a/n hii don’t worry, this is allowed. i hope you’re have a fantastic day too! also i wrote this in a pre-puberty/before final selection sort of au so he’s grouchy here lolll.

October fourteenth,

genya shinazugawa; prompt 28: “that’s your favorite candy? you have shit taste.”

inviting genya to go trick-or-treating with you was a mistake. from the very beginning, he was grouchy. from what? you didn’t know. you shrugged it off, it was only natural, he is in his rebellious phase after all.

however, genya, the short-tempered boy was just pissed off at you. why? because you were making him carry your bag of candy. at first, the young soon-to-be demon slayer thought he could handle it. that was at first, now, with two bags filled to brim with candy, he struggles. what makes it worse is that your picky ass, was only choosing your favorite candy making your bag full of it, just one brand of candy.

“y/n” he grunts out.

“hm?”

“take your damn bag” he shoves the bag of candy into your arms.

“but you said you would take it” you playfully complain to him, pissing him off more.

“i never said that, you just shoved it in my arms”

you fake gasp as you lie, messing with him further, “i would never!”

“you did! an hour ago”

“nuh-uh” you continue to mess with him.

sighing, he gives up as you shove your bag of candy into his arms once again. you take out two pieces of candy from your bag, one for you and one for him.

“want one?” you ask him.

he looks up at you then down at the two pieces of candy in your hand.

“wait- that’s your favorite candy? you have shit taste.”

playfully punching him in the arm, you exclaim, “oh shut up! not like yours is any better!”

— NOTE: You're not annoying, I am thrilled that you are back!! :D While this request idea is amazing, I apologize that it came out sorta bad. I'm not very good with drabbles. I hope you still enjoy it. <3

Genya is used to having people look at him strangely. He doesn't blame them either. A demon slayer who doesn't use breathing techniques? A demon slayer who eats demons?

He thinks he understands why they judge him so much, now, that he is seeing that habit in someone else. Someone who doesn't even know about the demon slayers at all.

"Want some?"

While Genya is used to the taste of demons, (he's had that disgusting, rotten, moldy flavor and icky texture in his mouth more times than he can count. But it's worth it. It will be worth it, when he can sit and eat something normal with Sanemi again,) He doesn't like the flavor.

He shakes his head. Still not quite processing what he's learned. He was called on a mission because demons kept coming here and then kept disappearing. The headquarters couldn't figure out why it was happening, so as a tsugoku, he was sent.

Only to discover someone living in the mountains, surviving off of eating demons like a feral animal most likely would. Though you're actually quite well behaved, to his surprise. He expected this was something Hashibira would do.

You shrug, and he's happy he doesn't have to eat any of that. He knows it's rude to refuse, but he would like to avoid that flavor as much as he could. Besides, he ate in the town before he climbed up here.

Despite his refusal, you still invite him to sit with you as you're eating. He can't find it in himself to refuse, so he awkwardly sits down next to you, praying you don't say anything about how tense he is.

Fortunately for him, you don't. But he's very curious. He knows why he's doing this, but why are you? You don't need to, like he does. He's torn, should he ask, or should he leave it be?

That's when he notices something.

Your eyes. They're more alike a demon, than anything. With felline-like irises, the same way Nezuko's are, and the same way his sometimes turn.

Then he notices your teeth, biting into the flesh. They're much sharper than the teeth of a human. Yet again, they remind him of his own, and that of a demon biting off chuncks of flesh.

"Why do you eat demons?"

He hopes you won't be offended by the question. It left his mouth before he even had time to think it through properly. You only glance at him, shrugging.

"They're much easier to hunt than an animal. And they're not human, even if some look like a human. So what's the problem?"

He shakes his head. He doesn't want to make you upset or bother you. And yet, for some reason, he continues to ask you questions.

"How long have you been eating them?"

You take longer to answer that question, thinking it over. You glance at him for a second, before turning back to the demon, and he sits there, worried that you're ignoring him.

"Ever since I was left alone, I think. It was very long ago, so I've been doing it for a while. I can't pin point exactly when for you."

He nods. You seem to be around his age, so that must have been a very long time. You must have been eating demons since you were around five, if you can't remember when. Or he might be wrong, but even so.

This time, you're the one who asks him a question. "Why are you so curious, anyway?"

"Curiosity." He's quick to answer. He doesn't want to tell you that you look like you're turning into a demon. That you looked like that before you ate one. He can't let his guard down, either.

He watches you give him a look that tells him you don't believe him, but he's relieved that you let him get away with it. It's not like it's a complete lie, either. Just.. not the whole truth.

"Have your teeth always been that sharp?"

"No. They only started getting sharper around a few years ago. My nails, too." You show him your nails, and it just confirms what be thinks. He doesn't say anything, letting you eat in silence. Maybe if he was anyone else, he would vomit at the idea of putting a demon in his mouth, but he's so used to the smell it doesn't bother him anymore.

Once you're done, he finds the courage to ask you his last question. "Do you get sunburned easily?"

He does. It's a side effect it has.

You nod.

It doesn't take a genius to realize what that means. Or maybe, for anyone who isn't used to the world of eating humans, it would. Before he ate his first demon, he could count the amount of times he had gotten sunburned on one hand. After that, he had sunburns almost all the time. And he grew more and more exhausted in the sunlight.

He doesn't necessarily want to tell you. But he also knows it isn't something he should keep to himself.

"If you keep eating them, you'll turn into one of them." He keeps it short, and simple. He doesn't risk you getting confused about it.

He gets up. You're not a demon yet so there's no reason he should fight you.

"I won't tell you to stop eating them." Despite knowing the risks, Genya wasn't going to stop either. Not when much was at stake for him. It would be hypocritical to tell you to do so. "But if you do turn into a demon, do your best to not eat any humans."

He knew it was possible. Out of the thousand of demons only one had been able to beat the control, but as unlikely as it was, it was possible. You didn't know how unlikely, so maybe that would help you fight it, somehow.

"...Sure."

After you agreed, he left, with no idea on what he should tell the headquarters. But he had no intentions of returning. Despite that, knowing he wasn't the only one.. it did make him feel a bit more determined.

Yet, he never got your name.

But ok picture this, you were tenderly washing and untangling his hair. And because it felt so comforting to have you playing with his hair, Muichiro ended up falling asleep.

After he fell asleep you give him a gentle peck on the forehead then sat and leaned your head against him.

He then woke up to find you sound asleep.

Muichiro would carry you back to the house you were staying in in the swordsmith village and help you get cleaned up.

Aaaaand you would wake up realising you were in Muichiro’s bed with him cuddling you from behind :)

Mitsuri

Let’s all be real here, you both would be flustered seeing each other in the hot spring.

“KYAAAAAAAAAAH! It’s our first time soaking in a hot spring together! Isn’t this exciting??!”

You both would be chatting endlessly the whole time while you were soaking.

While Mitsuri was ranting about food or cats, your eyes would dart between her fern green eyes and her b a d o n k e r s I know you would you little perverts

Yea there were definitely a ton lot of ranting about random things.

After having a nice long relaxing soak in the hot spring, you and Mitsuri would have a nice meal.

Genya

The poor boy would be painted red all over and be frozen in place as soon as you showed up.

You would be talking to him, asking how his day was, or whether he ate dinner already. But he would be too flustered to even open his mouth and talk to you.

You being intimate with him obviously did not help.

Tracing the scars that decorated his body is a must.

Throughout the whole time you both were soaking, the only thing anyone could hear was you happily ranting about random stuff, like what you wanted to eat for dinner.

After soaking, you would help Genya clean up. Because, well, the whole time Genya is too flustered to do anything.

Since he doesn’t usually go eat with everybody else during dinner, you would eat with him in his room.

You like seeing his soft side don’t you :)

Nezuko-chan

Nezuko is a fun and happy little girl, so I for sure know you both would be playing around in the hot spring

The both of you would splash water at each other, chase each other around the hot spring etc.

You would be playing with Nezuko like an elder sibling

Speaking of siblings, bring big brother Tanjiro too next time, Nezuko would be overjoyed to soak with her favourite two people in the world

I can imagine you giving her cute little pecks on the forehead

You would help Nezuko clean up and hold her hand as you both went to eat dinner with Tanjiro and Mitsuri afterwards :)
