Testament to pet insurance because I feel you guys would appreciate it: I adopted my new kitten, Gargoyle, today. I had arranged for him to go to the vet 3 days ago for his first vaccines and wellness exam so I could set up his insurance asap, even though he was still going to be with his foster for a few more days. LAST NIGHT he hurt his leg and his foster mom had to take him to emerg (not broken, thank god, but it was still 800$ for xrays and pain meds). Because I had that insurance set up already (and the company waived my 30 day waiting period when I set it up), I only had to pay 200$ out of pocket! SO GLAD I got it set up the day I decided to adopt him. Moral of the story for everyone on the fence about pet insurance: get it while they're young and don't have problems yet!!!!

Anyway, here's my stinker:

He's getting around just fine, despite the cast he has to have on for the next 5 days.

Shameless boost to encourage more people to get pet insurance. I have it, most of my coworkers have it, and I encourage every new client to get it. It's such a game changer.

Please keep in mind though that most insurances won't cover pre-existing conditions! It always sucks when I have to tell a client that no, they can't go out and get insurance for the cancer we just diagnosed. Pet insurance also reimburses you, they do not pay up front; it is NOT like human insurance. Consider something like Care Credit if you need help paying for services up front. I have both, and so do a lot of my coworkers.

I have used Care Credit when I was between jobs (broke AF!) and my pets needed care.

I can vouch for it’s validity.

If the right way is too hard, fuck it. Do it the wrong way.

Folding clothes keeps you from getting the laundry done? Stop folding clothes. Put a basket in your room and throw your unfolded clean stuff into it right out of the dryer, it's fine.

Rinsing dishes off keeps you from loading the dishwasher? Load them dirty and run it twice.

Chopping onions keeps you from making yourself dinner? Buy the freezer bags of chopped onions.

You forget to take your meds and don't want to get out of bed to get them? Start putting them next to the bed.

Can't keep up with the dishes? Get paper plates. Worried about environment impact? Order biodegradable ones online if your local store doesn't have one.

Make the task easier. Put things where you use them instead of where they "go." Eliminate the steps that keep you from finishing the task. Eliminate the task that is stressing you out.

Do it the "wrong" way. It's literally fine.

People always tell you "just be confident", but part of begin confident is to think highly of you, the other part it's goe to accept you shadow side and the third is how to recognize your flaws (I'll make separate guides for each one of these), it's easy to be confident, but it's hard to find the procedure to be confident, so I'm here to share with you the first steps, that I used to become more confident.

୨୧Positive affirmations୨୧

This is a basic step and a very useful one, sometimes we don't get enough words of encouragement from others, try to show those lovely words to yourself and oversaturate your mind with uplifting affirmations.

୨୧Hygiene୨୧

This is a very important point. Smelling good can make you way more confident, it makes you feel take care of yourself compared to the average individual. When you smell good people want to be more around you and you also want to be more around people, which makes you feel social, enjoyable and cared for.

୨୧Hobbies୨୧

When you have hobbies you feel interesting and have a more arguments to talk about, it helps connect with others,and if you have solo hobbies you will start growing into loving yourself and feel comftable in your own company.

୨୧Help people when they need it and when you can୨୧

Help people but not in people pleasing way, but in a "I want to help you cause I love the feeling of begin able to make someone's pain less relevant", helping others in your means makes you feel good.
