My sweet girl... I will miss you so much.
There are few things sadder, in my opinion, than arriving at the vet's office with a living, breathing creature that you love and leaving with an empty carrier. I had a feeling that I'd be facing this today. My beautiful cat, Luna, has not been herself the past few days. She hasn't been eating and was clearly in pain, and I was dreading what the vet might find. She was 14, an age when things can and will go wrong.
We adopted Luna just a few weeks after losing Freebee, as if Freebee knew that Luna was waiting for us. She was a little black kitten with pale green eyes that just purred her way into our hearts. She was at my side through all the joys and pains that I've endured the past 14 years. I can't imagine what life would have been like without her, and how empty it feels right now.
Finding that she had a rapidly growing abdominal tumor, the same thing that took my sweet Freebee, broke my heart. I held her as the vet ended her pain, wanting to make sure that the last thing she saw and smelled was the person who loved her so much. Now she's crossing the Rainbow Bridge where my mom, Freebee and all who I've lost are waiting to hold her until I meet them. I know that the Lord and Lady will keep her safe. She is now free from her pain, young and beautiful.
Thank you for being in my life, Luna. You will never be forgotten. Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again. I'll see you at the Bridge. Have fun until I get there.

Just lost my buddy Wolfgang. He was nineteen and lived a good life, but it's still hard to say goodbye.

I unexpectedly lost my little Jujubee today. She was one of my Christmas babies. I don’t know which one she is in these pics, her and her sister Jinkx are practically twins. She was only 9.

August Patreon Pattern
~ Rainbow Bridge~
I've always wanted to design a pattern that people could stitch to help memorialize lost pets. This project has been pretty emotional for me since my eldest cat, Che, has been struggling with medical issues. Thank you to my patrons, Jesse & Jasmyn, who shared their cat's lives with me and allowed me to use their names as examples in this design. I hope I've given Radek & Pumpkin the love they deserve.
You can find this extensive pattern, with multiple customization options, on my Patreon. There are 6 gates you can choose from, and lots of ideas you can use to make the design personal with colored stardust & names.
www.patreon.com/badstitch
This was stitched using DMC Diamant for the sparkley stardust on @witchsgardencrafts fabric. The design is available on my patreon until September 15, 2023.

Cat people: *share long story about their cats*
(Story is basically "my cat did a normal cat thing but I thought it was really cute.")
Cat people: *show you several hundred pictures of their cats*
(All the pictures show normal looking cats doing normal cat activities.)
Cat people: *create entire language to talk about their cats, who they consider family*
(This is totally different than parents of human babies, of course.)
Hi. It's me. I'm Cat people.

39 for the OC questions!
This silly little box kitty creature, Boxitty.
It came to life through a child's wish. I intended for it to be a Fakemon, but I might make it its own thing at some point.
