The Cabal (Earth-4339)

Here’s another part of the Oliverse I’ve been working on: the twisted versions of its heroes and villains known simply as The Cabal.

This version of The Cabal reside in the dystopian universe of Earth-4339, a dark parrallel universe to the Oliverse created by an catastrophic event known as the “Midtown Massacre” that took the lives of several innocent civilains and heroes in New York, spurring the Oliver Osnick of this universe, corrupted by a powerful relic called the Siege Perilous, to prevent any criminal or terrorist activity before it happens. A goal he plans to see through with the aid of his Perennial Army (Symbiote/Cybernetic-Hybrids) and his inner circle of those who either agree his views or side with him out of fear for their survival.

In Memory of a Legend (Oliverse)

Just a piece I did of a little memorial for the Oliverse version of Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman.

For any confusion, in this universe, Jessica Drew was killed on the same night that Oliver Osnick/Steel Spider lost his left arm due to an attack by Eddie Brock/Venom and Lily Hollister/Demogoblin.

Because of this, Ollie was shunned by some of members of the Spider Society, especially Julia Carpenter, who had to fill Jessica’s role as the group’s leader.

Now everyone mourns what happened to Jessica and her memory, while still trying to honor her legacy, especially Ollie, who feels especially responsible for her death.

Here’s another Across the Spider-Verse inspired piece I did for Ollie Osnick/Steel Spider referencing his appearance in Thunderbolts Vol 1 112.

To be honest, I really am hoping beyond hope that either Sony or Marvel do something with the character because it feels like they’re sitting on a lot of untapped potential with the character and I think Oliver, out of all the other Spider-Variants, deserves a lot more attention and appreciation in mainstream media.

The ANAD Superior Spider-Man (Oliverse)

Just a fun piece I did of my version of Oliver Osnick/Steel Spider from Earth-5203 superimposed over his Superior Spider-Man Variant from the world I’ve labeled as Earth-4221.

To clarify, the 4221 universe is similar to the main Oliverse, with the exception that this universe’s Ollie variant took up the mantle of the Superior Spider-Man, with his sister Sadie taking up his former mantle as Steel Spider.

Just thought I would throw this up to clarify any confusion with some of the versions of Ollie and Sadie that I created earlier.

Steel Spider V.S. Doctor Octopus (Oliverse)

Since I know some of you guys are interested in my Oliverse version of Carolyn Trainer/Doc Ock, here’s a little piece I did of both her and Oliver Osnick/Steel Spider staring each other down in a classic rivalry stance.

[To clarify, in this universe, after Otto Octavius’s brain was severly damaged after a skirmish with Spider-Man, Carolyn Trainer, a student of Octavius, took his place as Doctor Octopus.

After a while, she encountered the Steel Spider when he returned from his hiatus after losing his left arm to Venom. Upon finding out he was once a Doc Ock fan himself, Carolyn felt upset that Oliver would use the Doctor’s type of tech to aid the Spiders, which put the two Ock successors at odds with each other.

So nowadays, Carolyn is to Oliver what Green Goblin was to Spider-Man, bitter rivals to the very end.]

Grieving as a Ghost (Oliverse)

Just a pretty emotional Oliverse piece I did of Gwen Warren/Arachne breaking down in front of the graves of her sister and father Gwen and George Stacy.

[To clarify, in this universe (Earth-5203), Gwen Warren was one of the clones created by Miles Warren who was saved when Oliver Osnick/Steel Spider prevented the events of the Clone Saga alongside Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

Because of her genetic makeup, she retained the memories of her predecessor, Gwen Stacy, which caused her to have multiple issues with her identity, including struggling with the fact that both her memories weren’t entirely her own and that her sister and father are both dead.

So now, as she struggles with her powers and personality, she takes the time to mourn the family that fell before her, and a life she never really lived.]

Thought I would throw this out here as a change of pace from my usual lighthearted pieces. Besides, I didn’t want to skimp on some of the more important things from the lore.
