Cat Cafe Mishap; Progress Report 1

I was serious about making the dating sim >:^D so this is gonna be a really long post (wip name, im up for ideas :[])

Started actually making the game earlier today, it looks like shit but that's how most games start lol here are some screenshots

Then I realized I had to give Rick a coworker so I made a quick OC, if anyone has some good name suggestions let me know!

Made and cleaned up a sketch of the game's icon and then i made it pink and cutesy, so I have two versions. Was tired when i made it so it's a bit rough

There are many things about the "happy couples are boring" writing philosophy that annoy me, but especially because those kinds of writers never let their characters be single either. The characters are always dating but nothing can last unless the characters leave the story or the story itself ends.

#like i am really glad that jesse willams and sara drew left grey's because that is the only reason the japril endgame happens #peter parker can't be happily married to mj because that is unrealistic but he never has trouble finding a love interest #and like if their partner dies characters will never take more than a season to be dating again #just say that dating mishaps are the only thing you know how to write #it is a YOU problem if you don't know how to make marriage or just existing as a single person interesting

generally the date was nice and we had a good time (we watched the two towers which I my favourite one and I got to thirst over eomer and faramir jn secret which was nice) but also he kissed me and we made out which he was way more into than i was and i don’t know if I accepted it because I just missed the touch of another person, because I drank too much or because I wanted to avoid the awkward convo that would follow if I refused (he never ever made me feel unsafe which I think is very important to state here) but I don’t think I enjoyed the kissing very much which I usually do and I already feel so horrible because I feel like I got his hopes up when I now just want to tell him that i don’t see a romantic future for us but also I had a nice time and it felt nice in the moment so is that a sign that I should meet with him again even though during the date I couldn’t wait for it to end? like it was nice being kissed but I didn’t enjoy the kissing as a whole but also we had nice conversations and it was fun but also I pretended to be tired so he would leave? idk I’m very confused and now want to eat a brownie and read fanfic and just never think about it ever again
