No hello? Hi? How are you? Nothing before dropping me with the COOLEST CONCEPT EVER???

(Also this is quite literally my SCP au Destinyshipping lol)

The wind seems to adore Kai. Making his fire stronger, getting more active when he's outside. The wind dragons in the First Realm trust him endlessly. When Kai's in a good mood, the wind is ruffling through his hair, and some part of him knows that deep down, it's Morro, telling him hello.

And if someone's pissing Kai off? Threatening his friends? Threatening him? The wind seems to pick up faster around him, keeping all the dangers away. Kai is the wind's favorite ninja, commanding it almost as much as he does fire.

Thinking about how the elongated four year time skip affected Kai’s grief. He accepted it, sure, but I like to think that his guilt and longing for his sister started to cause him some thoughts that were worse for wear. He either accepts it, moves on and simply trains children for the sake of Nya, or falls further to his grief with the guise he'd accepted it himself.

What are your opinions on Destiny Shipping/Firestorm/Morro x Kai

In LotL, it’s a hard no just because I have cemented my hc age difference that makes it unshippable in my brain (Morro is 15, Kai’s closer to 20)

If we’re assuming similar ages, then I don’t have a strong opinion either way? I’m not really big on shipping in general, and no artist has come around to sway my opinion lol

My only Ninjago ships are:

The pre-s10 canonical ones except Harumi and Lloyd (I haven’t seen Crystalized yet, so idk if they try to continue that doomed romance there)

Jay and Cole (the love triangle in s3 would have been WAY better if Jay as the axis to it and not Nya lmao)

Ronin and Dareth (everyone is sleeping on it tbh)

Most of my favorite ships either have really strong canon backing OR they have a “bickering old married couple where no one knew they were married for years because they did it secretly for tax reasons but like also they would die for each other” kind of dynamic

I think Kai and Morro have a LOT of potential for a funky angsty platonic dynamic, but I don’t personally ship them. Firestorm is a rad ship name tho this fandom is really good with those

JUST - It's so versatile??? It can be either the sweetest thing, or the spiciest thing! After a fun day, Kai has Morro wrapped up in his arms, and without even thinking about it, he's kissing at Morro's neck, coaxing giggles and squeals from him. Just a loving little gesture after a great day.

Then there's the times it's less happy. The times when they're both terrified to let go of each other, clinging like there's no tomorrow. Maybe there was a battle gone wrong, maybe today was just a bad day... But Kai buries himself into Morro, and plants the tiniest little kiss to his neck, to remind him he's still there. Something to anchor him to reality.

Then there's those tender kisses, where Kai can't imagine being anywhere else. He gently pulls Morro's hair away from his neck to make room for his lips instead, and feels him shiver in anticipation for more. It's so easy to fall into him, it's so easy to just adorn him in every little affection he can think of.

Terrahawks on the Comeback Trail from Anderson Entertainment and Tiny Giants 

The 1983 series, originally created by Gerry Anderson and Christopher Burr, is to be reimagined for a 21st-century audience, more than 30 years after its original run ended.

The original series revolves around the adventures of a task force responsible for protecting Earth against an invasion by a group of extraterrestrial androids and aliens led by Zelda. Terrahawks was less straight-laced than any of Anderson’s previous series, featuring a wry, tongue-in-cheek humour as well as dramatic jeopardy.

The new show centres around Kate Kestrel as she rises through the ranks of the Terrahawks organization and defends the Earth from the alien invasion while she uncovers the secrets about her family’s dark past.

Jamie Anderson, managing director of Anderson Entertainment, said: 

“Terrahawks has always been one of my favourite Gerry Anderson series, and has an obsessive and dedicated cult following, with Zelda being one of the most regularly mentioned 80s kids TV characters online. I’m thrilled to be working with Tiny Giants on reimagining the series to entertain, inspire and excite a whole new generation, as the original series did over three decades ago”.

Stu Gamble, CEO and Founder of Tiny Giants, added:

“When I was a kid Zelda scared the living daylights out of me. We can’t wait to work with the legacy and heritage of the world co-created by Gerry Anderson in bringing Terrahawks to a brand new audience with deep, rich characters and world-building that can pull you in and not let you go.”

Anderson Entertainment has been working on early redevelopment with Star Wars artist and well-known illustrator JAKe, and is now joining forces with Tiny Giants to prepare the show for pitching to broadcasters and SVODs. JAKe will continue in a senior creative role. The series will also see original Terrahawks designer and FX supervisor Steve Begg returning to reimagine the Terrahawks vehicles.

Kate Kestrel and the Terrahawks is being executively produced by Jamie Anderson (Gerry Anderson’s Firestorm) and Stu Gamble (Mansour, Nexo Knights). Showrunner is Mark Hoffmeier (Spiderman, Nexo Knights, Marvel Super Heroes – Guardians of the Galaxy: The Thanos Threat) who is producing with Mike Penketh (Bob’s Burgers, Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder and Tron) and Vicky Kjaer Jensen (Ninjago).

The classic Terrahawks series was recently remastered in high definition by Network Distributing who manage worldwide distribution. Classic series licensing is managed by Larkshead Media.

BASICALLY, in simpler terms, Firestorm is a fanseason between Seabound and Crystallized, because EVERYONE assumed Kai was getting a season (we got a Lloyd season out of nowhere), and we Kai fans are seasonless once again. However, the gap between Seabound and the next season after Firestorm will be more than a year for this season to work.

So far, the story goes like this: Kai hides his grief and caters, but one night, when he was out trying to avoid Nya's posters he runs into thugs that were harassing a woman. Kai got pretty angry because they were disgsracing the city Nya sacrificed to protect. He meets a young man named Alvern Wand, who acts like a counselor and wants to help him with his grief.

Things get a LOT more complicated after a few secrets are revealed, and new threats that involve a 'virus' that continues to haunt him even irl, some 'glass warriors' trying to convert him to their side to kill Alvern, him not being able to remember what happened when he spends too long with Alvern... you know... normal things.

Normal, right?

Happy to have you here!! Our little corner of the fandom may be small, but the Destiny is STRONG! And of course I've got tons of au's and head canons for these idiots! They own a fraction of my brain!

My au's for them; your generic, "Morro Returns During the Day of the Departed," AU, where he has to earn everyone's trust and slowly realizes that he is a good ninja, and he always was.

My, "Morro and Kai take over Skybound" AU, where Morro and Kai play the roles of Jay and Nya in Skybound respectively.

My Morro's Teas AU, which has Morro come back during the DoTD, but he works at Wu's Tea Shop instead of being a ninja.

My Samurai Morro AU, which is where Morro secretly teams up with Pixal and becomes Samurai X.

Then there's the SCP AU, which I... Haven't totally abandoned but also haven't spoken about in forever lol. Kai is a Security Guard turned Class-D, and Morro is an SCP that's basically a sentient gust of wind.

NOW ONTO THE HEADCANONS BABEY

Destinyshipping Headcanons part I lost track years ago and I'm not counting anymore.

Kai is the one to teach Morro Spinjitzu. Seriously, anyone else who tries just can't seem to help him get it down. Kai however? Instead of making Morro run the training course, he forces him to go through the motions during a sparring session. Morro eventually realizes the movements are the same, and spins himself right into Kai's arms on purpose on accident

They race on their elemental dragons all the time, but Kai never wins against him. After all, Morro is the master of Wind for fuck's sake, he was born to be in the sky. Kai doesn't mind losing to him though, because it's also the happiest he's ever seen Morro since he reached his true potential.

Speaking of - Kai was essential in helping Morro unlock his full powers. Even if he redeems himself, it takes ages for Morro to realize that he never needed to become the green ninja. It isn't until he hears Kai's story, how he realized he needed to protect the Green Ninja instead of becoming him, that he's able to accept it. After all, if Kai of all people could come to terms with being ordinary, surely he can as well.

Oh. My. God. The yelling these two do. Every day they're "arguing" over something new. Either Kai's breath smells, or Morro's hair is messy, or the room is a mess. These petty ass hoes fight about EVERYTHING! It's all harmless, but the main reason these two may end up moving into their own place is absolutely because of the yelling.

Kai's parents absolutely LOVE Morro! Maya is a little more wary at first, because she knows Morro's past and only wants what's best for her boy, but Ray is the most supportive thing in existence. He's happy that Kai has someone, and he welcomes Morro into the family with open arms.

Bonus: Garmadon teasingly called Kai his nephew once because of the relationship and Kai has since not been allowed to be alone in a room with him again for both of their safety.
