Character Focus: Chikage
Chikage and her mother Tamaki Umeda were made upon my request by @yorithesims. ❤️ I needed a yakuza mother and daughter to be allies to Laurie and the gang, and I couldn't rely on my poor Sims making skills. And so the Umeda-gumi was born! Aren't they pure badassery? 😎
But because Chikage is one of the most recent additions to the story, she doesn't have much of a backstory yet.
In her very first appearance, she acts as a translator between her mother and Laurie, Omar and Romeo. Tamaki-san understands (and even speaks) English but by pretending not to, she reminds her guests of their position: they are very firmly in her territory, asking for help. Her house, her rules. Chikage and her mother keep glancing at each other throughout the conversation. There is a lot going on that is unsaid...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Umeda-gumi is a small, cautious matriarchal clan that had always stayed out of the syndicate. But Laurie's proposition is appealing: they would get rid of the Hei clan (their natural enemy) and would win a free seat in the syndicate.
Chikage's first mission is to find out if Laurie has a hidden agenda. Now, while Chikage seems subdued in front of her mother, whom she obeys without question, she is actually a free spirit and is obviously given free rein to achieve her clan's objectives. So she sneaks into Laurie's room at night and well... they have a rather sexy fight. ;) It sets the tone of their dynamic: a power game about who is alternatively in control.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Following their conversation, Chikage concludes that Laurie is actually sincere and she gets curious. While Laurie finds out that the only way to truly do business with Chikage is to be quite literally naked.
Tumblr media
His condition that they do not kiss does not put her off but it puzzles her. When he tells her that he prefers kissing someone he actually has feelings for, she is not offended. Their intercourse was nothing more than the fun part of business to her.
Tumblr media
Because he's being so transparent, she decides to be clear about her clan's motives. She confesses to being the biological daughter of the one who calls himself Bao Hei and who is actually a former member of the Umeda clan and a lover of Tamaki's.
Tumblr media
The Umeda-gumi may be small but they have obviously their spy within the Hei clan. And when Bao Hei gets killed, they are the first informed. So they add a condition to their help to the syndicate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At this stage, all they know is that 1) rumor says the assassin was working for Laurie Golzine, and 2) that it was an immortal (read: a vampire). With Jie now also an immortal himself, Tamaki sees that the only way to protect her clan's interests and have an edge on the rest of the syndicate would be to employ vampires herself. Particularly a powerful assassin who has just proved that Jie could be defeated (as a human, at least).
Chikage is sent by her mother to the strategic meeting organized by Laurie between all involved parties. But the night before, Chikage and Laurie get together in a hotel room to... exchange information. This time, he lets her take the lead and seems detached from the whole process, acting almost robotically.
Tumblr media
To her, that's his business so she doesn't pry. He willingly agreed to those "transactions" between them and he outright told her there were parts of his life that were out of bounds. Chikage's main goal is to get information about Eloise, the supposed assassin. Laurie denies having ever ordered Bao Hei to be killed, and sees right through Tamaki's objective to hire Eloise. And he warns Chikage that things may not be as they seem.
Tumblr media
At this point, I think it must be said that despite her confident attitude, Chikage is not entirely comfortable with being seated at a negotiation table with the whole syndicate, vampires and who knows what else. She doesn't know the history between them all, and she's very aware of being in a position of weakness. Entering the room together with Laurie is a calculated act from both of them.
Tumblr media
It is an assurance that the Umeda clan is a "close" partner of the Golzines. And they want it to be noticed.
Tumblr media
And Chikage finally meets the so-called terrible "assassin"...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously, Laurie is withholding information. Maybe he thinks that Chikage wouldn't believe him if he told her that Eloise has a dissociative personality. And maybe he would be right. Chikage will get proof in due time... but for now, she truly doesn't understand how that harmless girl could have achieved what no one in her clan has managed to do.
Tumblr media
Also, in answer to doubts issued by some of the invitees about her motives, she reveals having a legitimate claim as heiress to the Hei clan.
Tumblr media
Chikage's caution is still very visible in the most recent scenes, when they all prepare to attack the Hei HQ. With Laurie gone, she has lost her most reliable ally who knew exactly what she was after. She clearly doesn't trust Eloise and Tristan, and desperately wants to assess Eloise's capabilities.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thankfully, Erik's arrival will allow her to chaperone the two vampires.
Tumblr media
Stay tuned if you want to know how this whole mess turns out! ;)

The Power of Choice
Character focus: Wanderer
Wholesome angst? (I'm not sure what qualifies this)
Tumblr media
One day, you were walking through the streets of Sumeru city, you were doing some clothes shopping, while it's true you already had the finest clothes in Teyvat, those are mostly for public image and not very easy to move in, so you're looking for traveling clothes as your duties require frequent traveling, not only amongst nations but villages as well. You were about to enter the tailor shop when you noticed a familiar figure.
(Y/N): Is that?
The figure was a boy with blue hair and quit the unforgettable hat, the Wanderer. Upon seeing him, you rush over with haste.
(Y/N): HEY!
The Wanderer jumped at the sound of your voice. You can't see his face, but given the sound he made, you can't help but imagine that he's wincing. It's not an unexpected reaction given his opinion of the gods. He turns to face you with a scornful look.
Wanderer: Oh, it's you.
(Y/N): I take it you're not too thrilled to see me.
Wanderer:(shaking his head.) It was inevitable. Lesser lord Kusanali would have brought me to meet you eventually. I take it you have something to discuss?
(Y/N): Yeah, given you also have a disdain for people as well, I imagine you're here doing something for Nahida, so I'll try to make this quick, but is it okay if we relocate?
Wanderer: Is it scandalous?
(Y/N): No, it's more for your sake.
The Wanderer agrees, and you two move to a field outside the city.
Wander: Alright, now what did you want to discuss?
(Y/N): About your name, the one I gave you. Do you like it?
Wanderer: What?
(Y/N): Do you li...
Wanderer: I heard you the first time. This is the name given to me, so why would it matter if I liked it or not?
(Y/N): Because it's yours.
The Wanderer seemed confused by this.
Wanderer: Human parents give their children names all the time, and they never raise this question.
(Y/N): That's because the children have neither the voice or the intellect to argue, and by the time they do, that's all they've ever been called so many don't see the point in it. You, however, have always had a voice and the intelligence to state your claim, not to mention you've also gone by many names in the past, so discarding another one should be no issue.
Wanderer: Even if I didn't like it, what would you do?
(Y/N): I could throw a few suggestions your way, but it would ultimately be your choice.
Your words seemed to shock the wanderer.
The wanderer: My choice?
He began thinking back. All he's ever known was orders. Orders from Ei on how to behave and act, orders to leave when the Shogun was made, orders to kill from the Fatui, even now he takes orders from Nahida, and the only choices he's ever made in the past he had to make himself, no one's ever given him a choice before. The more the wanderer thought about it, the more his eyes began to fog up, until he was snapped from his thoughts by your voice.
(Y/N): Well, do you like it?
Your voice was gentle, not a hint of malice behind it. That's when he realized this was no ruse but genuine concern, and there was no more holding back the tears after that realization.
The wanderer: I...I have no complaints.
(Y/N): Then I'll call you (W/N) from now on.
After the conversation was done, you began comforting the now sobbing (W/N) until the tears stopped. The two of you were about to go your separate ways when (W/N) spoke up.
(W/N): One more thing, when you said relocating was for my sake, did you know how I'd react?
(Y/N): No, I just thought if word got out that you got your name from the creator, it would cause you quite the headache.
(W/N) couldn't help but chuckle at this statement, all the while knowing just how true it is. With that, the two of you say farewell and finish up your respective business. When (W/N) gets home, he is greeted by Nahida.
Nahida: Ah, welcome back, so anything interesting happen today?
(W/N) narrowed his eyes, seeming skeptical of the archon standing before him.
(W/N): You were spying on me, weren't you? You know I hate that.
Nahida: Oh, and would you have told me about your interesting conversation with their grace if I hadn't?
(W/N) merely looks away and heads for the kitchen to make something to eat. While not strictly necessary for puppets, Nahida said it was good to indulge every once in a while. When he returned, he found Nahida waiting, seemingly in anticipation.
Nahida: So, what do you think of them after having met them?
(W/N) pondered for a moment.
(W/N): I still detest gods, but they are tolerable.
Nahida smiled at this statement. He seems better at communicating his emotions after meeting you as well. After that day, he started introducing himself as (W/N), even going through the trouble to reintroduce himself to his classmates and doing the proper paperwork to legally change his name. After all, why wouldn't he? It is his name, his choice, and he's proud of that fact.

Note: Hi, this was another spur of the moment inspiration hit, and I had to take advantage of it. This is my first character focused fic so I hope I didn't mess any thing up, sorry if you think Wanderer is ot of character, but as far as I'm aware we've never seen him in this situation, but I hope you enjoyed this all the same. Please do use this for inspiration, it's honestly sad how little I've seen this concept.

In fact, I'm a big fan of all the recent efforts to establish Doc as an odd little fellow.

Character Discussion: Who is Miss Heed?
Tumblr media
Whaddup, my fellow hounds! Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'll be doing my first character discussion about Miss Heed from Cartoon Network's Villainous.
As a heroine, or...anti-heroine, she has the ability to charm her victims in a love trance through evaporating and altering any liquid as perfume. In fact, she tried to use a stronger one to hypnotize the world. Sounds like an intimidating foe, right? Yet, is she really what she seems? First, let's take a look at her history.
Character Commentary
Tumblr media
(Screenshot of episode 6)
As far as I know, Miss Heed was a graduate student at Black Hat's academy and a close friend of Dr. Flug. Ironically, she became a superheroine while allying with Goldheart. Unfortuntely, for some unknown reason, she left him (or maybe the other way around).
Flash forward into the series...
A villain calls the Black Hat Organization to capture Miss Heed; Dr. Flug, Demencia, & 5.0.5 landed on her city which was protected by heroes and villains; Flug was under Heed's control while Demencia & 5.0.5 got attacked by the mind control people; Flug goes with Miss Heed; and yadda, yadda, yadda--
SPOILER ALERT!!! Miss Heed used Flug to create her strong, hypnotic perfume, spreading across the world so Goldheart can love her again. However, plans had changes when she was decieved into kissing Flug, unaware Demencia had the camera bot on live. In end, the egolastical heorine is now hated by the public and was sent into a maximum security prison.
Thoughts/Opinions
Here's one:
What kind of superhero would hypnotized their enemies and other heroes only to "gain" popularity?! There's no honor in that!
A true hero is supposed to do something in order to truly receive honor from people. For example, there's a meteor approaching at a nearby city. Now, when a hero witness this, they don't simply send someone powerless. No, the hero should fix the problem fast. And if they have a sidekick, the hero should allow the sidekick to calm the citizens down while the hero would somehow remove the meteor from its presence.
Critically speaking, if Miss Heed were a "superheroine", she would've at least use her powers for good instead of her selfish desires. She wouldn't have to go to jail!!!
Plus, she wouldn't feel defenseless over losing her followers. If it ever happens towards a hero, they'll have to redeem their honor.
Of course, she was a former student of Black Hat's academy, so like they always say, "Once a villain, always a villain." Besides, should we even consider Miss Heed a "hero"?
She would've also been an effective antagonist if her victim's love trance wasn't short-termed and wasn't deceived by Flug through her own narcissism.
In short, Miss Heed may be a pretty face towards everyone, but she lacks so much potential as a true hero.
What Do You Think?
Got any thoughts or opinions about the character mentioned in this post? Well, what are you waiting for? Spill it out in the comments section below!!! BUT WAIT, why not read the rules carefully first? It's laid-out and simple:
No cursing (not even light swearing).
No NSFW text or imagery.

Character profile: Doctor Claret Heartthrob
Tumblr media
Role: Field surgeon
Species: Unicorn
Age: 32
Augmentation: Negligible
Detachment: Support crew
Cult: None
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of the earlier immigrants to Ferrous Dominus, Doctor Calret Heartthrob moved to Ferrous Dominus on a quest for knowledge and fulfillment.
With the arrival of the Iron Warriors on Centaur III and examples of their technology cropping up in Equestrian lands, any pony professional or academic with the nerve to endure the security checkpoints and festering corruption arranged at least a brief pilgrimage to the fortress-factory to study its archives. Doctors in particular were stunned at the countless examples of cybernetic integration and enhancement "enjoyed" by the 38th Company, although they were equally distressed by the knowledge of a plague cult within the fleet. Many of them spent a day perusing the public data stacks and left the fortress with a pile of dataslates detailing new treatments, studies, technologies, and insights they had never imagined.
For Claret, that was not enough.
Tumblr media
The Chaos fleet possessed the knowledge and the tools to advance the Equestrian field of medical science for centuries. They also possessed an abundance of patients.
Given constant combat operations and the rather hazardous living conditions around the city, medical services were always in high demand. Most of these services were provided through the Dark Mechanicus, which frankly left everyone unsatisfied; the Techpriest Biologis disliked being used as mere field medicae, their patients didn't care for their bedside manner, and the injuries were not being treated at an acceptable rate. While the Company did possess field medicae and stitch-servitors, the gap in skills and capabilities between them and the Techpriests was cavernous.
When Doctor Heartthrob initially settled in Ferrous Dominus, her intention was to establish a private clinic to fill part of that gap. Alas, after a mere two weeks of training on the new methods and tools available to her, she was met by a fleet officer who politely explained that she would be working directly for the 38th Company under a formal contract or she would be immediately ejected from the city. Alarmed but determined not to be driven out so easily, Doctor Heartthrob signed the contract and was immediately moved to a treatment medicae. By her third week in Ferrous Dominus she had personally saved a dozen lives and accidentally cured a Nurgle cultist due to an administrative mix-up (he was immediately exiled from the temple).
Tumblr media
Doctor Heartthrob would not say she "enjoys" being a surgeon, precisely, but she finds the work honestly fulfilling despite the dubious characters she's often responsible for saving. She takes her work seriously and believes saving lives is a pony's highest possible calling. However, given the sheer degree of death and carnage that surrounds her in a Chaos fleet, she quickly adopted a cool and desensitized demeanor.
With more experience under her metaphorical belt, she was eventually given the dubious honor of serving on the Harvest of Steel during its next raiding operation. Such a post has its advantages: access to the highest technologies, more downtime between combat operations, and she's already gotten to see a fascinating variety of alien infections. On the other hoof, she's fairly certain the damned souls of her lost patients are haunting her dreams on the ship. Sub-optimal!
Tumblr media
In a strange twist of fate, Doctor Heartthrob has been treating the Elements of Harmony more and more often as they come back from their special missions in increasingly worse shape. The Elements of Harmony - now known as Equinought Squadron - are quite thankful for her services, especially Rarity; it's well-known that the Techpriests have a tendency to discard and replace damaged organs and limbs that could be easily treated and fully restored, a fate Rarity is quite desperate to avoid.

I love how Season 3 of ‘Station 19’ is just showing us all the main character’s backstories. This is what I’m talking about when it comes to character representation and development. Show us who these people are as well as who they’re not anymore. How they’ve grew, how they’ve evolved, transitioned through their adolescence to the wonderfully complex and dynamic people that they are today. How they’ve been influenced by their past and their youth. All their mistakes, all their conditions, all their flaws, and all their traumas. That’s what I want to see in TV shows. A proper exploration of characterization in everything. The positive and the negative so I can see that they’re well-rounded individuals that deserve my attention.
This is how it should be done every time, all the time. Forget about plot because the plot should be wrapped around the characters. Never the other way around.
If you do it the other way around you force things to happen that don’t have any logical reason to happen. Focus on characterization helps you use themes and narrative plot points with substance behind them.
For example, because we know Travis Montgomery is gay and has been married and has lost his husband while on duty, he has a resistance to the system and his bitterness fuels his need to help people who are going through the same or similar emotions he does.
They make the narrative relate to him and his story so the narrative itself for that specific episode resonates even more than it would if that was not ever explored. You feel something from the main narrative because of Travis’ ties to it through his character backstory.
Characterization writing is crucial to any lasting story. Not enough TV show creators/runners are utilizing the characterization to tell the story of the show itself. They’re moving on from it too quickly because they believe getting to the plot beats is more important.
But what is the point of the plot if there’s nothing there that relates to or resonates with the audience? You’re missing the bigger picture of the whole show because you want to hurry up with telling the story. But you can’t tell a truly compelling story without proper characterization exploration. It doesn’t work.
Exploring main character backstories and relationships or even just one-off character interactions are very important to storytelling and I honestly believe that the TV art/entertainment industry has lost the plot because they focus too much on the plot and not enough on characterization.
Everything becomes a mess and nothing gets a successful and satisfying endgame because of it.
Don’t put the plot first. Don’t make it the focus.
Put characterization central to everything else and I promise you that the plot will practically write itself.
Tie themes to characters. Tie narratives to characters. Show us who the characters are and who they’re not.
Let the characterization drive the whole show.

Sometimes I see someone describe a book/thing as 'character-driven' and I recognise it/go check it out and go 'bitch, what characters? Those bland cardboard cutouts who get bounced around by the plot?'
I'm seriously confused by your definition here

"Armageddon" has, rightfully, been remembered as a very, very silly film, but I will defend the characterisation in the script: Each of the oil crew gets one or two lines to define them, and thus we actually kind of like them super early on, and have a ragtag bunch of guys whom you want to see live. It helps that they are played by some of the best, most reliable actors working today: 1. You have Colonel Sharpe, douchebag uptight military man. Who better to play him than William Fichtner? In the most William Fichtner part! I like that he has that little moment of "you guys aren't bad" where he backs down and doesn't shoot them on the moon. What a line to write... 2. "Chick", the loyal, reliable, supportive right hand man, just an all round good dude they give a wife and son to, you're like "Oh man, this motherfucker is DEAD" especially because he's played by Will Patton. But oddly? No! 3. Rockhound: "because I'm a genius, that's why!" acts like he's going to die on the mission, loses a bunch of money to a stripper named Molly Mounds (amazing name) and ends up going insane on the rock. Again survives. Love him, no notes, joint best character. Thank you, Steve Buscemi, as usual. 4. Speaking of the best character, Peter God-Damned Stormare plays "Lev Andropov", the late addition Russian cosmonaut, who is grouchy and Russian and kind of lovable. Will he betray them? No! He is accepted into this group of weirdo rednecks, no questions asked, after his ship explodes, and just sort of sticks around. He gets all of the best non-Rockhound lines ("Russian components? American components? ALL MADE IN TAIWAN!") and did I mention he's Peter Stormare? Love him. 5. Bruce Willis plays a grouchy old dad/leader/roughneck guy, you know, a Bruce Willis character. You know what you're getting with him, and the casting carries it all the way, he could do this part in his sleep. 6. Ben Affleck, oft unfairly maligned, here a solid pick, and has that funny story about being told to "shut the fuck up" by Michale Bay by questioning the stupidity of the plot. 7. Michael Clarke Duncan, always great, plays token black guy "Bear", and once again you're like: "Hmm, a 90s movie? With the big lovable guy who's an absolute sweetheart? Guess he'd better write a will!" But again: nope! Then we get to our "expendable" guys, and even there, they get one or two characteristics so that we know, when they die, a bit about them: There's the fat guy who loves his mother, the cowboy guy played by Owen Wilson, and the rough and tumble roughneck guy. I mean, a few rewrites and you could have these guys having a bit more banter and silliness in space (even if we get the alread incredible, 10/10, no notes line "Why does he have a gun in space?" from a despairing Chick) but yeah - as basic, quick, rapid fire introductions and archetypical characters go? Not bad.

Character Focus: Carmen (Part I)
Carmen is an old character of mine. :) She is the daughter of Felipe, one of my very first self-created Sims (I rarely create additional characters, especially at the time). I needed Felipe to be a temporary boyfriend to one of my other characters. Once they had broken up, I thought it sad for Felipe to be single and forgotten, so I paired him up with a pre-made: Katelyn Missoni. Yes, you read that right: Erik's grandmother is Katelyn Missoni.
So obviously, Carmen is Katelyn and Felipe's daughter. I got interested in her when she became a teen. She's feisty and she knows what she wants. (oh, and fun fact: Tim's father was also a singer and she was a fan of his. She even stalked him to his home, haha...)
But mostly, she was involved with Seth.
Carmen gets interested in the rebels of her class, Seth and Adrian. See, they're rebels because they smoke and skip school and drink beer. And they think they live in a shithole. Very edgy. Very teenage-y.
Tumblr media
But she puts her foot down at bullying. She stands up to Seth when she realizes that he's been picking on Julian (this actually has been going on since elementary school).
Tumblr media
Seth is not the easiest boy to get along with. He's standoffish, uncommunicative, and he picks up fights with anyone he doesn't like. He doesn't seem to care about anything and he scares other people. Carmen knows he's got some issues to deal with, and she'd like him to open up a bit. But he's definitely a tough nut to crack.
Tumblr media
When he ends up inevitably grounded, she comes to see him and they almost kiss. But Seth pushes her away, just saying "Not now".
Tumblr media
In the meantime, Carmen's best friend Daisy is dating Adrian, Seth's sidekick. And Seth's rejection hurts. So Carmen snubs him.
Tumblr media
And just after she tells him to go to hell, this happens. Because hormones.
Tumblr media
Seth is the type of guy who thinks that now is never the right time, but Carmen is the kind of woman who shuts him up by proving that there is never a right time. This will end up being one of the many times in their whole relationship in which Carmen gets her way with him. Because from then on, they become inseparable.
It doesn't take long for them to get physical with each other, but they get caught by Seth's uncle (he has lost his parents and lives with his aunt and uncle). They plan getting away together, leaving their town forever as soon as they become adults.
Tumblr media
Which they do. Away to Lucky Palms, to live the big life!
Tumblr media
Which turns out to be mostly shitty motels and badly paid jobs.
Tumblr media
Carmen works as a waitress while Seth is (officially) a bouncer at the casino. Unofficially, and unbeknownst to Carmen, he also does odd jobs for the local mob boss.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seth proposes to her out of the blue.
Tumblr media
And so they get married at a random wedding chapel. xD Like you would, in Lucky Palms!
Tumblr media
But they quickly get down from their high as money runs low and Seth suddenly announces that he's quit his job. It doesn't help that Carmen's father has finally tracked them down (she didn't exactly say where she was going...), and demands that they return to the Anne Arbor region.
Tumblr media
Penniless and with only Seth's vague assurance that he knows someone who can give him a job in the city, they go back to where they had started. But also reconnect with their friends, Daisy and Adrian.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Life's not easy as they live in a trailer. Carmen complains a lot and gets jealous as Daisy has her first child. Carmen would also like a baby but once again, Seth tells her that now is not a good time and that she has to wait.
Tumblr media
But Carmen is not one to wait patiently. She takes the matter into her own hands and stops using birth control. And of course gets pregnant. Seth is not exactly happy at the news...
Tumblr media
Carmen feels guilty for a while. Until she realizes that Seth has bought a whole lot and has proposed a financial arrangement to Adrian to rent part of it to him and his family (Adrian and Daisy are not exactly cautious with money). She still doesn't know what her husband does all day for a living and where the money is coming from.
Tumblr media
He just tells her rather cryptically that he "follows his father's footsteps".
Tumblr media
New house, new life!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Carmen and Seth are now parents to a little boy named Erik. You may have heard of him? ;)
Tumblr media
Carmen hates getting wrinkles. She'd like to stay young forever!
Tumblr media
But more importantly, she gets more and more annoyed at Seth's late working hours and confronts him about his so-called job...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, that is a shock, but Carmen is a practical woman. She takes it in her stride. At least, now she's got an explanation, which is all she was asking for.
On to Part II!

Closure is such a great character.
Let’s start with her past:
Her real name is Ada Church. She is the (relatively) young heir to a family of vampires, but doesn’t like all the vampire stuff. She was the leader of a little group of black-hat hackers until she got jedi mind-tricked by the demon king into joining a war and being a better person. She’s one of the few surviving members of Babel and was a very important piece of Theresa’s plan before it all fell apart.
There are so many potential sources of angst there, and yet she’s a happy-go-lucky prankster.
She’s either worked out all her issues (which I doubt very much) or she’s just pretending that she doesn't have any. Which really adds to the fact that she’s worried about Kal’tsit, the stoic and withdrawn immortal character. Because while everyone else goes ‘that’s just Kal’tsit, she’s fine’ Closure seems to be very aware she is not fine.
Not to mention that she has ADHD to an almost nonfunctional degree. To the point that if someone doesn’t check up on her she will just forget to eat for days.
She’s also responsible for the finances of Rhodes Island. Which means somehow coming up with enough money for all the charity work and research, and she does it.
She’s one of the smartest characters in the game. You need to hack Ursus military communications? You need an impossibly complex computer of unclear origin analyzed? You need a self-driving car? Closure’s your gal!
There’s hinted to be even more stuff going on with her too, like the vampire magic and the rest of her family. Also, while she’s demonstrably a good person, she occasionally does or says things that seem a bit… callous? Plus, we know she can be scary enough to make Elysium and Chiave fear for their lives.
And all of this is about a character with no major part in any of the non-vignette stories released so far, and no operator records. There isn’t even a place in-game to look at her comments on things in the shop.
She is just such an interesting character for so many reasons, and that is why I will not shut up about this wonderful little gremlin.

Deadpool 3 Could Adapt Marvel's Darkest X-Force Story - But It's A Huge Risk
When Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, the question on many superhero fans’ minds was how Marvel characters like the X-Men and Fantastic Four would join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). One highly anticipated addition to the MCU is Deadpool, and the upcoming “Deadpool 3” promises to be a universe-hopping adventure. Speculation suggests that the film might draw influences from one of the…

I really despise the Marvelification of Stranger Things, because all the interviews nowadays are constantly referencing how fast paced and epic and big the finale will be but the reason people fell in love with the show wasn't special effects or long episodes; it was the plot, it was the characters, it was the mystery. Stranger Things 1 may have been a story about a government conspiracy and a monster, but that's not why we stuck around. The show can throw amazing CGI, Russians, a battle within the American army and an apocalypse at the audience with the biggest budget known to man but if they forget to ground it and keep it central, it'll just get lost amongst a plethora of other "epic" blockbusters. We want Steven King, not Avengers.

All this aroace character shipcourse has proven to me that a majority of people that interact in fandom cannot actually interact with characters and media outside of shipping and genuinely I believe you need to learn how to interact with media outside of shipping.
