Fitness Influencers In the early 2010’s, after the birth and rapid growth of Instagram, fitness influencers emerged. Fitness influencers already were around on YouTube in the mid-2000’s, but the creation of Instagram allowed for influencers to connect with their fans in a way that was not possible before. Instagram allowed for instant and direct communication that allowed for influencers to flourish. Top Fitness Instagram Influencers their current followings: Michelle Lewin - 13.4 million Jen Selter - 12.8 million Kayla Itsines - 11.5 million The fitness Industry in 2019 is valued at 94 billion. The ladies listed above generate the majority of their income by selling “fit guides”. Their guides range from $10-20 dollars for a monthly subscription, and if you purchase a 6, 8, 10, or 12-week guide it will cost you around 60-80 bucks. If 1% of Michelle Lewin’s followers buy just her monthly plan, she is bringing in a cool 1.3 million. A month.
