Non-English "Cinderella" adaptations that might have influenced Disney's 2015 live action remake
Rossini's La Cenerentola (Italian opera, 1817). In the opera, the king has died, and the prince's search for a bride is motivated by his pending coronation. (The 2010 German Märchenperlen version also makes this choice.) In the 2015 film, the king is mortally ill, and later dies after the ball. Thus the opera's Cinderella and her 2015 counterpart both ascend straight to the throne in the end. Also, the opera's "fairy godfather" Alidoro disguises himself as a beggar and rewards Cinderella for treating him kindly, just as the 2015 Fairy Godmother does. (Although the Fairy Godmother also does this in Prokofiev's famous ballet.) The opera's Prince Ramiro also has a constant male companion, his valet Dandini, much like 2015's Kit has the Captain of the Guard (although many versions of Cinderella's prince have similar companions). Last but not least, both princes disguise themselves as a servant at some point: Ramiro switches clothes with Dandini for the ball to observe the true characters of the ladies, while Kit disguises himself as a guard to secretly observe the slipper-fitting.
Three Nuts (or Three Wishes) for Cinderella (Czech/German, 1973). In both this version and the 2015 film, Cinderella steals a few moments of freedom by riding her horse into the forest, and there she meets the prince on a hunt and stops him from shooting a deer. (Although in the 1973 film she throws a snowball at him, he chases her, and they taunt each other, while in the 2015 version they share a philosophical discussion about kindness and tell each other a little about their lives.) Both of these versions also hark back to the Grimms' tale early on, with Cinderella's father figure (the manservant Vincek in 1973, her actual father in 2015) going on a journey, and Cinderella asking for the first branch that hits his nose (1973) or brushes his shoulder (2015) as a gift. (In 1973 the branch contains the three magic hazelnuts that take the place of the Fairy Godmother in this version, while in 2015 it doesn't serve the plot, but is poignantly brought to her by the messenger who breaks the news of her father's death.)
Sechs auf einen Strech ("Six at one Blow"): Aschenputtel ("Cinderella") (German, 2011). Cinderella repeats a mantra that she learned from her mother: "You must never lose courage." In the 2015 film, she has a similar mantra, also from her mother: "Have courage and be kind." She also first meets the prince while he's hunting in the woods in this version, and the end sees them about to become king and queen, though in this case the old king is still alive, he just chooses to retire.
Zolushka (Russian, 1947). Cinderella has blonde hair, which she wears in fluffy shoulder-length curls at the ball, while the prince has wavy chestnut brown hair. (These could be coincidences, though.) The Fairy Godmother first appears as a humbly dressed old woman (although not as a beggar in 1947), then reveals her true, magical and glamorous form. The prince is also portrayed with boyish vulnerability as well as with courtly charm, and he even cries in one scene. (The '47 prince in the woods when he thinks he's lost Cinderella forever, 2015's Kit at his father's deathbed.)
When I posted my review of the 2015 film, @ariel-seagull-wings noticed the parallels with the 1947 Russian version. She suggested that Kenneth Branagh might have been influenced by that version, since British viewers are more likely than Americans to see the adaptations from continental Europe. The more I think about it, the more I realize that Branagh and the 2015 screenwriter Chris Weitz might have been influenced by more than one European Cinderella.

When you remake something and make changes, you’re basically saying that you either want to say something different than what the original said because what it had to say was stupid—
—or what the original said wasn’t already said perfectly, and you could say it better.

I’ll give you an example. Donald Glover, who voiced Simba in the remake of the Lion King, openly said that the message of the new Lion King was different than the old one. And that’s easy to see. The old message was something like “Remember who you are: Don’t run from your responsibility.” The new message is “Don’t be ashamed of who you are.” They communicated that change with subtle smaller changes, because although most of that movie was a less appealing shot-for-shot remake, Simba said little things like “I’m not like you,” instead of saying, “I’m not who I used to be,” to Mufasa’s ghost. Or he replied to Scar’s bullying, “I’m nothing,” rather than the emphasis being placed on him insisting that he’s “not a murderer.”
That’s saying, “yeah the old message was great but we’re going to take the award-winning songs and characters and story and make it say something else.”
Which is like trying to use a recipe for brownies to describe your chicken salad. You might as well just make an original movie, so the characters and pacing and music all fit that message more appealingly.
Here’s a different example.
The new Live Action Little Mermaid has lots of thematic references to understanding and finding one’s own voice, which, on the surface, sound like they’re exactly what the original animated classic was saying.
But they make little changes, like having Ariel make the decision to go to the surface for the first time just before she meets Eric, or big changes, like having her be the one to kill Ursula. The problem is, both of those story elements in the first film were used to drive the main message home: “True love is understanding and sacrifice.” So when you change those elements, but claim you’re still saying the same thing, all you mean is “What you said was good, but watch me say it better.”
That would be fine, if it actually worked. But it doesn’t. The Lion King (2019) is worse than the original because it’s characters are bland and lean more toward annoying or weak than they did in the original, thanks to small changes. Now Simba doesn’t look like the irresponsible runaway who needs to remember that he’s the son of a king and has responsibility. Now he just looks like a sad boi with trauma. Now Ariel doesn’t look like a real, relatable teenager who recklessly goes for the things she’s passionate about. Now she just looks like every other near-perfect heroine who’s circumstances determine her struggles instead of her own character flaws determining her struggles.
I’m tired, but I’m appreciating the originals.

As a child I grew up watching Man of La Mancha with my family (I have older parents so that film came out when they were high school/college aged) and I always felt Cervantes speech about how to see the world deep in my bones even as a child. I mean isn't that what being a child is all about seeing things with imagination and the goodness in people around you. It's why Dolly Parton as a little girl didn't see the made up flashy dressing woman in town as a "tramp" she thought she was beautiful. You don't have prejudices about people based on what they look like as a child. It's why Don Quixote can see Aldonza the Whore as his fair Lady Dulcinea and her dish cloth as gossamer. He's resorted back to a child's view of the world in his "madness" if it can be called madness to see the world in a better light than those around you who claim to see it how it is but just have layers of bitterness and prejudice.
It's why Ella can see the value in little animals like her mice and why she helps the odd looking old woman with bad manners even though she's mid breakdown. "What is a cup of milk? Nothing. But kindness... Kindness makes it everything." Ella is like a lived out real world version of the quote Cervantes has in Man of La Mancha. Because she's not pretending the world is okay she's faced it with courage and can look it in the eye and she knows it by it's right name. But she has the courage to continue to be kind and to continue to see the world through the eyes she had as a little girl during her golden childhood.

Ok, I'm very new to this so I'll quickly explain what and how I'm going to do it.
💕 I will write one shots and stories of Disney Characters x reader.
💕 If you wish, you can change the gender of the character, make a modern AU, put LGBT+ couples or whatever you want. (Under +18, I'm not good at writing stuff like that ^^")
💕 The reader will always be "____", that is, I will not give it a name or physical description since I like everyone to feel integrated into the story.
💕 All the stories will be written in Spanish and below in English, all in the same post.

Anastasia took a deep breath. 
Hands shaking as her mother rambled on about how she’d ruined her life and how no good man would want her anymore now that that lowly baker had knocked her up and weighed her down with children that had ruined her body. As if she and that baker hadn’t been married for three years now.
As if her worth was based on how good she looked after child birth.
As if her sweet little, perfect  twins—Jeanie and Boyce—were mistakes that Anastasia should be ashamed of. 
As if she was in her house and not the other way around. 
She stood up.
Jacob gave her a concerned look from the kitchen were he was trying to make the twins’ their bottles.
“Mother. Shut up.” Anastasia snapped, coldly. Staring her mother down. 
Lady Tremaine reeled back, eyes widening. 
“Excuse me—”
The red head didn't back down for once. 
She was tired.  So very tired. 
And she couldn't take it anymore.
“YOU HEARD ME! SHUT UP!” 
“How dare you speak to me like that! I'm your mother—”
“And I'm their mother, and this is my home. And I will not allow you to speak to me or my family like that in my own home! So apologize or leave!”
“I have nothing to apologize for—”
Anastasia stare grew cold. “Then I have nothing more to say to you. So leave and don't come back until you've shaped up.”
