so forever was well and truly theirs if they wanted it.
And Dean wanted it.
He wanted it so bad he almost didn’t know how to have it.
Cas is staring back at Dean now, seeming to go through the same mental calculations that Dean is going through. Dean just hopes that Cas has any idea how to reach out and grab the one thing they both want.
Cas takes a breath, sets his beer down.
“Yes.” He answers simply. “I do.”
Dean swallows against a dry throat. “So?” He prompts. “What’s your big game plan? You get to make up any mating ritual you want.”
“You know,” Cas says offhandedly. “If I tell you my big ‘game plan’, as you call it, you will have to give me feedback on it. How else am I meant to know if it would work?”
Dean licks his bottom lip. “I’m being trusted to approve the first ever angel mating ritual?” He aims for lighthearted, even though he can feel his pulse in his fingertips. “Lay it on me.”
“Well,” Cas doesn’t sound as nervous as Dean feels, even though he knows that he doesn’t really have any reason to feel that way. “I was thinking that I would start with the classic spark— maybe have multiple, raining down.”
Dean chokes on half of a disbelieving laugh.
“Then I would spend about, oh, over a decade at his side, always coming when he called and leaving when he got sick of me. I would try very, very hard to navigate his boundaries and I would be unsuccessful.” Cas’s smile is wry. “I would betray him a time or two.”
“Keep him guessing.” Dean says, the smile clear in his voice.
“Exactly.” Cas is smiling more genuinely now. “I would probably die for him a few times, too. Maybe even accidentally start a family with him.”
Dean has set his own beer down now. “You gotta add in some, like, intense eye contact, or something.”
“And no personal space.” Cas agrees with a nod.
Dean laughs outright now, the nerves draining completely from his body. He had no idea the conversation would steer this way when he had asked what he assumed was an innocent enough question, but he’s glad that it did. Because if he’d had time to prepare for this conversation, time to anticipate it, he knows that he would’ve chickened out. Just like he has so many times in the past.
When his laughter dies down, Cas says “well?”
“What can I say, man?” Dean leans onto the armrest of his chair, putting himself closer to Cas. “It would work on me.”
“Oh, would it?” Cas asks as he, too, leans into the barely there space that’s separating them.
“Hell yeah.” Dean murmurs, reaching across to wrap a hand around Cas’s tie. “Would have me all weak-kneed and giggling.”
Cas starts to say something back but Dean honestly doesn’t give a shit what, so he tugs on the tie and draws Cas to him, pressing a far overdue kiss to his lips. Cas, as always, meets him in the middle, a hand gently encircling Dean’s wrist as he kisses him back with ten years of pent of adoration.
One kiss turns into two, turns into seven before they finally settle back into their respective seats.
“First angel mating ritual in history,” Dean says around a satisfied smile. “And you were successful.”
“Yes, I’ll be sure to tell the other angels in case any of them have a free decade to spend seducing one of the most frustratingly stubborn men on earth.” Cas replies in a way that is full of endearment instead of the frustration he mentioned.
Dean just laughs and kisses him again.

You should be watching Pit Babe! - A Brief Review
Saddens me to think how many people are missing out on a great show because they think it’s not worth more than a trash watch, if that.
Tumblr media
I mean, realistically, is it the most amazing cinematic work of all time? No, not unless pretty-boy power bottoms with daddy issues are your thing, which in my case they are, so let's talk about Pit Babe!
Note: I've tried to keep the spoilers to a minimum, they're mainly in the tags and links so follow them at your own risk, you've been warned.
Honestly, Pit Babe is a pretty damn good show, especially if you A) pretend the Omegaverse factor doesn’t exist and take the show for what it is and B) you don't mind not knowing what's going on half the time, just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
Overall, Pit Babe has got a good production value, a slightly absurd yet entertaining plot, a great choice of cast with amazing chemistry and pretty decent acting skills amongst the mix of seasoned actors and newbies.
For a totally biased fair and balanced review: There are some details that are left vague instead of being explained in depth or at all (yet), but that’s to be expected when you adapt a novel into a movie or series. It would get boring for the audience if the pace was interrupted to explain all those little details that we’re likely to find out along the way anyways (shout out to those who've watched the latest episode; finally!).
There are also some scenes that feel like they’re not as necessary and some background/plot devices that made a little more sense in the novel but I personally don’t feel like they detract too much from my viewing experience.
Tumblr media
Babe (played by Pavel) and Charlie (played by Pooh) as the main leads do a really good job at shouldering a large percentage of screen time. Charlie comes across as happy-go-lucky, a bit clumsy/goofy, entirely fearless and a little naive, which is mostly true, but there's clearly more to him than that. Right from the start Babe is clearly someone guarded, detirmined and skilled at what he does (racing cars and having sex) and he has a very tight cirlce of people he trusts. There's a winning combo right there, quite tsundere/sunshine from the outside but definitely more breath the surface that gets exploded as they go.
Way (played by Nut) is Babe's best friend and racing companion, they've been racing together at Team X-Hunter for years but there's clearly more than friendship on the mind for Way, though the feelings appear to be one sided.
Alan (played by Sailub) is the owner of Team X-Hunter and an all-round cool Uncle (which the whole team call's him (despite barely being in his mid 30's). He's kind but firm, he cares for his team like they’re his family and it does seem as though they’re his only family.
And the rest of the cast consists primarily of:
Team X-Hunter:
Dean (played by Lee); a junior racer with slight douche vibes
North and Sonic (played by Michael and TopTen); everyone’s babies, they’re junior racers and content creators
Jeff (played by Pon); the newest member of the team, he’s a part time mechanic and full time conspicuous
Pete (played by Ping); the money guy Alan brings on board to sponsor the team
Team Red Racing (the rival team):
Winner (played by Pop); the guy who never seems to win against Babe
Kim (played by Benz); the new racer they hired to beat Babe
Tony (played by S Vorarit); Red Racing's newest benefactor and *shock horror* Babe's former foster father (try saying that ten times fast)
Kenta (played by Garfield); Tony's right hand man
Then, there’s the 🌶🔥🤯
I, personally, enjoy a little spice/heat in my shows. It’s not necessary for every show, of course, but I do think that when it serves a purpose to the story and it’s done well then it can be quite enjoyable and this cast/production team is doing it really well.
As I said, the chemistry between the cast really is amazing (both on and off the screen, if you're interested in that kind of thing) and although the spicy scenes aren’t nearly as abundant as they are in the novel, there are some really good ones. I decided to bite the bullet and binge read the novel over the past couple of weeks, I blame @pharawee’s breakdown posts for those sleepless nights, and it was worth it for me but not necessary for watching the series.
Tumblr media
Lastly (as if this post isn't long winded enough as it is) there are a handful of things in this series that we don't see too often in BL's and make it worth watching even more:
It's got race cars, murder attempts, mafia influence and supernatural powers (at least half the characters have one).
There's no evil ex-lover out to get revenge or get back together with one of the mains (thank the BL gods).
It's got a Soft Top/Dominant Bottom dynamic where the title character is both super masc and a pretty princess.
And we can't forget, it is technically an Omegaverse series (or rather, it's Omegaverse-lite) which none of us saw coming!
Anywho, to conclude; yes, you should be watching Pit Babe. No, you don't have to read the novel to understand what's going on because none of us understand what the hell is going on at any given time. Charlie and Babe are fucking around and finding out, the rest of us are just long for the ride, Alan and Jeff are having a whole ass rom-com-drama in the corner, the babies are making their content and having a blast and the others aren't quite on the map yet (or are they? *wink, wink*), but I sure hope they will be soon!
If you made it this far, thank you and are you okay? Do you need to have your brain checked?

Okay, so, two things:
One, does Leo ever get jealous or upset when he sees kids with loving and caring parents?
Two, maybe a fic where Leo hasn’t been feeling well all day and on his way home he sees a super sweet family with a dad and a cute giggly son, and for some reason his feverish brain combined with the sweetness sends him into a depression episode. And then he goes home and takes Benadryl for his fever and his anti depressants as well, and basically over-sedates himself, and Jon gets home later to find Leo almost completely out of it and he freaks out.
I know you’re doing the mini saga rn, but I was thinking maybe you could do this after?
Sorry if this request is too long!!!😭😭!!😭

----------------
Leo knew he was not supposed to covet things that weren't his. That had been a maxim of his father and during most days Leo still agreed to it, all trauma aside.
Except during the holidays. He wasn't sure what was it about the end of the year that brought up the ugliest parts of him. Maybe it was all the fake glee or the longer nights and shorter days or the fact he wasn't practicing nearly as much sports or the fact that consumerism was off the charts and even though he could afford things now, he didn't think he'd ever get rid of that feeling in the pit of his stomach when standing in a cashier line. Maybe it was all that put together.
Or maybe it was the drilling about Holiday Spirit. In his house that had meant discounted alcoholic eggnog and much screaming, his father calling him a "little elf", school being out for recess so him being stuck in a house with no heat and an incredibly pissed off man, who was drunk off his ass.
For everyone else, though, holiday spirit meant being more kind or loving or charitable. Right. Leo rolled his eyes as he watched his coworker boast about the charity he was helping at the end of the year.
There was also the fact that the "philanthropy works" that his colleagues liked to gloated about were more often than not directed at people who were just Leo, except seven years ago.
He pressed on his keyboard with a little more force, rubbing at his temples. He had a headache from all the smells permeating the office — Sandras' peppermint candle, Chuck's cinnamon rolls he had brought for everyone else, Dean's fucking overpowering cologne his girlfriend had gifted him — and the loud noise wasn't making his life any better.
Leo sighed, squinting at his screen. Normally he could do his job in his sleep. Research had always been his forte, even back in high school, and he knew he aced it, because his boss always planted him as the paralegal for the big clients, where the lawyer would need a lot of research help in a short period of time.
Today he was struggling to put two and two together, let alone figure out if there were any similar cases that could serve as their defense. His stomach grumbled and Leo decided he needed a break from Sandra and Dean's incessant bickering, getting up and going to the coffee machine.
"Hey Wagner," Chuck opened a little smile, "what's with the sour face?"
"Headache," Leo answered truthfully, grabbing the biggest paper cup and starting the coffee machine. Damn, he really needed one of these back at home, "it's fine, there's just forty minutes more."
"That sucks man, feel better," Chuck said, but didn't move, "do you have any plans for the holiday break?"
"That's only next month," Leo wrinkled his nose in distaste. Could people stop pre-gaming for December in the middle of fucking November? Halloween had just happened-
"Well, there's thanksgiving," Chuck shrugged, "in less than two weeks."
"Oh," Leo sighed, having completely forgotten thanksgiving. He didn't think he had ever celebrated that.
"Are you going back home?"
Ha!
Leo nearly snorted in his coffee cup, instead changing it halfway so it looked like he was just blowing off the steam, "no, there's n- No. It's just me and Jon, so I'll probably do whatever his plans are."
Which Leo didn't think he had any... Jonah's plans lately were solely eat, sleep, study, hand in his final works for graduation, work. Rinse repeat.
"Hope you guys have fun," Chuck smiled brightly, before side stepping him and walking back to his desk, "get a turkey or something."
"Or something," Leo grumbled, squeezing his eyes and shuddering violently. He was also freezing. He blamed that on Sandra, who just had to wear the fancy coat she got in the designer sale at Nordstrom, so the a/c was at stupidly low levels, for sure.
Even though he had said it was just forty minutes more, they dragged. By the time Leo managed to get out of the office, his headache had escalated significantly and his stomach was hurting, since all he had eaten all day was a pastry at lunch and copious amounts of coffee. He was freezing to the point of his teeth chattering and he it was only when he stepped out of the elevator, buttoning up his coat, that he realized most people didn't seem to be feeling that chilly.
Sandra poked his side, "Wagner, you mind?"
He had stopped right at the ID scan, so he quickly apologized, jumping to the side as she scanned her card and then looked over her shoulder at him, "are you alright?"
"What?" Leo squinted at her, the lights reflecting off her blonde hair.
"Are you feeling alright?" Sandra repeated, "you're quieter than usual, that's all."
"Yeah, uhm..." He shrugged, running his own ID over the scan and joining her as they walked to the parking lot, "I'm fine, I'm just freez-" he shut up, stunned into silence when his co-worker lightly touched his forehead, getting on her tiptoes to reach him.
"You're running a fever there, Wagner," she rolled her eyes, clicking her car keys, "are you alright to drive?"
"Yeah, of course!" His voice came out squeaky at the sudden display of care and Sandra shrugged, smiling at him.
"Alright, take care," she waved, moving away to her designated spot and Leo was left a little stunned into silence, before collecting himself and getting in his own car. He really needed to stop being stubborn and let Bella fix his radio like she had offered, because there was just a terrible silence the entire drive home.
Leo stopped at a red light, just a street away from home and rested his forehead on the steering wheel. Now that Sandra had pointed it out, he couldn't deny the fever. Everything hurt, the sound of the wind howling outside hurt, his head was pounding, the kid's squealing as they walked ahead of their parents on the street...
He watched as a little boy ran back to his father, in a ridiculously large coat. The kid barely reached his dad's hip, he couldn't be over four years old. He was blabbing, cheeks all red and Leo watched the dad let out a chuckle and grab the lapels of his son's coat, covering his face in kisses.
Someone honked behind him and Leo jumped, startled. He had missed the green light.
The remaining 5 minutes to his house, were dark five minutes. Not only because the clouds clumped together to start spilling snow, but because his thoughts started to run down a dangerous road.
This was what he hated the most about the holidays. How his dark thoughts creeped up on him with such ease, how much emphasis was there on family and love and how it highlighted that he was painfully alone in this world. There was no place to go for thanksgiving and there was no father to smooch his face and comfort him and none of the garbage that every single TV ad was showing now.
He avoided the first floor, not in the mood to force a smile for Matthew, and once he got home, Leo went straight to the bedroom, stripping out of his tux jacket and kicking off the shoes.
JD meowed, pushing the door ajar as she entered the room, climbing the bed and forcing herself on his lap even when he paid her no mind. He was too busy trying to undo his tie with one hand, the other one running through the mess of meds they kept in the bedside table drawer.
Vaguely Leo was aware that Jonah kept more meds in the first aid kit, but he couldn't remember where it was and his head was throbbing too much and he felt like fucking crying, so he decided not to go looking. They were out of paracetamol, but still had benadryl and Leo swallowed the little pink pill dry, before opening the drawer right under that one, where he kept his own stuff.
He always took his meds in the morning and then two before bed, but even thought it was only six PM, Leo decided to just taken them already. He wanted to sleep for fifty years, maybe sleep and just... Just stop existing all together.
Leo rubbed his face at the thought, letting out a groan, and his cat let out a meow, forcing her head in the space between his arms.
"Hey," he sighed, scratching her behind the ears, "hey, sweetheart, it's okay. I'm fine. I'm not doing that..." he reassured JD, pulling on the blankets so he could crawl under them. Jonah had left the heater on, but the apartment was still freezing.
JD meowed, chewing on his now undone tie and Leo wrapped an arm around her, thinking that maybe he should get out of the office clothes.... Then fell asleep.
---------------
Jonah wasn't a festivities type of man. He had never been, not even back when he was a teenager and he definitely wasn't the type now, when he was so stressed about graduation.
Yet, he knew Leo was acting pouty for the past ten days and his bet was that it was related to the holiday season. It was very unlike Leo to not openly complain about what was upsetting him, unless it was something close to his heart, when he closed off like a clam.
So if Leo wanted Holidays, Jonah was going to give him Holidays. Hopefully with a better outcome than Halloween, Jon cringed at the thought.
"What is this?" Jon asked, as Wendy reached inside her car and pushed a big tupperware in his hand.
"Torrone," she said, fishing one of the little white squares, "it's an Italian candy, traditional around Christmas. Vin's mom sells them, but she made a huge first batch and sent him. Here's some for you and Leo."
"But Ma made them for Vince..."
"Vince has half my fridge filled with these," Wendy rolled her eyes, getting in the driver's seat of her car, "just remember to get a picture of Leo eating it so we can send it to ma."
"Alright Dee, bye," Jon sniffed one the little white bars, before turning around to get in his own car. That had been the start of his Christmas mini spree and the reason why he was going up to their apartment now carrying not just the tupperware, but a bunch of little boxes of fairy lights, a wreath and a bag of groceries to make a black forest cake.
Jon wasn't daft, he knew Leo was being terribly considerate with the fact he had all but put their whole relationship in the backburner so he could focus in the school work. He needed to woo the guy a little bit.
"Leo?" Jonah pushed the door open, before crouching down to grab all the items again, "Leo, I got a bunch of shit I think you'll like..." he thought nothing of it when there wasn't an answer, instead starting to put things away. He found a good jar for Ma's little torrones and checked on JD's food bowl, frowning as he realized Leo hadn't fed her yet.
"Leo, did you feed JD? Her bowl is empty..." he said, but still got no answer. Jonah didn't wait for one, shaking the little empty dish until he heard their cat trotting back to the kitchen, then filling it up. She snaked between his legs, purring as Jon scratched her behind the ear and watched her eat for a little bit.
Only then did he frown at Leo's full absence, walking back to their room. Jonah wasn't sure what he expected, but it certainly wasn't his boyfriend buried under all their blankets, heavily asleep. He checked his watch. Eight o'clock.
"That's early," Jonah whispered, moving closer to get a good look at his face, "Leo?"
There was no answer, not a snore, nothing. Leo's blonde hair was peaking out and so was the top half of his face, but that was it.
Jon sighed, a little bummed he was already asleep, but deciding against waking him, tiptoeing back out of the room. JD was still in the kitchen, happily munching on her treat and Jonah crouched down next to her again, "why did Leo go to bed so early, do you know?" he asked, causing the cat to stop eating for a second, before she went back in.
He put away all the groceries, then went through the fridge. They meal prepped and Jonah frowned as he realized there were exactly as many frozen dishes as there had been when he left the house earlier that day.
Happy that he had found an excuse to wake Leo up, Jonah got two containers out and put them to defrost, while walking back to the room. Leo hadn't moved a muscle and he didn't stir even when Jon sat on his side of the bed, brushing his bangs.
"Leo..." he whispered, shaking him lightly, "baby wak-" Jonah interrupted himself, noticing Leo was still wearing his office clothes. That was very unusual... So was the low heat rolling off of him.
"Goddammit Leo," Jon sighed, touching his face and feeling the low grade fever. He shook him a little harder, "Leo, wake up. You gotta eat something..."
Still nothing. By now, normally, the blonde would be blinking awake.
Jonah frowned, pushing the blankets down and shaking him a little more, "Leo, wake up..." his voice raised at the end as alarm bells started to go through his mind, so he all but rattled the other man, finally causing Leo to open his eyes.
Jon was about to let out a relieved sigh, but he didn't have the chance, as Leo slurred something unintelligible and then passed right back asleep.
Jonah rattled him again, harshly, and this time he got no reaction, not even a whine.
"Leo!" he called, leaning in so he could feel his boyfriend's breathing, planting two fingers to his jugular in search of a pulse. His own heart was drumming in his ears, so it took Jonah a second before he could differentiate what was his, what was Leo's.
The blonde's heartbeat were slow...Too slow. His breathing was weirdly timed.
Jonah felt vaguely dizzy as he looked around the room, in search of his coat. He had left his cellphone inside the pocket... He almost got sick as he saw the three different medications sitting on Leo's bedside table.
His usual Zoloft and Ambien and... Benadryl?
Jon frowned at the label, before shaking the antidepressant case and ambien. Both were still full, Leo hadn't taken more than he should... Or at least, it didn't look like he had, not on purpose.
"Baby," Jonah patted his cheeks, with more force than he'd normally use, "baby, open your eyes for me. Wake up-" he bit the inside of his cheek, before deciding that fuck that and splashing a little bit of water on his boyfriend's face.
Leo blinked, confused and drowsy, "why am I wet..." he groaned, attempting to go back to sleep, but Jonah stopped him, patting his cheek again.
"Leo, hey, look at me- How many pills did you take?"
"Uhm?" he yawned, his eyes starting to roll back again.
"LEO!" Jonah shook him vehemently, forcing the blonde to wake up, "how. many. pills?"
Leo groaned, rubbing his eyes, "Jon...?"
"Yes, baby, it's me," Jonah shook him again, holding the pill bottles in front of his face, "how many pills?"
"One," Leo slumped back against the pillow, "just one."
"Each?"
The blonde nodded, yawning again, "I don't feel so good..."
"I know, baby," Jon grabbed his shoulders again, forcing him to sit up once more, "c'mon, we're going to the ER."
"What...?" Leo groaned, slumping forward so his forehead met Jon's shoulder, "no, I'm not sick, I'm just... I'm just off..."
"Yeah, because you took two sedatives and your antidepressants," Jonah scoffed, looking one of Leo's arms around his neck, "c'mon, baby, get up."
"Jon, no, stop-" Leo weakly tried to shove off his chest, but his legs were almost jelly under him and the only thing keeping him up was Jonah holding him tightly, "I wanna sleep..."
"Nope," Jon dragged him out of the room, "no sleep for you until a psychiatrist checks you out."
"No!" Leo shoved at his arm and then stumbled back, falling sit on the edge of the bed. Jonah glared at him, feeling his own temper flare up, fueled by the sheer stress.
The stress of the situation, the panic of finding Leo like that, but also the overall stress that had been Halloween, followed by Leo's appendicitis, followed his quickly approaching deadlines...
"You're getting in the car even if I have to fucking carry you, Leo," Jonah glared at him, "get up."
If he expected to get a rise out of the blonde, he didn't. Instead Leo planted a hand on his chest and fell back on the bed, facing the ceiling as he groaned, "Jon, I feel really weird..."
"Yes, get up-"
"No, there's... There's someone standing in our hallway," Leo said and Jonah glanced at the open door and saw nothing, not even JD.
"There isn't, baby, its in your head..." he grabbed his boyfriend's arm, pulling him up again, "c'mon-"
"No, they're gonna get me."
"Ah fuck's sake," Jonah sighed, although while this was scary, he much rather have Leo fighting him and responsive than dead to the world, "no one is going to get you, Leo..."
All he got as an answer was a whimper.
"Fuck," Jon whispered, leaving the room in two steps to grab the coat he had hung behind the door and his phone, already dialing 911.
They asked him how many pills Leo had taken and upon Jonah's answer, a lady said "It doesn't sound like a suicide attempt, we're going to transfer you to poison control. Please stay on the line and stay calm."
A suicide attempt. Jonah's mouth dried as he sat right next to Leo on the bed, wrapping a hand around his wrist and feeling his pulse, barely listening as the poison control responder said that at this dosage going to the ER wasn't necessary. To keep checking on him and get loads of liquids on Leo, take him to emergency if he started throwing up or struggling to breathe.
Jon's ears were still ringing as he crouched down next to Leo again, now holding a glass of cold water, with a straw sticking out.
"C'mon, baby, just one sip, it's gonna help..."
Leo groaned again, but after a little more prodding, he did open his mouth and took the drink. Apparently he had been thirsty, because he drained the entire cup without much of Jonah's prodding.
He pulled back, looking slightly more awake, "Jon..." Leo clumsily grabbed his face, "something's wrong."
"I know, Leo," Jonah pulled back from the clumsy face squeeze, planting a kiss on the blonde's brow, "you'll feel better in the morning... Well, probably hungover as fuck, but you'll feel better in the morning..." his voice caught at the end and Leo pulled back, frowning.
"Are you sad...?"
"No, I'm fine, I'm fine," Jonah cleared his throat, "why did you take the benadryl?"
"What?" Leo blinked, struggling to keep his eyes open, "get into bed..."
"The third medication, Leo," Jonah raised the little box in front of his eyes, "why did you take it?"
"My head hurt..." Leo yawned, "had a fever... Couldn't find the right-" he yawned again, tugging on Jon's shirt to pull him closer, "the right one."
Jonah let out a little sigh of relief, allowing himself to get pulled into a clumsy, weird hug, the best that Leo's half sedated brain could do.
"I love you," he whispered, voice muffled by Leo's shirt and the blonde let out a hum, sounding like he was falling right back asleep. Still, Jonah did hear a faint, "love you too" said in return.

Previously…
The burning in your arm was different. And it was more intense than what you’ve ever felt before. You knew you didn’t feel it with your father because that was a mere vision but this? This was real. He was coming.
Dean Winchester was there.
Then your gaze landed on the slightly shorter hunter and you knew he just had to be Dean. He had they eyes of a killer and you could see it now. You saw why he was worthy to bare the mark. He had already seen and done so much and you were sure of it.
The mark on Dean’s arm burned to such an intensity, he knew that there was sort of connection between the two of them. He looked at his brother Sam who was trying to fake the fact that he didn’t know what this girl was talking about. If this was about the Mark of Cain, he knew that he and Sam needed to have a talk. A serious one at that.
Somehow, Sam was the one that convinced you to join them and meet their angel friend, Castiel. Never in the centuries you've been alive have you ever thought that you'd meet an angel. But then again you've heard of their fall and to you they didn't seem to be as big of a threat as they used to be.
You couldn't help but feel a little awkward though while you sat in the back of Dean's car. You could tell that there was some kind of tension between the two brothers. It's not like you knew what it was.
You wondered how the Hell you were supposed to get to know these people. And why did they think you could help with anything? Why would they think that you would even want to help?
You remembered your father's words, remembering that he said to go along with these brothers. You had heard of two brothers saving the world, and a part of you wondered how they could manage that if they got tense like this.
Taking in a deep breath, you began to speak.
"So... what exactly is this Castiel is wanting to know?" You asked.
"Well, you see, Y/N.. Castiel and the both of us have been searching for Metatron. And he mentioned to me that someone like you could be of some help. Hopefully.” Sam told you
“Plus, there was a report of an angel missing. We don’t know if it was one of Castiel’s angels or Metatron’s. We think the vessel could have been possessed by a demon, overpowering the angel, when he came to look for you.” He continued and you remembered the very first demon that came to your tattoo parlor.
"I can confirm there was a demon there. The angel seemed to be long gone though. And the vessel... it perished with the demon." You confessed.
"You think the angel found a new vessel before goin' back to Cass?" Sam asked his brother, as if he was hoping for some kind of dialogue. But the older brother let out some kind of grunt, as if he had something a little different on his mind.
"Maybe. Still don't know why demons would get involved with this whole thing." Dean said, gaze never leaving the road ahead of them.
You subconsciously placed a hand over your mark, knowing damned well why that demon came. But you didn't think it would really be worth mentioning. Cain didn't have anything to do with Metatron, neither do you. And you don't care what Crowley was looking for you for.
"Back to the Metatron thing... how exactly are you thinking of handling him? He's not an ordinary angel you know." You said, changing the topic a little. Anything would beat the silence among you and these two practical strangers.
"The First Blade."
Those three words flowed from Dean so effortlessly. Hearing him even talk about the powerful weapon almost put you in a trance. You had heard of all of it's corrupted and bloody splendor. But you yourself had never been able to use is. Your father wielded it for years before he parted from it. Who knew where it was.
"How are you supposed to get your hands on it? No one knows where it is and you'd have to have a specific tracking spe-"
"One step ahead of you. We've already got he blade and-" Sam began.
"Not for much longer..." Dean interrupted.
"Well... We may have to entrust it to Crowley again for the time being until we can locate Metatron."
You looked at Sam before looking at Dean. It was gradually coming together. The blade and his mark, is that what the two are tense about right now?
You shifted your gaze to the window and watched as all the trees seemed to zoom by while Dean drove.
"It's a safe precaution whether you like it or not, Dean." You managed to speak.
"Yeah and what the Hell do you know about precautions with that thing? We know you've never used it so what do you know about what it's like?" Dean asked and you rolled your eyes and started to glare at the hunter.
"I knew it was in the bottom of the deepest ocean. I spied on Cain the night that it happened. When he left, I went to the bottom of that ocean and retrieved it. I had my share of killing with it and trust me, its more intense for demons than it could ever be for a mortal like you. I know exactly what the high is like. I know the great urge it gives you because I've used it on many before going into hiding. Demons looked for me when I left Hell. And there was a reason they didn't know where I was for so long." You said as the car came to a stop. Apparently they were wherever this angel's base was.
Then you saw Dean look at you in the rearview mirror and you spoke again.
"Just because you're the legendary Dean Winchester, just because you have that mark, because my father thought you were worthy of the mark, and just because you think you're a strong enough hunter, does not mean you are above precaution."
"That blade is like the worst kind of poison but the best kind of drug. And if you want to hold on to your own humanity, to hold on to your brother, you'd thank him to give that blade to Crowley, even if he is the scum of the earth." You said as you got out of the car and nearly slammed the door behind you.
Sam and Dean were both rendered a little speechless. Neither of them were initially sure of what to say when they watched you get out of the car. Then Sam looked at Dean with a brow arched.
"What did she mean when she mentioned Cain seeing something in you?" Sam asked and Dean shook his head, not really wanting to get into it with him.
"I can't believe you and Cass knew about her. What is this supposed to be? Some kind of intervention? I swear it's always something with you and this damned thing when you know I'm right and we need the blade." Dean said only for Sam to scoff.
The two brothers got out of the car and they lead you into Cass's base. Once they did, Dean saw Castiel making his way over.
"Good, you're here. There's been a complication." Castiel spoke in his typical monotonous tone.
Dean's brows narrowed and the three of you followed the angel before they were in the part of his quarters where the other angels were working on their computers, soundboards and other devices.
All of the angels looked at the four of you. Although you felt singled out because you were the only demon amongst angels. Castiel reassured them you were there to help. You were sure they had questions but it's not like they asked. Not yet anyway.
"You guys are going to want to see this." One of the other angels said and Castiel, Sam, and Dean all went to the angel's computer and looked on the screen.
What the three of them saw was an angel in a trench coat going into an ice cream parlor. He tore open the coat to reveal some sort of carving in his chest and the angel shouted "I do this for Castiel!"
The next thing they saw, the angel used a blade on himself, a little girl screamed and everyone in that parlor was killed. Six humans were killed in the crossfire.
Dean's jaw clenched when he watched everything. He knew this was bad. His gut was telling him that there was no way Castiel could orchestrate something like this. But he looked over at the trench coat wearing angel and put his hands in his pockets.
"What the Hell did you do? What the Hell was that?" Dean asked sternly. "Did you know anything about this?"
"No, of course I didn't. I would never ask one of my own to kill innocents." Castiel assured and looked at the screen again at the symbol. Meanwhile Dean looked skeptical. This wouldn't be the first time the angel has lied to his face.
"Cass, why would an angel blow up an ice cream shop in your name?" Sam asked, confused but a part of him wanted to believe Castiel. He just wanted to get to the bottom of this whole thing.
"Wait a moment, there was an angel there. Esther." Hannah, one of Castiel's angels began. "She's one of Metatron's."
"Oh so this really was a hit?" Dean asked and crossed his arms.
"Dean you can't honestly believe I did something like this."
"Look I know you have good intentions, I do. You try. But this whole thing is more like a cult! But the last time you tried to be a leader you killed both angels and humans! It didn't matter to you and you lied about it!" Dean said.
"Guys, let's take this somewhere else." Sam said.
You watched the three of them go up to Castiel's office. You weren't sure if you were to follow them or not so you stayed. You wanted to gather at least some kind of information about this operation.
After all you had basically lived under a rock so to speak and all you had to go on was what your father told you in that vision.
"So what are you really doing here, Demon? Is Crowley trying to corrupt this operation?" An angel asked.
You looked at one of them and lifted a brow.
"It isn't any business of yours whether I even work with Crowley or not. I don't care if he's the King of Hell, I don't care if Metatron wins or loses. I don't even care about this little cult type thing you have going on. The Winchesters swooped me up and said I could be useful for something and I'm just along for the ride." You said.
"Yeah. Likely story coming from a liar." another backtalking angel spoke and stood up.
You didn't know if he was trying to start a fight but you rolled up your sleeves and got prepared.
Hannah was the first one that noticed your mark and she delicately placed a hand on you. "If Castiel says you are here to help, he is to be believed." then she looked at the angel causing a problem.
"Have a seat and see if you can track down the angel that's missing. Castiel will want a report on Josiah to know he is unharmed. We know he was going to Colorado so find out why he was going there. There's something suspicious going on and we need to be prepared for whatever Castiel orders us to do next." Hannah advised and he did as he was told.
Then Hannah looked at you. You saw some sort of softness in her eyes despite the obvious skepticism you couldn't blame her for.
"I don't know why Castiel insisted you help us. Or why the Winchesters insisted you join them. But we really don't mean any harm. We simply want to go home. when this is all over." She told you.
You looked at her with confusion. Why was she believing you? In all honesty you didn't think you could even help with this matter. You really did feel like you were along for the ride and just wanting to know why Sam and Dean came to your parlor. Unless the boys weren't telling you everything yet.
Dean still didn't like the idea of any of this. They still had an angelic civil war going on in the sidelines. Cass shouldn't be leading especially after what happened the last time he tried to rebel. So many died in the crossfire all for "good intentions" that fell through.
"Look, guys. All we need to focus on right now is that there's a case and we need to work it. So, Cass. Did you know the angel in the video?" Sam asked, trying to be a mediator before a new hell broke loose and they'd never get anything done.
"Yes, his name was Oren. He was a new recruit. He worked at a community out reach. The angels in my charge are typically in hospitals helping where they can through minor miracles. Nothing to draw attention." Castiel explained.
"Yeah well this is a hell of a way to help the community." Dean muttered and Sam rolled his eyes.
"What do you know about the markings on his chest?" Sam said, trying his best to stay on track.
Castiel glared at Dean for the comment and knew he was going to be stubborn for a while and he looked back at Sam, "Enochian Runes. I think they must've been for focusing energy. When he stabbed himself, it resulted in the unleashing of that power."
"So if Esther was the target, what happened to her?" Sam asked.
"If she was the primary target, then if the energy was that intense then she would be atomized and reduced to nothing." Castiel said. Then there was some sort of silence.
"So what is our next step? What should we do?"
"Well you're not to do anything. We need to do some investigating and if the other angels think that you're really behind all this, they won't do any talking if you're around." Dean said sternly.
"You cannot expect me to sit here and do nothing. If you do not want my help or assistance I will go and search for Josiah. His trail was going to Colorado so that is where I will look. I have to do something."
"Alright, you know what? Fine. But Sam is going with you." Dean said and both Sam and Castiel looked.
"Because you don't trust me?"
"No, he'll be there to help."
Tumblr media
The night came and Sam drove Castiel's vehicle to go to Colorado. Now was a good a time as any to fill Castiel in.
"Abaddon is dead. And then some. Dean really took it too far and I'm glad we followed up on that rumor. She's more than a rumor now. Maybe she can convince Dean to ease up on everything." Sam said.
"Have the effects worsened after you found her?" Castiel asked, knowing the effects of the mark were already bad for Dean. Of course he was always angry and on edge, but intensified tenfold.
"Oddly enough, it hasn't gotten worse. But we haven't given it much time to see if it will help or harm Dean any further. Although they did have a bit of a fight and it's clear Y/N knows a few things about what Dean is going through. Maybe he can learn some things from her."
"What did they fight about?"
"Well I can't really say fight, more of Dean saying something he shouldn't have and Y/N giving him an earful before we went into your little compound. She said that the blade is like the worst poison but the best drug. She said she's used it before and used them on some of the demons that tried to follow her and take her back to Hell. I assumed sometime after that before she went into hiding she tossed it back to wherever Crowley found it." Sam explained.
"She said it was more intense for her as a demon than it could ever be for Dean since he was human. And... and that he should listen to me if he wants to hold on to his humanity."
"Hold on to his humanity.. You don't think she's referring to what happened to her father do you?" Castiel inquired.
"I don't know. Maybe. I just hope he won't get to that point. She made the suggestion we give the blade to Crowley. But I partially agree with Dean. We need it to kill Metatron. Crowley is next on the list anyways. But if Dean can just agree to leaving the blade behind and using it only for emergencies, for the big boss fights, that would be great and it would be one of the bigger steps he would need to take."
"But it's hard to get him to agree to it?"
"Cass, we've been arguing about that blade too many times. It's honestly so tiring and he doesn't want to listen. He's so set on taking it everywhere..."
"What if you gave it to Y/N? For safe keeping?"
"Do you really think we should take a risk like that? She went into hiding to stay out of the demons way because of Abaddon. Now that her mother's dead, giving that blade to her may be just as bad of a mistake as Dean even accepting the mark."
"She would have a better handle of the effects. She used the blade and she was the one that chose to throw it back where she found it. She did it willingly, without having a sibling to argue with her about it."
Sam stayed silent for a few moments, honestly considering the angel's words. He knew Dean wanted to be the one that killed Metatron. And honestly, you didn't seem like you cared enough to kill Metatron so that wouldn't be an issue. It would be a matter of convincing Dean to let you have it for a while.
"You know.. it might work. I don't know how Dean will handle it but maybe while she has it in a safe place, she can teach Dean how to cope with the effects before he changes forever." Sam said.
"I wish you luck.. with Dean, I know you're going to need it."
Tumblr media
Dean stayed behind in Cass' quarters to... interrogate... some angels that Cass said worked in the hospital to see if he can get any leads on Oren.
He sat down at a table across from an angel so they could talk.
"He was a joy to be around. He was bright."
"Yeah, lovely. But why would he light up his own fuse with that explosive personality you liked so much." Dean said, clearly unamused.
"You think this is funny? I don't have any information. So if you could just let me go, I have lives to save. Unlike you." The angel said and Dean's hands turned into a fist in his lap.
"And what's that supposed to mean, exactly?"
"You think you save people but you do more harm than good. I clear up a clogged artery here and there, remove some blood clots. But you? It's like the only way to solve a problem is with a gun or knife. You pretend to do good but you're nothing but a killer and you know it." the angel said.
"Your soul will be forever stained with red and I hate men like you."
That was it for Dean. He had it up to this point and flipped the table on its side. He lunged at the angel in her chair and tossed her back against the floor.
He pulled an angel blade out and held it against her neck and glared, the light no longer shining in his eyes and he was doing everything he could not to slice her throat but he knew he needed her alive.
"Honey, there ain't no other men like me."
With the threat of her life on the line, the angel revealed the name Constantine. He was one of Oren's supposed friends. Then there was the name Tessa. The same Tessa that Dean recognized. The one that's come after his soul once or twice. What would she have anything to do with this?
He let go of her and the angel got up and left the room. But not before giving Dean a disgusted look.
Oh what Dean would have given to stab her then and there but he knew that if he did he would never hear the end of it from Sam.
But then his mind floated back to what you said that day.
What if you were right about the blade? Unfortunately he had lied to Sam about taking it along for this hunt. He never knew when they would need it and Dean didn't want to have a need for it on a hunt one day only for it to be back at the Bunker.
He couldn't be without that blade and while you may have been right about the effects, he knew you would agree about the sort of calm that it gives you when you simply hold it. It's like a relief to what you're feeling because of that curse.
But another thing that was puzzling to him was despite the obvious tension in the car between him and his brother, having you there was another kind of calm, similar to what the First Blade gave even when the burning was more intense in your first encounter.
Speaking of the devil, you walked into the room.
On your way down the hall you saw an angel rushing to get as far away from Dean as possible. All you wanted to do was find out how the discussion went and from the looks of it, it didn't go very well.
When you were in the room, you saw Dean pinching the bridge of his nose and his brows were narrowed. You saw a table flipped on its side and a chair tossed down with Dean standing beside it.
You presumed he sensed your presence because he let his hand down and looked at you.
"What? Are you here to tell me I went too far or something?" He asked and you knew he was frustrated. You didn't know the amount of what he had on his plate.
"The opposite, actually. I half expected to find you standing over a dead body and the angel with a knife in her neck." You said bluntly and Dean rolled his eyes.
You sighed and you walked over to him.
"Look, I know we didn't start on the right foot. Especially with your little comment about the first blade earlier. I don't know who's idea it was to look for me. Frankly I don't care who you kill or don't kill. I'm still lost as to why people think I can help with anything but I really can't. I'm just a demon parading as a tattoo artist." You began.
"But from what I can see, you have a brother who cares about you. He doesn't want you to go down the path Cain did. It's ugly, it's black, it's bloody and he doesn't want to see you turn into something he can't recognize." You said and crossed your arms.
Dean lowered his head and looked down at the angel blade in his hands. Of course he knew Sam had good intentions. Cass always has good intentions. Hell, Dean even has good intentions. But they say the way to Hell is paved with good intentions.
"It's not like there's anything that can be done about the mark. I have it, I'm stuck with it. Might as well use it for whatever good I can before I start weighing people down with it." Dean spoke. This was probably the most he's been open about this sort of thing.
All he ever really tells Sam is that he's fine. He's fantastic. He can't really be honest with his own brother about it because he could never understand what he's going through.
"How bad is it?" You asked.
"What?"
"How bad is the mark effecting you? Really?"
"Don't you think we can talk about this a little later? We have a reaper to find and I need to tell Sam what's going on."
You shouldn't be surprised. And honestly from what you saw that day, you weren't surprised that he would shut you down that fast. You were still a practical stranger, but you knew he wasn't above working with demons if he went with Crowley to find Cain in the first place.
"Oh stop trying to be one of those stoic pinheads that hold their traumatic shit in all the damn time and take their problems out on everyone. Cain's who knows where, Crowley doesn't know what you're going through and Sam could never even begin to fathom the weight of everything." You said.
"We're on a car ride for barely a day and we've known each other for a matter of hours and you think you know what's going on with me? Get over yourself. We have a job to do." Dean said and tried to walk away.
You rolled your eyes and waved your hand and pinned Dean against the wall. You knew Dean was strong as he tried to resist but your grip was firm as you walked over.
"You don't want to open up to me, fine. Don't. But don't ignore me or brush me off." You said before slowly releasing your grip so he could stand on his own.
You took his arm, ignoring his protests, and you rolled up his sleeve to reveal his mark. You barely let our thumb graze over it, Dean didn't move. Instead, you could feel him get a little less tense.
"I don't know exactly why Sam wanted you to come along. But if he expect you to talk me into slowing down he really needs to understand that I'm fine. Everyone's got their shit they need to handle and this is mine." Dean told you in a less argumentative tone.
"Then you really need to start asking yourself how far you're willing to go. How many people are you willing to lose? How many loved ones will you leave behind because you won't accept the help. This mark? It's not a gift, Dean. It's a curse. And you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into." You said and looked up at him.
"Just something to think about. Now let's go find your little reaper."
Dean watched you walk out of the room and that pain in his arm came back. He didn't flinch since he was used to it, but the fact that it actually subsided for a while baffled him.
He started thinking about what you said. He still didn't like the fact that Sam would go behind his back like this just to get someone like you to talk to him. But all of this talk of a curse coming from a demon, maybe Dean should put things into perspective just a little more. As much as Sam was a pain in the ass, he still didn't want to lose the only family he had left.

CW'S   SUPERNATURAL   SENTENCE   QUOTES.   all   sentences   have   been   taken   from   mostly   the   kripke   era   (season   1   to   season   5)   of   erik   kripke's   supernatural,   mainly   season   four   and   five.   change   names/pronouns/locations   as   you   see   fit.
SEASON FOUR .
If you're going to shoot, shoot! Don't talk!
Please. Dean, maybe angels can pull you out of Hell but no one can do that.
So, you guys are like Mulder and Scully or something, and the X-Files are real?
It was beauty that killed the beast.
Anna may have sent the angels to the outfield, but sooner or later, they're gonna be back.
I suppose some dumb bastard stood here, felt a jolt of his holy juice and thought 'I'm going to build me a nun factory.' Well, it was the right idea... wrong angel.
Tell me something. Where's God in all this?
I'm not sure if he's my brother any more. If he ever was.
Are you under the impression that family's supposed to make you feel good? Make you an apple pie, maybe? They're supposed to make you miserable! That's why they're family.
If you walk out that door, don't you ever come back.
You don't know me. You never did, and you never will.
Congrats, Sammy. You just bought yourself a benchwarmer seat to the Apocalypse.
I serve Heaven, I don't serve man. And I certainly don't serve you.
Forever. The demons will never stop. You can never be with your family. So, you either get as far away from them as possible. Or you put a bullet in your head, And that's how you keep your family safe.
You know I finally get why you and dad butted heads so much. You two are practically the same person.
I mean I worshipped the guy, y'know: I dressed like him, I acted like him, I listened to the same music. But you are more like him than I will ever be. I see that now.
Okay, so basically you're saying that every movie monster, every nightmare that I've ever had, that's all real.
He's a Winchester. He's already cursed.
It was too preposterous. Not to mention arrogant! I mean, writing yourself into the story is one thing, but as a prophet? That's like M. Night level douchiness.
Uriel's the funniest angel in the garrison. Ask anyone.
I'm not a hero, I'm not strong enough.
I know our fate rests with you.
I couldn't break him, pulled out all the stops, but John, he was made of something unique. The stuff of heroes.
You need to learn how to manage a damn devil's trap.
Tell me something, geniuses. Even if you do break into the Veil and you find the Reaper. how are you going to save it?
SEASON FIVE.
The only thing you're going to see out there is Michael killing your brother.
I'm gonna rip you apart from the inside out. Do you understand me?
No doubt - endings are hard. But then again... nothing ever really ends, does it?
You try to tie up every loose end, but you never can.
Dean, even for you, this is a whole new mountain of stupid.
Sorry if it's a bit chilly. Most people think I burn hot. It's actually quite the opposite.
Well, I got to ask. How old are you?
As old as God. Maybe older. Neither of us can remember anymore. Life, death, chicken, egg. Regardless - at the end, I'll reap him, too.
That's the beauty about improv, Sammy. You never know what's gonna come out of your mouth.
You are not the burnt and broken shell of a man that I believed you to be.
World's gonna end, seems silly to get all precious over one little soul.
Why? Because Crowley said so? Because we trust him now?
You think you own the planet? What gives you the right?!?
No one gives us the right. We take it.
You're not my father. And you ain't in my shoes.
I mean, whatever happened to personal loyalty? How long have I worked for these guys. Five millennia? Six?
 It's funnier in Enochian.
This creature has the power to take a human's form, read minds.
And you think you know better than my father? The one unimportant little man. What makes you think you get to choose?
It's a plan that is playing itself out perfectly. Free will's an illusion, Dean. That's why you're going to say yes.
Think of the million random choices that you make--and yet how each and everyone of them brings you closer to your destiny.
As it is in Heaven, so it must be on Earth. One brother has to kill the other.
Well, call it personal experience. Nobody gets that angry unless they're talking about their own family.
You know why God cast me down? Because I loved him. More than anything.
Now, tell me... does the punishment fit the crime? Especially when I was right?
Look at what six billion of you have done to this thing, and how many of you blame me for it?
Honestly, people don't need a reason to kill each other. I mean, you seen the Irish? They're all Irish.
