already seeing people who clearly don’t understand that a lot of us who are upset about what happened to marwa in this episode aren’t upset about the characters’ in-universe morality but the real life misogyny and racism in the way that this plot was handled lol

ya'll what is goin' on in the uty section of tumblr.
what is goin' on with the shippers
Usually tumblr is like one of the most chill places for fandom shit ever but going in the uty ship tags,,,
"MY ship is better, YOURS doesn't make sense blah blah etc"
literally who cares....
you don't like it? don't engage with it. block the tag...
why are you angry.... why are you harassing people who like a ship you don't like...
How does people liking a ship that isn't your ship literally affect you in anyway..........
again, I thought we left this behavior in the 2010's can ya'll like..... not........

"But this thing isn't for me and I want everything to be for me :((((" is literally toddler talk and yet here we are, on the internet, watching people with 21+ in their profile talk like that unironically

Hey, guys! Guess who always forgets to update on tumblr...that's right, its me. But anyway. Participated in EkuSeriReiWeek2023 a while back. I uh...didn't finish...but I did 5 out of 7 days! Which is better than my usual, hahaha...:| So here's here's days 1, 3 and 5. Day One: Dress Up! Day Three: Domestic! Day Five: Closing Time! I wrote fanfics for days two and four. Day Two: Hobbies! https://archiveofourown.org/works/49772713 Summary:
The weather is nice and Reigen wants to go out. Serizawa suggests fishing. Dimple is agreeable to pretty much anything, even if he complains about it a little.
Day Four: Confessions! https://archiveofourown.org/works/49782517 Summary:
Reigen, in a burst of inspiration and courage, decides to confess his feelings for Serizawa and Dimple. He even comes up with a contingency plan to keep himself from backing out. But with no way to back out and the day getting closer to its end, his bravery takes a tailspin as well as his capacity to deal with his emotions and thoughts.

So I finally watched the 2D clone wars show, and I gotta say, it’s PHENOMENAL!!!
I now adore every second of it, in all of its sassy, oversimplified, primitively scripted, 2D glory!!!
I LOVE how Kenobi spends practically the whole time 100% done with everything, Anakin really is a disaster at heart, half the time the animators zoom in on something, just to start at a picture of a droids face while it talks - with zero motion whatsoever, Windu’s rocket punches, Yoda’s dramatic expressions, PADME and the marriage drama, the bazooka ARC (that guy had tired Rex energy, I LOVED it), a very different perspective of the moments right before Kenobi and Skywalker enter the battle of Coruscant, and it clearly was so inspirational for so many other SW shows!!! Not to mention how it flushes out so many things I’ve always wondered about!
And this is where the tradition of warning Anakin of his fate begins! And he still doesn’t get it! AND he’s 100% dramatic ALL THE TIME!!!
It’s amazing!!!
But it does bother me how many of the clones are truly treated as disposable! It’s like the only ones that make it out of the conflicts are the Jedi and the Sith! They just got mowed down left, right, and center!!! It was so cruel to them!!! And they mostly avoided giving ANY of them names!!! Cody was in it, and 1 other named guy but I couldn’t figure out what his name was. The Commander in red who led the ARCs! They were the only clones that (mostly) survived!!! It was so sad to watch them all just get disposed of so quickly and easily! They didn’t have to do that!!!

At the beginning when the guys are just getting to know each other, Mike and Davy get into a fight (something silly and easily avoidable, but they don’t really know each other yet and they’re suddenly living in very close quarters, tensions are high). Mike loses his temper and starts yelling (he hasn’t learned to regulate his emotions yet and is used to yell or be yelled at). Davy (who’s the newest to the group and not used to being surrounded by this much testosterone (see: 3 sisters)) gets lowkey terrified since Mike is a lot bigger than him and is extremely scary when mad. Davy’s eyes start to water and he’s kinda frozen in fear and doesn’t know what to do (the others don’t step in because they’re also unsure and its the first big fight in the Pad) and begins to (unwantedly) regress. Mike notices this and is kinda like ‘oh shit’ and immediately calms down and is trying to apologise but it’s too late and Davy’s in tears. Mike has to comfort him and soothe him and from then on the rest is history.
AAAAH OH MY GOODNESS!!

When your sub asks for permission, sometimes you need to make them beg. Regardless of what she's asking for or whether you are going to say yes or no, ask her to get on her knees and beg like a good girl (or boy or fae).
It's not about cruelly denying and making a show of telling them no or making them earn what they want. It's about taking an innocuous moment and showing your sub their place in that moment with affection.
Domination is a love language after all.

one of my least favorite themes about the internet lately is non-american people complaining that americans are talking about american-centric issues on the internet and being like "nOt EvErYtHiNg ReVoLvEs ArOuNd YoU iDiOtS" and it's like. yeah buddy. that's why we didn't apply it to anywhere else in the world. we're talking about the specific issues we are facing as americans living in the states. the reading comprehension is atrocious
#like idk how to tell you that not every american you interact with is gonna be living a rich life in a mega mansion free from strife#the vast majority of us are living under a religious rule disguised as democracy with our own police force killing us in droves every day#your biased view of the states as this place with no pain and suffering is harmful and people are dying in our streets#and its always from these people who think they're communists who care about the collective good and i just. man. i don't understand#i don't understand the disconnect. we're a part of this conversation too the real issues we face are getting real people killed#especially when its coming from leftist non-americans to leftists americans. its like#you KNOW i don't support my country why are you berating me for talking about the real problems we're facing?#individual leftist americans don't make the policies that are killing other countries and i think those conversations are allowed to be two#separate entities without people screaming at us for talking about the atrocities we're facing just bc our government that we have lost#control of is doing things we do not consent or agree to#like fuck dude. americans are still PEOPLE#we are still SUFFERING#and to be clear this isn't to take away from suffering from anyone else this is specifically about when someone from the states complains#about something happening IN THE STATES and non-americans butt in to make a comment about it not being all about us like#baby WHAT#anyways whatever i'm tired i'm going to bed

tired of being called boring cuz i hate toxic ships </33 im sorry i get triggered easily by stuff like that brah, the most toxic my ships r allowed to get before i get triggered is a lil possessiveness and a hint of unhealthy codependency 🤭 beyond that, i literally get sick to my stomach lmao..
do what u want but anyone whose never been abused before does NOT get the right to call ME boring for not liking abusive ships..

I don't think ai images and art have any real value tbh. Like do you do your thing if you wanna create Hot MILFs in your Area but using ChatGPT or whatever I don't care, but i genuinely don't think it should be grouped with traditional or digital art.

"A Foundation of Modern Political Thought: A Review of John Locke's Second Treatise of Government"
Tumblr media
John Locke's "Second Treatise of Government" stands as a cornerstone of modern political philosophy, presenting a compelling argument for the principles of natural rights, social contract theory, and limited government. Written against the backdrop of political upheaval in 17th-century England, Locke's treatise remains as relevant and influential today as it was upon its publication.
At the heart of Locke's work lies the concept of natural rights, wherein he asserts that all individuals are born with inherent rights to life, liberty, and property. Locke argues that these rights are not granted by governments but are instead derived from the natural state of humanity. Through logical reasoning and appeals to natural law, Locke lays the groundwork for the assertion of individual rights as fundamental to the legitimacy of government.
Central to Locke's political theory is the notion of the social contract, wherein individuals voluntarily enter into a political community to secure their rights and promote their common interests. According to Locke, legitimate government arises from the consent of the governed, and its authority is derived from its ability to protect the rights of its citizens. This contract between rulers and the ruled establishes the basis for legitimate political authority and provides a framework for assessing the legitimacy of governmental actions.
Locke's treatise also advocates for the principle of limited government, arguing that the powers of government should be strictly defined and circumscribed to prevent tyranny and abuse of authority. He contends that governments exist to serve the interests of the people and should be subject to checks and balances to prevent the concentration of power in the hands of a few. Locke's advocacy for a separation of powers and the rule of law laid the groundwork for modern democratic governance and constitutionalism.
Moreover, Locke's emphasis on the right to revolution remains a contentious and influential aspect of his political philosophy. He argues that when governments fail to fulfill their obligations to protect the rights of citizens, individuals have the right to resist and overthrow oppressive regimes. This revolutionary doctrine has inspired movements for political reform and self-determination throughout history, serving as a rallying cry for those seeking to challenge unjust authority.
In conclusion, John Locke's "Second Treatise of Government" is a seminal work that continues to shape the discourse on political theory and governance. Through his eloquent prose and rigorous argumentation, Locke presents a compelling vision of a just and legitimate political order grounded in the principles of natural rights, social contract, and limited government. His ideas have left an indelible mark on the development of liberal democracy and remain essential reading for anyone interested in understanding the foundations of modern political thought.
